Transcript

It's the downbeat on ninety seven to one, the freak. How's that phone service for you, Mike? Been good for you lately. There's four wireless networks now, uh yeah, well Boost is only one that's on my mind, Kevin, and that's Boost Infinite. Oh yeah, you're talking about eighty five to five five five Boost will be a phone number. Get Boosty, Yeah, Boosty fest Boost Infinite's uh incredible. And you're seeing a lot of probably seeing commercials on on TV and things like that all over the place.

Why are you stuck on this? Well, the people have been doing it for the last fifty years. Why not the people who are doing it for the next fifty years? I like the next fifty Yeah, and that's Boost Infinite dot Com Evolve. You know what their trick is, keVs No. So you're on the phone, right, I do know, but imagine like it. Then it cuts out and you're like, damn it, Well I'm stuck on this network. I just have to wait till it decides that I

can continue this phone call. It's not a Boost Infinite. It's all about what they do. Switch you zap it over to a new network, a different one, a better one. A more efficient one, and then back to the best one wherever you're at. It's gonna be the best one, best service wherever you are, all at a lower price. And you can do this whole thing online too. You don't have to go into some store and deal with some nerd kid who's going through a thousand plans you gotta stare

at. You can just do it all online at boost infinite dot com. My god, incredible, it's credible. It's boost infinite. But we have to get to We gotta go hot news right now, go hit it now, JJ now goo balls. Wow, what's happening? Michael? I have all this stuff for dingos our news, but it brought you by Andrews American

Pizza Kitchen. We have a fire, dude, and this is You're not gonna know hear about this any And I don't know in the grand scheme of fires, like what makes the big news or whatever, but this is a fire that we can see from our window. It's right off Inwood Road, just west of Inwood sort of where Inwood peels off kind of parallel to the toll way north of six thirty five, So if you're driving you might see smoke but there's this warehouse. We can see it from our window. I

mean, walk over there and do a little corresponding update. I think you sell the phone because we can't literally see it from here, but like ten feet from us, there's another window, and there's a warehouse, a bunch of people outside. There are no fire trucks. Say, okay, JJ just went we have an update from JJ Jackson just moments ago went and looked at this giant fire. JJ. Yeah, it looks like the first responder

just pulled up. First responders backing people away from the building. It was like someone's yes, kind of direct traffic and lucky for them, these are not comedy first responders like Kevin, Danny and I are at six am here each and every morning on ninety something on the freak. There's an actual fireman, but I've not seen a bunch of trucks go by. And we're talking

about eight, eight minutes, ten minutes. This thing's been blazing. I don't know if it's a vehicle right outside of the warehouse or what it appears to be, maybe coming from outside the warehouse door, but it's I'm close to this building where this whole not this building that we're in, but the building right across the street from us might be in serious danger. Okay, Ao said, it looked like it came from the inside out, like the way that the fire kind of just yeah, escalated, escalate it? Now?

Can I recklessly try to get a location here? What well? Can we like? I don't want to, you know, call a business out because I could miss. But I'm just going off the map. I know where Costume World is, I know where we are. You could, you know, you could kind of use some context clues here to see what the building is that we're talking about. You know what I'm saying? I heart does see I heart building? Do you have me? Okay, I'm also

on this microphone. Did you call our cell phone or did you call it the no? I call the hot line? The hot line. Did you ever gonna walk to the window? Now? Okay, he's gonna walk to the window. Give us a good first hame. Look, also, look, we want you to avoid the first responders. We have candy cane Lane, you know, hot chocolate truck down here at fourteen oh one. But you can also see the fire. I guess Kevin, do you have me? Yes? I got your mic you can't hear me, I can hear

you. I'm gonna walk ten feet away from you and keep an eye on this fire. That's inferno that we have. There's another first responder raising the raked down inwood road, chaos in the hallway ship. No, it's no joke. This is a legit, pretty nasty fire right across the street from us. I imagine if once again, if you are on the tollway, you're gonna see plumes of smoke just to the west. I'm now counting one large fire truck, one ambulance, one, two, three police vehicles.

Now it looks like a total of three fire trucks. Another one coming. I'm curious how many you know, how many trucks actually respond to something like this that we have hoses on fire right now? Though this is good news, Kevin, Are you with me? I am with you. There's okay, So there's a couple of businesses that I could could throw out that it could be them. Is that dangerous to do or not? Probably there's an envelope supplier that's over there. Okay, that's a lead candidate. But doesn't

it look like that fire is happening on a building towards the back. It's not the first one off the road. Yeah, it looks like probably the last warehouse door of this building, or maybe in the parking lot behind it, and just right at the corner of the building, I may see wooden pallets. I don't know. Oh okay, but there are vehicles in danger. There's some big brush like trees that are really close. But oh my god, we are now at one, two, three, four, five

six alarm fire I can report. I don't know if that's how any trucks are here, if that's what that means. There's all there's an oil change place that's over there, but I think that is behind the envelope place. So you're saying oil and envelopes are both in play right now. Yeah, there's also a hardware store, but I don't think that would be it. I'm watching a fireman extend a hose all the way to a fire hydrant.

Fire hydrants are friends that you just tend to not notice until you need them, and an incredible segment we could do one day about the history of fire fire hydrants, the rules and laws about putting them, and where they go. I mean, it's pretty wild that our infrastructure allows for and why a Dalmatian. Yeah, it's pretty amazing. Now it looks like they kind of

maybe are getting this thing under control, but there's a lot. Oh, they're reeling some sort of like a medical you know, like the gurney bed type thing. So I don't know if we have someone injured or smoke inflation here, but we If the fire was at one hundred percent three minutes ago, I'd say the fire is now at about fifteen to twenty percent. It's more smoke than fire. Again, just west of Endwood, right here in the Addison Farmers Branch area, we had an inferno that started sometime during the

last break. We were looking at it. Before there was one police car or one siren, and right now I'm seeing at least ten ten vehicles on the scene. Wow. Man, there's a lot of buzz up in the hallway there with you. Mike. Now, if this how would you have is the plume? Has it gotten much bigger since we saw it five minutes ago? The flaming the plume of flame? Yeah, now that is far. Oh. We are right now extending one of the fire truck ladders.

Oh, we may see an attack from the top side of this warehouse. I was first alerted to this by our friend Ao, who was as an office. He was looking out the window. I walked into that office and he was just staring at the flame and slowly easing his shorts down as I startled him. I'm let me crank open a beer. Okay, Well, we keep going and doing great extended fire hoses. We have the big ladder being extended. There are firemen right on top of this thing. I mean

they have it down to where I almost cannot see a flame. I just see a sea of flashing red, yellow and some blue light as first responders are now. Yes, all over this there are I would say at least forty or so people just kind of standing at a safe distance and watching this. Yeah. I'm happy to report right now, Kevin, I see no flame. I see no flame at all right now. If that fire was at one hundred four and a half minutes ago, oh no, I see

a little bit of flame. I'm putting this fire at three to five right now, Mike, can I give an update real quick from about a minute ago on the website known as x formerly known as Twitter at Ben Rogers is on the ground right across the street getting ready for his show ten to two.

He has posted crazy fire and Farmers Branch at the Sinvo warehouse often Wood Road across from our iHeart Studios. Now, we would need two sources to confirm that that's the send Vo warehouse, but Senvio is the envelope supplier. Well, I have great news for you, Kevin. I'm staring at the sign in front of the building and it does say sendbo on that CEMBEO. That has two sources, Kevin, go with that. Put that one on the air. We're gonna go with it at Senvo. You can go to

senvo dot com. So also, you know, I said, I feel a little personal connection to this because that's where we kind of had a part of our launch here. Friday did end up kind of stretching as we were hitting golf balls into the Sinvo parking lot. But I looking online, dude, what Ben saying, and that is a that is a crazy plume. There's a lot of people who are closer to the fire. Then I would feel like, I'm assuming that's workers who are just sprinting out the warehouse door.

Is that? What are you still seeing people down there? I do they're all at least I don't know, seventy five, probably one hundred feet away from a fire that appears to be nearly all extinguished. Now there are adjacent warehouses and buildings. I think anyone anywhere near this area is it is coming to take a look. But yeah, it's a pretty big warehouse.

I would guess that people in other businesses in the same warehouse, assuming it's not all envelopes and oil, as you reported earlier, have run outside and stood outside by their cars. I do against that ambulance who has sort of one of those Ohor's firemen storming into the building. I see them with masks and tanks on. I don't know if there's still something raging on inside this building. But again, right now, I just see smoke. I see no flame. I'd like to report the flame is at zero to what I

can see. Okay, let me ask this. If there is a god, don't you think that he would turn on a little bit of rain to help out he's going to the drizzle today. I don't know if that was part of the plan to get ahead of this. Oh they're brushing out what was on fire now, So I mean I dog gone it. I'm gonna go ahead and report this thing has been contained. Oh he's calling it. Yeah, I'm calling it. And you have the authority to do that.

Detective Dick Shale on the case. Thank you, I do. We at ninety seven won the Freaker now at precisely eight forty six a m. On this Thursday, are calling this fire contained and we're willing to go so far to say this fire has been extinguished. Okay. I've texted Ben Skinning Cristiina just to see if they happen to go outside, and you know, if there's a boots on the ground report, I've told then't to call the hotline, assuming they know the hotline number. What does this How does this affect

the hot chocolate giveaway in the Candy Cane Lane Hot Chocolate truck Tour. I don't have that answer right now, but I do have some other big breaking news. I have somebody I've found that was on the ground. I'm not sure if responsible for what happened, but we'd like to interview the real quick, if you guys don't mind, Yeah, we're live on the air. I have Ben Rogers who may have even felt the heat of the Great Sonovo envelope fire of twenty twenty three December pious. Oh thanks Mike. Did you

have a question for me? Hey Kevin, Hello Ben Ben? What did you see down there on the ground and have you taken in any smoke into your airwaves. I was pulling into the parking lot here at the iHeart Studios and I noticed a massive, massive fire across the street, and so I immediately thought Dallas Texas TV. I was like, I was confused. I was like, do I need to look at this with my eyes or wait

to see Dallas Texas TV post it? And I went ahead and looked at it, captured a little video and I was able to get a look at it long before the fire department was even there. You can just grab a microphone now that you're in the studio. That's ken, we're back in the studio. You also you could just grab a microphone. Were eye to eye, we are from the studio. Now this reporter is starting. I thought about you guys as I pulled into the parking lot, because you have the

only vantage point that can't see it. Yeah, putting us at risk, I don't know. But we also sprung into action and there are plenty of westward facing windows here in our building. We can keep an eye on Sonovo. I think it is officially over because, as I said, when the fire was raging, Ao was in his office for some reason, with his shorts at his ankles as he stared into the flame, and he was cross eyed. And now he's just leaning reclined in his chair, looking very relieved

and empty clean xboxes over it. How do fires start at warehouses? That only you can prevent forest fires, but we have no guidance on warehouse fires, specifically envelope warehouse fires. We could use a cartoon bear of some sort to help us here. I was listening to your show earlier. Oh, thank you, and I think, well, I think it's the best show in the whole market, not only in the morning. I love this show.

But thank you. I I heard Soroy trying to give you guidance on how to get your name on the sign and only and it has been one of your lifelong dreams, and this was your opportunity. You'll never have a fire closer. You could have run over there, run in, even if you know, hopefully everyone's okay, but you could have run in, been covered out come out covered in black smoke dust yep, and said I ran in there to save lives, and the only city council would have been like,

all right, that's it, that's it. The tiebreaker's over. Or what you could have done is like I don't know where you find one, but like find like a puppy ride or a cat and hide them under your sweatshirt and then you run in real quick and just put some ash on your face and then you run out like crying, holding the puppy over your head

like simba. Yeah, every camera turns to you. The people have only swell with pride, and the engraver starts to just chisel away at a sign and says, Kevin turned home Home of Kevin turns just be like Ben Stiller or Greg Fokker saving Jinxi cat. Yeah, running across the Yeah. And then you name that little puppy you know only or a little flame boy or whatever, and then Kebby adopt him off. Yeah. Yeah, it's it's that's why I carry a puppy with me at all times. Yeah, you

should have one puppy in your card all time. It's like Manudo. Once it ages out and it's no longer a puppy. I put it up for adoption. That go get a new puppy, so I can always rescue a puppy from a giant fire. And you started doing this when Skin started doing carrying puppies with him in case you saw a rattlesteak. You know, we got in trouble for this one time on the fan, Skin was obviously telling a joke and he said something about it. I always carry a puppy with

me, so giantangerous rattlesnakes there, I just throw the puppy down. We're doing a story on a rattlesnake attack or whatever it's going. You know what I do. I always carry a puppy with me, cast toward the strike. Yeah, and then you're packing up your backpacks and leave the studio. Whoever your boss is. Like, guys, he was mad, I need a couple of minutes. Yeah, a puppy thing. Here's mad when I have puppy thing. It's Cowboy game day like it is. It looks like

a movie. There's thirty seven fire trucks there now. But I got there before fire trucks were there, and I was in the parking lot and as I was leaving the parking lot. I was all right, I got a little video. Skin was pulling in and he had this big smile on his face and he was pointing at the fire, going, did you see the fire behind you? And then as I pulled in the garage, he went

to do a lap around to get a better look at it. Yeah, there's a lot of people standing closer to the fire than you would think. Although if it's an envelope warehouse there, I guess there's not a lot of explosives. Yeah, maybe not, but you said oil was in play. There's an oil change service nearby. But yeah, when the pros get here, they're like, guys, back up and honestly like we're having a little fun with it. But that was a rager for a little bit. That

was a raging clue. And what you don't know with a fire that's very large, is is explosion coming? Oh you know, what sort of other chemicals are nearby? What other you know companies are called that warehouse home and then an explosion. Somebody could be storing some gasoline there, yes, some sort of nitrate, some sort of nitrate. Well, Fortunately on the Ben and Skin show, you guys have the daughter of a fireman that's going to be on the program today. So I would imagine this is going to be

wall the wall review and coverage of the in Wood fire. I gotta I'm gonna run by a pet co and then run back over there. I think there's still time. I appreciate you get a couple of puppies. Thank you for your breaking news coverage. BENJ crank me up for a minute. Please. Oh that was exciting one second here infer No. That was as real as it gets. That was real. We've posted on I know the ninety seven one, the freaking TikTok. If you want to see video of the

fire, I know Ben posted it on X and Twitter. We're trying to get him up on Instagram as well. If you know, see a little video of the fire that we've been witnessing this morning. Fuck, we are the only people and the people listening with the knowledge that an envelope shortage might be hitting the Metroplex right now, and we can get way ahead of this right now. This is what smart investors do. This is what they do. That's going on top of it. Steve Aoki's forty six. I just have a theory that he hangs out in

So I do look forward it one day running into Steve Aokian sort of sharing some old powerboat stories, and I think he might be saying, well, okay, yeah, damn, that's pretty will speed round cake with him.
