See what Sinceosa's Funny News. Andrew's American Pizza Kitchen. Who brings you the morning news today? It's delicious. Saw a couple of picks just yesterday. I was farting around the Facebook listener group. Seemingly every couple of days, somebody makes their first trip to Andrew's American and they take the pick. And every time I see the damn pick, I think I need to get back.

It is delicious, It's incredible, and I've not heard one person say we've been lying about how unique Andrew's American Pizza Kitchen is, so uh yeah, make your first trip there as well. I know what I'm doing is I'm a well I like everyone. But one of the great things that we have in our life is the ability to mesh food with game. Yeah, Cowboys got Thursday night or this week it's the Seahawks. Andrew's American Pizza Kitchen, putting my Andrews up there. Get a little pizza for the game.

Yeah, we'll watch it there if you want to, but yeah, I like to take it home, eat and watch the game. Have delicious pizza. What more do we have to say? Visit double APK. Yeah, here's Mikey's morning News. I'm paying off the tees. The tees was verbatim. A man opened up the emergency door on an airplane headed out on the wing. What that is is a hot tease. That seems stupid that the guy would be standing on the wing, because your mind starts to you know,

You're like, well, I gotta hear that. I'm gonna sit through the break. I want to know what happened. Well, they were still on the ground. I mean that's the first level, okay, but but I wasn't gonna say that in the teas and then what people will be like, all right, what else they all somebody else got altitude would be a problem? Is hanging on the wing? That's why I said. That's that

was the trick I said, and headed out onto the wing. Okay, Yeah, like to make it sound like what why Nah, they're on the

ground, But it's still pretty crazy. They're sitting on the ground in New Orleans at Louis Armstrong International and apparently there was a heated argument between two passengers across the aisle from this one guy who was the witness, and he took out his phone and started recording, and apparently as soon as he pressed record, a guy unlatched the lock to the emergency exit door, jumped out on the window, and I guess started kind of running about there, and uh,

security and employees somehow costed him real quick like, and they sorted that out. What can make a person want to do that? Outside of drugs? Well outside of drugs, And now call sheer curiosity? There's the the bet Okay, see how much? But boy, I tell you what with bets, you start involving anything in an airport where just the crime just goes up a level, it's not the spot for it. No, I will say, we've talked to a pilot before, and you can't do that while

the thing's in flight. You know, you can't get the door open, So don't ever worry about that. But when you're sitting on the ground before they whatever pressure eye I guess or how whatever that, how that works, you can do it. And my man went out on the wing. Credible idiot. Anyway, that's the payoff with the teaser. Told you, wasn't that good? Kind of lied to you there? No, it was fine, but it was the truth. The guy got on the wing. That's

a story. And we'll never do We'll never stand on a wing of an airplane. I mean, you were in the Air Force. Do you ever stand on the wing? I don't think. Oh no, I actually have. I think there's a photo, some sort of photo thing we took, maybe all around the wing of a C five or something maybe I don't know, because there's a little spot where you can like step on the the Yeah, a stepping spot, this spot in the way spot where it doesn't say

no step. Yeah, that's really that's the most important thing. Yeah. No, I definitely have a photo of sitting on a wing of an airplane with my dad when I was a kid, or maybe at like a flight museum of some kind. Okay, yeah, technically on a wing, because it's where you would take the photo unless you're getting a straight cockpit camera. Yeah, shot, But I don't know. So it's almost like we say it too much about so many people moving to Texas. Song, Oh,

don't California, my Texas, California, my Texas. Well, they are California in at your Texas, but we're also texasing. They're California. As the US Census Bureau just yesterday, I believe, released migration at data one twenty twenty two, so we got some actual factual numbers on this mystery, which is always fun to talk about. No secret. Texas long been a destination for new business company relocations, and it was among the top destinations for

state to state migration over the last couple of years. But the number is a lot lower than I expected. I don't want to put you on the spot here and guess. Oh but oh yeah, okay, what was the net This is odd. The net gain for people moving to Texas in twenty twenty one and twenty twenty two. Okay, there's no way that it's as many as we think. Though, agree five hundred thousand too much. I think that's a good guess. I probably would have done about the same.

The net gain for Texas over those two years was one hundred and seventy four thousand people. That seems small to me, which seems very low. I would have I think I would have guessed higher than you just did. Okay, so we did this thing though, where companies fire up here and look there's the no state income tax thing is huge, clearly and then you go, how many employees can a place actually have. So if it's a big company, if it's Toyota or whatever, you know, they move here,

are they bringing in yes, fifty thousand people. Are they bringing in ten thousand people when they move their entire headquarters like Toyota did probably ten years ago now to Frisco or eight whatever it was. Yeah, they bring a lot. And I know some employees I talked to them then, yeah, and they were given the option like, hey, you want to leave California, moved to North Texas. Here's the money. Yeah, here's how much you'll

save. That's probably part of the package, and some sort of stipend for a new home. Yeah. Yeah, So they certainly incentivize them to say yes. But a lot of people do move here. So the acco is California though, Yeah, exactly. Well let me give you these numbers. So in total, Texas added six hundred and sixty eight thousand new residents across those two years. But when you factor in the people who moved away, Texas's net gain was around one hundred and seventy four thousand people. So you

don't often think of the people who are leaving Texas. You know you think about these this massive influx of people. The top five states where new Texans came from in those years twenty one and twenty two. Okay, top five states where people picked up their stuff and said we're moving to Texas. You know it complicates this for me, is that we're not retirement destination. Or maybe we are because we are savings of money. I think we are a little more than it it used to be. Yeah, I mean Florida and

Arizona, I know have been head of that list for a while. You said Florida, Okay, Florida. Well, I'm saying for retirement destinations, Florida and Arizona where yes, all right, top five states where new Texans came from. You said Florida. Yeah, but I said in a different context, but yes, it also happens to be on the list. So you know that's why I'm saying we are correct. Uh yeah, Florida's number

two? Now? Is that because Florida has a lot of people though, and that's the the odds of having more people come Like, no, there is something to that, but it is odd that people leaving Florida to come to Texas. Why how did you get here? Forty one thousand of them, nearly forty two thousand, is just that. Could you ever see your mom wanting to come here? Uh, we've talked about it only because she is getting older and we live here, you know, so to have family

closer by and that sort of thing. But I think she is quite locked in and lovely Sarasota, Florida. Did your brother Cash live here before you did? He did? And is that what made you come here? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, I wanted to work in sports. Yes, you know, so Florida. People come here outside of California. California is number one, one hundred and two thousand people moved here from California than twenty one twenty two bad questions. So California is get the most population, right,

yeah, and then Texas is number two. I believe Texas is too in Florida's three. Oh I know, Florida probably three, or New York's populated? Say it? Oh no, new York? Yeah, is that on the list? Oh? Uh, new York's number three on the list. Yeah, so it is technically working, but then it stops working for number four and five. But yeah, California, then Florida, then New York. The most people from those states moved here. Okay, the fifth most

populated, so it's California, Texas just doing the population thing. Pennsylvania doesn't apply to these two. Number four is Illinois. Why I'm looking a list that says a number. It says a state name, which is Illinois, and it says the total amount of people that came here. It doesn't have why climate? Well, yeah, and state income tax. That's the thing we bitch when we bitch about the weather in the summer, we forget how

many people are like just cool with it. Although I do think people when people have moved here from remember talking to our boss's boss's boss's boss, Paul Corvino about this, you know, over the course of the summer, Like, God, when does it does it ever get you know cooler? What is it? Like? Why do I break a sweat every time I go out to my car? And I was like, what summer's like here? And it's a guy who's spent a lot of time in Detroit and a lot

of time on the Upper East Coast. But I wonder if people just are okay with it because of the savings of state income tax. I don't think anyone who moves down here from any north Lands or hell, California, even are ready for what that summer's like. No, you can mentally prepare for it, you can think about it, but when that thing smacks you for three months straight, I don't think all the pump up speeches you give yourself in the world can get you ready for that. And I think they're shocked

by it when they feel it for that extended length of time. But it's where the Illinois would be. People in Illinois becoming down That could be because Chicago's had a huge city and that's why Illinois on the board number five. Louisiana, Illinois and Louisiana bas with about twenty five thousand people who moved to Texas in twenty one twenty two. This of course part of this new Census Bureau American Community Survey. All right, the top five states where Texans moved

to. Because again the reason we're doing this is not the total number of people that moved here was just over one hundred and seventy four thousand people, because a lot of people left destinations where Texans moved over those two years. Top five states, well, one place that you would go to because everything keeps moving north. There's play a lot of people moving to Oklahoma. Number

three in the list is Oklahoma. Twenty six thousand people left Texas. Destination Oklahoma and the other destination in places though, would be California and Florida. That's one and two. California is number one, So as much as one hundred and two thousand people moved here from California, over forty two thousand moved from here to California. Where else would people like to get? Florida's third at thirty eight thousand Oklahoma or Florida second, Oklahoma third. The other two

have not appeared on any lists so far. I have a hard time thinking that either of the Dakotas would be on the list that people would want to go to. No, I have a hard time thinking anyone would give a crap about going to Wisconsin or Michigan or Minnesota. So I want to wipe out that area. Well, those are all three beautiful states you just mentioned beautiful, so I wouldn't have a hard time believing anyone will want to go there, but they're not on the list. I don't think Texans are just

flocking off to New York and fucking about west to a beautiful place. Uh Washington, Colorado. Oh, FITZI, our buddy fits went to Colorado. So you moved to Colorado and Georgia Number five, Georgia. Yeah, that was an odd one. Interesting does Georgia have I wonder if Georgia is good tax breaks too, like we do. I don't know. Anyway, there's a lot of tax breaks for filming things. I film a lot of TV shows and movies in Georgia. Some good at Yeah, they always have that

Georgia with the peach logo. Thank you stay of Georgia. There you go. So I guess maybe less people than you thought are moving here when you factor in the amount of people that are leaving. Yeah, that's your news of the day. We had a fairly significant Dallas passing. Woman named Ronda Nail passed away. Ronda Naale, Yeah, sixty seven years old. She had a long battle with cancer. She is the city's oldest woman owned bar

proprietor. Huh, the matriarch of Dallas bars. Ronda Nail is considered She's the owner of the Dallas Site okay, which is the city's oldest woman owned bar off the Henderson And it's just in March of this year, celebrated its fiftieth anniversary, one of the oldest continuously operating bars in Dallas, and again the oldest bar in the history of the city that was owned solely by a woman. So that's that sixty seven years old, long battle with cancer.

She seemed like a very influential, powerful person the food and bev industry of our metroplex. But more interestingly, I thought there was a timeline of oldest bars in Dallas. If you would like to play or try, I'll try, Okay, I'll try. Try. Ships Ships Lounge on Greenville Avenue is the second oldest bar in Dallas nineteen forty seven. It opened. Wow, and I will say again the second oldest bar. The oldest is way older than that nineteen ten, nineteen ten. You may consider it more of a

concert venue than a bar. Texas Theater No Longhorn Bowl Room nineteen DNGU would smack this thing to the other theater. No, the Kessler nineteen ten, nineteen ten, and it's more of a concert van. Yeah, yeah, trees. No, what neighborhood deep Elum, It's on Elm Street, Okay. Oh Man also one of the best named businesses. Let's start with s S s h H s h H for words. So oh yeah, I mean it's really easy when you know it. Sons of Herman Hall, there

you go, Sons of Herman Hall that's there by Thunderbird Station. Yeah, I love Sons of Herman Hall nineteen ten. A cool place, and boy it feels like it when you will go in there, you can feel the nineteenth cool. It's very cool. I love that it's there. I need to go there more often. That was nineteen ten. The oldest Barn, Dallas. Thirty seven years later, Ship's Lounge opened up. And uh, what else are you on? Any other guesses? I know you've been to

pretty much all of these. Lakewood Landing. No, not on the list. No, look for Cosmos. No, okay, let's move out of that area. Then? Is it different an area town? I think the loon is not the same. The third oldest bar, nineteen fifty two. It's on the Greenville Avenue. There's a color in the name Greenville Avenue. Color in the name. Good place to watch a game? Oh, good place to hang out on the roof stands blue note nineteen fifty two. Yeah,

I could see that. Fourth oldest bar deep Elm Zone eight Air's Saloon, Okay, nineteen sixty three, gets you a good burger at eight AARs. Yeah, nineteen sixty four. Year later, the Inwood Tavern opened up. Boy, I'll tell you what. What's the Inwood Tavern on accident recently? And I used to like that place and you didn't. No, I used to like that place. Yeah, but you didn't, No, dude, it is crowded. I didn't douchey hot people there though. Yeah,

you go out back. And as a note, Inwood Tavern co owned by a woman for around a decade, so they are you know, we're talking about the Dallas sites, Matriarch passing away, Ronda Nail, Oh yeah, Inwood Tavern sixty four. And then you have Milo butter Fingers and Mariano's Hacienda, both nineteen seventy one. In nineteen seventy three, you have the Dallas site aforementioned, the Stoneley Pea and one Nostalgia Tavern. The one Nasties is the place I've never been, Is that right? Is that amazing? I've

never been there? Absolutely lovely place I would I need to get over. There's some time for karaoke or something. Yeah, i'n't had my birthday party at Milo's millions of times over the last decade. Yeah, but oh, there you go, there's that real quick. Uber has a new safety feature being rolled out here in North Texas. Essentially, it's called record my Ride. So if you are in an Uber and you see a camera looking back at you, probably from the dashboard or from the rearview mirror, that it

might be commonplace in the near future. It is a feature designed to keep riders and drivers safe during trips, but Record my Ride is not being tested out here in the Metroplex, and the way it works, recording starts shortly before the driver's trip begins ends when the trip is completed. Riders do get a notification on their app that says, what's happening. You've been matched to a driver who is using this feature. They say. The file will be

immediately encrypted and stored on the driver's phone. Nobody can watch it, not even the company. The only way it can be seen is if the driver submits a safety report to Uber and attaches the video. The file will then be decrypted for a trained safety agent to review. Makes sense because some drivers already do the dash can video anyways, right, which I think is a no no oh? Is it really? I think it was just TC about that. Well, they have forward facing d Street and cams. But anyway,

this is now a feature that is being rolled out in Dallas. I don't freak out if they got a little camera staring at you, keeping an eye on your business. Are you gonna hit me with a joke? It is Dad Joke Week. We had a doozy yesterday and it's hard to top and jokes are hard to land. You know. I actually told a joke on a Zoom meeting, but nobody laughed. It turns out I'm not even remotely funny.
