The Packers have much of a chance on Sunday to you, yeah, I would say the Cowboys fans have reason to have some confidence going into this football game because when you look at a game like this, you start looking at your your recipe or your script to success. How do you get to a victory? And for the Green Bay Packers, there's several things that have to, you know, fall into line. For Dallas Cowboys, they could play a sloppy quarter or maybe even a sloppy half and still figure out how to
win this football game, depending on how that goes. And you know, for the Packers, they're facing a top five offense, a top five defense, and this Packers team, who has been up and down offensively, has hit its stride as of late. But they're going to have to score some points. Looking that, on the other side of the football, you got Dak Prescott, a number one scoring offense and the whole NFL. So I say that to say this Cowboys defense has been so good, but they they've
turned the ball over all opponents. I think that is going to play a big part in this football game because a lot of their success defensively has to do with the turnovers that they have. The Green Bay Packers are one of the best teams in the NFL of taking care of the football. If they can play to that, if they can play to their style of football, they can keep this thing close. Score some points. You've got to be a fishing in the red zone and then keep it close at the end and
anything. It could be a coin flip at the end if it doesn't go that way, if the Cowboys turn the ball over, if the Cowboys score two touchdowns on their first two drives, and this thing turns into you know, Packers have to throw the football and not just be able to run with Aaron Jones, this thing could get out of control. Being as close as you are to coach McCarthy, and I'm sure you've kept your eye on the
Cowboys this season and his trajectory. How do you feel about his evolution as a play caller throughout the season And do you feel like it is decidedly different now than it was in the beginning. Yeah, I do, I really do. And I got to say this, when coach Michael was in Green Bay, he was constantly evolving, always trying to tinker and tweak the offense. He was calling it or if Tom Clemens was calling it, or if Edgar Bennett was calling it, didn't matter. He was always trying to tweak
it and evolve it. And quite frankly, that's you know what ended up turning into a disaster in seventeen and eighteen in Green Bay. The evolution of the offense was not good. It evolved into a bad spot and it didn't resonate with the players. But I see down in Dallas more of a rejuvenated MIC. He's mixing up personnel groups, He's using shifts and motions very well.
He's keeping defenses in a spot where they have to communicate constantly pre snaps that all the checks and balances are done post snap for the defense, and that makes it very difficult on him. So I like what he has done. And Dak Prescott has been exceptional throughout the course of the season. I think he's deserve it of at least an MVP vote, if not making it competitive with Lamar Jackson. So yeah, I like everything that Mike has done
with that offense down there. But I got to tell you, guys, I'm not surprised this is a John former Packers, or you a fullbacker or running back. I mean, look, they used you at running back sometimes. What do you prefer to go by? Offensive weapon? What are you man? I'm gonna call it running back on that one. And that's that's the title I'll take right there. Thank you, I appreciate it. Former
Pak Yeah, former Backers running back John kun also does the sideline. He does radio open and green Baby also does sidelines for the Packers radio broadcast. So like when you had played the super Bowl here, that was ice storm weekend here in DFW, and when you played in the d do you remember much about that week and how crazy it was weather wise because we weren't really ready to handle that type of weather down here in DFW. What do you
remember about that week? I remember telling every textan that I came in contact with that sand is not the same thing as salt. They don't work the same on the roads. So when you put sand on top of ice, it's just stay slippery. It doesn't grab it all. Yeah, we were really looking forward to a warm weather Super Bowl figure and that we were coming from Green Bay, but the snow put us right into our place. And I'll tell you guys this. We were supposed to practice at SMU stadium.
What you guys know is in outside stadium. We cannot do that that week because they didn't have the ability to because it was kind of vice but it was kind of snow and it was a little bit of a mush and with that turf field, they weren't really able to make the field safe for us to practice on. So we had to practice at a high school. And I can't remember which high school was, but I was fascinated by the fact
that we practiced at a high school indoor practice facility. I'm gonna say that again because the Wisconsin that is unheard of an indoor practice facility for high school and it was fascinating. It was fun because a lot of us got that throwback field of what it used to be like to be in high school and when you play football in high school and the smells of the high school locker room and the smells of the high school practice facility. It was fun.
It was kind of bringing us back to our childhoods before we went into the biggest game of our lives. Are you, as I'm asking you, because he's in the headlines a lot, are you in touch with your old quarterback? Aaron Rodgers much. Oh yeah, I talked to him still from time to time, and I let him know when he gets the world, you know, freaking out about the things that he says, and you know he likes to have fun with that type of stuff. And hey, here's the
deal with Aaron Rodgers man unfortunate situation with the Achilles this year. I was really looking forward to seeing what he could do with the New York Jets with that roster and in that market did not come to be. And I'm just wondering, right, he turns forty years old next year, how long is he going to continue to do this? Because you'd like to see him at least be able to finish the season before he calls it a career. Let me ask you a question about Aaron real quick. And I don't want to
linger on this. Part of me believe he wants to believe because I think he's kind of a smart ass. That part of him is just trolling the world with some of his stuff. I was curious, says, you obviously know him better than most. How what percentage of that is real deep belief conviction and how much of it is just you know, I'm just gonna throw a can of gas on it and just watch people react. I would say it's a good bit of both, and I would say there's also a good
bit of sarcasm. There's a good bit of inside innuendos jokes that only his closest friends truly understand, which you would say doesn't make for good theater, doesn't make for good television. But to him, that's what's funny. That's how he likes to row. And he's always been one to be distrustful of
the media in some sense. He doesn't feel like they drive the correct narrative that they should drive, so to that extent, he doesn't care if he throws them off the scent of what he really believes and how he really feels based off of the things that he says. But boy, I'll tell you it's polarizing up here in Green Bay. It's definitely polarizing, and the fan base is one or ever, there's never an in between. The Aaron Rodgers
