A spike in cases in China has made headlines, though the World Health Organization assures infection numbers are at expected levels. Dr. Satchan Takaya, division head for infectious diseases at the University of Saskatchewan, explains what HMPV is and how we can better communicate about infectious disease outbreaks abroad.
