What's going on? Everybody? We are live with somebody that I've been trying to virtually meet God since like the dawn of time. How are we doing, Bob? I'm doing good. How are you? Man? Thanks for having me on. I'm looking forward to this doing well, everybody. This is Bob from Bob's Blu Rays. If you have not subscribed, link is in the description below. Link to follow him on Instagram, where he is very active, is down there as well, so please give him a follow
on both places. We got my friend Brian here. What's going on? Brian? Uh uh? What's been going on with the channel? Man? You're you're doing a lot more than you were for a long time. Yeah. Well, I didn't do live streams. I didn't know how to, and then stream yard I learned how to do that, got myself kind of on the laptop. The first time I was ever a guest on someone's channel, I used my phone without any headphones and nobody could hear me. It
was terrible. I watched her weekly and I was like, that is the I was the worst guest of all time. And so yeah, I ended up getting I'm on the laptop now and it works pretty well. I feel like I want to get a mic, you know, eventually once I start doing more YouTube and things like that. But I'm looking to like the stuff you see behind me. I get a lot of stuff boxed up now,
so I'm trying to move in the next couple of months. So I'm just waiting to get a mic and do all that until I move and I'm situated. How far are you moving? Not far, just like probably twenty minutes away Tinley, even like four doors down. Is it not harrowing as hell to plan to move a collection? Yes, I mean it's funny the way
we as collectors think and like everything. Whenever I go out to eat or something, I'm like, man, I could have bought a steal book with that money, and it's just like, instead of thinking in terms of money, I'm always thinking in terms of movies. Yeah, I get that. My kid broke his God with MacBooks. They always have that giant power brick attached to the power chord, and he cracked his in half. And I was like, you know, that's like a good trilogy right there already,
Like that's a lot of money. So yeah, that was a learning experience for him. Yeah, we are I don't remember how much I've talked about on the channel. We're considering moving early next spring, so all of this giant crap around me. I am dreading moving every single one of these pieces. I don't know how to even begin, Like this is a lot a lot, a lot, a lot, And how OCD are you with your
like slip covers in the edges? Uh? Not as ocd as most people, but I certainly don't want to do more damage than it arrived to me with. So like all my vinegar syndromes, I've got slip covers in the protectors, except for the last little bit that they've been sold out waiting to buy more from theirs. My sisters begging me in the comments to move to Arizona. I want to both to Arizona. By the way, Courtney, I watched the video with you and Ryan, and I got a sister myself,
so I messaged him like I watched it immediately. I couldn't wait. He teased it. I hate teasers because I'm like, I want to watch it now, but that video is awesome. And I got two sisters myself, and I was like immediately, I was like, I want to do
something like that with my sister. We we did quite a few, and there's actually one I held back that I am about to release on the channel because it was made for October. So yeah, I got one more coming with Courtney, and I can't wait for me to see it because it turned out pretty pretty wild. Now I totally missed it. Did you get to dress her up in the makeup? I missed that video? I gotta watch it. I can't believe I missed that. She has been in I think
three or four different videos on the channel already. Yeah, we got a video up where she interviewed me, we did the trivia, I did her makeup, and then gosh, there was at least one more video. I'm exhausted, so I'm forgetting something easy. I'm sure gotcha. And where are you at right? So you're not in Arizona, obvious? Kansas City, Missouri? Oh okay, so you're yes, because you're Why do I always
forget these things? Because you're out? By KB? Yep? Yeah, KB and I have hung out multiple times now and actually seen him again next Wednesday. KB is another one he does. He teases his conversations and then I gotta wait like five days for it, and I love his conversations, and I've said this to you on Instagram, Like, podcasts and conversations are great because I drive a ton and so I just the play button. I
don't have to watch, you could just listen. So like I took an hour and five minutes to listen to yours in Kb's conversation, which was awesome talking about Fly and other movies. Yep, yeah, that was a fun one. We did that just a couple of days before we went to see all eight of the Nightmare and Elm Street films together and then next Wednesday.
Kind of a big deal for me. I've been trying to do this the last couple of times they've been around, but could not do it until now I finally get to see Goblin Live with Suspiria as they're playing the soundtrack to it. Oh that's awesome. Yeah, I can't wait. And it's at the same theater that we went to see Nightmare and Elm Street. Christopher wants to save a huge Titans fan. Go Blue, Blue, Go Titans. Yeah, man, there's why is everybody suddenly signing a petition for me to
move to Arizona? This is wild? How long with you man, because the weather and just I went to Scottsdale one so I've been to Arizona and we did like we hiked camel Back Mountain and oh my god, Arizona was great. It was a good time. Obviously, the people you're with makes a difference things like that. For sure, it was a lot of fun.
Yeah, we grew up in the Mohave Desert in California, so I'm used to the temperature for the most part, but Arizona doesn't really get as as cold as that part of California did, and here now I'm just kind of used to the cold. I'd rather have that. I gotta be honest, what is it. What's the temperatures right now? Uh? Today, I think it was nice, like sixty three, and then all of a sudden, tomorrow it's gonna be midsummer again. Get up to like eighty five,
even though a couple days ago our high was like thirty six. That's funny. It was about sixty sixty three here actually, So yeah, I ended up. I was telling you I have looked tired and run down lately. I ended up passing out in my car today. I pulled over for a bit and I passed out so and I woke up and I was like sweating because it was so hot. Yeah, it was certainly a hot one compared to the rest of the week. And now I've got people trying to
get me to move to Omaha and San Diego. Uh gosh, this is getting wild. Christopher says, Bob, your collection looks amazing. Thank you. I appreciate that. Well, you want to talk about some pickups. You just mentioned steel books? Any any new steel books in that pile that you just grabbed a show off to people? What do you got lately? No, I got the punish your ward zone. But I didn't grab steel
books. I just grabbed a couple slipcovers, some stuff. I'll show off of steel book then, because I believe you just took a picture of you getting this one. This new ring steel book is pretty dang slick. I was not expecting this paper slipcover to be nice, and it's actually kind of decent. It's not terrible shape. I heard the design planing because it wasn't plastic like lions Gate or their other one. What was the previous paramount slipcover
steel book they did for it was a screen factory title. I believe, oh gosh, I'm drawing a blank. Hear them ount screen factory title. That would be screen Factory that did it? No, No, it was a screen It was a previously released architectory. Sorry, Paramount put it out. It was, Oh god, it's like it's in space. I believe helped me out here. It has oh uh Event Horizon, thank you. Yes, And that came with the plastic slip and I believe that was Paramount
right, Uh, it might be Paramount. I'm not sure. I don't remember the studio on that one. In fact, I might be able to see the screen Factory one from here. Uh, I don't see the Paramount logo. I'm not sure who that is. Anyways, a look at that Terry was answering Event Horizon as well. Yeah, that lots of people complained about the plastic not being plastic, but I like that. That is that is sexy, it's meant it works well. And then on top of that,
the whole like static tracking steel book on the inside. Really well done on this, love this design and I love this movie. So recent pickups? What do you got? All? Right? So I just watched this
how monetized? Like am I am do I need to be like GPG on your channel you can no slurs, but I mean, I don't give a fuck basically, okay, all right, cool, because I didn't know this was Linae quickly running around but ass naked in this And when somebody told me, I, for one, I thought, whoever that was looked incredible. Okay, for one, I'm gonna get a little personal here, but I
never see anybody completely shaved or wax like that in the eighties. And I was like, a couple of my friends were like, you know, that's Renee Quigly and Linnea and I was like, what, So she looks pretty trashy in this movie Duds. That's why I said that, come on, kind of punk yesh. But I just watched Jacko as well, and I think she has the shower scene in that one, so I guess she and she was in Knight of the Demons and played a nude scene, right,
so she's been nudable a whole lot, I guess. Oh yeah, she was one of the big ones. Yeah yeah, but she looked really good in the eighties and moving Dad was fun. That was the first time watched for me. Whoa, yeah, how man, I mean short review. Other than just being a ton of fun, what'd you think? Overall?
Slow, slow, build a little bit. But you know what's funny is people always talk about what twenty eight days later Donna the Dead remake becoming kind of the first Zombies films that run, But nobody talks about that one. That one did it? Yeah, they did it a little bit for sure. Yeah, so that's one of them. You want me to pull my other two? Yeah? Hell yeah, go for it. Right. Let's see, I have not watched this version of it yet. I do not
have the screen factory. I've seen this once. It's not the Faculty in my opinion, but I think it's really good too, So I call this one a fun movie, but it's definitely not a good movie. Now, are you a big faculty fan? I am a huge Faculty fan. I adore them movie. His Faculty is kind of like my life. I love the Faculty that and scream. I not to get anybody super addicted to another hobby, perhaps, but Ice, who is in the chat, now, what's going on? Ice? Ice? Got me addicted to art kind of
custom but they're like commissioned art prints. You have you paid attention to this industry ever. No, So there are many artists and a lot of them do like the cover art for a lot of these releases. They do like the posters for conventions, stuff like that. There are groups on Facebook and a couple other websites where they dedicate these groups to essentially forming commission groups.
So we'll say fifty people to group together to pay the art fee for an artist to draw a full on poster of one of these titles, and they get the actual rights to be able to put it out. They know what they're doing. They do it really nice, super high quality, the good like this needs to be framed type of print. One of them just announced they're doing a faculty print next week. I'm like, I'm kind of poor right now, but it's the Faculty movie. I missed out on the T
shirt said who did those Gutta grabs? I think it was Gutta Gards. Yeah, why did they only do that for forty eight hours? Gutta Garbs does that a lot. I'm not entirely sure why, but yeah, they tease those for a short time and then it seems like they say this one's back for another limited time for like the next eight times that it gets released, I don't know, gotcha, And the last one I can't remember. I was asking you about a movie. You were like, I have not
seen those, but we've got The Cure. Have you seen this one? Not yet? No, I do like the Mill Creek retro slipcovers, though yeah I do too. I don't think it's got reversible, but no, it might underneath, but once I take off the shrink crap. The Cure is kind of like a staple of my childhood. Absolutely just grew up with it and I have the DVD of it. So I was like, and I mean, even if you don't like Mill Creek, I mean for nine ninety nine or ten ninety nine, with those retro VHS slips, it's pretty
cool. And it's nostalgia to me because I grew up in the nineties with VHS, so that's pretty cool. And that's why they do it. I mean, it gets you with a lot of those titles. And the crazy thing is the nine ninety nine that's post inflation. There was like three years ago. Those Mill Creek VHS titles were eight dollars on release day. That's crazy eight bucks, not on sale, nothing like that, and then every once in a while they'd go on sale for like five It's like, what
crazy, that shouldn't be possible. I know it's not the same thing. It's comparing apples oranges or whatnot. But like we've talked about thanks to him, I was gonna say Tim would love the Mondo posters you were talking about. I was like, if Tim talks talk, he's in here. I was gonna say that, that's funny, he's in here. But yeah, it's it's funny when you compare like something that's nine ninety nine to like Synops film Steel Book, which I love Synops films, but like forty nine ninety
nine, it's crazy. It's a lot. Yeah, I mean fifty bucks for a slipcover steel Book is it worth it? I mean, honestly, they're really high quality, and you and I have had this talk before. They're very nice releases. But at the same time, other labels are able to put out films like that and maybe even more expensive titles for about the same quality, and they're a little less expensive. I don't know. I'm not going to question Synaps's model. They're doing pretty well for when you talked
about like retro VHS slips. Anybody who knows me, it's the numbered spines that get me. I'm out of control with numbered spines. They know what they're doing, though, Oh yeah, you're not the only one. Speaking of numbered spines. My first pick up I'll talk about is Criterions release of Takeout. This is, of course, the Sean Baker directed Takeout, who I just interviewed on the channel. I'm very eager to revisit that one again.
Bj Novak from the Office finally got a physical release for the movie that he wrote and directed and starred in, and sure too, I haven't seen that one. It's supposed to be great and I've always loved bj Novac, so I had to get that on release day. And then, speaking of plastic slipcover, Steel Books Best Buys four K release of The Limy. This is legitimately one of the best movies of all time. Really beautiful Steel Book on this. I am ready to watch this again, probably November, because
my wife has never seen it and it's been ages. It never got a Blu Ray release in the States. It went straight from DVD to four K, so I love to see releases like that. We need way more movies to just make the leap. I mean there's still somebody that are only out on vhs, never had a disc release. I'd love to see some of those make the jump to four K. Yeah, let's see what we got going on in the chat, because I have not checked in in a long time. Uh, let's see too hot in Arizona. Winters are no fun
in Arizona. As someone who has literally moved from k C, Missouri to Arizona, it's worth it. Uh. And then my sister guilt tripping me videos could happen all the time, cool weather or sister time, Sister time, for sure, I'm starstruck. We got Holland Oats here tonight. Does he jump in a lot of your streams? No? I think he's only here for you, my friend, You are the celebrity here tonight. Holland Oats is demand. Yeah, I've seen him on a bunch of your videos.
After the fact, Holland Os. He's made some good comments before, too. Frightened got incredible one liners. Man, He'll have some tonight. Have you ever seen fright Night? The four kse deal Book? Yeah, I just I just rewatched it. I prefer The Lost Boys Fright Night's not my favorite vampire movie. It's probably not in my top five. I guess I missed the train when I watched it, though, I feel like there's a lot of nostalgia in there. Miss I missed that because I didn't watch
it until a couple of years ago for the first time. And like, I know he's he's hypnotizing her, but I'm like, I just like that whole scene with his girlfriend pisses me off, just the way she's like, I know it's hypnotized and she's hypnotized, but I'm like, what the heck, she's just like easily seduced. Yeah, And as far as Lost Boys, I feel like that one holds up for a first time watch nowadays better. Lost Boys is one of those that there's not a whole lot in it
that makes it feel dated. It's kind of a fairly timeless film. I mean, they don't have cell phones, but I mean that's a lot of movies. There's even modern movies that you know are set in the nineties. Just to get around the whole cell phone argument. Basically just being first time watches since last yet Vampire very nice. John Carpenter's Vampires in the Mouth the Man is Now, that's a great movie. And Company of Wolves very nice. Uh all right, oh there's common on the the Liamy, Gary Norris,
the Limy is great. Have the German Blu Ray? Yes? I think Germany and Spain were the only ones to get a Blu Ray release. Really really odd. Uh and Ragnar Yeah, this is embarrassing, so funny the best Buy gets exclusive things when their stores are pathetic for physical media. That comment that is one hundred percent accurate. That is the most Tim talks
talkies who's in here had a comment about that once. He said, if you're gonna be the store that's going to hold these exclusives, because he went in there once and the lady like tossed the steel book behind her head into a bin, like just chucked it. And he's like, why do you are going to be the store that holds these and then you're not even going
to take good care of them? Ridiculous. It's getting worse than that when best Buy is also the one that is holding exclusives to formats because now we have multiple films that have been released on four K only through best Buy and it's Blu Ray everywhere else, Like that. That seems extra shady to me. That shouldn't be the case at all, especially when a lot of these are only getting four K steel books and not getting four K standards at all.
I've got a shaft on four K from best Buy, which is best by exclusive, and a lot of people had a hard time finding a slipcover. My buddy I just went blu ray hunting with found it for like. I showed him it and he's like, I'm just gonna grab it. He already had it, but he grabbed it for like twelve ninety nine. He's like, because I'm just gonna use it as trade bait or something. So
many people want that slipcover and they can't get it. They can't even get the movie because it's sold out, Like you know, it's it's only on four K from best Buy. Yeah, they did that for Bob's Burgers. That Bob's Burgers movie was four K only there. And then now it looks like we're getting Clerks three from Kevin Smith will be four K only there. It's it's just ridiculous. Why are we holding things hostage? Now? That'll be a Lionsgates steel book right, Yes, yes, I am looking forward
to that and it's good art too. Yeah, I can't wait to see it. Film nutt asks what do you think of the Universal Monster's four K box sets? Have you got either one of those yet? No? I actually don't have either one, but I cannot wait to pick up the new one, especially because for one, I gotta watch some Universal movies, like the horror movies, but I really want to see Creature from the Black Lagoon.
And my best friend is he wanted to watch the Blu ray I have, but I was like, you know what, they just announced the four K. Let's wait for the four K, so I have got some catching up on those to do. But their gorgeous sets. Universal does a nice job with those. Oh yeah, I actually don't have either other four K sets yet either. I've got the Giant I think it's like sixty movies or whatever box set that they did just a few years ago, and it's a
really nice set, and I wasn't planning on doing it. But then all the freaking reviews are possibly swaying me. Man, those those movies, first of all, are timeless. I get that they're amazing, They're ridiculously good. But then the second box set it's just calling my name. I mean, Black Lagoon and The Briter Frankenstein are two of the absolute best of all time, and you get those in four K. Is mind blowing, now,
question. I always thought this, but I guess it's not. Humanoids from the Deep is not like a remake at all of Creature from the Black Lagoon. Okay, not at all. It's just ran on drugs. I enjoy the hell out of the last twenty minutes of that movie, though basically I enjoy everything about It's not a great movie. It's terrible, but I enjoy it. It's a it's an odd one, that's for sure. And it's a good looking steel book from Screenpactory. Sure it's gorgeous. Yeah.
Well, uh, I went through my pickups. Any recent watches you want to highlight before we do announcements, Oh geez, I've just been doing the thirty one Days of Halloween. I hated Halloween ends, didn't like it. But I did a whole stream on that. But Tim was on there and yeah, and I actually had to get mods after that because there was a lot of trolls. So people were telling me I need mods on my channel because I just about times I finally got mods to keep an eye on that
stuff, porn bots and all. It's out of hand. But yeah, as far as recent watches go, yesterday was the first time watch for Pumpkinhead and raw Head Rex. Oo hot take. Here would you think of Road Rex, You know what. I kind of liked that a little bit more than Pumpkinhead. I didn't love either one. I just enjoyed raw Head Rex almost reminded me of like the silliness and kills of humanoids from the Deep, especially that one scene in the trailer park or whatever, like it's just it's
just it's silly and wild and kind of my style. And I don't know, I was into that. And then Pumpkinhead great. Both had great practical effects. But I actually liked the opening kind of to Pumpkinhead with the kid and the dirt bike. I thought that was really cool. I was into that stuff. And then it kind of just, I don't know, slowed down or whatever after that. But I didn't love Pumpkinhead, but I didn't love raw Head Rex either. I thought they were both like decent film.
I historically I've not watched for a Head Rex in a few years, but I really really kind of loathed it the last time I watched it, it felt like such a waste of time. Uh, Pumpkinhead I tend to enjoy primarily because of the effects it is. I think it's Stan Winston that did the effects on that one. And uh oh look at that. Yeah, Timtoks talk. He's Pumpkinhead is such a cool movie creature worked by Stan Winston, so cool, crazy that he directed it. Uh yeah, it's it's
ridiculous. How good that the creature and that looks I'm I'm stoked on it. Uh, let's see recent watches for me in a highlight one. Because it was kind of a big week for my kids. I showed my kids, who are six and seven, I showed them Gremlins for the first time this week, and uh, blew my seven year old's mind. He was super into it. And then by by the time or the Gremlins are everywhere, he started to get like hold like trying to play it off like ha
ha, this is scary. Yeah, he started to get a little creeped out by some of it, and it was just hilarious to see him diving in. But Gremlins, I mean, first of all, I didn't remember it being that problematic. And man, Dick Miller in that movie really hates his foreigners. That's pretty much all he wants to talk about the whole movie. We got like, his tractor is built by the Americans, so of course it runs. Well, it wasn't the damn foreigners. It's like,
why does that even need to be in the movie. Anyways, Gremlins is great, really really fun movie. The four K looked incredible. That was the first time I'd watched it, primarily because I just watched it like the year before the four K came out, of course, and then yeah, this upgrade I think is really really nice, really good. Still all the grain intact, loved that movie. Phoebe Kate's, I mean, what a gift to America. Phoebe Kate's come on, you know, my eighties girl
is either Betsy Russell or Elizabeth Shoe. Though I bet you Russell in private school. Oh my god. And Phoebe Kate's is in private school too. Yes, sir, that's a that's a fun movie. Yeah, it's a lot of fun. Yeah, but Elizabeth Shoe is dynamite in the eighties. Well, speaking of problematic, we're gonna get into the announcements, and the first one, I don't want to bring it down, so we're not gonna spend a ton of time on this. But we talked about this a little
bit last week. Eighty eight Films finally gave a statement on this whole bay Logan situation. And Uh, I'm gonna read this real quick and just see what everybody thinks, because I got some thoughts. I'll see what you think as well. Uh okay, so some literally it starts with the word okay, So some of you are wondering what the deal is with By now, he organized a few interviews for super Cop. We had planned to stick an
old archive commentary of his on our upcoming Iceman Cometh release. We've listened to feedback, both positive and negative, and decided to drop the extras. Maybe we've been a bit naive in working with Bay Again, we genuinely just wanted to make the releases better and more extras packed, and that blinded our judgment. We messed up, and now we'll do our best to make it right. Q one announcements coming soon. And then this is the part that really
turned me off. Here is a sneak peek so they turned in from an apology into an advertisement. Do you know the whole bay Logan situation. Did you hear about any of that last week? Not at all. I don't even honestly, I don't even know who that is. So bay Logan is somebody that lives and works in Hong Kong and was essentially the Hong Kong Harvey Weinstein. He had about at least seven accusations against him, all credible,
multiple actual physical assaults that he supposedly did. He came out and didn't like deny anything at first. He was basically like, yeah, I've made some mistakes, and then came out after that and said, but I never broke the law, which okay, I mean there's lots of ways that that can be interpreted. So barbarian So eighty eight Films comes out and says what they just said, and to say that we were a bit naive, and then
to share this photo. They turned their apology into an advertisement. They're putting out Zombie Holocaust and Burial Ground on four K in the UK and in the Line of Duty four is getting us release. I'm not even gonna leave that on the screen for too long because it feels dirty to me to turn an apology into an advertisement. Any any comments you want to you want to say about that? I I don't know. Like I said, don't know much
on this situation. But I did just watch my Severn Film's release of Burial Ground, and I loved it. I thought it was really good. The practical effects were incredible. I don't know what. I've never heard of zombie Holocaust, but when I saw you or somebody posted that, I thought the slip cover looked great and I wanted to have it. And I don't know what the third movie is though. It's one of those Hong Kong like girls with guns types of movies I believe. Now, did you like Burial Ground?
Uh? Yes, it is sleazy fun. Yeah, it's one of those you got to be in the mood for it. But if you are, that movie hits the spot really well. The practical that was honestly like outside of the thing I thought for me. And I've just been diving into a ton of especially with October, a ton of eighties horror, and I'm starting to really experience practical effects and take a deep dive into it. And I thought Burial Ground hit some of the best. It's true. Yeah,
they certainly look great. The whole bay Logan thing was bad because basically he got ousted from the whole industry for a few years and just he basically said I'm gonna go take a rest from everything, and just because he had such negativity associated with his name, and then eighty eight Film started advertising that they were putting him on releases, and so because of that, people are like, what do you like? Everybody knows this person is a sexual assault case
waiting to happen. Why are we willingly working with him? What is his affiliation with those movies? Did it? Like Mitchell said, he used to do a lot of the old Dragon Dynasty DVD commentaries, and he lives and works in Hong Kong. He has produced some films over there, he has done He probably helps with a lot of acquisitions over there because he speaks both the local language and English, I believe, And yeah, it's just I don't know. It's just a gross way to try to come across the situation.
But even to come out and say I think we were a bit naive, it's really downplaying how much you had to actively choose to make a terrible decision there, so you won't be buying those, then I'm not canceling for
them. I'm not canceling them for myselves. I think that they made a lot of stumbles, especially because there was public outcry about this for like three weeks, and Vinegar Syndrome had been getting accused that they were working on stuff with bay Logan, and they came out the moment that the rumors were flying about them and said, yeah, we are not working with Logan, and eighty eight Films waited until they said something to come out and say something,
and then that was that half ass statement your common sections cracking me up right now. But the other sister is now in here, live tell Arizona. They're both they're both vouching for you to move. There is on a somebody said, good old nipple play, uh speaking, Yeah, there was another movie I recently watched where it's funny hold on the nipple play that's about bay Logan, not about bury old Oh oh geez. One of the accusations is
specifically about bay Logan tweaking a girl's nipple. Oh geez. But it worked for the movie too, so carry on. There was another movie I watched and then I just watched Living Then at Manchester Morgan. I'm like, I'm getting a ton of like, oh, it's Castle Freak and so those were all watches, and I'm like, I've been watching a ton of movies where chicks get their titties bitten off, and it's just it's just that happening. It's not like I even know what's gonna happen. It just happens. Please
please tell me that's the original Castle Freak and not the new one. Oh yeah, no, I didn't watch the original, but the original, I'm sorry I didn't watch the remake. The original from ninety five was so much fun. I did not anticipate liking it that much. I need to buy the Blue ray. It is a wonderful, wonderful movie. But speaking of nipples, let's talk about this. Huh. Blue Underground is putting out Marquis de Sade's Philosophy in the Boudoir aka Eugeny on four K. This is their
next four K title. Here's the title without the slip and a pretty cool looking window slip on this one. This is a Jess Franco of four K getting the upgrade. What are you thinking about the Blue Underground four K, Do you have any of them? Is that how it's gonna come with the window like that? Yep? This is the slip cover and then when you pull it off, this is the inside art. Oh okay, that's awesome. Is that you said? That's not directed by Jess frank or it is?
This is their second Jess Franco four K. Now does he do a lot of did he don Holocaust? He did? Didn't he? I believe so in The Erotic Knights of the Living Dead because I just bought those from Code Red. But his stuff has X rated scenes, right, yeah? Yeah, See, I don't get too much into the X rayed stuff. Like I accidentally bought a porno from Vinegar Syndrome. Once I put it on and I was like, what am I watching? Erotic Knights? Is Joe to Moatto not Jess Franco? Oh Joe Tomato? My bad? Yes,
they're both Holocaust They're ye, I got it mixed up. He does a lot of X rated scenes too, well, so does Jess Franco. To be honest, yeah, Jess Franco just just likes it. Yep, yeah, yeah, I I bought Cannibal. I'm sorry. Porno Holocaust and Erotic Knights of Living Dead because they were code red and then numbered spines. And I'll check him out, though I actually was interested. I got a couple of friends that want to watch him. But this one I've never heard of.
But this is another one that was in their Blu Ray cat They've yet to release anything that's new Blue Underground. Are they okay, that's the Blu Ray release of Eugenie. Okay? Are they going to do Oh my goodness, are are they gonna do anything new anytime soon? Because this is what they're sixteenth or fifteenth four K and it's all from their Blu Ray catalog. Ah. I would not count on it, to be honest. I don't
know. Let me put this back. I'm not sure if they are even trying to h There was a stream about a month ago now where William Lustig Bill Lustig, who did Maniac Cop and the sequels and all that, he went on serially Midnight's Chain. I watched. I watched that one, yep, and he talked all about the price and everything like that, and supposedly by the end of it he was talking about how vinegar syndrome and severn will likely not be around in five years, he said. In five years from
now, the only company he believes that will be around is Criterion. He doesn't believe himself or anybody else will be around, just Criterion, he said. And I was like, I don't buy into that at all. I think physical media is only growing if you ask me, I mean, I don't want to say growing, but it's doing very well. Boutique labels ever releasing more and more stuff every week. Yeah, I will not say growing
at this point because we're in a little bit of a regression. I won't quite say recession yet because it's not an economic recession by definition yet, but we are on the downsturn for sure. Twenty one were the biggest years for physical media in a very long time. We saw, you know, look
at you know, we're talking about Vinegar Syndrome. Their limited edition runs went from two thousand in that time to about six thousand, and then the bigger titles are getting ten and twelve thousand ye for the limited edition, and then they're still selling the standard edition after those sellout. This is they're doing very very well. That's why a lot of people are pissed off with Disney right
now. For not doing a physical media release of Barbarian. But that's bullshit, and I'm glad you brought it up because it was a flat out lie. A physical media YouTuber that I'm not going to name by name because he doesn't deserve it, went on and made a video and he had no reason to make the video. Nobody ever said that Disney wasn't doing a physical release of Barbarian. He just pulled that information out of his ass and everybody's ran
with it. The director confirmed last night it's coming out on Blu Ray and they just recorded a commentary for it. Oh really, because I was going to say, we haven't seen that happen in ages, because I know, like obviously I watched mid Level Media's video today and he was just going by what everybody else is saying. But that's the problem with a lot of these YouTubers. Nobody cites their sources, Nobody shows, you know, pictures of
where somebody's actually saying a statement or anything like that. It doesn't work like that. You can't just make up the fact that Disney he's not putting out a Blu ray of a movie and make that be true just because the film is still doing well in theaters. I don't see how we would just ignore the fact that it's still being sold and why why would we go through that? And yeah, notice I just pulled that up without saying the name myself.
It is. It is exactly hot take clickbait and it's ridiculous. And then all that he put I'm gonna spaghetti knows that I've already gone off on this. How are you going to make a big video about this? And your your thumbnail is your face going in the corner, like what is that? Man? Come on? So I don't want to get into politics here, but I will say I don't subscribe or support a lot of bigger channels, not because I have a problem with them. I don't have relationships with
these people. And you're somebody on Instagram who posts a lot of content, but we talk weekly. I'll say, you know, whenever I reach out to you, though you message me back. There's a lot of people that are too big for their birches, if that makes sense. And I could never get somebody on my channel like that, you know what, I mean, to join me or have me on their channel. So I really appreciate and respect people like you and bigger channels who aren't afraid to have smaller channels
on their channel, if that makes sense. I'm not a bigger channel, but I agree. I understand what you're saying. But you're respectful. You treat people with respect, and I appreciate that because there's two people on Instagram disc Father and Donna the discs, and they just don't respect anybody. I
will call them out by name here. I don't mind saying that. But because you do the same exact work, and I love supporting and following your channel because you actually message back, you comment back, you treat me with respect and everybody else. So I'm just just speaking your praises here. But I'm only speaking truth. I'm bold, and I'm honest and up front, so I'm not just putting shit in your ear, you know what I mean.
Yeah, not only do I understand what you're saying, but on top of that, one of the two that you just mentioned has ran his account, which by the way, it's his second account because he really screwed up a couple of years ago, and the account that he was going with before it was known for being somebody that would just put fan art and put coming soon on four K or something. He's pulling information out of his ass too. Other than the one that we just mentioned. Donn of the disks is
good for the most part. I know for a fact that the labels fuck with him. I had one label told me a couple months ago they gave him fake information and he posted it, and then they messaged him and said, what are you doing. We're not putting that out, and he had to go backpedal and delete it. So you, I promote your I try to promote your channel. I tell people about you a lot because what I like about you is you wait until the actual label announces it before you announce
it. I like seeing it first from the label. You know, it's it's a surprise. You know, we want to see that, And so when it gets spoiled too three days early, it kind of bothers me. But your I just I really appreciate your channel, and I try to tell people about it because I'm like, this guy does the same exact stuff, and he's really good, and he'll respond to you if you've got questions.
I pretty much respond to everything. That is pretty damn true. Planetmando says hocus Pocus will probably get a physical if not available widely to be through Disney Movie Club, it'll be on disc. I guarantee you it'll get a wide Blu Ray release that I'd almost be okay being quoted on that. It's hocus Pocus and that's one of their biggest titles. They would be losing out on literally a million dollars of profit if they didn't release set on Blu Ray.
And how about The Prey because that's Fox right it is? Yeah, I was released on Hulu And as of this point, I don't understand if they were putting it out why they wouldn't have announced it yet. So it seems like that's not yet. But I mean, there's all kinds of stuff that
could be going into it. Maybe they're waiting to clear music rights for the physical format at maybe they're, you know, trying to get a box set together with all of them, and they're they're waiting on restorations or something like that. Who knows. There's there's lots of ways they could be going about it nowadays. But I feel like I feel like Disney's about to be in a uh, let's check ourselves moment, and with the way that physical media
is and how much money is waiting for them on the table. I mean, they're the ones that created the vault system to begin with. They created limited editions. Basically, I would not be surprised if all of a sudden they they discovered a way to play the boutique game and started releasing all kinds of Fox and Amblin and old Disney titles, and we're putting them out on four K and hard boxes, and knows exactly what they're doing is they do
it? Are you a big fan of Disney then? I mean pretty much that entire side right there on the top is all Disney steel books and picks. Are I love them? I've got a bunch of the Disney Movie Club exclusives. I grew up on Disney. That's the biggest thing I don't love. I don't love the company. I don't love the politics. But it's it's kind of hard to be somebody born in the eighties and not love their output. Basically, I don't know. I know we're going off on tangents.
That's how I am. I apologize. This show is tangent central. Come on, that's all we ever do. But let's keep going because there's a whole bunch more coming, including something that's already over. So we're not gonna spend a time on a lot of time on this oc ended a Deaf
Crocodile sales last weekend. But one thing to highlight. The guys from Deaf Crocodile were on another one of the videos where justin the Liberty Interviews the label I'll say my interview with Deaf Crocodile is better, but hey, it's a good fifteen minute video. You can go take a look at that. One other thing to talk about, do you have any premium steel books releases? Have you gotten into premiums at all? Does that include like the Arrow limited
edition steel book ones? No, okay, we're talking like Nova Media or Blues Fans. Yeah, no, I don't have any of those. I'm afraid. So like numbered spines, and I know somebody asked if I have any imprint titles. I don't. And the reason I don't collect imprint or Indicator at the moment is because I am a sucker for numbered spines and once
I start, I can't stop. And imprint is you know, two hundred deep now or so and a latter out of print and expensive and so if I started down the rabbit hole of either Imprint Indicator or you said premium steal books, it would be something I can't stop. I yeah, imprint is hard. I would not get into them now if I was OCD like that. The hard part is I was in from the beginning and now I think I just got the last one I was missing, So I feel I feel
inner peace. So I'm right there with you. But a lot of people have been interested in premiums, so they were asking for me to do a show like this about premium releases, and I said, that's cool, but there's a lot less So what we're gonna do. We are gonna do it once a month, So if you wanted to stay up to date on those,
I'm gonna keep posting the announcements to Facebook and Twitter. But if you want to stay up to date on Instagram, I have a second account now called the Disconnected Premiums, and if you go follow that account, you'll get those posted all the time. And then every second Thursday of the month, I'm gonna do a little premium show after the regular show so that we can highlight all of those from the last month. Nice that sounds awesome. There's
too many out there. There is November twenty eighth from Second Run. This is one that Sarnus is super looking forward to. We are getting the War Trilogy. Three films by Andre I think it's pronounced Wadawaida. I never know how to say this guy's name. Nineteen fifty five, fifty seven and fifty eight three disc Blu ray box set. This is one that I am going to definitely be pre ordering. Do you know anything about these three films? I don't, man, and tell me the stuff you'd probably pull on that?
Going to know much about what is this label? This is Second Run. They are basically a partner label of Arrow. I have lists for every so I'm a very big nerd to anybody out there watching. I create lists for like every damn label so I can collect all the titles I want or the entire label, like I'm doing with so many. But I've never even
heard of this one. Man. When I started putting out my series that I did on boutiqu labels, I collect and so should you, people were like, so there's gonna be like thirty and then we'll be done, right I did? I think I did eight or nine videos and each one had at least ten labels, and one of them had over twenty. So there was at least one hundred labels total. And that's not even all of them. That's not the small ones, that's not the indies. There's so much
other crap in there. I did a boutique label tournament that was six weeks long and it was thirty two labels, and I remember people and it lasted six weeks and people were like, you forgot this one. You forgot this one. Was like, there's a lot more out there. I just couldn't. It would have been a thirty week right to exactly. Uh, so these are supposed to be incredible. Kb's here, it's up KB, kb's my guy man seeing him next Wednesday. Like I said, can't wait.
Uh, this is an incredible looking release. This is up for pre order on a Grindhouse video and I think Diabolic already, so if you're looking to get this one, you can get that in the States already locked down. What about South Park? I'm sure you know South Park? Yeah, I don't watch South Park, man, I didn't grow up with it. Simpsons, I'll be honest with you, Like, I didn't even watch SpongeBob when I was I don't watch South Park either, or Wow, I thought I
was gonna get bread there when I was a kid. Man Like, people are like, you missed out on being a child. Like look, my dad had me introduced me to like I Spit on your grave at like nine years old. So it was all horror movie and sexploitation when I was a kid in braunchy comedies too, Like I remember my mom would walk in and she's like, why are you showing him American Pine. He's like, he's old enough. So I loved it. I mean, I'm super close with
my dad, you know. So that's so I didn't watch a lot of the kids stuff. I was watching Scream and Halloween. Well, thankfully south Park isn't really kid stuff. I've not seen many South Park episodes throughout my life, maybe like five or eight total. But this is a good one. These were streaming releases and we're getting them on physical Look at that one of the companies doing it right. This is coming on December sixth, you
can pre order it now. But one that is a good movie. Genuinely, I'm saying that December thirteenth, on four K, we are Getting My Best Friend's Wedding from nineteen ninety seven Cameron Diaz, Julia Roberts. Let me guess this is one of your favorite romantic comedies. So I have thoughts on this. I do. I can't wait to buy this because I want to rewatch it because I've only seen it once and it was in theaters and that was what twenty years ago. My issue with Sony is they're really expensive.
I wanted that twenty eight Days Blu Ray with Sandra Bullock because I'm a big fan of addiction films, but it was like twenty seven ninety nine and I think it dropped at twenty four to ninety nine, and there's no slip covers, just to standard Blu Ray. I'm like, I don't want to pay twenty five bucks for this, so I passed on that and I still don't have it. It's a hard part and I will rebut that a little bit. Sony I think is actually worth paying a little more for because they are
the highest quality of all of the studios. The transfer you mean, all of their transfers look better than every other movie that's come out from that I have heard. I know it's did last summer four K, so I didn't I bought that. I didn't watch it yet because I watched every fourth of July. But I heard that transfer is just to drool over. Yeah, and all of the the the Columbia Classics, which is a Sony line, all of them look great. Yeah. I can't wait to see this one
in four K. Yeah, I'll definitely be rate watching it. And I think the Blu Rays out of print, so or it was or I don't know. Yeah, And what's crazy this the case on here? Four K and digital no Blu Ray in it. And I like when they put twenty Some people hate this. I actually like when they put twenty fifth anniversary banner on the top. I love that. I tend to like it too. Actually, Spaghetti says twenty seven to ninety nine for a movie called twenty eight
Days. That's pretty funny. Great Sony started four K and Blu Ray. Actually, when you think about it, I mean, they're the ones that popularized it through the PlayStation. They're the ones that handled all of the licensing for the Blu Ray format. It's all Sony. Sony's really good at what they do. My buddy Mike, he goes by magic cans. I always call them spirit fingers. I gotta get them my heart tingers. Uh okay this one, Oh my gosh January from Keno. We are getting Ghost Warrior
from nineteen eighty five. This has a new commentary with Mike Leader on it and then a new interview with the special makeup effects artist Robert Short. This is uh I mean, first of all, when I read the synopsis for this, this sounds like like eight other movies from around this time. In the time warp tradition of Iceman comes Ghost Warrior and inventive fantasy adventure from Colt Movie King Charles Band Suddenly awake after four hundred years of frozen sleep of valiant
Samurai warriors struggles to survive the harsh challenges of modern day la. This action pack tale is the thrilling saga of Yoshi, a master of Japan's sixteenth century fighting arts who was accidentally frozen in time and miraculously revived in the nineteen eighties. On the run from the institute that ended his sleep of centuries, Yoshi must pit his ancient skills and power against the forces of a violent and confusing world. What do you think of movies like this, I'd probably pick it
up. So Kena Laiber is becoming one of my favorite labels. They are just everywhere good. They are doing everything. And I've recently watched another interview that Cereal mid I did with the CEO. I don't know if you call it CEO super cool guy over at Keno Laiber, but he talked about how he was loose. They were losing sales on their pre orders and they they were like, what can we do to get our pre orders back up because
people are canceling? And then they started putting slipcovers on everything, and he said the numbers have gone way up. People loved you know, people want to call us slipcover cardboard collectors or whatever you call me, whatever you want, but people are paying one hundred dollars for those things. So yeah, slipcovers are incredible and Keno lare birds just they are every They're dominating right now. Uh Keno has been quietly dominating for a few years. I'm glad people
are paying attention now. I yeah, I will never talk down on slipcovers, but really, for me, it's just all about the uh the film. I mean, if they do a good job releasing the film and put supplements. I'm gonna support it period. Uh, slip covers, versible artwork, yes, yeah, yeah, when they when Keno shows both of the arts, yeah, I love reversible artwork, man, I love it, Mitchell. They've actually answered this already. Mitchell says, I wish there were
different art on the slips. I agree, but they have a trouble getting artwork commissioned for a lot of these because they have to get rights for what art they can associate with the film, and a lot of times they can only get one piece of art approved. So that's why the slip and the inner art are the same, and then there's no opposite side as well,
So it's it's kind of a rough situation. But if they're putting together a whole package and it's getting people to buy it, more people watch the movie. Hey, I'm alright with that. I don't want to jump the gun here. I do apologize. Did you post about that, Chuck Norris Triple Fee? Yeah, that that looks nice and they're gonna do three individual releases of it too. Yep. I can see like Tony from Basement Blues love that guy. I could see him buying all six. Basically both of them.
I might even do because I just I'm a completist. So Ragnar says, vinegar syndrome slips the only one's worth collecting. In my opinion, I would also put Severn in there now that they're doing the high quality slips as well. It's it's certainly worth it. I'm starting to jump onund at Severn. Man. Let me tell you, I I just I don't know Severn. I'm starting to dive into some of these. I like Scorpion releasing too.
Scorpion's got some really good titles. They haven't really wowed me in about two and a half three years, but some of the stuff that they used to put out are had no idea their brother their Code Red and Scorpion are brothers. I didn't know that the guy that owns Scorpion is Walt Olsen and the guy that runs Code Red is Bill Olsen, and I think Bill's kind
of an asshole. Well supposedly they're both kind of assholes, but Bill is usually more difficult to work with and Walt can hold it together a little better. And Bill's actually really poor health right now. I heard, and the guy over Dark Force has taken over code Red. That guy creeps me kind of, Yeah, I don't. I don't really follow Dark Forest a whole lot because of their Yeah. I watched video once at Facebook and I was like, as like, people don't creep me out. But the dude was
a little strange. But I love Scorpion man, They're awesome. Ragnar says seven slips are too inconsistent. I would say, are you paying attention to the newest ones, because ever since last year they have they they've gone way up in quality. It's not the same thing anymore. Yeah, they comment by Gary. Yep, that's comment by Gary. The slip Severn did for House on the Edge of the park, Yes, oh, we mean this one, yep. And that's like the blood and the switchblade, ah,
yep, yep. It's beautiful work done on this one. And then the only thing I wish is that a little more of it was embossed. There's a little bit on the front here with the blood, but I don't know. It's it is a really nice slip, that's for sure. I'm really starting to get into Severn. Man. I'm sorry, I'm all over the place. That's what happened. That's what the show's about my friend other other than Burial Ground. What have you been into a Severn? Oh? You
know what? Well? I tried Deep Blood and I did not like that. I didn't think it was very good. But I mean one of their surprises for me was overboard that they did. I heard people I haven't on wrapped mine. I went ham. I got like twenty eight titles during their last sale back and they're all boxed up now, so I haven't been watching a ton of them, but like they've been put Oh, out of the Blue. Out of the Blue was so good, And I think I've recommended
that to you or did I not. I don't know. I probably didn't. I recommended it to so many people. But Out of the Blue by Dennis Hopper is a very deep film. It's very heavy, and the ending blew me away. I didn't love the movie, but it's good. It's really good, Cracy, if I still have it here, I just got mine because I just got my Speaking of Severn, the ray Denis Steckler set, I'm wearing the shirt tonight. I just got Out of the Blue because
I got it with the Steckler set. Okay, it out it's dark being prepared for a very dark movie. Anybody in the chat they can handle dark and they like Dennis Hopper, You've got to watch Out of the Blue. I got some more Kickstarter in Indiegogo type campaigns to talk about this week. This is one of them. For anybody that saw this in the nineties. This might be a little bit of a nostalgia trip. To celebrate the twenty fifth anniversary of the Legend of Calamity Jane. They're putting out a DVD box
set and a comic and somebody art in. This is way way better than I remember. I believe I saw at least three or four episodes of this back in the day. Basically in September of ninety seven, Warner Brothers debuted The Legend of Calamity Jane, an Old West themed animated series that appeared on
the Kids' WB slate of children's programming. It was set in and around Deadwood, South Dakota in the eighteen seventies, and there was a big, fictionalized, like heavily stylized take on the life and times of Martha Jane Canary, a gun slinging, bullwhip toty cowgirl who was famously known around the world as Calamity Jant. They only showed three episodes here in the US though, and then they were showed everywhere else and they finished the series over there, so
now they're doing go ahead. No, I got a question. I'm sorry I didn't ask this. It was your last your last one. You were talking about your your shirt and grey Dennis Deckler. Yeah. People didn't realize in that box that there's a lot of porn, right, Uh. I mean, if you paid attention, you knew. Like the seven podcasts they certainly highlighted. They had Joe Rubin on there to talk about it. Yeah, there was a few people that were like, I bet there's gonna be
people not paying attention they don't see. Yeah, but I got a game, nice box set. Oh it's incredible. Yeah, yeah, I gotta get that. It's the seven box sets are better than any other box sets in the boutique world, better than Criterion, better than Vinegar Syndrome. When they do a great, great box set of a director and go all in, there's nothing that can beat it. For sure. Let's see Sardas says,
is the link for the animation on the discord? No, but I will send it to you right now after I copy in it from right here now. In time to celebrate the twenty fifth anniversary of this Calamity Jane rides again with a special Kickstarter campaign for a special box set including that's a lot of the word. Special special Kickstarter campaign for a special box set including a special edition comic book that continues Calamity story after the end of season one.
There are two versions of the DVD, a regular Edition, which only has the thirteen episodes on two discs, and then the Special Edition, which will have a sleeve featuring the artwork from the comic book, two discs for the animated series episodes, and a third with bonus features. This is the kind of thing that if you've ever seen any of it, it is pretty damn fun. I've never seen these, never even heard of them. I'm not sure. Are you into animation at all? No, not really outside of
Kung Fu Panda. It's like the only animation in that and Toy Story. I don't watch much animation. I says, are the seven box sets better than Indicator? Yes, primarily because Indicator it's at most like five or six titles. Indicators got that one coming from a I never remember his first name, but I think it's Michael Murphy. The old exploitation horror box set that comes out next month or the month after that, and it looks to be
like it could rival the seven sets. But yeah, they are definitely better. The only indicator I would have loved to get was Irreversible. It's a great release. It looks really good. Just to make you feel a little bit better if you really want that movie. One of the Vinegar Syndrome partner labels just acquired it, supposedly, and it will be coming out from a
Viner Syndrome partner label here soon. Oh that sounds awesome. And if I'm guessing who it is, because they've already put out some Gaspernoe titles, it's gonna be a ridiculously good release. Nice. I really like Gunpowder and Sky. Yeah, they're they're they're doing really great work too. Uh. Planet Mondo's asking how are people getting old slipcovers and their orders from the sale from Scream. I was shocked to see the burning and Drag Me to Hell in
people's piles. There's a couple of reasons. One, a lot of titles they overprinted slipcovers because they thought they were going to be extremely popular, and then they weren't as popular as they expected. Others they thought they were going to be very popular and still bought too many and so they still have slipcovers on a lot of titles. But then the other thing. Screen Factory is one of the most notorious ones for legitimately like moving warehouses and discovering boxes of
stuff that they have not seen in ages. I don't know what is going on with their box sets or with their boxes in their warehouses, but it appears that yeah, they'll they'll they'll move something around for a sale and go, oh, holy shit, this is you know, forty five boxes of something that we put out nine years ago. Hey, look these are all pristine and all slipcovers. That's wild because people are selling them for seventy bucks.
Now, what are your thoughts on all screen Factories issues like this year? Um, we've gone deep on screen Factory. I will say the QC thing pisses me off because people don't understand that it's not Screen Factory that is ruining these discs for people. Screen Factory isn't putting, you know, the off gassing on the child's play releases. They're not dimpling slipcovers, they're not tearing up the corner of a front cover. Screen Factory never touches the disc.
They're not choosing what disc goes in which copy. That's the manufacturer. Screen Factory will never open your disc before it gets to you. It's a problem that's happening at wherever these discs are made, and it's something that should be fixed. I agree, But people scapegoat screen Factory like this doesn't happen for other companies as well. It's ridiculous. The other thing, the four
K upgrades, that's everybody's biggest complaint this year. I was kind of defending them for a little while while they did some of the bigger titles, and uh, I'm getting a little old of hearing, getting a little tired of hearing like Piranha coming again in four K. We've gotten every release under the sun for pirana I get wanting to see it in the highest quality possible. But also, come on, we got to do a little little better.
I mean, you were just talking about Blue Underground, not putting out a new title. It's it's shout factory. You make way more money every single month than Blue Underground does in like six months, you can put out a new title. It's really not something that you should be shying away from. What are there two new titles they've done this? Uh Wolves Movie Company of Wolves and Alligator? Is that it? For screen? They've done a lot
more than that. That's Brandon This year you're saying Happy death Day and Happy Death Day to you and Evil Dead the remake, and yeah, there's about a lot of each others. There was a lot of complaints on the Evil Dead because of knowing your special features right, and now they've also started to respond to that, like Black Christmas is coming out with new features. Carry is coming out with new features. It's a good thing that people are speaking
up to the most part, but people are just disrespectful. I mean a lot of these labels. They don't need to deal with this shit. I feel like something that has helped people speaking out. Screen Factory seems to have gotten the message that people really like reversible artwork because they were like, we're doing it for Parana and Rollerball, I believe, or maybe not Rollerball, but Paranha for sure, and I think some other ones too. So yeah,
we love our reversible artwork. Man for the most part, yes, but I also understand why they were doing it for the four case because they were just using the original poster art. But it also makes sense too that when they put these out on Blu Ray first, it would be odd to put out the same art again, so focusing on the original theatrical art and putting that on the slip. I love that. I love the original art.
However, I get the appeal of the reversible art. So maybe take the old commissioned art, put it on the back of the theatrical art and called it. Yeah. I will say two things. That release of Child's Play two and three were incredible, and I as far as off gassing, I didn't have an issue with that, and it's really simple fix. But the Child's Play too, transfer, in my opinion, looked great. It's
incredible. I mean that's the hard part here too. It is difficult to complain when the vast majority of the four K releases from this year have been legendary like Toby Hooper's The Funhouse. It looks better than it's ever looked. It almost probably looks better than it ever did theatrically, how do you complain about them putting out a title that they released in twenty fourteen or maybe thirteen. Now, I got one thing to say on that whole thing, And
this happens with Aero and Screen factory, like The Craft. A lot of people complain about issues, whether quality drops or audio issue, this or that. Right, there was an issue with Aero video and that portrait of a
serial killer. I believe it's called Henry portrait. Tell So I feel like most people wouldn't even see these problems if if all it takes is one person to complain and then four thousand others are like, yeah, I saw it too, and I'm like, bullshit, I guarantee you most people wouldn't even notice it, because I guarantee you unless somebody told me, I probably wouldn't catch these things. Yep, that is true for a lot of it.
I do understand, like the audio sync issues being a big deal. And then there's some others that that have desperately needed a replacement disc, like the Friday of the Thirteenth ones missing specific scenes when it was labeled as uncut. That can't fly. Obviously, did you watch The Craft? Because I didn't watch that one, and I know they dropped to like a DVD quality for
like five seconds or a couple of minutes or something. Yeah, it's it's not a perfect four K transfer, but that four K transfer came from Sony, who we just said is the highest quality at their four K transfers. The rest of it looks incredible. Yeah, yeah, yeah, And they're not going to fix that, right, No, nope, not at all. It's not worth it though, is it really needed? Uh? Thunderbolt
and Lightfoot is coming on four K from Kena Larber. This is getting a new HDR Dolby vision Master from a four K scan of the OCN Clint Eastwood Jeff Bridges movie. I am not a huge Clint Eastwood person, are you? You're not a Clin Eastwood person. Nope. I can tell you I like about five of his movies and I'm good. I don't need anything else. Oh okay, I'm a big Clin Eastwood fan, like really out of that. As Craig Zler, Clint Eastwood's probably my second one of my favorite
directors, but as Craig Saller takes the cake at the moment. Yeah, I especially the ones that he directed. I don't love the ones that he directed at all. Okay, in fact, I'm probably the subjective. Of course, I'm not here to argue that or anything, of course, but this will probably this. Obviously, all their four k's come with the slip, right yep. Yeah, and this didn't come with a slip on the Blu ray. I don't believe it was just a standard Blu rays. So
this is pretty cool that they're doing that. I haven't seen this. I haven't seen a lot of his seventies or eighties work, but a lot of nineties and up i've seen. Yeah, I would not be surprised to see more Clint Eastwood coming on four K from them, because he sells well. Yeah, they said the good, the bad, the ugly was like their best seller, one of them. Yep. And now that slip cost one hundred and twenty dollars on e Bay. I just had it custom printed for
me. Okay, So the Blu ray of this that I got right in front of me does not have the uncut version. You're telling me. That's what they're saying. Who is this? This is just Germany or UK or something? This is the UK release A fall from Uh? Why did I say twenty twenty three? I must a fat finger that has a release state of November twenty eighth, and it's showing a theatrical and uncut version. And famously this year they advertised the uncut thing because they took out all the cuss
words and that's that's all that's gonna be added. Really yeah, oh no, I'm good because if I was like, what is there gonna be blood? There's not a whole lot of blood in this movie. There's not violence. I saw it, did you see it? I've not seen it. I really really am behind on a lot of the current stuff. I've seen a lot of the big ones like Smile and Barbarian, I've not seen Fall. Let's see video man and says, we try to test all the four
K films on the best cinema Norway. If we have the thirty five millimeter, they have a stock of eight thousand films on thirty five millimeters. God damn. Now I get a question because somebody has custom printed it's just the same exact artwork as The Good, the Bad, the Ugly from Keno Laiber and the person sent me, uh, what was it? Hocus Focus? How do you feel about people that do the like who was it doing? The Netflix Blu Rays for a while, and they got a bunch of people
that do them. I'm not a big fan of bootleg I've never bought a custom Blu ray like that. I'm I'm so OCD though, so I like want everything that's I guess studios their labels put out. I don't know. It's probably my OCD in logging it into Blu ray dot com. Uh, I get that. And I've got a bunch of bootlegs here, sadly from back in the day. But I yeah, I don't love them that much. I'm a big fan of watching people get credited for the work that they
do. And I'm tired of people going around that just because they want to see something on a Blu Ray disc and it's not even a good Blu ray disc. It's not pressed it, it's not done the right way. There's no love. I was gonna ask a Stinky tun or stinky fish, Yeah, what they got shut down or what what happened? Stinky Tuna got caught and essentially they changed their name and moved their servers to another site and they're
up in running. And I think it's invite only now because it's completely illegal to do right. I mean, well, it depends because you can do it in another country if it's not against the law. Oh okay, But because that hocus pocus I have? What do those come on? Are they even ten? Adp Uh? Probably because they downloaded the file from Disney Plus. Okay, that's all it is. Yeah, uh okay, So we talked about fall. Next one another Kickstarter campaign. This one is for rod
Sterling's Night Gallery an After Hours Tour second Edition. There's some great rewards on this one. It looks like a really cool package if you're into Night Gallery and rod Sterling in general. This is one I'm considering taking a look at. Do you have? Do you ever watch Night Gallery at all? Is this the final season? Uh? No, this is a completely different thing. It's not any of the seasons. They're doing like a book and some other stuff with it. But one of the campaign rewards is you can get
the seasons from Keno Lobert, the actual huh because what is this? I see stuff in the background, but that's not it's what is They are doing a book on the fiftieth anniversary retrospective and then an after Hours tour. I did not know you could zoom man I work some magic, I get it done. Oh my goodness, Oh gosh, I guess I had another one too. Oh that's because this one is involving cat Ellinger. There's an Indigogo
campaign available for a story called Derelict. It always made me think of Zulander when I posted this. A harrowing and violent revenge thriller which focuses both on a daughter's revenge and the circumstances that have led to the murder of her father. Soaked in the tradition of the British film noir, it proposes a series of unusual characters dropped in situations that are beyond them and will have repercussions beyond their imaginations. Cat Ellinger is one of the co writers on this one,
and it seems to be doing pretty well. It's from the same director who did I believe it's pronounced Wyvern Hill in the UK last year or Wivern Hill. Yeah, I definitely suggest somebody take a look at this if you're into that sort of thing. And Kat's a great writer. That sounds like, yeah, the story sounds pretty cool. Video man and says his night gallery something like amazing story. He's never seen it. It is h It's like a procedural version of Twilight Zone kind of. It's Rod Serling. It's got
a very similar, very similar feeling to twilight Zone. Next up, Drift in Tokyo is coming from Third Window Films. This is from two thousand and seven. They had teased this earlier this year, So I will go over the features. We get a making of that's basically the length of a film, seventy minutes, interview with the director, interview with the actor, and then stage greetings with cast and director. I love the title of that.
What is stage greetings is just people on a stage saying hello. I've never even heard of Third Window Films until you put it out a few days ago. What Yeah, I've got an interview with the guy that runs it up on the channel. Third Window is great. They only do Japanese films. Adam from Third Window lives in Japan and Third Windows ran out of the UK. Luckily they don't number their spines. They do, actually, but they are catalog numbers. They're not like spine numbers, they're catalog numbers. Oh
okay, gotcha. Yeah, they do incredible work. They put out some amazing titles. Then we got some Criterion announcements. We were talking about spine numbers. What are you feeling about Criterion lately? I can't, Like I have a lot of Criterion, but this was before I was collecting spine numbers. I'll I'll keep collecting Criterion. Their next sail in November, I'll probably get a bunch. This is their recent flash sial. I can't Yeah, I can't do it twelve hundreds, so but I'll honestly, like, if
there's two hundred titles and they're affordable, I'll start collecting them. I mean, I started with Shout Select and I've almost got all those they're up to like, so it just depends. But like no Criterion, of course, not twelve hundred titles, but they got some really good releases. But I don't watch a lot of their stuff. But I do like like Menace to Society, Love in Basketball, those uncut Gems, those there are a couple I want to grab during the next sale. Those are all literally some of
their best releases from the last year and a half or so. I've been really hot on Criterion this year. I think that they've done really well selecting titles. This one in particular, this is one of my favorite movies of all time. This is Arsenic and Old Lace. They just put this out earlier in October, and they they are kind of killing it this year.
January it seemed a little cold for me, and then I read into what some of these were and then I realized, no, they're still doing pretty decent and December's really really heavy for them, so I understand taking it a little bit light. But there are some still huge titles coming in January from them. This is January thirty. First, we get Bergman Island from twenty twenty one. This is the uh Mia Hanson love film. And this is
one that I've heard great things about. It's got tim Roth in it, and I doore tim Roth, which might be enough for me to check it out eventually. But the rest of these look a lot more enticing than that one for me. This is not a burial, it's a resurrection. This one is coming on the twenty fourth of January. And listen to this because this sounds kind of incredible with the poet's I for place light and the spiritual
dimensions of everyday existence. Lemong Jeremiah Jeremiah Moesis crafts a meat meditation. I can't read on the concept of homeland and a transcendent elegy for what is lost in the name of progress. Grieving and alone following the deaths of her husband and children, elderly men toa prepares for her own death and to be buried
alongside her ancestors. When plans for a new dam near her village in the landlocked kingdom of Lesotho threatened to literally wash away all she holds, deer Mantoa takes a last stand, mobilizing her neighbors to fight for their land and their way of life. The experience of watching mosesses visionary much lauded. This is not a burial, it's a resurrection. Is as timeless and elemental as the land itself. I mean that just sounds powerful to me. I like that
artwork. Yeah, really good cover art on this one. We got a commentary on it, which Criterion has been a little light on that lately, so that's a good thing. We'd also got some short films from twenty fourteen and sixteen, and then there is along with his twenty nineteen essay film Mother, I Am Suffocating. This is my last film about you. I mean, just crazy long titles, very intrigued by this one for sure. Let's see emmon, have you seen the shirts that right here and you just put
out? Funny enough, I've got him pulled up. I'm gonna be talking about them after we go through the announcements because I don't I know, it's not quite an announcement, but I wanted to highlight him because they're they're pretty damn cool. That's the first. Uh no, they it's the first time doing films like this. They put out some shirts before. Okay, did Oscilloscope release this Bergmann film? Also? I don't think so. I'm laughs that the cover makes me sleepy. Yeah, too many sheep? What is
it called Bergman Island? I will take a look at that as we look at this next one. This is probably the biggest one out there. Are you a large von Trier person at all? Do you know Lars on Trier? I've heard of him. I don't know name a few I might have seen in won. Uh. He has put out a lot of the more uh let's say, controversial titles. Uh. He did Shock and Awe.
There's a four film set. It's got Breaking the Waves, Anti Christ, Melancholia and Nymphomaniac that's probably the biggest one anti Christ that was just released by like Scorpion. No, no, no, that's you're thinking of Keino. Antichrist is the one with Willem Dafoe came out in like what ninety seven or something like that. No, it's later than that. It's like two thousand and nine. I'm not let me look it up before I sound like an
idiot. Anti Christ was, Yeah, two thousand and nine. Willem Dafoe's it's the one where supposedly he had to get a stand in penis because his penis was too big. Oh my goodness, Oh that's right. He did the house the Jack built too well. Somebody just told me about we were talking about like sexploitation in zombie movies and I said, I said, I'm waiting for a zombie movie where the a zombie rape somebody. And he's like,
have you seen necro Files yet? And I was like no. And he's like, there's like a fourteen inch zombie cock that like fun fucks, And I'm like what. He's like, you gotta watch that one. I mean you kind of got that. It's not quite a zombie. But the sadness this year did you watch the Sadness. I haven't because I didn't. Is this steal book in the media book still in print through like Diabolic or
any of them. I don't know if they have them, but this releases everywhere now like you can get it from Raven Banner, streaming on Shutter, came out in Germany, deal booker in a media book, are those one of the options as far as I know, they're still in print? Okay? Cool, because I really want to have visual vengeance. Somebody said, John, I really want to get that Sadness. I want to see that.
I've heard it starts fast and it doesn't let up. I need to see that there is a I mean, we talked about keeping it PG tonight. I'm gonna flat out to say that. And it's again, it's not quite a zombie film. It's a virus film basically, and a zombie or whatever skull fox a woman. Yep. I heard that. I was just in a stream recently and they were talking about Sadness and a section and assault see and they said it's a most comical though. Oh yeah, it's very
comical. Yeah. So Gary got the Sadness Media Book from eBay, so you might have to resort to eBay. Yeah, I'll take this deal book. I don't mind that getting the media book now, media books to do those all come from Turbine. No, there are there are more media book companies than I can name right now, dude, I can't believe all the titles out there, like The Dentist has a media book, Joyride one, two and three have a media book. I believe. Yep. I am
just blown away by media books. Unfortunately I can't read German. Uh, but Google Lens can. And if you open up the Google Lens app on your phone, you can go through and read the entire thing. Oh my goodness, that's awesome to know. That is pretty sweet. Do you do that? I have multiple times? Actually, yeah, awesome, that is great to know. That is a fun fact. Lars Montreer, this is
a big deal. These are his first three films, and and these are ones that a lot of people did not expect to get Blu Ray upgrades anytime soon. I know that we've gotten I believe one or maybe two of these on DVD from them, or you know, I think it was two. And one of these is a brand new to the collection title. But yeah, this is kind of a big deal. Arjevon Truer is a pretty big director, So I'm glad these are coming out. These are ones I'm definitely
gonna have to grab it somewhere. Is this in like a box Yes, it will be a box set because it is a triple feature. This next one I've heard of. I haven't seen it, but I've heard of it. Imitation of Life. This is a really interesting title. Actually, this is from nineteen thirty four pre Code film. Melodrama master John M. Stall brings his exquisite restraint and almost spiritually pure visual style to this devastating, enduringly
relevant story of mothers and daughters. Imitation of Life explores the friendship between two struggling single mothers, one a working class white woman who ascends to the top of the business world, the other, her black housekeeper who's life life is shattered by the rejection of a rebellious white passing daughter. It is this latter relationship, attuned to America's bitter racial realities and heartbreakingly enacted by trailblazing black performers
Beaver's and Washington, that lends the film it's transcendent emotional power. The first adaptation of Fanny Hurst's best selling novel boldly confronts the complexities and contradictions of racial identity, economic exploitation, and the limits of the American dream. I mean, I'm dying to see this that. Yeah, I have to check it out. I've heard of that one. But there's a comment. Your chat is hilarious, by the way. You got some great people in here.
I try to jump in when I can. I work Thursday night sometimes. But somebody said Japan has a serious of zombies exploitation films, a rape of the death. This is true, but what is rape death? A lot of Japanese films are made just to go there. Have you not seen a Japanese films? Not? I probably no? Not really? Okay, So Japanese films are made to push the boundary sometimes, and they they made some zombies exploitation films that are wild from beginning to end that you will just question
what the hell am I watching Heap of the Dead. I'm sold well, and it is a play on words because a lot of people there is the Lust of the Dead series. There is uh you know that isn't Lust of the Dead trilogy. There you go, Yeah, we got those. We've got the the Gore Goore Girls, We've got Tokyo Gore Police. There is the Sushi Dad. There are so many out there it is ridiculous and so hard to keep track of. That's great. I love that, like your
chat knows this stuff. They're they're on it. This is a very educational chat for sure. Yes, they are always on it. So this one we got a four K digital restoration, new interview with Miriam J. Petty, author of Stealing the Show African American Performers and Audiences in the thirties. Crazy that it's that specific about this new interview with Imogen Sarah Smith, contributor to the Call of the Heart. And then a trailer and that's it. There's an essay on there by Petty as well. Not a whole lot,
but it looks like a decent release, thankfully. This though, is the big deal for me. This month, January third, we are getting The Adventures Wow, can't speak The Adventures a Baron Munchausen. This is a Terry Gilliam release on four K and Blu Ray. This is a brand new title to the Criterion collection. This is not just a four K upgrade. This is a four K blu Ray reveal to the collection in total, Gilliam does great work. Are you like a Monty Python fan at all? No,
I'm I've seen. Well. I hope you enjoyed your time on the channel. Have a good day about I'm just kidding. Was it Meaning of Life? Yes? I think I've seen that one. Or no, it wasn't Meaning of Life. That's the one that just got a four K. Life of Brian. Life of Brian is the one. Or okay, so it was Meaning of Life that I watched. Then, yeah, because I didn't watch Meaning of Life? Did just get a four K? I didn't watch that one? Then I watched Life of Brian. Yeah, that's the one
I seen. Life of Brian is talking about the thirteenth Apostle of Christ. Yes, that's the one I watched. That's the only Monty Python I watched.
So, uh, Terry Gilliam is related to Monty Python. And this is this is one that I am eagerly, eagerly awaiting this release so I can watch it again in glorious four k. Uh that is a random comment to get uh flickering wave Gillium on four K. How long do we think we'll have to wait for Brazil. I wouldn't be surprised if we got that or time Bandit's within like the next six months from either them or Arrow, because Arrow had the UK rights for Brazil and time Bandits or just one.
I know they did at least Brazil. Are you loving? Are you loving what Arrow's put out the last few months or are you feeling right there a little lackluster? I think Arrow has been high quality still, However, they're not putting out as many banger titles for me. They did announce one of my favorite releases of the year and I can't wait to get it in hand, and that's the nineties Robin Hood with Kevin Costner. That was Is that
a zombie exclusive? They have the Zobie exclusive steel book for that one, but they are putting out a regular four K and blu ray in the UK for that one. Okay, yeah, I gotta go through Arrow's website to get that. But then they did the Wolf of Wall Street that comes with Little BAGGIEO Cocaine. Yep, yeah, I don't know how that's gonna get imported. Master Chaos is here? What's going on? Dead Sea Life? I just traded my Brazil laser disc into the archive. Holy cow, that
is awesome. Uh, John wants that Italian Gothic set and uh, let's just say I'll be able to make you jealous next week, John, because I know we were just talking about that. Uh, I want did see life says? I want to Brian Adams commentary track on that Robin Hood release. Uh if Kevin Costner is like probably my favorite actor. So I've never seen a damn fine director too. I mean, if you like Eastwood,
Costa is a damn fine director. Yeah, No, I love, I love, I love Kevin Costner, but yeah, I've never seen Prince of Thieves, so it's gonna be a good one for me. It's a it's not a great movie, but it is a very fun movie and there's so many great quotable lines from that movie. It is definitely worth it. What's your favorite Costner? Mine's got to be Boulder, I think, or I got one actually that everybody in the chat's gonna written me for I love for
love of the game, that's not gonna get That's a great movie. I if I have to say other than the the Robin Hood film, because that's my favorite by far. I'm gonna go out on a deep end. Uh. Do you know a lot about Costner? A good amount? But I might not know what you're talking about. But I got a list here of other than other than Robin hood My my big one is Field of Dreams. But other than those two, I'm gonna say one that probably not a lot
of people have either seen or given the respect that it deserves. What is something from Kevin Costner's oubra that you think maybe sticks out like a sore thumb? Do you think? Or anything that's yeah, like his his his filmography, it's the same word. Oh, okay words, Yeah, yep. I don't know if somebody said tin Cup. It is definitely not tin Cup it is. I'm trying to find the year it came out before I said it, because it was after his uh, after a lot of his was
two thousand and seven. Wow, Okay, I was gonna say, it's not Bodyguard, my Bodyguard. No, I'm a I'm a big fan of mister Brooks. Have you seen mister Brooks I did with Dane Cook. Yeah,
I don't like Dane Cook. Though I don't like Dane Cook much either, but uh, that movie man, so Kevin cost plays a serial killer and Dane Cook catches him and he basically says, you gotta train me, and so Dane Cook follows him around trying to be a serial killer, and Kevin Coster is spending the entire movie trying to teach him some of the things that he's doing wrong. And then the movie ends really weird. I've seen that one. Now The Postman I've never seen, and I know he directed
that, but I bought it during the target sale. Is that a good one? Uh? No, there are good stuff in The Postman, but it is not a great movie overall. Okay. Uh. I love how everybody was guessing mister Brooks when I said that that's fantastic. Uh yeah, The Postman. The Postman is basically the movie that he was given carte blanche to be able to do whatever he wanted and just went for the budget and put everything that he possibly could in there. I love these people in the
chat though, seriously, I need to subscribe to by Channels. I can hang out with you guys. Tim cup Love. I'm enjoying that. I didn't mind Tim Cupp So it's not bad. It's it's uh it's lower half. Costner for me. Yeah, did you like Yeah, of course it's a classic. Yeah, that's definitely always introduction to Tim Robbins. Wow, the Fraternity Vacation was one of those two. Tim Robbins is genuinely one of my like. I don't think there's anything I've ever seen him in that I've
actively disliked his role, his performance, or anything. He's just not enough. I adore Shank Redemption. Yeah, I like that a lot. Uh Oh, there you go. John's trying to sell you. There's always the Disconnected discord. If you want discords like this all the time, join the Patreon. We talk like this all damn day, every single day. Literally, we have one of the most active discords I've ever seen. That's awesome. I got to look into that. Halloween Ends, the most divisive movie
ever created. Is getting a four K steel book from Best Buy on December twenty seventh. And this is the art a little uninspired, but it kind of matches the quality of the film feel. I like the orange. I want to know what your chat thinks of this movie, yay or nay, thumbs up, thumbs down, because we ripped it in the live stream. I actually defended it in the live stream. I am up on it. I don't think it's a terrible movie. I think that it's lackluster for a
Halloween movie. If it wasn't related to Halloween, I think it'd be accepted as a montere My biggest problem is that it's Halloween is technically Michael Myers, and we don't get a lot of Michael and I think this film suit is better for a standalone film to be frank though, who defined Halloween as Michael Myers? You could say Halloween is Lori Strode. Yeah, some would, I mean no spoilers, but yeah, a lot of I mean what happens at the end Dead Sea like Sanna Jamie Lee Curtis, uh No. I
would make myself a massive fan of Jamie Lee Curtis. I think that she is great and literally everything she touches. What did you think of Did you listen to Danielle Harris and Scout Taylor Compton's comments in their podcasts? Yes, and I think it's stupid. I think it's one of the dumbest things I've heard all year. I just wanted to get your thoughts on that, because ye, it is so so stupid. It's like two pretty basic white girls in a crowd of people, and they're supposed to guess who you are.
I mean, it's not like your A list stars necessarily just because you're in another Halloween film. I mean it's I don't know, yeah, it's it's hard. I do wish she would speak highly about horror movies though. Yeah, I agree with that, especially for how many she's done. Yeah, somebody's John Peters is my guy in this chat tonight, Scott Scott Taylor Comptonday is hot as fuck. She is. I mean, they both are. Danielle's great. I've got a picture with Danielle absolutely, and I like Danielle
Harris as an actress. She's fun. Dead Sea Life says I've never watched a single Halloween film newer than h two. O. When I saw that in the theaters, I'm gonna say right now, you absolutely need to watch Rob Zombies Halloween and Halloween two because they are both great movies, genuinely, you like really, I don't just like them. I think that they're both incredible. Yeah, okay, because I like the is It two thousand and
seven? Yeah, yeah, so I'm a big fan of that one, and I get ripped for it. I didn't like two though, the light Horse or the unicorner whatever I wasn't I did. I didn't understand any of that. Uh, that's that's kind of the point. It's a Rob Zombie thing. He made the movie more his own rather than being the first one. So I actually liked the second one better. He didn't want to do
a second one. The studio begged him, right and then as he basically said, I'm gonna do my own thing though, like you're not gonna tell he did. And that's why I respect it more because number one was technically not what he It was more of the studio telling him what to do, right. It was it was a Rob Zombie script combined with his style that was basically a remake of the original. I mean, it's it's not hard to see everything that's in there and and how it came together. It's just
bad dialogue. That's the worst part of a lot of the Rob Zombie films. Bad dialogue. Yeah, well, I mean, one would say, I don't want to compare him to Quentin Tarantino, but a lot of dialogue. He's dialogue heavy. YEP, I would agree there. You don't like his dialogue though, huh uh, I don't like a lot of Tarantino's dialogue that is unnecessarily long. Well, I meant, and Zombie, you don't. I don't like a lot of Zombies dialogue. No, okay, gotcha,
y fucking fruity. I like that entire trilogy. And I think that Rob Zombie genuinely has uh three masterpieces that are like near the the top three hundred films of all time for me for sure? What three would those be? Because I've never seen Lords of Salem or Monsters yet, House of a Thousand Corpses Devil's Rejects. And his best film is Lord's a Salem by like a long shot. It is his best film like Lords of Salem, in
my opinion, should have been up for like awards that year. It is that good of an oh okay, because it's on a watch list somebody for me to watch. So it is the best performance ever at a Sherry Moon Zombie by a long shot. It is the best script he's ever had. It is the best dialogue he's ever had. It is her ass in that one, too, uh, you know, to show his best assets, doesn't he he does? I'm trying to I feel like. I mean, it's probably a given that she did. I can't remember the scene specifically,
but yeah, that movie is incredible. Okay, I gotta watch that one. Did you like Monsters? I've not seen it yet because it was not on my October watch list and it came out after October first, So I will check it out next month. I've already got it. It's one that I will be showing my patrons in my next video. But yeah, it's it's here and ready to go for November. I'm actually I've never seen thirty one either, so I think I might do a double feature with that in
thirty one. Thirty one gets a lot of hate, it does, but I had fun with it. I'm not saying it's a perfect film, but I actually really like the the idea of the film. I think that whole idea is just a lot of fun. I was a fan of that one, all right. I've never heard this in my life. I would love to hear a chat poll on this. Silent mandible says. My roommate said, I sound like Seth Rogan Let's type. Yes, if I sound like Seth Rogan, and know if I don't, what the hell I've money to
life. I got a buddy, convicted cinephile. Everybody says he sounds like Seth Rogan too. That's wild, Richard Brake rules in thirty one. No, no, you don't. I gotta know. That's what I wanted. Silent Mannabal, Your roommate's wrong. You don't like No, No, you don't like Seth Rogan. I like Seth Rogan. I just I don't think I sound like the stone fat guy. No, Seth Rogan is everywhere with the deep voice. Suddenly Seth Rogan. I Seth Brogan didn't. That is
a great comment. Oh man, is everyone of the deep voice? Suddenly Seth Rogan? All right? Uh? I was gonna comment on one thing and make somebody pissed off. Where to go? Oh? There it is, Chester says George Lucas has a lot of bad dialogue, but still classic movies. They're classics. But that doesn't mean I like him. I don't like most of George Lucas's movies. Uh. Have either of you seen VHS ninety nine yet? No? I think that dropped on shutter today. Are
you into the VHS films? I've seen? Like VHS? And then I don't that franchise gets me mixed up because some of them are on by like RLJE, and some of them are own by And is it the same franchise or is it different? It's not a continuing story because they are anthology film anology, right. I like the first one. It's actually I got a buddy. It's like his favorite film of all time VHS. So he's into
that stuff. I think you said, Chester says, I said, like James Earl Jones, Well he'll live dreams, right, yeah, we if we build it, somebody will come. That was a weird statement. Shit, let's carry on. Uh. Friday the thirteenth, the final chapter is getting a blue ray steel book, a blue Ray steel book. Like James Earl Jones. I'm glad I don't wear glasses anymore and I just wear contexts. I love the steel book, man. I love what Paramount's doing with
these. I love the steel books. I love that they're doing the original art. But why are we not getting four K on this? They've released four K for the first film. This hardy as a four K scan. They're all, how do we not get a four K of this? Is that all the steal books are blu ray so far is that one? Yeah? Probably, but switch it off? What the fuck? Yeah, because they're probably gonna do part two eventually in four K, right, because they're
all four K scans already. I would imagine they will. Yeah, we've got four K scans on the first four so they're probably holding back. And this is what Paramount's been doing. They probably are going to release it in a couple of years or a year from now. Maybe they'll release two, three, and four on four K next year. And they know if they released this in four K, nobody will buy their four K disc of it. Dead Sea Life. It's one steal book with one disk inside. That's
it. Yes. Uh, let's see, I says, what don't you like about Lucas not down for some hot duck action? Uh? Well, let me see. And they didn't skip Friday the Thirteenth part? Didn't they skip Friday the thirteenth? Part three? In this line? No, No, that was released. I believe that was released like in May of this year. Yeah, I got all three of the show. I got the third one here. Uh, let's see. I'm gonna pull up George Lucas's
right here filmography. There you go. Yeah, that's there's part three right there. Yeah, and then that's the back be right back. I love it all right. So I am historically not a huge Star Wars person. First of all. Okay, I don't admit this, but I've never seen any of these Star Wars because I'm not in I'm not interested. No offense to anybody else. This just different strokes, different folks. I'm just not in the Star Wars. It's not my style, it's not my cup of
tea. I completely get that. I won't say that you're wrong. I also don't watch Harry Potter Lord of the Rings either, and it's just not just not my thing. I completely get it. I've watched all the Harry Potter movies multiple times because I like them. I've seen the original trilogy of Lord of the Rings. I've seen it once. I'm not a fantasy person, so a lot of those fantasy titles I just don't get into it all. Yeah. Yeah, that's exactly my issue. That's probably why I didn't
care for Doctor Strange. I can see that. Let's see. So we were talking about George Lucas. I forgot how little he'd actually directed. We got Star Wars star Wars, Star Wars, American Graffiti THHX eleven thirty eight, and then some shorts and that's pretty much it. There's a comment I wanted to touch. I'm sorry I do that because I are good the chat. I'm sorry. I hate because I'm not like you know, I hate
interrupting somebody this one. No, it's a Paramount can fuck off. Until they released Summer Rental from John with John Candy, Yeah, I've seen it. Everybody clamors for that, and I know that they're hoping. Some people hope Keno did. It's going to do it because they did the deal with Paramount. Yeah, but most of their first off it looks very like modern swinging for a lot of the Paramount titles that they're putting out, they're doing a lot of modern stuff. And then al Pacino in four K from the
eighties or seventies or whatever. So yeah, Wunder was part of that deal. Izume right, it was, Yeah, Yeah, that was their first Paramount title. They announced, I want Summer Rental on Blu Ray. But somebody Cabin Fever the original has been on Blu Ray and the Cube Cube not the Cube Cube. I don't believe it, right, here for Cabin. Hey, I think I got that too. Yeah, let me see if Cube has ever been on one. No, Cube has not been on a legal Blu ray in the US. It got a Blu Ray in Canada.
Uh, it got a Blue Ray in the UK. These are all back in twenty twelve, though Australian Blue Ray in twenty seventeen. Tim's a big summer rental fan. All right, that's enough shooting. On Friday the thirteenth, I put out the first video in an interview series I did with j Blake fishera who is doing Scored to Death. He is interviewing horror composers and he's making a documentary about it now that he's written two books on it, and it sounds pretty great. And the second part of this will be going
live on Monday. Can't wait to share that with everybody. There is one other thing. Somebody said, I wanted your opinion on this planet, Mando. That's a hated movie I would love to see on Blu Ray, how about you? Yeah? Well, first of all, I think every single movie should be on Blu ray. I or there is a Blu ray for
that. That's a long out of print. Isn't it. I believe that has a blu ray or no, no, hold on, I get mixed up with some other releases because there are blu rays and movies that are long out of print, and you can ever remember Darkness Falls had a blueway from twenty eleven. It is the most out of print title. Good luck trying to get it and snag it. Yep, that's a very expensive one on eBay. Yeah, that does not sound very fun for me. It's a
good movie. I don't think it should be hated. No. I have fun with Darkness Falls, man, you know I did for PG thirteen. I thought it was decent. Cinni Museum. They kind of let something slip and they tried to walk this back a little bit. They actually private or no. They emailed me after I posted this and said wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait. We didn't mean that basically, so they posted this and this is an exact quote from them. Important announcement. Warner Brothers will
announce the release of an Exorcist four K steelbook for the fiftieth anniversary. As you know, we are working on two projects dedicated to this film, and they're doing an addition in November blah blah blah. But the big thing is that they just straight came out and said Warner Brothers is dropping a four K of The Exorcist without Warner Brothers saying it first. That's not really a great
thing to do when you're working with licensing titles from Warner Brothers. So they emailed me and said, Hey, just so you know, we only met in Italy. We're not trying to put it say that Warner Brothers is putting out the rest of the world. I'm sorry, I'm not going to put out a four K of The Exorcist in Italy and not the rest of the
world. I don't know anything about Cinemuseum, but there was a comment on either their page or maybe it was your somebody's page, and they were basically like really ripping Cinea Museum, and a lot of people like piggybacked on that comment had a lot of bad things to say about the company. Well, I'm waiting for what video man is going to say here. He says you should read the news about Cinemuseum before you recommend him. I'm not recommending them
here. All I'm saying is, hey, Warner Brothers appears to be putting out a four K of The Exorcist, which is a big deal. So this is the first time we've had that confirmed anywhere. I think we all saw it coming, but it's nice to know that it's coming because this is a movie that is going to look ridiculously great in four K. This is a very dark movie, obviously, most of this is just going to be deep black surrounding it. I yeah, I can't wait to see this in
a good four kid. Yeah, I see Tim's comment right there. Tim said that there was a quebre release in Canada. I believe. Yeah, that's the one. I think it was from twenty twelve. I just read that out. Uh, that is pretty cheap. Yeah, and it's region in because it's Canada. I don't want to say the news. Just search, you know what, I'll say, the news, I don't care. Let me pull it up, send a museum. I don't know what else to look up with it though. I heard, yeah, I mean,
gizmo, just tell us because I'm curious. But I heard somebody was just saying how you can't trust that. I can't remember what I read, but it was a whole paragraph, and I decided to read the whole thing, and a lot of people were piggybacking on it. So I don't know what they are. I never but I know that they released that Boss Boys. Oh, I guess that they've like announced stuff and then they'll say it shipped and then they waited a month to ship somebody's like people's copies before or something.
I don't know, other stuff like that. Uh, yeah, this is a cinema museum. That's not the same thing. Trying to read. Yeah, I'm not seeing anything. What do I google to see the news there? Yeah, gizmo, just tell us what you're Yeah, I'm not sure. I just remember hearing it was something I read on Instagram. But they their stuff looks really cool. But from what I heard is it's it's
not that good. It's it's low quality. They just take steal books that have already been released and then put their own box in it or something. I don't know. Oh, well, that's what a lot of the premiums do. They're not adding anything new on the discs. It's mostly premium packaging. Yeah, now in the museum yet or now, I've not. I do have one of their releases that I got from somebody else. And I'm happy with it. It's it's very nice. It's I see the link you
posted there for that. Yeah, that's awesome. You can order that from Amazon you then, no, that's uh. I went straight to Amazon Canada. Okay, gotcha, I didn't check Amazon US. Let me see what is this criterion layoff that they speak of. They let go sixteen people today? Oh are they struggling with money? Uh? They're saying that it's due to restructuring. Video Manage says yes to everything Bob said. But today I got the message that they, on top of that, collaborated with Luxbox.
I don't know. Uh, okay, I'll look up Luxbox. Then Tim said, I think Cinema's antakes forever to ship, and they keep putting up new ones to order. I think some people are still waiting a year plus on releases from them. That sounds right. When I google Luxbox, it's just a bunch of things advertising them. So why do they keep tell me? Ryan? Why is you as a company? Would you keep putting out releases if you still haven't even shipped people's orders from six months eight months ago.
I can't answer that for you. I have no idea. I mean Travon says, does the pulp fiction four K new special features? I believe the answer to that is no, and that's sold that is that paramount yes, because it's sold on Amazon. I personally, I'm not a big fan
of Amazon. I hate their shipping. However, I don't like best By exclusives because I don't like not being able to get it through anywhere else since it sells out on pre orders and I don't pre order from best Buy because they fucked me once really badly and I just refuse to like give Best By my pre orders. But I'm the only one who really gets screwed because if it sells out, then it's out of print and I'm resulted the eBay. So I'm the only one that gets screwed. Best By winds either way.
Yeah, unfortunately that is true. Tim talks Talkie says, I think cine Museum takes forever to ship and they keep putting up new ones to order. The other thing that I wanted to point out is some of these premium people, like I said here, they take poster related art that people have made elsewhere and I don't credit the artist or pay them and just put it on their releases. What I don't. I'm not saying Cinna Museum has done that, but there is you said, yes, other of the premium companies.
I know that there's at least one of the big ones from China that has done that too. I believe it was Darren Wheeling. So just the the awesome artwork we see on Instagram that just random people post for like these movies. They just take that or the poster prints that I was telling you about a little while ago. They'll see that, post it online, save the image that's in high quality, and then go take it to the computer and
put it on your release. Wow. Look, I you know, not to get slightly off topic here, but like YouTube, we're all content creators and it's hard to put out original new content. But if if I do something that I know somebody else deserves credit for, I will always give credit where credits. I'm not going to go out of my way to give if
I don't think that I need to. But if I have zero issues giving somebody credit or calling somebody out as a compliment, you know, And so that's just bs yep uh plant Mono says, I illustrated the banner my YouTube pig nice. I will check that out. I mean I watched some of your videos. I just don't know that I've ever checked out your homepage because you sent me that link went time and I subscribe from there. Uh oh, we're already on the next one. I forgot I changed it. BFI
flip side. Do you have a lot of BFI? Do you have anything from BFI? I don't think I have any BFI. BFI stands for British Film Institute and they do a lot of high quality stuff and uh, this is a sale on their flip side items. That is, let's see the sale. I don't think it had an end date. But they do some really great stuff. In fact, do they number their spines? Uh no? Oh cool? Oh yeah, the flip sides they do. I said no because I saw a regular one. But yeah, these are these super
Sharp Shocks sub label. I can't see there. It goes forty one and forty three. Oh geez yep. Yeah that was awful. I like, I don't know where the camera is. These are really great releases. Uh they have like this first one is this yeah, Part one Short Sharp Shocks Part one has uh one, two, three, four, five, nine different titles in it, and then this one has the second part has ten different titles in it, and they are they're fairly short, real quick,
easy to breeze through them. BFI is amazing. Now I got a question for you, because I know you're a fan of this company, Umbrella right, Yes, okay, how many little I don't know if you called so? So they got beyond genres, odds, ploitation, sensual cinema, films of fury, world cinema, and then like the Sun Sunburn or something like that. Uh yeah, Sunburnt screams. So that's what did I just name?
Six? We named? How do they more than that too? And then they got this, Yes, they've got like the horror classic horror, I don't remember what it's called it. And then they do some double features ones and those are all numbers fines because they they the their own little sub label or whatever. That's crazy. Yeah, absolutely, uh let's see. So yeah, BFI flip sides having a sale. They do great work. I will completely recommend them at all times. Just check it out. One
title you can see here in this little banner I start counting. This was put out in the US by fun City cinema I start counting in the UK has all kinds of exclusive bonus features, so if you really like that movie, you might want to get it on sale here as well. That whole barbarian thing people might not want to, not want to be sparring rumors or anything if it ends up happening supposedly. Do you know a date? No,
there is no date yet. They basically the two wheet itself says, yes, I believe there will be a physical media release at some point. There was a commentary track recorded just last week for the DVD, so the plans are in motion, just don't know when. And obviously a lot of people that are creating when they say for the DVD, they don't mean just specifically DVD format and yeah, yeah, potential now I know. I guess the video on demand release of it's going to have some special features too.
I don't know. Yeah, sounds like there's gonna be something small with it. Yeah, I don't know much about that because I don't do much. I don't download anything digitally. I'm all physical media. Man. I stream some stuff because I have kids and I can't be putting discs in all day for them, so they've got access to a couple services, but yeah, that's it. I don't do any of the VOD stuff. Now, are
you a big steel book guy or not so much? Uh? I am such a big steel book guy that I buy the se two steel book protectors from overseas and I tried them out. I bought a hundred of them and said, if I really like them, I can get more. Uh I like them a lot, so I bought five hundred and I ran out of those about seventy five or eighty steel books ago, and I need a whole lot more. I use the little plastic baggies. I'm not sure which ones yours are, uh I, says Team Premium. I could probably grab one
from right here. It's very much. This is the Princess and the Frog steel book. This is very much. If you don't mind for me show, yeah, of course, sorry, I've got a special requests. I thank you. Plastic protector all the way around. And then it's got the one opening on the side, so you got the one that opens that leads
the spine open. So if I was ever gonna get any it would be those ones, because I really like the spine opening on those, because I like that if you're putting them on the shelf, it doesn't show any plastic because that's how your spine is displayed now, So I do it the opposite way. I protect the art on the spine and the only thing that's open is the other side, where it's just trash, because I don't care if this gets damaged. I care if this around right because some people I know
some people's complained as well. It doesn't protect all of it. I'm like, I like that. I do that because I watch my movies. I want to be able to pull it out of there. Yeah, the bags, the bags are sometimes a paint some of those. I know Tim loves his Melco Protectors. I hate Melco Protectors too. They're a pain in the ass. I can't Sorry, Tim, I can't stand Melcho's that, and I hate that they put their name on it. It is so annoying.
Yeah, I just can't get them out. I remember one of my friends fumbling through his Spider Man and I will never advertise or promote their stuff. I can't stand those same but I like those. But it's tough because how much do you mind talk the price? The more you buy, the cheaper they are, So if you get ten, it's like eight dollars, if you get twenty five, it's like fourteen dollars, and then if you get one hundred, it's like like thirty five dollars, and then you can go
all the way up to I think two fifty for like sixty bucks. So it's it's really not bad if you buy a lot at once, but it's worth it. I think that's my issue. I know. Blanet Mondo said, the're insanely hard to open. That's my issue with Malco's. I can't open like he couldn't close it, and he couldn't open it. Yeah, and they never sealed just right to when they sit on their shelf that it looks. I can't stand him. He even said, t Malco, goyah, sorry, Tim, not attacking you. I am leave them well.
Go USA announced that they are putting out it Man three on four K by itself a reminder that a couple of weeks ago we announced that they were putting out itp Man one and two on a standalone four K. This will finally complete the it Man saga. They had put out four on standalone four K when it first came out one and two just came out. All four of them had been in a box set that went at a print like the day it was announced basically, so now you'll be able to get all four of
them on individual four K at least. Now, Well, go USA, would you consider them a boutique label? By definition? I try to say that a boutique label is anything that is putting out films that is not the studio themselves. Well, go USA does not create these films. They are handling distribution. So I call it a boutique label because without them, these films do not get a physical release. And then how about r lj Entertainment RLJE, because I really like r LJE. I mean same thing. They're
not creating the movies. When I my shelves behind me are arranged by boutique label and down to my right below me is r LJAE Right now, that's exactly. And they're really nice because they match the slipcovers, the blue little banner at the top. I like that, and it's good low budget horror for the most part that they put out. And without them, I don't know that we'd get a release of all of these films. It's something that would probably end up if it did come out like DVD only at Walmart or
something like that. Yeah, I'm not about that life. And these labels all put their little spine, you know, the logo on the spine. You know what. The one company I don't understand. You got to tell me why this is, Scorpion Releasing, does not put a logo on their spine. They just put s corp or something and that's it, and then the logos on the back. Yeah, yeah, I don't that's the craziest thing to be. They're like the only label that doesn't put their logo on
the spine. They just don't seem to care, which uh I mean, I respect, but I wouldn't mind seeing it for sure. Yeah, you have all those organized too. Then Oh yeah, Scorpion, let's see. I think they're right behind me somewhere. Oh yeah, look literally right behind me. So I just say a little stack like this nice. Oh my god, those looks so good. I'm drooling. I'm foaming at the mouth. Yeah, I'd never realized that that they have nothing for Scorpion on the
back. S C. And then where's my camera? I'll put out for anybody that hasn't seen it. This is the Scorpion releasing logo. I mean, at least put the little scorpion on the spine. That'd be cool, that would be awesome. I would love that. But I see you pulled up the layer. Is that how you pronounce it? Uh? Oh? This? Yes? Yeah, this is the layer. This is a Marshall I go no way, Yeah, this is his newest film. Yeah. I didn't hear the best things about it, but The Dissent Dog Soldiers and
Doomsday, and I love all three of those films. I like to Doomsday. Doomsday gets a lot of hate, but that's okay because I enjoy It's fun. It's just entertaining. It's like Mad Max but Walmart version of it. But it's still fun. But this is r l JE, right, Uh? This is yeah RLJE. You're right? Yeah, yeah, I'm really excited. I can't wait for this. I mean, especially being that the cover looks cool. It's Neil Marshall and it's our LJE. I'm totally
game. I'm not sure if this is the final cover. It might be placeholder imaging because it didn't have any of the branding. It's a monster with some bloody teeth. That's all that pretty damn cool. I gotta be honest. It does kind of remind me The Descent Monsters too. Yes, The Descent is such a great film. I wouldn't even say great film. I would say maybe like top three horror from the last twenty years. Yeah, it was. I think it was on my honorable mentions for my top five
from the last twenty two years, and it was. It was right there with number five. It was up there. Do you remember your five offhand? I'd love to hear them. Uh, yeah, I watched it yet. Okay, so number one was jeeper screepers. I didn't get into the politics of them. Would take number two? Was? Was it? Twenty
eight weeks later? I think I might have pulled the sequel? The collection was one of them Quiet Place and uh Monster Party, which RLJE put out and I love Monster Party to anybody who hasn't seen that if you're into like, you know, Monster Party is great. Uh. We are getting semi close to the end. I think. Uh. MVD as part of the Marquee collection is putting out rain Man on four k uh this film? I
have you seen rain Man ever? Yes? Uh? Was it four thirty, George Watner four thirty, George Yes, Uh, Tom Cruise, Dustin Hoffman great performances obviously, but uh, what do you feel about rain Man? I like rain Man? You don't like it? I? Uh, I don't know not not to get all like, it's probably gonna no matter what I say, it's gonna sound like a social justice warrior thing. I I'm not a big fan of the representation of this film. I've got two
kids with autism. I've got ADHD. One of my kids is ADHD. I work in a lot of the areas surrounding behavioral health. Uh. I don't love the way that present things in this film for sure. Okay, Now, so how do you feel about other films than like Radio? To be flat out honest, I think most of them are borderline offensive. Okay. I don't think that they're bad movies necessarily, but it's exploitation in a really weird way. And I love how Tropic Thunder made fun of it.
I think that they poked at it in the perfect way. And I can't really think of anything that came out after Tropic Thunder that was done in that way. Did you see Ringer and did that one really bother you. Yeah, I hate that fucking movie. Yeah, I can't stand it at all. Funny enough, and I don't know if I should say anything publicly yet.
I'm actually working behind the scenes with somebody that I've interviewed on the channel to an inner to do a video on how portraying neurotypical people and people that are neuro divergent in film and how we could do better and you know, just to analyze it basically. So yeah, I hoping to put that out here pretty soon. Actually, now one I've got because they do you like it when they get actors who have that disability, as long as it's not
at their expense. Sure, Yeah, nothing wrong with the buff movie because you're taking a butter Falcon is one of my favorite films of all time. It was an incredible movie and he was really good in that super good, super likable he made the movie. I mean, the three of them together were incredible. Yeahota Johnson said such great things working with him too, Zach
I believe was his name. Yep, good good stuff. MVD rewind is putting out the last American version, and all kinds of people are pissed off because they just bought the out of print all the release of this movie. Have you seen I mean, it seems right up your alle Have you seen last American version? I have not, but I heard it's actually I heard it's actually emotional. It's a good movie. Yeah, nineteen eighty two.
Fairly Subtle is recently telling me if you went through a breakup in like the nineties, this or eighties, this movie, it just will resonate with you and it could make you cry at the end and stuff. But this cover looks incredible. I love MVD Rewine collection. I'm a big fan. I'm not saying their transfers are the greatest there anything like that. And I wanted to bring this up up and I'm so glad you pulled up an MVD movie. What did you think of how long it took Jack Frost two to get
right? I didn't have a problem with it, especially because they were so transparent about it. They were never what's that. Eric's a great guy. Oh. Eric is amazing. I've been trying to get him on the channel for a long long time. He is other than Fran from Radiance Films, he is one of the most transparent people doing this in any of the labels. I appreciate Eric so damn much. I love Eric and he so MVD. You probably know a lot about this. So you got MVD Rewind collection,
MVD Marquee collection. What is MVD Visual then, because they I see a lot of their stuff with On Earth Classics and On Earth films. I'm trying to remember what is MVD. Okay, let me grab my MVD visual titles. I've got those separated as well. So I've got, uh, the Taking of Deborah Logan, Snapdragon Max Reload and another, Blasters, Lady World, Death House, and Behind the Sightings. Those are all MVD Visual. I don't think those having a very standard genre or theme or anything like
that. So does Eric own I know he owns like MVD Marquee and MVD Rewind. Does he run MVD Visual as well? Then? Well, first of all, I don't think Eric owns any of them. I think he does a lot of the acquisitions and is somebody there. But MVD is uh movie? I never remember what it's, what it's of, what it stands for. MVD is the biggest distribution company for say, is that MVD Entertainment Group. Are they the ones who own MVD we want. They are the
same, They're too in the same. I did not know that. I didn't know if they were correlated with each other. Yes, sir, MVD owns all of that, and they said, hey, why don't we just put out some of our own movies. So they handle distribution for almost all of the boutiques. There's only a couple other distributors in the US. I mean, obviously one of the biggest ones is OCN with Vinegar Syndrome. But you also have Cave Releasing. Cav Severn used to work with them, and
now they're with MVD. We also have Alliance, and I've never understood that, but I know MVD Entertainment Group seems to be like with Grindhouse or a bit diabolic, right, like everyone Errow Video Severn. I think they just do it through. They're the ones who distribute all their stuff, right, And when people get free stuff to review, it's coming from MVD, not actually Arrow, right, correct. Arrow is not sending that out because Arrow
is not a distributor. MVD is okay, So when you get that little whole punch Barcode and I don't but a lot of reviewers that all comes from MVD. Then I don't get those either because I don't get many free copies to review. I've got one company that I get stuff to review for and that's it. So yeah, but that's all coming from MVD, I believe. Yeah, yeah it is. Yes, tiktoks talk. He says mvd's warehouse is an hour and a half for me. He wants to go shopping.
I wish that is where they don't have a store, right, no, no, okay, Well they've got a website where you can go to the MVD website and buy directors. They're with their Grindhouse. Yeah, and I appreciate that they have no reason to be. Their movies are everywhere already. Why would they open a retail store. It would be a waste of time. For Yeah, I want to go visit Grindhouse in Tennessee. Is it Chattanooga? Now Knoxville? Knoxville? And then Orbit's right by KB and
you right, not too. Orbit is in South Carolina or South Carolina, I think, or North Carolina, one of the two. They're very far from us. Oh is it diabolic or no? They're in by Georgia, never mind by Georgia right by I think Orbit's near Georgia. I believe Orbit funny enough because of geography, they're like two hours and fifteen minutes away from Grindhouse, So if you're gonna go to Grindhouse, you may as well just
go to Orbit as well. Oh that's awesome. That's great to know, perfect because I'm planning a road trip next year to actually, to be honest with you, where I'm going to hit up a bunch of different physical media stores and try and meet a bunch of different collectors. So yeah, very nice. Next up, but you see last American version, big fan, I wouldn't say big fan. I think let's see. I think there was
a good car. Comment on this LISTA says bad marketing on the last American version of the market is a team sex romp and it's most uh, it's mostly a good drama, I gotta be honest. It's well acted like private School or Porky's at all, No, nothing like that, but it's it's it's more adult of a storyline, so it's still worth it for sure. I can just kind of say I know where two hours, ten minutes said. This has been not only informational to me, but I'm having a blast.
Good because we could probably still go for another hour if you're up for it. Yeah, no, for sure, still got our list to go through too. I was gonna say, as long as as long as you're okay with that. I haven't fun that. I love live streaming. So I says the archives in Pennsylvania, but I will correct it. The archive for Vinegar Syndrome is in Connecticut, Connecticut, and I think there's another retail store that's within the whole Knoxville, Tennessee. And then Terry says Orbit is
in Asheville, North Carolina. I think there's another big retail store, but I don't think they have a website. Yeah, never Live twentieth and twenty first Tree James and then Tony from Basement Blues. I think they're like two hours or an hour, and they're in Georgia, and I think they're pretty close to that Orbit. And then where's Diabolic? Then uh, they are up in Pennsylvania. Oh, he is in Philly. Tim is really close
to I forgot Tim is right next to Diabolic, I believe. Yeah, Lucky Guy Colorado, Yeah, Denver is getting the other Vinegar Syndrome archive. Has anybody seen I know they did like a soft opening. I don't know if they're open full time yet though. In Denver, I feel like they're waiting for the Black Friday Sale to launch now. Vinegar Syndrome to like Roadhouse Texas, Shanehome Masker to Amityville Horde, none of those will be on sale
during Black Friday then, right correct? Okay, yeah, so might as well get him now because they're gonna be the same price either way, right, yes? In fact, uh yeah, none of them will be cheaper at all. In fact, Roadhouse may even be a couple dollars more. Yeah, because minisogasale because they say it's what three months it has to be
out before it's on sale or something like that. Uh, it used to be three months, and then they moved it to four and then with the way that they are doing partner label only month in the month of June and December, it now turns into six months basically because there's no vinegars in them. Release in June. Is Ticks still in print with this slipcover over a Yeah, I don't know if it's over one thousand. How So. I had a friend during the Black Friday set, like halfway to Black Friday Sale.
He's like, I'm just gonna wait until Black Friday. I was like, there's no way that is going to still be in stock with this slip, and that he might be right. There are more than a thousand. He's absolutely right. And the reason it's still oh because Summer by four sold out so fast because they put out eight thousand copies of Ticks. There you think, I'm not sure, like how how much is a lot to vinegar syndrome and how much isn't eight? So like, what is the one is
Roadhouse with ten thousand or is that all the vsus? Which Roadhouse is one of them? They get like ten thousand. The Summer of eighty four that you brought up that only had three thousand copies. That's why that one is long gone. I'm still kind of surprised Ticks isn't selling that well. Well, you don't know that it's not selling well either, Yeah, because it's still got over one thousand, so it could be sold. It could be. It could be eleven hundred right now. Yeah, yeah, and it's
it's Ticks. A lot of people don't like those creature features with bugs and stuff like that. It's not something like rad or Roadhouse that has this big cultural impact, so I don't know that one's tough. Yeah, we'll bring us back up. You ever shop at Roninflicks. No, but they're running a sale right now. I heard, Yeah, this is the sale.
They you get an extra forty percent off the current low price when you spend fifty dollars or more on their Halloween collection, which the biggest one is they're the ones that put out Haunt, that film from just a few years ago. Ant and I Spit on your Grave back set, and let me tell you that Haunt limited incredible. You get like five magnets, four posters. It's unbelievable. And I Spit on your Grave comes with a fridge magnet too. How Haunt came with a bunch of pins too. It was just release.
And do you know how much it is after the sale right now? Oh god, thirty six dollars. That's the collector's edition. I paid like seventy on Grindhouse for it. I think are sixty nine. It is a wonderful release. Ronan Flicks does a lot of Scorpion releasing titlesse this used to be the main hub of Scorpion titles, so most of the ones on sale
are Scorpion titles now Ronan flicks. They because they sell a bunch of others, like they got their own way, say, they sell a bunch of other labels, but they started to release their own stuff with their own logo on the spine. And they have numbered spines, but they're only up to like they only have like ten or eleven or twelve or thirteen I'm seeing, so I don't even think it's up to ten yet. I think it's like seven. So they haven't released all that much yet. And not everything comes
with the slip some of it does. And then Haunt though, is a little confusing because if you get the Collector's edition, it's a different number, and if you get the slipcover version standard, it's a different number. Correct. Yeah, so if you want to get them all, you got to buy multiple copies of the same, which I'm fine because I think the Haunt comes with a different slip cover if you get the Collector's edition versus the standard
slip it comes with the different masks on there, the colors. In fact, I should have them close. You got both of them? Uh oh, look at that right here. I don't have both of them. So I've got is this number one? Yep, the release of hardware that they put out with the slipcover. This is run and Flicks number one. This is a mighty hard fine nowadays. And then uh, what does it say r F O one on the spine? R F O one. Yeah, then their slipcover release of Haunt. This thing is beautiful. That's it's I
love that movie too. This is number three, I guess yeah. And then I've got the I Spit on Your Grave box set? Now that number because I got that too. What is oh? This says this is number two. Hello, it just wasn't in the right order on the on the shelf. This is yeah, r F two B, two D and two C. And then I got the four K upgrade of I Spit on Your Grave that they allowed for people that bought the box set. And what is I bought them separately from grind This one says r F two B. Okay,
so it's all number two as I Spin on Your Grave. That's kind of cool that they did that. Noo, I love Ice. I don't want to say I love I Spin on Your Grave. That sounds bad, but I remember my dad showed me that film at a pretty young Agent. Yeah, there's there's another one from them, lawnmower Man two. This is Ronan Flix number six. Okay, yeah, yeah, they're right around that number ten. So they just started their own stuff. Then no hardware came
out gosh like five years ago now. But they haven't done a lot of work though. No. Yeah, they were only putting out one or two every year. Yeah. This one came out June of twenty eighteen. Okay, so yeah, so they're just almost like Grindhouse releasing just once one a year or so. Yeah, just about maybe two. Ronan Flicks has has been odd. They like I said, they used to do a lot of Scorpion Releasing stuff, but now Scorpion Releasing is a Keno Lorber partner label now
instead of through Ronan Flicks. And so this whole they sell aero titles. That was never the case until like a year and a half ago. It used to only be Scorpion and Code Red that they sold on the site, and then the Rone Inflicks titles. So this whole weird going to be a retailer thing is brand new for them. But I will say, if you don't own many of the Scorpion titles, this is the time to get them because they are high quality, they're on sale. You can get somebody's titles
for like nine dollars. I was gonna say, Keno Lariber. I had like sixty in my cart, sixty Scorpion titles because Keino had them for five, six, seven, eight nine bucks like Keno's Keno. Anybody who doesn't know this, Keno sells like half of more than half of Scorpion's catalog. This is true. And then that last Keno Laber sale that they just did that was like three and a half weeks long. The day they went live, I went, you know, I think I've got most of my Kino
stuff. Let me go see what I'm missing that I would like in this sale. I put everything I would like in my cart and at the and it was I think seventy four titles and like eleven hundred dollars. I was like, okay, I can't get anywhere near to this. I was at seventy nine titles and seven hundred and seventy five dollars and I only ended up spending one hundred and twenty one. Yeah, I'm so excited for this. I've never seen three, four or five I've only seen one in two.
Speaking of numbered spines, Restauran Video bringing Silent Night, Deadly Night, the collection three, four and five. This is seventeen ninety nine and that might even drop in price or no, most likely, Yeah, you'll see this is spine number twenty eight from Restaurant. Yeah. I can't say enough good things about Vesturant the same when you want continuity on a shelf, their numbers are in the same exact spot. Something that's bothered me and other people with
mvd rewind collections. Their numbers aren't always consistently in the same spot. They're a little off centered, and Action USA is like below all the other other ones. I actually prefer the mvd rewind because they do themes on all their slips and all that. Though I like that like Final Justice. This is an example of a recent one, and they made it look like it was sun faded, and none of the slipcovers are identical. The color fading is
different on all the slipcovers. I mean, I'm sure there are some that are really just happy. I'm just happy they number their spines. Now, I've got a question for you because you probably know this answer, but because I keep like a list of everything in the number of spine. Cauldron has announced number twelve and thirteen? What is number eleven? Because they didn't they're only they've only released ten so far, but the next two pre orders are
number twelve and thirteen. Is City of the Living Dead four K gonna be eleven? It would not surprise me. A lot of the times that these companies go through the process of acquiring films, they give a catalog number which will ma the spine number. City the Living Dead getting a four K release probably took longer because they had to go through the whole restoration process, So maybe they acquired it before these last two that are coming out, so they
already numbered City even though it'll go on sale afterwards. Another example of this happens with Indicator. They are obnoxious with this sometimes. I think they're up to like number three hundred and sixty or something like that. For Indicator. They just released number like seventy three a couple months ago, just now. So it happens where they go back and fix some of these. Yeah, code read they have missing numbers. Yep, they stopped numbering them for a
long time. I don't think they're ever going to fix that. No, they're not going to because they were not ever numbered. Yeah, Mitchell, you are correct. It was Screen Factory that released those two, and their numbers get really annoying code red because like they put out just before dawn, which is like number five, there's two number fives, and then they put out before dawn with the slip cover and put a new number on it.
So if you want to get all the numbers, you got to get one without the slip one with the slip flex wants to know have we seen the movie Barbarian and would you recommend it? I loved Barbarian. I think Barbarian is one of the most unique and fun horror movies to come out in recent
years. That not only would I recommend it, I almost think it should be required viewing for people that are trying to get into movies because it's that dang off the wall and good and to think that is the same director that did Miss March and this was his follow up to that. And it's not only that it's one of the comedians from The Whitest Kids, you know, that's the bigger thing. It is somebody with the comedy background that brought this
level of just incredible, like slapstick horror. I could not believe it serious as the best thing. He was the actor in Miss March Too, the one with the concussion. Did you like Miss March? Uh? I adore the Whitest Kids, you know, I loved Miss March. I love of all of the sketches. I am still crushed that Trevor is dead. I don't understand how he died so young. It's yeah, is Trevor. Who's Trevor the other one? He's in My smart Yeah, he's one of the
main people from Whites Kids. You know. Wow, I didn't know that. Yeah, he just died fairly recently, like last summer or something like that. But Barbarian, yeah, I'm I'm with everything Ryan said. And it's so it is so unique. You know how people complain and clamor for original content. Yes, there you go, Barbarian. Stay away from spoilers, absolutely, Yeah, go into that one blind. Don't even watch the trailer, it's not worth it. Let's go to some features on this one.
So Salent Night, Deadly Night three, Better Watch Out gets an audio commentary from Jarrett and Gahan. Uh. There is Outshine the braincap a featurette with Bill Moseley. There is another featurette with creative consultant Stephen Gatos for a live audience. There is a little featurette with the executive producer Richard Gladstein. And then Part four gets an audio commentary by none other than Brian Usna himself. And then our man Rickey shows up. That is a Clint Howard featurette.
We got a scriptwriter featurette. We got a featurette with Screaming Mad George. Yeah, there's a lot of great stuff on this And then I am a big, big defender of Silent Night Deadly Night five. I think it is the best in the entire franchise. It is not really connected to any of the other films, and that's why I like it so much. I think that the Toy Maker is the best one. For this one. We get an audio commentary by Martin kitt Rosser the Best Presence with Brian Usna coming
back. We get an actor from this one doing a featurette called Pinos Truth. And then again Screaming Mad George is back. Three full discs on this one. This is gonna be an incredible release. The only thing that I have a problem with lately with Vestron, they're transfers. Ever since Maximum Overdrive, everything else has been pretty shitty that they've put out. Not that the movies are bad, but it seems like they're not giving anything brand new transfers.
And that's why I love these movies. I want them to look great. It's nice that they're getting a high death release, but like Little Monsters looked awful, God awful. I understand that they've come with a price cut since then, but if it means, you know, spending eight dollars more
for a better transfer, I'd be all about that. I don't I wouldn't mind spending twenty six dollars on this for a pristine transfer one seventeen ninety nine is unbelievably cheap for three movies, especially this is something that's only ever been on DVD. Now, one of your favorite people, I'm being sarcastic, one of those other guys who posts stuff early in rumors. One of them had posted about a dentist coming to Vestran. Do you think there's any truth
behind that? Uh? Yes, because Vestaurant had a hand on that when it first came out. I think that if they were going to do it. It probably already would have been done except for I don't think there was a US scan a US not necessarily for K scan, but even just an updated HD scan. So I believe there's a bootleg out there, like the
German media books. I don't think those are sanctioned scans. Unfortunately, a lot of those media books they just get their hands on a transfer and press the discs, so it doesn't look like a bootleg spar so you're really paid for the media book itself, right, Yeah, and then how about Goolies and Gules three or something like that. I believe it's primarily talking about Goolei's three and Goolies go to College. That would not surprise me at all either.
It's one that it's it's kind of like this. It's the latter half of a beloved franchise. It's the less beloved films. But people would pay out the ass to get them. So if you put it out there and you sell them for eighteen, you're still gonna sell probably ten thousand copies of this. I would love Goolies three and four because I got the first and second from screen exactly. Yeah. Yeah, there's a lot good you might get into it, and I'm sorry the puppet Master three. Why the four
K for that and not the first or second? Uh, it's full Moon, So I'm not gonna be able to give you a logical answer on that. I am not a full Moon fan. Do you like Full Moon at all? I like Castle Freak, I agree, but I also think that they could have done a lot better. And supposedly they're putting that out on four K eventually. Two that's probably one of their better titles or best titles. That Girls Trapp are their two best movies. Yeah, so with full
Moon, they're not good titles. Like I saw I Bought Baby Oopsie and that's really bad. That's not what people think of when they think of Full Moon. Really, they think of the older type like puppet Master or the old Dinosaur film that they put prehistoria or prehysteria. Well, I'd like that. I bought that trunk and I did a video of it, and it was like I hated the video, but I actually got a lot of comments and people were like, I couldn't take the damn things out of the trunk.
Because the old set came with twelve blu rays, they added a thirteenth in a really thin case. But it makes it impossible to take them out now. And so what I had to do is I had to take these two things, shove it in between the blue rays and pull it out like this. It was unbelievable, yes, basically, And I said I Some people said, why don't you take them out of the shrink wrap and then maybe they'll be easier to pull out. I'm afraid to do that because I've
scratched the hell out of the cases. So yeah, although it would take off about it like an eighth of an inch, maybe, I guess. Yeah, I could not get these things. That was unbelievable. Sorry, I'm off top off time. Do you got to stop apologizing? We like going off topic here. Raven Banner Entertainment. You got anything from them? They're a Canadian boutique. No, but a lot of these look I like the cover art. Well, they're another one that's closet. If you tell
me they have numbered spines too, I'm gonna ship myself. You see, I'm not sure if they do. They've got catalog numbers, not not actual numbers. What is the difference between catalog number versus like numbered spines? So let me show up like Zuo video a catalog number versuses. Okay, yes, in vinegar syndrome, that's technically a catalog number, right, correct In like VSA, that's technically catbalog number. Not yes, but technically but technically
you can go by it. You know, some people call it number. But okay, so yeah, like this one is very much a catalog number. It's just you can't even read it. It says rb R five six seven seven b D. That doesn't mean anything. That reminds me of screen Factory whatever as F and then like five numbers after And that's because it's their skew. Yeah, it's how they keep track of what they're putting out. So Raven Banner does some great stuff. Uh, they've got death Gasm that
they put out. This even got an alternate slip. They've got Victor Crowley the fourth Hatchet film. They are the ones that want to wait show can you show that on the full screen? Oh my god, that looks incredible? What that is the coolest thing? That is wild I've never seen it gets better? Oh and you know what here, let's let's do this even you see, I don't I love when us his physical media collectors can. That's why when Tim has been on my channel, I get people on that
are passionate. I'm like, don't ever apologize for passion. That's what we're here to do. That makes me passionate. That is awesome. This is even bigger full screen now look at it. That is unbelievable. Even better, check out the back. Oh my god, I'm in love with that thing. And and I'm not even saying Victor Crowley's the best in the franchise, because it is probably not my favorite, but I love the cameo Danielle Harris has at the end in the credits that Okay, what I gotta write
that down? What is this slip? Like one hundred dollars? No, not at all. One of the better famous slips from them. I'm gonna have to hide a little bit of this for YouTube. I'm sure you've seen this one the Autopsy of Jane Doe. I haven't. This is wild, dude. Watch what happens when you take the slip cover off. Oh my god, and the back is even pretty damn artistic too. I love this
movie. Oh my god. These slips are epic. And then they are the ones that went big on Psycho Gorman before r LJE And this isn't a slip this is a slip case. So it's the sideloader Ryan. I'm losing my mind right now. This came with Psycho Gorman Baseball whoops, I just dropped him baseball cards. Oh my god. Psycho Gorman was a lot of fun. I've got like four releases of it. I love that movie. It was it. Do you think it is what a lot of people call
it? A love letter to like Power Rangers? Is that? Gotcha? I believe in the one of the featurettes on the disc they actually talk about that. So how many do they have? Do you know? And do they all come with slipcovers? That radio uh KB is asking what studio is that Jane Doe from the label is Rave Raven Banner Entertainment and then originally this is oh gosh, I don't remember what studio did. I feel like it was an IFC film maybe for what for Autopsy of Jane Doe? The actual
studio that created it. Oh yeah, I think so, because I think Screen Factory put that out right. Yes, yeah, So this is a Canadian you said this is a Canadian label. Quite often you can buy their stuff on Orbit DVD. Uh, they get their stuff in. But also because the Canadian dollar is weaker compared to the US dollar, you can buy from their site, and so if you see one of these on sale, it's actually cheaper than what the website says once you get the currency convert from
the US dollar to the Canadian dollar. How many do they have, do you know? I don't know offhand. I will say that the ones that you can see here we got spare parts and this one is the vigil And then they put out this release of Psycho Gorman with an action figure and then a double feature with Bunny the Killer Thing and sky Sharks Come True Low Life. How are their transfers because these are some of the best artwork in like packaging that I've seen. I'm all giddy over these. They are the Studios
transfers. So like Psycho Gorman, it's the same disc basically that was put out by RLJE. Oh cool, I like when they do that. I'm glad that you learned tonight. Then I'm not named just one thing I said, Oh, Bob doesn't know about the hug pillow. Last week we Live we went on to I think it was Rocking Fought and have you ever heard
of that T shirt company? No, they did a run on Psycho Gorman last week and one of the things that they put out was a hug pillow of Psycho Gorman that is like one of the old nineteen nineties WWE wrestler little pillow buddy things. And I may have bought it. That's awesome, he said it. It's such a quiet voice. So Knopps Films has like they're they like outside of there is it imprint, No, not imprint, They're
they're like porn label. I'm not sure Impulse Impulse. They only have like sixty blue rays, Synops films some I don't even know if it's sixty it's yeah, So is this label similar to that or they got a lot more than that. I they definitely have less. They might have like thirty five total. Oh sweet, So I could totally go after taking a look at all these these movies that they Yeah, and right now is the best time. It's off too. Yep, you can get stuff on sale right now.
Body spirit parts there. I've never seen spare parts, but that looks good that I believe. Spare Parts was also put out by R l j E. Actually yeah, oh really, yeah, jeez, I'm a big RLJE guy right now. Actually, on Orbit you can get stuff from Raven Banner and one of them. I'm gonna see if I can pull this up because they just got it in stock and I'm gonna show you One of their best slips that Raven Banner's ever done is they did a pride slip for Psycho
Gorman. Uh like the uh Screen Factory did one for the Babba Duck. Did you see that one? Uh? No, no, yes, I saw that the rainbow one. Uh, there is a gorgeous, gorgeous rainbow slip for Psycho Gorman. Let me pull it up here now I saw side hustles. I said that Victor Crawley's only fifteen dollars in the sale, and that's fifteen Canadian dollars, so it's actually even less for us. That's what Psycho Gorman looks like. This is the Psycho Gorman pride slip. Oh my
god? Is psych I didn't catch. Is Psycho Gorman supposed to be like an LGBT movie? Uh not? I mean they're they're okay with it. It's not it's not like a gay movie or anything like that. They're not
promoting anything. I didn't get that from Babba Duke either. Uh No, the bobbadouoke thing, it was an inside joke because Netflix accidentally put the Babba Duke in their advertised under their LGBTQ section and it became a meme and screen Factory said we can capitalize on this and that is so Now, Ryan, have you are you familiar Reside Hustle Cinema. I've watched one or two things. I believe he's the one who sent me. They get the bad and
the ugly slip the customs oh nice. Yeah, he does custom slips. Yeah. I've not gotten into any custom slips yet myself. Yeah, that was the first time I've ever done it myself too. I'm a big slipcover guy, and I just refuse to pay one hundred and twenty dollars for slipcover. Yeah. I'm not about that life either, but I'd rather have the real thing. I gonna be honest. Yeah, I'm with you, but that price is rough. Yeah, agreed. There, enough about the Raven
banner sale. Let's talk about more sales. Rika Entertainment has a horror sale going on right now and reminder. One of the best things about Eureka if you are region free, because most of their titles are region B locked, they have free worldwide shipping. Eureka has some really nice slips too. Yep. And they were the ones who did the Kujo box set right yep. And that thing is a glorious release and it's also very expensive and out of print right area, out of frint Yeah yeah. Uh. Then this is
the one you talked about earlier January seventeenth from Keno. We're getting the Missing in Action trilogy with Chuck Norris from Keno Larber. This is coming in a box set. And if you'll notice, uh, they've also they're gonna be putting out individual slipped releases of the three films. Now, how okay, let's compare something like this to Screen Factories release of Halloween six, seven, and eight. Basically, how do you feel do you think they should have
just put the damn slips in this in the big box like that? Uh? No, I I personally don't care. Uh I Yeah, I'm not that kind of person. Uh. The Halloween thing, I the fact that they have come out publicly and said we were not allowed to license these titles unless we sell them all together. I get that. And then the fact that they made them all the hard boxes in that crappy box is because they want people to have them out individually, So I get that one. Yeah,
this one did not need very specific slipcovers in the box. Which one? Will you choose to buy of this or will you not be buying this? I hate Chuck Norris. I yeah, I can't get past Chuck Norris at all. I haven't seen any of these. I've seen Missing Action. It's silly to me. It's that type of movie. I wasn't really raised on eighties action comedy. It's not really an action comedy. It's treated very seriously, but it comes across as very silly. It's just not my thing
overall. Did you like Steal Justice with was Martin Cove? I actually even watched that one. I just got that one in fairly recently. I think I'll like that one more for sure, But it's not the I don't know, it's not the same. I see it as very different genres. I think Chuck Norris took it takes himself too seriously. Texas Rangers about to show up at your door. That's all right, I can take him. This is getting some decent features, at least because these are getting brand new four
K scans on most of them, or the first two the majority. The third one is getting a two K scan. But we are getting some cool commentaries. So the commentary in the first one is by the director moderated by Michael Felcher, an interview with screenwriter James Brunner on the first one, then the trailer. The second one is getting a new commentary by Lance Hoole moderated
by Daniel Kramer. But then the third one, this is the one that's most exciting for me, We get a new commentary by Mike Leader and Arn Venoma. I mean, if you have ever listened to one of their commentaries, they do some incredible work. Normally they do like the Hong Kong Cinema releases that Eureka does and eighty eight Films does. This is gonna be one that I might pick up literally just for that commentary. They are worth it, for sure, Brian says Missing An Action series are some of his better
works. So based on Brian's word, I may actually trust it and try out the other two. I didn't love the first one. I had the third ones pretty tough to get by itself anyways. Right now, well pretty
soon that won't be the case. This is coming on January seventeenth, and Keno just once again showing everybody that they are holding it down because they are kind of owning everything, no, one hundred percent, and they're they're doing if you want to call it slappy seconds whatever, but like Criterion, they do their four k's and in just different studio releases. Now, I totally lost my train and thought I was going to say something that'll come back to
me. I don't. I wouldn't call that sloppy seconds. I'd say doing it better than Criterion in some cases, yeah, maybe not special features out here, but well, I mean that's actually not entirely than either. Some of the ones that they've taken, they've gotten all the special features that have been on the previous releases. Some of them they've added new ones too. It used to be where Keino just put out bare bones discs before like twenty
nineteen, and since then they have really stepped up. I think that they took the whole boutique idea and ran it with it. They're pretty much giving everything at least a commentary, which is really nice. I love Keno Lauri bert Man. For me, I gotta go with like I love Arrow and Second Sight at the moment is my top and Synops films. Man, everybody sleeps on Snaps, but they're just they're hidden gems and their transfers are second to none. Man, I love their transfers. Second Side's still up there
for me. I love them. Now, did you buy the Satan's Little Helper and Creature from Black Lake? I don't have Creature from Black Lake. Satan's Little Helper is on the way. I believe I got it with something else from Grindhouse. I'll get Creature from black eventually. It's just not the type of title that I'm clamoring to have pretty much. Okay, I remember my question, do you sell off your screen Factory Blu rays when the four k's come in? Or do you not upgrade? Or uh? Speaking of
OCD, this is where like we publicly shame me a little bit. I have every release that Screen Factory has ever put out, so you'll get the Blu Rays and the four k's right, I still have every single Blu ray, So okay, people want to shame you, they'll really shame me for this. I've recently just bought a bunch of Screen Factory Blu rays that I have on four K from a friend down Instagram. So I am literally buying
the Blu rays but I have the four k's. But the reason I did it is because I'm a completist, and it's also different artwork, so like completely, you know, because the four k's come with that original artwork and the Blu rays come with commissioned artwork. So people could shame us all we want. You could triple the quadruple if if you want, it's your wallet,
it's your money. Yeah. I for a lot of people don't know I've got There's a Screen Factory Bicell trade group on Facebook and I'm one of the admins in it, and we had somebody today or yesterday that came in and said, hey, I just bought these two titles and it was the old Halloween two and Halloween three Blu rays with slips. He bought them off at eBay or something like that, and he said, hey, this is
one of my first screen Factory picked ups. How did I do? And I was kind of like wholesomely overwhelmed for the first time in a long time in this group because most of the time people are just assholes. I'm like, dude, why do we have to shame new people for all these other reasons. Thankfully, most people responded the right way and basically said, do you like them, then you did good. You don't need our approval. If you enjoy what you have, you did great. If you enjoy it
and you didn't go into debt for it, great decision. That's exactly what we want for you. Yeah, and I get to say your chat inarticular, and I'm not saying no community is perfect. I call it a community. Some people don't. I always do, yeah, physical media community.
But ultimately I yes, I've had issues, like somebody watched a video of mine once and try to tell me how to pronounce synops films, and it was like, you know, seriously, you know, But ultimately I've had really overwhelmingly positive experiences, and for the most part, I hardly ever get shamed for quadruple dipping, Like I have eight copies of some movies, you know, I have six Scarface steal books. I don't four k of it.
And if they come out with more steel books. I'll buy them, you know so, But I feel like for the most part, people don't shame and your chat is overwhelmingly positive. I agree, and I love what my friend cam here just said. It's not that serious. It's just physical media and we all love it. Buy what you want, don't buy what
you don't want. It's not that difficult, amen. I really there's some of these people in here, like nerds of the eighties, and I can't remember the names, but there John Peters is the one John Peters, and then there was another one. But yeah, some really cool Ice Ice is another one, Ice Cue, so really cool people. Anthony is fucking with me. I don't like Charles Bronson, either of you. Charles Bronson fan uh like Death Death Death Death's what the hell is it called the help Wish?
That's Wish? Yeah, so that's Charles brown said. Keino has put out a ton of his stuff. Yep. Yeah, I haven't seen all of them, but I think stunt Rock is that. No, that's not Charles Brownce. That is not Charles Bronson. That's Oz Plantation. I think. Okay, there's some other ones I got from Charles Brownson. One of them is a prison one. I can't remember what it was, but he's okay. I haven't seen enough of him to get a deep comment. That's
my deep comment. Eah uh, we only got a couple left. Actually, Cinematic Sorceress is coming on January thirty first from a company we haven't talked about in a long damn time. Are Bellis Films. They are putting out the films of Nina Minx or Mancus. I don't know how to say her name. I gotta be honest here. This is a major blind spot. I had no idea who this person is. But when this got announced today, everybody is raving about this, saying that this is something that we should
buy because they are incredibly important films. So for interrupting. Are Bellis Films. They are one in the US that have put out Santantango and the what is it called The Dance of the White Mare. I think that that's what it's called. I probably got that title wrong. Somebody will help me in the chat here with that one. They used to have the individuals that now run Deaf Crocodile work with them and ice As. Oh, we were talking
about that a poster documentary yesterday. He's trying to share some information there. It's so funny not to share, though, he said. In this Poster documentary, it was mentioned that Charles Bronson has it in his contract that in his movie Posters, a specific vein is supposed to pop in his bic. They give me serious. Oh, Charles Bronson had to be the most manly man. Oh my god, what and not amazing? Yes, our Bellas Films. The guys from Deaf Crocodile used to work there before they formed Deaf
Crocodile. And this is supposed to be incredible. This is shipping on January thirty first, and I think it was fifty dollars. But what you get in this is a ridiculously large amount of work. You get the Great Sadness of Zohara from nineteen eighty three, Magdalena Viraga from nineteen eighty six, Queen of Diamonds from ninety one, The Bloody Child from ninety six, Phantom Love
from two thousand and seven, and Dissolution from twenty twelve. You got new restorations and remaster on all of the movies, new video interviews, Q and A with a director, new video essays, audio commentaries. This looks ridiculously great. And then there's this little postcard set as well that comes with it. This is a nice looking release. Yeah, very very nice. Your chat again, Kinky and what a genius? Heads me just cracking out laughing
because of the comments. We talked about MVD a little while ago. Their Marquee Collection is releasing Anvil The Story of Anvil. This is a documentary from two thousand and nine about a band that made a big impact and then went away for a long time. And this documentary is Have you seen this one? No? I didn't even know this was MVD Marquee Collection. Yep. This is coming January twentieth and it's got a load of special features on here. This is going to be a very very big release for them. I
can't wait to get this one. I saw this documentary I think the year it came out, and it's fantastic. I love music documentaries, huge into music documentaries. Is it called what is it? Annville The Story of Anvil? Yes? Is he gonna come with a slipper now? It is? Yeah? Nice? So limited edition slipcover for the first pressing. Oh nice, okay? And then that rain man is a four K YEP MVD just quietly starting to crank out some more titles. Again, I'd love to see
it. Yeah, Black Panther is there? What is that? Is that one of them coming here? Just Pan Panther? Yeah? Is that? Never seen that? I don't know what that is? Last thing listed here Again, this is not for me, but full Moon is having their Halloween sale and that's about all of the attention I want to give them because we spent some time on them earlier. Uh usually now we talk about what's coming out next week, just in case you missed it, because I know many
people try to go in and get things quickly if they forgot. So next week from Keno we're getting Kevin Spacey and four K in the usual Suspects, the Word Archive release of Doctor Jekyl and Mister Hyde, Brian de Palma's Dressed to Kill in four K from Keno. Vinegar Syndrome is going to be starting to ship their stuff here pretty soon for the month of October, meaning we can all watch the Texas Chainsaw Masker two and Glorious four K Nope finally comes
out next week in a four K and Blue Relays Blu ray release. Do you know if this deal book will be in stores. Uh yes, it absolutely will be nice because not very many copies, probably probably only like two or three sadly, best guys taking that turn for the worst? Did you like Nope? Uh I did. I thought it was very unique. I hesitate to call it a horror movie. That's what a lot of people have been talking about. It's one of the best horror movies. I mean,
it really wasn't all that scary. There was one tense scene and the rest of it it was just pretty straight sci fi to me. Now, what's with I'm sure you have an opinion on this seven and Foam Moon in particular in their prices, like forty nine to ninety nine, Like for that four K for which one Changeling, I believe it's forty it's thirty nine ninety nine? Oh my god? It right now? I think on Amazon it's like
forty nine or something like that. Well, some of the pre orders they start high, and then when it gets closer to release date, then is it down to forty now on Amazon? Be changeing? Four K on Amazon is fifty four ninety nine As dang, what the fuck? Well, the big thing don't shop on Amazon. I'll say that all day long. Just don't at all. Yeah, this is only forty dollars on Orbit right now. How much is it through Seven's website? Seven? It is? They
got a new website out there, something I do. It is forty five through seven. Okay, all right, so you got to pay or you can get the bundle for fifty nine. And that's got a shirt with it, so yeah, you might as well get a brandy shirt. Nice and you're wearing this the one next to an incredible strain yep, yep. That is from the ray Dennis Steckler box set right here, House of Psychotic Women from seven. This is one of my most anticipated releases that should be here
in my hands actually probably very soon. The last detail. Have you ever seen this one? This is coming from shout Select. No, I'm assuming you come with the slipcover though no, supposedly there is no slipcover on it. And I need that movie. It's such a great movie. That is. I'll get back in it. I get all the shout Select titles. I didn't buy Cool World yet because that thing was like thirty bucks and I was like, I'm not paying that. But at least that one came with
a poster if you got to direct. Okay, yeah, I don't do the posters with screen fact drag a shower, fact drag care less. You know what movie four K is ever wins? I could see that? Yeah, we uh my Patreon, we all just watched that together a couple months ago. Over how did they feel about it? Did they like it? The movie isn't great, but the practical effects are mind blowing. That movie. Yeah, and I would love to see Faculty in four K. Yeah,
me too. That's that's one that was filmed really well. I love the Kevin Williamson script for that. Yeah, really good movie. I don't open until Christmas. I need to get a shirt that says tits on slips. I might be able to make that for you. Yeah. I just that is such a great cover art. I haven't teased merch in a long time, but tonight I'm finally saying something after we get done with this, actually about merch. So we'll talk about that in just a minute. Nice,
that was a good one. Don't hope to tell Christmas. I have never seen it. I've got the DVD from Automa. I've just never put it in. But everybody I know that has seen it, raves about it, so I can't wait to see it for sure. Eves by you coming from Criterion. This is a revelatory film, really really great. People need to check that one out. Count yorga collection. This one is available at Orbit Shipping now from a lot of places. We just talked about Satan's Little
Helper. This is perfect timing for Halloween. The Bat with Vincent Price from Film Detective. This is one of the ones that got one of their new four K scans. Completely recommend that movie. It's Vincent Price, I mean, he's the goat. Basically. Do you like Film Detective. I like them when they have a new four K scan. Otherwise their stuff looks terrible. Don't know what it is now. Vinegar Syndrome, they're pretty massive at
this point. Now, right, they're getting really big, like not Screen Factory or Erro, but I assume they're getting really big with all the partner labels. Oh yeah, well, Vinegar Syndrome is not the partner labels. Those are different companies. Distribution puts them all out, Okay, gotcha, Yeah, I mean I just think of how like how much Vinegar Syndrome has been putting out too though, like each Oh yeah, they're up to I think just over catalog number four hundred. I think they're at like four ten
now something like that. Yeah, and plus their little VSU and VSA and in the Peak Orama and yeah, now pe Karama does that have its own line too? Yep? Gotcha. Most of the old Pea Karama branded titles, they just came as a DVD or a Blu ray. And then about oh two and a half to maybe three years ago, they said, you know what, we should offshoot pe Karama do its own thing now because I bought Fratthouse and that was not Peak Orama, and I didn't know it was
porn. But I guess what do you call that? Do you call it softcore porn or I mean it's not softcore, it's hardcore. I just call it adult films. Adult. Yeah, a story to it? So did it's peak Rama? Does it have all story and stuff like that too? Vinegar Syndrome is not putting out like spank make material for people. Every single thing that they put out has a story, gotcha. And most of them
have special features. So that's the best thing on a lot of these is they they get commentaries from people that made these movies and they they'll remember a lot of the stories surrounding it, but a lot of them also they genuinely are good movies with sex scenes just inserted to sell the movie back then.
Yeah, well there's a lot in there. And then there's other things that are labeled as hardcore that like Corruption is one of the best movies in the Vinegar Syndrome catalog, and it's got penetrative sex and that makes it an adult film. However, it's not like a true hardcore film. It's more like a lynching and psychotic trip over a cliff with some sex involved. And you said you liked Frat House quite a bit, right, it's I mean,
it's funny. Yeah, it's a it's a funny movie. Yeah. I I just did not know what I was expecting when I turned and when you put that in and you're not ready for that. Yeah, that's a big difference. Yeah. I wanted to throw out there for those that don't know. I forgot to mention it. I went right past it because we were talking about Ray Dennis Steckler Columbia Classics Volume three. This is the Sony box set. This is already available at Orbit at least it was earlier, it
might have sold out today. I recommend those Columbia Classics box sets like none other. I think that they are some of the best box sets in physical media. For sure, you don't think those will get into like I know one of them did, but you don't think for the most part, those will get individual releases. I believe we've gotten twelve movies from the first two box sets, and out of those, I think one or two have gotten individual and that one it got a steel book release, and that stel book
is already out of print. Okay, I'm not even that. Yeah, I got The Lawrence of Arabas. The other one is Doctor Strangelove, got a standalone release. Now, so Mitchell Beard had said Corruption is that that is Cauldron, right, No, Corruption is the Vinegar Syndrome title. I was just talking about. It's a Lynchian title. It feels very David Lynch and it's got sex scenes in it. Okay, I was thinking of something else from Cauldron. That's Luccio Folci. It's a contraband contraband. Yeah.
Uh So next week, like I said, Vinegar Syndrome stuff, The rain Maker. I believe that's from Keno The next Blue Underground four K is about to drop. Children Shouldn't Played with Dead Things four K from VCI got delayed. This is not coming out next week. I believe it's de late till November twenty second. The standard release of The Kindred What's That? And Amityville Curse? I Heard is down below under two hundred copies with the slip.
I believe it's actually sold out. I've still got the vinegar syndrome. Sit up, let me take a look. That is wild the Curse? Oh no, it's it's got eighty eight left you all right? So if you're wanting Amiteville Curse with a slip, I would buy it right now. This only had two thousand slips, and the cover art on this was done by none other than Gary pull In, one of the biggest named artists out there
for this stuff. Somebody watching live just texted me to say contraband is different from corruption, just so he can tell you, Yeah, is contraband good? Uh? It's uh, it's a good release. I don't love the movie. It's a pretty boring movie compared to the rest of the Fulcy stuff. And I adore Fulgy, so I would love to say that it's great. And did you like The Kindred? I thought the practical effects were incredible. I actually really do like The Kindred, But I still haven't watched the
Synaps release of it. I have been waiting and waiting and waiting. I'll probably be watching it soon. The last time I watched it was the original release. One of my favorite releases by son Apps is Massacred Central High Mine too. That is maybe my favorite movie that they've ever put out, other than Intruder. I love Intruder. Yeah, Massacred Central High is so unique.
It just it begs to be talked about too. I said, doesn't the noir porn have sex scenes for vinegar syndrome but also has a cut that doesn't a lot of the Pekarama or adult titles they have that. They've got the clean cut and the cut with the sex scenes, so you can watch a lot of the films without the porn inserts. Nice. Uh, what else other than vinegar syndrome? Stuff? Seven lots of stuff about to drop? They got the tails to keep you awake. They've got my Grandpa's a
vampire Dracula versus Frankenstein. There's a couple more at close range from MVD rewind is about to come out finally. I've not seen it since it came out. I don't think it's super young Christopher Walkin, and I don't know. I don't love Sean Penn. That's he's He doesn't really bug me that much. But I don't know that one's iffy for me. I need to see it again for sure. But I love MVD rewind, so eventually I'll probably pick that one up. Yeah, I'm in love with them too, man.
I like the MVD Marque collection too. It's a sleeper. I've got a few loose, I think, yeah, I've got a few, or not really, you don't really care about that stuff. I am complete on more labels than I would like to say. Okay, so you are I I yeah, I'm I've got every Vinegar Syndrome release. I've got every Screen Factory release, I've got every screen Team releasing. I've got every MVD rewind Wait screen Team releasing. Yeah, the ones that did the barn YEP.
But they don't number their spines or anything right, and they don't have a lot of number releases yet too. They probably twenty five or thirty somewhere around there, and then then who's the one who did Jacko. Uh uh? That came from make Flix. Yes, and they don't the same thing as Scream Team. Pretty similar, I mean the same thing about the same number, and I don't believe there's any spine numbers. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yep. Invitation Is that the one that does that say unready
to cut? Uh? Yes, it is getting an unrated and theatrical cut on there. Because I saw the theatrical version and I heard I did not know it was PG thirteen. I the people I trust that went and saw it told me not to waste my money, and I wanted to see it. But then when I heard that, I trusted it because watching movies right now is like a luxury because I've been so busy, and I'm glad I didn't waste on something that I'm probably not gonna love. I'd still like to
see it at some point, but I don't know. Monsieur Hire from Cohen, this is what I'm looking forward to. Do you have any Cohen releases? Oh you are frozen and I'm just talking to nobody. Well, that was funny. Let me keep going until Bob comes back. Don't know what's going on. There Monsieur Hire from Cohen Media. That's one I'm wanting for sure. That movie looks great. The Plague Zombie Trilogy, this is one from seven that's about to come out as well. And then we got in
the Soup. They got some of those slipcovers in it. Diabolic Today and that was something that sold out very quick. I believe the Guar documentary This is Gwar from RLJE is about to come out. The Last Romantic Lover from Cult Epix. That's another one that I'm taking a look at. That one's supposed to be great. Has anybody in the chat seen The Last Romantic Lover and can recommend it? I have been looking at the the Just Jakin titles
and it looked pretty damn good. I'm very curious to see what people think. Miranda July's Kajillionaire. This is one that will a lot of people are excited about. Uh. There is no release on this for two years, and then out of nowhere it comes out with a Blu ray, which is pretty damn cool. Hey there's a Bob did the computer die? Oh? Can't hear you? No? Mike? All right? Well that's fun. Uh. I think he's going to find some headphones or something. We'll go
through these. I missed one the Space series, Gavon, Phantom Ship, and then Devil Man. I believe are all disco tech, if that's right, Ice, I think they are. Oh in Space Shrift, did I say that one? Or did I skip over it? Uh? I don't see it here. Nine to six' four Pinocchio. This is also not coming out the week. This one got delayed from Media Blasters because they are doing a brand new scan from the actual elements, So you are not gonna
be able to get that one. It will be coming out they're hoping by the end of the year, but that seems damn close to me. I feel like they're not gonna be able to do that in time. Sadly, all right, I see Bob trying to get back to being able to hear him. Uh. I think this is the end of it. For the most part. We got a couple coming. I believe these are Media or Movie Box Films or sorry, music Box Films. One of the two. What is the company called I've got it next week? Yeah, yeah,
music Box Films. It's one of the Ocean Partner labels. Death to Metal. This is a documentary coming out. I believe Becky from Ronan Flicks that one's finally about to drop. We talked about that fairly recently. There is some nipples I should scroll up quickly. Oops, and uh yeah, that is it for the week. Still no microphone, damn no Dead Sea life. He is not muted on my end. He is good to go, and that sucks because we got our list to go through. Hopefully he's trying
to come back in. We'll see one thing. I was gonna share the Criterion shirts. What's up? Still can't hear you? Nope, let me share the Criterion tab and uh, Bob may not be able to speak for the rest of the show. So these are the Criterion shirts they just released and they look fricking incredible. I gotta be honest. One of the ones that people are gonna be wanting. I'm betting. I think KB mentioned this one earlier, this Gangster Tea, and then of course the back has the
Criterion channel logo. Another one that I think is gonna do very well pre Code and they've still got the Criterion channel logo on the back. These are pretty damn cool. And then the avant garde one check check this one out. It's backwards because it's avant garde. I love these, I says, do you have a Bluetooth connected? Maybe that's blocking it? Don't know what would be going on there. Dead Sea Life wants you to act out your feelings like we're penn and Teller. Did the laptop die? Is that why
it blacked out on us? All right? Uh so that is it for stuff that's coming out? Thought I said, Olive Garden avant garde. Okay, this is the perfect time to talk about it. Since he's gone. I will mention Today is October twentieth, which means it is normally the last day of the month to sign up for the Patreon to be able to be
entered into this month's giveaway for the VIP level. However, because it's a Thursday, I'm gonna give everybody tomorrow too, So you got tonight and tomorrow to sign up for the Patreon if you want to be entered in this month's free boutique giveaway. I've got a pile of stuff over there ready to go to the next winter. This is the time to sign up if you've been considering it. Another reason we are all watching a film together on Sunday night
if you want to be able to vote on it. In fact, I can actually share what we're gonna be watching because you can still vote on our poll for this month if you sign up right now. I put up a poll every month for our watch along. We are watching this Sunday night at I think it's nine pm Eastern, yep, nine pm Eastern. We're gonna watch this in the discord. I stream the movie for everybody. We can talk over it. We can text in the chat. This is the current
poll. Let me get the screen shared we are are looking at. We are probably gonna be watching The Toxic Avenger this weekend. These are all films that were on my October watch list, my calendar, and I found these all streaming so I can share with everybody. I voted for Housebound because I asked my wife what she wanted to watch, and that's what she picked. Even though we're gonna watch all of these at some point. So if you want to watch with the entire community hanging out, this is the time to
sign up for the Patreon Still nothing, are are you back good? The Wi Fi went out. The power went out in the house. Sorry, Oh damn. The whole power went out crazy. It for like, it flickered on and off for like two seconds, and it fucked the whole Wi Fi shut down after that, Hey you're back. That's awesome. I apologize, Man, it could be worse. I'm always worried about that happening when I'm on a stream, and it finally happened. I'm glad to be the
inaugural stream for it. We were talking about the Patreon. I do a giveaway for my highest tier every month, and usually the last day to sign ups twentieth, but we're giving them an extra day so anybody that signs up by tomorrow will be entered to the random drawing. And then we're watching a movie together Sunday night on our discord and it looks like it's gonna be The Toxic Avenger. Have you ever seen The Toxic Avenger? I haven't, but
I knowed freaking now I'm all over the place. But what louisbo put that out? Trauma? It's a trauma film. Yeah, yeah, it's in one of my favorite genres, which is goofy movies. That's what I call them, or like Milt movies. They're just slimy movies. Love stuff like that, and now it looks like you're frozen again. Oh no, I'm good. Yeah, I know. I saw that you were still alive, but you were just holding perfectly still. Yeah, looking at the chat,
I was sorry. So many great jokes. Stan wants to know if you know American sign language, Dead Sea Life wants you to act like tell her holler notes, want you to hold up your top five list. It was terrible. I can't dances, Bob. We hardly knew ye you were called silent Bob. Love it all right, let's get into our top five. Then we were talking about what to watch or not what to watch? What's to talk about for tonight? And Bob suggested top five home invasion horror films?
Mm hm, what's up with home evasion horror? Is that something you love? I do? I do? I love It's probably one of my what do you want to call it? Sub genre? Probably right? Yeah? So I love that. Probably bullying subgenre would be another one. And I love like a subgenre of addiction. I'm big into that stuff too, so anything that was kind of relatable to me. But I was like when I was a freshman, though, bullying was big, so I was like five feet not even I was short as shit, So you get picked on
easily or target, so I had to learn how to fight. So I love it when I watch a bully get their ass kicked, right. I got picked on on the opposite end. I was a giant and super fucking fat, so I was an easy target because you can't miss me. Yep, yeah, and so did you. So you got picked down a decent amount too. In high school, oh, like crazy, I was in the marching band. I got spit on multiple times while I was marching by the people behind me. I've got, you know, stuff knocked out of
my hands repeatedly. I got tripped and pushed over. Yeah, I can't stand it. Whole invasion though. I love this stuff because it's usually not always, but usually the most realistic type of horror movies. To me, it's something that with a family with two kids and a wife scares the absolute shit out of me because there's nothing stopping this from happening. I've got a house alarm, but there's like nineteen ways around that that doesn't mean jack shit.
Yeah, and I know some of my picks, may I don't. I didn't pull them out because I've got seventy percent of my collection back stuff, so I just got them written down kind of. But yeah, so how did you want to do it? Did you want to do it first? I'm a I'm a cheater when it comes to the top five list, and I always do it at least one honorable mention? Did you give any extras on your list? Oh? I could easily have an honorable mention?
Yeah, for sure. Throwing out there, what's an honorable mention? Like, if we were doing six, what would your number six be? I might say like panic Room. Panic Room is great. I don't know if it would make my top five. But if I say another one, then there goes to pot right. I'm like, I gotta leave panic Room on there, and I'll stick with that is my number six, I think, but that that might be wrong because actually, no, I'm taking this off.
I'm going with high tension is like number six probably interesting. I don't know that i'd really call that a home invasion horror all together, because there's a lot that happens in that movie. Yeah, yeah, some people call it home invasion, but yeah, I get that. Okay, So now we got two honorable mentions from you. My honorable mention is a recent one and a filmmaker we just talked about. I'm gonna throw out the movie US from Jordan Peel as one of my favorite home invasion horror films. And the
reason I love that one is because we get to see multiple homes. I like that we get to see this invasion occur across the original home with the family that's you know, being chased, but then we get the the other more rich fanily, I guess they're both kind of rich. But the crazy horror film or not horror film, the crazy horror supertension double story house that we go to after the original one. Yeah, it's it's beautiful and Elizabeth Moss is crazy in that. Love that movie. Love Us, all right?
You want to share your number five? First? Yeah? Oh god, this is tough. I might have to say panic Room. But now that I said that, now I'm trying to think, like, I'm gonna go US is my number five? I stole it? Anything else about Us that you love that you want to share? Oh? I love I just I honestly, it's my favorite Peel movie. I liked it more than Get Out. To be honest with you, Uh, I like the I like
that it feels like a horror movie. It almost like a slasher in a way, not really, but it really feels like a horror movie, straightforward horror. So I really like that. And it's violent, It's very violent. I think it's super creepy. And Lupita is that how you pronounce? Not only is she gorgeous, but she's a great actress in both roles for sure? Yes, absolutely, And it's such a like it can be a confusing movie. I need to still rewatch it again. It's a good one
and the four K looks great too. I gotta watch it. What's your number four or five? My number five? You mentioned high tension. I love me some of the French new wave extreme films that started out with high tension. And I guess yours. I think you should wait because I may have more than one on my list. Oh okay, and this is not the one that you were gonna guess. The one that you were gonna guess might be up higher. Actually, my number five is the movie Them.
I've never seen that. Them is about a woman and a man that are living in a house that is being worked on and it's this massive house out in the middle of nowhere and they are just suddenly getting fucked with by a couple of people. And it is full of some of the best dread in home invasion horror that I have ever seen. There are logical scenes where you would think in that situation, you know, that's exactly what I would do,
And in movies like this, that's what I want to see. I want to see something that is not like, no, just turn around and hide in the closet, You'll be fine, or something like that. I want to see that movie where they turn around and hide in the closet and then something messed up happens to them. I love the movie Them. It is one that does not get enough love because I don't think it's gotten any Blu Ray release in the US. For sure. I believe there's a Blu
ray release from the UK that I have. Them is a crazy film that not enough people have seen any look at that. Brian even says, that's an unrelenting one. Highly highly recommend to anybody that likes this genre or is afraid of the genre, because it will just reiterate that for you. What do you got for number four? Yeah? So I realized I forgot, I could have subs doubt my number five, so I'm going to given and can I give an extra? Yeah, funny Games, But I've never seen
the original version the Criterion. I've only seen the Naomi Wats one. But that's because Naomi Watts is my entire life and I love Tim Roth. So yeah, and that's such a it's funny. Games is disturbing. That really is being violent. Well it's violent but without being gory. And the original version it's the exact same movie. It's a scene for scene remake. Yeah, and just I heard the same thing with good Night Mommy, I think, or something like that. It's it's similar. It's not nearly as good
as the original. That's what I've heard. But okay, so my number four, I'm gonna go with sip this back over. But I think I got my number four. Let's go with Don't Breathe. It's almost made my list good choice. Don't Breathe is so good. It's much better than the sequel. But I don't hate the sequel the way others do. But the original is so good, so creepy. I really like the cast in that one too. I can't remember the actor's name from from the Thirteen Reasons Why,
But I never remember his name. I just know he's in everything. Yeah, I like that movie. I love I Love n Dylan something Dylan Dylan. I think you're right, Dylan. Now, I still don't know it. He just looks like a Dylan that's probably not even his name. No idea. Somebody in the common section, yeah, somebody the comments, please help Dylan Minnette. I feel like or Minnette, but that could be a different guy. But yes, don't breathe. I was so upset when
something happened to him. But it's it's just so it's so creepy, it's so good. The twist is pretty crazy. I give that movie like four and a half stars that loved it. Creepy kind of doesn't really sell this whole movie. I feel like it's creepy most of the movie. And then we get to the climax where there is a little bit of a twist and it goes from creek creepy to like, oh, holy shit type of moment. And the first time I saw that, look at that. Stan Geezy
says, you are correct, Dylan Minette. Yeah, yeah, this movie kind of takes it up a notch at the end. I agree with you. The first one is leagues better than the second one. The biggest thing for me, I don't think the second one is as bad as people say. I just wish it wasn't a Don't Breathe sequel because it's so weird to have the bad guy from the first movie be turned into the hero in the second. Yeah, it's such an odd take. And that's the thing,
kind of like Halloween ends. I feel like I enjoyed it. I what I don't like is I like that movie by itself. Yep, Don't Breathe too. And so I think some of these movies. Now, Black Christmas twenty nineteen is just shit all around. But I think like Blumhouse needs Blumhouse and whoever was part of Black Christmas in general, that should have been a standalone film. Just make a film about the way they wanted to do it. They shouldn't have called it Black Christmas though, like Black Christmas, not
Black Magic Goo. But I will stand up for Black Christmas two thousand and six because it's fantastic. I love Black Christmas two those six. That's a great slasher. It's there's something very creepy movie too. That's in fact, that's a good home invasion horror movie. Yep, yeah, that's that's that can be on there. Here's one. I got a question if this If you guys, this is probably not home Invasion? Is it? Absolutely?
It is? And uh not to give anything away. A friend of the channel, Jeremy Long, the comedian that I'm on here with a lot, he knows the screenwriter for this and I might be talking to him on the channel here soon. I love that movie. That is absolutely a home invasion Horphiel. Okay, Better watch Out would be on my list if I but I won't, but that would have been on there if if if yeah, if people consider that home invasion. So I love Better watch Out. Yeah,
Better watch Out is great? Uh yeah, great choice though on Don't Breathe? Uh yeah, really good list so far. Great job. My number four though, is a movie I kind of wish I would have grabbed this one. Is it close? Not close enough? Uh? The Cult Epics release of this is fantastic. But this is I believe a German films. Do you know what angst is? No? I never what is it a n GST? Look at this list I got It's just I Love That is from my stream on Tuesday, and now this I got titles up the
end. You got a lot of homework, as is a harrowing title about a guy. A g it's like our word angsty aunst is about a guy that gets out of prison. I believe it's been about a year and a half since I saw it. He either gets out of prison or leaves a
house or something like that. I think it's prison and basically just chooses a house at random and comes in very quietly, and the whole movie is done pretty much in real time, and it's just him brutally attacking the woman in this house and she gets away almost He does this thing where he uses either a sheet or a bath towel or something and ties her in an awkward position
to a door knob so that he can go do other things. And you get stuck staring at this woman trying to free herself, and then there's blood everywhere. It's one of those movies that is just like unrelenting the entire time, and then it keeps amping up and you're like, I need a break, and when you finally get, you like, God, I really need this to stop soon. It's just over, just all of a sudden over and it's such a great, great acted film, one of the best extreme
films of all time. It is uh it's not like U torture porn or anything like that, but it's very, very gory for sure. Lots of blood I can handle. I love that stuff. So yeah, great great movie though, And it's on Blu Ray. Assume right, it was on Blu Ray from Colt Epics. I'm not sure. It's supposedly it was going out of print. I'm not sure if it ever did, but there was rumors that was going out of print. I think we're on your number three.
I will check Amazon while you're looking that up. Number three. This is three to two to one is tough for me. I'm going to go, oh geez uh, all right, I'm gonna go with your next. Good choice is my number three? That number two. The people aren't gonna like my number two, but I like Curio, I like your next. I love your next. Oh my god, I have another freaking honorable mention. But if I give it away now, it would be a spoiler.
H So your next is awesome. One of my best friends, though he's he always tells me he would be very curious to see how it would have played out if it was just the family versus the three of them. No twists, yeap, just straightforward, and I'm always curious about that too. But what I love about Your Next is it's like it's something I love but hate at the same time. So I hate when they d mask people in movies because that person lose all its power as soon as the mask comes off.
I'm like, Oh, it's just a human being and the person's not scary, right. But what something's super cool about Your Next is when he goes he walks through that window and steps on the nail and it's like slow motion and then he's like ah and he's freaking out. It's like and he's in that moment. It's just a very realistic, like home invasion movie. It feels realistic for like a very violent slasher, but if it's called slash or whatever, but it's just yeah, when he steps on that and like
the way I just She's one of my favorite final girls. Sharon Evenson is incredible, but Aaron is amazing. She kicks fucking ass in that movie. It's a really good one. I love that movie through and through I think it had some really great kills in it. And the acting in this is great. The script is incredible. But the thing about this that when everybody's pouring love onto this, I want to always throw out there. The setting for this film is so perfect. It sets up everything beautifully. It's got
a great setting for everybody walk around in. It just has that feeling of like, damn, I feel like I'm there when I'm watching this movie. Yeah, yes, yeah, absolutely, Like how he's like they find pissing water bottles and stuff, so they've been living in the house. Like. The attention to detail is always fun, and there's some great isn't the one who gets stabbed with a bunch of screwdrivers at the end. Isn't he the director of VHS or one of the writers or something something like that. He's
connected to it. Yeah, And ty West is the one that took the crossbow in the eye in the beginning looking the window. So yeah, pretty cool stuff. The blender kill wouldn't work, Oh well, that's they said that blender kill wouldn't work, But that blender kill is awesome. Did you like the blender kill? I? I yes, I agree it what it worked, But yes, It is pretty damn great. I'm not sure how many people in the chat have seen this, but I wanted to show Ice
some love here. This is an incredible comment. Wait Until Dark, starring Audrey Hepburn, is not really horror. It's more of like a psychological thriller. But there is an incredible jump scare in this movie. Wait Until Dark is one of the best home invasion films ever. Absolutely absolutely remarkable movie. I gotta see that one, Okay. My number three is for people that
watch my channel a lot. Probably sort of a given because you know the type of things I love, and I am a Mike Flannistan and my number three is hush. I love that movieable mention. I was just gonna say that, but I was like, wait, he might pull it. I had to pull it. This movie is one that I loved from the day
that it dropped. I love that the acting and this is great. I love that they use the it's not really a twist, but the trope of her being deaf to really give the tention of this where the killer can be as loud as he fucking wants and she has no clue. She has to feel everything. And yeah, this movie is genuinely terrified. When you put yourself empathetically in her shoes, you're fucked. There's no way out from a
situation like this. And she fights her ass off in this movie. I felt so bad for her friend, like I just because she wasn't a bit. She was like, you care for herself anytime you can make us feel something. I genuinely like I could feel her friend getting stabbed, like hed good job. And then the boyfriend. That scene was pretty crazy too. Some great Yeah hushes Hush is great. Love that one. That's one I'm dying for us to get on Blue but alas it's stuck on Netflix. And
and what did he What else has he directed? But the guy who was in the mask in Hush was in Belco Experiment. Oh so yeah, Mike Flanninggan has done Oculus, He's done Doctor Sleep, He's done the Netflix, the long Form. He did the Haunting of Hillhouse, this Haunting of Blind Manner. He did the Midnight Club that just dropped. He did my favorite thing from him ever, Midnight Mass That is I think his masterpiece for sure. Yeah, oh, I'm forgetting other major things. He did. Gerald's
Game. Gerald's Game is incredible. Which is you could arguse another Home Invasion movie. Yeah, I got to check out his other stuff. All right, what's next for us? Number two? This is the one that's going to Actually, no, I'm gonna switch it. This that's gonna be my number one, last minute switch. This is gonna be The Collector. I love The Collector. Now, I honestly like the Collection more, but the Collection is not Home Invasion. So the Collector, though, how original of
an idea in my opinion? Okay, is it to have somebody break into a house to mug the to like a thief, you know, rob the family family and then he breaks in and he realizes, oh my god, there's somebody here, like with a mentality like Jigsaw, like crazy, just absolutely brilliant it is. It's done so well. I love that movie. I think the Collector. I think he is a great villain, and it's just it's incredible, It's perfect. I am. I'm in full agreement.
I do think both of the films are great. The main thing I want to touch on is how distraught I am that we got approval for a third film. They went to go start and then stuff got I think the set got robbed or something like that, and because of that, they didn't have enough funding to finish, and then you said, eh, fuck it, we're done. I didn't know why they cancel. I knew they canceled the third one. I didn't know if it was COVID or directorial differences with the
studio rob. I believe some of their stuff got robbed and they did not have any way financially to recover. I think it'll happen eventually, right you think no, I don't think there's enough money in that franchise. Yeah. I believe it was supposed to be called The collect did if I remember, right? Did? Yeah? Yeah? They I thought they were like a week into filming too. Uh, yeah, I think they it was. I feel like there's only four days, four or five days something like that.
That breaks my heart to hear that news, though even more Stan says Doctor Sleep pulled it off, especially the extended version, and I've never agreed with you more Stan. I think Doctor Sleep is a modern masterpiece as well, and the extended version gives so much better context. Love that damn movie. Alan said it is. They invaded the Collector's home in the second one. It's like a reverse home invasion, I says, what would you classify
siege not home invasion? No, that is I mean technically you could kind of classify it as a siege film. It's it's them. It's funny that it's called siege, but it's somebody holding up and just trying to hold on tight and not lose ground. So yeah, siege or stronghold, something like that great great movie. Are we on me for number two? Know, I gotta look at my list, my number two. This is the other French extreme, So now you can answer for me. What is my number
two? Actually realized I don't think the one I was thinking of is French. Which one I was. It's definitely not French, but Aero video put it out Incident in the ghost Land. Oh no, I that might be French. I've still not seen that one. Actually, I'm talking about the French movie Inside Inside with the cover and the pregnant woman. Correct, yes, okay, I got I gotta buy that. That's not on Blu ray though, is it. It's not on Blu ray in the States. I
think you got a Blu ray and the UK. I have to see Inside. People have been because I've been talking about doing a triple feature of raw Martyrs and a Serbian film, and people are like, include Inside in that. Yeah, I fully agree. Inside is a harrowing film and also now you can add them as another French extreme but yeah, Inside is about a lady who is going to be having a baby tomorrow, literally and it is a Christmas movie of all things. She's gonna be having a baby on Christmas,
and she's a photographer. And as she said, I'm not gonna spoil anything because everything that happens the story of the movie, you know, in the first three minutes, so it's not even a spoiler. She is sitting in her house and she sees something move outside, but because it's France and it's winter, she can't quite see. So she takes a picture with their camera to see if the flash will show it off. And what she doesn't see it, but we see that there's actually somebody outside her house, and
this person comes and just brutally attacks her. Inside is a remarkable movie in the fact that it is a very extreme film, but because of the French New Wave, it's a very realistic extreme film. There's so much blood. There is a very unexpected scene very similar to what my number one is, and what I believe your number one is is well, oh wow, okay, all right. Uh this first one though, is uh inside is uh there's a shocking scene involving the character's mother, and uh, yeah, it's
it's great Ben's comment. And I actually like Brightburn. I don't know if it's it's at the correct name. It might be one word. Yeah, but that has the actress from Sorority Row. I forget now her name Brianna Evagan, and I know some people she's playing. I love Brianna Evagan. I think she's dropped out gorgeous. But bright Burn is good. The tiger invades a house. That's sorry I cut you off. I was just no, you're fine. I was pretty much done, and now I'm dying to
hear you number one. I need to see that. But okay, I'll just get right into it. So no, I won't. I'll tease it first. But my number one, it's a sequel to a movie. Uh, it's probably mine. And the reason I'm going with this one is because there's elements of I have two sisters and Ryan, you have a sister. So I'm thinking you'll understand why this one means a lot to me, But I have to go with The Strangers Pray at Night, And you're going with the sequel, No, the first one, the first one, Okay,
So I'm going with the sequel, The Strangers Pray at Night. The Strangers would be an honorable mention or in my top five. It's so hard to do. But the reason I like the sequel so much more. I like that we get a little bit more characters. I like that we get to branch out outside of a home. But I have two sisters and so the scene like the brother's sister element really hits home with me. And I'm really close with my father, so the scene where he's got to leave his dad
just breaks my heart. And the like the daughter has to watch your mother get stabbed right in front of her. So there's a lot of things that like hit home for me, and that one. Love the original, but I'll let you touch on that one. But I just even this one it deserves a lot more attention. Yeah, it gets a little like silly at the end with the car and the explosion. That's probably the only thing I
could say. He probably should have been dead, But I think that the movie also pays homage to Texas, chainsaw masker at the end with the swinging bat kind of and her in the truck. So some people could say it copied, I'd say it was paying respect. But I thought that was pretty cool. But yeah, so I'm going with the sequel because it's just relatable to me. I love it. And that pool scene is one of the
like you can't talk about the sequel that bringing up the pool scene. I mean this song and h and he's like, I killed one of yours, how do you like? And they just start swinging and that's the scene. He gets stabbed in the pool, but she ends up, So I'm spoiling the fuck out of this one. But she ends up, you know, helping him. So uh yeah, sorry spoilers, but it's a great movie. The big thing I think people were let down on this and kind of
shit on it for a while because it's nowhere near like the original. It's a very very different film, but that's okay. Innovation from a series is not a bad thing. That doesn't make it a bad sequel. And eighties so like the music and the colors are colors are greatness movie, and I think Joanne Roberts directed that Johan That sounds right, I think so. And he directed a movie called f and some other stuff, but I think he did a pretty darn good job. Yeah, it's a good movie. I
am a big fan of the original one. I saw this in theaters at a time when I was just living on my own for the first time of my life. And this is not a good movie to watch when you're living all alone for the first time in your life. And I lived not in a foresty area, but in a very isolated desert area. And because of that, this movie scared the shit out. I mean, actually, KB, who was in the chat earlier, this was the one that I talked
about big time on discussion List and yeah, The Strangers. The big thing that got me about this is how realistic and subdistic this movie is because it's just you were home. That's the only reason that we came here to fuck you up, which is so hard to fathom and work around because there's nothing you can do about that. You gotta be somewhere. And uh, yeah, Liv Tyler great in this movie. I will say, Uh, the the shocking scene where you get the guy from that's all. Uh, it's
always sunny in Philadelphia. He's showing up there to help his friend out. Suddenly it's taken out the shotgun blast of the gut like one of the worst. He's split basically towards his head wide open. I thought, yeah, yeah, it's been a while, I haven't seen i'n't watched this in a few years for sure. Yeah, completely worth it. Uh. Not one that is easy to watch, especially if you scare easy, but man, uh I like this. One of the other reasons I wanted to bring up
there's not a lot of like tension rising music. Uh. There's one of the scenes that the the main guy that's part of the Strangers, he just sort of appears in the background of a scene. Liv Tyler can't see him, but the audience can't, and as she is moving around and he hides behind her in one of the camera shots, he ducks out and leaves the room. And because of that, that is the like he can just be silent and maneuver himself around this house and go on undetected. It's scary at
shit that that's happening. We don't need tension rising music or like paranormal activity or the bass is just the way that makes sense Yeah, Yeah, this movie is great. Yeah, that's his name. Holland Oates says, I haven't seen the film in a long time. Glenn Howardton is in the film. He's not in it for long and he dies of horrible death. Oh he's the one that shut in head. Yeah, he's the guy from It's Always Sunny in Phildelphia. I think is it Scott Speedman or br Yes,
Scott Speedman's the hud Well fiance or not fiance because boyfriend at least. And that's the thing too about strangers is we're with these couple, this couple, these couples, this couple going through issues in a relationship and they're trying to work it out, and they get this crap that happens, and I'm like, no, Tamra's not home, bitch, like go go away, like
it gets I is Tamra home? So creepy, it's so creepy. And it's just a simple little sentence the guy that you're right, no music, The scene where he's standing behind her in the kitchen, that's the one that that's I mean, you and people got scared shitless of just two people standing on the screen together. Ben says, you guys ever see those stories where people find other people living in their house, Like the guy in Japan found out a girl who was living in the top shelf of his pantry after he
set up a camera. Have you read about any of these before, seen any other movies? But I feel like I've listened to some podcasts where there's like some pretty crazy stories out there and stuff like that. I'm into that stuff. I would love to hear stories about that. That's pretty cool. So I'm trying to look up my collection in my blu ray dot com app. There is a movie and it came out from Warner Archive, and I can't remember the name of it. Does somebody else? Ragnar says, Damn,
I wish I could find Japanese women living in my pantry. I just wish I could find any woman living in my pantry. Are you kidding me? Oh my gosh, Ragnar, you need that like emblazoned on your tombstone when you go out. That was amazing. Uh, why can't I think of the name of it? Warner Archive put out a title, Uh, and it's literally about this. It's about a kid that well, I say
kid, but he's like a teenager. And he accidentally kills a girl and he goes home and the cops are coming, and his mom has him hide in a pantry behind this little false entry area and then like plasters over it and it is able to give him food and stuff, but they leave him in here for years, and eventually the family leaves and leaves the guy living there, and another family moves into the house and he's still in there and
he goes out at night and steals food. It is a wonderful movie, but it's made for TV, so it's very uh, it's very tame. It's not scary. It's not really okay, but is he like, what is this movie called? Uh, bad Ronald? Thank you Terry? It is called bad Ronald pen List, thank you guys. Brain fart galore on that one? Is that? Because that's a blu ray from Warner Archive? Oh my god? Really is it like decent? Though? Oh? Yeah, it's a it's a good movie. It's a very good movie. Ronald
is great. It's not really a home invasion movie, but yeah, is it's no, not really, it's more like uh uh psychological PTSD kind of and this was their son, this was a son and they leave him in the house and you find out why. There's a lot of reasons that they for all that it's this weird pantry and it's got like a shelf inside and under it. They made this little door that they could open out, but he closes it from the inside, so it's unassuming. You can't see that
there's anything there. Ben said Texas Chainsaw at three D. Yeah, and Spaghetti did say, I think I said that it is a made for TV film, so it's there's no like Gore or anything like that. Yeah, it's not. Okay. I like Warner Archive too. Yeah, they do really great work. Yeah, they get se and Ronald is a good movie for sure, So that sound blu ray then and Warner Archive by like because none other stuff goes out of print. They don't do slips, so you
don't have to worry about that stuff. Yeah, Spaghetti says, it's more bizarre weird than scary and gory. I gotta say one thing here, let me see if I can pull it up. What do you got? You got like forty two people in the chat right now, roughly almost fifty Yeah,
almost fifty people. Okay, So I love how you could be four hours into a stream and you still have all the people with It's just it's the greatest feeling as a host, I'm sure for you, because you know that people actually like your content and enjoy and I love hanging out with them. Man, Like the chat makes these things great. I agree. It has been to help to last tonight. So honestly, that's the thing. Though. I could talk for six hours about movies me too. We've done
it. Anything else on your channel, anything you want to tease coming up that you want to send people to. On Monday, I've got an all women's stream coming up for Top five Horror from nineteen eighty to nineteen ninety nine. So we did two thousand to present. Now we're doing nineteen eighty nine, and then the next day I'm going to be doing a Halloween franchise ranking with a couple of friends of mine, So we're going to go through that and then it'd be a good week. Yeah. So I think that's about
it, and then yeah, some other stuff. But I've been doing so damn much with live streams. Man, how many live streams do you do week? I do a live stream every Thursday and then another stream every other Tuesday. But I do interviews like crazy. Yeah. I do two or three interviews a week usually. Wow, Okay, I edit those and post those. Yeah, that's awesome. So do you put these up on your podcast too? Or no? Oh yeah, this will be up on the
podcast in just a few hours. I'll probably listen while I'm driving. Do you ever listen to your stuff or rewatch your stuff back some some of my interviews, because I actually learn a lot from those, And when you're in the moment, I've just kind of given all of that energy back to the other people, and so I go back to find out what I missed when I was kind of zoning into their energy. Yeah. Yeah, so I see Flip said you're still alive. Good lord. Yeah. And this isn't
even the longest one. I mean when Will came on and then Jeremy came on and had to beat his goal. I think one week I was four hours in two minutes, and then the next week was four and a half hours. It's a five hours, guys, here we go. Jeremy said, I'm coming on here to set the record, and then he did holland out said Bob is listening to make sure shopping cart is accurate? That is so true. Like I said, today, well yeah, well now it's Friday here Today, Friday, the twenty first, is the last day to
sign up for the Patreon for the month. Thank you to all these people that make the discord amazing. You guys are incredible. I love spending every single day in there. Our discord is so fricking active. I get literally hundreds and hundreds of messages in there every day. It's a conversation that never ends. The other thing that I said I was gonna mention, I am
finally saying here. I've got new tea's coming out on my merch store coming out in the next month, and the first two designs that are going up, and I got a third one that I'm still working on, but I've got three total. They're pretty damn amazing. So pay attention to that is right up your alley. But I think that's all I got. Anything else you want to shout out before we hit out? No, I mean yeah, I had a ton of fun. So if you're not subscribed to my
channel, please do subscribe it. Hit me up on Instagram. That's like he said, I'm very active on Instagram. I have no life outside of work in movies. I just watch movies and I work so and do live streams. So yeah, hit me up join a live stream and let me know you found me on Ryan's channel and we'll chat. You know, it'll be a lot of fun. So I'm looking forward to being I'm in here sometimes. I try to get in here as much as I can. So
I didn't even know. I hit you up on Instagram because of your podcast, and you were like, it's it. I do it live on Thursdays, and I was like, what the fuck? I didn't know that. So every single Thursday. I've done this now since last August, every single week and I've only missed once and that's because I was in La and and you did one with Garrett Yep. Yeah, yeah that was fun. I was there for that, talking a lot of horror movies in that one too.
Yeah. Yeah, what's crazy. The first seven months of me doing this, I did it alone the entire time, and then I went, you know, I wonder if it'd be fun to have some guests on here with me. Yeah, And it's so cool how you get the same people like I imagine Brian and John and many others are always in every Thursday, like clackwork Yep. Yeah, Holland's one of those people. Gus is another
one. I got a buddy, Magic Can's. A couple of them came in here and it's almost like I can't start to stream without them being in there. Yeah, it's like family, you know what I mean, very much as family. And what's crazy, this last year, I've met like seven of them in person. That's awesome. I've hung out with so many people this year. I mean I just had one prize me in a movie theater and spent all day with me. I mean, that's that doesn't happen.
That's incredible. That's so cool. That is awesome. I was in downtown Chicago with my buddy Magic canc who's probably in the checks. He texts me, He's like, we can't hear you, dickhead. Yeah. So yeah, anyways, we went on Monday downtown and the owner of the store was like, yeah, I had a customer come in here and say like he saw your channel and came into the store and so that was really cool because I gave his like his business to shout out so stuff like that's really
cool. Bro. I just said time for Ryan Cohn yeah, I'm gonna host a convention. I guess Gus just subbed. Thanks. Yeah, that's awesome. Glad to get new sober three. Yeah, no, it's always nice. I always say like, I'd love doing live streams. But when I'll host a stream and sometimes I'll get a message and from a friend and it'll be like I got three new subs last night afterwards, and it's like, that's that's slightly the idea behind these. You know, I love chatting
and stuff like that, but it helps I feel like everyone. Sometimes I might bring people in that have never met you, and then I know people have never met me, and if they like our content and vice versa, you know, so maybe they'll sub up. So yeah, obviously want to help each other grow. I love doing that with the community. I don't think anyone's out to get themselves and if they are, fuck those people, so they'll never be on my channel anyways. Yeah, exactly, So I
appreciate you having me on. Man, this was a blast. Look, this was my longest live stream. I broke my records ever. Yeah, I've never done it was like three and a half hours. I'd be nice. Yeah we're almost at four now. Yeah, I mean, I did one with Melvin e CEO and Alex in it with like three and a half hours. But look when you're when you're streaming, and especially if it's entertaining like Pop's movie Dungeon. I love that guy. He did a five and
a half hour stream once. Yeah, So I mean, and we were in the chat for the whole five and a half hours, me and Holland just hanging out until like three in them more. But if you're having fun, you know whatever, right, I mean, And time flies by, so I don't know, and when people for the reason I do this, I get so much energy from this. I mean I will. I don't know what time you work. I work super damn early in the morning, like I got it. I'm gonna be starting work in five and a half
hours, and I'm just fine. This is totally great. I get I gotta get up at like seven am, but I'm before I when this ends, I'm gonna watch a movie I think Evil Dead remake, which I've seen, but it's my day twenty one for Halloween, so I'm gonna throw out there a hot take. And we just talked about this a couple of weeks ago. It's my favorite Evil Dead film. Really, okay? Nice? Yeah, I respect that and it might be my no, you know what, it is my favorite Evil Dead film because I see take a quick pee
break time for three more hours? Did you see that one? And I'm sure Bob got a burst of energy from the even banner since I did. I got hard, I got what hard for Victor Crowley. Victor Crowley got me slightly. It shall be, but it happens to the best of us. That was the how many of those do you have? Uh? Well, the sad thing is and I'll probably show this off air, and actually
it's going in the video that's going up tomorrow. I've got what I call my shame closet, So I've got all my boutiques that fit on my shelves, and then I've got a closet that is just full of stacks and stacks right now that is embarrassing. So I've got four Raven banner over here, and then like seven more that don't fit in the closet. Can you show the Victor Crowley one one and the like the underneath it too? Yeah, of course the underneath is nowhere near as excited. Might as well go seven
more minutes and make it four hours. Make it four hours on the dots, let me all go solo again. This is the main slip, really great art. And then this is the back that it's just I'm drooling. I just found drewel all over the sheet of paper. And then it's just the regular believe okay, it's a regular one, gotcha. Nothing special under this one. For some reason, I wish there was, but the autopsy of Jane Doe showed that one once more. If you don't mind, sorry,
I mean it's good. I have to go like this, oh, because it's it's yeah, and that's okay to show though, right there. Yeah, gore is fine. Look how I just did that without touching it. That was awesome. And then oh yeah I did show the back last time. And then actually, when you take this off, wait, let me see if there's nipples on this one. Damn it, you've gotten her in the body bag. Wow. Yeah, And I heard so a lot of I think several people pulled that in my top five stream for two thousand
to present. She was a yoga instructor, I think, right, so she was able to act because I haven't seen that, but she's has to like lay still the whole movie pretty much. Yeah. So I guess she was a yoga instructor and they hired her for that. That would be cool animated. Yeah, he's talking about the slip cover for that. He wants to see an animated version of that, which would be incredible. Yeah,
Brian says, I want to see the Closet of Shame. I will tease tomorrow's video, like I said, it's going to be in tomorrow's video. I interviewed a friend of mine who's a patron of the channel, who is the broadcast director of the New York Mets, and we talk about everything that he did this year that made the Mets do some wild things with their broadcast. And one of the things we talked about the Closet of Shame. And I'm going to put a picture up and you'll see it. Good stuff.
And then if you were going to put it up now, No, it's going in the video. KB says. I searched all over for the Jane Doe tonight, and it looks like it may be difficult to find. Yeah, it sounds like it. So some of their stuff might be out of print, or the slips might be out of it at least. Yeah. Yeah, I'm assuming those slips are pretty limited. Maybe, uh, probably because I know they're not a huge company. I'm not how old are those releases? Are those relatively new or older? Uh? God? What year
did that Raven Banner one came out? It's got to be like last year. Uh Raven Banner. Oh, that's not the same release. I don't think weird Uh not entirely sure this one, say twenty seventeen, but I don't think that's the case. Fine, maybe maybe they re released it with a slip. Yeah, I'm gonna find those that Victor Crowley won especially. I know my buddy Magic Hans has probably taken notes right now, is gonna be buying all that stuff. I think you showed the closet and your collection
video. How many movies do you have? If you don't mind me asking? I don't know my Unfortunately the Blu Ray. I could share that my numbers in the Blu ray dot com app, but it's nowhere near at through it anymore because I've sold some stuff and I forgot to delete some of them. So under all movies, which usually this means packages, not specific titles, but packages, it has me at just over seven thousand and at all Movies, it's got it at nine two hundred oh September twenty twenty one for
Jane Doe. There you go. Yeah, I thought it was last year. Wow, so that's not even it's just a year old. And the slip's already gone. Yeah, yeah, that's rough. Are they pretty solid or are they kind of just pay perfectly flimsy? Gotcha? But there's still the artwork is nice. Yeah, awesome, So Sarta says, I think
I should. You showed the closet your collection video, and I did, But that closet has housed everything since the last August that I've purchased because I made my collection video last August and I've not magically gained new shelf space since then. Sadly, jeez oh, look at that, Lissa says. Autopsy Jane Doe is supposed to be back in stock this fall sometime. That's what now. I wonder if that'll be with the slip without I think they're specifically
talking about with the slip. Okay, wow, that's that is one of the coolest reversible artworks. Yeah, and don't forget they're on their site is on sale right now, they have stuff with slips in stock and it's Canadian dollars. When you don't it, do they tell you if it comes with the slip? Yes, I believe so. If it's pictured with the slip,
you are getting the slip. As far as I'm here, I like that Keno shows it because if it comes with this, if it shows a slip on Keno, you get it with the slip, right, yes, as far as I'm aware. Yeah. And then Severn tells you if it comes with a slip cover and I don't know. You want to see something that might make you excited. A movie that we were talking about earlier that we did not talk about, Raven Banner carrying. Look what movie they have with the slip? Oh? Whoa, So since we're here, this is
their sight. Uh. The Sadness is twenty five dollars Canadian, so it's actually probably gonna be about eighteen ish, I think. Us. Here's some of the other stuff that they've got the sound of Scars. This is a documentary Crabs. This is supposed to be a fun one. The vigil this old Turbo Kid is sold out. But man, that's a great slip too. Oh Sharks out of print? Is it does autopsy say out a stack
or out of print? It has sold out? For no? Yeah, we got come True sky Shark and the Bunny sky Sharks and Bunny the Killer. How much does it to ship over here? I believe if you get like four or five titles, it's like twenty one Canadian dollars. So as long as you get like five titles, it's gonna be worth it. Gotcha
and all of that that you could see my finger where it's going. But all of those, like the spare parts Victor Crawley, they look like they have slips, yep, spare parts for the sake of vicious, Psycho Gorman, death Gasm and look at that death as is only eighteen Canadian Psycho Gorman. This one's twenty. Spare parks is fifteen and that's Canadian, so it's probably only gonna be like eleven or twelve bucks. Oh that's the sale right now? How much? How much is it outside of the sale? Usually?
I think it's like twenty three, twenty four something like that US, which isn't that bad? No Canadian? Oh wow, okay, I forgot they did this one. Have you seen Basking yet No, I've never seen that. This movie is amazing. Look at the slip. That is incredible and then here is all let me make it larger before zoom met the back of it. Yep, that's the entire slip. Wow, that is gorgeous. Yep, absolutely incredible. All right, I think we're gonna end right
at four hours. All right, thanks everybody for spending your night with us. Hope you had a good time. Please go subscribe to Bob see you back next Thursday. And like I said, Patreon tonight or tomorrow to get in on this month's giveaway. And uh, if you want, we got the watch along this coming Sunday. Have a good night from two collectors, all of you.
