N a. Hey, hey, welcome to Thursday, everybody. Hope everybody is doing well. Sorry for the shaking there, getting everything set up very very quickly tonight. Hope all are doing well. And of course, as usual, first Thursday of every month we have with us doctor Will Dodson. Hello Will, Hey, everybody, Happy Pride Month, Happy indeed happy Juneteenth. I got a funny Pride Month story for you. Sure start it right off. Yeah, So there's some construction going on in our neighborhood. They're

working on water pipes under the road. So these giant construction people with their giant construction tools and bulldozers come in and they tear up the street and rip up the pipes and dig with their shovels, and they frequently block people's method

of egress the driveways. That's what I'm saying to you. And so early one morning, it was about like six forty five, because they come in full volume at like six point thirty six forty five, and I walked out to to talk with these construction fellas to make sure that they left the driveway clear so that my lovely wife could get out and go to work. And I talked to you know, I was trying to show that I was hurly burly just like they were. I was like, you know, kind of

how many inches is that shovel you got there? You know, are you using a flat flat shovel or tapered you know that kind of stuff when we talk about tools. And they're kind of laughing at me. I'm like, yah, yeah, I'm a geek. Whatever. So I turned around and I had back I got my coffee in my hand, and you know, I've got a lot of students who who who love and adore me, and

occasionally they'll give me gifts. And so I get back in and I see my reflection in the in one of the and realized that I was wearing one of those gifts, and it was this. For those who are listening to the podcast, this is a T shirt that reads, I heart my hot Italian boyfriend. I must talk to guys a good five minutes, just ask what's going on? You know, how you doing? Appreciate the good work? Just to be queer? Is that? Is that referencing something specific?

Uh? Just specifically, I love my hot Italian boyfriend. I was just for me to get the line just to be queer in there? Uh, We got a question from somebody that tried to ask last month, and for some reason we didn't see it. They're gonna be listening tomorrow, So will do you have any thoughts about any Jeff Speakman films? Have you seen Land of the Free with Bill Shatner as an evil politician? I have not. I think the only Jeff speaking in film I've seen is Perfect Weapon, which

I guess speaks to my masculinity issues. Doesn't Jeff speak mins. I'll check him out, you know, But I'm afraid sorry to be a disappointment there in the question. You've waited a whole month for what we've seen one film, but that's definitely a blind spot that should be should be dealt with either way. Yes, we're very happy to be there. Jack Kane, I want to shout this out, says, restore the White Norsky Verse. Better win at shelf Shock next year. I've heard that's a pretty damn great visual

essay on that new release of Pop top List from terr Vision. Well, I'm sure doctor Bustier would appreciate hearing that. I'll pass that along. Yeah, we do like feedback for him. Actually, that whole Pop Topolis disc should win all the awards. It's fantastic. It is just Beane says, you watched this last time Knack to get Starlett Is you're Ryan? Your microphone is messing up, dude. Okay, well now it's working. Well,

I don't know what's going on. Maybe it was my computer. Probably Uh oh, I got a new laptop from my place of employment, and wouldn't you know, the battery is feeling kind of warm. Uh oh oh nop. Craig says he heard it too. Okay, yeah, we set that ship so I feel very beige in my setup here. It's a pretty beige situation. Well, we can't hear Ryan, and you know what that means, improv No, you sound exactly as before. Man, what are we gonna do? I'm gonna call themulligan? Uh you you you vamped for a

moment? Works? Hey, tell tell some Joe Bob stories while we're waiting. Wow, nice way to step on the intro to that. I'm sorry, I'm having tech issues. Go ahead, Well you sound fine? Now go ahead. Well I don't know why, but I was that was so funny. Watch you just pull out another microphone, but it was like a tree branch. It was like an arm because how about now? Is that better? Now? Yeah, that sounds fine. I don't know. I'm ok. Hey, now everybody can hear me. Let's let's get this actually

going. How how how is the last month? How you how you been? R eleven thirty three asks if we can get another gay thing story from me? Actually, just give it a few minutes you will. What did you ask me? How's how's the last month been? Thunder just now I still hear it. Yeah, this is a weird show already. Yoh.

And it was a momentous may A lot of really great things happened, as we'll highlight, and a lot of really bad things, like horrible things that I won't say and wish on anybody, but I wouldn't wish on anybody on this chat. So it's been, it's been, and I know you been going through it too. It's just been a really stressful time. And it's a stressful time in America, it's a stressful time in the world. I know a lot of people listening to the show can relate when we share that

we're we're stressed out and oh yeah live in some imagine dragon song. But that's twenty one pilots, come on, get it together? What oh that is a song by twenty one Pilots, not Imagine Dragons. I don't believe I understood that there was a difference between those two groups. One of them has talent, which one? Which one's the one yelling all the time like they wrap and then they yell. That's twenty one Pilots, okay. And then what's imagine dragons? Arena rock? Arena rock? Yeah, like the

modern Nickelback. Basically I thought Nickelback was the modern Nickelback. Nah, they're a little past their pray. Wow with the flavors, you know. I know this is cliche, but it's like the sun comes up and you start over, you know what I mean? And I am very excited to share some of the wonderful things that happened this past month in film and cinema and whatnot Imagine Dragon. Okay, So twenty one Pilots are the ones that are

like blippity blippity hippie hippie. Let's not, let's not. I'm gonna have to look up the Imagine Dragon. Then if I thought that I knew what they were anyways, Uh, the first thing we want to talk about tonight before we go into pickups and recent watches a pretty momentous thing for someone's favorite productions. I kind of figured we should probably lead up with that and any fan fear you want to go before I share the picture. Wow, there's

better pictures. But yeah, we got a pretty cool story that I think Ryan alluded to well, I guess posted about earlier this week. So yeah, pull it up there. So that's my living room, and how should I tell the story? And we've never announced this was happening, right nop? And this has been in the works for a quite a long time now,

Yeah. Yeah, So Joe Bob Briggs, you know, he's always touring somewhere doing a show, and he announced a show in Durham, North Carolina where he was going to do a double feature of Bubba Ho Tep and Donnie Darko, and it so happened. Can I say, yeah, it's

been announced what this is for, right okay? And so since last summer we've been working on some stuff for Gator Bait and Gator Bait two Cage and Justice for Terror Vision And so I just sent a message to Joe Bob's assistant saying, you know, hey, we're doing the thing for Gator Bait. Would love to interview mister Briggs if he's available, if you'd like to do it when he comes to the Durham show. I'm going to be at the

show. I have a ticket and everything, and he said yes. So I was very excited because it's my I've been to some shows and gone through the autograph lines and shaking hands and each time I say hey, I'm one of the guys that edited American Twilight the Summer Tooby Hooper and he's like, oh, yeah, how's it going, how's it doing? You know, But this is the first time, like actually sitting down with him in person.

So I was very excited about this interview, very nervous. Well, then we get to the week of and Joe Bob's assistant reaches out to the venue to set up a time for us to do an interview, like in a back room or somewhere, and the venue for whatever reason, was unable to accommodate, and eventually just there wasn't there wasn't any possibility of the interview

happening, and so we looked at the hotel. We were a stam but that was going to charge a bunch of money to use a room, and you know, the interview was schedule for a Saturday, and up until like that Thursday night, I thought it's going to get canceled. So I go for the hail Mary, which involved me saying to yeah, Stan geezy and I did a zoom stream with Joe Bob like two or three years ago, about two and that's that was the first time. So I sent a message

and I said, listen, this is very unusual. I know that if it's not comfortable, no problem, but I'm just looking for a solution. I happened to live very close to the venue. I could pick him up from the hotel. I could have the crew have a set ready for him to step out of the car, get in there, do the thing, and go take them straight at the venue. And I expected, you know,

no way, because that's I could do some torture point thing. And he said sure, And so I show up to his hotel and I'm waiting for him, and he comes down the hallway in that jacket and the guy at the front desk of the hotel goes, damn, I like that jacket. And we walked out to my Subaru Forester which I had detailed the day before frantically, and I took a car ride about thirty minutes to the to the house, walked in, I had a crew, everything was set up.

He sat down in my lawn chair that sits in my lawn and we did an interview for about an hour. It was very expansive about and then he very graciously signed autographs for all the crew, which included Rock Hudson,

who came in to check it out. He talked to him a little while, and you know, he's got a friend who helped found co found the North Carolina School of the Arts, which is just down the road from you and See Greensboro, So he talked to because most of my crew were you and Sea Greensboro media studies students, So he talked to him for a while, and then we rode another half hour in the car to the venue. And here's the funny part. Well, I mean it's already hilarious, right

because like, what the hell he's just coming to my living room. So we get to the venue and park in the loading zone and get out with him, and I walk him to the front door, past the line of all the mutants who are waiting to get in, and we knock on the door and they let us in. And so he's starting to work with his volunteers who are running the merch line, were running merch sales while he does

autographs and stuff. So while he's doing that, I go park the car come back is her course locked and an attendant opens up the door to let somebody out, and I say, hey, can you let me back in? I'm with Joe Bob. So she pulls up, she pulls out a clipboard and she's like, what's your name. I'm like, well, I'm not on the list, so never mind. But a guy behind her goes, oh, no, no, no, he can come in. He's

mister Briggs driver. So you know, I got to go in and do the the sort of VP area, not really vip A, but I was just in there early with with Joe Bob and Darcy and it was just, you know, it was a great day. He you know, he gave up really three hours of his time total, which is a lot when you're you know, seventy one years old and about to do about to sign autographs for there were almost nine hundred people at the show. Yeah, and he stayed for every single person, as he always does. So he was very

gracious and very kind. I have some more stories, some details of our conversations off camera that I think we'll share at some point, make a video for the Patreon. Is that what we're gonna do? Yeah, something like that. And I will say that the only sad thing that happened that day,

of course, is that Roger Corman passed away that evening. But it was a wonderful It's a sad moment, but it was a wonderful moment because when Joe Bob was informed, he stood up and stopped the autograph line, and he told everybody there that Corman passed away and that he was an icon of American cinema and a great man and a friend, and he had all of us share a moment of silence together and then and then he resumed signing

autographs, taking pictures, and great guy standpoints out, Joe Bob's a tall man. I'm I'm six three, and Joe Bob's at least an inch maybe too taller than Joe Bob is about the same height as me, I believe. Yeah, he's a tall guy. Vandermilt Man, Yeah, so couldn't be happier. So grateful to Terror Vision for supporting it, and of course Joe Bob and his assistant Tracy for setting it up. And I guess thanks to the venue for not being accommodating. Worked out pretty well for me.

Yeah, so it's a real dream come true, you know. I I I'll share one one story. No, I'm not gonna share. So there's the crew all right right there in the middle. I want to give a shout out Neil and to Maya, she's the director. Yeah, everybody in that crew did great. I mean they they dressed that set and looked really good. There's a lot of little Easter eggs in the background in and out of focus that you might at'll see when the interview does finally come out.

So we don't know exactly, excuse me, how that's going to pan out. Gator Bait is going to be a two four K set. It'll be the Gatorbait and Gatorbait two together as a double feature. It'll be either one long interview or two, depending on how we edit the whole thing out. But it's going to be a stupendous release. They've got a lot of stuff coming over here. Yeah, which is amazing. Yeah, yeah, all right, are we allowed to say any other special features? No, not

yet. Okay, next order of business before we get into pickups in recent watches. In the last issue The Physical Media Advocate, there was a giveaway listed for a brand new four K release of Frivolous Lola. Wow, this is from a cult epics of course recent release. There was a simple question that you had to answer and send the answer to an email address, and of all of the entries that we got, we got one winter pick tonight that goes to John Alo. Just so you're aware, if you are listening,

I will be reaching out to you via email. You're gonna get Frivless Lola. And then also I'm a little too generous, so I'll probably throw in like three or seven things on my own just to make you feel special. So you got that coming to you. Thanks for everybody that entered, Thanks for everybody that keeps reading The Physical Media Advocate. There's so much in there, but that last issue was special. We're gonna talk about the next issue in just a little bit, so I won't say too much about that

just yet. You know what they say about John Allen, What do they say very soothing. I thought you're gonna say vera soothing? What's going on? H Yes, Gator Bae, who is absolutely worth it alone. That one's been much more difficult to see than Gator Bay one. So I'm excited. I'm excited they got both. Yeah, I can't believe it. That's uh, that's in my view, that's gonna be like the title that Terror Vision is known for, at least for for this year. It'll be one

of the few big ones. I mean we got they already announced. We've got big top pee wee coming this year too, So that's a big deal. Hey, why don't you share some things you've been watching? Watches or pickups? What's first? Uh, whatever, I'll let you choose tonight, sir. Okay, I'll most start with watches then. So I recently did a Deaf Crocodile double feature of Zero Grad and Assassin of the Czar. Both incredible films, some of the last Soviet films released during Perestroika. Both have

commentaries by by Sam Degan, extensive interviews. Just really great. Yeah, that's all. It is great for TV. These these are Yeah, I'm sorry, I was trying to just what to say. About them. I think Zero Grad actually is my favorite of the two, is really really funny, gorgeously shot. They're both gorgeously shot, but Assassin is our stars Michael Michael Malcolm McDowell, very different than Michael McDowell Malcolm McDowell. And you got

two versions of it. There was a version done in English and a version done in Russian that has a different edit and different score, so hours and hours of really illuminating stuff, and then the other two. It was kind of spooky in a way that made me feel good because they're very random watches. I've been going through trying to call some stuff out of the collection to sell and give away, and I realized that I had two copies of a

film. I had the Twilight Time Edition and the Arrow Edition of Audrey Rose, and so I decided to compare the transfers. They actually look pretty much the same to me, but of course the Arrow version has a lot more extras. And so watch the film because I realized I hadn't seen it before, and they realized that one of the features was a visual essay by Lee Gambon. Yeah, a great essay on reincarnation and sema. And you know,

I never had well. And then the other one that I took a look at was a made for TV western called Wild Women, and guess who does the commentary track. I had no idea, And so you know, I never had the pleasure of meeting or working with Lee Gammon. But but obviously, like everyone, I've been influenced by his work. I've published stuff on some of the same presses that he's published on, you know, and and so as a result, been familiar with his catalog, at his work,

and you know, we're about this. He's actually a little bit younger than I am. So it was a great shock, and it's been somewhat of a consolation, I suppose to see the wonderful tributes that have been coming out to him. But anybody who's unfamiliar with Lee Gammon's work, you know, you should seek out some of the films that he's done, commentaries for some of his books, essays, real prolific and super smart guy. So

tributes to Lee gambon Tonight. I'll go a step further and say, if you have never heard anything from him, probably one of the best things that you can do is put on the bill. Ackerman hosted a supporting Characters podcast episode with Lee Gambon to find out who he was as a person, what made him tick, and all of the amazing impact that he chose to have on people. And one of the biggest things Lee was a lover of horror, absolutely loved horror through and through. Many of his books are about some

aspect of horror. But also he was one of those people that had to say, I love horror, but also watch X and things like Godspell is something that he's been passionate about for years. I mean, he wrote a book about seventies musicals. It is such a it's a ridiculously prolific career that he's had in such a short period of time. Because if you go back and listen to that episode of Sporting Characters, it was only recorded like six years ago, I think, and at that point he had never done any

special features for any disc Oh. Wow, I didn't know that. So everything has been done in the last five and a half or so years. Wow. Yeah, it turns out why Women's actually a pretty erentchaining film, So I'm not going to sell it. I had a fairly modern week of watches, at least the ones that I'm allowed to talk about the ones that

I really wanted to highlight. I watched the Last Stop in You mccounty and uh, if you are a fan of this show, you're a fan of interviews on this show, I'd highly recommend that you watch that sometime in the next month, just just saying you may want to watch that to to study for something coming up. It is an incredible film. It's a modern neo noir tinged Western feeling movie that is really really great. It's it's really tense.

Stars Richard Brake as somebody that is kidnapping people in a diner. Yeah, it's it's fantastic. H were you talking to you when you said see it to everybody? Oh, it's it's already being harold. It is like one of the best of the year, so decent. D Sittner said, My Jess Franco was straining the shelf, so I had turned the camera so you can actually see the Franco shelves. Those continue my friends. Next one, the wife and I went to a birthday party this last weekend. He

was actually in the chat earlier. Happy Birthday again. Kyle to an escape room and the baby babysitter happened to be watching the kids for a couple more hours after we were done with dinner, so we said, hey, you know what, why don't we just go see a movie. So I went to see what was gonna line up with our time of leaving the restaurant, and we caught up with a showing of in a violent nature. This is the point of view slasher that everybody's talking about that came out, I believe

last Friday. It's a very divisive film, and I can see why. I know that a lot of people are very excited for something unique in horror, and I will say for me, it wasn't for me one bit. Did not like it at all. I have very little redeeming to say about it other than that one kill, which is what everybody says about this movie. There is one kill that is going to be going down in horror history as legendary, and it deserves it. It's it's an incredible kill, very

well done. I get it. I totally get it. The last one I wanted to point out. I think it was a couple episodes ago, or like three months ago something like that. We were talking about marketing and trailers on here. For a split second, I went and sought out Abigail because I needed something. Let's just say, I've made my wife and my mom watch a lot of weird movies for the last couple of months, so I said, let's do something modern that they're both gonna like, and I

chose Abigail, and I was rather impressed. This thing turned out pretty damn good. I am sort of sad that they chose to have the trailer the way that they did for this film, but other than that, the movie was done really really well, acted, incredibly, written, surprisingly decently, had some great practical effects in it. I thought it was pretty great. Yeah, I really enjoyed it. You liked it? Abigail was great? Yeah, well, I thought you're still talking about the that was like four

minutes ago. I am I'm sick, dude. I know I should. I should say to our audience that I am so nauseous and I may disappear for a minute, just randomly. So lessed. It's less as bro has checked out, all I care. I have to care about these movies that you're talking about. Abigail is the doll righth No, oh, that's Megan. Abigail is about a young young girl that gets kidnapped and held for ransom from her parents. Oh, I spoiled it in the trailer. Yes,

I got that, the woman from They Fired from Scream. Yes, yes, Melissa Brera, Yes, she's great. Did you ever see that show the name of which I'm forgetting this? She was What the hell is that called? She was on a show? Yes, somehow I did not know that. No, it's on the Hulu. It's a show about lesbian latinas. That's why Will loves it. That is not why it's called Vita Vita. Yeah, it's great, three three seasons. Wish they'd had for What

did you pick up recently, sir virus. Well we've already gone over the tear of vision stuff ad nauseum. But I will say I did get you know, contributor Peck, Yeah, Pop Topolis, Nail Gun, Massacre. Really loved Lance and Erica's visual essay for Dreamstalker Old Kung Fu Masters. So those are those are super great. A couple of things I got this month or the month of May. I got the uh so far I think I actually gotten all the cinematograph films. So I got able for as Dangerous game.

What is this? Is this a Jay Card. Is that what that is? It? Ease? I believe it looks like it is gonna mess up my cover if I try to take it off. I don't think it will. He tested different adhesives and shows one that will not damage it. And for a warning, I believe Cinematograph is supposed to have two releases next month. Great, we'll probably not out of everything. Then. I really excited about this. I teach this movie a lot. Just another girl on I r T. You know, I had a long out of print DVD.

I like this thing that Paramount does with the a little fold up cover. Loves those Paramount presents, So I'm glad you showed one of those from Keno got Vincent price and twice told tales nice. Pretty stoked about that one. Everybody watching, please listen to Humboldt Horror honey when they when they come as one size fits all, I can never buy socks. Speaking of got gay U s a from Altered Innocence, which is which is a title that

I'm very excited about. Smashed Sexism Sexism Gays Unite Now, by the way, That disc fully produced by Lee Gambon. Oh You're kidding great? Also from Agafa picked up Terminal Degeneration, the films of John Mortsuku, which I was very stoked to check out. And then finally, my last pickup of the month is one that I've been like coronary stroke conniption excited about since the moment of its release, and that is Sex and Fury starring Rico Eke Christina

Limberg, directed by the great Norfu Misuzuki. Love this film. I immediately compared it to my out of print DVD and I can say that this does look quite good. Wish it had had some extras, but I'm just glad. I'm glad it's here nice, I'm cur love it well. Speaking of things that will loved like Sex and Fury, Lena Rome and Sex Apocalypse from

London Macabro, I have not talked about that yet. Got that in want to highlight love to another up and coming Australian contributor with Welcome Home Roxy Carmichaels. Is the first time this has ever been on HD anywhere in the world. This has a new visual essay by Suzanne which is a friend of the

Imprint Imprint cast that I've been on a few times. Can't wait to watch that and then we're gonna be talking about him tonight, and not enough people continue to purchase from them, So I really want to highlight fund City Editions continues to do incredible work and this is one of their newest ones. Seeing read three French vigilante thrillers, which is supposed to be great. This whole

set is quite heavy. It is three different discs. You've got the disc prey on the inside and everything, and it does come with a limited booklet, and the booklet's pretty decent. It's a not full of a ton of pictures. It's got some good writing. Yeah, this is a great, great set. That's awesome. John Peters mentioned that I wish they kept the old commentary for Sex and Fury. That's why I got to hold on to my long out of print transparent slipcover DVD. See slipcovers have always been a

thing. Yeah, oh yeah, I got that in another long out of print DVD, the Pinky Violence set. Oh geez, I have seen that cover so many times and never seen one. Well you're looking at it now, buddy, Yeah, Well there you go. It's a pretty good month for pickups, how about that? Yeah, pretty big week for announcements to

We got a lot to talk about tonight. We got a lot to talk about, what's coming out next week, anything else going on with someone's favorite Do you want to highlight for everybody or anything that you want to turn their attention to. Will brow if your sister's documentary again, No announcements from Netflix physical Really Yeah, Mad which is available on Disney Plus is pretty good,

pretty good documentary. I'm I'm really impressed with it. It's a I hope we'll get a physical release, but I hope any of you have access to Disney Plus we'll check it out because I think it's pretty amazing achievement. I'm really proud of her. I will put the name of it again in the chat Anitu, just in case you. Yeah, one more thing that we got to announce. Will and I are making a trick across the country. We said we were going to talk about that tonight. No we didn't.

Yes, we did. It was supposed to be a surprise. We said we could we'll talk about this later. No, we did say we were gonna have to talk about it tonight. Hey, Will and I are going to southern California next month. Is that where it is. That's what it is. It's in southern California very much so. Yes, Will and I are going to l A next month, going to be there for Jungle a little over a week. Gonna be seeing a bunch of people, including Craig

and Dennis from Deaf Crocodile. Got a lot to do. Uh, if you have, if you live there, or if you're around there or anything, let us know. We're gonna do our best to try to meet up with as many people as we want. If you want to meet up with us, including this gentleman, Ryan, you better reach out because we gotta we gotta do something cheery. Oh man, Yeah, we're we're excited. We got a few things that we're gonna do. Uh, some things that

we're not gonna talk about. But yeah, it's gonna be a fun time. It's gonna be exciting to meet people like Stan. Did you really not tell Janna? No, He's he's fucking with you and you and you're falling for it. Oh well, I gotta joke to anybody. Yeah, I'm gonna be excited to get out there and see Stan again. Julius does it my sister at some point? Yeah? Maybe? Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, going to like Yellow Cool Jay, going back to Calid. You see

what Brendan said, does we'll have Alzheimer's? Where are we going? What are we doing? We did? Yeah, I don't know. I'm going into the doctor tomorrow for a procedure. We'll see what they say. And now we're be super worried about you. Anyways, anything else we wanted to do before announcements? Now? Is there anything we can say about someone's favorite? I think that might be all we can talk about. I think so. I'm going to a writer's retreat next week. It's exciting. Yeah it's

not. I mean, I'm excited about it. The actual retreats not exciting. You get locked into a room for these three hour sessions and they're like work. I just thought, you know, I guess we could kind of tease. We did another big interview fairly recently too, for someone's favorite. Oh this is so Blenny. Everybody's really going to think you have all z evers? I did it? Yes? Is that the rock and roll thing? Yeah? Yeah yeah for certain people, that's a huge interview. Yeah,

well we can't talk about that one. You can, Nope, That's why I just said we can tease. We did a big interview. Yeah, the rock and roll star Craig says, just check our plan schedule up to eight four k HDR plan titles now Jesus, all right, are we ready for some announcements? Sir? No, not Yeah, I'm not sure if you're ready for much of anything. What. Uh yeah, I do have to apologize. I mean, I'm normally pretty close to this, but I am on a I am on a medication that causes nausea and said mild

sedation. I said we could add somebody else do this because I gotta go to the doctor tomorrow and they're gonna tell me something's wrong. This is one of the funniest jokes in a long time. Reggie, thank you for this. He asked if the interviews with twenty one pilots because I kept asking him, how did you imagine a dragon? Oh? Man, Oh that was really good. Hey, well, I re run through which one did the video with Dolph Lunder? Somebody have no clue. Yeah, they did a

video with Lunger. Oh you know what I've had to say? It was fun. You know what? I saw the signers d signers face last and uh not as I pictured the Sinner's handsome. Yeah, speaking of uh queer coded stories, I uh, I pictured a completely different that's a sad thing. Well that'll be for the next announcement, I guess July. All right, Uh all right, oh man, this is off the rails. Uh,

I'm gonna run through some of the wh where we're going. We don't need rails, hey, after Oh man, this is It's like Marty McFly but was doing DOC. I was DOC. I got it. This is hilarious. Ryan says, Will saw my face and said nothing about it. I did, was that Will with Alzheimer's is sad. All right, I'm gonna go over the tear Vision announcements if you want to take a break and go freshen up or something, and feel free to so after the stream.

Last week, Terror Vision had a stream right after we were done, and they announced Dawning from twenty twenty two is coming to their Gray Face line. You can pre order this now with a bunch of extras in the incredible packaging that they've done for their whole Grave Face line. The first title was River. This is the second. You can get in from the ground floor on the two of these titles if you want to stay up to date. They're

pretty good. Actually, they're really well done. This is going to be shipping last week it was three weeks, so I'm assuming two weeks from now. I think so fourteen twenty yeah, right around two weeks from now. In fact, all of these Terror Vision titles should be shipping in about two weeks, so I will just stay with that two weeks from now. Our next time from Terror Vision is Family Dinner from twenty twenty two. This one's

got a commentary with the filmmakers on here. We got a making of featurette stills and behind the scenes gallery. New subs on this one. This one is crazy. This is one that I think people are really gonna like when you check this out. This is a really well done release. Love that people are loving the packaging and art on the grave faced ones. I am.

I'm very excited to see Chloe's art on some of the upcoming Graveface titles because Chloe's gonna do art for all of the grave Face titles, and we're doing stuff like Big Top Pee, we under Grayface, so it's gonna be it's gonna be amazing. Next one from Terror Vision was in the Woods. If you saw the trailer for this one, you probably immediately got excited. This is man maybe the one that I would say is the most recommended out of this whole set. If you're looking to just get one, it depends

on if it's your sort of thing. Go to the tear Vision YouTube and check out the trailers. This trailer is wild. There's an original cut of this movie. There is a brand new alternate cut of this movie that is a full minute longer. There's a commentary for each of those, and yeah, lots of extras on this There's even an In the Woods two teaser trailer on there. Yeah, I think most people would find something to dig in this one. Love the art on this release. I hope people are into

that. And then Psycho Sisters. This is a title that people might recognize because of Saturn's Core releasing Psycho Sisters a little over like a year and a half ago or something like that. But this is this is different. This is the nineteen ninety eight Psycho Sisters that was shot on film, unlike the Saturn's Core one which was shot on video. But the Crazy Thing that release is also on this disc. Psychosisters has the nineteen ninety four film and the

nineteen ninety eight film. And it's got all kinds of new X, all kinds of old extras. This disc is overwhelmingly saturated with special features. You get basically everything. If you want this title or if you got the Saturn's Core and you like it, this will have the entire package. I don't think it's missing anything from the Saturn's Core disc. And now we get both films and new extras. So check this out. That's a lot. It is a lot. It is a heck of a lot. Welcome back.

Are we remembering better now? No? Okay. Then they announced a new slipcover for lenea Quigley's horror Workout. The first one sold out way too quickly, so they wanted people to get another chance at a slipcover for this one. Jimbo says, watch Gray Faces River last night, excellent film and disk. Hey we're on that disc. Thanks for checking that out. Then they also announced a brand new slipcover and a brand new release of Video Violence.

This one had been released under OCEN, but they had not been printing it anymore because they were not under Ocen anymore. So now you can get Video Violence again, and now this time in this fancy original art slipcover, which personally I think is a lot better than the original box for Video Violence. You also got Video Violence too on the opposite side, and it comes with a new booklet, so even if you got that original release, you got

a reason to check this out. There's some good writing in this booklet as well. Cinema, Yeah, you check this one out. Did you like these I have not gotten through them just yet. Okay, I know a lot of people love these titles. Yeah. Yeah, that's it for new stuff from Terror Vision. But also they announced that in June they're having a promo on shipping. There is free excuse me, free US shipping at ninety nine dollars, free Canadian shipping at one hundred and forty nine dollars, and

free anywhere else in the world shipping for one ninety nine. You just got to put in a promo code USA, Canada or ROW for rest of world, and then you can get free shipping if you're spending that much. They don't do that very often, and shipping is hell, so if you are international, load up right now. And if you want even more of an incentive, they quietly went in and lowered the price of a bunch of titles,

especially ones that came out last year. So if you are missing stuff or have just never bought stuff because you were waiting for the right time, this might be that time. I mean, free shipping and lower prices is a really great deal. I also got that SOOV starter pack. Yeah, super cheap. You can get ten sov films for like one forty right, yeah, something like that, or then with slips it's like I'm not sure something. Yeah, either way, it's an It's a pretty incredible price.

Check him out. Anything else about tear Vision? Hey, you got to meet Ryan Grayface? Oh yeah, Me and uh me and mister Chudson went to the Carolina Fearfest in Raleigh, North Carolina, where we got to meet Ryan Graveface and Chloe in person. Now we talked to him for about three hours. They were so nice and got to see from Afar Heather langing Camp and Kelly Maroney. Unfortunately Bill Mosley was there. But some doll mass on the motorcycle like ran him over, hit and run to brocaus. You know,

that's typical for Raleigh. I'll tell you what, all these out of town people moving in. But but but it was great you know, Ryan Chloe could not have been nicer. I was so nervous to meet him, you know, and but they but Chloe came out and like brought us in up to their table, and it was so cool to see, you know, these releases on display, knowing that we had worked on them, and it was good spending some time with mister Chudson, whose company I enjoyed greatly.

Stan says, he's asking me if I'm I'm jealous of almost every aspect of your life stance. So every week, every week Stand says something that somebody goes, what the hell? I know, Well, Stan's had a life, man, That's what these days, you're gonna have to do a memoir, you know. I I have already made the promise that Stan is going to be on my channel for an I'm just counting down the days. Cool, all right. Next is the next announcement from Imprint TV, which

is Randall and Hopkirk deceased the complete series from nineteen sixty nine. Once again, Imprint goes above and beyond so much on their TV stuff that all of their extras would have to take up like eight or nine different Instagram posts, So I couldn't even list a quarter of them. If you are into this, this will be the definitive release of this. No matter what it's it's pretty overwhelming. I've never seen this. Have you ever seen anything from this?

I'm going to assume it's British based on how long those people's faces are. Yeah, that's that's what they've been doing a lot of their TV stuff. Yeah, I never heard of it, So somebody will have to educate me. Cool, get me, Amanda Reis. Let's talk about Yaro video.

August twenty sixth on four K in the UK. They are doing the Silence of the Lambs and this is going to come with a new commentary by Elizabeth Purchell, Kada Mark Gardner. We've got the old Tim Lucas commentary on here, new visual essay on the theme of transformation by Justine Perez Smith, a new visual essay exploring point of view and personalization by Willow Caitlin maclay.

We've got some archival features on here. And the big question that a lot of people seem to have is this is fixing the Keno Lrber miscolored first reel that they did on their four K release. So this will be the definitive release of this film. Great Roger Corman cameo, it's true, I should say too. There's a booklet in this with a new writing on the film by Alexander West, Josh Nelson, Sam Moore, and Alexandra Heller. Nicholas any thoughts on Silence. We've talked about this before, haven't we. I

don't know. Maybe I've done I've done many of these films. I'm not a big fan of Sounds of Lambs, but I'm a fan of anything in the series there. Uh. I saw Man Hunter, it was it was okay. I saw Hannibal it was horrible with the brain thing. I wonder if you would like Hannibal Rising. I don't know. There's just something about it that feels I don't know. It just wasn't a sad I recognized that, you know, there's a lot of reasons to like the movie, and

that a lot of people like it. So I'm not I'm not casting aspersions. This is just not for me. I liked them all for some reason, even Hannibal Rising, which is not, like admittedly objectively not a great film. It's got weird, like incestuous storylines and weird scars, and yeah that that that movie is insanity. Then they're also doing this very different site exclusive slipcover. Look how different it is when I go back and forth.

Look how much changes I can I can hear the lamb of screaming Cardie. Yes, that's it. Not much, I don't understand. Okay, So I'm right that the slipcover is none all that interesting. No, I'm I'm shocked that they're both pretty not great. No, Ryan Manhunter has not been released on four K, and as far as I'm aware, not even in print on Blu ray anywhere in the world at the moment. So hopefully we

get something soon because Manhunter deserves a four K and we've he's amazing. Next up is Heathers, coming in four K in the UK on August fifth, from Aero. This is the nineteen eighty eight why known a writer a Christian Slater joint. We've never talked about this one. How do you feel about Heathers? This seems like a Will movie. Ye. My son is gay and I love him. I love my dad gay son. Yeah, yeah, I love this movie. This movie is amazing. The dialogue is great,

the ending is insanity. Yeah. Yeah, pretty much everything about this movie works for me. It's to me the ultimate high school movie because you even make that move. This movie today definitely not not with that same ending. Yeah, maybe considered that. I was just like that stuff. Yeah yeah, but it's good. You know, it really captured what the nineties were gonna be. You know, I got to bring up that ending again and how much that means there. Shit, yeah, I mean it's a

big part of what the nineties were too. Yeah. Unfortunately, Yeah, I agree with everybody in the chat here that's loving this. Next up is a side exclusive slip cover for Heathers, which, again like not one I would run out to get. I don't. I don't really love either of these slips. I gonna be honest, Well that looks like the old DVD cover. It's just I believe this is the original poster. Yeah, yeah,

yeah, Yeah, that's okay. I'm not gonna like, yeah, I'm not gonna go go like you haven't you haven't pre ordered four of these? No, what edition we have? Is there an aero edition Blu Ray that I have something? Yes, you have the Blu Ray version of this, which was sourced from a four K scan already, so the only difference. Literally is UHD with HGR all the same extras everything else. Well, excuse me one second, I have to go feel superior. Next up is

a four K steel book of Desperado. This is coming on August twenty sixth in the UK as a ZAVI exclusive, August twenty seventh in the US and Canada. This is coming when we've been hearing about stuff like this coming for about three years. I even, literally the week before this announcement, had teased this was coming, without knowing that it was about to get announced.

On my Film Foundation show, we were talking about Robert Rodriguez, and I said, this was teased a long time ago, and I hope it comes this year. So we're gonna talk about Desperado and the rest of the trilogy in just a moment. But yeah, this four K steel book is coming this summer August twenty seventh. On this thirty two page collector's booklet with new writing by Carlos Aguilar and Nicholas Clement, audio commentary by Robert Rodriguez. That's

the old one. Newly filmed interview with Robert Rodriguez, newly filmed interview with Bill Borden, a new one, with Steve Davison, New One with Bob Shelley, one New Appreciation by Gareth Evans from the Raid on this and then they've got let's see text list opening trailers. I thought there was something else on here Kill Cam. Nope, that's all for this one. The rest

is in the box set. But I think it's really cool that they're releasing this one on its own because I know a lot of people do not love the other two films, because a lot of people think they don't great. Thanks for saying that, Eric, that was a fun episode to release. I totally agree there. Ryan el Mariati is my favorite of the trilogy.

Masterpiece of no budget filmmaking. Seven thousand dollars. That's freaking amazing. Then, like I said, oh, we'll talk about the box at in your second August twenty sixth, then the UK and August twenty seventh in the US on Blu Ray from Arrow, and both of these are Arrow Site exclusives.

They are doing a yor Bootgret collection called Momento Mori. They've kind of done this before because this has Necromantic Necromantic two and then the other two films that are there, Todesking and whatever the fourth one is as well, but we're gonna talk about what's different because this one has five discs rather than four.

A fifth disc it does. Yes, this is what's so. Like I said, we got Necromantic dere todes king in this neck Romantic two, and then scram that's the fourth one, and all of these have all the same features and short films that we had previously. And then Disc five a bonus disc. You got an extended cut of Necromantic two. You got premier footage from Neckromantic two. You've got Monica M's screen test footage from Neckromantic two,

a short film from twenty twenty from Bootgrite documenting a decomposition study. Then you've got Captain Berlin Versus Hitler from two thousand and nine, filmed version of the stage play, written and co directed by Bootgright, with optional audio commentary by the composer Mark Reader. You've got a nine minute short from nineteen eighty six. You've got a live concert from nineteen eighty one, short satirical concert film. There's kind of a lot in this, and if you own or already

have, you know one or two of them. I could even see wanting this if you love them. Yeah, so if you have the Love and Death set that aer Uk put out, the only thing you're missing is this disc five bonus disc. Oh you just said that, and then this giant book. I'm not sure if all of that is the same. Giant and you'll see it is built in what looks like a Shoscope type of package.

It is not shell friendly. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Okay, And now that I brought it up, I should say Ero is announcing Shoscope Volume three tomorrow morning, so be prepared for that. You'll be able to pre order. It will be releasing in November. All of the titles have leaked, but we will be discussing that next Thursday, not this week. Just wanted to give everybody a heads up for that if you want to pre order

in the morning. And keep in mind, when I interviewed James from Aero Video, he did say this one would be much more limited first than the first and second volumes because those hung around for a lot longer than they wanted them to. Yeah, but the men say went on sale to prices that I could afford. Unfortunately, there's a tension between YEP, the modern collector and the label. You see indeed, Lucky McKee, who is the director of the Woman, is having his film come out on four K from Aero

Video. What's crazy is the first time this came out from Aero they did not have the rights to do Offspring in the US, and now they are doing The Woman and Offspring both in four K in the US and Canada and the UK August twenty sixth in the UK August twenty seventh, and the other two locations. All the same extras as previously just in UHD. Now, so the Woman is a sequel of sorts to Offspring, Yes, and then there's also a third film. Actually, but McKee did not direct Offspring,

right, Nope, he did not. He only came in and directed The Woman, which by every account is the best one in the trilogy. Unless soft Spring is your favorite movie, yes, which someone must feel. I would imagine that it probably is someone's favorite movie. Yeah, so everyone doesn't agree, Oh will uh? I know one thing we can agree. I knew that you were going to make that joke. Nobody gives a shit about

this announcement on this one. Yeah, coming on August fourteenth in the UK, August thirteenth in the US, and Canada on four K is Clash of the Titans and Raths of the Titans. Unfortunately it's the ones from twenty ten to two thousan twelve. Right, what's going on with the was it nineteen eighty four Harry Hamlin version. I don't think we're getting anything. I just I got rid of my Snapcase DVD a little while ago for some crappy little

Blu ray release that barely looks better than the Snapcase DVD. But surely somebody's like trying to get that right, maybe, Craig. I tell you, I'm glad you feel that way. Sir Dustin is asking, are you saying the previous era Blue didn't have offspring? If you bought the US version, it did not. If you bought the UK or Canada version, it did, And many people around that time went and imported that one. Yeah. What is there to say about about this box set except that I hope it

sells well to subsidize something better. Yeah. I don't know what else say extras on this. I guess we can we can talk about it. Let's see, we've got double sided fold out posters for each film. We've got a new interview with the producer Basil Ivonic. We've got a featurete called Sam Worthington as Perseus Zeu's Father of Gods and Men. We've got archival stuff for the second film as well. That's it. Nothing else new except for that

one fully packed that disk. Okay, Perseus Zeus sooka, that's enough. Uh. The Mexico trilogy. This is what I was just talking about. So in this box set, Desperado is the only one that's in four K. The other two films are in blu ray. There's some reasons Once upon a Time in Mexico was one of those early shot on digital films. It would look like absolute trash on four K. It should not ever be on

four K. It would look real, real bad. But this does look like a pretty fun release if you are a fan of Rodriguez or any of these films. We've got an illustrated collector's booklet with new writing by Carlos Aguilar Nicholas Clement. That's the same booklet that's gonna be in Desperado most likely. I would imagine it would kind of seem odd if they were printing multiple copies

of different types of books for the same set. Then We've got a new interview with Rodriguez on El Mariachi, new interview with Carlos Guyarra though on El Mariachi, a new featurette on the music of El Mariachi, and then some archival stuff including BedHead short from ninety one by Rodriguez on Desperado already named everything, and then Once upon a Time in Mexico we get the commentary, new interview with Rodriguez on that trouble making, a new interview with the visual effects

editor, and then plus a bunch of archival featurettes, including the cooking video that Rodriguez did on one of these films. On one of the old releases, OH bandmate used to do an impression of Tom Waite's singing the Eagles song Desperado, and it was one of the funniest things I've ever heard. It would go, I can't really do it, but he would go, like dear's briadya. That was great. I wish you could hear it. I

don't know, I think I might. I hope he's still living. We hadn't talked in twenty years, but he did a great impression of Tom White singing Eagles songs. BedHead is a fun short. It starts his younger siblings says Ryan, Yeah, are you Are you a Rodriguez fan at all? Have you liked much from him? Nope? You know what, though, and this will probably surprise people. You know what I really like from dust Still Dawn. I think that shit's great. But no, I can't think

of any Rodriguez film that I've liked outside of that. You don't like the faculty? That was all right? I guess. I watched it again recently to like decide if I liked it, and I was still left kind of It was okay, all right, all right, I like the faculty. I do not It's nowhere near as much as I like from Dustile Don Chris, It says, Will sounds fine now that singing was amazing. What it was funny is I was the vocalist of our band. Boh, We're terrible.

No, we weren't. We were okay, all right, we're calling all right, We're called Arbus after the photographer of Diane Arbis. Hey, I'm gonna go. The next title UH Film Treasures in the UK is releasing Dawn of the Mummy from nineteen eighty one on Blu ray. This is coming in August, and uh, this is one that people have wanted for a long time. The original negative was thought to be long lost, and it

is. There was, however, a surviving thirty five millimeter German and Spanish set of prints that were located, and they had some damage, but a composite was made from them and that allowed them to get the complete film, including all of the gore that wasn't seen on one of the previous releases, to be scanned in two K, cleaned up, restored as much as possible. I don't know if the audience has noticed this, but Brian just froze. I think that's just you, my friend. But I didn't freeze.

I was still moving. Neither did I. No, but I didn't freeze on camera. Neither did I. You totally did do him? Leave it to the chat. Dallas is asking is this coming in the US. We have no information on that, but you can get this from orbit. They will be selling. I'm sure Diabolical'll have it as well. Yeah, have you seen this one. I've not had a chance to see this because this was hard to find. This is gonna have a whole bunch of new extras.

We had a new commentary with Kim Newman and Barry Forshaw. On this, we get an archival commentary with Franka grama new video essay on Franka Grama by a Eugenio Arkillani, friend of the Channel, critical appraisal of the film by Stephen Thrower. Darryl Buxton speaks on the Mummy films, and then there's an interview with Sergio Rubini on this. Erkulani worked quite a lot on this release, and it's supposed to go great. Will you are allowed to go

to bed if you need to? Why is everybody? Because they can tell you're uncomfortable. I don't feel good, but you know, the people expect first of first Thursday of the month. They don't expect you to come in here and not do well though and be okay, oh wow, So I'm also not entertaining. Is that what you're saying? Not doo? Okay? Physically No. Subner just texted to say he could jump on if you need to leave. Okay, little show girl's moment. You think I don't know

what you're doing, know me? Oh man, that's really funny. U Jimbo says, Ryan did not freeze, so thank you Jimbo's the only one who says so. Uh. Then Keno announced Gung Ho coming on Blu Ray eventually. This is the Michael Keaton film from nineteen eighty six. This is one that's directed by Ron Howard and a lot of people thought would never come to Blu Ray. Have you seen this one, sir? Is that the Union movie? This is maybe? I've not seen this one. I think

I saw it on TV one time, but I can't recall. Everybody's lined up against ban now, all right, moving right along, Hey, def crocodile, who's in the chat? Right now? Their subscription is available on Diabolic DVD for the entire month of June. You can go now if you want, you can open up in a new tab and go pay for a subscription now. You can do July through December. That's right. It starts in July. So if you want their first Diabolic exclusive title, which is

the King of Stack. I believe it's what it's called. That's not the right title. I apologize, Craig. What's the whole title? Because I got this wrong last time too. It is Romero. Yeah, that Romero is the new name of the crocodile. It's Simnar thought, I said, the Deaf Pocket Dial, the Savage Hunt of King Stack. That's what it is. I always forget. There's two more words in there. If you want that, that comes out in June, not July, so it's not

a part of the subscription. You can go order that now. Six months subscription from July through December is two hundred and thirty bucks, and that includes free shipping for all of those months. And then if you get the twelve month subscription, it is five hundred dollars for the full year, and that includes all of the months. A lot of people have been asking why the

full year is not just a six month subscription doubled. The second half is going to have potentially a box set, more four K releases, and just overall more expensive titles. And if you go and get another six month subscription in December, for the following six months, it will be much more than two hundred and thirty dollars. So don't think that you're getting away with something unfortunately, or have something to complain about. It's just they're planning bigger releases.

Yes, the Deluxe Edition is exclusive to the Deaf Crocodile Site and Diabolic. You can get a standard everywhere else this subscription. If you get it, it's gonna have guaranteed copy of the next six or twelve deluxe slipcase releases. And when we're saying slipcase, we're not just saying slip cover like when they were under OCN. They are going to be a hard box release with like an eighty page book for every single title, so it is huge.

It's more akin to something like a second site release with the hard box and a book like they always do. You're gonna get your warshipments early. If you subscribe, you're gonna get a subscriber exclusive coin for Deaf Crocodile. You know they should offer another tier. Given the giant size boxes. They're all coming in. A third tier that includes an IKEA shelving unit symbol upon arrival, a Deaf Crocodile branded shelving unit. Oh hey, there you go.

That's something to think about. Actually, I think places like Diabolic and Orbit should consider selling branded revolving towers or something. Jesus the shipping prices alone. Craig is correcting some of my data here, I'm sorry. Sixty page book at least more pages for other titles. Maybe the boxes aren't as big as the second site ones, but they're that type of release, correct Sandro there. If there are more than twelve releases, the other releases won't be free,

but you'll get a coupon code to get them discounted. The deluxe edition start this month in June with the Savage Hunt of Kingstack, anything else that I need to go on the All of the shipments will include a random movie trading card, and then you're gonna get what do we have planned for the next twelve months? Films ranging from nineteen twenty six to twenty twenty three.

A box set including the entirety of a young filmmaker's filmography, Folkhore, animation, fantasy, crime, mystery, silent films, and more beautifully strange discoveries, films from Belarus, Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Japan, Romania, Russia, of the US and more. And then they've already announced that Feladay is going to be their first four K release. They say that they guarantee one film per month, but they may release more

and in those cases you will get an exclusive subscriber discount coupon code. FeelA day, the Ultimate Cat Movie. Very very excited. Again, I got more wrong. I guess June is Ruslan and Ludmilla and the Savage undup King Stack will be early July, but it's not included. I don't know. I'm sorry, Craig, I butched that all right, that's def Crocodile. And now Craig's gonna stab me when I meet him in person. Just sick.

Craig's taking over. I'm gonna hand over reconnected. Oh, the subs begin with King Stack in July. There we go, not ruce Line and Ludmila. I'm sorry, I just told everybody wrong. Wrong title, wrong title. Yes, Robert the Gator did get a name, and it is Romero. And Romero is now in charge of the Deaf Crocodile Instagram, so watch out for that. Craig posted that announcement yesterday. Let's get into some OCIM announcements. Are we ready for that? Okay? First off, we've

got Enjoy the Ride Records ETR Media doing the Arrested Development documentary project. This is from twenty ten and it's a love letter and the definitive documentary to one of the most beloved and well written shows of all time arrested development. Wow, first couple of seasons. They for the extras on this they have film trailers, film trailers. Yep Ross posted on Facebook that he tried to get more and the director was uncooperative, So that's not great. That's the last

thing you want to hear if you're doing a documentary on somebody's show. Well beyond that, if you signed them over to do the documentary, why would you not cooperate on extras? I don't get it. Next up is Connie putting out Beijing Watermelon, and man, did this thing sell quickly as well? Says Shunzo and his wife Michi run a beloved greengrocer on the outskirts of

Tokyo. When Lee, a struggling exchange student from China, visits the shop but is unable to afford the produce, an uneasy relationship sprouts the pun there, but grudgingly Shunzo agrees to lower his prices. Soon leads classmates to begin frequenting the shop. As Shunzo's generosity sneaks up on him and strains his family's welfare, he confronts his role as surrogate father to his newfound Chinese friends. This is a Nobuhiko Obyashi film from nineteen eighty nine. Yeah, and that

means I absolutely had to get it. It's on the Criterion Channel right now for anybody that might want to check it out, along with several other of his films. So, yeah, this is going to have an interview with Chigumi ob Yashi, a theatrical trailer and teaser, a book with new writing by Aaron Garrow, new arts, and a logo designed by Leo Mack. And that is it underrated, Obyashi, says Brendan, all Right. Next as Bottom Feeders, This is coming from Dark Star Pictures. This one looks

pretty dang interesting. There's the front of the slip and the back of the waffle slip on this. We got an audition tape, featurette, trailer, behind the scenes, photo gallery, four short films from the director. Sounds like a decent package, correct, Stan Obyashi is the director of How Sue? That's why I yelled house? All right? That's Dark Star. Next up is a massive release Saturn's Core putting out David the rock Nelson Collection,

Volume number one. This covers from nineteen ninety three to nineteen ninety four, and there's the back of the Slip for Everybody. In nineteen four, the same year that Tim Burton unleashed the Academy Award winning Edwood biopic, Underground, film maker David rock Nelson travel to Baltimore to direct one of Wood's chief collaborators,

Conrad Brooks, in a backyard epic for the Ages. When the local graveyards mild mannered caretaker transforms into a werewolf in broad daylight, it's up to Conrad and his real life Jerryatric brothers Henry and Ted Brooks to vanquish the beast

using plastic oozies, fisticuffs, and a Hundi excel. The Saturn's Core is proud to present its first of several David the rock Nelson collections, highlighting the nineties fanzine staple Conrad Brooks Versus Werewolf, accompanied by Son of Werewolf and Adventures of Janet, two additional shorts handpicked by The Rock, A twenty eight page booklet with the release and four hours of rock related special features. There is so much in this. This looks crazy. The only rock I recognize The

booklet in this says. Twenty eight page mini issue compiled by Strange Tapes editor Scott Miller, with writing by authors Josiemba, Vincent Albarano, Richard magg and Taylor Hyder. Many of those names you should recognize. And then they also got Fred Ollen Ray in there and WGN TV news anchor Larry Patash. Can you see what the Rock is filming? Yes, Brad says he has three

hundred films. Wow, good god, Well first volume one? All right, Saturn's Core gonna be releasing one of these for the next four years every single month, probably not. Next one is from music Box Films, who has been pretty quiet through OCN recently. But we finally got a state side release of the doc NEEO from twenty twenty one. This looks like a pretty great release. Unfortunately I had already imported the UK release. Yeah, this

is a region A locked an interview with the director on this one. We get a behind the scenes Andyo's office concert. We got some deleted scenes and a trailer and of course English subs. But man, this documentary. If if you are a Morricone fan, this is going to be one that you should absolutely get. Yeah, anyos is great, this is a great doc. Looking forward to this one. I picked this up simonar said, the

slip sold fast? Is this one sold out too? This month has been crazy, Like seven or eight of the partner label titles sold out their slip covers in like a day and a half and one of them sold out in four hours. Geez, Yeah, this one is sold out for the slip. Crazy. Next one is feed Me from X y Z Films, directed by Adam Leader and Richard Oakes. There is the back of the slipcover.

This one has two commentary tracks, one with the writer and co director Adam Leader and Neil Ward, and then the second with the co director Richard Oaks, producer Ed Pulgarti, and the composer Benjamin Simons. Three reels from twenty twenty two is Beyond fest feed Me in La Featurette, a music video, Neil Ward is Naked featurette and then liner notes from Jacob Q. Knight and I have not seen much about this one. No, this is a new

one. I like the art on this though. Yeah, it's compellingly grotesque. Yeah even the back. Yeah. Next one film Movement putting out Kamikazi eighty nine from eighty two. This is Fosspender in his final acting role. This is going to have a new four K restoration The Rainer Werner Fassbender, The Last Year documentary by Wolf grem commentary by Regina Ziegler, John Cassavetti's Kamakazi eighty nine TV spots, and then new essays by Nick Pinkerton and Samuel D.

Prime. Yeah, this was a pickup for me. I kind of figured super cool. Then Mister Lonely from the One and Only Harmony Krinn from two thousand and seven got a release through IFC Films, which is really cool.

This is one I believe that also sold out very very quickly. This says, only Harmony Krin could weave Michael Jackson, Marilyn Monroe, her daughter Shirley Temple, and Flying Nuns into a hypnotically funny and truly poignant tale of the instability behind fanaticism and the redemption we can hope to find in one another. The film follows a lonely Michael Jackson impersonator who is invited by beautiful Marilyn Monroe to a commune in the Scottish Highlands full of other impersonators, including the

Queen of England, Madonna, Sammy Davis Junior, James Dean. In a parallel storyline. The incomparable Werner Herzog plays a Latin American priest who learns his missionary of nuns can literally fly. I feel that if I am to find redemption through another, it may well be through you. Ryan. Can you say that one more time? I feel that if I am to find redemption through another, it may well be through you. I'm trying to process if that's a compliment or an insult. I don't know. And this is why

we work well together. If you were to be a celebrity impersonator, what celebrity would you impersonate? Looking at my physique? I don't know. Bert Kreischer, Uh, what about you? Uh? Oh my physique? Mm hmmm. I think if I uh, I think, I think I could probably do. I could probably do Liam Neeson like desperately shouting into a phone, but I was gonna kill somebody or no, I'd be like in an ice truck or on a plane. Liam Neeson one of the lesser Nissan vehicles.

This one is gonna have an audio commentary by a new visual on this by Sam Dean in a booklet with new writing by Kyle Turner. Forty minutes of deleted scenes and a making of featurette. Yeah. I don't think we've talked about Harmony Crin much either, do you Do you appreciate anything from Harmony Krinn? I feel like that's not a will filmmaker. You know. I liked spring Breakers and I didn't expect to and interesting. Several other of those

films I haven't actually seen yet. I had kind of a complicated relationship with kids when it first came out, which was in my late teens, So I think I'll need to kind of Dorine again, Corin again, Corin again. Stan. I do have a feeling we're gonna get Ago Drift on Physical eventually. What is that? It's his brand new film that premiered in a strip club earlier this year. People keep bringing that movie up and I forget what it is, and I'm like, oh, the strip club movie.

Yes, I agree. We do need Gummo and Blu Ray please Warner Archive. Gummo is the one that Vernon Hertzog is in that as well, right, I think so? Yeah, it's someone from the mid nineties, so he was probably a little more apt to do it then. I like Vernon Hertzog. Let's go to our next title. Which is film desk putting out the plot against Harry Michael Romer, you're excited about this or anything you want

to say, never seen before, you know, read about it. It's one of those kind of hard to find critical cult movies, you know, like it's always had such praise, but I've never seen before, so I'm looking forward to it. Julian donkey Boy, that was I was thinking of Dallas's harmony. Krin is non horror. Rob Zomby, Well that's not to me. That's not good. Is that good for it? As a complimentary ansel, everybody's say a Julian donkey Boy. Let's see. Yes it is

Warner Brothers. So yeah, the plot against Harry. This is from nineteen seventy, directed by Michael Romare. We've got Q and A moderated by A. Zizzel Jacobs in twenty twenty three. Michaelramare and Robert M. Young in conversation from two thousand and five audio interview with Nicholas Sciata from nineteen ninety new trailer, thirty two page booklet with photographs and writing. Yeah, see, look at all those fancy critics they got for writing Yorker Village Voice premiere.

That's what I was talking about. Yeah, yeah, all right, Going to the next one. Memory is putting out Rat Film from twenty sixteen. This says, across walls, fences and alleys, rats not only expose our boundaries of separation, but make homes in them. Rat Film is a feature length documentary that uses the rat as well as the humans that love them, live with them, and kill them, to explore the history of Baltimore, Maryland. I'm a rat problem in Baltimore. It's always been a people problem.

Yeah, who says that. The rat king, Yeah, sees a bunch of rat says like, you know what the problem is people? Who's going in there? You know what? We need to do this from the brats perspective. See, this is when the wo agenda goes too far from me. You know what, and you know, you know who's fought this, says Pixar. Pixar raised an entire generation of kids to think it was okay to have rats near their food. Oh man, there's a straight line

from ratitui to this documentary. Firmly against it. Craig says, it's a pretty good documentary. Well, I love the documentary, but this this rat centric attitude. This this rat first. This is gonna have a trailer, deleted scenes, bonus content, and a Q and A with a director and composer. You know what I like. It's a secret in them. This is a good it's a good movie. Yeah. No, I'm definitely gonna

see this documentary. I'm intrigued. Canadian International is releasing Roadkill from nineteen eighty nine. This says at loose ends with life in Toronto. Ramona is abruptly dispatched the wilds of northern Ontario by her mercenary record promoter Boss to retrieve the Children of Paradise, a wayward rock band that has disappeared mid tour. There's

only one problem. She doesn't know how to drive. Armed with only a walkman and the clothes on her back, she embarks on a journey that quickly introduces her to a cavalcade of oddball characters, including a cab driver with ties to Elvis, a film director in search of a muse, a singer who's lost his voice, and an aspiring serial killer determined to make it big. With the help of his motley crue, Ramona hopes to push beyond her limits

and mount a rock and roll show for the ages. This is one of the defining films of the Toronto New Wave and you've got a lot of people in this, including the Ramones, Cowboy Junkies, Nash the Slash, Children of Paradise, more, a new commentary with Paul Krupocnne, Exploitation dot Com and Jason Pachonski. There's an archival commentary on this rebel cinema, a new interview with McKellar on this, new interview with Valerie Bougeiser, a new interview

with Brunton. There is a new interview with the cinematographer, a career spanning interview with Bruce McDonald from twenty eighteen, and then a making of doc from two thousand and six with the booklet with a new interview with former TIFF senior programmer Steve Gravestock. This feels like a Will movie. I Love Pontypool by Bruce McDonald. I really hope Canadian Internationals got that soon. But I gotta tell you a lot of people all know this, but Joey Ramoneses time in

Canada was pivotal for the development of the Ramones. Until Joey went to Canada, the song just went, oh, oh, let's go, that's funny. I thought so, I'm sure I eno to lose water out of my nose. Dallas says, no, imagine dragons pass. Just did the audience get that? Probably not. They added the a let's go, I love how much you make yourself laugh? The slip on this one is gone. Standard edition is still in stock, but that will be in print for quite

some time. Looks like a fun release. The hottest release of this weekend, though, was The Sadness on four K from Shudder, the new partner label from last month or the month before. This is one that has been on four K previously in Germany, but this is the first HD release of this in the States, and this is a great movie. There's a brand

new feature audio commentary with the director on this and the composers. There's archival commentary on this as well, and then another feature audio commentary that's brand new with Simon Abrams. We've got four previously released featurettes, a new featurette called The Production, new visual essay by Sam Deagan, two exclusive short films to this, and then a booklet with new writing by Brandon Strusing, as well

as exclusive storyboards and a Gore guide. Not only did the slip and box sell out on this, but then the standards sold out, and just today they restocked with more than a thousand in stock and it's still selling very very well. Wow. Yeah, I want to say I think I'm gonna stream it first, just to did you ever see this one? You haven't seen it yet, not yet, not yet. So this movie is pretty damn great. This is, for some reason, like one of the more one

of the more sadistic films that I've actually walked away going. I think I enjoyed that. I don't know why. It's just it feels differently than some of the others. It's good. I hope people check it out. Ryan from the New World Pictures podcast that I just had the Rock and Roll High School director on a Roger Corman tribute episode. I have another interview coming soon all about Rock and Roll High School, and of course, of course that's Alan R. Kush Man. That that video that I watched from Ryan is

great. I really hope people are checking out the New World Picture podcast, especially right after Corman's passing. Next up from OCN is another one from Film Movement called Shanghai Triad again, I believe this disc was released by them previously, and this is just hey, here's a slipcover release. It was yeah, okay, so this one, it's the exact same disc. And then we got a booklet with a new essay by film critic and lecturer John Barra.

There's a Trouble in Shanghai visual essay by Grady Hendrix on that disc as well. Some things I do recall, and I do recall that I have their earlier release of Shanghai Triad. This is a big one because it's a jangamao and the Imprint box set Collaborations had this in that box set as well. So just more eyes on good cinema that's been hard to find. Yeah. Next up six in Paris from Icarus Films, which is the brand new

partner label to OCN this month. This is from nineteen sixty five. Any thoughts on this will Oh yeah, I mean I'm less familiar with the less familiar directors, but obviously she Browl and Guitard and Romer megot worth our while I honestly don't know the other three directors, so I have to check their workout. But yeah, this was the other title that I ordered on the

the day of the drop. I ordered three titles. We got nineteen sixty five interviews with Barbie Schroeder, Jean Rouche and Eric Kramier, originally aired on Swiss TV. Yeah, it should look good. I like slop cover on this too. M looks very French sixties. Yeah. Next up is Supermarket coming on four K. This is coming from Subculture in Germany. This is the Ocean Partner label that has released one film in three years, like one film every year for three years that they've put out. This is now their

third title, and this is supposed to be another good one. Yep, that's their second title. What was their first one? The first one was the Western. It's like a German Western. Yeah, I missed that one. I went out of print so fast. If you're wanting that, let me know. I've got the German release of that, I can let you. Yeah. Probably last thing I need is another disc in this house deadlock. That's the title, Thank you, but yeah, we'll talk about it.

This one is strictly limited. There will not be a standard edition of this disc pressed, So if you want this one, get it before it sells out. And as far as I'm aware this one has not sold out yet. I will check real quick again to make sure that I'm not wrong, just like I was about all of the Craig stuff. No, there's

still a thousand of this one left. This one has a great reputation, critical reputation, but I've never seen it, so I wish to this one says in order to survive on the rough streets of Hamburg, eighteen year old Willie gets Sorry gets by with small time racketeering. After an arrest, the authorities decide to send him to a reformatory, but he escapes from police custody and falls into the clutches of a pimp, who sends him to the gay

sex trait. At the same time, Willy meets a journalist who draws him into hopeless resocialization projects, primarily to improve his own life. When Willy falls in love with the girl, who seems to be even worse off than he is, he sets his mind on freeing her from her dreariness and running away with her. But the accumulated problems are so great that this past catches up

with him in a dramatic way. This one, we'll have an audio commentary by Roland Click some archival interviews, a couple of new interviews, and then a reversible sleeve. Of course, Sweet looks great. The Sweet East is coming this month from Utopia. This is when they've been sort of teasing at for a while. It also came out with a comic zine that was limited to one hundred and that sold out fairly quickly. Of course, here's the

back of the slip. This is directed by Sean Price. Williams has Simon Rex and ao A Debris in this, a couple names that have gotten pretty big over the last couple of years. Also has Annie Lanakis, a name that hasn't been big in many years. There's only one big name in that movie, and that's Gibbie Haynes. I was about to say that, but I'll be curious. You know Nick Cave's young boy is then that's I'll be

interested in seeing how he does. This looks a little precious for me, not normally the kind of thing that I would do, But I'm a Gibbie Haynes's completest. And it is streaming on Hulu right now if you want to check it out. I did expert to my cue. Thanks for that, Ronnie. I always appreciate that. To the Moon is this one's title from a Yellow Veil Pictures and man, is this slipcover a pretty interesting design? Hold on, I'm looking up. Who Jacob the Lord he is? Oh?

Yeah, yeah, I like him? You know he looks like the kind of guy that cheat of you, cheat on your heartbeat though it is he gets enough attention. Yeah, he's got that. It looks like a sexy version of that guy from Parks and rec what's his name? Ben? Oh? I don't can't even Adam Scott? Right? Yeah? Yeah, party down guy, yep, yeah, what's up? Zepam? To the

Moon. To the Moon is from twenty twenty one and says a weekend of healing for Dennis and Mia becomes a hallucinatory nightmare when Dennis's a strange brother arrives and begins to distort their sense of reality. It's gonna have an introduction by the director, commentary by the director and actor Will Brill, behind the scenes featurette with interviews of the cast and crew, an essay by Alexandra Heller Nicholas, and a new poster art. Boy, I'll tell you one thing.

If I'm on a healing trip and my estranged. Anybody shows up, it's over. Uh. Sumner says, this sounds like what happens when Jeremy comes to this. I agree Craig with that title. That should be uh, that should be trademarked. Craig's Craig's comment, that's great. Oh man, everybody's making Jacob Lordie jokes. Now. Uh. The next title is from

the Canalog and they're putting out Tramps. From twenty twenty two. There was an exclusive come on scroll over seven inch bundle that sold out very quickly, with this limited to only sixty Wow and this says we were the product. They were loud, they were dangerous, they were fabulous. Called blitz kids and peacock punks by a confused tabloid press, a new class of proudly out and ultra youths changed the face of London in the nineteen seventies and nineteen eighties.

Based with a repressive, traditional and colorless UK, a group of misfits refashioned society and a more beautiful and strange image. For mcclaim. Documentarian Kevin Haig comes Tramps, the story of the kids that would come to be called the New Romantics, who used music art fashion and film to create a revolutionary

New London scene. With testimony from legendary personalities like Judy Blame, Princess Julia, Andrew Logan, John Maybury, and Michael Costiff, among others, Tramps pieces together a history of the people responsible for turning London from a post war ruin into a teeming site of creativity, love and rebellion through style. That's fantastic. Yeah, I definitely want to see this. Love me some boy,

George. This has an audio commentary the Director, moderated by Jay Chiel, extended interview with Andrew Cchiskowski and Zue Carrington of The Roxy, extended interviews with Judy Blame. Under the influence an eight millimeter film directed by John Scarlett Davis featuring an all new music score by Cat Duma, and then an archival

photo gallery. And yeah, this one sounds pretty great. Yeah, I see, I agree with staying geezy this the lorded kid looks like a scrawny kind of went yeah, like I'm not Yeah, I hear you want to fight him or something? What now? Yeah, that's the thing I don't want on some like milk toast. Well, so don't think he missing a lip Oh man, hey, I'm gonna go to the next one. That's a thin lip. You know, they don't fill in. They get they they were, they were tracked. As you get older, you gotta think

about that. That's a thin lip right there. Oh boy, it's great. That's the kind of thing I can definitely get excited about. Dallas is linky to be seated equals hot. I did also apply to gen X models, but uh, similar to Simpler, says, he's for people who think Timothy Shallow may need to eat a sandway. Wow, Well, which one is he? Is? He the He's the one from Wonka and uh has called you by your name and everything say the more. Uh, I'm glad

that Wonka was enough. Wonka was enough. We didn't need another Wonka. Still we got two Wonka's. You know what's crazy? Three walks. Not to go off on a wild tangent, but the original Willy Wonka was made like super low budget and it was not a great adaptation of the doll story. It wasn't. And then the Burton one came and it got like this giant budget and was a pretty favorable adaptation. And people hated that one and

loved the original Yeah, that's it. Just yeah, yeah, I think the gene Wilder version actually dialed down how off putting and creepy roll doll books actually are right and made them seem palatable. In fact, they're quite unpleasant and mean. They really are, which is why it's the Burton One's a closer adaptation. Yeah, closer doesn't necessarily appeal. I'm not saying better,

and I'm not saying like it should be anything. It's just interesting that that that didn't get more love and the original got all the love when in a lot of these adapts tation cases, people hate the ones that are further away from the original. Just an interesting thing to point out. I always think the most completely different mediums, you know, like Cronenberg's adaptation of Naked Lunch, that was perfect. You know, you're not adapting the literal words.

You're adapting the feel and the and the and you're you're telling a whole new story in a whole new way. So hard to argue with that. Tramps very creative time. Love Derek Jarmond all Right, Circle Collective is putting out with Love and a major organ from twenty twenty two. This is a pretty

good looking slip cover. I like this. This says in a world where everyone's heart is an object and there's a strong societal pressure to dampen emotion, lonely virtual insurance broker Annabelle always follows her heart at odds with this overly pragmatic society, and after a series of devastating emotional blows, she rips her heart from her chest and gives it to a man she's fallen for, the strangely unfeeling George. Unburdened by her unique yet cumbersome heart, annabel finds life easier.

George, on the other hand, begins to feel everything, to the shock of his overbearing mother Mona. Annabel soon realizes she needs to get her heart back if she's going to survive. Soon. She realizes that soon. Yeah, it's a different world. Will that a good shot? I don't understand what you just read. It's an abstract piece. This is gonna have a bipop credits podcast with Andy Wong. Interview with the director Kim Albright,

actor Donna Benedicto. There's an interview with Kim Albright and Anna McGuire. One of my stories at the Fantasia Film Festival with Lindsay Dunn, a conversation with Kim Albright, Anna McGuire, a fest track on circ TV with Tim Wassberg, some more interviews at Fantasia Film Festivals, Parts one and two. Mike Lo O'Keefe, who is a fan friend of the channel, been on his channel a couple of times. He did his Mystic and Severe with the director

Kim Albright. You can check that out on this disc. Ai FF podcast series with Rhys Waters, interview with the writer Julia Ederer and the director Kim Albright, and Mandelin Davis and Anna McGuire, and then just lots that. We've got more commentaries, red carpet interviews, a blooper reel. There's kind of a lot on this disc. This looks like a pretty good release.

I'll tell you what it springs to mind. Two things. One the episode of One Tree Hill where the estranged dad is getting a heart transplant and they're bringing the heart in a cooler and they guy trips and the heart flies out of the cooler and then a dog eats it. And that was one of the greatest moments in One Tree Hill history. Great moment out of many great moments. I love that show. But the other thing, and this is

a total turn. You know, this looks interesting and I'm going to see it, but I don't like it when artists in any medium tell me that we need love. I know that we all know that that's not the problem. Do we all know that? Because there are some people that I feel like don't. Everybody knows that we need love, and those who say we don't are just trying to deal with the fact that they don't have it. But the problem is getting it, you know what I mean? Yeah,

I need a movie that tells me how to get love. You know, like, what do you do when you're socially repulsive? What happens to those people? Nobody's going to rip her heart out first for that person, but that person needs love? Where's that movie? Where's the compassion for the repulsive, obnoxious and off putting people who also need love? Do you need a hug, sir? I'm fine, I got all kinds of it, oh man? All right? Moving right along. Then, on the Vinegar Scendroom

website for all of their partner labels. For partner label only month, they have the story of Wave Productions Mail Order Murder on VHS from Degausser The Sweet East On VHS from Degausser Heavy Metal Parking Lot Ringer t this VHS hit fest T, which is pretty rad skateboard screen print that they did. You wish was that? I wish that. I wish that was a T shirt. Yeah, that'd be a good shirt. And then Utopia socks to keep adding

to everybody's soccer collection. Somebody in the chat get Ryan some Utopia socks. There. One size fits all, it won't work. Oh is that? Like? Okay, that's the big thing. One size fits all that maxes out at like size eleven or twelve for mill sizes. That's false advertising, you can see. I wish it'd be funny if you bring down OCNT about the sock sizes. Oh man, even night I saw on the Man,

I'll tell you what I love. One Tree Hill. I'm sorry that that showrunner was abusive to everybody, but on the show every night was a chef kiss, just everything about it. I guess I have to watch One Tree Hill someday. Oh my god, watch it with me. Let's do a One Tree Hill party when we get out to LA. You've never watched One Tree Hill till you watch it then no, not at all. Then over on the mill You scene site, we got some really bad censoring here.

Thanks Instagram, you can order Candice Candy and this French word that I'm not gonna be able to say. This is a double feature from nineteen seventy five and seventy six. You've got an alt sequence for soft version. You've got all sequence for export version on the On the second feature, you got subs on this and a trailer. Someone tells me this gal is just not that serious about her job. Oh man, so many fans of One Tree Hill in the chat tonight. I love it. It was a great show.

If you're the right age and watch One Tree Hill. Also on the mill You scene site from the Command Cinema line, you got Heavy Load and Lecture from nineteen seventy five and seventy three. This is the second of the hardcore features from Chuck Vincent. Sounds the title sounds like a diagnosis when you're from the fertility clinic you're trying to get pregnant. I'm sorry man, that your husband has a heavy load. It's a rare condition and difficult to treat heavy

load syndrome. Oh jeez, this has trailers on the disc and that is it in terms of features. But they are two case scans and restorations from the OCN and then finally agfuzz outing. This month was over on the Miliuscene site and not on Vinegar Syndrome. They are putting out sex Demon and other hauntings. This is from nineteen seventy one to seventy five and sounds kind of

amazing. This has lost for decades and now found. Sex Demon is an erotic grotesquery that was openly inspired by the Exorcist and Abby John gives Jim his lover a medallion as an anniversary gift, but all hell breaks loose, literally when the medallion causes Jim to become possessed by a sex demon and wreak havoc on New York's gay cruising spots. Never released on home video j C. Cricket Sex Demon is a crucial piece of queer horror history that has been preserved

from a sixteen millimeters release print. Plus the triple X rated hauntings continue with Deadly Blows and ten thirty Pm Monday, two formally lost horror films that also make their uncut home video debuts. In the words of Gay Scene critic Bruce King. The squeamish may not want to watch, but if you do, you won't forget. Oh hey, I got a joke. What did the bisexual guy say when he heard agfa's announcement of Sex Demon? What did he

say? Well, you know, I think I can get behind that this is a bisexual I got it. So this is going to be a region free. We've got Sex Demon, which is fifty eight minutes preserved from a sixteen millimeter theatrical print. Commentary by Elizabeth Purchell and kJ Sheppard on that. Deadly Blows is fifty two minutes preserved from a sixteen millimeter theatrical print. We had a partial commentary by Elizabeth Purchell. Ten thirty pm Monday, is a

sixty minute film preserved from a sixteen millimeter theatrical print. We had a partial commentary by Elizabeth Purchill on there, and then we got trailers from agfa's video vault. This seems like an incredible release. Yeah, that's awesome, and again, like so much credit goes I'm glad to say act for doing it too, but I always appreciate, especially in the early days of Pikorama, paying attention to queer adult movie Cay cinema. Yeah, fact, it's been

a while, so I'm glad to see it coming back. Did you need the giggle? A you said that coming on my back? Oh? Oh god, I don't even know what to say. Well, this just goes to show though. But those uh, you know, those people that think homosexuality and queerness is caused by demons and whatnot. Do you ever tell a story about you don't finish your thought? Okay, never tell the story about.

So this, uh, this documentary film studio I worked at in eastern Kentucky, some team there was a program that trained teenagers how to use the film equipment so they go out and make their own documentaries. And this was back in like early two thousands, right, like two thousand and two three, something like that. Maybe even earlier than that, might have been late

nineties. But they made a document short documentary called Through Their Eyes and it was about the lives of queer people living in the Appalachian region, where, of course a lot of traditional religious views. And they interviewed this guy who was like, I want to say, early sixties, and he was in his early sixties and he was telling a story about how his church had held him down on the floor, right, like this was a they did,

like an exorcism. They put him down on the floor and he had to close his eyes while they prayed the gay out of them, right, And he's telling the story and he says, you know, and I closed my eyes and I listened to them, and I've I felt everything to feel, and you know it's going on. And they prayed and prayed and prayed, and when I opened my eyes, I saw the most beautiful man I'd ever seen. Those of the great interview moments I've ever seen in a documentary.

That's fantastic. It was what a great guy. All right? That is it for OCN for partner only month. I know there's always questions about this, So just to remind everybody, Vinegar Syndrome titles are just simply not visible

on the Vinegar Syndrome website until the end of June. July first, they will be back with the new random announcements and everything will be available to purchase, and it's going to be a subscriber week where they sell the second half of the year subscription for everybody for that first week of July as well, humbled horror honeys off to watch One Tree Hill. Hey, you got to make the investment because some of the later season just get crazy. You got

to give Chad Michael Murray time to burrow into your heart. I support all Chads. Chad Michael Murray. That was from the He was like late era three first name teen actor. Yep, you know, following in the footsteps of Jonathan Taylor Thomas and all those Zachary Tay bryantson, all those other psychopaths from Home Improvement. I think JK T turned out okay though, him and the mom and the only ones that escape. I think so all right. Going to our next one, Rules of Engagement is coming on four K from

Keno Over at some point. This is with Tommy Lee Jones and Samuel L. Jackson. Guy, here's Ben Kingsley, Bruce Greenwood, Blair Underwood, Philip Baker Hall directed by the one and only William Friedkin. I'm sure you've seen this one. Will Have you seen this? I have not? Oh really, but I'm gone. I didn't even realize that Freakin had directed it. That was during a period where I just wasn't up on my Friedkin. I guess but oh, how about that good for Sophia. But Tommy Lee

and Sam Jackson and a war movie. Hell yeah, in a serious war movie with the rest of that cast too. Yeah, this is a good movie. I'll take your word doing it. Let's see next Ease from Third Window Films in the UK on August twelfth, We Are Getting Your Lovely Smile from twenty twenty two is a bittersweet, hilarious and lightning and inspirational road trip through Japanese art house cinemas with independent filmmaker Hiro Boomy Watanabe, who also struggles

to release his own movies in real life. This delightful, minimalist micro budget dramedy ironically and truthfully depicts a sorrowful post COVID situation and Japanese cinema is the rapidly changing film culture and the newly rediscovered habits of spectators. As an unyielding optimist hero, Boomy painstakingly and stubbornly strives to invent clever distribution methods while keeping on striving to make his movies. Oh this looks cool, looks cool,

sounds a little bit depressing. We got an interview with the director Lim Kha Why We've got an interview with film festival programmer Yoshi Yatabe, deleted in extended scenes and a trailer. Third Window Films always puts a lot a love on other releases. I definitely want to check this out. Yeah. One Tree Hill known well for low talker actresses. Yeah, uh, Sophia Bush, low talker? Whoever that? Who's that woman that played Peyton? She's married

to Megan. She's a low talker. Mhm, what's her name? I never saw One Tree Hill, so I'm not sure. Do you don't know who's married to Megan? Nope? Meagan wife. Yeah, you just googled Meagan wife? Did it work? Yeah, Hilary, I see. I never would have got that name ever. Yeah, Oh, Ronnie got it. My sister went to summer school with her. Interesting mm hmm, all

right, are you ready to do some shouts? Announced that on August twentieth, we are getting a four K release of The Last Unicorn from nineteen eighty two. Yes, this is gonna have new four K transfer and a new profile of Peter S. Beagel, but no other new special features. It's gonna be this. The the rest will be the same as their other Blu ray release they did except in four K. This looks good to me. I don't have the earlier release, so I'll just go straight to this one.

Nice. I think I'm still rocking the DVD of this. Next up, Poulter Guys too getting the four K treatment. This one does not have any new special features as far as I can see, and they are not working on anymore as far as I can see. They just announced it with nothing new, and there it is. I'm gonna go back to the last Unicorn because I had the same question that Craig has. What did Craig say? What did the arrows indicate? It is a double sided poster? Oh?

Both of that artwork? You know, I've I've talked about this before. I double sided posters. Uh stressed me out because the choice like do you again? You do you rotate it? Then you? Uh? I just just give me two posters, charging me extra couple of bucks. I get it. Hey, who directed Poultry guys to any controversy on that bullshit? Oh? Man, that made me laugh really hard. I don't I don't even know who directed Poltar guys to? Who did it? Damn right?

Uh? What's it saying? You don't know if Poultry Guys III is likely going to be coming on four K eventually, if they're willing to do this, when I'm sure they'll do that. They're one directed by Brian Gibson. Uh, who did Still Crazy? What's that? I have no idea? Not a song. I thought it was a comedy. I'm not sure. Oh well, a cover art doesn't look too good, but it's got Stephen Ray and Billy Connolly. Some assume it's a British guy doing an American

poultry Geist. Interesting After Poultrygeist, we also got the Delta Force on four K g Norris four kuh, So this one incredibly bare bones four K release, dropped all of the Scorpion extras and they're not working on any new extras. That sucks. I would have talked about this one for well well past the running time to two commentaries for film. I mean, the guy shoots a missile out of his motorcycle. But that's a great movie. That's a

great cinematic moment. So this is coming on four K on August thirteenth from Shout Okay and then following that Evil Dead, the twenty thirteen film is getting a four K Steel book. As usual, Shout could have released this earlier with the other four K they did of this already, but they're choosing to release this later, So now people have to either double dip if they want a steal book of this, or just choose to not buy it, which

is what a lot of people are probably gonna do. I love this film, but I already have the four K they did, and this is an identical film or an identical release. I like the Belile cameo there in the background. It is a nice steal, I gotta admit, and the posters nice. That'd be a cool You know, we don't have enough monster crossover movies anymore. I fully agree. I would love to see basket Case Evil Dead. Yeah, that'd be funny. I don't know why, but when

you said that, I was thinking Belile and Beetlejuice. Just call it Belile Juice. Oh what's what do you think about that Beetlejuice sequel? I don't know, honestly, I'm kind of hopeful about it. I guess uh Ash wants to know when is Trick or Treat four K, Silent Scream, four K, Dust of a four K and April Fool's Day four K coming out eventually, that's the answer. We don't have dates on any of them. Uh, Nick Amedes, what's the allure of steel books? Do you have

any steel books? Do you? Are you a fan of any steel book release? You know? I have some, but they're just kind of random. I mean they if I drop them, I'm less concerned, and funny enough, you probably should be more concerned. Yeah. Actually, as I said, realized all they're heavier, they'll probably smash everything inside. A steel books are supposed to have special art on them, and they're supposed to be nice, like I've got I don't know if you can see down there,

I've got steel books visible on display on the wall. I like steel books just fine. I don't know that I prefer them anymore. I think this is one. They're a steel book of Dune. Dune yep, But I mean I don't care. Yeah, I get that. As long as it looks nice, I'm not gonna double dip for packaging. I agree at this point. Yeah, speaking of steel books, this was a Best Buy exclusive

and now it's gonna be released widely. We're getting the Becker Steelbook on August sixth, available everywhere, just in case you didn't pick that up before. It's spreading. It is spreading the virus. Same thing with Dragonheart. This was a Walmart exclusive, but now it will be everywhere on August sixth, in a four K steel book. Ronald Reagan versus James Bond, Dragonheart. I'm excited about this one. Shout Select releasing Observe and Report on August thirteenth,

this one. They are working on extras four and we don't know what they're gonna be yet. Is that sarcasm? Are you? Are you excited about Observing Report? I really like this movie. This is a great movie. Yeah, it got a little overblown because of fucking Paul Blart Mall Coop releasing at the same time, and Paul Blart was a massive hit and this

was not. And Paul Blart was awful, awful. I haven't seen Paul Blart, but this is dark, and I you know, and I well, I don't want to spoil anything for anybody, but it's exactly the kind of thing that I find emotionally satisfying. It's a good movie and a good cash seth Rogen, Anna Faris, Michael Penia, Rayleiota, Anna Faris is incredible in this movie, one of her best. Mm hmm, how's that for a Chris Pratt reference. Somebody was complaining that we didn't talking about Chris

Pratt. I'm team Anna. Moving on to the next. This is a big deal. August twentieth, Shout Select has Death to Smoochy coming on Blu ray for the first time in the world. They say, extras in progress and we'll be announced later. Please do something decent for this film. Why is this a big deal? Because this is a great movie and it's never been released and people have been after this for a long time. I've never heard anybody say that before this, and like The Bird Cage and a couple

others, this was like box office poison, wasn't that? Yeah, And now it's a cult classic. I don't know that's true. I bet lots of people in the chat are gonna want this one. This is the Robin Williams, Edward Norton, Danny DeVito joined and will doesn't care one bit. I guess let's talk about Pee Wee's Playhouse. Then, uh, Shout just got the rights back for this and they are re releasing their complete series of Pee Wee's Playhouse. And now this is where this gets a little controversial,

and I'm gonna I'm gonna not be attacking Shout too too much tonight. But speaking of pretty shitty behavior from a label, Uh, Shout knew that they were announcing this this last week, but about ten days ago, Shouts started selling Pee Wee's Playhouse on eBay from their official Shout Studios account. That is actually kind of shitty for one hundred and fifty dollars in the old cardboard box case that came in and now you can buy it from them directly brand new

for eighty dollars without the cardboard sleeve. And they knew they were about to do that. That's subterfuge right there. That is so so ridiculous that they would do that. That's ethically dubious, dubious, dubious. I don't know that it's dubious. Well, I mean, if they had ethics, they would have been like first edition blowout and sold it cheaper, right. Yeah,

That's what I would have done because I have addicts. Uh so this this is the thing they're selling just a box at a Peaks playoff now for eighty dollars, or you can get this bundle here with everything you see here, of course, which is the complete series eight disc set Retro Trading Cards fun pack with five five retro trading cards, Pee Wee's playoffs, four x three inch magic screen, lenticular card, retro Prism stickers, and then a

gutter garbs and Shout Factory exclusive enamel pin set. The box set is eighty dollars. How much do you think this whole package is will an unethical amount? Just guess the box set is eighty How much is everything together? I'm gonna go with two thirty nine fairly close. One hundred and eighty dollars. Oh that was my first stop. Then I was like, nah, they'd probably charge more one hundred and eighty dollars for three stickers, five cards,

a magnet sheet and five pins. You don't even get a prism. They should go to Prism. I tell you, though, I you know, we agree about the ethics thing, but do you know what ethics gets you self satisfaction but also debt, home insecurity and career dead ends. That's what it gets you. On top of that, Ryan from New World says, now, I'm curious what kind of morally dubious actions they take with Corman's back catalog now that Corman's gone, charging thirty six dollars with no special features.

That's one thing, plus shipping plus on top of all that. I don't know if we should spoil this or anything like that, but there is a copyright that just showed up that makes it appear as if Shout has a Bava box set coming what so we have that to come in our future potentially. They're also doing Bill and Ted's most triumphant trilogy, with all three of the Bill and Ted films on four K. We've got commentaries on all of them, We've got Dolby Vision on all of them, four K scan of all

of them, and a bunch of special features that we had previously. But this is the first time that Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey has been on four K or blu ray by itself because they're also doing it by itself. They're also doing the new one Bill and Ted Face the Music by itself as well. How do you feel about Bill and Ted? We never talked about Bill and Ted, So unless I'm missing something, this one's ethically okay, right.

Oh, Not only that they made a good choice for the first time, right, because they only had the first one in four K. Now it's all three on four Canna box. Yes, I recall really liking the first one when I was a kid, and the second one I mostly liked as a kid because it had faith no more in it. Well, I need to see him again. I haven't seen the third one yet, so I don't think I've seen the third one yet either. It was on Hulu. It was like a Hulu excusive. Speaking of exclusives, We've got two

Amazon exclusives to talk about coming on July thirtieth from Tribeca Films. First one is Mary Heilman. New York based artist Mary Hylmand is one of the most influential American abstract painters of her time. Heilman's work has been exhibited throughout the world in museums such as the Whitney, Dia Beacon, and MoMA. This documentary offers a visually immersive journey through her life, using rare archival material and

in studio footage to explore the artist's mind and practice. Sounds like a bunch of shit that I don't understand, but I would try to. Also On July thirtieth, one that is probably more a pure alley. We get Nude Tuesday from twenty twenty two. In an effort to rekindle the spark in their troubled marriage, Laura and Bruno head to a couple's retreat run by relationship and sexual healing guru Bjorg, plagued by miscommunication New Tuesdays and utterly singular excursion into

naturism and self discovery. Both of those are Amazon exclusives. Too bad, it's not Byork that would be interesting. It's true, you know what I actually liked. They're gonna hammer me in the comments and in the and in life. Yes, couples retreat, the vent's fall. Yeah, it was really funny. That's it. I like that story my life. Mom My mom says, omg, there's so many tonight I want and cannot afford nor have room to store. Interesting. She pops in right when Nude Tuesday pops

up. Next up is a launch of Aaron West and Jill Blake's Senate Journeys. So this is a friend of the show Aaron West and Jill Blake. They are doing brand new like film journey Excursion together. Basically, they were doing the Criterion Now podcast, which was founded in twenty seventeen and they decided to create Sinate Journeys after seeing changes in the online film communities and social media

that were super negative. They wanted more engagement in the form of thoughtful discussion and camaraderie, but realized that what they wanted did not exist, so they set forth on building it. So this is a site you can go to and go on journeys with them. A journey is best described as an exploration into a film genre, director, actor, or era. Each journey is led by a guide who will provide insights and commentary on the chosen topic while

facilitating discussion with those who have registered for that journey. There is a page that you can register for specific journeys and check it out. There is a membership fee for like doing all of the journeys at once, or you can just do a basic free membership and you can get as much as you put into it. And uh, yeah, there's a lot of work they did into this. But they're also bringing back the Criteria Now podcast, which is

gonna make a lot of people excited. Check it out. Also, little secret they're gonna be on the channel here, so doing an interview about send a journey, So you got more coming about that. Like I said, Bill and Ted face the music. This is also getting a standalone for K release. And then Barnes and Noble is hosting two different sales right now, one on AMC and Shutter titles and one on Keno Laber titles. And the big thing is the Keno Laber titles are for brand new current titles, so

check that out. Yeah, there's a lot that you might want to take a peek at, especially on the Shutter side. They were like shockingly cheap, like ten or eleven bucks for lots of the Blu rays. I think another online Behriemouth is doing some price matching or undercutting. What's true? They are price matching, yes, because I just ordered High Noon four K. My mom wanted to clarify. She typed slowly and she was trying to say that when Bill and Ted was on the screen, that's way sexier. Speaking

of sexy. A twenty four putting out a four K and Blu ray release of Love Lies Bleeding from this year, the excellent movie from Rose Glass. This is getting the A twenty four site exclusive release. This is gonna have a filmmaker commentary with Rose Glass and the co writer Veronica Tofilska in the Land of Guns and Muscles featurette. Sex Steroids and Codependency featurette. Behind the scenes photography by Beth Garabin, to Anna Kourus and Grace Pickering. You can check

this out now and it's It's surprisingly fairly priced. I know a lot of people do not love it shopping a twenty four because they're usually super overpriced. Orkay for this is thirty five bucks, which is right in line with every other boutique. Yeah, this is a great movie. Those stills look like an Orville Peck music video. It kind of feels like it in some scenes. I haven't seen it, but I did watch Kristen Stewart day drinking with Seth Meyers a couple. It is pretty good. Respect Yeah, I think

many people would like this movie. I would say check it out if you are interested. Um oh man uh. We got a zabie UK exclusive collector's edition of Beetlejuice coming in a four K steal book on September thirtieth. No new features just a bunch of fancy packaging. Two Prime, Why no three Prime, No no writer releases, all right, Prime Love Love love, uh Man, lots of Love for Love, livees bleeding Love. That cool. Dallas says, if Orville Peck wrote an album inspired by eightie Shee Hulk

comics, I could nice. I could hear that. Uh. Next up another UK exclusive, Blazing Saddles four K coming in this crazy over the top package. We don't have a release date on it, but you can pre order it now. You've got the film in four K steel book with artwork to be confirmed, but it'll likely be pretty close to that. You got a rigid slipcase, you got all kinds of art cards and double sided posters

and all that crap. This will likely get a US release. But what's crazy is Warner keeps giving these these extravagant releases to their big titles in the UK, and then the US gets like one cut of a film on four K with no extras. Well, to me, they missed a golden opportunity to include a Cannabians. I think that would be really funny packaging extra, maybe as a magnet. I'm sure shipping a Cannabians would not have been great. Well, that's what we'll be with the US release. Like UK gets

all this great stuff and even we get broken cans of beans. What's funny is if you order from Amazon, they'll put the steel book in the canna beans in a box with no packing material. I'll just run. Yeah, I tell you those Amazon packaging wizards, it's pretty bad. Well, you know, I feel torn because I support unionization, but I also support putting the goddamn packing material in right right. Another one that we were worried about getting released. Just in about a week and a half we got All the

Strangers coming to Blu Ray in the UK from Disney themselves. This is going to have roots of the story building Adam's world as extras and will also come with a poster. This will be region free. I know there were a lot of people looking at this on Diabolic and he says this is a region b disc. It is a region free release. All Disney Blu rays are region free. And then on top of that, the Amazon listing shows that it's region free and the back of the case shows that it's region free.

So if you want this, you can pre order it from Diabolic and maybe Orbit as well, and I know a lot of us are gonna do it. So make sure that you check this out because who knows if this will ever come out in the US. Looks like somebody's coming out on the covers. It's a movie like that. Yeah, nice. I like it when people get tempted, all right? Next up, side effects may vary the next JR. Book Walter film. You can pre order the Blu ray exclusively

right now through Kickstarter. It is going to be a pressed Blu ray through the Kickstarter. When it releases later through Tempe Digital, it'll only be a mod Blu ray. This will also have an exclusive cut of the film, the eighty four minute uncut theatrical version. Later on, it's going to be edited ever so slightly, so if you want the uncut version, check it out on their Kickstarter now. Mm hmmm uh are you a j R. Bookwalter guy? What does that mean? Have you watched many of his films?

Mmm? I don't think so, but I enjoyed I watched. I just watched the interview he did for The Zombie Army, and I thought it seemed like a really interesting guy. Yea, let's started following him on the insta. I'm my, I'm it seems impossible that I haven't given my days at the video store right but I just don't know what what it would have been. I'll have to go and look through his uh filmography see the titles. Jay Ronnie says, Orbit has all of us rangers for cheaper than Diabolic.

F YI what oh he did? Nod yep? Oh Dead next Door? Yeah? Yeah, good stuff. I assumed you had seen Dead next Door at least. I uh oh he did two of the witch Houses. Okay, I gotcha. I always confused The Dead next Door with a full Moon movie. What's that called? No idea? Yeah, things like the Dead Don't Die or something that's the Jim Jarmusch film. I think, Oh that movie sucked, dude. That made me. That made me like reconsider my fandom. The Dead hate the Living is the fast one. I love

the dead, hate the living. I hate the dead don't die. Thank you, Terry h. Next one is one that people have been clamoring for for quite some time, and that is the people's joker. This is coming from Altered Innocence with a Diabolic DVD exclusive slipcover you can pre order now. And this is the front and reverse of the slipcover. And this is the

Inner Arts. This is from twenty twenty two and if you have not seen this, This revolutionary DIY parody film and hilarious reimagining of the classic autobiographical coming of age story follows an unconfident, closeted trans girl as she moves to Gotham City to make it big as a comedian by joining the cast of UCB Live, a government sanctioned the late night sketch show in a world where comedy has been outlawed as mainstream success eludes our heroine, leading her to unite with the

ragtag team of rejects, misfits and a certain love interest named Miss Jay. Joker the Harlequin is born again as a confident and psychotic Joker on a collision course with the city's fascist caped crusader That's a feminizing, chemical sexy cartoon interlude.

Scarecrow, psychiatrist CGI, Lorne Michaels, and psychedelic gender Dysphoria all play supporting roles held by writer director editor Starr Vera Drew and using her own life experience as a basis for the film, The People's Joker is a deeply personal journey that's as much documentary as it is a parody. I like how Richard Brody endorses two movies this week, and it's the plot against Harry and the People's Joker. That's a good range. Respect to Richard Brody. This also

includes the talents of some pretty big names. You've got Tim Heidecker, Bob Odenkirk, Maria Bamford, Scott Ackerman, Lynn Downey, and I think that's all the ones I recognize. You got a twenty four page comic book in this, a comment three different commentary tracks, discussion with Ver Drew and Corpses, Fools and Monsters authors Willow, Caitlin McLay and Caden Mark Gardner, and then a couple other featurettes. And this is supposed to be incredible. No,

yeah, I'm really looking forward to checking that out next up. And yeah, reminding everybody, Diabolic DVD exclusive slipcover on this. It will be available everywhere else on the standard like you can pre order on Amazon. But yeah, if you want that slipcover, check out the Diabolic site. You can already pre order. And then we got Radiance some big, big titles. Oh yeah. September twenty third in the UK, September twenty fourth in

the US and Canada. Tattooed Life from Sejun Suzuki. We get an audio commentary by William Carroll, author of Sajun Suzuki in Post War cinema, newly edited archival interview with Suzuki, newly edited archival interview with the art director to Kao Kimura, a trailer, and then we've got a booklet with new writing by Tom Vick in a newly translated archival review of the film. That's great, love Suzuki. So this is a film that I men i'll get before.

So it's been a while since Criterion did any Suzuki, so I'm sure a lot of people are excited about this an era too. There's still I've got one of their box sets, but there's a missing one that went out of print. But yeah, ah right, next is a man on his knees. I'm sure this is a probably the one will is most excited about this month. Uh. Damiano Damiani is a frickin legend, underappreciated, and I'm so pleased that Radiance has been restoring and releasing so many of Domiani's movies.

I think one of the best filmmakers in terms of depicting the Italian mafia. In fact, almost all of us major films are mafia films. He was a radical political thinker and incredible artist, and everybody should get every Domiani they possibly can. This one we got archival interviews on here, new interviews with Alberto Pizzulta, the author of Reggio Domiano Domiani, and then a booklet with new writing by Roberto Curti, limited to three thousand and Yeah. This

looks pretty dang great. Yeah, this is. And I saw that there was a ten percent discount if you order the entire bundle from Radiance if you order four of the five titles, any four, so that I think that comes up to like sixty nine dollars, which is nice. Yeah, and Ryan agrees with you about Dommiani. All right, Ryan, men you but Dallas's great title definitely feels like June Ronnie said a man on his knees,

another title for Pride Month. I wasn't gonna make a joke about that, but then I was like, nah, you know I've already made some like jokes about like the physical act of coupling that you know, are meant to be in you know, silly and sweet but could be taken as as as ridicule and so I'm gonna let that one go. And then of course somebody I was in I was like, but guess what, we'll good on you. We've been doing this for two hours and forty minutes already and we still

have twenty more titles to go. Are you serious? I'm quit talking. I did not mean that to shut you up. Next title is we Still Kill the Old Way from nineteen sixty seven. I love this cover. Yeah, I love the artwork on this. We host they killed it Ald Way by bothering the guy to death. Leave me hello. This is gonna have a two K restoration archival documentary with the interviews with a bunch of people in there a few other interviews that are archival as well, and then a couple

of new ones. We got a book the new writing on the film by scholar David Wingrove. And again this is a film by Elio Petrie. Looks fricking great, certainly does. Radiance has a problem that all the titles they put out look amazing and I am poor. Now. This next one had an earlier release from was it Kenna Shout Shout? But that's out of print, I believe so. But this is also this one is only coming in the UK September twenty third on the Blu Ray in the UK, we Get

A Quiet Place in the Country by Ello Petrie and this movie. Have you seen this one? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, it's very good. I mean Petri's great. Yeah. So my question is because I didn't get a chance to check, as are the extras different, as the restoration different? There, the restoration will probably be the same, Okay, Sadly there is a new interview by Stephen Thrower on here ooho minutes or so that, and then there's a visual essay by Kat Ellinger on the theme of masculinity in the

film and Petrie's work. There's also a booklet in this with new writing by Simon Abrams. And if you have never seen this movie, this movie is amazing. Yeah, Eleo Petrie does great with this. Vanessa Redgrave, Franco Niro. Anything with Franco Nero is always gonna be good, but this movie is especially great. Chris says this one is missing a commentary from the Shout Factory release. Oh okay, I can't remember who does the shout and I don't I don't know if the Shout version is out of print. Let me

see Wuyett Place in I'm true. Yeah, it is not on the Shout website anymore, so it is likely at a print. Brian says. This movie rips. Next title, they partnered up with Grindhouse Releasing in the UK and they are releasing Death Game together. Oh you went too Fast. The commentary on A Quiet Place in the Country is by friend of the show Troy Hoarth. Nice. So if you have the Shout Factory and I want to hold on to it, very nice. Of course, if you want to

sell it, it's going for about fifty six dollars geez. So yeah. Grindhouse Releasing partnered with Radiance to get their titles out in the UK. The first one is Death Game. As far as I can tell, there's not going to be anything new or exclusive to this. There's a twenty four page full colored booklet with photos and liner notes, but other than that, the disc that they put out in the US is overloaded, just like all of the Grindhouse Releasing discs. They they they choose, you know, alternate films

to put on there. They put old cuts on there, they put trailers on there. They have Easter eggs galore on all of their discs. Grindhouse releasing. They don't put a whole lot, but when they do, you're getting hours and hours and hours of extra content. Deluxe Dallas says, do we prefer Death Game or Knock Knock. I don't know that many people love Knock Knock. I think most people would choose Death Game, But I also think most people still haven't seen death game that has a good double feature.

Frankly, honestly, it works, and it has played that way a couple times. In fact, I think the nupev even did Death Game in Knock Knock. Anyways, going to the next one, Whole Green Pictures. This is the second title from this label. They are putting out Journey from the Fall from two thousand and six on Blu Ray on July tenth. If you go to the Media OCD site, you can get to a store exclusive slip

cover and this is Vietnamese film. April thirtieth, nineteen seventy five, mark the end of Vietnam's two decade old civil war and the art of the exodus of hundreds of thousands of refugees. Despite his alliance to the toppled South Vietnamese government, long Wind decides to remain in Vietnam. Imprisoned in a communist re education camp, he urges his family to make the escape by boat without him. His wife, my son Lai, and mother bon Noy then embark on

the arduous ocean voyage in the hope of reaching the US and freedom. Journey from the Fall Premier does an official selection of the two thousand and six Sundance Film Festival went on to win sixteen international awards, and it is powerful and Unforgettable's supposed to be great. This will also include the symphonic soundtrack CE for this, there's a making of an alternate version, alternate ending, cast and crew commentary, some interviews, original trailer, and all kinds of other extras,

and some AHI photoshop. Yeah, this cover's not good in any semblance of that word. Everything else sounds great, yes, I agree. Going back to Shout Factory, a couple of days after their announcements, they just randomly had a brand new steel book show up on Walmart as Walmart exclusives Return of the Living Dead coming out in a four K steel book on August twentieth, and The Last Unicorn in a four K steel book on August twentieth as

well. Both of those exclusive to Walmart. Both the exact same release as the standard release, So you're not getting anything special on this except for the steel book. Now. I don't want to essentialize any category of people, sure, but I just when I think of people who collect steel books, I don't necessarily think of people who collect the last Unicorn marang on. This is this a reductive? I think there are fans of all kinds of cinema

that collect steel books. I only ever see bros Man. That's because that's what titles mostly get released on steel books. But like all of the let's see, there's all kinds of animation titles, like all kinds of like all of the Pixar titles have been released on steel book. At this point, I have not heard this. Yeah, they're all right there, but movie bros love Pixar. Oh that's a good point too. I don't know the signer got me. That's pretty good. Sivenor says, this is for bro

nees. I hope to meet this signor sometime. Light Bulb Films in the UK is releasing hundreds of Beavers on Blu Ray on July twenty second. This is another one of those films that is just taking Everything by Storm is supposed to be amazing. The filmmaker is teasing a US announcement coming next week, so keep your eyes peeled for that. I'm sure we will hear something. Then, Oh my god. This is this is where a dream starts out really exciting and then turns into a nightmare. Uh, going right along.

Food Ink two is coming on blue ray on July ninth from Magnolia. Now, this is this is odd because like, I enjoyed Food Ink the first one. Did you ever see that first documentary? No, I'm already aware. You're you're already aware of food Yeah, and you know all the problem Well, I've read all the Michael Pollin books and like I'll read it and I'm like, yeah, that's what I gotta do. And then and then you pick up McDonald's. You can't afford it, right, So you know,

quit making documentaries and try to make some policy guys. I just find it odd to go back to the well of a fairly popular documentary a long time later and live off of that name. See seems like an odd well to keep going back to it. That's the problem of factory farming too. They keep going back to the same land until they've ruined it, yes, instead of turning the crops. I'm sure this is a very important and useful amount of information, but the people who need to know it aren't gonna watch

it. This is true. The people who do watch it are gonna be like, yeah, I know right, I only shop on the edges of my grocery store and they wear their canvas bags that take seventeen years before they're freaking have a good impact. You know. So this kind of stuff just like who's this for? You know, it's a good question, all right? This and this one's like, oh, look at all the the sustainable

farming and stuff. Yeah, okay, great. You know I'm not a farmer, and I can't affect any farm policy, you know, can you? You know, what are you doing at the federal and state level to promote sustainable farming? Not a hell of a lot. So is this documentary going to change things? Probably? Not. Another thing that won't. July thirtieth, we are getting a Mod four K release of Black Mass from Warner. It's got the archival features on there and nothing else. Another Johnny Depp

title. I got so mad about something that I actually support, I'm just indifferent. To the Johnny Depth. Then, well, let's talk about a four K title that a lot of people are more excited about. Can't hardly wait from nineteen ninety eight to coming to four K on August twentieth from Sony, which means it's going to look amazing. You've got this coming with Dolby Vision and there are eleven newly uncovered, alternate and deleted scenes coming on this

disc for the first time ever. Have you seen this one? No? I tried it, but I didn't. I didn't relate. It wasn't my kind of teendom. Nothing in it like rang true to me. Oh to my experience, I'm sure, but I know a lot of people are very nostalgic for it. So hooray, it's a good movie. I'm very excited this is coming in four K. Beyond that, the Sony had released a Blu ray just a couple of years ago and went out a print very very quickly, So I'm glad this is gonna be out there. Yeah, this

is a good movie. Yeah, you look concerned about it. I'm just trying to figure out what to say. Yeah, it just wasn't It was more of a Heather's guy. I guess when it comes to high school? All right, everybody should watch. Can't hardly wait. It's fantastic. Except for Will. July thirtieth, we're getting a four K of focus from twenty fifteen, the Will Smith Margot Robbie film. Some archival features on there, and that is it. This is probably gonna be a mod disc as well.

You know, in a high school movie. I did like I like Better Off Dead. It's a good movie. I like comedies about teen suicide, and I mean, it's not like it has to be my experience, but I just I don't know, Like I didn't get it. I didn't get it. You know what I don't get? Why do we need to be told twice that this is four KL t HD. I mean, you've got it emblazoned on the case itself, and then you put it on the sleeve art as well, right next to each other. You're taking hup space

for no reason. Anyways, I don't know another four K release. Keno giving us Last Year in Marion Bad from nineteen sixty one on four K on August twenty seventh. This has the audio commentary by Tim Lucas that was done previously interviewed with the filmmaker and Last Year at Marion Bad a diaze, a visual essay by James Quant Memories of Last Year at Marion Bad and then a nineteen fifty seven short film as well, and uh yeah, I've not seen

this one and I need to. Oh that's great. Yeah, that's a good one, Alan Rene, fantastic Last Year at Marion bade of those best films. And you know what you want have some funny is just as a little callback. Yes, I got my Better Off Dead here steal book. That was an f YE exclusive for a couple of years. Are they still around? No, I don't. Well I think they are, but the f only stands for funko. Now I actually get what you mean. Doesn't

have like any special features. You know, where's the four K Savage Steve Holland trilogy? You know, One Crazy Summer, Better Off Dead and How I Got to College? Okay, that's that's a teen comedy trip tick, right, the you might get Better Off Dead, you probably won't get four K. The other two, well, How I Got to College hasn't even gotten on Blu ray release. That's I'm getting it. I think One Crazy Summer got a Warrener Archive. Maybe is it right? That sounds right?

Let me see what year was that one? Do you remember? I want to say eighty four eighty five. I did, yeah, back in twenty twenty one. That was eighty six eighty six and it was Warner It was Warner Archive. Yes, yeah, I remember some things. But I think how I got to college is kind of underrated. It suffers from having no Q sack. Yep, everybody's all over it. Nice my. When my van broke up and I went solo, my rock and roll name was Charles

Damar. You can actually if you can find me on a couple of comps, dude, like little acoustic diddies or a little like noise things, Charles Damar. That's me. I love that. Ryan from New World says this is your Flu Game. That's a Michael Jordan reference for anybody that doesn't know I saw the Flu Game. I mean I was on TVA. But imagine dots next up again. Like I mentioned Fun City Editions earlier, a lot

of people just don't pay attention to them anymore. August eighth, they are releasing Bad Company with Jeff Bridges, and this is gonna be a great release. This says. This tale of friendship and survival, set in the eighteen focuses on a roguish group of runways, leading by Sorry, living by their wits and instincts. Two of them are complimentary opposites, Drew played by Barry Brown, a good boy from god fearing stock out west to evade the draft,

Jake by Jeff Bridges, a scruffy scoundreal. They encounter rebels and miscreants, and their journey makes them older and wiser beyond their years. Written by Robert Benton and David Newman and directed by Betton himself. The slipcover for this is going to be limited and it's exclusive to the Fun City website, so check it out. Got some good ass artwork right there, and a good

ass move it is. You've got a double sided rap on this with the lexiarwork, new commentary by Walt Shaw, who does a lot of the deaf Crocodile titles. Booklet with a new essay by Margaret Barton FuMO that's in the first pressing only, and yeah, it should be a solid, solid release. Beauteous, good Night, Dallas, oh Yan, I'm fat in the middle of a fast too, Jack says, completely forgot NBA Final start tonight. But this is more important. Nobody said anything about a score. Do

you want to hear it? Hey, let's talk about some monda macabre titles. Somebody is going to do it just to fuck when it please don't. Available for pre order two weeks from today at nine am Pacific twelve noon Eastern on Blu Ray the Max Peakas Collection with some very fun censorship on the slip cover. Here. Here is the inner titles I Am an Informaniac and Private

Club. Disc one is I Am an Infomaniac from nineteen seventy with a bonus feature I Am frigid Y from nineteen seventy two, probably because your partner's an info That also includes an episode of the Eurotica TV series about Max Peakus and some deleted scenes. And then Disc two has this Private Club on here. And we've got a limited edition with a slipcover with new art, reversable sleeve, twenty page color booklet with new writing on the film by Peak Tombs,

and ten double sided art cards limited to fifteen hundred. I know why they're frigid because they're slaves to traditional patriarchal monogamy. They need to nympho it up. Well not, you know, they could also go voiceover and do whatever. Yeah, and then they are also releasing the Warrior Collection on that same day. This is going to have the entire Warrior trilogy. God damn it what somebody posted that god damn game results where I don't see it. That's

fine, let's talk about the Warrior. This will I have all three films. The Warrior was previously released by Mondo on DBD, but now it will have all three of the films. You've got a two disc set with a slipcover and a twenty page colored booklet with new writing by Pete Toombs. Again, limited to fifteen hundred pre order two weeks from today at noon Eastern. Yeah, that's exciting. I was just looking earlier at my Warrior DVD from

Mondo Macabre and realizing that the other two hadn't come out. So this will be a good excuse to spend money I don't have. This is true. Yes, the Mondo site is probably shut down for now. It'll it should be going back up there on the day of preorders. Was that June twentieth, Is that what you said? June twentieth, two weeks. Sweet. All right, some updates on the Physical Media Advocate. First, you can

purchase The Physical Media Advocate now at Video Drome at Atlanta, Georgia. Go check them out at six point seven North Highland Ave, Northeast in Atlanta. They are great people, so please go in and check them out. Second, we are closing in on the tenth issue of the Physical Media Advocate. This picture is a tease of the cover art and we can't wait for everybody to see this. It is. I know this is a very cliche thing to say, but it is by far our biggest and best issue that we've

done yet. It's gonna be our longest one for sure. And then the last thing is if you want to have a letter to the editor, this is the last call. Send me an email at disc Connected Media at gmail dot com. You can ask anything about how a film goes out through any of these late I'll try to get some answers for you. You can ask about rights for a film. You can give an opinion on a release, anything like that. You can ask why Will hasn't contributed anything at all?

Yes, Ryan from New World Pictures podcast is going to be writing something for us for this next month, and yeah, we are shaping up to be pretty great. I'm very excited for people to see this. You know what you need? What do I need? Will like a comic strip. I've said that, and I actually got somebody maybe starting one. Okay, Okay, we'll be in the tenth issue, but I'm working on it. Going

to the last couple of things. We got Star Trek Discovery, the final season is coming to Blu Ray. You got a standard release or a steel book release, and if you have not been picking them up along the way, you can just pick up the complete series. We don't have a release date for this yet, but you can pre order it now. I'm thinking, I'm thinking it should be like a Goufus and Galant thing, but like with collecting right or related to film somehow? Yeah? Yeah, like uh,

like Goufhus, are you gonna write a comic? Sure about the spot here? Like Goufus packs his discs without any bubble wrap in a bubble mealer. Gufus works at an Amazon warehouse. Glant works at Diabolic. All right, two more titles left. The first is Balero from nineteen eighty four, getting what looks to be a mod Blu Ray from Amazon's MGM. This is coming on June eighteenth, just two tuesdays away from now. And then finally when Worlds Collide, getting what looks to be a mod disc as well from

Paramount on June twenty fifth. This is the nineteen fifty one sci fi film. Didn't that come as part of a double feature with that Zazz release? Zazz Zazz? I think it came with uh uh War of the Worlds, That's what I'm saying from Zaz. Yeah, the Paramount Presents edition. Yes, Now you can just get this one on its own. Well what am I talking about? Zav See, I had no idea what Zaz meant? Then zavy zez that is az Zaby. I got it on Zaby. Also, can you go back to Blero for a second. Sure, now you're

zoom out. So when you say an actor's name and then put in parentheses, another movie they're in, you got Bo Derek And they decide to go with nineteen eighty nine's Ghosts Can't Do It, which fine, it's directed by John Derek and everything, but it's like a one star movie and they're like, hey, what do you what do we think people will know? Bo Derek for oh Man, ghosts can't do it? Definitely, No, they're

not going to put ten. Well, as Anthony says here, Blo was previously put out by Shout with Ghosts Can't Do It, so they are linked a little bit beyond that. Amazon likely owns the rights to Ghosts Can't Do It, which is why they are like, I don't know, kind of promoting their own title. Well, that's subterfuge. Yes, having tonight Brandon who owns ten. There's a Blu Ray and it is by Warner Brothers. Okay, I see it's out of print of course, but you can get

it used on Amazon for twenty five dollars. Well, on that note, that's it for this week. Let's talk about what's coming out in next week with them Nikita four K, Steel Book, Godzilla and Kong, The New Empire, Shrek Forever After four K, A Case of the Bloody Iris four K, which a lot of us have already looks fantastic, strongly recommended Species two four K from shout Mute, Witness four K, which is amazing,

immaculate, finally getting its Blue South Park joining the Panda verse. Blu Ray, The Valiant One's four K from Eureka Corell from Criterion, Celestial Toy Maker from BBC Stop Motion getting a blu ray the bat whispers. I believe that's from VCI, remembering Gene Wilder from Keno, Queen's Ransom from Eureka, Last Kumite Steelbook Homework from Unearthed. I still haven't seen anybody get that in yet.

War is a virtue from Sandpiper, The Animal Kingdom from Magnet, Winter People, Zebraman Tupac, Nice dog Man, The Luke Basson from last year getting its release Article ninety nine, Zombie Christ that cover Blind War from Welgo coming out next week. Her Kill Her from Massacre video and that's it. Wasn't that last Bottom Betrayed The Mighty Quinn Finding the Money and My Love Story Complete. Mighty Quinn looks too class. That's a interesting eighties young adult movie.

Very eighties with Rob Low there on the cover. Mutwiness strong recommend. I know the Will and I have already talked about Mute Witness once, but the movie's amazing immaculate as well. Same with the Case of the Bloody Iris. I lootted it last week, but that four K looks astonishing. Strongly recommend. It's all this Godzilla calm stuff. It's like ten movies all of a sudden. Are they have the same movie? Yes, what's the difference? The bottom left is a steel book. Oh oh, a book made

of steel that reminds me. I don't remember if I said this on the show or in the discord Godzilla Minus one don't. I don't know that I

said it on the show. So I do want to say again, I have heard from somebody that works with Toho that the reason we don't have a physical Godzilla Minus one in the US is because Toho has a deal where they cannot have Toho items come out on physical media within a year of one of the US Godzilla films, And so we just got Kong and Godzilla again, so it will be up to a full year after that until we see a US one. Supposedly. I don't. I didn't see the contract. That's

just what I was told. But that's a long time. Now. It's on Netflix obviously, and everybody's watching it. But release dayed on No Ruby Ruby to ho huh. Not not too bad, not too bad? Those guys. Well, uh, it's been a it's been a it's been a night what's everybody doing? How we feeling will not great? But I'm here. People are very kind in the uh In the chat, yeah, Jack says that was a rancid joke, A couple of things that told a lot of ransom jokes. Cory Conway says, a great stream. So you know

that's the same thing my urologists said a couple of weeks ago. Oh man, good to know. Well, we got a lot of stuff that we can't wait to share with everybody in due time.
