Kasey Shuler is an author and Revelation Wellness Personal Trainer. Her two Bible studies include “Love Beyond Looks: A 5-Week Bible Study on Body Image” and “Rest and Rise: Be Refreshed In Your Work.” Starting with the Word, her mission is to encourage others to know Christ and awaken life through movement and prayer. She enjoys swapping ideas with her husband and creating stories with her daughter in Athens, Georgia.
In this interview, Kasey talks about how we should pay attention to what brings us joy. She reminds us that our dreaming begins with resting in the Lord and that this “rest” isn’t necessarily about sleep. Our souls also need rest and the place we find that is in Him. In doing so, we can let go of our striving and focus on Him, learning to rest in Him and trust Him for the outcome.
For those of us who’ve been hard-charging for years, we may have to LEARN to rest and PRACTICE it often to see the fruit in our lives. Pay attention towards the end of the conversation where Kasey talks about allowing things to bloom in their time. It’s such a great reminder to trust the Lord and be patient for what He will bring.
