a week. We will be right back after a word from our sponsors. New charges in the death of a three-year old girl from San Jose. The child's grandfather and uncle now accused of child abuse after she died in what's being described as an exorcism.
KP IX5 LA Ramirez with details on this disturbing case. 59 year old Renee Trigueros Hernandez and 19 year old Renee Aaron Hernandez Santos appeared together in court as they were both formally charged with child abuse causing the death of three-year old Orrelli Doe last September. The girl's mother, Claudia Hernandez Santos, was previously charged with the same crime. All three defendants were involved in the ongoing abuse of Orrelli Doe on September 24th.
So while they each they did specific different physical acts, they all were involved in this abuse. The death happened inside a small church located behind this house on South 2nd St. in San Jose, a statement of facts released by the district Attorney's office states. The defendants believe the girl was possessed by a demon because she would sometimes wake up at night and cry or scream.
The statement says they took the girl to the church to pray for her and physically force her to vomit, which they believe would drive out evil spirits. Was strangled multiple times to the point of unconsciousness. Aurelido had fingers shoved down her throat to the point where she had multiple injuries to her mouth and to her tongue. Aurelido had pressure put on her body, on her torso, from the front and back, with so much force applied that she lost consciousness.
She eventually stopped breathing after hours of abuse, but the DA says family members waited an hour to call 911. A coroner's report concluded she died from asphyxiation, which led to the grandfather and uncle being charged, in addition to the mother, who was arrested in January. 4 days earlier, the mother, Claudia, posted a YouTube video discussing her daughter's death but not fully explaining it. Because I cannot change what is, you know, it is what it is.
So I've, I've learned to think positive, you know, because it's, it's, it's many reasons why God took her. Public defenders assigned to the case did not want to comment. All three defendants will be back in court to enter their pleas in June in San Jose. Len Ramitus, KPIX 5.
Hello my demon insiders, and welcome back to the Demon Inside. I'm your host, John Venom, and today we are talking about the Demon Inside Claudia Hernandez Santos. So this case actually has three defendants, which is her brother, Renee Junior, and her father, Renee Senior. But we're going to talk about Claudia Hernandez. And a lot of this stuff that I got was actually from the police reports.
And in the interview room, she talks to her brother in private, but of course the police record everything. So I'm going to be talking to you from that as well. Now the reason I'm talking to you about Claudia in particular is because Claudia is the one that started this whole thing in motion. And Claudia was actually convicted or is getting convicted of killing her 3 year old daughter because of a botched, let's say, exorcism. There's a whole bunch to the story.
So I'm going to go ahead and start now. Claudia Hernandez, I really don't have much of a background on her because this case just happened in 2021 and the case is still ongoing right now. They're actually locked up, but there's trial, there's a trial coming up this March of 19th, 2025. And so there, everything that I've gotten has just been what they've released to the media and I dug deep to get a lot of these police files and recordings and things. So let's continue with what
happened. So Claudia Hernandez had a three-year old child and her name was Arlie. Now she claims that Arlie was possessed. OK, so a lot of the stuff that I got from before the killing, I'm going to talk to you first about. But this was actually after the killing happened. This was her talking to her brother Renee in the interrogation room as they left them alone to talk. And the conversation was recorded as I said. So I'm going to start reading that from there.
She tells Renee Junior that while she was in the other interview room, God came to her and told her that God had taken Arlie on Thursday and it was because of demons. Claudia told Renee Junior that God gave her the solution and everything was going to be OK. Claudia also said that God told her they were not going to be guilty. She told Renee Junior not to worry and said everything would be OK. Claudia asked Renee Junior if he had seen Shamar. Shamar is Arlie's father.
Shamar and Claudia were not together at this time. Claudia was actually married to somebody else. But to continue, she said if she had seen Shamar and commented that he was upset. Claudia then referred to the detectives in the case and said they did not know what happened because they did not believe in God. Claudia said the girl was possessed because she was asleep. She continued to twitch and her
stare was different. Claudia told Renee that God took the girl, so imagine what he was going to come and do next. Claudia told Renee Junior that when the girl was deceased, she saw a vision of men in white coming down to her body and taking her. The men were dressed in white and took the girl from her hands. Claudia told Renee Junior there were things that he did not understand, but he needed to believe in God. Claudia said their desire was not to kill the girl even if
they look like they killed her. She asked why they would take the girl to church if they wanted to kill her. She said to the She said the police would not understand it. Claudia said she had two visions of God and God told her she had taken the girl. God told her the police were going to accuse them but the girl was going to go. Claudia said God did not show her what was going to happen. After Arlie died, she said God had taken the girl.
On Thursday, Claudia said it was not her girl as she was empty without emotion. Claudia said what ended up happening was not important. Claudia said that even if Renee Junior suffered, not to worry because God will guide them. She said not to be sad as it was God's wish. Claudia then spoke about Renee Senior and said he told her not to tell the police anything. Claudia said three weeks before Arlie's death she began speaking to God daily.
During this time Claudia was praying for Arlie and God told her that he was going to take Arlie. Claudia then prayed and asked God when he was going to take Arlie and God said September 24th was the date. God told Claudia this was happening because she was never been meant to be a mother. She asked God how he was going to take her and he gave her two visions. The first was that Arlie would die in her sleep.
The second vision was that Claudia and Renee Junior were going to be accused of something. Claudia did not tell anyone about this conversation with God that she was describing. Claudia then said after having this vision she started giving Arlie everything and let Arlie watch her phone. God later told Claudia that Arlie was possessed because she had been watching whatever she
wanted to on Claudia's phone. So when I heard this part, and I'm sorry to interrupt, but when I heard this part that God had told her for her allowing her to watch things on her phone, it reminded me of the other case that we did a while back, Justin Dalton, who was the Uber killer. And Justin Dalton said that there was an app that changed into a demon app and it convinced him or made him kill people. So is there something to that? But let's continue.
Claudia said on Thursday morning she went to the church with her brother to pray. While she was praying, God gave her a vision that Claudia was dropping Arlie off at the gates of heaven. Claudia says she thought, and I quote, OK baby, you have to go. End Quote. That acted as confirmation that God was going to take Arlie that
Friday 24th. While Claudia was praying on Thursday morning, God gave her comfort and said he was going to be there with Claudia. Claudia then said that on Thursday, September 24th, 2021, after Arlie went to sleep fast, Claudia saw a vision that on Friday Arlie would be outside and something dark was holding her. This made Claudia certain Arlie was possessed. Claudia said when Arlie fell asleep on Thursday, God took her
spirit away. After that, she said she believed a demon had taken over Arlie's body. She described the demon that took over Arlie's body as short, with ugly teeth, big eyes, and hair that was burnt. When asked if Arlie's body posed a threat to people if it had been possessed, Claudia responded no. When asked why Claudia did not tell officers about this vision on the day Arlie was killed, she said she did not remember and she was in shock about what happened.
She then said that Thursday night when Arlie was in the tub around 10:00 PM or 10:30 PM, her eyes looked black. She could still see the white, but her eyes were black. Claudia confirmed that when Arlie's eyes were like that, the demon was present. Claudia said she was confused as to why her eyes were like that, but she was focused on it being the last day she was going to see her baby alive. Claudia said Arlie's body was going to throw up and that was
going to be the demon. When asked by police how she felt about this being God's plan, she said, yeah, I've learned to accept what it is because what is the point of my getting angry and saying, oh, this and that if it already happened? End Quote. The police asked how it made her feel in the moment. And she said, and I quote, I was confused. She said then said if she had not shown her cell phone to Arlie, she would have died in another manner.
She clarified that she only found out God planned to take Arlie 3 weeks before Arlie's death. She clarified that Renee Junior would not normally sleep in the bed with her, but she asked him because she knew Arlie was going to die and she wanted him to be there because she did not want to be by herself. Claudia stated that while she was at the church, she put her phone on airplane mode because she didn't want to be disturbed when she started praying.
When asked if she wanted Shamar Proctor, Arlie's father, to find her, she said that she was not thinking about that, she was just focusing on getting her baby fixed. Claudia was then confronted with Google searches of her phone that included how to introduce vomiting in adults and children. Bodia said she searched for that because she was trying to see if there was a way she could help her daughter throw up.
She admitted she was getting frustrated that Arlie had not thrown up yet when she conducted the Google search. Arlie was not provided food or water on September 24th, 2021. The last time Arlie ate was the night before which was September 23rd of 2021 at Starboard. I am assuming Starboard is a restaurant. Arlie did not have any medical conditions and had not been sick prior to her killing.
Claudia confirmed nothing out of the ordinary was occurring to Arlie. Claudia did not provide Arlie with any medications or illicit drugs before she believed Arlie to be possessed. On Thursday night, Claudia said she was not under the influence of any controlled substance and that she did not have any mental health diagnosis or treatment history. When asked if she believed in
medicine, Claudia said yes. Claudia said she does not necessarily believe in possession because of the church she goes to, but because of other things she has experienced in her life. Where and I quote at the school like places that I've been that I know that are like it's just things that I know that are possessed are people, you know? End Quote. She says she always believed in it since she was a kid. She described it as being like a
medium. When asked if she thinks she caused her daughter's death, Claudia replied in a way. So now I'm going to go through the days leading up to her death and this is going to be a little bit violent guys, and I'm trying, I'm going to try not to go through too much of what happened without being too descriptive because this is plain and simple. Basically, they held this child down and were forcing her to vomit because they wanted the
demon to come out. So Claudia says that this 3 year old, now keep that in mind, she's three years old after she brought her home Thursday after they ate at Starboard. That Claudia or that Arlie didn't seem like herself. She seemed like she was possessed by something. And that's what Claudia says. She says and I quote like a spirit. I don't know in quote. So Arlie started throwing her clothes from the closet all over the room. Keep in mind again, this is a
three-year old. She started throwing her clothes everywhere. Claudia started praying she calmed down enough to take a shower. Claudia says that everything was fine, but her eyes looked kind of weird. She then had Renee Junior sleep with them in the bed. So Claudia was on one side, Renee was on another, and Arlee was in the middle. Now throughout the night Arlee kept screaming and crying and Claudia says that the screaming did not sound like her daughter
but sounded like a demon. And every time that she would wake up she would ask Arlie if she was OK or if she was in pain and Arlie would tell her no. They would start praying for her and she would go back to sleep. Now during this time Claudia said that demons can possess items, so she asked Renee if he could take all the stuff out of their room except for the bed, which he did. Throughout the night, they kept she kept waking up and kept crying.
And when this would happen, they would start praying over her. Now here's where the story kind of gets a little confusing because these are three different police reports and what I ended up doing 1's from the dad, one's from the brother and one's from the mother, Claudia. And what I ended up doing was taking all the stuff that they said first before detectives started questioning them, you know, and changing them around, which they pretty much stayed
the same. All three of them stayed pretty much to the same story. You know, there was just little things. Like, for instance, Renee Junior said that he didn't give CPR and then later on, he changed and said he did give CPR. The dad said that he has showed up and that he was trying to help, but he ended up giving CPR. There's just like little things. What I kept in here is pretty much what all three of them repeated. Basically said the same thing as
one another. So throughout the night they're praying for Arlie, and by morning they're saying that they cannot get her to throw up. She's supposed to throw up so she could throw up the demon, but she refuses. And so they take her to a church that is actually behind the house that her father is a pastor. Now think about this, guys, this is 7:00 in the morning and they arrive at this church where they go in and they lay her down on the chairs and they start praying for her.
Well, according to Claudia and Renee, she starts to struggle. So they're trying to hold her down. One's holding her by her stomach, the other one's holding her by her neck. Now keep in mind, she did not die of suffocation. She died in a most brutal way because they were forcing her to throw up. And we're talking 16 hours or 18 hours of this, this this little girl went through torture because these two were trying to
get her to throw up the demon. Well, at the church they were having a lot of trouble with this 3 year old who they said they could not hold because she kept moving and pushing. And we're talking about two grown adults. We're talking about a male adult and a female with a three-year old little girl. So they end up calling their father and they told him, look, we need you to come and help us with Arlie because she is possessed.
I'm thinking that they didn't actually say that when they called her, but they did talk to him when he arrived. Now, Arlie, every time they would pray, she would fall asleep and this would give them time to recuperate or, you know, take take time and to consider what's going on here. So the father says that he would be there after lunch, which he does. He shows up around 1:00. Keep in mind this is the next day. This is the 24th and they've been doing this all night from
the 23rd. So they started praying for 2-3 hours at a time and when the dad shows up after lunch, Claudia and her brother start talking to him. Now here's the part that gets me because this is a pastor of a church that does not perform exorcisms.
So according to the dad though he has seen or done 2 exorcisms on adults and this was prior to I guess the church or I'm not sure how this even went but for me it's hard to understand how a father and a grandfather would just fall into place saying that his granddaughter is possessed. So now you have the mother, the brother and the father. 3 grown-ups that are saying that this 3 year old little girl is possessed by a demon and all three of them are trying to get her to throw up.
Father has actually said that by her throwing up, she would throw up the demon and that he's seen this before. And it usually comes out in bubbles or it comes out in white or some weird crap. And I'm sorry, I'm throwing off the script here, but it's just, it's, it's unreal. So this poor kid. And we're talking about like 6:00 in the afternoon already. She ends up throwing up and they take a break because she falls asleep and the dad goes outside
and makes a phone call. And when he comes back in, he says that she's already purple and she's already passed away. So now they end up calling different people like Claudia ends up calling her ex-husband or the father of her kid letting him know she calls her mom. She calls her husband her actual husband at the time and before they call 911. I'm very curious and I'm probably going to make some of you upset, so please forgive me, but I'm going to play devil's
advocate here. And I've done this before with Audie Sanchez and the Asia Watkins. Where what if let's just say this 3 year old was possessed and all these three adults who said that she had supernatural strength. They couldn't hold her down. They couldn't force her to throw up. They couldn't force her to open her mouth because the child was trying to throw up, but she didn't want to throw up. The child started telling them that she loved the mom, she
loved her. She said, you know, but she would always like scream, no, no, no. Why would this be a demon possession? Now let's say that Claudia was the one that had a demon who was tricking her to make it seem like her daughter was strong and her daughter was fighting. Well, then what about the brother and the dad? You got three grown adults who are sensible, who are intelligent, who are religious, and all three of them believed that this child was possessed.
Did they believe it because the mom said she was possessed? Or did they see something that really freaked them out to the point where they felt like this little girl was possessed? Now, the little girl, like I said, she was three years old, Arlie, she passed away and these three were put in jail and their trial is still coming up. They, they're not sure if they're going to charge them with first degree murder or they're going to charge them with manslaughter because of the
religious texts. They're not sure what they're going to do. The trial is actually coming up March 19th, 2025. So what I find weird is earlier when we talked about the that the child was using the phone, she actually comes out with four videos of herself on YouTube and one was actually after she had killed her child. If you guys get a chance, you need to go and look at it. I'll actually put it on the files below. So that way you can I'll put the link below.
And she is just it's very creepy because she's happy and sad about it and she says that not to judge her on what she did and that nobody knows what happened for real. Keep in mind two days after this video she was arrested. The other three were all four of those videos, including the other three, were posted all on the same day, which was, like I said, two or three days before she was arrested. So I'm not sure why she did that and put them all out at one
time. I think she actually thought she had gotten away with it and that she wasn't going to go to jail for it. But the police actually used though that video. Are they going to use that video in court against her? I don't know what would cause someone to think that they are doing an exorcism for one if they don't even have the right tools to do an exorcism. I mean, what are the tools to do an exorcism?
Thinking as a criminal justice type of person, how did she get her brother and her dad to help her kill her child? You know, we've been talking about trying to find the demon inside. Could this little girl have been possessed or was the demon possessing the three people into seeing what he wanted them to see and they ended up killing this poor little girl?
