Episode description

Caroline has spent decades of her life either living through trauma or healing from it. Her early life introduced her to extreme family violence, murder and terrible suffering. She spent years living with a loud internal screech that blocked out any rationality frozen in the horror that had been her childhood. Her reality was deep, deep depths of despair and desolation followed by dizzying, excitable heights of elation and back down again. Anxiety depression and suicidal thoughts were her constant companions. But she refused to accept this was it, that this was to be her life. The birth of her children propelled her to not repeat the past and to break the cycle of family violence that had plagued generations of her family. Today she is healed and whole and now helps other people in their journey through her work and through sharing her story of recovery.

In this episode, we discuss how trauma affects the way we show up in life.
