Ep. 164 - Static Shock - Toys In The Hood

The Good Brothers are wrapping up the month of June and their latest stay in Dakota with a monumental crossover episode of Static Shock that not only features the Man of Steel but also provides a direct sequel to an episode of Superman: The Animated Series with this week's episode entitled "Toys In The Hood." The hosts discuss the oddity of this being one of two episodes of Static not featured on the HBO Max streaming service, the difference in plot choices between this and prior crossover episodes, Toyman's "Insane Clown Posse" and an unnerving character design choice for the Last Son of Krypton. They also discuss one voice actor pulling double duty, a quizzical choice for Superman's theme music and the choice to Deus Ex Machina Static's powers to fit the need to have him be the episode's ultimate hero.
