Speaker 2

Acon no Con Stick Season the saddest song ever recorded because he misses her so much. It's sad noa con Okay, good luck? Go do that for one thousand dollars cash. Easiest chance to see. Here's the funny thing is people will play poll tabs and they'll be happy that they get a chance to win thirty five bucks.

Speaker 1

So there's been one hundred dollars on poll tabs. That's one hundred dollars.

Speaker 2

You're probably not going to get that hundred dollars back, But then don't hesitate to play this game that is absolutely free that could get you one thousand dollars. What do you want to do? You want to get out of the snow and cold. Apply it towards your spring break. Where are you going for spring break? This time of the year. You got to have something to look forward to because they say the cold snap, the polar vortex is coming back. We're gonna get smacked upside the head

with it sometime in February. So you need to plan to get out of town. Use that thousand dollars to get out of town. Go to KDWB dot com, enter the keyword bank good luck, and do it now while you're thinking about it.

Speaker 3

Oh wow, sorry, I see you.

Speaker 4

Okay, good Tappy, National Ukulely Day today on the Minnesota Goodbye. We thankfully have multiple ukuleles in the studio today, so I'm putting David on the spot. He's gonna end up singing something, play something on the ukulele, and I am also going to play the one song that I know, okay from by heart. This is the only one that I know by heart. I only really know like four chords. And Dave and I are both in Ukulele club, and you could also be in ukulele club.

Speaker 2

Yeah, look for go online and look for Dave's ukulele group. And we have another meeting coming up sometime in February. The all skill levels welcome. But remember this, it's not a lesson now, so you got to know a couple of chords before you show up.

Speaker 4

Yeah, you can be skilled as bad as me or as good as Dave. Okay, here's my song. This is called those Magic Changes. I'm going to try and play as loud as I can here. Okay, what's that play in on the radio?

Speaker 3

Why do I start swaying to and fro? I have never heard.

Speaker 4

That song before, But fine, don't hear it anymore. It's still the Millior to me sends a thrill right through me because those chords remind me of the night that I first fell in love. With those magic changes, my heart ranges a melody anyway, that's mine. I like thank you so much. I can keep going, but I won't. David. You are better at everything than I am. So you play something now.

Speaker 1

I'm in you.

Speaker 3

You're in me. I'm in you.

Speaker 1

You're in me.

Speaker 6

Because you gave me the love love that I never had.

Speaker 1

Because you gave me the love love that I never had. Wow, thank you.

Speaker 4

Now I will put Jenny on the spot. Yet he's gonna take the ukuleles.

Speaker 1

Well, smash it over your headstall.

Speaker 5

I just have to say that I have a handicap right now because my thumb is numb.

Speaker 3

Okay, so I sing.

Speaker 5

That thumb's nummy is num it's.

Speaker 3

Num num man. It feels like a thumb in my numby numb dumb dump.

Speaker 5

I like to eat all of the fun things. They are no great. I love to eat them late and then because of the way.

Speaker 3

Up, Wow, does that mean taking lessons? Jenny can join ukulele Club to be fair?

Speaker 5

I did and Day will forever say I stole his ukulelean. I did because I do have one, and I did learn how to play ukulele at one point because the Day pushed his passions on all of us on the show at one point. Yes, we had a week to learn such things. I have the hardest one. Well the ukulele. Oh yeah, oh, Steve how to learn like a magic trick. Balin got to bird watch? Oh tell me how you learn how to birdwatch? Come on, you just stay. I do kind of know how to play. I just have to refresh my brain.

Speaker 1

Twenty five years and my life is still trying.

Speaker 6

To get up there, great big hill of hope for a destination?

Speaker 1

Are you of plenty two different things? Well, Bailey's really yeah.

Speaker 3

I was watching the focus and Bailey's just like you.

Speaker 6

Realize quickly when I knew that I should that a world is made of this brotherhood of them, for whatever that means.

Speaker 7

Had I said hey, hey, I said hey, everybody, what's going on altogether? And I said, hey, see Bailey sceney then to a gene, what's going on?

Speaker 1

Okay, okay, that's no, no.

Speaker 3

Non national ukulele Day.

Speaker 2

You cannot be in a bad mood and play the ukuleles. It is the happiest little instrument ever. So if you are suffering from seasonal effective disorder, then pick up a ukulelea growth music because SI, they're forty bucks and it'll be the best forty be the best forty dollars if you've ever spent all Right, are you done?

Speaker 5

Yeah?

Speaker 1

I'm done too. We'll be back in a second.

Speaker 2

On KDWB, it is Black History Month, so Vonstone a really cool job of putting together a little Black History music moment, and it's coming up next. On KDWB we are gonna do another. We just played the Black History moment a minute ago, so we're gonna do Dave's dirt coming up in a second. Don't forget the keyword for this hour. For one thousand dollars is gonna get you one thousand bucks.

Speaker 3

Bank.

Speaker 2

Okay, use the word bank and enter that on KDWB at dot com. Are we too early for the dirt?

Speaker 5

I can tell you, guys, one more story from my trip to poo Chacona. So why the workers at the resort now know me as the famous booty. So I'm sitting on the beach and the resort has like an entertainment team. And this woman comes up to me and she points at me and she goes, I remember you from last night and the night before was Tina's wedding, and I got very intoxicated.

Speaker 3

So I was like, oh, no, what happened.

Speaker 5

She's like, you were doing this and then she half bends over so her body's at like a ninety degree angle and I and does like a little twerking motion with her butt.

Speaker 3

Oh. And it was because after.

Speaker 5

Tina's dance, we went out to the beach because they were doing this beach party. There was like a limbo, there were fire performers, and then they did this big dance circle and I pulled Tina's husband's sister in the middle of it because she loves stuff like that. And I had taught her how to towork at the batch Trap party. So we're twork and we're doing whatever, and

so this woman's name is Flower the Worker. She goes, yeah, you were doing this, and then she does her little torque motion and she goes, yeah, you have a famous booty now around here.

Speaker 3

And I was like, WHOA. I was in a dress.

Speaker 5

It wasn't like my butt was showing I was in like a full length dress, and then she turns to everyone else around me and she goes, she needs Jesus.

Speaker 1

Yes.

Speaker 5

So then the next day I'm down at the pool there's a water biiclaster in at ten thirty, I see her. She goes, hey, famous booty, like, oh, here we go. So anyways, I felt a little bit proud of that, but I was quite nervous when she said I remember you from last night, and I was like, no, no.

Speaker 3

What did I do?

Speaker 8

I just love that she demonstrated back to you what she did enough doing it.

Speaker 5

Like she was like trying to run this volleyball game, but like in between them playing, she'd come over and just do the little dance at me.

Speaker 3

And I was like, oh wow, it wasn't good enough just to tell you. Was like, watch, that's okay me and follow our besties.

Speaker 5

Now, if I ever go back to Puntakana, I'm going to look for her, even though I will probably never go back. I'm not a beach person. I need to be out doing adventures. I can't lay around. I get antsy, I get bored, yeah easily.

Speaker 4

Something I'm like a child was really cool about Tina's wedding is that she cut her.

Speaker 3

Hair in the middle of it. Yeah, so cool to me.

Speaker 5

Did she she grew her hair out for a while and did get like some extensions in there to just have that volume, miss silk. But then because it's so hot women know this, your hair gets like matted and nodded underneath, like at the bottom of your neck from sweating.

Speaker 3

Yeah, hers was so bad.

Speaker 5

And so we get done with the dinner and the speeches and all that, and then her hairstylist went and took her to her room and chopped it.

Speaker 3

Gave her a bob mid wedding, right than the rest of the night. You had a bob that was so cute? Was that like on a whim or did she plan? That was the plan? Okay, good, that was the plane. I loved it. I thought, what a fun Well.

Speaker 2

Congratulations Tina and Trevor. Also, so I gotta read an email totally different subject. Here's kind of about Vaunt Heather wrights in and she says, Vaunt, I want to give a huge shout out to you for telling us about color me mine last week.

Speaker 8

Oh yeah, listen, I went to my little date night. It's like the place where you go peint pottery.

Speaker 2

Yeah, she says, I took my four year old daughter yesterday for a mommy daughter date. We had so much fun. I would have never known about it were it not for Vont. Here's some pictures of our fun afternoon, and I'll forward that over to you.

Speaker 3

That is so cool.

Speaker 1

I love that.

Speaker 2

Like I said, for years, DJs are the original influencers. I mean, back before there were social media or YouTube or whatever, DJs would say, hey, I went to this new restaurant, or I went to this new place, or try this book, or or you know this new pizza place or whatever.

Speaker 1

So Vaut, nice child.

Speaker 3

Nice jobs.

Speaker 8

I think this week we have to go because U said when you go, you grab something off the sholf. I grabbed like this ceramic radio thing that I thought was cool, and you open it and put like butter in it, which was cool. Forget what a list of paint. Oh, it was like a cutting board and you could pat your own design on it. You leave it there because I have to what heard in it? Fire in the kiln, and then you go back seven to ten days is

what I think she said. So at some point this week we should go back and get it and I'll post on my Instagram at vaunt leik go follow whatever. The end result is cool. Cool to just sit and relax and paint. I'm not an artistic person like that. I hated our class, but it was just nice to disconnect, put your phone down and just paint.

Speaker 2

That is really cool. They used to have a place and you diet. We'd go there every year before Christmas, me and the kids, and it was called paint your Plate. Same exact concept. You pick out a little, very elaborate thing like a giant rooster or a little plate or a mug or whatever. And Carson and Allison. Carson no artistic skills whatsoever. Alison very artistic. We would make a little something and come back, you know, a few days later after they fired into the kilm, and give it

to Susan for Christmas. She's hung on to every one of those. Where is the color of he mind? There's one any Dina, but the one I went to was in Maple Grove. There's like an applause I think by like shops at Arber Lakes.

Speaker 8

Okay, that was Heather email. That is Heather, Heather shout to you and your child. I hope let's had a great time.

Speaker 5

Absolutely will be the third wheel to any celebrity couple.

Speaker 3

We just need an invite. Dave's dirt on, Katie w b.

Speaker 2

Let's give you a little rundown of the Grammy Awards last night. Dan cover some of the big winners and I don't think there was any giant snubs last night, but there's always going to be somebody who's like mar that wasn't good. Bad Bunny and Billie Eilish both big winners last night. Cher had a senior moment while presuing one of the night's biggest awards. It's just uncomfortable and somewhat funny to listen to. And I guess it went

on for a little bit longer than this. But Cher was confused several times on stage at the Grammy Awards. It's painful. I won't play the whole thing, so that's.

Speaker 3

All I have to say.

Speaker 4

There you.

Speaker 7

I guess I was supposed to walk off here all right after.

Speaker 3

Walk off, before you go, before you go, show, show, before you go.

Speaker 2

So before she tried to walk off the stage and she was there as a presenter, and then she read the award, which went to Kendrick Lamar. His song Luther, and she read it, and then she called the song Luther Vandrose. But she didn't even say vand Rose read. She said, right, said rand Rose. So Cher, who time for some soup and a nap.

Speaker 3

Let's get you to bed hunt.

Speaker 5

I think one of the shocking winners of the night was Lolo Young because she won for pop solo performance and she's one of the new artists. She didn't win for New Artists, but she did not expect to win. She runs around like a mad woman before she makes it up on stage. This is her song Messi that she won for.

Speaker 8

And when she performed it last night, it sounded nothing like this.

Speaker 5

Well that's because she just did with piano without any of the other music behind it. But yeah, but then she gets on stage and of course there's like a tiny bit of delay from the live TV versus what we see. However, CBS definitely bleeped out the wrong word.

Speaker 3

So we did hear her drop the F bomb.

Speaker 1

During her speed really okay.

Speaker 3

Because she had no idea what to say. She was shocked. I'm not gonna lie. I think they panned.

Speaker 5

I think it was Sabrina Carpenter during that moment because she was in that category two, And I do think Sabrina did have kind of a like fake like I'm happy for her, but I'm so salty right now that I just got beat by this woman who like nobody knew a year ago, right it Sabrina Carpenter.

Speaker 1

I agree.

Speaker 2

I think she was forcing the smile and I thought, oh, she's pissed because she.

Speaker 3

Deserves that, which I would have too.

Speaker 5

Also, Alex Warren forced the smile at the end of his performance when all the New New Artists performed together because his in ears weren't working, and so he was upset because that's his first time performing at the Grammys, and he was so mad at how he sounded, and you could tell he was trying so hard to like keep it together at the end while they still had the camera on him.

Speaker 1

And you know what, he was a pro.

Speaker 2

You do not want to do something like where you're going to regret it and you go viral for being a you know, horsebort.

Speaker 3

Be funny though.

Speaker 8

Imagine he's like the odd.

Speaker 4

So yeah, bad Bunny one Album of the Year and Best Global Music Performance and obviously we know that he's going to be performing at the halftime show. But it was cute because he and Trevor Noah were like kind of going back and forth during the Grammys too.

Speaker 1

You remember that.

Speaker 8

It was funny because a couple of times Trevor Noah went up to Bad Bunny was like, you're gonna perform and he was like, no, I can't. There's a I don't know what it's called, but some actual yeah, yeah, some.

Speaker 3

Claus because he's doing a halftime show.

Speaker 8

But then Trevor Noa went again and I was like, oh, yeah, he's gonna He's gonna do it. Also popped up on stage in just boxer shorts and some socks was Justin Bieber performing yukon.

Speaker 3

The City I Call You Call.

Speaker 2

I forgot that Justin Bieber could play guitar. I mean, of course he can, He's like a talented musician. But it was kind of cool. He just seems so dis not disjoined, disassociated, distant, whatever the diss.

Speaker 3

Is, dude, He's just now.

Speaker 2

He just seemed like he just he's so burnt out on everything.

Speaker 3

Dave, can I cut you off for a second.

Speaker 5

You said I didn't miss anything last week, but I just got a text that came in and it appears I have missed something. Someone said now that you guys got a one hundred dollars gift card sent to the show for Benny Hannah.

Speaker 3

One of you.

Speaker 5

We didn't think that this was the breaking news. You should have started the show.

Speaker 8

To be honest, I must have been out too, but I wasn't aware of this hundred dollars gift card.

Speaker 3

You were, said, one hundred dollars gift card. Yeah you did too, Vaughan, you were I don't know. Cool. Oh, maybe we just talked about it in the Minnesota good bye.

Speaker 1

Probably forgot in a different room. So so did.

Speaker 3

We pick a date then? Are we going to Benny Hannah soon?

Speaker 7

Or did Dave and Bailey dollars one hundred dollars of Benny Hannah.

Speaker 2

That's a very very generous gesture. The tab for the four of us is easily going to be close to two hundred dollars.

Speaker 3

You didn't realize that you two just went on your own then. Yeah, a nice time.

Speaker 1

Yeah, we had a lot of fried rice.

Speaker 3

We had so much.

Speaker 2

Hey, real quick outside of the Grammy Awards, just really quick. I saw the Send Help movie over the weekend. It was good, but it was weird. It was entertaining all the way through, but it was like what the what because it changes and just changes and flip flops all the way through. I saw the Elizabeth Smart document read about the kidnapping of the girl in Utah in like two thousand and three, really really good. I saw a Miracle The Boys of nineteen eighty, which is about the

nineteen eighty Olympic hockey team. It's on Netflix. It's new, so good, so good, and I'm not even a hockey fan. And then I finally watched the end of his andhears too, so good stuff.

Speaker 1

That is it for the dirt.

Speaker 2

Stay warm, it's going to be a ball me twenty degrees today that they say another polar vortex is coming later in the month.

Speaker 1

So yeah, all right, have a good day. We'll see tomorrow.
