Now it's been so quiet that I don't think you'll be able to guess the Denver Broncos have had a really good off season. Now they've been overshadowed. The Patriots, the Bears, the Commanders. There have been some teams that
have signed a lot of players. Denver has strengthen their defense that quietly just quietly trying to see if they can match or surpass what they did last season where they won ten games a playoff team, and I think that they did a really nice job in the offseason. Sometimes we get caught up in the shiny object, you know, the one that's in the window when you're window shopping, and they're probably in the bargain bin where they're looking
for players. And sometimes you're just trying to get the right player who fits what you need at the right time.

Hey, we're going to go out and I mean Evan Ingram is not a big name, he's been around a while, but that once again is going to help bo Nicks. That's the important part of all of this. What's this do for your offensive line? Defensive line, which where every team should start. That's where success happens offensive defensive line, because it makes everybody better. But I thought the Denver Broncos have done a nice job quietly. We'll talk to
Tom Pelliseru, the NFL Network insider. There's no news on Aaron Rodgers right now, feels like and I thought by the end of the week from what I was told that there'd probably be a decision. Who knows with Aaron Rodgers, is there a chance? And this is what I'm not told this by anybody like on the inside. As much as it's just a conversation, I have with one of my sources, and he said, if Pittsburgh wanted Aaron, Aaron Rodgers wanted Pittsburgh, don't you think that would have happened already?
Is he holding out hope that Minnesota is going to go? Because why wouldn't Minnesota go? We're not interested in Aaron Rodgers. That was what my source said to me yesterday. Because if you're Minnesota, you've already told JJ McCarthy we're moving on from Sam Darnold. If they're not quite sure, if JJ McCarthy is going to be healthy enough, if he's ready for the moment, or can we afford to pass up Aaron Rodgers. So once again, this is just no
inside information, just common sense discussing the situation. And you know, the more I thought of it is Aaron holding out hope that Minnesota might be able to come up with a two year deal. I think two years is what Aaron wants and you can fall back on Pittsburgh. Now here's another thing. Russell Wilson is in Cleveland today. If I'm Cleveland, I don't let Russ out of the building.
I don't.
Now you say, okay, I may not have a real high ceiling here, But I got a guy that is going to be out there. He's pretty durable and you know, he's still competitive, and it helps. We're a better team with Russell Wilson there as our quarterback. But let's say Russ goes to Cleveland. Let's say Aaron Rodgers is waiting for Minnesota. I mean, there's a chance Pittsburgh gets kind of frozen out here. Then all of a sudden, ladies
and gentlemen, you're a new Steeler quarterback, Jameis Winston. That's not what you want, Ladies and gentlemen, Drew Locke, that's not what you expected in Pittsburgh. If Pittsburgh wants to be unstealer, like, you got to be aggressive. And I don't know if they have been, because I thought Justin Fields was going to be their quarterback and then they let him go to the Jets.
Now do you want Russ?
He's right there and they don't really want him, or they kind of want him, but they only want him if they don't get Aaron Rodgers. But I think that's one of those interesting situations here. And then the Giants. Are the Giants going to get a quarterback? Even if they do who's going to be your starting quarterback. You're not going to get cam Ward unless you go up
to get him. Do you want Shador Sanders? And that might be another situation where Aaron Rodgers goes, you know what, I don't want to leave the New York A. I'll play with the Giants. So those are the things that you're trying to figure this out. Kirk Cousins, I thought was gonna end up in Cleveland, but it sounds like the Falcons are saying, look, and I think he gets a ten million dollar roster bonus on Sunday. You imagine that what that must feel like, Hey, what are we doing today?
Hun? Well, we got that, we got soccer.
I gotta get that ten million dollar roster bonus, and then I think we'll go to outback. Who's with me? Cooper Cup? No suitors, nobody wanted to trade to the Rams for Cooper Cup. So it's not that he won't have teams that would be interested. I joke though, it's like one of those where you go, Damn, the Chiefs got Cooper Cup. You know, it's one of those where you go, they got Cooper Cup. I haven't heard his
name attached to Kansas City. But that's one of those where they tend to get that guy, and they would be getting that guy kind of Well, it's definitely on the back end of his career, but not at the back end of his career, sort of the way DeAndre Hopkins is. But when DeAndre Hopkins went to Kansas City, everyboney's like they got d hop No, they got DeAndre Hopkins. There's a big difference with d hop in twenty fifteen and DeAndre Hopkins and now d hop is going to the Baltimore Ravens.
Yes, Paul Cooper.
Cup has had a very good but weird career. He's at like nine hundred catches, but most of his notoriety is based off that twenty twenty one season, one hundred and forty five catches, just under two thousand yards, sixteen touchdowns. He won a Pro he was in a Pro Bowl First Team All Pro, won a Super Bowl Player of the Year on offense, and Super Bowl MVP all in one year.
It's the greatest receiving year of all time. I believe, if I factor everything in regular season, postseason, probably the greatest receiving year in NFL history. But you know this is where it is in the NFL. Make you get paid commensurate to what your numbers were, and then all of a sudden you can't live up to those numbers, and then they cut you, and if you're not healthy,
then they let you go. So somebody can pick up Cooper Cup, probably cheaply, and maybe he's the second receiver, a third receiver for a team, and chances are whoever is you know, I don't know if this is like Carolina brought in Adam Thielen and he's in fact coming back for one more year. Okay, he's playing for a team that's not very good. But I don't know if Cooper Cup is going to find a situation like that.
But we'll talk to Tom Pelsero. He'll join us coming up, Josh Allen contract extension, and he did a zoom call. He didn't have to be introduced or reintroduced to the Buffalo, but he was asked about, uh, well, why not hold out and get even more money than he got?
When you start getting these fairly big numbers throughout the entire league. You know, it's weird to say this, but what's what's five more going to do.
For my life?
That I can't already do right now right, so like it, it's not that crazy to me, right, Like, I live a pretty good life. Got a house, got a car.
We're good, okay, kind of house in a car. And uh.
Then he also talked a little bit further about how much money he was making and how that would affect the team.
I wasn't looking to absolutely kill them in every every chance that I could, And I told my agent that I was like, hey, if this this has any impact on the pack or impact on the cap, I should say let's figure out a way to not do that. So again, we're both sides were willing to move and change different things, and it was a pretty pretty calm mannered and negotiation is what I can what I can say, at least what I can hear on both sides.
So it was it was good, good.
Social media reaction to this that hey, I make enough and just pay me what you know, And a lot of these athletes want to get paid, Like that's that's the respect you get, Like how much how much of the bag did you get? He got the whole bag? You got a brainstruck But like Patrick Mahomes, you haven't heard him say, hey, we need. I mean, Dak Prescott's making them money. You haven't heard him say that because he knows what his salary means to the possible continued
success for this team. And I think it's easy to be greedy in a situation and say I may never be in this situation again, or why not get the most that you can. The only position I would take if I was Josh Allen is what are we doing with the money that I might be leaving on the table? Can I be involved in those conversations? Like Tom Brady, I don't know how much he was involved in those conversations.
He should have been involved, whether Belichick led him, but if he's going to kind of not sacrifice money but he was going to defer money, then he should have been involved in what are you doing with my money? And Josh Allen has certainly earned that right, but came off pretty well that Okay, I can squeeze here for another five million dollars At that point, with that amount of money, I know it might be well, of course
it's not a big deal to you. But he wants to spend the rest of his career in Buffalo and probably will.

Crazy it's such a weird statement to make in a way, like publicly, because it to say, what's another five million dollars going to do for me? It makes me feel like of two minds where you're like, well, you're bringing pretty cavalier about five million dollars.
And then also, man, I wish more people thought that way, you.
Know what I mean, Like I don't need you know, if I let other people have this extra five million dollars, even though I've already got two hundred and seventy five, You're right, two eighty not a big deal, but five million for all these other people would be pretty great.
And I've never met somebody who said I got enough money. Whoa Elon Musk has never said I got enough money, I don't need anymore, Bill Gates or Warren Buffett. It's it's the competitor in you. You want to now bragging, you know, it's it's your ego. All of those things are at play. And I understand an athlete saying I want everything that I can get, and you've earned that
right to do that. But also you can't say, well, we can't build around you because you decided to take all of that money and we are under a salary cap. I don't know if anybody said to show heyoutani, hey do you need to have that much money? But he did defer everything. That was the great thing that he did. I don't know what one did, but you know he got paid too. Vlad Guerrero is gonna get five hundred million dollars crazy, crazy.
But if you can get it, good for you.
It's just I always I always caution these owners to say, really you want that guy for that amount of time?
Are people coming out to see him? Like, how do you?
How do you get your money back? Unless you're winning a world series like the match in Steve Cohen. Sometimes it seems like he has no clue what he's doing, but in business, he knows what he's doing.
But when it comes to these.
Things, they're like, you know, they're playing fantasy football, but they're playing real life fantasy baseball and football, Like I want that guy and that guy and that guy, and oh you got to pay him, Okay, no big deal.
Yeah, Paulin, what stood out about the Josh Allen clip is that he had to tell his agents not to ask for every dollar possible because my guess is the agent's going the opposite way. The agent wants to reset the market and then get the next group of quarterbacks coming out of college.
I can't imagine one of Scott Morris's clients saying, Hey, Scotty, he's up. That ain't happening. Scott Morris is gonna twist you. He's gonna have you under his thumb.
That's what Scott says. No, yes, I'll do the negotiating. You throw the ball. That's why they call me great, Scott, I'm great the guy who does the money.

I was I was invited to be a judge the Miss Universe Miss America pageant when Donald Trump ran it. Oh boy, and I was asked, I think it was in Russia, I think. Gonna be the best Miss Universe there ever was, But Universe I think it was. I think it was Miss Universe.
And I was asked if I wanted to be a judge, and I, uh, now I had to be polite, even though I was gonna.

Tom Pelisero, NFL Network insider busy man the last few days here, Tom, let me start with the winners and losers. If you were picking out one team where you go clearly did better than everybody else, and then if I said give me the loser, who would you pick?
The winners and losers are always tough because a lot of the time, the biggest free agent signings are the guys you see cut two years later, and some of those value type signings are the ones that work out the best. Look at the Eagles last year with Zach Bond, nobody was talking about that that was as impactful as anything, but he's had a bunch under the radar signings. I would say I think that the teams that were active that certainly at least made an impact on their teams
this year. Look at the Patriots defensively, geineing Milton Williams. They had to pay a lot to get him, but a game record type. They're playing new defensive scheme with Mike Vrabel. They also brought in Harold Landy who got released by the Titans. He's got familiarity with Mike Vrabel. Robert Spalane the linebacker, Carlton Davis the corner. I mean, again, you'll see, we'll see what because these are all big money types of signings, But in terms of the instantaneous impact,
I think that you're going to see it there. I also would say I like at least the philosophy of what Seattle is doing, and they've got some more moves that they're gonna need to make. But in essence, you know, they've been going along with Geno Smith. They had he had wanted a contract redo last year. They don't do that with two years left, just organizational philosophy. This year, they came to him. They offered him a raise, they offered him a deal. Gino didn't like it, did not
respond well to their offer. At some point they went wait to say we can trade him for a third round pick. And then signed Sam Darnold, who's a decade younger coming off a Pro Bowl, for a little bit less money. We're just gonna we're gonna do that, you know. And then DK Metcalf, you get, you get a second round pick out of that deal. They're kind of rebooting,
you know, year two for Mike McDonald. What I like about it is they were ten and seven and they didn't go, hey, we're close, we just need it a little bit more. Was you know what, head and seven's not the goal. Let's try to go win a championship with a coach who's the youngest in the league that we think could be really special here. You know, again, they still need wide receiver help. We'll see if they get some more here in the coming days as well
as through the draft. But I thought that the way that Seattle looked at this, the way they attacked it, I thought really said something about the focus of their front office.
Yeah, Denver stood out to me quietly, Chicago, did you know? Washington did? And then you have the other end of the spectrum, the team that made you go hmm.
Well, once again, I think that just anybody look at this, says the Cowboys are just so generally inactive that it just makes you wonder what's their plan. You know, obviously they've got a new coaching staff in there. Brian Shatt and I were getting promoted to head coach, Matt Eberflus coming in as the defensive coordinator. We've seen them make some, you know, relatively smaller moves. They traded yesterday for a couple of former high draft picks, Kenneth Murray and Kyrie Elam.
But you know, Murray ha been a fine player, but that was a salary dump for Tennessee and Kyrie Elam it started like twelve games over three years.
You know.
That's kind of like the Jonathan Mingo trade they made last year from Carolina, where you know, they give up a fourth per a guy that they thought was a really top wide receiver in the draft, but he hadn't had any you know, he hadn't had a lot of productivity, and so, you know, their biggest free agent signings at
this point. I might be forgetting somebody off the top of my head, but you know, Javonte Williams, a running back who I was at the game in Dallas a couple of years ago when he had the best gay of his career, but he had an injury. He's not quite at the same level of productivity. You had to be sitting there and going when Washington's making all these moves, right. They did it the deadline last year with the Marshall Latimore trade. They did it with the Deebo Samuel trade.
This year, a Laramie Tunsel trade. They're going all in, said, hey, we got to catch up to the Eagles. We're going to cash in right now on a rookie quarterback contract for the Cowboys. They're locked in with Dak, they're locked in with CD. They got to figure out the Miket thing. And they're operating like a team whether it's right or wrong, that doesn't have a whole lot of flexibility. And you
just wonder. I'm not saying what they're doing is wrong, but you do wonder, Okay, what's their plan for catching up in a really, really competitive division.
And I don't know if this is true, though, Tom, but it feels like Jerry Jones wants to prove how smart they are. He is in the draft. Free agency. Okay, I signed checks, but they don't go after free agents. And they have done well on the draft, but I don't know why. It's like a college coach who doesn't believe in the transfer portal. Well, you got Dabo Sweeney at Clemson. He doesn't believe in the TRND, and you're like, you better get up to speed. But Jerry is never They've never spent money.
Who is it?
Greg Hardy is their big free agent signing a decade ago?
That was a wild will. I saw that stat that's the last one they signed to a contract above what like eight million dollars per years in free agency? That feels like a lifetime ago. And there's a whole Greg Hardy side story we don't need to get into there. But yeah, they've not been super active. They've been in most cases slower to get their long term contracts done. And the problem with that, we see it over and over is when you wait on these deals, all that
does is give more leverage to the player. Whether it's because of Dak playing out a franchise tag. It's like, why does Dak make sixty million? I see if people say it all time, how does make Dak make sixty Josh Allen side for fifty five. It's about leverage. Dak played out of antized tag. They were at risking having to tag him a second time, which they did until the paperwork went through, and then he played toward the end of that deal that he had all the leverage
in this case. You know the same thing with CD last year where Justin Jefferson resets the market. Now you're seeing them with Micah Parsons. If the Cowboys jumped out, you know, whether it was you know, forget about last year, you jump out in March and just say, you know what, we're gonna get this deal done with Micah. You know, you're tie probably talking about, hey, we get that about what the Mash Crosby number was right, which is like thirty five thirty five and a half million dollars a year.
Now Miles Garrett gets forty you know, Michael Parsons agents are sitting there going, great, we'll still sit back and wait and see if we get forty one. And now you potentially have another off season where it's dominated by what's gonna happen with Micah. You know, it will give me the indication that they're at least open to exploring
whether or not they would trade him. I know they've had internal discussions about Okay, what's the right thing to do when if you sign him for forty million plus, that's gonna give you a super top heavy type of roster here. It's just that's that's kind of the Cowboys way of doing business, and I definitely understand the frustration of fans. We're just going, what's the plan to get better again? When you're chasing literally the Super Bowl champs who arguably have the best roster in football.
Tom Pellisero, NFL Network insider, the Aaron Rodgers situation. I'm curious about this from the Minnesota standpoint, Why don't they just come out and say we're not interested in Aaron Rodgers. You've already said to JJ McCarthy, we're moving on from Sam Darnold. We believe in you if you truly believe in JJ McCarthy. Unless they do, they're curious about Aaron Rodgers.
Listen, if the Vikings called Aaron Rodgers today and said, hey, what do you think about coming and playing Minnesota, Aaron Rodgers would be off that beach with the shawl around his shoulders and be on a plane to Minnesota instantly. I mean, yes, that's the truth. Kevin O'Connell and Aaron Rodgers have a relationship. They're about the same age. Believe it or not. They are both California guys. They've known
each other for years. They talk, they text. But you drafted JJ McCarthy last year tenth overall with the philosophy of exactly what I was talking about with Washington, where you got a young guy on a cost controlled rookie contract. You can spend all this money elsewhere, you can use draft picks, you can go. We're going to try to win right now by taking advantage of the fact that we've got the quarterback on the cheap. Aaron Rodgers I believe would come and play for not very much money
at all in Minnesota. But you're still changing the path for JJ McCarthy at that point. It would be different if Sam Darnold were coming back off the year he had. They made him an offer, Seattle offered a way more money. He's gone, Daniel Jones, they tried to bring back. They give themselves an option here just because JJ McCarthy is in a very rare position where not only did he not play as working, he didn't take a rep the
whole season, and there's no precedent for that. But once those two options went away, my understanding has been the most likely scenario, highly likely, is that JJ McCarthy is going to be the starting quarterback and they'll pursue a backup option. Why have they not ruled it out publicly? I would say the Vikings philosophically just don't rule anything out publicly. Is there there are some scenario here where I mean, think about this, Dan JJ McCarthy has a
setback in rehab. I'm not saying he has. I'm saying if that were to happen right in may or he tweaks something in OTAs and Aaron's sitting out there, still wandering in the sand, maybe you go, hey, this is exactly the type of opportunity here, you know, And I think that you know, from Aaron's perspective, and listen, there's only one person inside his head, and Aaron's deep inside there. You know, He's got to make up his decision about what he wants to do. Does he really want to play?
And at some point some of the options that he's got right now potentially are going to go away. I mean because right now, Russell Wilson's in Cleveland today, If all of a sudden the Browns and I don't know that this is going to happen. But let's say the Browns decide, we'd like to make you an offer, we'd
like to bring you in. And now all of a sudden, the Steelers are in a situation of all right, we can either keep waiting for Aaron, who learned a lot from Brett Favre, and when Brett Favre went from the Jets to the Vikings, he signed on August eighteenth in two thousand and nine. We can't sit here and just wait. We don't want to lose Russell. Willie Wilson would be planning C because Justin Fields has planning. We don't want to go from A to B to C to whatever
is D. We need to do something right now. That's where the teams at some point might need to move forward. Hasn't happened yet, but that time is coming here. And as much as Aaron might feel like he needs to meditate on this and really get in touch with all the different factors in his life, at some point it's you got to make a decision, and time will tell how much lease the teams are willing to give him to do that.
I don't let Russell Wilson out of the building. If I'm Cleveland, I just say, hey, Russ, let's make this work. You can show Pittsburgh We'll come back and haunt Pittsburgh here and you know whatever, your reclamation tour. And I wonder if the Steelers could be kind of Let's say Aaron Rodgers says, hey, you know what I'm gonna play for the Giants, like Pittsburgh could be Duck Devlin or whoever, like I don't know what, Plant Gardner, Minshew or Drew Long, like they could be down to plan D.
I love a good Devlin Duck Hodges reference in the morning, Dan, Yeah, I mean, listen, there are some other things out there. But yeah, let's let's game this out. Let's game out the situation that you just did, which I talked through with some people this morning. Let's say, and I don't know what's gonna happen, Let's say the Browns sign Russell
Wilson today. Now the Giants and the Steelers are waiting on one guy who may or may not even decide that he ultimately wants to play football in twenty twenty five. Your other options beyond that are you try to get Kirk Cousins out of Atlanta, where that's still an evolving situation there, He's do twenty seven point five fully guaranteed another ten million or twenty twenty six vess if he's
on the roster come Sunday. The Falcons don't seem concerned about that at all, because they figure, hey, there are ten million vest two years from now. He'll probably make that and it'll be offset anyway, so not a big deal. They're gonna wait. But Kirk also has no trade clutse. He might not want to go to certain teams that might have an interest in him, So that's one option. Then after that you're into is Joe Flacco a starter in the NFL somewhere this season, Jamis Winston, Drew Locke
is still out there. You try to make something out of Trey Lance, I mean your option, your list of options are getting shorter here. I don't know, frankly, if any of these options down they're big names. I don't know if any of these options are stuff that fans are going to, you know, blow up the phone lines or get online and buy tickets to go see forty one year old old Aaron Rodgers, thirty six year old
Russell Wilson forty forty one year old Joe Flackball. I don't know that any of these are, you know, the options that are going to like spur you, not the way it did when the Jets traded for Rogers a
couple of years ago. But they are competent quarterbacks, and in a quarterback draft where there is very little certainty beyond cam Ward probably be in the first quarterback and quite possibly the number one overall pick, you know, at least locking in somebody who you know can go out and function an offense and get the ball to your playmakers, it gives you a little bit more options. They afford us next week?
Can they afford another nine and eight season? Can Mike Tomlin afford another nine and eight? Maybe you make the playoffs and you bowl out again in the first round.
I think Mike Commin has a very unique situation in Pittsburgh, and I've talked with ur Rooney for it before. Ur Rooney's belief, and he got this from his father and his grandfather was as long as the coach's voice is still resonat in the locker room, you feel like people believe in him. They're not going to move. But I would say the Steelers are not standing pat They just traded a second round pick to go get DK Metcalf and gave him the biggest contract for a non quarterback
in franchise history. So the Steelers are being proactive here. If I'm George Pickens and I'm DK Metcalf right now, I definitely want to know who's throwing me the football. Russell Wilson. Listen, he's thirty six. He doesn't move as well. He doesn't throw the ball as well in the middle of the field as he used to. He doesn't have the same escapability. If there's one thing he does, it's throw the ball to the perimeter, fifty to fifty balls.
Let your big receivers go and get it. Well, the Steelers have the biggest outside receivers in the game right now with Pickens and Metcalf here. I know that people are going to look at that and say it's not a really alluring option. But for the Steelers, if that's where this ends up, it does make some sense to give it one more shot. Hope for Russ is healthy and could find you know, seventeen games like he found about those first four or five that he played last year.
Any chance, Well, I guess the Niners are going to sign rock Party, right, That's not in doubt.
They're negotiating.
They have had negotiations exchange bargaining proposals. I would anticipate that they are going to get brock Purty side. As for mac Jones, because I know that's where you're going. They obviously there was a lot of discussion about them taking him in the draft in twenty twenty one. They ultimately opted for Trey Lance. They actually tried to trade for mac Jones last year when he got traded to Jacksonville, but they offered a really low pick. The Patriots decided
to send them to the Jaguars instead. So this is like the third swing to Kyle Shanahan and company have made at bringing in mac Jones. And listen, something were to happen to brock Purty if he were to get banged up. I think they feel good about mac Jones going in, but this is not there. From my understanding on the brock Purty negotiations, they still want to get him locked up for the long haul. If you look at the numbers, even in a quote unquote down year
for him last year. Most efficient quarterbacks in football? The key is going to be what's that number at a time that we think about this, Dan, The highest paid quarterback two years ago in the NFL for a brief moment was Jalen Hurts at fifty one million a year. He is now the tenth highest paid quarterback. You wonder where's all those cap dollars go? The caps? It's loaded by twenty five percent. Most of that's gone to the quarterbacks.

There were eleven players who scored thirty or more points last night. That's the most in any one day this season since February. For this season, X number of different players have had at least one thirty point game, the most at this point in a season in the last twenty years. How many players have scored at least thirty points in a game so far this season.
Paul sixty seven, Arvin.
Ninety six, Todd fifty.
Four, Seaton one hundred and seventeen.
One hundred and thirty five players have scored at least thirty points. Is scoring too easy? The fact that you have everybody you know when you say, oh, that guy's averaging twenty seven. Used to be when you average twenty seven, it's like, dang, he's averaging twenty seven. Now it's like, oh, okay, he's averaging in twenty seven. Oh he's averaging thirty. Now nobody's getting up to thirty five, Which that's what I'm waiting for. Is somebody going to get to thirty five
range again? And it seems like they should. There's the better players, better shooters, better scorers. But you still have some of those nights like watching watching Boston last night and they didn't make anything. They took sixty three threes. But you do have more players who are capable of scoring than ever before. I think that's fair to say. And there are some that are really really good at scoring.
Shay Gilges to me unstoppable. I really believe that he gets the ball and if you're going to try to man him up, you're not going to stop him.
He will score. He's that good.
Now, is he a Damar Rosen kind of he's going to score. Yeah, he's better than that. But it's there's not excitement there as much as just incredible efficiency. Every single time he gets the ball. You just figure he's going to get to the hoop or midrage jumper there. But some of these other guys, you know, oh, by the way, this guy had thirty or this guy had forty, you know, the Celtics, Peyton Pritchard, like we forget sometimes
you'll be like, man, that guy's gritty and gutty. And Peyton Pritchard was probably a McDonald's All American and went to Oregon where he might have led the Pac twelve and scoring. You know, all of these guys were somebody somewhere and they still have that you know ability, Yeah, PAULI, Yeah.
Peyton Pritchard won four straight state titles as a high school starter and led the team in scoring for two those years. I was thinking about the NBA rosters these days, it only feels like you could make the NBA or get drafted if you have some type of three point shooting ability. And you know, remember Armando Baycott, the really good power forward for UNC. I don't even think he's on an NBA roster. It feels like there's no place for role players like a Raja Bell or a true enforcer,
a true rebounder. You either have to shoot threes or be seven three.
Well, Rajah Bell, he would he would find a spot because I mean, you can have pess out there, maybe not starting, but you have those guys who will come in and give you an emotional lift.
But yeah, it feels like it's three in d yes Martin.
But a guy like Rajah Bell, he developed a three point shot to stay in the NBA. You know, safe thing with Bruce Bowen, Yeah, just stand in his corner and then guard whoever the best player is on the offensive.
Man Brook Lopez developed a three, Jason Kidd developed a three, Vince Carter developed a three. Magic made himself a better deep shooter. Now you have to add to your arsenal because the game evolves. You got to stay up with everybody else. I was watching college basketball last night, so I'm watching the Navy game. Navy is playing American the Patriot League. It's like ninety seconds in. Next thing I know,
they're escorting one of the Naval players. The Navy player off I think he's their leading scorer average in seventeen a game, and I'm like, how did you get a flagrant two ninety seconds into the game that if you win the game, you go to the NCAA tournament. Turns out the guy hit somebody from American in the groin, punched.
Him, and I went, you go to the Naval Academy.
You've gotta have discipline under press, and this isn't even pressure.

What is this infatuation with, Hey, I can't stop you, I'm going to hit you in the groin. I saw a high school basketball game. Kid got hit in the groin in a playoff game. He had hit two threes. Next thing you know, guy comes down hits him right in the groin. Yeah, Pauline, Yeah.
The Navy player, Jordan Pennock got a flagrant two. It was five zero, they were losing. It wasn't double overtime or a type play, and there wasn't really anything that led up to it.
American blew out Navy, but still ninety seconds in. And I don't know what happened prior. I don't know how much could have happened prior to that. Yes, Tom, what happened to the good old days?
We just triped somebody like Grayson Allen. You really got to punch them.
