Hello the Internet, and welcome to this episode of shot trend wedding or shotgun shotgun wed trend? What do you prefer? Becca? Um? I think shotgun wed trend, shotgun wed trend. All right, that's where we're gonna go with. I am Jack. That is super producer Backa Ramas, back um back motherfuck Um. It's great tad, great tap um and got big shoes to fill for the next while. Yeah, yeah we got We got super producer Ana hosen It has gone to work and put together some great guest co hosts, some

of y'all's favorites. So um yeah, well we'll be We'll be without Miles for a little bit, sadly but also fortunately because yes, he will be in our hearts and minds. Yes, all right, so should we tell the people what's trending? Let's do it. Let's do it. T J and Amy are back. T J Holmes and Amy Roebock. Um, we we covered this trend. When it came out, everyone was like shipping them because they were like the they anchored the third hour Chemistry. Yeah, g m A three third

hour of Good Morning America. Um, they were the anchors. Everyone was like, oh my god, they're so cute. I want them to fund each other basically, and they were like, uh done, we we we got people, we got you covered, and they started sucking each other and then turned out they were already both happily married to other people. Um, they were already like good friends, like the as a couple, they like baby said each other's children. Um, so that's dark.

The wives were really good friends. Yeah, the wives were really good friends. So that's funked up. And like, I think there's some krifuffle. So some rumors that t J this is not he's a bit of a womanizer. Um. So people are like, oh, this isn't as cute as it used to be. And the latest, um update is that ABC has fired them both, um and like after a lengthy what's it called when the company like gets you in a mediation process? Yeah? Where that that's you never want to be in one of those. I'll tell

you that much. Folks. When you're in a like, it's always in contracts that you signed with big corporations. And then all right, we reserve the right to just invent a court in a boardroom somewhere and do whatever the funk we want to You legally, UM, and that seems to be what happened here. So TMZ is reporting they're

both out at ABC. UM. Sources connected to the network tell us that it was a marathon mediation session Thursday, and that the mediation was extremely contentious, with ABC reps accusing both Amy and t j At various forms of misconduct, which one source characterized as a witch hunt. So that that phrase has been ruined, by the way, anonymous source for this TMZ thing, you can't you can't use it anymore,

at least for like another few decades. I think we're just calling something a witch hunt immediately puts you in a weird place. UM. But we're told one of the accusations is that Amy had liquor in her dressing room, which the ABC folks said was a violation of policy. UM. One source, so that's the name of the source, called the accusation ridiculous, noting some of the bottles were sent

from top of ABC News execs. Uh. And then they also accused Amy of being drunk at work sometimes at one point, but it was like the thing they were talking about. She had gone to a college football national championship game the night before and like showed up hungover to work, so they like, really, we're just like, uh, we're going to ruin you, ma'am. It's giving the Morning Show. As I was saying off air, I have not watched the Morning Show, but this gives me the same vibe

of the premise. But yeah, that's the show. Yeah, So I don't know, don't have affairs with coch Yeah yeah, all right. The world is ready for Shotgun wedding. I have been hearing about Chockolm wedding for a long time now because first we heard about it because I was initially a rom com between j Lo and m'am Armie Hammer Baby. Um. I don't know why that I said it that way. It was weird. So they had to recast that. They went with Josh Dumal just you know,

real way better fit. Yeah yeah, yeah, Army and the Hammer has like an unsettling vibe about him, even before totally the you know, news of his cannibalism and sexual assaults happened. He definitely was someone I feel like Hollywood, there's like a really good article about it. I don't remember from where about how they were trying to make him happen and it just wasn't happening, you know, And it was before the news came out that this article came out. It's like, for years we've been trying to

make Army Hammer happen and it's just not working. He has like a just like a nastiness about him. His his demeanor seems angry, like you're like like, um Uncounty Valley type of vibe. Your smile is scary. Yeah, he always seemed like he had like one ft in Patrick Bateman American psycho vibes like, and the things that he

really worked in were things like that. Like I always felt like he was really good as like the winkle Box Twins, who were you know creeps who you know, as you mentioned, is so good is probably his best work. And he plays a like coked up like media or just like business executive, predatory, fucking creep um. And yeah, they definitely wanted him to be like a Hollywood leading man. Uh, Josh Tomal the best person to put in in his place.

I don't know, I feel like for this role. Yeah, I mean if you look at Josh and Mall's history, he was a rom com man in his you know, yeah, he was definitely in a lot of um dreamy rom coms. He was also in the daytime sitcom or Romantics, and I don't know of Las Vegas. You know, anyone watching Procedure I love it might just be underrating Josh Tumaal because we like early in the pandemic, we watched that.

Um it was a Hallmark movie that was like one of the top trending things on Netflix, and it was a rom com where he played basically like a Q and on person like he was like a prepper he and he was like lived in the country, and it had the standard Hallmark Q and or Hallmark politics of like woman who tried to make it in the city or the suburbs, like finds out that it's that that place as hell and that you have to move to the country and become a farmer, and like, okay, that's

fair if you've only like think about it from that one movie. But you gotta think about when a date with Tad Hamilton's you gotta think about the Romantics, when New Year's Eve, that one's favorite. I've not seen any of these, so I'm gonna I know what I'm doing this weekend. But anyways, the real thing that people are coming to see is Jennifer Lopez get married again for the eightieth time. This is something that I was like,

she so she's been in. She was just in marry me, Um, you know, made of honor, Um, we love her in a wedding context, and it feels like this was also a role that like Julia Roberts filled for a while, where like she had run away bride and my best friend's wedding and um also had like real life wedding drama like where she left, so it supposedly like left someone at the altar. I think it might have been

key for Sutherland. Actually, um, good move, by the way, and then was like, you know, famously married to I love it, and everyone was like you blew it. He's ugly. That was really the takeh my god. But so I I was like trying to I was thinking about, like, what are they have in common that like makes us want to see because yeah, it does feel like Jennifer

Lopez replaced her. And I think it's that they're both like just amazing, like mega watt stars who like you can just watch in anything, and also you want to see them like fall in love with someone. And also there's something about like you. I feel like both of them would be really mean to me if I like ran into them in any context, like outside of um, you think Julia Roberts would be mean? We know period. That's apparently like no thing doctrine in Hollywood is like

oh yeah, yeah, she's she'd hate you. Um. But I always got that vibe that like, Julia Roberts would just like hate me, And maybe maybe that says more about me than anyways. Um, I do love this obsession. Um, okay, so here we we have them all. So we got the Wedding Planner two thousand one, we got Monster in Law two thousand five, we got Married Me, we got Shotgun Wedding and Whopping eight movies that she's been married in. Does Made of Honor not? Like? Is it just the

maid kind of word play? There's no like wedding side to that word play. No, there is, I think, because she's like or made are you thinking made in Manhattan? Made a Manhattan? Was there not a Maid of Honor movie? Now? I gotta know, j Low Made of Honor did not? This article I pulled up Jess says that she was in eight wedding movies. But of course Why wouldn't That's a perfect chance for a listical. Why didn't you? Why

didn't you give me a listical? But I failed? Um? Yeah, Made of Honor is a Patrick Dempsey movie that doesn't does not start. You've got the Wedding Planner. You've got Made in Manhattan? Um, you got made in Manhattan, Jeeliel. I think that one a movie where she gets married. Um, you've got Monster in Law. I wonder if Shawi Dance is also. I haven't obviously watched every movie that she's

been married in. Um, but Elizabeth Taylor was like, I think the sort of platonic ideal of this type of superstar, and that she was the most glamorous, like beautiful person in Hollywood and also was like getting married or everybody was always talking about like who she was getting married to. I don't know if she transit, you know, turned that into box office gold. But um, anyways, uh, Shotgun Wedding is getting mixed too bad reviews, but everybody that sounds accurate.

It's like forty two on the tomato meter. But everyone's like, but it's a lot of fun, So we'll see. Let's take a quick break. While we've been talking about j Lo getting married movies for a while. Uh, let's take a quick break and we'll be right back. And we're back, and they still haven't as this recording released, the Tyree Nichols video, there's just a lot of like statements from the police that are like it's really really bad. It's so it's so bad, like really going to be awful.

You guys like you can't believe it. It's like you have the video, right, You're just you're just not showing it because of like windows, you don't like, it's it's a weird thing that they've They're like, it's going to be Friday night actually, and uh, it's just I don't know. But anyways, like uh, I did want to talk about Cops City though, the protests that are happening in Atlanta, because they began as a peaceful protest and vigil in

Atlanta honoring a slain activist and it ended. Uh so, I love the way the CNBC covers, but it ended in property damage and several arrests Saturday and honoring a slain activist. How do they get that way? How did the activists get slain? And this has been this is a culmination or you know, escalation of two years of organizers and activists trying to get city leaders to not like knockdown thirty acres of forests in Atlanta or near Atlanta and build a giant police training facility. Oh my god.

They've gone through city council, They've tried to like go to the legislative route. Nobody in the city wants this thing, Like yeah, yeah, it's like very wildly unpopular. And because I also wonder not that it would be any benefit to see the demo graphics, but I'm like, what is the demographics of the police force versus the civilians of Atlanta?

You know, like, is it a white police force and an incredibly black city, Like at building a giant weapon of mass destruction in a city that does not need that type of policing. And you know what, we do need some fucking forests. I'll tell you. I'll tell you what we really need forests. It's almost like global warming is coming to get us. I don't really don't need more police I think is probably the moral of the

story of the past fucking forty years. Um Keisha Lance Bottom's former mayor of Atlanta, now member of the I had an administration uh defended the project, saying in September that the forest at Land was the only viable location for such a facility. Um funk off please directly. Uh, Yeah, the worst. There is a violent video of Paul Pelosi being attacked that should shed any or you know, put

to rest any doubt around you know. There there were like the rumors that oh it was actually like an escort that he had that attacked him, and that's what happened.

And like so this is body camp footage. The police arrive and there is this person who is like central casting mega dude, like you know, appears to have been styled by the oath keepers um standing there with a hammer that Paul Pelosi is like also holding like desperately being like, you know, trying to just be like, guys, could you please take the And then the guy rests the hammer away and really like winds up and wax Paul Pelosi in a way that it like does make

you amazed that he's that he survived it. Crazy. Yeah, And Pedro Pascal is hosting s n L and we thought this is a good opportunity for us to just you know, take a moment talk about where we've seen Pedro Pascal where where we first saw him? Why why we appreciate Pedro Pascal? Um? You you are an appreciator of his of his work. Absolutely, I'm an appreciator of his hotness and his work. Um, I'm an appreciative of

his representation. Um. He is Chilean, we stand our Chilean king. Um. I will be figuring out a way to watch him on SNL because really SNL has been pulled from Hulu, so you can't watch new episodes on Hulu, which is absolutely disrespectful. Um. But I feel like I first fell in love with Pedro Pascal in ironically, um, probably Narcos, and then I went back and watched a lot of his other works like film and other TV. I am not a watcher of the Last of Us, which is

I know the reason why he's on SNL. I won't be because it is just like not my vibe. But do I rewatch Narcos to see Pedro Pascal one thousand percent? Did you watch Mandalorian? Yes? I did watch Mandalorian too, absolutely, but he's masked a lot of that, so you know

that's that's too much mask for me. Probably the most the handsomest, like he doesn't always have a mustache, but he definitely looks better with a mustache about every like, really, anyone that I can think of of other than like Selic, Like he's the the Selic and the Burt Reynolds of this. You are right, he does give me a Latino Burt Reynolds vibe. Yeah. I mean he played uh whatever, whiskey dude in the Kingsman Agian whiskey whiskey dude. Yeah, whiskey dude,

this little Southern accident. I was like, that's my guy, and it's interesting. So normally you put a mustache on me, I go from that guy seems like he's not that harmful too, you know, villain, but like everybody starts holding their children a little bit closer when I have a mustache. Um, you put a mustache on him, You're like that that is the handsomest, most trustworthy man I've ever seen. Take it off, and he's the villain from Wonder Woman. That's true.

It does not work in the reverse work. Yeah, he he doesn't look as good or like like someone I want to hang out with without the mustache, but he Wonder Woman such a strange movie. It is a weird movie. It was we were talking about this off air. It is very much like a fable, like it's not giving superhero movie. You know, it has a weird tone to it. I hated Kristen wigg as a as a villain. I just don't think that was really her vibe. It didn't

suit her very well. Um, it was very much a drama, like the whole thing is a very long drawn out movie. I did obviously cry for the breakup of um Wonder Woman and what's his face, um, Chris Pine. I mean not breakup obviously, like he had to enter back into the real world or whatever. That made me sad because I do like them as a couple. But I hated the movie. Yeah. The It was also very strange because he's not actually his character's body is not in the movie.

It's like they steal some person's body, some human beings like life and just like hack his. It is like the fact that that script I got through and they're like, yeah, we'll spend a d and eighty million dollars on this, at least, like I feel I feel like that like production budget had to have been around a hundred million dollars and then the marketing budget was probably at least that. Um it is one of the weirdest movies because yeah, they made a it's like a children's fable, and like

Pedro Pascal's character is like so strange. He's like this really broad, like kind of hapless loser where he's like, oh gee, I'm really screwing this one up. Like it's not not what I was expecting from him as a villain, um, but also kind of winning, you know in the absense, like you still love him a little bit, and that's what he us to our hearts and minds. Petro Pascal I just saw on his scholarly source Wikipedia that he was in Nigo Montoya for the home movie Princess Bride.

I didn't realize a they made another Princess Bride, I guess mini series but directed. Yeah, it seems like, um, I don't know it says episode chapter two, the Shrieking Eels. Either way, I do think he would make a great Nigo Montoya for um, the Princess Bride. That makes sense to me. That does that makes all the sense? All right, Well, those are some of the things that are trending on this We also have Mascarrogate. But I feel like masscarrot

Gate is not going away, Isn't that right? Like? I feel like no, it's got a lot of trends to cover backa we got to cover and I could go on about Masscarrogate for a solid ten minutes, So let me just have to standalone episode. Um, all right, it goes all the way to the top, is what I'm told. All right, Well, thank you so much for joining Becca. Where can people find you? Folly? You can find me at bax b E C C S ramos on all platforms. Yeah. Yeah, you can find me on Twitter only at jack Undr.
