- Remember that a person’s name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language.

- tips for remembering names: repeat it, ask them to repeat it, repeat it often in conversation, write it down, associate with something about them.
- Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves.

- Talk in terms of the other person’s interests.

- creates longer conversations and impressions
