Welcome to the daily drink. The daily drink is designed to give you daily encouragement. We live in a fast paced world and sometimes we need to take a second and take a drink. So we have daily messages as well as a monthly prophetic message to encourage you in your walk with Jesus. So come on and join us for our next installment of the Daily Drink. Hey, what's up everybody? This is Malik Edwards and I am so pumped to be here with the daily drink.
Um, this is our last installment of you built to last. And , uh, I hope you guys have been enjoying it. Uh, it has been a , uh , such a blessing to actually , um , bring it forth. And uh, this in his last installment , uh, you know, the Bible talks about this man that we've been talking about who heard the word of God and that he built his life upon this, the foundation. And the Bible says that when the storms of life came that it could not shake it.
And so I love this idea of could not shake it, but as you read it, it says that he dug deep. And today I just want to encourage you to dig deep. Luke chapter six verse 48 they're there. They are like a man building a house who dug down deep. When you dig deep, that means you have to dispose of something to get to the foundation.
And sometimes we have to dispose of our tradition of our prejudice as about our racial issues, of our social issues, of our denominational issues, of our preconceptions of unbelief, even of our rebellion. And we have to get to the place where we are building our life upon the authority of God's word.
You know, second Timothy chapter three verse 16 says, all scripture is not just descriptive as you like, but all scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, and training in righteousness. You know, in Psalms 12 verse six it also says the words of the Lord are pure words like silver, refined in the earth and furnace purified seven times.
And so I , I believe that God is saying that in this season he wants us to dig deep and as we dig deep, he's going to fire up. The word is going to begin to deal with those things in our heart so that we can truly build on a strong found dation. Amen. And so today I want to encourage you again, dig deep, dig deep, beloved. Let God deal with the issues of our heart so that we can truly have a life that is built to last because that's the way he's designed you.
He's designed you to outlast the storms . He's designed you to do these things, but this design only works when it's planted. Amen. On the foundation of who God is and his word. Amen.
