US President Donald Trump has announced that Israel and Hamas have agreed to the first phase of a peace deal. The deal will involve the release of all remaining hostages and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza, to an agreed uponline. Hamas said this agreement will bring an end to the Gaza War. However, the details of how or when this will happen remain unclear, with the actual details

of the agreement not yet released. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin and Yahoo still needs to convene the Israeli Cabinet to vote on the deal on Thursday local time.

A former ACT Labor politician has been charged with grooming a teenager between twenty twenty two and twenty twenty four after he left office. Gordon Ramsey was the act's Attorney General for four years from twenty sixteen. According to ACT Police, the sixty one year old was arrested on Wednesday night and charged with one count of grooming a young person. Ramsey attended the Act Magistrate's Court on Thursday, where his lawyer indicated the former politician would plead not guilty, although

police suggested there could be other alleged victims. Ramsey was granted bail. If this story has raised any issues for you, help is available at one eight hundred respect one eight hundred seven three seven seven three to two.

The ABC has revealed in senate estimates that it has now spent more than two point five million dollars in external legal costs to defend the lawsuit brought forward by journalist Antoinette Latouf. Earlier this year, federal court found that ABC had breached the Fair Work Act when it wrongly dismissed Latouf during a five day radio presenting contract. The dismissal was over a post latoof shared from the Human Rights Watch that accused the Israeli government of us using

starvation as a tool of war. The ABC is a government funded body, which means its leadership must face Senate questioning each year about its spending. ABC Managing director Hugh Marx told senators this was all there to be avoided. It is not a good reflection on the organization.

And today's good news Australia's highest ranked male tennis player, Alex Demonor, has reached another career high, recording his fiftieth win of the year to advance to the quarter finals of the Shanghai Masters. Demonor defeated Portugal's new No Borges in straight sets to become only the third man in twenty twenty five, after Carlos Alcaraz and Taylor Fritz, to reach fifty victories. It is now the Australian player's most

successful season of professional tennis yet. The world number seven now leads the ATP Tour and hard court wins this season and is only the fourth Australian man in history to achieve the milestone. He said, for me, it just shows consistency and that is what I am most proud of, showing up every single week and it is an amazing number. That's the latest from the Daily Eel's newsroom. If you're looking for something else to listen to.
