It's Friday, the tenth of January. Here's what's making headlines this evening.

The Prime Minister has condemned an antisemitic attack in Sydney after a synagogue in the city South was vandalized overnight. Anthony Albanezi called for those responsible to face the full force of the law and said there is no place in Australia for such hateful acts. New South Wales Premier Chris Minns said he was outraged by the attack on the Southern Sydney Synagogue, which is located in his own

electorate of Cogra. It comes after a recent rise in anti Semitic attacks, including the fire bombing of a Melbourne synagogue in December, as well as graffiti on cars in Sydney's East.

A Queensland Police officer has been hospitalized after a shooting in Brisbane. Officers were called to a home in the suburb of Annalie, just south of Brisbane cb D this morning after a port of a domestic disturbance. A statement from Queensland Police that a male officer was injured during a physical altercation with another man at the scene. Both men are being treated for gunshot wounds, and a crime scene has been established as investigations continue.

More than nine thousand homes have been destroyed as several wildfires continue to burn out of control across LA. The death toll has now risen to seven, but authorities have warned the final toll will remain unclear until it's safe for crews to assess the damage. Winds had eased briefly on Thursday, but the National Weather Service has forecast gusts

to increase and continue well into the weekend. US President Joe Biden has announced one hundred and eighty days of federal funding to fully cover the cost of recovery efforts. The funding will go towards removing debris, temporary shelters, paying first responders, and what Barden called all necessary measures to protect life and property.

And today's good news. Weeks after the Blueing movie was announced, the iconic Aussie kids show is getting its own lego, available in over one hundred and forty countries. Bluey was twenty twenty four's most watched series globally on Disney Plus. Fans of the animated ABC series will be able to get their hands on six new Lego sets in June. The Bluey feature film is expected in cinemas in twenty twenty seven.
