Queensland has announced its third twenty thirty two Olympic stadium plan, in four years after the first two plans were abandoned. Today's announcement by Queensland Premier David Chrisifooley includes plans for a new stadium and aquatic center and upgrades to other existing venues. The new stadium will act as the epicenter for the Games in twenty thirty two and will replace
the Gabba as Brisbane's home of AFL and cricket. Chris A Foley is being criticized for breaking election promises, as he had previously said he would not be building a new stadium. Today, Chris A Foley said it became a choice between the embarrassment of hosting the Games at the Queensland Sport and Athletics Center or a new stadium at Victoria Park. In the the end, the choice was clear, the Games must be held at a new stadium at Victoria Park.
The White House has confirmed that a journalist was accidentally added to a top secret group chat about the US's war plans in Yemen. On Monday, The Atlantic's editor in chief Jeffrey Goldberg published an article titled the Trump Administration accidentally texted me its war plans. It detailed Goldberg's experience of being added to a group chat of top US officials, including Vice President J. D Vance, about the government's plans
to bomb the Houthy rebel group across Yemen. A spokesperson for the White House confirmed the group chat was real, saying in a statement, this appears to be an authentic message chain, and we are reviewing how an inadvertent number was added to the chain.
An Oscar winning Palestinian co director of the documentary No Other Land has allegedly been attacked by Israeli settlers and detained by the Israeli military. Yuval Abrah, a co director of the documentary, said on x A group of settlers just lynched harm down Bellal. They beat him and he has injuries in his head and stomach bleeding. No sign
of him since. An IDs spokesperson told NBC News the forces arrested three Palestinians suspected of throwing stones at the force and an Israeli citizen who was involved in the violent clashes. The detainees were taken to these rail police for further questioning.
And today's good news, NASA's Curiosity Rover has detected the largest organic molecules ever found on Mars, which adds to evidence there could have been life on Mars billions of years ago. The Curiosity Rover is a car sized vehicle that travels the surface of Mars to detect if the planet ever had the right environmental conditions to support life. These findings come from a new analysis of a rock sample which found fragments of fatty acids, the key components to living organisms on Earth.
