From the Daily Os. I'm Billy, I'm Lucy. It is Wednesday, the fourth of December, and here is what is making headlines this evening.

Senator Pauline Hanson has lost an application to reduce how much she was ordered to pay in costs after the Federal Court found she racially abused fellow Senator Marine Feruki. In twenty twenty two, Faruki criticized the monarchy in a social media post following Queen Elizabeth the Second's death. Hanson replied with what the Federal Court has since found was a quote angry personal attack that carried racist demeaning. Justice Angus Stuart ordered Hanson to pay for Ruki's legal fees

and remove the original post. Hanson then made an application to the court asking to only pay half of Ferruki's legal fees on the grounds that the case should have gone to a lower court. Justice Stewart rejected Hanson's application, saying the case couldn't have been presented to a different court because it was proven to be quote of considering importance to both parties.

A man has been charged with murder over the nineteen seventy seven deaths of two Melbourne women. Perry Corymblus was extradited from Italy to Australia to face trial after arriving in the country this morning. Police have charged Corumblus with killing Suzanne Armstrong and Susan Bartlett at their home on Easy Street in Collingwood, and with raping Armstrong. Karimblus has

lived in Greece since twenty sixteen. Under Greek law, a suspect can't be charged more than two decades after the crime they're alleged to have committed, meaning Australian police couldn't arrest Coarimblus until he visited Italy in September. He faced Melbourne Magistrate's Court this afternoon.

South Korea's president junsukyol is facing calls to step down after he briefly allowed the military to take control of the country for the first time since nineteen eighty under a policy called martial law. Civil rights like freedom of speech and assembly were taken away for a few hours in Soul, Korea on Tuesday, President Yun said he instituted martial law because of unspecified threats from North Korea and because of disputes with his political opposition, who he accused

of trying to overthrow the Free democracy. Following protests from citizens and politicians and a vote in parliament, President Yun reversed the declaration. The leader of Yun's own party and the leader of the opposition both said Yun's actions were wrong.

And today's good news. Twenty one year old American Alex Konsani has become the first trans woman to be named Model of the Year by the British Fashion Council. Each year, the British Fashion Council gives the award to a model who has dominated the industry with an influence that transcends the catwalk. Previous recipients include Kate Moss and Bellahdin. Konsani thanged to quote those that came before me and specifically the black trans women that really fought for the space

that I'm in today. She added that quote, change is more than possible, it's needed.
