Episode description

As kids get older, the more they are susceptible to peer pressure and the riskier the things they may be pressured into become. The statistics are frightening, with 35% of all 14-year-olds trying some kind of illegal drug before their 15th birthday. How can we arm our kids against peer pressure so that they will be able to make the right choices when we are not there to guide them?

By practicing role play in advance, we arm our kids with the tools needed to deflect peer pressure. In this short episode, I interview my 11-year-old Ethan who has been experiencing peer pressure. We role a play a few scenarios of peer pressure to practice what he can say when other kids are trying to get him to do something he knows is wrong.
