In the first episode of The Cutaneous Connection, Adam Friedman, M.D., FAAD, professor and interim chair of dermatology of the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, discusses his recent presentation at the first virtual American Academy of Dermatology meeting surrounding cannabinoid use in dermatology. During the episode, Dr. Friedman explains the effects endocannabinoids have had in treating inflammatory skin diseases, the rising use of cannabinoids in skincare and discusses why he thinks physicians have opted to not recommend products containing cannabinoids despite inquiries from their patients.
