Yeah, Dave Gilson maid. Hagar matter right? I'm fine. I'm doing well, I'm doing well. It looks very red around you. They're in their room. You got. You got lucky. Yeah. It's actually in the living room. I would have done that. I would have done it in the shade but all the printers are going. All right on the real occasion that all working the same at. You must have it all set down pat because I don't know how you do it but you've got like a

hole. Like an array of different printers printing off models constantly. Yeah I do saw I've got three areas of work to spare room where they keep, but some PCS from orders. I've got the shared, feel all the printers are and what does recently converted the Loft so that I can actually start making handmade diagram of scenery for people. Wow. So that's the sobbing Katie do Let me change because I'm actually going to view a unit on

Saturday to expand the business. Wow, - yeah, let's bring my that's fantastic. I'm really Hayes is good but like I said I couldn't do in the shadow to be too noisy and all the FTM front of the they are quiet. What? When you've got six or seven in, I'm running at once and it doesn't make a bit of noise and So yeah that works. Once you put it, well it's actually nice and warm in the shade. I don't have the problem as much as most people with is and

foreigners. We're not being able to use them when it's called you to the fight for my fdm but there's a little one. My shed is 1 so it works, you're pretty well. Nice man. So right now, I'm plantain. I've got some comedy 2 comedy Forge castles on. Yeah, I've got some Wheezy forger scenery hurts, like really read your telescopes or six most off and I'm using the other panels.

Just never went and got already cheap great pla from a guy and I'm making it for before diorama board display board for BattleTech. I'm putting all that off just now. So I've got about 300 Parks different, wow. Or just to I'm going to fill up

with fuel board. And I've got our bottom work done, for battle take, but it also has Mark my business will go on it. Wow, nice, when people go past and see the display board of she put the product as sort of thing, so, yeah, the running 24/7, everything's running 24/7. Yeah, right, or so it's really, really enjoying it. Actually, quite enjoy it. It's a good for me. I think it's part of it. If you enjoy your hobby, and

then it's less stress. And so, I quite enjoy my whole being and putting things for other people and help promote and things like that. And so, A good thing. It may this goodness. Yeah, that's great, man. Yeah. We sort of connected through Facebook, I think initially through the sales group maybe I think. I think it's epic within middle group year. Pick one as the main one. Yeah. And then there's also that epic for sale page and an obviously, you've had some products off me

yourself. I did. Yeah, I do. A little one here. The mega Gaga. Yeah, I don't like them. Had some really interesting configurations when he came up to see me, he said, oh probably you doing. I said I'm putting my make a gun together so he had like all these really crazy mcboyd ideas of how things should be put together, making some nice air might not hang on. Let's load together as a dynamite Canal. Disabled a white, let papa put it all together first and then

we can start gluing it together. So we had some really good ideas of how to put stuff together, which is really funny but yeah, wasn't the original metal gargan. Because it's all parts to yeah and you needed three hands model super glue and your gold poured in it. Trying to piece back together and pray to God, that actually holds together. Yeah. Who's always that baby is really coming to its for now.

I think many people have sort of jumped on The bandwagon either border 3D printer or ordering stuff through 3D printing services and I think it has a wealth of, you know, really great products that people can tap into especially for the six mil Market. Because, you know, people who were interested in playing Epic and don't have the financial resources of purchasing original 1992. Epic Space Marine Miniatures and I can totally That because it's, you know, I've been there myself.

It's not actually a cheap thing, buying very small, miniature metal Miniatures or plastic Miniatures, whatever it might be. So having a having alternative out there is really good? Yeah, definitely. And it's good for some markets. Some not so good, but for epic has been absolutely blowing. But over game is also a battle take for six Mill. But epic is a mean one. I'd see pictures and see, it's also got a bigger fan base and but I'll take Take but you see trying to get the models and

myself. I've been collecting since 1993. So from back in the day and going deaf by another thing in all thing, and quite a large collection, though, of what people guard, Army of about 50,000 points and because I'm quite one of each unit, one of each company, but some of the models are really hard to get But I'm also what was in these

models. They don't go out media can some of the mental models I've got canned, the shadow swords and they're being boys are back from that you know and then they get passed on to further Generations from UC models go around again. But there's still not enough sort of 3D printing Market. There's definitely been good for that definitely especially the scenery some of the scenery just know for the Epic is absolutely but oh yeah. I really enjoy it. It's very good, we use it. We epic.

Every two weeks here with a bunch of guys, forget to give over two weeks or two weeks every few weeks.

So I think typically epic and the sooner that getting the scene at all card will buildings were great but no to get them in 3D print was absolutely brilliant and so yeah, nice make Society. You mentioned, you started collecting in 1993 was epic, the first system that you Encountered. Yeah, it was it's funny before that and I hadn't even recognize that I'd actually played a version of dungeon ball a few years before that down in

London, had been at a party. And I don't know why, but this guy pulled out a board game and that's what was the result. And another funny video game, I can't remember the name of me and then I forgot Orbiter and in 1992. To an old friend of mine. I was actually thinking I'm today is a guy called more coach, has his nickname, is at least Hardman skinhead. Give me and he showed me one Epic space when he's done and one rain or stand.

And that was it I got hooked and then he gave me a box or bottle force and with other models in it and I showed it to my pile Gordon that time and I wasn't working Gordon was working and we run through to Glasgow, dear God and is VG's. And this year, I am only going to spend this and it was a false denied back in the day of pain gives Workshop used to do over Wizard of Oz denied. Free-for-all, we're still in

love or buts in peace. He's on a wedding and the shops are filled with the door and went in, in end up spending his whole wage and buying everything from a Peck and then we've got empty out quite a bit. So yeah, we did that link 3 and the 6 months would actually set up a club and the local community doing epic and things that are. And it's so it just went on from here for most to remodels and

just collect an overhang. I had a spare room, we actually put a full Hold my spare room and me and all my mates would get together and play. Epic wigs and competitions. But we also do or what he space, Hulk going to come to my house at 7:00 at night. And we'll be there to form the morning, Point space, Hulk. And I joined for being bored and the room and all that kind of stuff. So, all different things like that, it was great to swapped it. It nice - so you've always been,

like, a six mil purest. Basically, you never got. Yeah, we'd find a key. From 2nd 4th edition and a database. One more fun is he borrow. But the things that we did by Kennedy was always like space whole ultramarine can things that are older be small, GW board games going to be boxes, used to get them space Fleet and everything like that. Yeah so we've cleared all those kind of things but will re-enter the only one we begin to for turkey but there was a few players around.

Like I said, we started the club within six months. And within a year we had 120 Forks, kids and everything. From a 20-mile radius. Coming around to the corner Saturday night. We actually did an epic game of 50,000 points. Wow, they'd Chaos versus Imperial Garden space Moline and we started on the fade in 82, the Sunday night. It was absolutely brilliant, obviously, the Imperial Garden. The Marines got hammered and they can stop our 50,000 point forward.

No matter how many shooting guns, you've got saw it. And we used to do that kind of thing all the time. It's just so ya can epic is always been my thing then and I took a couple of years out and ever and again just to have a wee break from a modern and up but it's always in the back room. So yeah. It's six mils, mark my 40, I love it and just blowing given that's good right now. I'm willing, I'm really happy

that to hear that. You actually have a fortnightly game group getting together and playing some games. So I hear that you're playing tomorrow, is that right? Yeah, I saw there was guys, I don't Scotland group, we have quite a few of those got one, but getting them together was hard, especially going to cover people couldn't get out for the

glass, go guys. Actually enmity new key thing doing in London. Sorry, P wave that say two things and they get ranked in the top three in the UK in the world. So it's saying so I spoke to a few of them and met them before three competitions. And I just sat late, let's try and see if we can get a bunch of guys together and walkable community site to support them. To get them to build up and their communities, Glasgow Edinburgh, Inverness or cook stolen, all his veto.

Bones. But there's always two of the players but they couldn't get together. So we've been trying to arrange things to get together to go to different venues around Scotland as we can. And we seem to have stumbled onto Main venue, which is bang in the Centre of Scotland, Roy and between Edinburgh and Glasgow. So we'll be meeting ever had one competition just before Christmas, which went to New, we will sow the seeds but they were going to play every two weeks.

And we'll try the different game systems. Mostly we do epic am again, and but we're going to try different systems just to give people a wish or tomorrow. I think we do mini getting. So it's 1,000 Point forces and getting some new players come along and we provide that armies

with provide the scenery. So it's saying and then some will do not every two weeks and then we'll hook to start a Scottish Nationals. Once every few months just for a bit of fun, nothing to see this but give a wee bit in Rankin and give people an opportunity to come together a bit more and then do an open once a year for the UK of whatever whoever wants to come across. So yeah. The two-week thing as good as a good, we do covers and so yeah, so good. Nice Mater's.

Oh, that's awesome. So yeah, you talked about Armageddon and I know that the Epic Community is quite fractured in that. They have various different editions, not so much fraction, but they had, you know, everyone has their own sort of choice game system of Epic six Mill. They want to play in 40K, universe everything from first

edition epic. It's a second edition, which is really the most beloved one that people most got in probably had their entry into epic 40, 40 K, and then it came to Third Edition and then Armageddon after that. So what is your preferred game system? Do you think second edition already made? Good on you Dave. Thank you. You got to be and all what people see is really fragile, because there was too many units into many different rules for less than that, but you know what?

I don't care. Yeah, and it was just absolutely blowing back in the day, and we stopped where I got into my pulses and yeah, yeah. And we try to get together once a month and play some second edition. We do obviously, it become again to try and keep the rules.

Then for the duration, I've only played it once and that was about three months ago, I don't quite It just wasn't my thing that I think it was true too far away from second edition after Titan, Regents, for me. And that's when I had actually stopped waiting for a couple years. So I came to miss actually pointing that. So, it's okay, as a good be system, but not a second edition. All the way and all these cards and ordered units and just everything. There's you can go crazy again. Yeah.

And some sometimes It was a bit dark. And remember point, we competition of my house with some of my pals and we always played six Frozen Point armies. It didn't if we get me one or two thousand, six thousand points and remember table, and Elder Army unfold, one point on one then, wow, your tactics, right? And there's this button and water and everything can and and this is all great stuff. Ken, it was just it was crazy but that's what That is all about. Can you wouldn't? It is a boot.

You cannot see what's cool for that. So yeah, second edition is yes, my favorite. Yeah, me too mate. I mean I came into second edition in Epic and I find it so hard to leave it. And when you know, I've heard stories about Third Edition and onwards and I looked at the Armageddon book and it just has nothing, it doesn't have the the soul or the core that second dish in brought to a lot of Players and in the rules in the the the themes of the Army's. It's just not there.

It's just very, very Bland. I think yeah that that is all about and I think that's because it's been designed as a fan base for more. Hope you see competition style. Yeah, can to give an overall general focus and make it can even if he couldn't Point second edition. Couldn't have do that. And two and a half. I was you late right there. So I can see why the fruit that structure in place. Yeah, till but you can play a good game, two and a half hour or so.

As you only fuck competitive, I still like it. I do like it then and I use my meds and adjust, no, can fetch apart form. The ones I heat is, Nick runs. Absolutely detest. It comes in. I will gift, I will give Third Edition a try and I will give Armageddon ago because I want to give a good, you know, I want to give it a thorough reflection or a thorough assessment of what I think about the other systems. Comparing two second edition.

I think second edition was like, the, you know, the ultimate edition. I mean I don't think anybody could top that, but I can understand your viewpoints. And I understand the designers viewpoints in making these other editions where they had it had to make it, you know. No, playable in a tournament sense but second editions, not like that. It's kind of a it's it's so expansive in its its rule sets in the Army's. You can play and all the rules and everything like that.

Know, if you look if you actually look at the cover of the second edition, blue box piece medium box with a laundry that and all the troops and the Army has a mesh Marshall everything. Yeah. And that's its second edition dead, the offered the proceed go for it, feel for you want, do what you want. You've got some restrictions on Syrian Army cards in that. But give you give you such scope to do all crazy stuff and I

thought that was just brilliant. Canada is a good way to work it and and it was like what an army should be as not to sleep won't work, unless we unity and that we unit area. This is ignore everything especially if you're in Orcs. And you might not. Yeah, thank you. Couldnt chord but this absolutely not. Okay. And for me, that was just and we boil really battle tower was an amazing weapon.

Yep, came. And you feel that again to start the back of the board surrounded, we are Clan and just waked anything that was in front of it or, but it's a squat cycle up. So, I went to a game shop and got in Glasgow in the Warhammer short. And I've been Queen epic for quite a bit. And if we just go against squats, another freedoms against bots in the process. A corpse. Oh, and it took note a note in the tongue on one and I was just, but bar, you can t do that?

You don't like to do that. But it was like I again, that's it. I'm buying a cyclops. Thank you very much. Thank you very much, Dave. That's good sold. Yes, I don't have one yet. So that's that's the next purchase I think. I've got one. I got one. India steam. So let's see what when like when you first got into the hobby. When you first discovered epic, what was the first Army that you sort of gravitated towards, what was the first thing that really

appealed to you? It was Marines babies Marines and he that's what you go to the box. You've got the Hawks and you go lll die. Mommy. He got and he grabbed the the Elder and hotdogs setting here. So we built that up between the two of us and we just take tons about and a couple more than meets got on board. So what we actually did was Special, with the game's called was we had.

We used to collect armies for people who are coming into the club and we had every Army for the Epic and for the key at the time of, what are my fantasy and we kept them in this cupboard in the club and people could come along and use them. But for the Epic for me, it was always Marines to start with Ken. That was really good. I can never get a grasp, it chaos. And and I still struggle with it at times, especially with me cards and that it just Just my her.

And I suppose I've been a bit lazy and learning that but for me it's all been a marine man or imperial guards. Right thing. And I had a bit back and years. I had a big 10,000 points of Marines within a year or just collect that many models and system structure even. So you could go crazy with. I'm gonna be just the structure of a whole game system that wasn't just about that.

For me, it was just about the structure, you can create an army with a different positions and their tactics and things like that and that is quite later and back in the D for Mia.

Personally I suffered depression and I was even as a young lad had you about depression and the game system, give me something to focus on something outside of what was happening in the world and another issues in that That. So that was something that that game coming along result of your life changer, for me and because Kenya had a new group of friends and you can people took me into their homes and treat me as family. So playing these games, it's more about that side of it.

Been seeing this armies. The best army of that armies are based on me. Yeah, but yeah, I was always been an old woman, he's man. And as far as I'm concerned, but there's no other space million Army and moisture. Limiting in the well, you see the Trio's.

that's a really good point you made there about you know because you suffered depression and you found the hobby recruit gave you that in action two people and obviously it made you feel Are as a person and it just got you through that difficult

time in your life. And I think for me to is being very shy young guy, I think I found it very hard to connect with people, you know, in a normal sense, kind of thing, I've found gaming a really good way to connect with people and communicate, and develop relationships and that kind of thing. So, I think for gaming, it's really good, but it's a really good thing, I think. Yeah, it definitely is going back in the D.

I'm not. Should I go and I'm again the room for stand up board, where and go nuts? But back in the day, there was no control that I had the patient. Can, I had to push myself out and I went a bit much, but the game give me some structure. Okay, definitely give that and I think and I've seen it all three years, people with disabilities and things like that and it's

been good for them. And when we had that games called back in the day and we had a committee would take the the kids on the committee and bring them in and show them how to be part of a committee and how to run clubs. And we'll pack of the part of the Jew, cayendo Ward scheme, at the time. And had guys coming in to teach them how to build scenery professionally. And all this kind of thing, and it gives them a feeling of

self-worth. Can especially Kevin, you've got an illness or anything like that. It's the hardest thing to do is to get to know people and to do things within, it's an activity. If it you can all enjoy and share but we've it really helps people and communities and things like that. So not sure we can speak to a guy speaker but opening up a small club for people with who have learning difficulties and things like that.

And communities are people, we suffered a patient and maybe doing Something in the near future because it's can people are certain they're getting tied up in their houses, for squeal was specially recorded can come and over that know, if I serious depression and the fat Nick mystical, okay, then definitely please to go. But the one thing, but it's happened, as gaming has increased in the homes and people's homes because of the covid period.

So, most people will know stuck in her who she's coming out here called a looking for places to go and game. So, looking at night, can you sing? So it definitely helps people who have issues and needing help. And I would recommend that whether it's epic, well, it's for Tiki EG Sigma or anything to some board games. Yeah, get a new local church.

There's a bunch of guys there and there's a bit name them a get together with a couple weeks and they play board games all the time and as a community activity, which is is great. Yeah, it's really. A positive isn't, it's really good thing actually? Yeah, I mean, I think for, for most of us, I think maybe I think you know, for me, especially Gaming's, being just a big social thing for me, you know, it's like getting together and meeting people.

And you can just chatting and playing games and enjoying that, of course, that aspect of the hobby as well. But yeah, connecting a few, I think most of my friends, if not all of them are all Gamers. Yes, I've got quite a few things, we aren't Gamers and they don't understand Kim. Came when it till you're blue in the face and I just look e is have to see. Yeah, right. Sure. See you later can.

My friends were outside the gaming thing, the actually, when I show them the 3D printing, what I'm doing, then they get on a better understanding of a gaming because when you take, you describe a board game and a battlefield, no rest of it and ice it and we'll come and have a look at my Printing and see what I do. From a printing things out. I'll show them the stuff like AA and they're not open to trying to gaming, so I think that's a good way of doing that.

Can watch your pretty well hand. In hand we've off. Definitely. Yeah I think that's that's definitely good that way nice. I've got quite a few things and I have to be honest and see but I don't have many things. We fought the key of all aurageyser combo started going to recently appointed for it again at a key party but it came at a good Bunch. Most other guys are no outside. The hard work called guys before take a at the Savoy them. Yeah. Really.

Really avoid them and I don't know it just Used to bring you an aggressive sided. People can competitions agree, but you still want from me. But I've seen some awful things with for occasional, be, some guiding very aggressive towards others. As in people, keep in competitions, I've seen organizers, cheating competitions, have seen all these kind of things, but it's not a point. So I tend to avoid that sided queers. Yeah, I find that most of our

systems bottle. Take Epic. Ball action, even all these can systems even so you can be competitive. Most of the guys are pretty sound. Yeah. Really we say and yeah, so yeah, it's still a stick to the games like that, but I'm all fat people that are fun be. So I'm going to try to hammer you and so, I was putting their ball last night. Uh, no. Boyhood the Bible with setting up a new. We going to Club as some of the guys. Guys are going to quit one or two games.

So as I said well what's sure some of the guys give her a couple of we practice games going to help out. So I've been doing that but I felt really bad because we've been teaching them and about them for now I don't want to school and teach you how to play the game. You have to think what you're doing but it is but there is no, is that it was great. Kendall is no path. Fiona Burt over, half an hour, laughs, everything that was going on. And that says, the community in

the game is especially needed. And it sorts of stimuli epic battle, take a lot of them ones to do. It's a great sense of community in that. Say to think so, absolutely, absolutely. Now you talked about your printers so that means you must and you talked about like selling, you know, your Miniatures and that kind of thing that you producing. So let's talk about your business and talk about your Your webshop and that kind of thing. Yeah. Well, okay, so I've got a

printer. One print that I was speaking to the wife last night when I first started out in print button on like big businesses but I've got a couple of grand or thousands of pounds and moderate. So it's a, I started with 200 pounds. Yeah, yeah, 200 quid. I bought a secondhand refurbished end of three and a couple of screws or ple And I was planting stuff at home to

sort, but some bits and pieces. And I'm the kinda guy like, to be honest, and upfront with everything I'm doing, whether it's 3D printing, or whatever businesses have been involved in before, and I just dissing, you know what, I'm going to start to

be business. Some of my friends at last, we've seen a repentant and I stumbled across bottle take with a steel Warriors Studio stuff, but she suddenly causing And I just approached him and see, I'd like to sell some of this in the UK and it's a, yeah, give me a commission commission, based thing. And that was that what a couple more printers within a month. I was doing it for about nine months before I got my first raising printers because it was

all just as the sexual scenery. And then I just got to do my shed. I've got a 16 foot by 8 foot shade and I just got it out. Put my planners are near and to started printing things. All right so and it's just grew bit by bit quite enjoy it, but I it's been so sort of thing but it is quite enjoyable, that's good, man, that's great. So where should people find you made? If they want to, if they don't have a look at your web store and they're kind of thing where we're this.

Yeah, I saw meet you many's Yuki Really should say may. I don't know the full address just now, but maybe many of you key Either on Facebook or what the website, there I do. What's this stuff I do? What? I don't do. 25 mil skill yet, right? It's all 46, milk to 10 mL or 1, Master, things like that. And we're looking at doing space, Hulk mod, s. So, So as a LV 47 or 24/7, they've got a lot of this stuff I'm looking at doing days two hours.

I've met a guy who is willing to let me do his broad ball Miniatures, so I'm looking at doing that. So that's a skill up. Most of the stuff I do is Battle, take an epic for and one master and I do them all the time. Again it's your Gustav. I'm actually putting like I said, let's start a full before diorama for battle. Take just now. So I'm building a shield more Cotton Bowl for later on the edge of the board, putting all the scenery in it, so yeah. Also, make it work, it's all good.

I quite enjoy it again. And the good thing is is I don't charge for time by the way, what if people will be surprised that this people with a recharge, for taming the prince? I don't charge for time because I'm a hobbyist and I want scenery, but I know what it's like not be able to afford that. Yeah. All right.

Can some great seen earlier and but being 60 quid full of old them but just kind of do it, that's what I don't expect, other people to do it and if I can always bring in a cup of Excellence for people to have a move because of hobbyists seem as myself. So again, if you're short on, will be back in was a guy came to me recently. As you know, is what if we epic reason audio? So one must always Wadi had some models going spill over the

customers. So I said, normal people plenty some more, and that just forming some water, I'm not going to make money, it's just like to help remove your name, your own bloody great, get your watiam or you go there. Something, I'm really happy that it's really going well for you. I've and on wish you all the success in the future between 23, mate. I hope my team in its UK really lifts off, and we're going to leave links in the show notes. People can check it out.

I know you got a new website under construction and, you know, adding photos and that kind of thing to it. So people can find you there. If they go to the show notes and they can check out your catalog of all the different kinds of six people, 20 ml, and scenery products. You've got there available and hopefully they'll do the right thing and purchase Some stuff off you, mate. Yeah, what she said, helps me, whatever.

It's as simple as that. You're not in business to make a war and a hobby and things being a good thing. So what jet business up front? So it's all good like that. So yeah, come on, speak to me. What's that? Me speak to me again? I'll wait to speak to the guys who are buying the stuff. I'm always up front with folks and Marissa. So, thanks very much. Having me back to meet you. My it's been wonderful to be Dave, it's been really good in life.

I've been a customer of yours like buying some bits and pieces of my epic stuff. So I can definitely vouch for you to say to it. Legit guy or a good guy and doing it all for the right reasons. So, thanks again. Maybe help me out mate. It's been brilliant. Excellent. And thank you. Well, what you call? And I'm going to head off, mate. Take care. Thanks again David all the best, see you mate. Happy New Year, everyone. It's GJ with another call of the

crown painting challenge update. I am very glad to report that we have had a lot of response, very many, pretty pictures, despite the December month. We did have some people who unfortunately had to either take a mulligan or even drop out all together for different reasons but despite Quite a few casualties. The painting challenge is continuing as strong as ever. I think I can confidently. Say we have in. Maybe there's still some stragglers. What?

I'm recording. This. I don't think I've heard from everybody yet, but we have a total of at the moment. Twenty thousand seven hundred and seventy two and a half points. So this month, which is even more than in November, I think that's because a lot of people had to take a mulligan in November because of illness the flu going around.

However, it's very encouraging to see that even in December with Christmas and with all kinds of family, obligations and other stuff that takes away, time from the hobby, would not to say that it's bad or something. But well, you know, how it goes life can sometimes get in the way of doing a hobby stuff and despite all that, we have more

points painted this month. And then we had last month or I should say more points painted last month that we had the previous month we have now in total over sixty three and a half thousand points that have been submitted. And we are not even halfway through the challenge.

So I've already had people asking me if it was, all right, if they added some more stuff to what they had originally pledged, Awesome. People that said, I might have to turn down a little bit or otherwise I might not make it. Well, that's all right. I think it will even out in the end. I believe it was estimated that we had around 160,000 points, pledged at the beginning of the

challenge. So if that's true, then we are still very much on schedule despite having to say goodbye to. I Think about it doesn't participants at the moment. We have some very lovely painting pictures that that have been submitted. By the time you will hear this, this will be on my blog. If you go to GJ's Workshop, dot wordpress.com, it will be the topmost post there, the call of the crown December update there, you will see all the pretty pictures and I have to say it is

a joy to organize this. Challenge, just to see how committed people are to finishing their pledges to, to make it work, despite maybe having some things get in the way, or maybe things not turning out, the way they planned. And I have to say the quality of the stuff that submitted is, is really amazing. I'm looking at, for example, a unit of arches returning arches Painted by Bobby Patterson. Very nice crisp, blue and yellow with a nice black contrast in.

There, we have some beautiful Empire, help dies command from Blue in VT. I'm just going to pick out some entries at random, then I'm going to call out clearing Griffith. He is doing Orcs and goblins and skaven this Monte Payne. It's um since cave and some rats, giant rats, red ogres cup of weapon teams. The very nice purple and greens color scheme. Their works really well. With skaven covering fire.

That painting chaos dwarfs painting, AC submitted the unit of blunderbuss dwarves very high quality of painting. We have what we have so much, great stuff. I really can't go through them all. Couple of Empire cannons by Gordon, ins the fourth edition, hell Blossom, Vale gun. I've always liked that one. It is only I don't have the model but I do have that Leonardo da Vinci standing on the on the cannonballs.

He's a very nice model. I think I'm just going to use him as Leonardo. That me rightly, a no for the dogs of war. We have Heinrich learned back-painted a whopping 1705 points, but it's mostly chaos and dragon ogres. So that's let me go into your real quick. 13 models, five chaos nights, I see skill. I see a general on a horse. I think that's a called hell

Bruns there. And yeah, like I said, a couple of dragon Olga's. So we have a That, that rakes on the points really quickly, I'm going to contrast that to header. Roy, who said he was not feeling. Well, I might not even finish this month's challenge, but he did submit a loan Goblin champion at 38 points, not going to count the points here but it is a very beautiful paint job is goddess. Snotty nose. What I believe that's all on a Model but it is mated to a standard that I could not even

dream to achieve. So even if you are like me and you just going quality of quantity than I think, just looking at these pictures will be really inspiring. We have a couple more I wanted to shout out. We have Joseph Justice who submitted a few units of dark elves, a sorcerer and unit of crossbowmen and of Swordsmen. We have zero quick Marcel muscle. You're from Germany with a group of dwarf, Miners and dwarf

crossbowmen. He wrote a nice little story about them, taking back their ancestral whole, I believe it us. It's been a while since I read it. So sorry myself, I don't do represent your writings correctly here. You can go see for yourself. Of course, Mark Muirfield from The back to the have a Blog with a whole bunch of lizard, man.

He has been putting out a lot of models both quality wise and quantity wise and there's some people have just submitted a single model, Maxwell can with the white dwarf, problem brindle, very nice model. The one where he is holding his helmet upside down and as beer, foaming out of it.

Let's see here, I got a couple of very Black Orcs with one of them has a. I think the Blackhawk General It Is by Rick Beyond. Oh, he's got a sword painted in metallic metals which contrasts really well with the metallic metals on the other axis. And the armor I have to say that is going to be a magic sword. I don't know how else you can feel that. We have rulon's a friend of mine from here from the The Netherlands with a chaos sorcerer, a cinch sorcerer by the looks of it.

What else a normal sport? A lot of chaos. We have some people who added some more stuff to their December pledge. For example, we had Steve Quinn, who's doing wood elves. He submitted a group of War dances and then he said, well, I had already planned on doing Orion for Worried. But he was so much fun to paint.

I squeezed him in in December and it is a beautiful model of course but also a very nice paint job going for the box out there and definitely to a standards that that I would say is at least on par with what you might expect in. Yeah, let's let's just say in the white dwarf and In other gaming magazines. So like I said I really want to shout out all of these but sadly I can't.

So I really have to invite you to go over to the website, GJ's Workshop, dot wordpress.com, you will find all of these pictures there and everything that people wrote about them. If people did run some to write about them, not everybody is writer. I enjoy right. My own story and making it a continuous story. I did it for the Gathering of Mighty painters challenge as well, so my, my baseman feels weird shouting on myself but I'm

going to do it anyway. My Beast Man is a, my general, which I painted in the first month, he's just going to track around, visit. All those legendary, beastmen heroes, and that gives me an excuse to paint all those special. Characters. I'm not sure if I mentioned that before, but if I have, I'm sorry about the double information here.

So yeah, I like writing, I like writing up stories and some people just say, well, this is what I painted and others say, this is what I painted and this is what, what happened during the painting, or this is what I bumped into. This is what went. Well and some people just submitted a photo and a points value and what it's all good.

It's Is what you want. I am also I've been thinking about putting this out there or not, but at the start of the challenge I said everybody gets one Mulligan and I think for an eight-month challenge one, Mulligan that might be a bit too harsh. So some people have already said, oh I'm sorry I have to drop out. I wanted to stay in but I already used my Mulligan and now I have to use another one. I'm not going to Be too strict

on that. So I will always ask you, if you are saying, I want to drop out, is this really what you want or is this just because of the rules because in that case I will happily bend the rules a little bit to keep you aboard. The goal of this challenge is to slay, the gray to get rid of your pile of shame or at least to reduce it a little bit and Also to have fun doing so and to be inspired by others and also to inspire others by your work. I myself, I'm really happy about

the way this challenge is going. It does a lot of work and I don't think that this is something that I want to do every year but organizing a challenge like this is very rewarding more so than I had expected. Expected when I started it. So this is me saying a big thank you to everybody who has participated so far, everybody who is still in the challenge and also everybody who had to drop out for, but whatever reason, it might have been.

I am really grateful to all of you to response and basically just do the way that this is going. And I see On Facebook and on, on the crown of command Discord, I see people encouraging each other, don't remember who it was. But somebody said I might have to drop out or I might not be able to submit something. And then somebody else said, well I just made a character and then you'll get there and then you can paint all the units.

When you have two little bit more time, these little tips and tricks, some people have made complete schedules of what they want to paint each month. If that's something that can help you, then then go for it. And also don't hesitate to ask other people for advice. I know that the pressure of a challenge can be quite helpful, but it can also be a little bit daunting. And it should remain fun, and it should remain something that you that will help you.

You enjoy painting about help you get your units done, get them on the table, for whatever you want to go play at this summer. Thank you everybody for listening and I will see you again next month with another update. When we are at the halfway point of the goal of the crown. In addition to
