From the fabled, fiery forges of the Sunderland of our Clash. Comes con forecast, join us. As we battle on the front lines of a continent lost in darkness, at the time of the Ragnarok. For we are here, not for silence or Slumber for confrontation. I think it's actually philosophical conversations about kind of rotation and where it is now and where we wanted to be in that kind of thing and philosophically. I think it's a bit of a challenge.
I think that you have individuals and I'm more in that camp than others which is like dead is better in the game. Dad is a closed system which for the actual game, not not the velour, the world like for the actual game being dead in some ways, gives it a sense of life, gives it a Some of, you know, not updates that you do not up, not Devastation in some way where it's something comes in and a new profiles better. And we have to repoint everything, which I think is
kind of fun and exciting. But to your point and I think that where we get a lot of value and people like title is we're bringing a new players, we're getting people engaged with the world, we're getting people that maybe weren't around when this art piece first dropped and kind of what happens. Then what happens to continue that growth? Both continue to engage players to try and find a way. If you're bringing somebody a new, how do they find out about Rackham? How do they find models, how
they engage with the game? What are their the touch points are resources? And so, that's where things like the wiki and all the work that Krill is doing, is incredibly valuable. And so it is sort of a mixed bag and it's a balancing act, but and I said the same thing to Kyle as well when I talked to him, that, you know, there is a challenge in that confrontation has this long Rich history and
that I'm rich history. Also has meant that, there's many people like me that are old fogies that are stuck in our ways and you can't necessarily build a game. Build a world build a miniature company interests company around specifically just feel Nostalgia because illness Dowager players, only a handful of us laugh as one of the things we're doing. And so the question is, how do you grow, how do you engage? How do you build that next batch?
The next generation of players that look at Continuum with the same level of reverence? And then look at original rack and things like that and the The more you try to be totally married or stuck with the original 3.0 3.5 rag, you know, 2.0 the harder, it is to strip break away and do your own
thing. So you really have to strike that balance where you're not deviating so much that you've you know, lost the heart, how lost the soul loss for everybody was interested in but you also can't be so tired and so engaged to something that you know it's this old stuck in its old ways kind of thing if you want to bring a new players and bring in some energy and some So it's a tough gal I don't, I don't envy Kyle. I know he's producing a bunch of good work. I know there's another company
that allegedly is closed. Doors, already popped the right solution, see what they do and we'll see kind of what happens going forward, but it's an exciting time as a confrontation fan, for sure. So yeah we'll call is doing is trying to not Reinventing the wheel, but in a sense bringing new game you know incorporating a lot of the old profiles into the game, developing new Miniatures which are beautifully done based on Gary talks, artwork and everything,
everything. Everything about what he's doing is all, you know, based on what we love about confrontation, a lot of a sort of barricade, well, and inspired at the moment, but I'm sure it's going to Branch out and different factions and that kind of thing as well. But really Reducing the cards. I mean it's that's a big thing as well. So it's going to reproduce all the cards for the factions in English and in a new format.
So they got all the you know, the strength attack but all that all the kind of attributes listed in there as well. So it's really refreshing to see this come to light and I know you know, Kyle's just doing the solo. So it's going to take quite a long time to actually get it off the ground, but it's wonderful to see these, you know, little Snippets of news and releases and you can buy the Miniatures, you can buy the cards and that kind of thing from Him.
So, it's really good. So it's a positive step in a direction where I think it's going to eventually end up as being a game where people can actually buy and actually play like you say otherwise, it's going to be Euro, Las Olas, old blokes playing, you know 3.0 3.5 or these different fractured elements of Confrontation which is what I want to get to now is one of the reasons why I brought you on because you're sort of building up a community or building of events centered
around. Rule set that you've created. That are not a massive deviation from 3.0. It's not a massive. And I think that's probably a fair thing to say. It's not, you know. I don't know anything about conversation Evolution, but I'm thinking that's a bit of a, I'm not really sure but anyhow people haven't taken it back through. I'm happy it's no problem. So you can, you can you if you know about it, that's great because I don't know, jack shit
about them. Things about the rule set somewhere where it's happening and kind of the earlier Point around a conversation about like legitimacy in the community and philosophical differences, but I think it's really important to sort of understand the concept in the history around confrontation, where it was like it was 2.0 which is beloved by a huge group of people 3.0 came out.
There was some 2.0 people that really love through point out, as much as 2.0 but kind of got on board 3.0 was wildly successful and you got towards of you know, kind of the the To end the life of Rack Em and they started to shift to that point towards a focus of Asia Ragnarok and and really released 2.5 and 3.5 at that point was a rule set that depending who you talk to increase in enhanced and made something better. And there's also groups that think that made the game a
little bit worse. And so one of the interesting things that happened was a 3.5 in his release was somewhat polarizing. That is polarizing is the pre-painted Plastics but still somewhat polarizing kind of across the board and up to this point, you know, there was As the gdr, there were all the different cores.
All people International kind of a green on some sort of quarter note rule set that was was really beneficial and so with 3.5 dropped and this is sort of at the end of rackham's life when Rackham sort of went under, what you were left with was you were left with an official release of 3.5 that was somewhat controversial. And so what you ended up doing is you saw some of the chords and groups that continue playing 3.5 and you saw a number of groups and chords that basically
were Look 3.5 is not. We want to play in some, some would argue maybe is more detrimental to the game than 3.0 was and so it was a conversation of like what is that look like? Where do we go in that same vein? You're also going to point where because Rocco has gone, bankrupt, has gone under there is no sense or Aura of legitimacy around any sort of rule set.
And so this is the great split, the great Fray into the different rule sets that exist and so It is the starting point for some people that reverted to 3.0 many. Many people play 3.5 the start of the French group creating their own, their own empowered, will set the start of the Italian sort of looking at what they wanted to do for a rule set. And then we're Legacy branches out is actually from the UK cord will set.
And so at the time when rack and went under and the wreck and forums under there actually was a migration of many to a variety of forms, one of them is Dragon painting and I think was what it was and that was really Lot of the UK cord and English speakers actually migrated at that point, at that period of time, the UK cord was trying to come up with a rule set that they were trying to capture and keep aspects and elements of 3.5 while also
eliminating or reducing some of the hardships or problems that occurred in a 3.5 environment. And it's interesting because just like the Italians and eventually what became Evo and the French between pathetic. There's a fundamental agreement across those communities, and while we may not agree on all the rules, we need to agree in that the methodology or some of
those different things. There is a core agreement that 2.5 itself and played purely as 3.5 is not as flexible as interesting or as enjoyable as a game as what it could be. And so each of those rulesets kind of went out and did their own thing to build the better we'll set up and you can coordinate releasing a set of rules in about 2009. I believe, is the last sort of update and that was one of the
last steps a update. And that was the point where Are my local community is because I build communities all across the East Coast. This point, we're starting to look and keep and play off of the UK cord will set and that ended up becoming legacies, rule set from there. And so that really was where we stuck, and that's where we sort of deviated from computation Evolution and confetti, and
those kind of things. And so part of the argument within confrontation as a whole is that the game is super solid, everybody that's played. Gloves that we've all been around for a million years while the old fogies, we love the game but there's sort of philosophical differences of what makes it great? What makes it a good game? What are things that made me need to ship your change to kind of get it to a point where it's more optimized or it's better. It's the game we want to play, right?
And so each of those are fundamental differences and Legacy at the point at this point in time. And then even back then the goal was really sort of the same, which is how do we do the minimal? Impossible to the game to allow it, to retain all of its quirks and allow it to kind of move forward and play. Even if we know that there are some innate imbalances that are
part of the game. And so part of it is like, what are the balances that are so extreme you have to do some sort of Correction of fix or what are some of the changes that we just leave in and we understand? So I'll give an example widely. Received the widely, you know, hopefully uncontroversial summoning. Can be somewhat problematic. Right especially 3.5 were a model comes out and sort of is able to adjust and add additional points to the field.
That may be another Army either has or doesn't have, but if you're not equipped with somebody and it can be consumed or problematic and you have to always least consider that, you know that if you are going to play a series of games, you're probably going to play against majority something list, maybe you don't. But you're going to, you're going to need to be prepared for you the way. And so one of the core questions for that was in 3.0, Mages
Mystics priest. People like are pretty not great because their points costs are already pretty high. They have to cover the costs of their spells or their miracles and it just gets prohibitive 3.5 because everything is free. They massively out class Warrior characters.
This is not really a great reason to bring a warrior character, particularly because many of the mystics may have leadership in high discipline, which allows them to be equally as effective as leaders and some of the Warriors. And so you ended up with this sort of bifurcation and so there was a A lot of discussion within the community of like, how do you balance that? How do you find a way to make
it? So that a player is really trying to make a choice and say, either of these are viable, either of these are reasonable and that kind of thing. And so that led to a series of conversations around things like, you take the Ragnarok tactics and add them to Warrior characters. They can cast things or things like that. Or do you find a way on balance of some amount of free spells? How do you tackle summoning?
And so there's a lot of conversations going back and forth around medicine and ultimately, you can Jordan in sort of Legacy kind of ended up in a similar spot, which is that the best mechanic that we could come up with was to allow for free spells, have someone in always cast this? And I'm happy to admit to anybody out there is not perfect in perfect, and in part of that, is that there's a lot of there
are over, 500,000 the game. There's over 120 Miracles, and they're not all appropriately, costed. Some of them are great, amazing spells. Some of Mr. Or the Miracles. And some of them are not necessarily the most effective. And so part of the argument here is, and this is what confetti, and Evo did is, they said, in order to make this, the game that we want to make this, we actually have to go in. We've got to adjust the points.
We've got to adjust the Spells and sort of their cost or even how somehow some of them operate. We need to look at things like wound levels were plateaus to say it's something that's really, really big. Maybe, maybe it has more than four wound levels. We start to add in points or things like that. Where we look at things like, Ones or ones, failing is such a detrimental thing that it weakens really, really big models and the incentivizes forwards and those kind of
things. And so that was that philosophical, split it. So you ended up getting Legacy which is capturing and keeping some of the warts of the original game. Whereas even confetti have gone to invent and push their game and Direction they want. They've added they've done things that we were talking earlier where they've added new profiles with added things to say, hey the Kini, Behemoth are not robust. How do we add profiles to make that more viable?
Well, and reasonable Army. And well, I don't necessarily agree with that and I'm not, I'm not going to basically, you know, that's not the most that I would play. I fully understand it, I get it. I love it. I love the community is full of passionate people that are engaged with this and approaching the game in the direction that they think is beneficial. And I am happy to put this on the disk, or to this. A number of places I've played, all the roles sense.
Well, I may not necessarily fully agree with him. I love them. I enjoyed playing them. It's a reasonable and great thing, and felon.
The other evil people are spectacular to talk with interact with and they had some really good Traction in the u.s. that probably would have been the closest to legitimate rule set until Sands, detour had come forward since detour asked confrontation, even when to stop, you know, sort of pushing her pursuing the rules, all really, really killed their momentum, but that point up to Leading decisions. Do you go to 0? That was the last of interesting. I didn't know that.
Right now, of course, people who don't know, Sanskrit or bought the IP from Rackham, the and they had launched this Kickstarter that. People are very excited about because it was going to bring back all the models in metal and resin at some point and people pledged a lot of money to support this wonderful idea and they're going to bring out the I
think was a 3.5 rules. It was a Josh, the Re-release the plan at the point for the launch was to bring out starter armies for each of the factions as part of the kickstarter and to use and operate under 3.5 rules. We had a number of sort of unreleased sculpts that they have gone to a couple communities to get some fan-made profiles to add some new profiles to it.
And then ultimately the money of the kickstarter was allegedly supposed to be used to funnel to fund the confrontation Resurrection, which is similar to kind of what Kyle is. Oh, is doing now, which is the next version of duration, the game that uses some of the old profiles but it's new and fresh and different and obviously that never came to fruition. Yes. Sadly.
So, when people lost a lot of money and I think they, they went to court and I think they probably in jail, those guys who put that put that together, which is not a nice thing, and it's horrible to see. But some, there you go. You got to be really careful when you start launching
kickstarter's. But it looks very promising in the beginning, and it looked very hopeful But unfortunately something went awry and they just miscalculated, their costs for producing the models or getting people to sculpt the Miniatures or casting or whatever it might be, and it all went down, the drain. You are a solid agent and nice. That's not about that about that.
But, you know, it is an unfortunate situation and actually think it's a really interesting thing to think about from the community perspective that it's another hit and history of rackham's death. We're we're kind of zombie it and things like that and you lose more legitimacy.
You lose more. More faith in sort of the next things out there which puts added an increased pressure on anybody that continues to produce things within the world, which is unfortunate for the hardcore fans like ourselves. Yeah, I was going to say that I was in the back, row of the kickstarter. I looked at it at a very keen, you know, at that time I wasn't, you know, getting back into Rackham or back. Into confrontation at all.
I still have my collections which I was, I was selling off to Silverado in Canada at the time and I was keeping hold of my dogs, and my goblins because they're my beloved model Collections and I love those guys. I would never part with them for any money but and then I was doing at it in just in curiosity.
How was going to go? How's it going to develop but then I thought well they're going to re-release the 3.0 rules what it was, you know, I thought Well, why stop playing a game when you've actually got you can buy the book. I bought it secondhand, you can buy the books and play the game. You've got the Miniatures, you know, get get onto it, you know just do it and they're going to bring out Resurrection.
I thought okay well let's see what that's like, you know, I'm sort of a little bit unsure about what that was going to be. But obviously never came to fruition anyway but you know, if you've got these Dead games and I love Dead games, I've got I'm
surrounded by them. Just get them out of the shell and play them because you can find someone, who's as passionate as you are about them, then you can just have fun, you know, playing any local in your garage or your local game store or whether it might be. And, you know, these got these games can sort of still breathe life, you know, on the tabletop. I think that's the key. And I think that it's important to also to articulate this that while I don't necessarily love 4.5.
I've spent a lot of my life, playing competition 3.5, and I know there's a huge number of people. People out there that still play. And I know there was an advantage after the last encounter. They just had a bunch of players playing 4.5 and stuff like that which is super exciting. You know as a computation fan were a niche of a Nation a
niche. And so at that point like if anybody's playing it I love it. And well I would always argue for an articulate why I think Legacy is the better way to play. That's never going to stop me from wanting a game or are watching. People throw dice or seeing rack and models on the table. So I think it's a super exciting. Thing. And I'm really happy that after all this time, they're still players out there that are entranced by the game that still love it.
That when I go out and demo, we're talk about it. Somebody has some inkling, their head of, they heard about it back in the day or hey, they want to try it now. And I think that's been a lot of fun, and sort of community building and kind of keeping the enchilada. Yep. I think so, might I think, well, I think if you really fell in love with the game, like I didn't play the game, personally only had a couple of games of it back in the day when it was still around.
But I love I love the Miniatures, I love the artwork, I love the concepts. I love the ideas behind it, and it's sort of just being a process of learning about it now. Yeah, playing the games. Eventually, you know, now playing the games and learning learning that process of all the different profiles. All the different rules is quite a complex Beast confrontation. But it's a beautiful Beast. I think it's definitely a huge game and it's one of the reasons why even as a dead system, it's
still pass a encapsulating. So I've been playing competition for over 20 years. Um, I ended up starting in C1. I had French friends that knew the game and we're able to sort of translate it when it's French, only.
Wow. And that was really fun and then obviously C2 is where it started to hit to take off and we had some English translations of the C2 rules and it became pretty popular at the time early on this is where I was competing with with things like a workshop and depressed and I kind of stuff and you know it was really the market wasn't as saturated as is now and in rap. And speaking of the art Rackham, really at the time was, you know, leagues above everyone
else. In terms of their work, they're producing the models that producing and their Studio paint jobs, were substantially better than a lot of stuff though was also out there and so you know, that was a golden age to bring people into the game. They could get models, they could play the game that could see the art.
And so there's a lot of a lot of fun and, you know, play Z2 and feeling that and how that's substantially different than three and then playing three in the plane 3.5 and stuff like that was It was really a lot of fun and it's been able to kind of keep people invested and part of the game for me for such a
long time. So I started with lions because of the time we started there were not a lot of armies and then I spent a lot of time in terms of War for a while and then obviously I've known across the community Forum in or which is one of the things that I'm incredibly passionate about. So I've played with her against everything over the years and it's part of the fun but there's just something Thing about mid-north that captures me, even play another armies.
I'm always a plan that nor and and I'd be the best but they always have some tricks up their sleeve there. Always a lot of fun and it's just something about those little puppet doors in the field. They're really concerned that that's toss until George Shake was. I recently purchased I was fortunate to purchase a like an army lot from the guy in France actually of Midway. They sort of interested me early on but not enough to buy any models. Have bought any of them but now I love them.
I actually love them. Now, I think they're just, I like the Cyclops. I mean, the Cyclops is just the most iconic model they've ever made. I think of all the big beasties they made. I think that's just a great looking model but they're beautifully painted too. And that's another thing about confrontation, you may not like the game, check out the art, check out the paint jobs on those Miniatures.
Because and the sculpting itself, the designed the everything that about that company propelled in everybody, So far higher up in terms of quality that it just blew everybody away. And that's, that's the thing about Rackham that. I love the most, it just, it just it just spun everything on its head, because for generations and for years now even now you still seeing the repercussions of that Mike, you know, in the industry. People are still trying to reach that level.
I've never run into a high-end professional painter. That is not familiar with confrontation. In start with competition. And I think it's really important for for many people that maybe came to the game late to understand that while Rackham, horrible business sense in poorly run company in somebody different ways. And there's so many stories about that but the artwork is amazing and the stuff that was produced is really Talent
boundary. And also the time again was attracting some super high level painters. So the hobby aspect of Confrontation was always and its continued to continue continue to kind of be high. Which is one of the other things that can be intimidating for newer players, but it also is an exciting time because you get to see some beautiful models and beautiful paint jobs. And most of the paint jobs, if you will find the internet of the look of these models will say, oh, that's what that
amazing. But mostly paint jobs on these models are 20 years old. You're seeing models that are models of my collection and old enough to drink and so it's like one of those things. I'm at the Hobby and stuff like that. And when I, when I work with groups, when I try and create Community, when I host events, it's a dead game. And part of the goal here is the celebration of the whole part of the game.
It's a whole, it's a celebration of the game itself, to Celebration of the model, celebration of the painting, The Hobby aspects, celebration of the narrative or the lower, the experience that is confrontation. And I think that for people that really really love this game, what really ends up happening is it's really captured this magical feel of the narrative experience.
Variants those double sixes that going, instantly, kill something like this, Nick, with that moment where your big fight my well, I know, but you might be like a lot of ones and then he just likes to die and some horrific lie, embarrassing, fashion and well that's possible a lot of other games. It doesn't seem to have the same feel the same swing. That a confrontation game seems to have and that's one of the reasons, kept me coming back, my play, confrontation every week
for over 20 years. Like I said, well that's, um, I've always said, I've been lucky to have a group and when I don't have a group, I'm I've been lucky to have friends or people a family that I'll have a game setup will play. Unless I'm always a game that up in my house right now, there's a table set up with models on it, that's just how it is. And so, it's the one thing, it makes me sound like an insane crazy person that I'm hanging onto a game that's been dead
for. Yeah, but it's a lot of fun and
it's been really enjoyable. And one of the things that is interesting about the confrontation Unity as a whole is that because we're small in the niche Anish Anish, we end up in a spot where for many people, it's harder to find games, harder to find players and so the stuff that you're producing the stuff, the Germans produced and stuff, but others are building is helpful for people to find and engage in the world when they may not be able to engage in a game.
It's also why seeing beautifully painted? Competition models is really important because you end up getting a spot for that as well. So it's been, it's been really enjoyable. In trying to keep the community live and continue to grow the community at least in my local area as well. That's wonderful. Josh now you've been responsible for holding events at Gen. Con, is that correct? I have not. So I do. I do not hold events to check on
though. I know there's been a number of instances in Congress has been great. I actually host an annual event called the computation World Invitational. That's been going on for several years now, least 67. I lost track, but the idea here is, it's been a celebration of the confrontation Community. We can people together is three-round event with Legacy
rules. We give away ridiculous prizes and we just have it be like, a fun little tongue-in-cheek thing that's been it's really enjoyable. But I posted number events over the years ago, across the east coast, and this has become sort of my annual thing that I do and we actually do people come and travel last year, a couple from one, from France, a couple from the West Coast.
If the game going but it really is about that celebration really is about hosting this event and having those games and you know, there are many events out there that are, you know, function as hard as you possibly can. And certainly you may see some of that in some computation events but CBI has always been sort of that celebration with a hobby with some ridiculous scenarios that everybody leaves for mad at me and they leave their opponent, really? What I think it's all about.
I think one interesting thing is that it's worth highlighting for the community is there are games at Gen Con, I'm near Nova open, which is actually happening this weekend and usually I'm a time will be there this year unfortunately. But usually a man of open running demo games or hosting confrontation things like that. And I think that those are the things that were people that maybe are as local gives them an opportunity or reason to come to some of these events.
But they're going to play Warhammer 40,000 or some of their game. But then you know, the night sets in and you're like, oh my gosh. So confrontation and some I think that's part of the community. What's really important is to keep it alive and keep people engaged in playing. Absolutely my destiny thing have fun. You know, the main line don't take it too seriously. It's not supposed to be but yet went liking it like for like
second edition confrontation. I can see why the people in people enjoy that because a lot of narrative to it as a lot of story they're like these make these certain packs. We could have like Adventures or your characters. You could develop them and that way.
And then C 3 went to more of a competitive sort of angle, but I appreciate all of the different kinds of iterations that computation have gone through and I think you can sort of end with your rule set Legacy. I'm interested in that as well because I didn't really tickly like 3.5 so much. So everyone has, you know, everyone has their own contributions to share and develop and that kind of thing.
And we can take from that, like you said, you've played every single iteration of every single bearing of that computation has been And you've enjoyed all of them. And I think that's a good place to be. And I think that's where we really need to be it. Because at the end of the day, we want to play our game. We want to use our Miniatures that we painted and a proud of and put them on the table and actually roll some dice and have some fun, and, you know, have some fun with their friends.
And that's the main goal. So, whatever it might be as long as you can get your Minis on the table. That's, that's the job done made. I think really, you know, so you just go have fun. I agree with that. I think it's one of the things that is useful in this part. Social talk about because I know Legacy as a rule set, seems very fan-made, whatever this kind of thing. And I want to be cleared. And what he was listening that it's not my rule set.
I don't sit around in a basement like that many things that is happening with Legacy over the years, as we actually have a number of people that have played for a long time, that are part of a committee and every year after see wi will engage as a committee will review the real set for the year and say other things that we need to look at her chest. Change or shift and we vote on it and move forward with that. Usually there's a play test period for it as well.
We play test it and see. Hey, this is what we thought is it actually work out or things like that. And that's where we've seen some of those shifts and changes. But philosophically as a rule set, legacies core principle is to be the minimum disruption possible.
So you'll notice like, if you look at the Legacy rules up, that we haven't added additional bands or updates to profiles, we've kept with the gdr as cap because we didn't see or nor do we want to restrict players from Singing playing things. They want to play. We've Incorporated a couple of minor updates that own shout out to confetti. One of the things that confetti put in place.
Was a death of the summer mechanic, where it can kill the Summoner, the summons themselves collapse and die, which is doesn't affect Elemental summoning. But it affects things like, so when anime or it's never a or Angels, which can be really beneficial to get rid of the spam on the field, you just have to go and kill that and overall Caster. So those are rule sets that we've taken and looked at from some of the others out there. We've said, hey those our does make a lot of sense.
They work really well. And ultimately Legacy is a rule set is designed to kind of keep players making interesting choices. And the goal here is our Warriors as good as mistakes are, you know, cheap profiles, as good as powerful and strong profiles, and vice versa. And that may not please everybody. And other people may disagree or have different mindsets to have, but the rule sets been fairly effective.
It's kept a similar Vibe and field of people that play 3.0 and I think that it ends up in a spot where You want to play confrontation? You want to have a variety of profiles. It's probably my opinion on this, which is why I'm on your right. The best will have their for that. So yeah, now I'll I'll let Legacy in that. It doesn't detract Too Much from the original game because I love
my books. You know, I love just looking through the 3.0 book and I've just what I've done is just taken your, your spell and Magic. Component from your little set and incorporating 3.0. So, I'm not actually playing a legacy rules, which will probably get to it at some point. I mean probably get to that at some point, but I'm just taking that that, you know, you having to pay the AP / likes per spell
instead of doing that. Just taking the the cost of the spellcaster and you get that that many AP points, free of spells. So, yeah, I really like that idea about it. It's the unique. It's unique situation, it's pretty pretty beneficial. So originally one of the rules was talking about. We bounced around around was like, if you are ranked 1 Mystic you get one intensity ones Bell for free. If your ring to missing good one intensity to spell for that kind
of thing. And it really works out and it doesn't break well with the number of the paths that individual Mages have. And so this actual mindset is actually pretty added than the Legacy rule set is actually fairly elegant. Because what it means is that That Goblin majors are incredibly cheap but it also limits, the amount of free spells that they have whereas a wolf and Majors incredibly expensive, and many players are like hesitant to bring Eric sort of bring over some of these
other Mages out there. But because you have such a huge repertoire free spells, you don't really have to worry about any added additional cost to that mission. So it ends up being fairly elegant and allowing those kind of characters and different armies to have some benefit, but also relative balance to it. So it's worked out fairly well.
Happy with the miracle Acquisitions as well, which 3.5 Miracle acquisition is taking essentially, the magic system and bolted onto the faith system with the face system that was never really designed for that. And so it doesn't work, particularly well. I'm going five in my opinion, but the idea of Miracle acquisition being tied to an individual faithfuls Rank, and that's a modifying. How many miracles they can take? I think is is somewhat beneficial and actually works out fairly well.
So we've been happy with those changes. They've worked Worked for the well. And then many other Legacy changes are leaving things fairly simple, or trying to streamline rules or get things in a way that are beneficial and common one. That's complaint for newer players is Bullseye without bullseye on 3.0. Many shooters aren't necessarily in that effective with Bullseye in 3.5 some of those Shooters
can be insanely effective. And so, putting an upper bound to it or things like that allows the shooters to still be somewhat effective. But not the totally crippling A lot of players that are out there. Am I nothing? Not even the right, right? Cause they're you and you and the other guys, they're forming
these rules. So it's great to see that people are still active in the community, playing the game, and try to change it to the benefit of the players and bring something new, and that's what it's all about. So, Josh, I want to really thank you, mate, for coming on and spend the time to talk with me today. And I hope all.
