Episode description

Joe sits down with Shane Larkin, to chat about his life and career.

The Anadolu Efes point guard also opens up about his OCD and how the disorder impacts on the life of an athlete.

He talks about his family and what he learnt about being a professional sportsman from his father Barry Larkin, who is in baseball’s Hall of Fame.

Larkin discusses his disrupted college career, when he ended up as a huge part of a fabulous Miami Hurricanes team. One of his alley-oop passed prompted a standing ovation from Dwayne Wade and LeBron James, who were in the crowd.

Since his NBA debut with the Dallas Mavericks, Larkin has played for US organisations New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics, while his first spell in EuroLeague was with Baskonia. The American tells Joe how and why he has made his moves around the basketball world.
