Born out of the fear of not knowing how to 'be good at life' in her twenties - she and creative partner in crime, Josh Schmidt wrote, directed and starred in a no-budget series that went from community TV to the ABC - and even to flirtations with Hollywood. I caught up with Jess - appropriately raspy-voiced on the Monday morning after a big weekend - to talk about the highs and lows on her continuing journey of learning how to turn what she loves into a career.
