Have you ever wondered where the problems in the world today would exist if we have deeper connection to ourselves, others, and the environment, and acted from that place? Welcome to the Conscious Action Podcast with your host Brian Berneman, who believed that connection is the key to taking conscious action as individuals and creating a better world. We are here to raise awareness and inspire meaningful action by sharing stories, knowledge and conversations.

With thought leaders and change makers, from sustainability to wellbeing, and everything related to conscious living, our mission is to empower you to be the change that you wanna see in the world. Welcome to a new episode of the Conscious Action Podcast. I am Brian Berneman, your host. Um, for this episode, I wanted to explore the idea or the concept. Of seeing everything as new, seeing every single moment as a new opportunity, as a new chance.

And this comes from a lot of different practices that I've done through the years that have shown me how real it is that every moment is new, even though. There's a tendency to think or to believe that things are happening and that there's such a thing as a past, present and future in a sense that doesn't exist. And also we are experiencing that. So how can I allow myself to navigate through those things? How can I allow myself to.

B, in that space of seeing everything as fresh, everything without judgment of what can be formed, what it is that I have done or that others have done. Just an example, when we are in a dynamic with someone else, whether that is a partner, a coworker, the friend, we step into the space with them or the conversation. With the knowledge of everything that came before. So if someone did something that we would charge or consider as wrong, then from that moment on that is clouding.

It's clouding our judgment of them. There's not a space for allowing them to be new, to see them as new and the same for us. They might think the same. We might have done something that they might. and we are doing a lot of work in ourselves, and we're growing and developing and changing. Yet the dynamic is already created there.

So I think that there's times in our lives that we need in those relationships, whether that is a relationship to ourselves or to others, to do an upgrade, to take a moment, to do a change of perspective. Or a new agreement for the dynamics. If we have done a lot of work on ourselves, we are not going to be the same person that did the things that happened in our past. So it's important for ourselves to be able to recognize we are no longer that version of our.

. So why are we carrying that with us? Why are we clinging onto that? Or why is that clinging onto us? So to be able to navigate through that, a lot of times we need to process and heal and integrate those aspects or those actions that we have done in the past. We need to include all of that to be able to open ourselves to something new, because if. We are not really changing , it seems as we are changing, but we are not or fully. So can we allow things to be new?

Can we allow mindsets to be new? Can we allow actions to be new? Can we allow what we see and experience to be new? I'm fresh. I have talked about this on previous episodes about changing the perspective. . I believe that what I'm seeing in front of me is something that I'm seeing every day in my computer or my microphone.

Can I see them as new today as if I'm seeing them for the first time, can I look out the window and see the garden and see that as new and not something that I'm taking for granted? Because every day it's there. This freshness, this joy of discovery, just like being a kid that is experiencing things for the first time and it's like, wow, look at that. You know? How amazing is it? A lot of things that we take for granted.

How amazing is it that I can go out and go to the garden and see all of these trees and these plants and these veggies? How amazing is it? that there's all of these colors, all of these textures that I have a functioning body different. We are all in different health, optimal health, or like whatever conditions we have a circumstances that we have, but mostly we have functioning body. How amazing is that? This comes back to as well, to that place of gratitude that a lot of times I talk about.

can I see things anew? Can I see myself anew? And that a lot of times gives the opportunity for us to change because if I'm new, then I can choose differently. If I don't allow for that, then there's no way that I can choose differently because I'm just going to be tied to the patterns of behavior that I. Carried on for my entire life. So if I allow myself to change to be new all the time, then the possibilities are endless.

If I can allow my body to be new, to develop a new relationship with my body, with every cell in my body, I can allow for something new and different to manifest and to material. If I change my perspective of my relationship with work, with money, with everything, then I'm allowing something new to come from there. If I am stuck in the same patterns, nothing will change. So can I allow myself, can you allow yourself for this possibility for every single day as we wake?

to feel really that we've just been reborn and this is new and that everything that came before, yes, if we haven't processed it, it's coming with us and we can do that work of processing things so that doesn't have a hold on us. So then when we wake up, it's like, this is. this day is new. I am new. This world is new. Everything that is happening is new.

Can we balance that with knowing that, okay, I'm going to wake up, I'm going to perhaps going to drink some water with the lemon, going to go to a bathroom, going to do my practice, going to go to work, whatever it is that we. Can we balance the knowing of all of those patterns or routines with a fresh perspective, with allowing the new, because when we do that, everything is possibility. We have so many options because we can choose differently.

And this is something a lot of times that it's so ingrained. , all of those patterns, all of those behaviors that we don't even realize that there's a way that we can change, that there's a way out of all of those patterns of behaviors. This is something that I usually work with most of my clients and most of my students, understanding what has been, where we've been, what we've done, and knowing that that doesn't need to be us anymore if we so choose.

If we choose to be different, then from this moment on we can be different. That doesn't change what we've done yet. What we can change is our relationship with what we've done. What we can change is to see things with more possibilities and stuff with the doom and gloom that a lot of times we see things instead of bring. Uh, feeling of being anxious for what's coming.

Can we just be expend expecting We can be in that place of oh, of this magnificent, beautiful world that is unfolding in front of us, and where we place our attention, we can choose. Yes, it might take some practice. It might take some learning and some relearning of things. That's what we do every single day. Every single day I have the choice, and you have the choice to change, grow, develop, or to stay the same. There's nothing wrong with them, the same in that comfort zone.

Yet when we step out of that comfort, Life is beautiful. Life is amazing. It doesn't mean that it's not at the moment yet we most of the time are living quite small. How come we live big? Can we allow ourselves to expand beyond our wildest dreams? That is what the new perspective, that is what seeing life as new all of the time brings it's endless possibilities because every little. It's amazing. It's like, wow, this hand and this is not being high or on drugs or anything.

This is literally, how amazing is it that I can look at my hand and I can see it functioning and all of the movement that it has and everything that's going under. We're taking that for granted. We're not seeing it. So what are the aspects of your life that you can do this with? What are those spaces that you can give yourself the possibility of opening to being reborn every single day, to allowing every single cycle to be new, to allowing the possibilities of choosing differently.

How can you allow yourself the space to unlearn certain dynamics and patterns of behavior? How can you allow yourself to integrate and process everything that happened so that doesn't have a hold on you anymore? How can you allow your relationships and interactions to be fresh? This is not something that might change from this moment on. It might take a while to do all of this, or it might be it's super fast question. Changing the perspective. That is an invitation.

So let me know how that goes for you. Let me know if this is something that you're already practicing, perhaps in your life. And I hope that as we are in a new cycle, as um, we are, I'm recording this at the beginning of the year, change 23, if you can allow things to be. Just let us know in the comments what's it been like for you? How are you doing this? How are you experiencing the new? And we'll see you on the next episode. Bye.
