Summary

Kim Barker delves into the 1985 cold case of Shelli Wiley's murder in Laramie, Wyoming, a town she remembers for its harshness. She explores the perplexing 2016 arrest of former Sheriff's Deputy Fred Lamb, found with DNA evidence at the scene, who then made a quasi-confession before prosecutors unexpectedly dropped the charges. Barker connects with Shelli's sister and niece, uncovering their long-held suspicions about the initial police investigation and their struggle for justice.
