Episode description

Claire is known for her opinion of much of the use of  tools and techniques in coaching. And she’s up to be challenged.  So when Joanna Lindenbaum from the Applied Depth Institute asked whether we wanted to talk about using resistance archetypes in coaching, we pulled up a chair at The Coaching Inn and said let’s talk!.

We talk about resistance in coaching, and what you notice. There’s mention of systemic practice and ritual. This is about noticing and naming - as an offer, in partnership. There’s a subtle difference when done well from typecasting or diagnosing. Brene Brown says that the opposite of pathologising is normalising. Listen to some of the ways we can normalise and be human.
