UTP Chronicles: The Jack Benjamin Interview part 1
Episode description
My series of StoryCorps interviews for the USCA University Theatre Oral History project continues with the first part of my interviews with department founder and professor emeritus Jack Benjamin. We go from his beginnings in Washington DC to his work in starting the Brookhaven College (now Dallas College at Brookhaven) theatre program, and his landing at USC-Aiken to plant the seeds of the UTP program. It's a fascinating and educational look at how a theatre program is established and is a must-listen!
