Shaelyn Fiske is a soon to be special education teacher for students with mild to moderate and severe intellectual disabilities. On this episode, Shaelyn opens up about her family dynamic and being an only child. Shaelyn walks us through what it was like growing up with an alcoholic father. She talks about how difficult it was for her to process and how therapy played a huge role in learning how to cope with her family struggles. Also, she discusses how her mother being a special education teacher inspired her to pay it forward and help students with disabilities.
