This episode focuses on controlling your nerves during an interview. We hear from Hilary Chapa, an Administrative Assistant in Admissions & Outreach at the College of DuPage, who will share her tips and personal experiences with interviewing as well as how to keep calm during the interview process. We will also discuss the Career-Ready Competency of the Day: Communication and answer a listener mail question about how to document an unemployment gap on a resume. 

Topic #1: Pierre introduces the Competency of the Day: Communication and discusses the different ways you can demonstrate your communication skills within the job search. 

Topic #2: Michelle interviews Hilary Chapa, an Administrative Assistant in Admissions & Outreach at the College of DuPage, about controlling your nerves during an interview. Hilary talks about being a career changer, tips for keeping calm before and during an interview, as well as resources she found helpful. 

Topic #3: Rebecca answers a Listener Mail Question: “I have been working at a retail store for the last few years. With everything going on I have not worked for the last month but will be returning soon. When I revise my resume do I have to show the unemployment gap?”
