Impostor syndrome is one of those horrible nagging doubts that some of occasionally experience. Being in a position of thinking you're an impostor can be crippling. Thinking that you will fail in front of people and they will find you out can be suffocating. There are so many people in so many professions that go through this torment on a regular basis. The terrible truth is, they are generally incredibly competent. An impostor is someone who is a genuine fraud. They steal identities and work from others and claim it as their own. If you are feeling like an impostor, make sure that you are making time to speak with the right people about correcting this negative phrase. If you are an impostor and you are fraudulent in stealing peoples work and material, it's time to lift your game. Do something better with your life. Maybe try a healthy dose of authenticity.
