If you haven't read Alexander's book yet, I strongly urge you to read it prior to walking and even after walking! I sure wish I would have read it before my first Camino. Alexander, a veteran Pilgrim, is also a best-selling author, well-known speaker, anthropologist, and psychologist. He serves the Camino community as a pilgrimage mentor and retreat leader. In this interview, you will hear us chat about his own Camino transformation, the hero journey and how it applies to Pilgrimage, and his seven-step process in making a Camino a Rite of Passage. It was an honor to have Alexander visit us at The Camino Cafe. The guidance he offers in this interview is helping me to continue the processing of my 2019 Pilgrimage. I can't wait to use all of his suggestions from his book when I walk my next Camino. Buen Camino!
