An automation is a drip-fed campaign we create ahead of time and it continually runs. Examples of this include the automated emails you receive when you opt into someone's newsletter, the emails that follow when you download a lead magnet, or even the emails when you purchase a product.

• The purpose of the automation
• The subscriber who will go through the automation
• The subscribers starting point
• The ideal outcome of the automation
• The journey for the subscriber that the automation takes them on
• The frequency of the email sends
• The rough content that needs to be included for the automation to meet the outcome
• What’s complementary to your automation
• And whatever you need to add to make your business easier to run — as yes, automation benefits us too!
