Mufti Zeshan was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio. After moving to Chicago in his early teens, he completed the memorization of the Qurʾan at the Institute of Islamic Education. He then joined the six-year ʿĀlimiyyah program in the same institute. Upon graduating, Mufti Zeshan enrolled in Darul Iftaa Chicago and completed his training under the tutelage of Mufti Abrar Mirza, the founder of the American Fiqh Academy. Mufti Zeshan currently serves as the Religious Director of Masjid Uthman.
