Shoulder to Shoulder Shield Time, Welcome to the Buck Sexton Show team. Welcome to the Freedom Hot Friday, December second edition of the program. We have Kanye kicked off of Twitter at least suspended for the time being for some really bad stuff, really anti semitic,
really vile things. But people are now having a conversation about what are the limits of free speech on Twitter? What should they be. Discuss some of that with you, because it matters a whole heck of a lot to the future of our ability to exchange ideas on the Internet. And then Liver King is a primal paleo fitness and lifestyle influencer that I've seen a lot of stuff online and he's on steroids, which is not surprising, but people are really upset about it. I want to talk about
why that is. And then also Indiana Jones five is going to be coming out. What's going on with movies these days? Why aren't there more good movies being made? That'll be next summer, by the way, So it's like six months out we'll discuss all this. But you know, when it comes to your information online, you got to defend it, and you've got to be aware if there's a breach that involves you, right, But that's really hard.
We're all busy got stuff going on. The bad guys, cyber hacker, cyber thieves, they when there's a breach, buy this stuff. And the breach comes from cyber hackers. They buy this stuff on the dark web. You're personally identifiable information. Then they use it, take out loans, credit cards in your name, and they can destroy your credit. You need someone to have your back. It's important to understand how
cybercrime and identity theft are affecting our lives. LifeLock by Norton Detective alerts you to potential identity threats you may not spot on your own, and if you do become a victim of identity theft, a US based restoration specialist will work to fix it. Now. No one can prevent all identity theft or monitor all transactions at all businesses,
but it's easy to help protect yourself with LifeLock. like it has been averted. It looks like there's not actually going to be a massive a massive fight between these digital online giants of well, Apple obviously, which some would argue is the most influential and wealthiest company in the world in some ways, and Twitter, which was just bought by Musk forty four billion dollars. They seem to
have figured things out. But right now, Elon Musk, it's a private company, he's the boss, is determining what the scope of free speech actually includes online and it doesn't seem to be a total free for all. There are going to be limits now, not just limits by law because that's obviously understandable. There are limits to what could be considered speech. For example, a very clear one, as
you cannot threaten to kill someone. That's a good law that makes sense that death threats do go beyond what we need or should accept as free speech in society. What about hate speech? Though, now I don't I don't want to play it because it's already getting way too much attention. But you know Kanye, Oh, I know people refer to as ye now or yea. I don't know ye. But Kanye has been in the midst of what seems to me to be a mental health down. I think
that's pretty clear. And he's saying really really awful stuff. And see, I have free speech too, so I can say, yeah, it's awful stuff. Right. But should Kanye be kicked off of Twitter for saying things that are anti Semitic and vile? A lot of people are going to say yes. A lot of people in the right are saying yes. Some people are saying, hold on a second, where are we going to draw the line on when it comes to hate speech on say, Twitter, which is private, it's different
than the government. The government absolutely should not be in and it is not constitutional for the government to be regulating hate speech, but it tries to do so. This is about power dynamics as much as anything else. But
that is wrong. The government should not be regulating speech just because it is hurtful, just because it is upsetting, because they use that same approach, and I mean the Biden administration use that same approach to shut down conversations, debates back and forth on mat asks, on vaccine mandates, on election problems, election criticism, whatever it may be. They say, oh, well,
that's too dangerous. We have to understand we're operating in a world now where the Democrats consistently say that speech they don't like is violence. So they're willing to be deeply disingenuous and intellectually dishonest to get their way, And so we have to be very vigilant about the expansion of well, that's a hate crime to will, is mis gendering a hate crime? Is dead naming a hate crime?
And how are we going to have anybody who can really police these things without it just becoming essentially entirely political in nature? These are complicated issue. The First Amendment is always going to have complexities to it because on the government side, yes, there's that part of the debate,
but then there's also free speech as a principle. Now, if you are adhering to free speech as a principle as a company, does that mean that people should be able to post ideas and post things on your site in this case Twitter, that are grotesque, that are beyond the pale, that are that are that are hateful and vengeful and untrue freeal, free speech principles old school. Uh, you know the ACLU from fifty years ago. Now, the ACLU is just a left wing interest group that doesn't
care about freedom of free speech at all. It just tries to attack and destroy the enemies of the of the progressive left. But they would say yes, and in fact, the Supreme Court as decisions that suggest that, certainly from a government intervention perspective, grotesque speech, speech that is hateful and harmful is protected absent direct incitement to violence, threats of killing somebody, things like that. There are civil courses of action for defamation. So saying things about an individual
that are untrue, we will draw a line there. But saying things about a group that may be untrue group defamation, Well, now you start to you're starting to expand what the possible actions may be against speech that is disfavored and whether it ranges from distasteful to disgraceful. This is where
the debate will be. And so I know there are people right now who are saying that Elon suspending Kanye that that they have People on the right are saying this is not he is not adhering to true free speech principles different from legal protection from the Constitution, the First Amendment. Because it's a private company. It is Look, Twitter is a private company can do what it wants
at some level. That's that is also true. So I think we have to start to on the right have a conversation about you know, we either say that hate speech should not be regulated by companies and that's our position, or we open ourselves up to the or we're going to be in the midst of I should say, a constant debate over you know, is calling a tan, it's saying that trans men can't sorry, a trans woman is
not a woman? Is that hate speech? The left says yes, So if we're going to have hate speech rules enforced by Twitter, we're just arguing over what the degree is and what counts that want constitutes hate speech And maybe there's no way around this. I understand that maybe this is just always the way that was going to be. But I think we should at least be aware of what all of this entails. There are some things that I think you always want to spend more money on.
You know, you always want to get the best your bed. For example, you gotta get a good night's sleep. Sushi. I think you want to get high quality sushi if you're gonna eat raw fish. I don't think you want the cheap stuff that's on sale for fifty percent. And is you know a week gold that been sitting out in the sun. You know what I mean? You want to pay more? What about the chair you're in for
hours at a time. I mean, I'm doing this show right now in an X chair and I spend a lot of time in my chair every day, so I kind of want the best chair I can possibly get. And that's what you get with an X chair. And it's not a good that you're going to purchase and be like, oh my gosh, this is this is like a low price. It's not a a doorbuster, you know, bottom of the bottom of the barrel kind of price item. It's gonna be an item that you're getting what you
pay for. But you can finance it twenty dollars a month. Don't you want to be in a super comfortable chair twenty dollars. I'm gonna think about that. How many hours you're spending in your chair and that's twenty dollars a month on twenty dollars a day. So for less than a dollar a day, you can get something that makes all the hour I spent at your desk that much more comfortable. I love the X chair I'm sitting in.
I love it so much. I got my dad one, I got my sister one, and you're gonna love it too. You've got to get yourself an X chair. There's one for every style and budget, and they got all different colors and additions you can make to them. They got massage, heating and cooling function. Check out all their options and they're amazing. Financing plans at x chair buck dot com. That's the letter X chair buck dot com. No other chair can compare to X chair. Just go now, go
to x chair buck dot com. I am telling you you're gonna love your X chair. Liver King. Liver King, if you're not familiar with him, I actually have his I have his name here. I keep calling him the Liver King. He is a guy who for a while, Brian Johnson's his name. He's gotten huge millions and millions of people follow him on TikTok and Facebook and Instagram, and he calls his followers primals, and he is advocating a primal lifestyle, meaning returning to what we know from
our ancestors, from the dawn of the human age. Essentially, what do human beings need physically and and how does that affect their mental health? Getting sunshine, eating real food, not process crap and seed oil, and you know all these different things that are hard to spell and pronounce that you'll see on the labels of certain foods. You know, he's essentially a paleo. He's really a paleo influencer in a lot of ways for the paleo diet. But he's a guy who if you look at him, you say,
that guy's on steroids. And this is far more common than a lot of people realize. I can tell you that usually I can look at people, even if they're fitness influencers, and say that person's taking steroids. I'm not saying I'm always right, but I'm usually right, and I'm just a guy who pays attention. It's far more common in a lot of gyms and gym culture and fitness influencer world than most folks realize. And Liverking got caught
by either. There's emails that came out that show that he's spending He has said before that he did not take steroids, and he's spending like twelve thousand dollars a month on steroids, and here he is apologizing for it and taking the heat for it. Listen, yes I've done steroids, and yes I'm on steroids monitored and managed by a
trained hormone clinician. Liver King the public figure was an experiment to spread the message, to bring awareness to the four thousand people a day who kill themselves, that eighty thousand people a day that tried to kill themselves are people are hurting at record rates with depression, autoimmune anxiety, infertility, low ambition in life. While spreading the message, I've been on several podcasts and when asked if I've ever taken steroids, I've always said no, I don't touch the stuff, not
going to touch the stuff, never touch the stuff. That was a lie. Now it's disappointing to people because I think that they believed in this guy a lot, and these days anybody who's advocating true health and wellness for others. Now, look, he did tell everybody to eat a lot of like bull testicles, and there there was a little bit of performance art of this liver. He's a liver king. You
should be eating liver all the time. I think organ meat is generally pretty gross and I don't want to eat it, and I don't eat it, So I'm not going to tell other people, but red meat good for you. The people have been telling you for the last well however many decades that red meat is bad for you, are wrong. Red meat is good for you. And a lot of these studies always saturated or fat and all this other stuff. No, no, no, it's good for you.
So I'm even argue that it's it's a better source of protein all in than chicken, which is usually considered, i think, the most baseline protein for people who are who are carnivores, who are meat eaters. So I know it's disappointing to people, But there's a few things that come up with this. One is there's still a lot of wisdom in what the guy was saying, spend time with your families, spend time outside, get sunlight, lift weights,
get stronger. But in order to break through and deal with the pressures of this world where people are obsessed with the superficial and fitness they're obsessed with, you know, they won't listen to somebody unless oh, and people even I'll say things that I know from other people in the world of fitness who are are national level competitors or people who have in an incredible shape, and I'll just say I'll say something that is a true thing that I know from talking to them, And people say, oh,
but you know, what do you bench? You don't bench four hundred or five hundred pounds? Why should listen to you? Well, because the truth is the truth, right, I mean you can listen to there are scientists who will tell you who are true, true students of because a real scientist is always a student. It's another important thing. They're always learning more, always open minded about things. Not this. You know, the COVID CONCERNSUS scientists or cowards. But the real scientists
out there on health and wellness issues. You know a lot of them, aren't. They don't look like WWE superstars, obviously because a lot of those guys are taking steroids. So it's just about being healthy, being the best, strongest and best strongest version of yourself. And I think that in a lot of ways, liver King was encouraging to people in that regard. Like I used to watch his videos. They were entertaining, but a lot of what he said
was true. And I feel badly because I know there are people, especially younger men, guys who are eighteen to twenty five, who didn't realize this guy's was I mean, it was obvious all along. There's no surprise it was on steroids. I've seen other fitness influencers say, I mean, the Liver King's on steroids, but I think he's kind of funny. They feel betrayed by this, which is a shame, but there's still a lot of truth in what he said.
And I think it's also good for people to know that a lot of what you see online on Instagram and all the rest of this stuff, it is not real, meaning that they're not getting the visual that you are seeing is not the result of products or regimens that people are pushing. That it is not attainable. There are physiques that are not attainable without steroids, testosterone, hgh, period, full stop. That's reality. But people don't think that. They
don't because every people lie about it. They lie about it all the time, right, I mean, if somebody is going to cheat on a test in high school, they don't want to tell everybody they cheat it. They want to get one. Hundreds of people think that the smartest person in the class. Well, steroid use is rampant in this country right now. It's it's actually it's in a lot of places you wouldn't even expect it. There have been some cases of pretty widespread steroid use among some
elite military branches. Now it's really common obviously in sports because people get a huge advantage from it. It's very common with actors. So steroids are all over the place performance enhancing drugs, and look their costs and benefits to them. So I just think it's good that people learn the truth about these things. But anyway, I like the Liver King. I like this guy Carnivore, MD too. You look at Carnivore, MD very similar in his approach to life into fitness
and health. He looks like a guy who lives at healthy life song, works out all the time. He does not look like a guy who takes stories because he doesn't take stories. You look at his physique, he go, yeah, that's that's what you look like. If you eat clean, workout a lot, and get a lot of sun, you look like Carnivore MD. You do not look like the liver King. It would look like he Man from the cartoon show. Back in the day. I ever thought about it being a real estate investor, but didn't have the
time to do it on your own. That's how I thought about real estate until I met my friends have Done for Your Real Estate. It's a phenomenal company. They found me an awesome property that rented it out for me right away, and now I get a check every month like clockwork. And that was the first time around. I've done this with them now for several houses, and
it's so straightforward. You learn so much too, and just being a real estate investor, I think it gets you into a part of the economy where you're dealing with tangible assets and you're dealing with something that, if you do it right, is going to be kicking off some free cash flow to you and helping you build financial security over the long run. And it's not hard to do. You just need to do it the right way. And
that's where done for your real estate comes in. My brothers are both both my brothers are done for your real estate investors. We're actually building out a portfolio, the three of us all through done for your real estate. We have five houses now, the three of us that we've bought through done for your real estate. So I highly recommend you check them out and learn about what they do. And they're a great company. They care about your results, they want to help you, and this is
what they eat, sleep and breathe. Real estate Done for you Buck dot com. Go to that website done for you Buck dot com to begin your real estate investment journey. Today, I'm gonna try to find a movie on with Carrie. I mean, we live together. We're this weekend gonna be hanging out, trying to think of a way to you know, late at night because I don't really do the party scene thing, which is not a surprise to you. I'm sure we're gonna try to watch a movie together. She
falls asleep really fast. It's cute. She falls asleep. She falls asleep on my shoulder. And then I'm just watching the movie alone. But you know she's we're snuggling up and we're trying to find a movie. I would love it if there was a new Indiana Jones movie. It's not gonna be out till next summer. But here is what the Indiana Jones movie is promising to be. So far play it. I don't believe in magical times in my life, seeing things things I can't explain, and I'm
comfortably it's not so much what you believe. It's so hard to believe in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. It's called. If they just try to do the classic great Indiana Jones stuff, it's gonna be phenomenal. If they try to make it woke, and you know, it's gonna be a mess. So let's just hope that they understand there's there's a winning formula they rule. I mean, Indiana Jones. The Kingdom of Crystal Skull was so widely reviled. I didn't even see it. Everyone I knew told me it
was so bad. I saw parts of it on HBO when it was running, but it was it was clearly trash. It would be so nice to have a great summer movie next remember when summer movies would come out and they were amazing, and they were really entertaining, and go see them with your family and it was just really fun to be in the theater and everyone's having a
great time. We've lost that in this country because of wokeness and the left wing loons and political correctness and all this other and the agenda of the entertainment industry. We can get it back, and I think Indiana Jones five maybe maybe might be moving on that direction. Have a great weekend, everybody. Thanks for having shields high
