Episode description

The Seattle Police have become woefully undermanned because cops have quit as a result of Democrats demonizing them. This has led to a situation where, as reported in the Seattle Times, they can’t even assign detectives to new rape cases in 2022 due to lack of manpower- which is utterly appalling and unacceptable. Political leadership in Seattle- left wing democrats- are to blame for this state of affairs, in that city and all around the country. Plus, Biden’s baby formula shortage gets worse, and he admits the economy isn’t getting better anytime soon.

Thursday, June, second edition of the program. We have a stunning story out of Seattle, the Seattle Times reporting on how that city is so understaffed in its police department after it lost about a quarter of them in the last couple

of years. Wonder why that they're unable to assign new investigators or rather investigators to new rape allegations in that city. Stunning appalling. The breakdown of law enforcements something we have to continue to follow here. This comes from bad political decisions from the left, from the BLM movement, the undermining of our cops. We will discuss that. Plus the baby formula crisis continues. When was the Biden administration informed of

this situation? When was Joe Biden himself told, we have that to discuss and they want you to do more with less in this country the Biden regime, including water. You know on California, they're facing a huge route, just a mess, total mess going on here. Will discuss all of this coming up here, but let me tell you about a little fashion tip. If you're wearing a suit or dress clothes every day, you gotta get a pair of Wolf and Shepherd dress shoes. These may be the

most comfortable dress shoes in the market for guys. In addition to me wearing them, they're also a shoe worn by athletes. the workday. Join the packet Wolf and Shepherd dot com. That's Wolf and Shepherd dot com. Shepherd's spelled s h E p h e r D Wolf and Shepherd dot com. All right, the story is stunning Out of Seattle's from the Seattle Times was linked up on foxnews dot com today as well. Here's a quote from at Seattle's police sexual assault and Child abuse unit, staff has been so depleted that it stopped assigning detectives new cases with adult victims.

According to an internal memo from intern police Chief Adrian Diaz from April of this year, the community expects our agency to respond to reports of sexual violence, Sergeant Pamela Saint John wrote, and at current staffing levels, that objective is unattainable. There are now forty eight adult assault cases sexual assault cases that are not being investigated, according to a detective we spoke the Seattle Times. How did this happen? You say? And this is being replicated, has been replicated

in cities all across the country. You have these massive increases in crime over the last two years. Well, what happened? The country was forced into a moral panic in twenty twenty in the aftermath of the George Floyd incident by a Democrat media that decided that we hadn't made the kind of progress as a society that maybe we had been led to believe unless you know, twenty years, fifty years,

you name it. No, we were still a deeply racist society, most notably that cops were racist and bad and violent and killing unarmed black men without consequence systematically doing this. All of this was lies. All this was damaging. All of this was deeply destructive. And now we see what that destruction actually means. It's not just destructive as something we say rhetorically. It is destructive because of the end results.

And some of those results are not just the crime numbers, but you see it in the number of police officers. Over the last two years, Seattle police have lost a fourth of their officers, and in twenty twenty two, the city wanted to hire forty new cops. They were able to bring in thirteen. Forty three resigned. So they're just

losing officers, losing officers. Why well, because in an era of smartphone technology and a leftist media that loves a moral panic, that loves particularly to tell stories about oppressive, racist police and indulge in some mass hysteria, white guilt narrative. Law enforcement knows that they will not have the proper support from the political authorities that oversee law enforcement in New York, in Los Angeles, in Seattle and Portland, in Chicago, you name it. So why do cops want to deal

with that? Well, they don't, obviously, and that's why many of them are leaving. They've also had tremendous attrition in the NYPD as a result of all this, and it's simply unsustainable for these cities. I mean, people are fleeing because it's not even just about the shootings and the murders. Of course, that's those are the incredibly serious crimes that frightened people, and the loss of life through criminal action

is the worst thing that's happening in these cities. But it's also the day to day quality of life crimes, the petty thefts, the larcities, the fact that you can't buy a toothbrush or chocolate bar in some neighborhood drug stores or national chains because they have to be under lock, literal lock and key, because cities don't allow for the prosecution of these thefts anymore. Because cities no longer seem able to police the criminal element in these societies. There

are people who are committing crimes. You have to stop them, you have to punish them, and in cases where they are a danger to the public or they are repeat offenders, you have to take them off the streets. That's it. This is actually not rocket science, This is not super complicated. But the Democrats won't do it. Why I won't the Democrats do it well because they ideologically think that the

system is oppressive, the system is racist. They look at disparity by race when it comes to arrest numbers and assume, well, there must be a system in place here that is racist. Meanwhile, the realities that the people who suffer the most from the rise in crime in these cities are disproportionately minorities, particularly black and Latino males, and they are the ones that are there people that Democrats constantly say they are they are trying to protect, they represent, and you know

all the rest of it. So the numbers here show us that there is a huge problem with law enforcement not being supported adequately. That's one thing, okay, And this is why you don't have the ability to investigate even a crime series as rape in Seattle in a timely and effective fashion. This is true in many other cities. And then you look at the push right now for gun control and how they want more and more gun laws, or hold on a second, what are we doing with

the gun laws that already are on the books. And what you find when you dig into this data is that whether it's New York or Philadelphia or name your city, there are a lot of people who are being let go despite being found with an illegal firearm. And when I say let go, I don't mean even a plea bargain.

I'm talking about just dropped charges. I'm talking about Yeah, we're just going to do a deferred prosecution entirely, or put them into a diversion program, or in the case of the city of Philadelphia, for example, there are the numbers show that over half of the people, over half of the people who were arrested in possession of a firearm who were illegal possessors, had had their cases dismissed.

What does that mean? I mean, so, now you've got people that have already committed crimes, who are carrying a gun illegally. It is illegal for them to have the gun in the first place. You see, So because they committed the crime, it's illegal for them to have the gun. They're committing a crime by having that gun, because they're a felon in possession, and yet they're not prosecuting a lot of those cases. Now, where is most of the

violence in society coming from criminals who have handguns? In cities? That's where the violence is actually occurring. It's not assault rifles used in mass shootings. Those are actually statistically as horrific as they are rare. But shootings in Chicago, shootings in Saint Louis, shootings in name a major city, they're happening by the dozens every weekend, and they involve handguns, and they usually involve individuals illegally possessing those handguns with

a previous criminal record. Well what are city district attorneys' offices doing in this situation, Well, they don't want to be too harsh on those who are caught with illegal guns and cities who are disproportionately African American young men, so they're not actually prosecuting them vigorously. That's what's happening. This is what the data tells you. In New York, this is what the data tells you in Philadelphia many other places, putting them a new diversion program, dropping the charges.

And then of course there's a lot of plea bargains. They plead do a much lesser charge. Well, if you want to stop if you want to stop gun violence, don't you have to actually take people who are violent, who are illegally carrying pistols with a previous criminal record and punish them. I mean, wouldn't that be a way of trying to stop gun violence? That would irrespective of a person, you know, white, black, Latino, Asian, U name, it doesn't matter. Would don't you have to strictly enforce

the laws on that on those issues. No, instead they talk to us about magazine limitations. Instead they talk to us about banning AAR fifteens. Air fifteens are used in less than two percent of shootings in the country fatal shooting in the country. Air fifteens are rarely used to kill people, rarely. Statistically, sometimes they're using these horrific mass shootings, but they aren't used in the day to day violence

we see on the streets. So why is so much of a focus on that, and why are we supposed to listen to this when they won't even speak honestly about what they're doing in cities, or they've just made it impossible for day to day crimes to be prosecuted because the evidentiary burden on prosecutors in a place like New York is so high that they don't even have the manpower to say, Hey, you've been arrested for ten You've been arrested ten times for stealing from a store,

for shoplifting, for larceny, grand larceny, petty larceny, whatever it may be. You're gonna do some real time now, right. Why is it that we don't know more about this? Because social justice means not enforcing crime, not enforcing laws against people who commit a lot of crimes because they're underprivileged, or because the demographic data on the arrest is upsetting to democrats. This is what we're being told now, folks.

This is the reality that is playing out. This is the official position of district attorney's offices like New York, like Philadelphia, like San Francisco. You know, we just have to enforce less of the law. That's what they're telling us on a regular basis. And then they wonder why we have so much lawlessness, and we wonder why cops are leaving because you know what they do. They point to one incident with one bad cop, which happens but is rare, and they actually, that's the problem of violence.

It's police violence, racist police violence. In particular. We said, oh, the real problem of violence is day to day in cities across the country where Democrats are in charge, and they won't wars the darned laws that we already have because they don't like the end outcome of enforcing those laws, so they want to you know, they don't want to lock you up if you're a felon in possession of a glock on the streets of Philadelphia, but they want to make you a criminal if you don't want to

hand over your air fifteen you've had for twenty years and you've never broken a law in your life. This is the mentality of the Libs. This is the mentality of the Democrats. Make no mistake about it, all right, Look, folks, another month comes to a close. We're likely here soon about more bad news in the cost of living and inflation.

Jake Tapper of CNN posing a good question here of the White House, and here is what he said, and here

is the non answer that was given. I guess I still just don't fully understand why you didn't tell the president until April. If the problem was reported to the FDA last fall, the FDA didn't check it out until I think December, and then they shut down the factory in February. The president the only one who can invoke the Defense Production Act to force companies to produce this incredibly direly needed infant formula. He's not told until April. Karine,

Jean Pierre, you'r presector here. He just said, this has been a whole of government approach that doesn't include the president. I want to be very clear that the president's role in this has been at the right in appropriate moments when we needed to do things like the Defense Production Act. He has been informed, he has directed the action that we have taken. But then why did they get so behind?

If he was informed and he has the power and he has used the Defense Production Act, then why do we have seventy percent of the country out of baby formula right now? Just wondering or seventy percent of baby formula is not on the shelves, wondering, Well, Biden's even a bitting now, Oh, there's no switch to hit here. You know, it's basically, folks, it's gonna gonna suck for a while because you know, I'm president and I'm kind

of dumb. The idea we're gonna be able to, you know, click a switch bring down the cost of gasoline is not likely in their term, nor is it with regard to food. Now with Biden as president now, of these Democrats in charge, that's for damn sure. Team, Thanks for rolling with me today, back tomorrow. Shield's high
