Episode description

The Biden economy is on the brink of full on recession, which is clear because their commie media flacks are talking about how a recession is “not inevitable” but yeah, it’s pretty likely. Plus Biden wants you to forget that 18 months ago, he was saying how much he hated oil, gas, and fracking of any kind. But don’t associate that with the super high price of gas right now! Meanwhile, the Mayor of New York is saying that drag queen story hour in schools and libraries for young children is a great idea and a blessing of diversity. Finally, Portland’s open air drug market from decriminalization has resulted in a 40% increase of drug overdose deaths, which is yet another massively failed lib policy.

You're listening to the Buck Sexton Show podcast, make sure you subscribe to the podcast on the iHeart Radio app or wherever you get your podcasts. Team. Welcome to the Freedom of Hut Friday, June seventeenth edition of the program. And we have much discussed today. The White House really trying hard to convince everybody recession is not inevitable. I mean, it's really likely, but it's not inevitable. Plus Eric Adams with a tweet on Drag Queen Story Hour for school children.

He's doubling down on all of this. And Portland resembles an open air drug market after legalizing hard drugs. That story another example of libs come up with an idea. It makes them feel good about themselves. The results of the idea are disastrous and people suffer, and the lives around say, wait a second, it's not our fault. No, no, it is in fact their fault for their dumb ideas.

And that is why I keep telling you these things, because we have to hold them accountable, or at least we get to walk around knowing we were right, they were wrong. Before we get into all of that. If you're a business has five or more employees, and managed to survive COVID. You're eligible to receive a payroll tax rebate of twenty six thousand dollars per employee. This isn't alone. There's no payback. It is a refund of taxes that you've already paid. How do you get your hands on it?

Go to get refunds dot Com. Their tax attorneys are specialists in this little known payroll tax refund program. They do all the work with no charge upfront and simply share a percentage of the cash they get for you. Getrefunds dot Com has help ten thousand companies receive over a billion dollars

in cash rebates. They can help you too. Just go to get Refunds dot Com, click on qualify me and answer a few questions. That's Get Refunds dot Com. Get Refunds dot Com, No risk h ward. Go check it out please today. So the Biden machinery is in full effect here. They're trying to tell you the recession is not inevitable. I think it is, though I disagree with them.

I think they're wrong. One of the reasons it's not inevitable is because families and businesses are starting off from a strong position right now because of the actions that the President took as soon as he got into office with the American Rescue Plan that created an insurance policy that is allowed the strength and the resiliency of the American economy to show its full force over the past

year as we've dealt with crisis after crisis. The President's seen eight point seven million jobs created since he took office, and a family household balance sheets remain strong. So all of this puts us in a good position to transition to the kind of stable, shared, steady growth that we need to see for the economy over the long term. You know, we're going to transition kind of like inflation was transitor. Right now. The economy's transition. Notori it's not

a word, but you know what I mean. Don't pay attention to what's happening now. There's a better future ahead. Just don't hold Democrats accountable for the dumbass political and economic decisions they've made in the last eighteen month. That's really the pitch. It's not very compelling the eight million jobs created. Really, You notice how they never explain how those eight million jobs were quote created. Couldn't have something

to do with when Biden takes office. There is a lockdown effective in many cities, many industries, many people, many businesses still in work from home status, employee cutbacks. And this is all because of a virus, a virus that Donald Trump did not create, although the Chinese did in a lab probably, but they won't tell us that for a long time because they lied to us about that

too in the beginning. But here we are, in this moment being told that Biden created eight million jobs, and no one actually thinks that that's a real reflection of what's going on with the economy. So why are they doing the school? Well, else are they going to say? I mean, let's I want to remind everybody that as the price of gas today, and I've spoken to people who here in New York City who are telling me that they're at basically one hundred dollars for a tank

of gas. These are commuters, So that's increasing their weekly cost substantially, right, that's increasing their weekly cost by what maybe one hundred two hundred bucks, maybe more. It depends on how far they commute. And so they're upset because they understand that this was all pushed by government policies. And yet here we are being told it's so great. But then the Democrats will say that they're not opposed to fossil fuels and that it's not their fault the

price of gas is high. They don't make it any less compelling for the fossil fuel industry to long term produce more right, they will tell you this. Meanwhile, a little trip down memory lane here about Joe Biden when he was running but he was trying to get lib lunatics to vote for him Democrats. Here's how that went. Play clip. Would there be any place for fossil fuels, including coal and fracking in a Biden administration. No, we would, We would work it out. We would make sure it's eliminated.

And no more subsidies for either one of those. No more subsidies for fossil filing industry, No more drilling on federal lands, no more drilling, including offshore, no ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period. What about I've argued against any more oil drilling or gas drilling on federal lands that we can and uh and and to stop that. We are we arguing get rid of fossil fuels. You're gonna bad fracking all a foss America right now right. I would love to Yeah, i'd loved

you too. I'd love to make sure we don't cause gas. I think, I know, I feel I know a lot more about foreign policy than I knew about about the oil industry. Brought barn A right, bann all oil and gas period. This is the president when he was running for president. That's not thirty years ago, that's eighteen months ago. That one line at least where he says I would ban all oil and gas period. There would be I'm not kidding that the economy would come crashing down and

there would be mass starvation. I mean actual starvation in America. If they truly banned all the oil and gas, all right, you would have you wouldn't be able to transport or refrigerate food, you wouldn't be able to make the food. You wouldn't be able to have the fertilizer. Yeah, it's just the whole system would come crashing down. That was

That's a truly lunatic borderline psychopathic thing to say. But if you want to get the Democrat based excited, you have to say crazy things like that, because they've convinced themselves they're so fundamentally lacking in purpose. This is the problem. They've replaced the purpose of traditional life. They're traditional man, traditional women, traditional family. They've they've replaced all of this with fealty to the state and pseudo religions of the moment.

So the government is effectively God and whatever they have to do, whatever they decide to do, that is trendy, that is fashionable in a mass collective movement, people will go along with. So listen to the government and go with the thing, whatever it is, whether it's COVID extremism or anything to do to support Ukraine, or you know whatever. Now it's trans trans indoctrination for children and drag Queen story Hour at schools all across America. Let's be clear,

we are not the ones who are exaggerating. We who have problems with us the drag Queen Story Hour situation. They keep pushing for this, and a perfect example, a perfect example of this is the Mayor of New York City, Eric Adams, tweeting out drag Drag storytellers and the libraries and schools that support them are advancing a love of diversity, personal expression, and literacy that is core to what our

city embraces. It's the mayor of the biggest city in the country, So you need to focus and focus in on and celebrate drag Story Hour. Four children. Look, adults want to go to Drag Story Hour. They go Drag Store Hour all day. They can drink as many mimosas as they want, you know, just don't drive afterwards. Fine, but six year olds, six year olds should not be should not be brought into this world where they're told that this is necessarily something to celebrate, because then it

very quickly turns into why are we celebrating this? What are we being told about gender? What is the purpose of having a person who is engaging and I'm kind of a gender bending display for five year olds who can be convinced that they may be a dinosaur one day.

Why would anyone want to do that? Well, the idea is get them while they're young, indoctrinate them while they are still there, while their brains are literally still forming right, while their sense of judgment of right and wrong is in the process of developing, so they have no good reason for making kids a target of all of this other than kids are very impressionable, obviously, and it makes the parents and the school systems all complicit in this too.

I mean, that was what I found, honestly as troubling as anything else when we saw the uh the Drag your Kids to Pride event in Dallas, was the parents who were celebrating. As an adult male in fishing at Stockings was gyrating his behind in front of small children who were putting dollar bills in a g string. That's appalling. Any normal person who looks at this would say, yeah,

that's appalling. But for those parents, now, they're all they're all complicit, right, they all did this, They took their kids there, so they're gonna most likely some of them maybe have woke it up and seeing the light, they're gonna say, oh, there's nothing wrong with it. It's just harmless fun. Why are you being so pigoted? Oh okay, but you see how that goes. This is also why, in a different way, why it's so important to the the pro abortion left that tax dollars do go to abortions.

The idea being You're paying for it. Whether you do it yourself or not, you're paying for it. That's very important to them, not not not just because of access or anything else. They want you to be complicit in what they're doing. So Mayor Eric Adams is not a smart fellow and not doing a good job as mayor, and he is getting into the transagenda issue because he figures that will keep the woke left on his side will come into the Portland situation. You're just a second look.

If you want to have shoes on that are as comfortable as sneakers, but that look like dress shoes, so you look snazzy. You look like a snappy dresser when you got these on, but your feet are gonna be really comfortable, you gotta go with Wolf and Shepherd. Wolf and Shepherd has a very straightforward vision. If you want to wear lace up shoes that feel like sneakers that you could just run around in, but look like you're a little more dressed up just a little bit, you're

gonna love Wolf and Shepherd shoes. I was wearing mine last night at our one year anniversary party, so it was Clay. We wear our Wolf and Shepherds all the time. They're absolutely amazing shoes game changer, more comfortable than any shoes that look like dress shoes than you've ever seen. So it is a dress shoe that feels like a sneaker.

It's very straightforward. Getchers. I have three pairs, okay literally three pairs at yourself repair can encourage you enough to go right now go to Wolf and Shepherd dot com. No promo code necessary, Wolf and Shepherd dot com. That's Wolf and Shepherd sh eph Ard dot com. I'm just on the Portland open air drug market and this goes in the list of other really bad ideas that Democrats have where they decide that they're going to just decriminalize

something and that will somehow make everything better. So Portland, which I visited once in my life in twenty and ten, I remember thinking this is a beautiful place, but the politics here a little wacky, and it is just deteriorated and gotten more and more crazy since then, Portlands decided to decriminalize hard drugs and does anyone want to guess what happened? Increase in fatal overdoses last year open air drug market operating in the downtown of Portland, and so

more people dying, more misery, more crime. This is what democrats do, unfortunately. Maybe they'll learn the lesson. Maybe we can help them learn the lesson. Have a great weekend everybody. Thanks for hanging shield time.
