You're listening to the Buck Sexton Show podcast, make sure you subscribe to the podcast on the iHeart Radio app or wherever you get your podcasts. Team. Welcome to the Freedom Hut. Tuesday, April twelfth. Addition of the program, We've got a lot to talk about today. Eight point five percent inflation CPI officially announced today and it's the worst it has been in forty years. And Democrats, of course, have nothing but excuses for why they are terrible at
running well, pretty much everything in government right now. Will discuss what this looks like for them. Plus a mass shooting ten people shot in a New York City subway station as I speak to you, the suspects still at large. Breakdown what we know about this attack right now and what's going on to try to catch the perpetrator bring him to justice. We'll discuss that also. COVID madness already
making a comeback. Philadelphia reinstituted mass mandates as city, numerous universities in places like Washington, DC bringing back mask mandates indoors. What are we learning about the forever pandemic people, We'll talk about it in just a moment. Have you ever been a real estate investor. If the answer to this is no, let me tell you something. It's a great way to build financial security for yourself over the long term with stable, smart real estate investing. Fantastic way to
prepare for retirement too. And if you think to yourself, well, I don't know how to do this, I've never been involved in at before. That's what Done for Your real estates for. I've worked with Done for Your real Estate. Now I've purchased multiple homes with Done for your real Estate, and all the homes are great so far in terms of the upside of the equity. I've got renters in place. They're covering the mortgage and giving me a little free cash flow every month as well. It's a great long term,
stable investment. Look at the stock market these days, folks invest in real things, tangible things like real estate that people are gonna want to live in. Go to Done for You Buck dot Com, Boo, explain the whole process to you. They'll take you through every step of it. Done for you Buck dot Com. Again, that's done for you Buck dot Com. So they're trying to convince you that inflation is not that bad because it's going to crush them even more in the midterm election than they're anticipating.
Here's what it sounds like. Eight point five percent the inflation rate over the past year. That is a big number. It is as expected, and it is the hottest inflation since nineteen eighty two. That's sort of a broken record there. And you know what it all is. It is gas, it is shelter, it is food. I want to say, though, this is until the end of March, and as we've been reporting, oil prices and gas prices have been coming down, so in a way, this consumer price number is looking
in the rear view mirror. There are some economists who are hoping this is the peak, this is the worst of it, and things begin to moderate into the summer. It's crazy to think, though, that the market might be okay with it, because it's exactly in line with what they were expect today. It's not worse than what they expected. Most economists don't expect the recession in the US. Listen to all the damage control here. I mean, you know it's not good, but like, oh, maybe this is the worst.
This is the worst. It's it's always darkest before the dawn. It's gonna get better soon. Don't worry, don't worry. Why are they all sounding like that, Well, because it's really bad. It's really bad. It's bad for their people who are in charge, the Democrats, bad for the Biden regime. And remember Joe Biden's plan for all this was to spend another five trillion dollars, another five trillion. We're thirty trillion debt, and we had gone through a period of really out
of control spending. And I'm gonna say this, and some people may not want to hear it, but I always tell you what I think is true. But I believe we're know to be true. And the lockdowns and the pay people to stay at home stuff was disastrous, disastrous, never should have been done, never should have been done. The trillions and trillions were spent under Trump in the last year, and then just to go completely crazy, the one point nine trillion that Biden spent on a partisan
basis in the beginning of twenty twenty one. And yes, Biden has made with their energy policy, with everything, they've made everything worse, no doubt about it. But let's be honest here, folks. We thought we could shut down tens of millions of jobs for months at a time, send people checks to stay home, and there wouldn't be a corresponding negative effect to the economy. Of course, of course that's going to come otherwise. Think about it this way.
Why not just pay everybody ten thousand dollars a month to stay home and nobody has to work anymore? Right, it doesn't work that way. We are aware of the fact that there are problems when you print money and there's nothing beneath it, nothing behind it, no productivity, no exchange of goods and services, just sending money to people. This was really an experimented socialism, some would say it fully an experimented communism going on, and the results are
really bad, really bad. I mean they're trying to hide it. Over at CNN. Here's a data cruncher named Harry Over at CNN who's saying, look, it's a mess, and voters know it's a mess. I think there's this whole idea. Oh, the White House is just losing the messaging war. You know, if only they knew how good the job situation was. But if you ask Americans, why do you think the economy is bad? It's inflation. The voters know exactly what's going on. They're not stupid. Eighty six percent say inflation,
only seventeen percent say unemployment. That they believe the economy is in bad shape. So Americans don't think the economy is in bad shape because of unemployment. They believe the economy is in bad shape because of inflation. And that is across the board, Democrats, Republicans, Independence, and you know, if you look back at Gallop polling over the years, you know, Gallup has been asking about the most important
problem in the country forever. Look at this. Seventeen percent of Americans said that inflation was the most important problem facing the US in March of twenty twenty two. That was the highest it's been since nineteen hundred and eighty five. People, see what's going on. This guy's right. The American people are recognized that the Democrats are so used to lying to you and getting away with it on a whole
range of things that their lies not working Now. They just assume, Oh, it's because they just, you know, they just don't know. It's so great. If we only told them how great it was for the million time, they'd say, oh, it's great. Doesn't work like that. Inflation is a number, It is a reality that they cannot hide from. People see it, they feel it, they know it. It is truth.
And Democrats, as you know, are always trying to evade accountability and hide from or hide the truth in whatever way they can because their ideas suck and they're bad at this. They're bad at the country, they're bad at running the economy. None of this is surprising Joe Biden. Joe Biden's idea of a business is having his drug addict son sell access to phone calls with them to
shady foreign businessman. That's Joe Biden's only real experience of business, of an economy, and voting for whatever the Democrat establishment tells him to at any point in time, whenever the polls, when the Democrat Party you're saying, that's all. This guy doesn't know anything. And now we're seeing what that means. Now we're seeing what the results of that are, and it's not good. It's not good. I actually sit around now wondering what is the Democrat plan for all of this?
What are the Democrats planning? Because right now it feels as though they are just heading into a buzz saw of electoral annihilation, and these people are obsessed with power they'll do anything to maintain it. And so then what exactly will they do? Because yeah, on an objective rational basis, Democrats are awful right now. I mean, there's nothing you
can point to it says the Biden administration's good. I mean, I'd take the mean tweets, the meanest tweets from Trump and smile and say, great, give us that and everything else that comes with Trump a great trade for us. And I think anybody who's being serious knows that that's the case. But instead, well, what do we have Democrats just presenting, presenting a narrative of events the American people that they just know is not true and it's not
gonna work. So there must be something else. I don't know if it's gonna be ballot stuffing or just mail in balloting or whatever. But I'm telling you, these Democrats, these commies, fight dirty. Don't get complacent. That's what I'm trying to tell you. Don't think that it's gonna be Oh yeah, they're gonna get They're gonna be slapped down and then they'll change and moderate. Ah. The Democrat left
is insane. These people are nuts. They think men can become women, They think that money grows on trees through the FED, and all we have to do is just print as much money as we want and we'll all be rich. These people don't understand basic reality. They just don't get it. They think that if we're nice to violent criminals, they'll stop being violent criminals. They don't get it. So, no, it's not gonna They're not gonna just say, oh, yeah, you know what we were wrong about everything. You guys
are right, you can you can take charge now. So I don't know how they're gonna try to pull it off, but I know they will. They will try to come up with a way that prevents them from losing. So I'll talk to you in a moment here about the situation in New York this mass shooting. Ten people shot on the subway system, suspects still at large as I
speak to you. This reminds me of some of the casework I did at the Intelligence Division of the NYPD, the Naji Belizazi case, who is the backpack bomber in the New York City subway never got to the deployment of that plan, to the action component of that plan, but was trying to al Qaida trained operative by the way, and also Faizel Shazad, who was the Times Square bomber.
I was called in for that case. I remember that I was on a Saturday and I was out with friends, and all of a sudden, I'm told get your you know, get your butt into the office. We got you know, this is like a Code red situation, and we're trying to track that guy down. We just got him by the way at the airport on the plane on his way to Pakistan. So he almost the Time Square bomber almost got away, believe it or not, which is remarkable
and terrifying. We'll get into the shooter in New York City here where it stands, and what I'm seeing in just a moment. Look, I'm wearing one right now. Tommy John gear is amazing. All right, You start every day with Tommy John. You're just going to be more comfortable. Everything is going to feel better. Comfort, but also looking good is essential, right, You want to look good, You want to be comfortable. Tommy John has you covered. And
a great way to start is with the underwear. Because if your underwear doesn't feel right, you know, gosh, so many of those cotton boxers that guys will wear in particular, they'll start to run up besides of your legs, they get a little bit damn from the sweat. The whole thing. Oh, it's horrible, right, Tommy John underwear doesn't ride up on you,
and it keeps you cool. It has a moisture wicking mesh fabric that you're gonna absolutely love and feels soft to your skin, but also lets see you stay cool and very breathable. And then the hoodies. I mean, I wear the Tommy John T shirts and hoodies pretty much every day now. It's my favorite stuff that I own. That's why Tommy John doesn't just have customers, they have
fanatics like me. With over seventeen million parasol men across America love their Tommy John underwear, loungewear, T shirts, hoodies, you name it. Get twenty percent off your first order right now at Tommy john dot com slash buck. Go to Tommy John dot com slash buck for twenty percent off Tommy John dot com slash buck twenty percent off See site for details. So here we are on the
situation in New York. All we really know is that an individual, a black male about five foot five, heavy set, wearing a gas mask went on the train in New York City. A glock has been recovered from the scene. He shot ten people and more were injured because he deployed what seemed to be gas grenades. You know, he used smoke grenades, I should say smoke grenades to try to create additional chaos. He also had has been there
were fireworks found at the scene too. So this guy is either right now, it's either a terrorist attack of some kind. We don't know what the ideology behind it is, but it's either a terrorist attack of some kind or just a complete lunatic something similar to the Aurora movie theater shooter. I mean, a truly deranged, evil lunatic. And by the way, terrorist and Duraniva lunatic can austin. There can be crossover between those things. You can be a little bit of one a little bit of the other.
And or we could also have a situation here of a of a hate crime. I think as well, that's also a possibility depending on who he was targeting on that subway, which which is really also a terror attack, right, I mean, if it's a terrorist attack driven by racial hatred, still a terror attack, still a hate crime. So there's crossover between these things. What it is not is a gang shooting or something that you unfortunately see far too often in major urban centers all across the country every day.
This was not some crime scene of a you know, a carjacking gone wrong or armed robbery gone wrong or something like that. No, this was intentional, attempted mass slaughter. I mean, fortunately, as as I speak to you, and there'll be more updates and a lot of you know, listen to this show later on in the day. No one has yet died from their wounds from this, although there's some who were in critical critical condition of the hospital.
He shot ten people, didn't kill anybody. I think a part of that may be that they recovered the glock and it was jammed, And if this guy didn't have training about what to do with a jam in them in the receiver, a jam in the glock mechanism, then that may have been what Because he had additional magazines that were ready to go at the scene recovered as well, so his gun may have jammed that he may have fled before he could he could shoot even and maybe
in this case he would have killed even many more people. People will ask me because of my background and terrorism analysis and working these kinds of cases. What do I think this is? And I told you what the possibilities are beyond that, it's just I just don't know. I can't know right now. I will know at some point, we'll have a we'll have a good idea. And so this is where you'll see. I think, unfortunately, the left
will do some of what they always do. Because the individual here is a black male suspect, and because it's not something they can tie into the narrative of, you know, white nationalist terrorism or something like that, they're likely to move past this story very rapidly. And I will remind everybody that in the Waukesha Christmas Parade mass murder by vehicle, the murderer there was a black man behind the wheel of that car. He just recently pleaded not guilty to
something like over seventy federal counts, including multiple homicides. They told us in the beginning, don't speculate on the motive. You know what they're saying. Now, we may never know the motive. Oh so that's what they do. It's when everyone's focused in on the attack, don't speculate on the motive.
And then after enough time passes, it's well, yeah, I guess we just will never know the motive because there's no political point for the left to score by having a national conversation, let's say, something that they would certainly want to have if the perpetrator of the attack and Walker Show or the attack in New York City were different in terms of his backgrounds. Point here being, we
just we have to wait and get more information. But I will not allow them to do what they have done before, where they just pretend that we can never know the real motive and we can never know what really happened, because they'll speculate to all kinds of motive when it suits their purposes very early on as well. All right, now, just moving on to COVID here for a minute. They've reinstituted masks, and I want everyone in Philadelphia, I should say, and they still have them obviously on planes.
They're probably about to extend the federal mask mandate. I just want to mind everybody that the lockdowns that are still going on in Shanghai, but that we did do some form of in New York were absolutely horrific. Doctor Marty. Marty McCarry pointed, out. I think this is important that what China is doing is cruel and ineffective. I feel at China, they're reporting twenty six thousand cases, they probably have thousands per day. They reported one severe illness, Well,
we know from the Wall Street Journal that's inconsistent. There have been outbreaks in nursing homes there. They've done a significant scientific miscalculation. They're trying to use COVID zero against a highly more contagious variant than the Wuhan string BA two cannot be squashed through lockdowns. They failed to use the time they bought to vaccinate their population adequately, and
they have a less effective vaccine. So they're looking at Hong Kong realizing that's going to happen in their country soon, and I believe it will. It is seated all over China, and their strategies are not just cruel, they're not going to be effective. Cruel and ineffective. True of the Shanghai lockdowns. I'm gonna say this, true of COVID mitigation policies pushed by Fauci, Wilenski and many others in this country. True too,
cruel and ineffective, vicious and stupid. That is the way we should think of the COVID response from the experts, because that is the truth and economically disastrous which we are also seeing. Do not forget that it's not that they made us make sacrifices that had a big upside to them. They made us do things that did not help and hurt a lot, a lot. All right, we'll have more tomorrow on all this friends, Thanks for rolling with me here on the Bucks Extent Show. I will
talk to you tomorrow. She'll tie
