Elvis Durrand presents off air Show Scary Jones and Great Tea Episode. It's the off air show. I'm Scary Jones. Yeah, you are oh here now and it's been a couple of minutes. I don't know. It's been a long weekend. I know I was out in the Hampton's had a good time. Yeah, he did. I saw all the social media stuff that you're posting. Man, let's say you guys had a great time living up at somebody else's house. I love it mustn't be nice. I gotta tell you, Greg t I, I really wish you were there. Man.
You're my boy. We've been boys for so many years. Dude. I would have loved to have hung with you, man, but unfortunately I had a work I had things to do. I was out in Connecticut. Hey, big shout out to Henry Davidson, our off air show elder Jacklo my friend, dude, he came out and showed up at the event. I was at this place called road Ready Used Cars in and Sonia five twenty Main Street. Check it out. It is. You know what the owner of the place did very cool.
So the owner of the place, he's been in um He's been in car sales for umpteen amount of years, and he started as a kid, worked as all the way and worked it, worked his way all the way up, and he realized that people like, for instance, scary when I say to you a used car lot, like you have a vision, I'm a used car lot, A guy in a really bad seersucker sports jacket trying to sell me a galop? And what does the used car lot look like to you? Yeah, get paid the picture this
car a lot is. They usually have a wacky waving inflatable arm, flailing tube man there or something, a couple of signed flippers right the flipping signs you know, I get a deal here. And then a guy comes out and that searsucker jacket. He goes, oh, I'm gonna make you an offer you can't refuse, and he's he coming out of where, out of a building, kind of a house. I'm a hut, a junkie little area in the back.
And then you know that. Then he sells you the car, and then you drive up the lot and then you know, like ten blocks later, you already have a flat tire and the thing is smoking from the hood. That's exactly correct. That's what I think of when right. So what this guy did was because this guy, now, um, you know, he's done his research, he knows the business. So what which I didn't know about? If you buy a certified
pre owned car, right right? Did you know that by law, it can only be a certified pre owned car if it's beneath a certain amount of mileage. So what happens is a lot of these high end cars like BMW and Mercedes and Jaguar and land Rover and blah blah blah. They would love to get rid of these cars and classify them as certified pre owned, but they can't because let's say a consumer takes it over the over the over the mileage, even if it's by one my so right,
so this guy he knows this. So what he did was in his brain he envisioned a new form of a used car lot. So he built the very first one. Now it's called you know, road ready, which is not a sponsor not paying for his road ready the car they could be, they could be. And he built a modern day beautiful building socility that's comfortable to walk into,
that you don't feel ashamed. I'm going to buy a car in this What he does is he knocks on the door to these BMW dealers and these Mercedes and all Zion and he takes these cars off their hands because these guys are like, well, we can't sell them now as certified pre owned. What do we do? And everybody wants everybody's conditioned now to buy certified pre owned. The consumer is like, oh, I gotta buy a certified pre owned, but they don't really, so when it just
says used, they don't want to buy. The word used has negative. So he says, frigg that I'll take those cars that are not quote unquote certified pre owned and I'm gonna sell him at my lot. So he's got Harley Davidson's, he's got bm double Yeah, hammers, the whole thing. Yeah. And people are like, you gotta there's something lined up to get into this used car lot. Well, you don't call it that your right, right, right? So it is
it is tech really a used car lot. But when you see it, you think you're going to a brand new card deal. So he's really doing well. Antnia, Connecticut shout out to you. So it was like it was a ribbon cutting. It was his first one and the guy was super excited to know your pictures on social media. It was. It was a lot of fun. And um, I was working with one of the other radio stations one on one, so I was out there with those
guys and they had a good staff. Good guys. While you were doing that, Yeah, I was in I was in the Hampton's. I went into Southampton and it was me and our friend Nate and Bethany. I had a bunch of a great time. My buddy Mike Matt came from. It was just so cool hanging out for a couple of days in the house that basically the people at patio dot com paid for the sponsor sponsor sponsor, but they actually this place was gorgeous. We went out, we had a great time. South Hampton Social Club. I think
you'd like that place. You think I would like the South Hampton Soldier. Let me tell you something. They have a backyard. They have a backyard, yeah yeah, and then serve some beers and just hanging out. Yes, it's just a hangout place. It's not hay To, no velt ropes, no Velvet Road. I don't know, man, I think you're really trying to get Actually, actually I almost went to a m Southampton, but I almost went over there. My buddy Richie owns that place and we I didn't get
over there, though. That place I don't think you'd like so much because you're not that kind of guy. I love it because that's bottles and models and I'm not doing that. I'm not doing bottles and models and popping bottles. But I didn't. I didn't have that kind of weekend. You would have enjoyed it. The weather was okay, it didn't rain one drop on Saturday. Really, yeah, you guys got rained in this area. Nothing oh my Saturday, not
only the sun even came out. You know. I took okay, I took what's called you know, this is what's called. I took a fairy a ferry from Connecticut over to Long Island, and that was car on it right Bridgeport, Bridgeport, Bridgeport, Connecticut. Took the ferry, which I've never been on in my whole life. I never knew existed. So to save some time, I'm getting out the Long Island. Took the ferry and it poured like a beast. The rain came down. It was you went to Port Jeff though. That's fairly West
Point disaster. Hey, listen, I gotta tell you, by the way, we're having our guy come in next. Remember, sure, Ivan, he's a Long Island episode. He's he's got he's also he's he's the guy with the castle in the Hamptons. But he's also he's also the piece man. You guy had that car downstairs. It was that like psychedelic, all kinds of crazy. It was the coolest car and man, I wish I could, Yeah, it was really cool. We're gonna have he's gonna come up here in a couple
of minute. Peace and love through the area. Yes, And actually, you know, he totally you know, he reminds me of my dad in the in the in the Woodstock days. How does he remind you of your dad? Because I never walked around with Elvis pres Have you seen my well Ivan does, But have you seen my dad with the pictures of that mustache? And he came right used to my father back in the day. He's don smoke a little bit of the weedy, you know, does nothing
wrong with the kids are out of the us. You know, I think one day, when I'm fully retired, I'm just gonna get high every day, every day every day time they legalize it. But anyway, I even will be here in a couple of minutes. He's got a new song out and of course the proceeds go to charity. If you want to follow along, check out his website. Oh is that him on the phone. They need to get up from security, Sir Ivan, doctor. I don't think anybody's
gonna let him right up. He has to be escorted up. Yeah, s I R I V A N dot com. So I want you to Okay, that was my phone. I don't even know who's calling. It might be the front security desk. They need a parking an oversized parking space for a stretch limousine. Anyway, Uh. In the meantime, I want you guys to hear his song that we played last year. Um. This is Imagine from Seventh Heaven, The
Seventh Heaven. It's got security because you know why, stared at him in the lobby, going dude, who is this dude walking around looking like Elvis Press? So good? This is Seventh Heaven. This is the remix with Sir Ivan doing Imagine. I'm gonna answer my phone. Yeah, And this is the off their show, The back of the Ever imagine as no heaven. It's easy you try no hell love us A love us always skies, imagine all live fall to imagine a pace. Do you fool you say
I'm a dreamer and I'm not the only one. I hope some day you'll join us and the world will be as well. M imaginates no countries. It is not to do nothing, need to kill or time for in the real gi to imagine chance all word for you. You're missing. I want dreamer. I'm not the only one. I hope some day, Hey, you're join us in the world. We live us one one the Seventh Heaven remix of Imagine Sir Ivan. It's on iTunes, by the way, check it out, pick it up. It's all for a good cause.
Um that's the off air show. I'm scary and Greg t over there and he's still over here. Now you're ready to bring this guy in? Do we need do we do you have some fanfare? I think we need some man some music. Hold on, I want I'm gonna
pull up some royal fan fair. I gotta tell you, I'm I'm just a little bit shocked because I was expecting him to be all gussied up like Elvis Presley again, but this time he kind of came in like dressed down, you know, so he's we just saw I just saw him in the in the other studio and he's waiting to come in, and I, like I said, I was bracing myself for him to be like, you know, all crazy surviving down right, But he's a little calm lady. Come on in here, guys, come on in, man, please
give it up for Ivan. Yeah, studio there he is. God. This is like I like this tradition. We had you up last year. We haven't had very many guests that have been repeating guests on the off air show. Yeah, only surviving now and Stacy from from what's that show? That's Van there you go, So you know why. This is pretty good company he's in. This is great, This is awesome. Welcome sir, Ivan. How you been man? How's your summer been going? Amazing? Yeah? What what have you
been up to? Man? Cuffing lerg's everywhere? Ye, cuffs everywhere? What's been going on? Getting a nice sun? So? So Ivan um I was first introduced to Ivan um Um. You basically can I can't even say you have a cat. You know, we did this. We gotta we gotta reintroduce this, Sir, Ivan has a castle in the Hampton's a legitimate cast. But it's a real cast, no lie, right completely. Some people use the word castle to describe just like a
big man. You know, this is a real cast. It looks like a cast, drawbridge and all inside and out, and a mote craziness with alligators in there. Alligators. I don't know if you have validates. He doesn't. I have dragons watching what I'm saying, right, and and and Game of Thrones he has sometimes he throws these awesome afternoon parties with a bunch of people that all come over and and holerg's everywhere. And I gotta say, I gotta say, Ivan,
I I really do appreciate your generosity. You've given so much to the community. I'm including awesome party days and party nights in the Hampton's getting hanging out of the cast party right. Well, it's only right to give back, exactly, it really is. Um, So, so explain a little bit about your music. First of all, you have a music career, You have a music backing right. Um. For those who don't know, but into the game rather late at the age at the age of so so. Uh, I had
a lot of catching up to do. Yeah, that's why I went and extreme with the costume. I went extreme with the cause. Yeah. And uh I decided instead of just singing to entertain or just singing for a living, I would sing to save lives. And that's important. Um. What what charities and what type of work? What is organizations have touched you over the years? I created since uh, since I look like a superhero wearing a cape with a big rhindstone piece on the rack, and people started
calling me Pieceman. Uh. The foundation is called the Piece Man Foundation, and its main mission is to help anyone and everyone that's suffering from PTSD right or any form of traumatic violence that affects the psyche. Right. I understand that you have a couple of quite a few organizations that you weren't with, right. Yeah. I have of contributed a certain I in the foundation have contributed two wounded warriors, as have Yeah. We have done that here as well.
And uh I've also contributed uh in the foundation and contributed to the Trevor Project. It's a hotline for LGBT UH bullied kids that are contemplating suicide and uh and dozens of other organizations. So so you you are a philanthropist, you are somebody who gives back. Um, so you have this love for music and a lot of a lot of throwback music right from the sixties and seventies. Why
that kind of music. Well, in the sixties, that's when civil rights, women's rights, gay rights were all championed and started, and we're starting to bloom. So uh, these these issues are just as relevant today. Absolutely, if not. I mean it all has gone it's gone cyclical. I mean it's come back. It never I mean it never did die. Um so but now more never is Uh, it's important, it's important. He can we touch based on what sur Iving did before he started doing all this, like what
what what is your background? So for for some of the off air heads that don't know, they're just tuning in right now. So, sir Ivan, what did you do before you were sir Ivan? Well, I was Ivan Willseck, the son of Siggy Willseck, right, who is a legendary businessman who who survived the Holocaust, came to America with nothing, created a fortune, and became a big philanthropist on his own.
So I had a good footsteps to follow in. But you do it while having fun too while and and and that's that's important because you know a lot of people they they see organizations and they get involved and everything is you know, it's it's kind of like, oh, it's a down or it's sad and you know whatever. But you make giving back fun and you put in my I mean, that's how I view you. At least that's my That's that's exactly correct. Even my charity party
are different than all other charity parties. I either solicit funds for the Peaceman Foundation before the party or after the party, but not during. So instead of a long list of instead of speakers that talk on and on and on uh and bore the crowd, and you lose the audience, lose you lose the party. We've been to those. And when you shove too many speakers and too many honorees and too many nominees and too many awards given out, they're tuned out, and too many videos about about the
charity force and what's going on. Yeah, they're tuned out. You've lost a message. So it's it's I think it's better to hit him with one liners and you have it's higher impact, and you could say more and fewer you say just as much power and fewer words. That's going on and on and on. That's true. And more people start you notice that the giving goes way up, the donations. Yeah, so I do it. I do it at a very dramatic fashion, melodramatic fashion than exaggerated fashion.
You know, it's campy, it's fun. Uh uh, but it's all for a good cause. Do you have any events that are coming up that you might be at where people can meet you or see you at people want to know about you. Well, next Saturday, I'll be a polo is the opening of Polo out in the Hamptons, Okay, which is always fun. Polo is a game playing on horses. Yeah, it is it. I didn't know that. Now do you play polo? I know? Is the cologne and Ralph Lauren with the shirt? That's it. That's all you have to know.
Do you play with a helmet and a stick and he whips to stick around, hits this little ball and tries to get it, tries to get in the goal. Now do you play polo? No? I do not know. Where is the big polo event in the Hampton's the way. Where about where abouts is this? I think it's in Bridge, Hamptons. Okay, it's an annual thing. Huh. It's less than ten minutes
from the castle. So you'll be out there and and I guess you'll be out there promoting what you do, sign some autographs, stuff like that, shake some hands, kiss some babies. That you're an off fair Head and you're hearing this and you're a Campton and you happen to be there. I don't know if any of fair Heads played polo or even know about Paul Well. I don't even know about Polo. I'm just kind of I thought polo.
I think of Marco Polo. I think I think of people swimming in the water with their eyes closed, going mark. That's how I play polo. So so at this Polo event, it's a you know, it's an actual charitable event, right, I believe. So this is the first year they ever sold tickets for it. Usually some pr firms in charge of the guest list, who's who, an interesting group of people, but this year they actually charged tickets. Got it okay, cool, So you'll be it's part of it's gonna go to charity.
Now you're also with your music that you've been released, because because obviously you're you know, you're a musician. You say you got into the game a little late. But um, and you have a couple of songs we already heard imagine uh, and we're about to play your new one this uh coming up that that features Debbie Gibson. How did you get how did you connect with Debbie Gibson? First of all, uh, well, good, I met her. I
met her on the set of Celebrity Apprentice. Oh really, what were you doing at the set on the set of Celebrity and Prime made it? I made a deal with Debbie Gibson. Yeah, wait a second half, Well what were you doing on the set? First of all, you just hung out there? You were there. Firm said go down there and enjoined the cast. So I said, okay, I'm gonna go down there because they had a client I forgot it was this was this with Trump or at or with U S Fortunation. But he wasn't on site.
It was in a location. There were two teams of women that had to raise money for charity. Yes, I walk in because my PR firm had to say the same PR firm for one of the women that was on the show, a famous model that helps UH indigenous UH natives in the in the jungle survived by making colored pocketbooks. Is right on Jenniel I supported her in various charitable endeavors for her charity. I forget, I'd go down and give her a check, and I'd be on
the show and share on the fund. And as I'm giving her the check, just on a whim Uh, Debbie Gibson was performing to try and raise money and pull people by the way come in. Yeah, and I said, I said, I just decided to scream out. If Debbie Gibson sings on my next record, I'll double I'll double the amount of my donation. How much you don I was ready to donate three thousand when she came running over. It was like, let's make a deal and we settled
it at five grand. You made a five thousand dollar donation. Yeah. So it helped her on the show, It helped It helped the woman's charity in South America and UH and it formed a relationship where I called her up and said time to sing on this and she's from Long Island. Yeah, we need more more people like surving. This. By the way, this is Debbie Gibson. She must have been a press that I saying with Taylor Dane on my record. Before that, you did get Oh you did sing with Taylor Danger. Yeah,
I remember Debbie Gibson. Taylor Day. It's a hottie too though. Yeah, I look, look look at night. She did a number and kiss all the bullies goodbye. I love this. This is awesome only in my dream. I reely I'm back in the eighties again. I feel yeah. Remember, oh, by the way, I used to have the biggest crush on Debbie Gibson. Dude, who did it? Dude? Craigs phone did Debbie Gibson? Non stop? Out of the balloon? Remember this
song from Debbie Gibson. I'm just trying to reassociate the listeners with gout to play or Lost in your Eyes. This was her ballad. This was a smash. It's like a prom song. You wanted to dance with your date to this? I slow danced to my date. Yea with my date. This is such a what a beautiful song? And wait, how can we forget the other foolish beat? This was another ballad. She had a couple of hits right, she really did, and you had already closes all the yes,
she was right. She has a heart of gold. She really does. Unbelievable person and Debby that's great. So so you went into the studio with Debbie. It was done separately because she was in l A. I'm in New York. Good pipe video flew out there, right, and then what song did you guys do? Did the video? But the one man I Am peace Man with Debbie gibsons at you sound like the guy in the in the song h on peace Man. So website, where can you go
surriving to hear all of your music? For one? And you just type in I um, Sir Ivan's literally dozens and dozens of He's got a lot of songs on iTunes. S I are I V A N. Yeah, and all my videos are on YouTube. Got just doing search for sur iving now, sir, I've sir Ivan dot com. That's s I R I V A N dot com. Yeah, that's where you that's where you go, and we are gonna play um, We're gonna play that song right now
for everybody. Play that music. Scary Queen. In the volume which bore forward, he started nording, lording, everybody love somebody, lordyabody. I don't want to hurt anybody, luddy. I can see the rainbow. I see the rainbows. It never anybody the mad. So if everybody get any finds the rainbow. I see the rainbow. Yeah it's about nothing life. I gets about humping each other. So makes some now tonight. Oh yeah, it's abarty tonight. It's about tumping each other. So makes somebody.
He doesn't be good, he just needs a good here be more besper are your right? So you don't sound just like bring turney butt into song. Things right to the sound to get that sound, to bring kind of super sex and that lasting all just like a rocket is so alli injury dace some comments from above. I see the rainbow. I see the rainbow. Sits another ringing water nolity. So not everybody makes t listens a rainbow. I see the rainbow. Oh yeah, it's about being itself,
about hoping each other. So make some tomp and night. He's a floating so don't think each other I make Sometimes it doesn't be good. He just a good. You are you bess? Ring catching the sound once again, that's sir Ivan Debbie Gibson's great hearing her again. That's um. I am peace man nice. I like that guy. He's quite the character. I like him, Yeah, he really is. He's got a heart of gold. Really. You know what we can do. We can replace the ball freak who's
never gonna be back with us with sur iving. It'll be like scary Greg. And I gotta tell you, man, it sounds that would be a crazy off air show there, and then you know what, then ball freaking be kicking himself because they'll really want to come back then. So now I noticed something about you, man, Yes, I gotta tell you notice. You know, I'm getting a little worried about you. Why what I do? You're tired? I am exhaust you look so you look at your dragon, your wagon.
You are like and I know it's not disinterer. I know it's more of overworked. What's going on in your life. We're preparing, you know, the Elvis Durrant Show goes on a nice long vacation for the summer, and we've got to prepare and there's a lot of work to be done behind the scenes and people need to understand that too, and we're issuing. It's like, we're trying to do a podcast, but yet we have We're being pulled in eleven different directions. It was so hard to even I mean, you know,
sometimes it's a studio space issue. Other times it's hey, we need you to record all these commercials and these things, or we need to go to this meeting. So and Gregg t is to sit there the whole time like a jigsaw puzzle and try and figure out what programming to schedule for the Elvis Durrand Morning Show for two whole weeks. And I've had enough already. I'm I'm I've absolutely had enough, burnt out and done, and I'm angry
and i am so frustrated. Well to the af fairheads, can we can we at least I'm hitting the I'm hitting the vape now. I'm starting a vape because I'm flipping out. That's not good. Seriously, I haven't vaped in a while. Man, I'm sitting here. E been like crazy because I'm so like losing it. I'm absolutely we were supposed to do the the catching up with your ex bit. Oh my god, that's right. We have to do that. You know what, I don't have about one of my exes.
So she recently got divorced, so now my ex is totally single again, so she But anyway, are we gonna do this bit or what we're gonna wait for after summer vacation is over. Let's wait till that, and that's fine. Can we at least squeeze out another podcast? I'm gonna squeeze out a tissue, squeeze out. Can we do one more this week? You gotta promise me one more for the offair heads here, I gotta. I don't I how much gasses left in your tack. I'm telling you, man,
I really don't know. It all depends how much work I get done tomorrow. Everybody tweet us hashtag one more episode. That's hashtag one more episode and explain why you need one more episode of All fair Show this week before we go away for two weeks. Yes, but doesn't but you know what the off fair heads should also tell us. I mean, it doesn't feel the same without ball Freak here. You know, I understand the ball for he's got to do other jobs and do other things, but he left
us hign and drying. He's gone have some giving yourself some credit. We've got a lot of great stuff going, well, that's what we want to go from the offair hands. Maybe the fair hands want to hear just in the two of us, you know, maybe that could persuade us to, you know, to stay on and do some more. You know, we were gonna show, we were gonna blow it up, and we were gonna start off of the bathroom, whole
new loco and a whole new jingle and everything. But at the same time, I kind of like the variety angle to where you just don't know what the offair show is from day to day. I'm clueless to what it is. I like, but I like that. I like coming in here like the other day. We just had a podcast just the other day where I came in here with I wouldn't invited any of them in here. There are family. I wouldn't have invited them. Let them go do their own damn thing. Come please, I wouldn't
have invited them, not for two seconds. I don't care. Say whatever, whatever, Cuff you cuff all of them, Cuff everybody. I don't care. Alright, alright, we gotta listen. We gotta do one more podcast this week. You gotta maybe maybe noise are gonna be sitting in here talking to myself. Well, you know, that could be interesting. He talked to walls. That could be they're gonna actively the new one, the new podcast talking to Wall. Scary talks to walls, talks
to walls. That would be. That would be the most uninteresting, boring podcast ever. You gotta come up with something. You gotta come up with some got of content. That's the could be the new podcast. Scary talks the wall. Well, we have to do catching up with your X. When are we gonna do that? Maybe when we get back. Maybe when we get back, we're gonna get out of here for today. Yeah, I had enough. I gotta go back to my desk to start working again. I swear
I might be here seriously about six o'clock tonight. Are you serious? I've had enough of this man. I don't get paid enough. I don't send Greg t your drugs ladies and gentlemen, ye please, because he's I'm Gore. I need you. Sierra Gore. Does she do drugs? Hook? Just called around hill hook me. I think she wants that out there too late, say Jacklobe, Jack Lobe s wats mean that? Just won't believe you just slatch men just watch me. I can't say it's just watch me. No,
