Australia is considered the allergy capital of the world. Allergic disease currently affects more than four million Australians and that number is expected to rise.
By 2050, the number of people affected by allergic diseases in Australia is predicted to increase by 70 per cent to 7.7 million.
In this episode of The Briefing, Antoinette Lattouf speaks with Professor Kirsten Perrett, Director of the National Allergy Centre to find out why.
