Speaker 1

Good morning Usa yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo. Good morning Angelo. Ye good Money's lane. The guy Peace to the planet is Thursday. Yes, it's Thursday. One more day. Tell someone vacation. Damn it. That's right, And let me shout out. I want to shout out to everybody at stock X. Now I was in the trait. If you don't know what stock x is, it's a billion dollar company.

It's a billion dollar company just reached a billion dollars yesterday. It was created by Dan Gilbert and his partners. Now the dupe thing about stock x is people used to buy sneakers off eBay all the time. They used to get got used to buy fake sneaks or fake watches or fake bag. So they created this site in this app where you can actually find out if the stuff

is real or not. So if you want to buy it through stock x, they check it to make sure that the watch is real, or your sneakers are real, or a bag is real or the cloth is real. So yesterday I got a chance to toward the facility and experience the facility. Shout to all the stock X members they work as they listened every morning to shout to you guys. But I just thought it was dope because it's a it's a brilliant, easy plan. They just

created something that people needed. You know, people were getting got buying stuff on EBAs, and they said, well, let's create something where people can actually go through and find out if the sneaker is a real or whatever. It's real, and it's a billion dollar company, and it's something that was simply to think of, but they went through with it. So shout to everybody at stock that. Shout to Damien, Shout to Jazmine. What's the guy's name that took us,

that took me on the toy you? I can't remember the brother's name. I don't know. I wasn't with you he took He said, well listen, I will say I'm like you were just there yesterday. I forgot the brother's name. But I will say this, did did they make you try to authenticate which was fake and which was real? I did it. They said it took you a long time.

It only took me ten seconds. I smelled it. I could smell the sneaker because you can smell what a or the natural real sneaker, and you can smell the fake rubber and the glue of of a fake sneaker. I just looked at it and I was like, I could look at the stitching until now, why why should the regular every day listener that's riding right now care it's a billion dollar company because the regular everyday person buys stuff on stock x is a lot of people want to buy sneakers and why why is it a

billion dollar company? End up people end up buying fake sneakers or fake bags. Help it helps the regular everyday person avoid you got buying. So you might go on eBay and say, let me get these sneakers and they turn out to be faking. There's nothing you could do

about it. Okay, So now for people that also people try to flip sneakers, so they buy what they think are real sneakers, thinking that they're gonna flip this and wait online and you know, get some sneakers from somewhere and then they try to sell them and find out that yeah, they authenticate them, its bags, it sneakers telling them it's a billion dollar company. Is cool, but that's not gonna make the regular every day person care. But it's a really big company, that's why. Because everyone is

it just dope? Why I didn't hear I didn't know too much about it until I actually went and got to say it. I thought it was pretty dope, and I know my kids use it when they purchased sneakers and things like that, so I thought it was pretty dupe. A lot of people use it, but they don't understand like how it started, and a lot of people have left eBay to go to stock X as far as when it comes to buying, provides a service for the community. Yes,

for the sneakerhead, because you don't get got. You don't even have to be a sneakerhead to do that. Like sometimes you're like, I want these sneakers that just came out and you think you're buying them, and then had enough about stock X. We're not getting paid for that, but I just wanted to shout them out, that's all. I had a great time yesterday. Yeah, one of the Democrats are bought up stock X last night and told the American people how they can't how they cannot get

got buying fake sneakers. Then then people might have cared a little bit more. Yeah, the debate last night was whack. I didn't think it was gonna be good. Like I said, you can't get ten people on the stage and tell them they can only talk for two hours and ask some questions in between and they get a chance to explain themselves. If last night was in the indication the Democrats are in trouble in twenty twenty, okay, I guarantee the final fight team and then game was way easier

to organize and execute than that mess we saw last night. Well, we are gonna have some highlights from the Democratic debates last night in case you missed it. I was watching it while I actually had my run with you yesterday, so we went for a run in the pocket. It was like ninety something to grease out. Then I came home and watched the debates and you know, I was in and out of watching. Didn't see too Candy trying to talk Spanish and they sounded like me when they

asked Corey Booker and beat Rock battle instead. Bat Ol Rock had a spark when he started, but now he just garbage, like seriously, like it's like all his mixtapes of fire last year, and he dropped his job this year, and it's like, who is this guy? This guy's trashed Mike God he what's up next? Though? In front page news, Oh that's how I felt like they were talking Kis to the Spanish bad. It was pandering and I'm saying,

I'm I'm shocked. More people in the Spanish community on upset about that, like it was just straight pandering for no goddamn reason. See, I didn't know. I didn't know what was happening when they did it. When they did that, why did he do that? You know, say, yee, I'm really serious. When we got to breakfast uh frontage, Oh, I told you say where the Democratic takes all? Right,

Well that's next though, keep it locked though. It's the breakfast club, do PJ M v Angela Ye, Charlemagne the god we all the breakfast club was getting some front page news. But we're starting you, I mean, let's start with the Democratic presidential debate. The first night of the debates was last night. Tonight is the second night, and tonight is when a lot of the heavy heads will be on stage. I think Elizabeth Warren was one of

the highest polling candidates was on stage last night. Corey Booker was there as well, Betowa Rug, Julia cast, Joe, Bill de Blasio, um Klobashar was there. Who else was on the stage? Tim Ryan? Yes, Tim Ryan was there. But let's get into it, Okay. So they were talking about well, they were talking about the economy, and somehow Betoo Work started speaking in Spanish. This economy has got to work for everyone, and right now we know that it isn't, and it's going to take all of us

coming together to make sure that it does. Necessit. Almost inquired persona and alex State Economia, almost persona instro Panda Panda, Panda, Panda, Panda Panda. I know one thing, A lot of them better bring the rows that are thrown to night. Okay, if they don't know how to speak no Spanish, they've had to pull up on that stage knowing how to speak from goddamn Spanish tonight, because clearly that's a requirement. They started randomly speaking Spanish in the middle of a debate.

Every reason so crazy, all right, Well, Corey Booker also spoke Spanish. They said, this is the most Spanish that's ever been spoken during the Democratic presidential debate. You think is acceptablic day President Togo demon Zado Lomma Grante says, in acceptable. He said, day one, I will make sure the number one we end the ice policies and the customers and border policies are violent and the human during a sound span, it's like a Rocky movie. Didn't it's

had like a rocket movie. Dan, that sounded crazy? Or you should have just spoke great new CD, all right way with the abonics or something good. The cant hear that just beginning that again? Please just the beginning su accept the president. He might as well have just screamed out, this is what they want. They want. I'm telling the Democrats the black man was in the indication name Trouble Like. It's really starting to look like Captain America Civil War

and I've got damn Democrats. Well, let's get down to Julian Casto talking about immigration. He actually called Abbe to a work on immigration, and here's what he had to say. The reason that they're separating these little children from their families is that they're using Section thirteen twenty five of that Act, which criminalizes coming across the border, to incarceerate the parents and then separate them. Some of us on this stage have called to end that section, determinate it.

Some like Congressman or Rourke, have not, And I want to challenge all of the candidates to do that. All right, well, better day respond And here's what he had to say to Julian Castro's a number of congress I helped to introduce legislation that would ensure that we don't criminalize those who are seeking asylum and refuge in this country. If you're fleeing, if you're the I want to make sure everybody else with respect. I'm still talking about everybody else.

You're looking at just one small part of this. I'm talking about a comprehensive rewrite of our immigration laws. Bad all roll kind of spark when he started, but now he's just garbish. And you know Lebron and Beyonce Gashed, y'all love waring his hat last year. This stage is too big for him. He's not built for this in the least bit. All right, Well, I'm angela year and that is your front page, and will have more on that in the next front page News too, because we

do have to talk about women's rights to choose. We have to talk about more about immigration, We have to talk about the economy, we have to talk about healthcare and all of that. Yes, Luthor, guys on stage last night who said that they've been fighting harder for women's rights than any person on that stage, and it was a three other three women on the stage. We're going to get into that though. Amazing those guys are all right, get it off your chest. That's for a page news.

I get it off your chests eight undred five eight five one on five one. If you need to vent, hit us up right now, phone NS a wide open. Maybe you seen the debates, you think they would trash. Yeah, damn bridge they find him over the bridge. Man. Mental health. Scary issue, man,

scary issue. Man. Just people be aware. That's why, man, that's why, that's why. That's why I loved last night during the debates when they were talking about gun control, Tim Ryan brought up the fact that you know, these kids are dealing with trauma and they need you know, therapists, and they need social and emotional learning. I'm like, yo, how is he the only candidate that bought that up in an issue about gun violence? Hello? Who's this? Just

deon for solid? Good morning? D up, getting you know what's going on. I just want to shout out the baby. I don't know if anybody did it from the city, but I wanted to do it. That's right, you're still six feet about the dirt. There you go, get it. Let's get it all right, you too, get it off your chest. Eight hundred five eight five one o five one. If you need to vent, hit us up right now. Now. We got rumors on the way. Yes, let's talk about

Mary j blist. She's just inked a deal. Will tell you what that deal is. Also, man, we do got to talk about Carmelo Anthony this morning. I don't know if we should do it now, let's get into it. Black men don't cheat. Carmelo's Puerto Ricane. Oh my goodness, that was that was his man's wife. We'll get into that next. Keeping locked this to Breakfast Club. Good morning, the Breakfast Club. Listen, it's just oh gosh, go report guys,

it's the Rum Report Breakfast Club. Well. R Kelly was in court yesterday morning and prosecutors have turned over a tape. On that tape allegedly he is raping an underage victim. He's facing eighteen charges for sexually abusing four different women, and they are saying that he's with a fourteen year old girl on this tape. What's new? Yeah, I mean that gets It's a new tape that people haven't seen before. Obviously, it's not going to be released to the public. It's disgusting,

they said. In twenty seventeen, Illinois passed the bill that eliminated the statute of limitations for all felony criminals sexual assault and sexual abuses against kids new tape running the same old place, but this time it's going to have a totally different result of Then there's a petition now to keep The Office on Netflix. We told you about the about Netflix getting The Office is leaving Netflix in January of twenty twenty one, and it'll be available on

NBC Universal's new streaming platform. But now they have this petition to try to keep it there. I don't know if that can possibly happen, Okay, but I know damn petitions. They care about that paper, Okay, MS hundreds of them. That's how you keep shows like that. Yeah, that was their number one show on there. And apparently there was an auction and NBC Universal beat Netflix. Netflix offered ninety million dollars per year for five years and did a

hundred millions. Simple mathematics. People gotta go with the money. Here, what y'all got damn petitions? Y'all can get one hundred million signatures on the petitions. Knock it off. Mary J. Blide, she has her newly lunged Blue Butterfly Production company and now they have signed a deal. They have a first Look TV deal with the lions Gate shall develop and produced series and be able to create content across all their business platforms as well. So congratulations to Mary Jay

Mary bells back from divorce. She's doing well, she seems happy. She's putting out dope music going on. Yeah. Was having this conversation yesterday with Andrew Martinez and I'm just like, yeah, I still don't feel like Mary gets through respects she deserves. Man, I really don't. Well, Mary is. I'm happy for her that she seems much happier in life. Absolutely, she went through it all right. I used to Curry is taking

that Harvard Business School course? Which one, you know, the one that is going or it's just one that everybody's taking on one it's online. I wonder if that course is good. We gotta touch to somebody that took that car though she was a cook, she is, she owns restaurant.

Respect that certificate, somebody who went to Harvard, Like, how do you feel that all these people are taking their courses online and saying I got my Harvard degree at Well, if you don't have a Harvard degree, you have a Harvard Business School people respect that piece of paper, though, is what I'm trying to I don't know, but the bigger issue is are you really learning a lot? That's what I'm saying. Who cares about that? Did you learn enough?

Because she's an entrepreneur, she owns restaurants. Is this business course actually helping you with your business? I just want to know what goes on in this course. I want to talk to somebody that took this course. I want to know if the certification means and I'm about to take into a real world, how much is that course? Like if I put that down on a resume, I said, I went to Harvard Community College with people respect. It's not a community college as well. Be all right and

rest in peace to Eminem's father, Marshall Bruce mothers. He died in near Fort Wayne, Indiana. They said that he had a heart attack while at home. He was sixty seven years old. He close with his father. I think they were strange because they never never rapped about him. I don't think I remember any I've never met him in person. Oh apparently so yes. I never heard him a ball about it, dare. I wasn't the husge Seminem fan, but I know that he I think my name is

my closet. He did, and according to his mother, Debbie She married Bruce when she was twenty two, when he was twenty two and she was fifteen. Yikes, all right, now, Carmelo Anthony, let's talk about that because this was trending yesterday. There were some pictures that surface of Carmelo Anthony on a yacht in the south of France. He's on the yacht and there's a woman there with him, and that picture was viral everywhere. Everybody was talking about it, acting

like he was cheating. He never does this, but he did address what the bloggers were saying. Here's what he said, keep my family out this man. I'm over here trying to do my business retreat. I'm over here trying to have a good time. I'm on a boat with some friends. Them people are married. Man, they ain't got nain't got nothing to do with anything. Y'all trying to expose y'all exposing somebody's wife, y'all exposing to somebody's kids. All that. Like,

come on, now, I gotta deal with that. I gotta deal with that with my son. I gotta deal with that with my wife. You know, here's the thing about social media. You see picks with zero context and you jump to conclusions based off what you feel is going on. When the person comes out and explains what it is, you don't believe them because you don't want to. You already got your mind made up. All right. Well, but

he addressed that to clear up with his family. That's that's who's playing all this is y'are playing with home. He knows all about to get all of that slammed on social media, so he gotta jump on there and clean that up. Well. The only other thing that happened was the woman that they say that he has a baby with. Uh says. She posted on social media as well. She said, m where's out here? Explaining how they're laid up on a boat with another man's wife but can't

explain why they can't spend time with their daughter. Hashtag explain that. She also put hashtag black men don't cheat? She did a fact aid. She put black men don't cheat. I don't. I don't think that would be the person you would want to be the spokesperson for the black men don't. I'm saying the baby about him. All I'm saying is, you know that can easily be misconstrued, all right, when it comes to that picture, we take family and

friend vacations all the time. All right. If I'm lying on the beach in the chair next to one of my wife and I was homegirls and next to my man's girl or his wife, people could take a picck of that and take that out of context. Well, hopefully Lila and Carmelo know what's going on behind the scenes. She would, I would think, know where he was and who he was with. So when a picture like that comes out, he's like, oh, yeah, that's such and such his wife, Like I told you, and that should clear

it right up. And I don't know who that young lady is talking about daughters and whatnot. But thank you for the hashtag black men don't cheat. That is not so I'm just telling all right, imagine again that's your room of reports, true, Carmelo path Forto Rican. I'm gonna throw that out there as well. My goodness. All right, Front page News next. Yes, we are going to talk more about these democratic debates that we went down yesterday. All right, we'll get into that when we come back.

It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning, good morning. Everybody is DJ mvy Angela Guee Charlomagne the guy. We are to breakfast club. Let's getting some front page news. We don't know if we're talking about the Democratic debates that went down yesterday, the Democratic presidential debates. It was night one. Tonight is night two of these debates, So make sure you guys are paying attention. I was telling one of my home girls. I was like, listen because she was like,

I don't know anything about politics. I don't care. I said, well, this is a good debate for you to watch, because it's a good way to see who some of these candidates are, see if you like what any of them are saying, and it's just a good time to try to get involved. And I think a lot of people still have a lot of questions, just basic things like

how does this affect me as a person. I'm gonna be honest, if you just started watching, you know, we're following the Democratic candidates and you watch these debates, you're gonna be really really confused because it looks so messy and it looks so unorganized. All right, so let's get it started. We'll talk about klobaschar She had to check Jay Insley, and that was when he claimed he was

the only candidate who did this. It should not be an option in the United States of America for any insurance company to deny willing coverage for their exercise of their right choice. And I am the only candidate here who has passed a law protecting a women's right to reproductive health and health insurance. I just want to say, there's three women up here that have fought pretty hard for women's right to choose. So I'll start with that. I think we share the goal of universal healthcare. White

male entitlement. Man, it's hard for white men and took their privilege when it comes into anything. He couldn't say much to that. I just gotta shut up and just take that one. That's the Cristopher Colobus effect. Though. Okay, I'm always discovering something that was already here. Now, another issue was with healthcare right. Should there be universal healthcare for everyone? Should people still have private healthcare with their jobs,

with their companies. Here's what Elizabeth Warren and Julian Cash would have to say about healthcare. I'm with burning on medicare for all. And let me tell you why. I've spent a big chunk of my life studying white families go broke, and one of the Number one reasons is the cost of healthcare, medical bills. And that's not just for people who don't have insurance, it's for people who have insurance. I don't believe only in reproductive freedom. I

believe in reproductive justice. Just because a woman or let's also not forget someone in the trans community, but trans email is poor, doesn't mean they shouldn't have the right to exercise that right to choose. Well, you got afro beats playing behind Elizabeth Warren and Julian Castro. I think that they were. We were getting these some websites that had clips up and they did their remix behind. Those

debates are trash all right now. Elizabeth Warren also talks about how the economy isn't working for everyone when you've got a government, when you've got an economy that does great for those with money and isn't doing great for everyone else. That is corruption, pure and simple. We need to call it out, We need to attack it head on, and we need to make structural change in our government,

in our economy, and in our country. Another thing that was discussed was ice and how ice is according to Corey Booker, and it's true, ripping away parents from children one day one I will make sure the number one we end the ice policies and the customers and border policies are violating the human rights when people come to their country, they do not leave their human rights at the border. We cannot surrender our values and I think that we're going to get border security, we actually will

lose security and our values. We must fight for both. It's amazing how all the Democrats answers are in context when you don't hate the questions because they be getting asked questions and they swerved or something out. But if you don't hate the questions, you just get an answers to non sew in context. And let's also talk about

Tim Ryan. One thing that he discussed was a mental health Ninety percent of the shooters who's do school shootings come from the school they're in, and seventy three percent of them feel shamed, traumatized, or bullied. We need to make sure that these kids feel connected to the school. That means a mental health counselor in every single school in the United States. That's why I liked Tim Ryan,

very consistent on that mental health issue. And you can't discuss violence without discussing mental health issues, because when you're talking about these mass shootings, you're dealing with a bunch of her kids and hurt people, hurt people. So that's got to be part of the conversation when you're talking about gun control. So what's your favorite person last night? Last night, I would say to me Castro fair the best and consensus. Can you play Corey Bookers talking Spanish again? Please?

Is inacceptablics President demon Zalo lost is inacceptable? Rested one day one. I will make sure that is cruet that no record olmi conto behind that? Right, there is no record. There you go, Let's see how it sounds together with Cory Booker, with the olmi conto behind I play that. Let's see a little bit. Turn that up. Baby, is in Acceptablics day President Tocago Demox cam Be arrested one day one. Bring back bring every more time when time

bringing game. This is what they want, day President. They want Demonazalvo top Cory car books On in acceptoblic day President, the Demonazalvo top boy cam Be arrested. Oi mean Booker, Oi me Booker, Oi me Booker. And you know his girlfriend is Rosario d Oi book That's play that in the Clubton not gonna clue bum for Corey Yankee. Damn yes, Corey Yankee, ain't no Joe goodness gracious. All right, when we come back to rod Car, Michael will be joining us, Yes,

drop car Michael, he got he might. Everybody's speagest banish not this. He have the h fields I should coming out this Sunday called Sermon on the Mount. So we're gonna talk to Gerry. All right, we'll talk to him next. Keep a lock just to Breakfast Club. The Breakfast Club, yep, weld no dangers. Want to show the Breakfast Club. One of my favorite people to talk to is him, my man Gerade called Michael. That's a lot though. You like the intimacy. It's very Frost Nixon, you know what I mean.

Like it's like, okay, well let's get a little seriously. Yeah, that's the one. I'm gonna cry, you think so probably have you ever thought about that? Like you know what certain interviews I know I'm gonna shed tears, Like if I ever said I thought about that, if I sit down with Oprah, yeah, I'm gonna cry. And I already got the story and I'm gonna tell you to cry. Oh yeah, yeah, well I guess I can't ask what the story is. Yeah, you got you gotta talk it

over you wait? Oh yeah yeah. I think about crying a lot, and I don't cry a lot. Ever, I cried. I haven't cried. I cried twice. I cried last night. Actually why uh, just like a friend, like a friend was going through something. It was weird. I never actually experienced that before. Really, yeah, a friend was going through something and it made me cry. You never experienced what empathy? No, not on not on that level. Usually just deal with things and like go whatever. And I was like, oh,

like really crying. The other thing that made you cry the Charleston shootings, but it was specifically the forgiveness of the family. I remember hearing the um the court hearing where like the shooter was there and like the families came up and they were just so like they were like what you did was wrong and I forgive you. And I know those people right like the Wednesday night prayer meeting like people, Yeah, like I went every week, so like that one. Really I was like depressed for

like a week. That one really got me because I knew I felt like I knew the intention of those people, Like they get off work at like six and then rushed the church by seven, and like it for them to get hill doing that was so devastating because like, but then when the family forgave the guy and was standing to uh, I don't know the religion that they held on too from the beginning, and like holding up on those principles and tenants and like something pure about that,

and that's an impossible thing to do, and they just did it kind of went by one and it was this beautiful thing watching them still connect with God and that don't watch their man you're documentarying. Yeah, I haven't seen it yet. That's that's a very pivotal part of the movie where they showed that exact scene with all these families forgiving Dylan Ruf. But then they got one of the brothers on there is like, Dad, he killed my mom. I'm never forgetting of course. Yeah, I haven't

gotten to that level of forgiveness yet. I don't think I have that any you have any open like enemies, any open gredness I have. I have two people that I have to liely despise on this planet. One is Wendy William's husband Calvin Hunter. Yeah, And the thing with me is like people say, oh, you gotta forgive because you're it's better for you. You're holding on to something negative, and I like, I don't feel that way, but I say, I'm yeah, Like, how much of your energy does it occupy,

like when you during the day. Is it just when he comes up or is it when he comes up? Yeah, exactly this when he comes up here on the radio, and it's it's it's a lot of performance. He comes up a lot. I know who this is for whatever reason, and I shouldn't, but it's a lot of performance that flows into it too, you know what I'm saying. So it's not like I really I really care. But you

know what somebody told me about forgiving us. They say you forgive someone when you um realize you're not going to do anything to them, meaning like if you get a shot at revenge, you're not going to do anything to them, or if you get a chance to them. And you don't feel that way yet you feel like Bernie mac on site, na, I think life is kicking his ass enough, So how come you can't let Oh? Then if life is already doing that, not that I

can't let go. I just don't give a full yeah, Like I don't hate him, it's just like him fine. But now when you cut your tonails and you just throw them away, I'm not thinking about my tone. But that is but that is with animosity. That's not without animosity to say that, to say I don't care, but Kim is still a strong that's still a direction to send your emotion. And it's not like you're like I've truly let it go. I could be at a party

and he's across the room and I'm fine. It's not like you're saying that there's still something and I'm just saying that's like I go through that and I have to deal with that, and I don't know. It's it's hard. It occupies a lot of space. If you hold on any you know that you got people that you don't dry.

I can't see that with you. I have like like random like kind of clouds over certain situations, like like for instance, like me and my dad are going through a thing like kind of a clash where you know, I have this weird expectation of him not to be a liar and and he's having trouble living up to that expectation, and I'm sure I'm having trouble living up to his. I mean, interesting dynamic. I saw I saw you with doctor Jessica Clemons the other day at the

be Well Conversation. But then I watched um I was

I started to call it home videos. That's just isn't home video though, the thing with your father and your uncle's and yeah videos, this one's sermon on the I watched that yesterday and I thought that was such an interesting dynamic because I think all men get to that point where like afraid of our fathers, and I don't think that ever goes away, But then it comes to point where you're a man and you gotta stand up to your pops and say exactly what you have been

feeling all of these years. Oh it's hard, Like I you saw both, Like when I talk with my mom, there's a certain piece and I'm like with my dad just I looked like Ray Charles, like it's like wait, I'm like fidgety and like I can't and I'm a kind of fidgety person, but like I'm very all over the place with him, because it is a hard thing, Like the dad has. You know, like there's a weird dynamic or weird power that you know, a father can't

have over a son. Um. Yeah. Yeah, and that's the first man that you looked up to that you wanted to be just like like your first idol, your first icon. But then you realize like my icon was wrong. Oh yeah, when you realize your dad is just a got somebody pregnant and your mom was this girl that was just doing the best she got there because like they are human and you're very flawed, and you know, it's a hard thing, but you have to accept that. With me

and my dad, it's weird because there's a dynamic shift. Uh, you know, to be honest, I just I you're the provider. Provider. Yeah, I feel like dad Dad should mean whoever paid for the last vacation. I'm Dad, the father of But that dynamic shift, it's it's hard, like, you know, not to sound weird, like both my parents are like on payroll. That's a weird dynamic shift to like live in you put your father on pay roll too, Yeah, what I understand. My mom gots moms. You know, I'm in the same

house too. It's just like even still to get like give a sense of like this is your own my money. Yeah, you have something and you have some of them. All We got more with Graw called Michael. When we come back, don't move. It's to breakfast club. Good morning morning. Everybody is DJ Envy Angela Yee. Charlomagne the guy. We are to breakfast club. We have Graw called Michael in the building, Charlomagne.

And I hear you talk about your pops that you when I see you in your pops talking, I understand that energy because I've been through it, Like when you talk about confronting your father over his infidelity. Yeah, like I didn't. I mean I wouldn't. You can tell your own no, but you but you went through the same same. It's crazy how specific that is, Like when I talk

to friends and stuff, how people go through that. People live in like a lot of this, like the home videos and this thing h part to forgive a sermonal my own thing. It's about freedom and it's that freedom to express, this freedom to not carry thing carry these weights of like you know, unspoken unspoken conversations you should have had carried the weight of like secrets, like being an adult with secrets is gross. That's so gross, you

know what I mean? And like having that with your like it's very easy to have that with your dad, and it's so specific with like other kids and outside marriages where like, you know, families I knew, like they usually found out at the funeral, like a funeral and like and then you look and you see your new brothers and sisters. And I didn't want to be one of those funeral new family discovery people. But it happens a lot. You Like, when did you confront your day?

I first confront of my father, like way back in the day. This had to be like twenty years ago. And you know this when I first found out because you know that woman who's now his wife, they lived and we all lived in the same town. Mom's going a small ass sound, so he'sed to always be over there. You know who is that? Oh that's my secretary, that's my assistant. Dumb like stupid ass line that you can't

believe somebody would actually believe. Yeah, So it's like when I confronted him, he looked me at my face and said, oh, you only got one girlfriend. It was like one day you go understand, so you don't understand how that me up as a man? God dam you're dead. Oh that seems like a deleted seed from the five hard. Then I go on to a life of infidelity. Yeah, because of that moment. Yeah, it was he making an infidel infidelity superhero. Well, how'd you confront your pops? I was.

I got drunk in London and called him he needed that liquid curage? Yeah, a little bit. I drank some And I'm never afraid of anything that was really scary to just like mostly because I felt like I could have my parents marriage and that's kind of I found out that my dad had other kids and was who he is since I was like nine or ten somewhere around there. So I kind of carried that like my entire childhood. And you feel this sense of obligation to

your mom. You want to protect her exactly. You don't want her to be hurt in any way. And you you think that by carrying this, you know, by being your dad's wingman on this, that somehow you're the glue that keeps the family together. Right, and then because all you know is like the media version of infidelity, right, Oh he cheats, she leaves its whole, you know, to Christmass type of and the truth is, like, you know,

I got drunk. I told him. My mom found out and it was this uh weird immediate forgiveness that she had. I say weird because it's, uh, I don't know if I expected that. I don't know. I knew she was like this Christian Southern Baptist lady who like held onto her beliefs, but I didn't think she would like immediately forgive him, and she did. And it's weird because I try to accept that. But I also wanted to be mad.

I wanted to be angry, you know, And she's just really sweet lady and very kind and like and her her sweetness angers me now, you know, because I don't feel like she's protecting herself and I don't feel like she's like guarding against herself against like you know, people lying to her, against the kind of cold, cruel world.

Like I said, I understand every emotion that you're talking about, and I'm glad that you got it out early because for me, over the past year or so, like I had like like therapy really made me hate my pops and I thought I loved my pa. I do love my pops. When you're in there and you're talking about all of the things that impacted you when you were young that you never spoke about. You just suppressed. You suppressed, you suppressed. Let mom and dad go to their thing.

But then as you're old and like, you talk about even something as small as a vacation, I take my may, my mom get a passport, we go the country and stuff. You would love to do that with your pops, but Pops is with the woman that he left your mom for. Yeah, I gotta choose side, Like I'm not taking you and your wife annyway, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, Yeah,

that's frustrating. Yeah, the loyalty that you feel, I mean, especially moms win one that Mom's always always that loyalty that you feel can disrupt your relationship with him, very very disruptive, you know, because you should be able to accept Pops a new girl and whatever. But it's hard because it's like if and it depends on if your mom accepts it. It's so many late and all that.

It's just a burden that people just you know, Harry trying to smoke some Yeah, I told my wife, I told my therapist, and I told my mom one thing that was that was bothering me so much about my pops and news the fact that he was treating his other grandkids like his, his wife's grandkids like his own, but doesn't acknowledge biological grandkids, and that bothered me for months. Yeah, and like you know, it was one little thing he asked me for. He asked me to do something for him.

I'm like, I'm not doing that as a punishment for you acknowledging your real grandkids. And I didn't tell them that. Yeah, but then I eventually told him and that didn't feel like a weight came off, you know what I mean? And will you up as a son is when your father says to you, you're right, Yeah, that's what. Yeah. Well dad's carries too, they like they know, but dads just said, it's always like come to me. Dad's love

that position of power. And just like even my friends who don't know their dad or know of their dad and like know where he is, and you would think and the dad knows of them, and you think the dad would be inclined to come visit, come see him, come talk to him, apologize, But even in that position, they still wait, you know, and still wait. Even if they know, I don't know if they feel it or not.

Even if they know they're wrong, they just wait. Yeah, it's interesting even watching the home videos and the sermon on the mount, because you know, I read this article that TV A V Clubs and they said that Dry doesn't know what to do with black women. I hate her, and they that's the one you asked if there's one, there's one. This look, she doesn't mean any home. But she's an idiot. She person that wrote that. It frustrated me for two reasons. One, I didn't send it out

to press for a reason. It's very very personal to match. It's the most personal thing you could possibly do. It's my family, you know. But and I it that specifically wasn't meant for reviews. It wasn't meant for press. I didn't come here, you know what I mean? Like that you don't like we talk a lot, and like I would have been here. Most people don't know it was I think like fifteen people watched it and loved it, and and I love you the fifteen that watched it

and loved it, I love you. But it was frustrated. I let it go. I saw it though it was like it was annoying because I didn't send it to you. One like, this isn't yours, and two you are I think wrong. I think you know. I reject her hypothesis honestly when I first thought, I said, Oh, it's dope because Gerride is making a space for black women to be heard, because that's always you know what black women say, Oh we don't. Nobody makes spaces for us to be heard.

I wanted to give a specific thing to give them the freedom to express themselves without feeling exploited or without feeling you know, vulnerable to any type. I could be there to protect them. This is mine, this is my production, I'm direct thing. I made this thing, and I know you and your thoughts are safe here. And so that's why that was made the way it was, Like me and the girls in the kitchen were just that us

talking and like them sharing really really intimate thoughts. They were all afraid, like later they're like, am I gonna get fired? They'll call me. They're like it's this okay. Like that's how vulnerable they felt. And I love that they were comfortable enough to do that and feed that with me. Yeah, even the New York times is like they don't feel like you got You're getting personal but not personal enough, And I'm like, what more do they want?

I know that like an X ray? All right. They didn't hurt to do this though, like to do the home videos thing. No, I felt great, Okay, in every respect, it felt really really great. Um, and I'm really thankful to every woman in it. Let me do it. Then let me just hear them and capture it. All right. We got more with Gerraw called Michael. When we come back, don't move. It's to breakfast Club. Good morning, puting everybody is DJ Envy Angela yee, Charlemagne the guy we are

to breakfast Club. We have Graw called Michael in the building, Charlemagne. I really enjoyed. Uh. Was that your sister at the end descernment on the mountain when she was just talking about why men shouldn't cheat, yeah, and how how how it does up the family. And I'm listening to her like I'm sitting back like preach, but you know, I'm cheater, So I understand who everything she's saying. Black men not yet we don't. Yes, watch the Sunday. I know one just my dad, but my dad, my dad's are Kelly.

And you gotta sat that on there and you correct. A lot of people's dads are Kelly. You might just admit it, but you don't have to. It's not in the literal sense, but in the emotional sense. Yeah, dads can be our Kelly sometimes, No, you have to explain that. Don't we think of our Kelly. We think of a

freaking pedophile who pets on little girls. Yeah? Yeah, well, I mean, how do you think having four children not my mom during the marriage feels that feels like, you know, like some pea happened, some got so I don't know, my heart got compete on my heart. He's our Kelly.

Makes perfect sense, now, that makes perfect Dads are Kelly because Pete on you don't under hr when you do something like home videos or sermon on the mount, is that your way of trying to establish a personal connection with the audience, Because as popping as you are and all the things you've done from sitcoms, the movies, whatever else, you don't really have a connection with the audience. It seems like, yeah, I think that I do, just not

in the sense of like social media. I'm always trying to connect I do care about a connection with the audience. That's all I care about, you know. I want people to feel it and understand. I want people to understand it or question it or throw rocks at it, or even just hate it and walk away and like let that spark something. I just want people to feel stuff

I am. I'm always like exploring myself and exploring like things, and so that manifest itself as work and came out as home videos, and you know was in the Carmichael Show, you know, it was in my stand up then the films I'm writing. It's like it's all in seek of a connection, in search of a connection, like I'm seeking Uh, I'm seeking understanding, I'm seeing. I am seeking being heard, you know. And that's why I'm not on because when I when I say something or I make something, I

I want your attention. I really want your attention. I want you to watch it. You know, not a lot of people watch the first one. Well you think I'm here. It's like, I think it's great. I think it's incredible, it's gorgeous, the music's good. How did you feel when Rell got cancer? That should have happened? Wow, Why it wasn't functioning. It wasn't working, you know what I mean? Like and Rells still, I mean, that's my brother. I

love him. It wasn't functioning, It didn't function right, and that it didn't find that rhythm, you know what I mean. It didn't find the thing. And it was just like I think it was a few ideas fighting each other and it didn't really find his foot. There's a lot of talented, incredible people involved in Like if the things I functioning, I let it go. But do networks give it a chance? Though? I mean, did he get a chance to find his rhythm? He's gonna kill me for this.

He got a chance? Yeah? Great? It was a fall release. I have no complaints for me on the launch of it, right, And like I didn't write it, but I was there to Like I always find my role is like protecting, Like my friends make stuff and I make things with my friends. I just want to protect it and whatever they want to do, I want to, you know, run block for that. Uh And you know, so I tried to do my job there, but it just didn't click, didn't connect. Did um Did the passing of Kevin Barnett

affected in any way? Well, he died after. I mean that affected us all in a you know, the obvious lingering way that it can affect it. Uh, that was after that was I mean, you know, we got dark sense of humor, so you know, obviously like to tell Rell that his show killed Kevin. But but like, but that's just so I don't expect you do what you do with your frame. You beholden to that. But like we can do that, we can make those jokes. I hope you said that to him in person and not

over text. I would probably both. I'm sure there's all types of trails of those types of jokes. Oh absolutely, yeah, yeah, yeah, no, yeah, that would that would be the show to kill Toby. If you're gonna die after the show, it's goddamn. That was a bad man. No, it was. No, I'm not saying to Shu. I'm saying it was a lot when when ideas are fighting each other, like when there's a conflict of ideas, it's it's tumultuous. It's not. You know, you spoke on home videos to your mom and this

was a headline. You said you hooked up with dudes before. Yeah, I didn't know if you were joking or not. Oh, good good. I mean, it's like kind of you know, it's obviously a line that you say and everyone when I didn't even pay no attention, Like it went over my like I was like, okay, yeah, and then I thought the headline. I was like, huh I missed that. Yeah, which should be the feeling for that, Like it's like I'd say it. I said it. There was a conversation

with my mom. I said it, and what else? What was it true? And if it is, what made you want to use that forum for that. I don't want that to feel exploitaive, like home videos shouldn't feel that. And it's like we all playing and we all like naked and this thing. Then we all naked and the thing and like and it's my mom and I you know, I was scarious to see what she would think of that in that moment, and that was just such a

pure moment of expression. And so it happened. It sounded like that was the first time she ever heard that.

There was wow. So the whole family period of the first time they ever heard that, uh something, Yeah, what was the reaction to the family, especially the hood ass uncles and your hood ass that I mean nobody said like yeah, Like I mean, here, here's the thing, like to get hung up on anything that I say, Like, I'm always going to present things as honest as I can, and like sometimes you know, it's a little bit of complexity to that that people can't accept, and I just

accept that if you just not even't accept that. You know, I didn't accept me, You're not gonna accept my work. You know. It's I'm cool with that. I'm cool with letting that go. I don't think that's anything that like is in any way of disruption to life or to career, to personal relationships that I care about at all. Like, yeah's it seems silly otherwise, you know what I loved about it. I love that you said that you put

it out there and people really didn't you. And I was like yes, because I'm tired of the press conferences. Like again, like be free, like say whatever, maybe it's not that. Maybe it's a conversation with your dad, Maybe it's a conversation with your mom, Maybe it's a conversation with your girl or your boyfriend or your whatever. Be free, express it, express us what you're feeling, who you like, be you. Yeah, but you know, it's gonna be pressure on you now to be an ally and be an advocate.

And you know, I mean, I don't listen to any pressure to be anything other than me, you know what I mean? Like, And I express my views as I have them, and I share them, and I try and

contribute as much as I can when I can. And I said, I don't look for like, I'm not gonna use anything to try and springboard like you know, I won't use any status as any minority or any whatever, like I've never seen you lean on any of that stuff, not even being black, Like no, I mean it's inherent look at me, yeah, darkness, what what the what else do you want? Clear? I experienced life as the look you know what I mean, Like like I I don't need to like, I'm not gonna abuse that. I actually

I really care. I don't. I'm not gonna abuse it. I'm not gonna use being black the springboard and whatever like you know that's your route, then do it. But you know, I know how beautiful black people are and their stories are and how complex that is, and I want to capture that. And I want to capture that even if it doesn't fit with the moment. I don't consider any of that. I just capture what I think

is beautiful. So a sermon on the Mount? Is this what you're hoping that it gives people just that ability to feel free? I hope it at least sparks the desire to want it. Yeah. If it's small, like whatever, and I'm not trying, like, I don't believe art cures cancer, so I don't. It's not like I'm like, you know, and this will change you. I'm not gonna give you the Tony Robbin's speech or whatever. It's just again, a

piece of emotion that I found interesting. But if it can spark within you something that you know you needed to do or say, or a feeling you've needed to express, then I'm very happy you watch. Yeah. I feel like it gives it shows that uncomfortable conversations don't have to be uncomfortable. No, that's what they showed so notable. Yeah, it's only these uncomfortable as we make them. Yeah. Yeah, things are always as uncomfortable and as awkward as you. Yeah. Yeah.

My man called Michael when is serving on the Mount come out Sunday? Well, thank you for coming, man, I appreciate you man, you know you're one of my favorite I love you too. My man called Michael is the Breakfast Club. This is the Rumal report with Angela years Well. Congratulations to Meek Mail. He's now co owner of Lids. Yeah, that's amazing. So he made that announcement. I'm business insider and that's all partly due to his close connection with

Michael Rubin as well. So he said he has a new approach to the new venture and he studied and looked to jay Z in order to get this deal done. So drop on a clues bomb from Meek Mill that should translating with some break. He said, you know, this is my boss year. A lot of what I'm doing, I'm trying to get ownership and a lot of things to where I can still live comfortable the way I was living in my prime years as a Wrapper. I'm just trying to build a foundation of some good businesses

that will keep me living good and Lids. I've been shopping at Lids my whole life, wearing hats, fittags of course, fitted hats and caps, all types of hats. Marriage Lids must be having some trouble, but I can't see how they will be having some trouble because everybody's still wearing fittage. I'm just trying to figure out how he would end up with fifty percent of it, is what I'm saying. I guess whatever money here, I thought they said, right, he said they said he's a cold, right, so that

doesn't mean that. I'm sure a lot of things are also moving online as well too, so I'm sure that's going to be part of it. You know, so many retail locations are closing down. All right. Now, let's talk about Cameron. He was on social media yesterday and he had posted twerk videos, is played out sis, post a video of you reading out loud that turns me on. Let's check that pronunciation. But Juju responded in the shade

room and she just put a real child. So I don't know what that response meant, but it made Cameron go on social media and post a whole entire like three minutes addressing it. Here's what he said about why he ended up breaking up with Juju post of all want to start off with same, I'm not sure I love love for you, happy for everything. I didn't break up with you because it wasn't fun or anything like that. I broke up, of course, castol and then the feat

up one of my coworkers for unfollowing. I'm too old to beat somebody up or see somebody getting picked up to brace me three hundred thousand dollars a year, but unfollowed, alright. He goes on to talk about all the things that he's done for Juju while they were together. I got you one love and hip hop. I negotiated the best post term person who love him her heart. Yeah, you got contract. I thought you that money. You're still more for two three seasons, and I'm happy. Funny, I didn't

care about I'll support it to you. When you got your monkey, you got your hair, ladies of the movie, everything with that. I was sitting before, all right. So he got very very petty. But when he was on the Breakfast Club, he did say it wasn't fun anymore, and that's why they broke up. If you recall now you and Juju broke up, what happened. It just wasn't fun anymore, you know what I'm saying, Like, I met Juju in two thousand and two. She's my friend before

we even started being serious. You know what I'm saying, Like that was my home girl. Like everything was fun. But for me once Instagram came out, like then it start getting serious. Why are you following her? Or you like that person picture? Or people are saying this, and I'm like, yo, you gotta be my best friend. Still, you know what I'm saying, because that's what I'm minute for.

I don't know the hell is going on, but I do know whenever cameeron, goes on IG live, and anything with old music playing in the background is guaranteed to be entertaining. All right, Well, Jujie, last thing she posted was blessed, bucked and busy and a flyer because she's gonna be in Pittsburgh and so go party with her. But you know, I don't like to see this messiness happening between people who at one point did really love each other. And I like Juju as a person. All right,

I'm Angela yee And that is your rumor report. All right, thank you, Miss Charlemagne. Don't get the day? Will you giving it? Two? Tay? So I'm very confused about the Day's don't give to day. This is absolutely one of the stupidest stories that I've heard in a minute. So I don't really know who needs to come to the front of the congregation. Oh, We're gonna post a poll on Breakfast Club's Twitter page and let the people vote, and I'll tell y'all who's getting donkey at nine thirty.

But I will be here to tell you the story for after the hour, all right, and trust me, it's stupid. All right, we'll get into that. NeXT's the Breakfast Club. Good morning, Breakfast Club. to seven four four five six. It's time for Donkey of the Day. I'm a Democrat, so being Donkey of the Day a little bit of a mix, so like a dog day. Now. I've been called a lot in my twenty three years, but Donkey of the Day is a new wife. Yes, Donkey to Day for Thursday, June twenty seventh is very complicated. I'm actually genuinely confused about this.

It's one of those situations where you read the headline and you're like, what the hell, But then you read the details of the story and you get a better understanding of what the hell is going on. So let me read the headline for you. Listen. Alabama woman shot in the stomach during fight indicted for the manslaughter of her unborn baby. It's the context. Marshal Jones has been indicted by grand jury over the death of her unborn baby after she was shot in the stomach when she

was five months pregnant. Let's go to the hill for the report. Police and Alabama woman was indicted for manslaughter when she was shot and her unborn child died because a grand jury said she initiated the confrontation. Marshay Jones of Birmingham was five months pregnant when Ebony Jemison shot her in the stomach in December twenty eighteen. Jemison was charged with manslaughter by police, but the grand jury did not indict her, leading to the dismissal of the charges.

Al dot Com reported Pleasant Grove Police Lieutenant Danny Reid, are you Jemison had merely defended herself after Jones initiated the fight. I've never heard of anything like this. The shooting was the result of a fight between Marshay Jones and Ebeney Jimison outside of a Dollar General store. Police Lieutenant Danny Reid alleged to fight stem because of the

unborn baby's father. Lieutenant Reid also alleged to pregnant woman initiated the fight and therefore bore some responsibility keywords some responsibility regarding injury to the unborn child. The official statement is miss Jones initiated and continued to fight, which resulted in the death of her baby, who relied on her for protection. The fetis was dependent on his mother to try to keep it from harm, and she shouldn't seek

out unnecessary physical altercations. The young lady, Ebaney Jemison was initially charged with manslaughter, but the charge was dismissed when the grand jury failed to indict her. I am so confused by this situation, Okay, I absolutely feel like Marsha Jones does have a responsibility to that unborn child and her stomach. No drinking alcohol, no drugs, no cigarettes, nothing that can affect the life of that unborn child. Being five months pregnant and initiating a fight with another woman

over the baby daddy is absolute ignorance. Now, I'm all about my Second Amendment rights, the right of the people to keep in bear arms. So if Ebany had a gun and she's attacked, I can't be mad at her for protecting herself, because that's what guns afore. Now it's easy to say, hey, Ebaney shouldn't have done that to a pregnant woman, But I'm not gonna tell Ebany how to react. Okay, pregnant and not pregnant, you have to defend yourself, Okay, your fight or flight instincts kicked in,

and it's all about self preservation. I understand. The problem I'm having with this situation is that when I read it, it just all sounds stupid. Okay, Marsh is an absolute idiot. I have no remorse for anyone initiating a fight at five months pregnant. She made a poor choice and it caused her the life of her baby. I'm just not sure she should be charged with manslaughter. I mean, what if she was speeding in a car and gotten a

wreck and lost the baby. That's a poor choice. But would she be charged with a vehicular manslaughter for that? Like Charger would assault for starting to fight and didn't let her have to live with the guilt of causing her baby to be harmed, but charging her a manslaughter, I don't know about that one. I do understand how she is responsible for the while being a unborn child, though, and fighting while being five months pregnant is definitely not responsible.

But the backdrop of this happening in the state of Alabama, okay, with fetus is seemed to have more rights than regular people is really blowing me. So this is what I'm gonna do because I'm just not sure of who should get dunk here today. All right? You know we do Dunky today, replay nine thirty am every more on it. We got a Paul on Breakfast Club's Twitter page, and you tell me who should get Donkey? Who should get

this he harship it? Should it be Marshay Jones, the young woman who lost their baby and was charging manslaughter. Should it be Eboney Jamison, the young lady who actually shot the young lady in self defense? Or should it be the law enforcement in Alabama who charged Marshay Jones

with manslaughter? All right, go to at Breakfast club ams twitter page and let us know and at nine thirty am, we will crown the donkey of the day in this situation, because I really don't know who should get donkey today in this situation, because this a whole story needs to get the credit it deserves for being stupid to me. But I'll let y'all decide, all right, we'll decide at nine thirty next ask ye eight five, eight, five one or five one if you need relationship advice to any

type of advice. He e. Now it's the Breakfast Club. Good morning, the Breakfast Club, and everybody is DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlomagne, the guy. We are the breakfast Club. Time to ask Hello, who's this? Hey? Good morning? This is Lena. Hey Lena, what's your question for you? My question is, should be up keep of a man's home when you're dating him? Or the appearance that he has you see when you're first dating? Should that be a deal breaker? If it's not so good? How bad is it? So?

I met this man online and it was all going fine, and after a month and a half he was like, you know what, one should come over to my place and I'll make you dinner. And I said, okay, cool. When I came over. It was really bad. Like it was like there was dog food on the counter. It looks like it's been there for a while. Okay, what else? Like it was really weird. And then I sat on his bed like I was waiting for him to like finish. So I sat on his bed and I don't know

if it was pleased that bit me? Oh hell no, bit me if he's dating him, because there was no couch girl, so it sounds like he kid how old is he? This man was damn near thirty five. Oh hell girl, he do not have his life together. If you don't have his place together, that's disgusting. And how can you day somebody whose house you don't even want to go to? I would tell him I did see, and that's the thing, like I because he was like after I was like, listen, I think I'm having like

an allergic reaction to something. I'm gonna going to the pharamac sea and get like a Fena's row like talk and he I didn't really talk to him to the rest of the night. And the next day he's like everything okay, And I was like, oh no, like I got bit by something like this is weird and he couldn't understood, Like he wasn't saddening. He's like, oh, well, that's like a deal breaker. And I'm like, I'm itchy as hell that I come to your house and get

bit by fleas and bedbugs. Yes, that's a dealbreaker. Ever again, he was like, so, yeah, so I don't want to know on your end, would that be a whole deal breaker or that would be a deal breaker for me? Somebody dirty, because if he has those bugs in his house and he comes to your house, he's bringing them there. He gotta get his life together. Imagine a life with somebody like that. Imagine y'all end up being together and living together. Yuck. His hygiene hygiene is so important. But

she said she wasn't gonna date him again. She just said she's not going back to his crib. Okay, he's gonna bring them bugs to your house. She should never date him again. You should never see this man again. She got to make sure she didn't bring those balls. She's asking, she's asking, it's a deal breaker. Yeah, this is a damn deal break up. How we know she ain't bring them? He might have some them bugs in

his puber here. How do you know she didn't bring him no, no, but even even there's a level of maturity of taking care of yourself, of that that you should be concerned about it. If he's not cared about his own hygiene, how's he gonna care about you? Did you kiss him before you kissed him? You might have You might have them. Doctor putting a lot of blame on this guy. You don't know if this girl about

them fleas herself. I definitely brought no pleae to my house, and that's where I thought it was a level of disrespect because he's been to my house and I my house perfect, Like, how dare he even try to have you? Yeah, he could have cleaned up. You might have some fleas in your hand. You know that my house is clean, like, and you know I'm coming, and you knew far in advance. It wasn't like, oh man, I'm in the neighborhood, let me drop by, like he knew from like four days before. Yeah,

girls encounter, Nope, Nope, you gotta move on. Sorry, Okay, go get yourself checked out, though. Make sure you ain't got no fleas, nothing on your mustasch you're here. Imagine he probably don't even brush his teeth every night. He probably don't clean his butt after he goes to the bathrooms. Right, you might have a cavity. Now you better, you better go to dnist. But what if he's a great guy.

You can teach him all these things, you know? Yes, I was like dealing with like that's where I was bottling. He's really nice. He showed no before I went to a house. Mom. I know it's hard out there trying to find a man, but that's not the one for you. He's a single bomb ass man. All you need is a woman's touch. Please, yes, Now what are we talking about? Hire that man an exterminator. Clean his house up. She should clean. She should clean his house. He should clean

his own house. Men suck at that. If you don't clean his house, he don't clean his man. Ain't true. I shouldn't have to clean your house for you, all right, honey? Good like listen, you deserve better, Okay, get somebody on your level of class, on your level of cleanliness. Well, I've appreciate it, Thank you, all right? Asking God from my wife. Thank God, my wife always telling me to pick stuff up. But you ain't got no please many

You can call ye Ease number. It's not my number. We give you Ease number. It just made me feel like she was one of

my daughters, you know what I mean Like that. That's why I thought you was about to be big bro. But I'm an roll through. Yeah, I don't think. I don't think her mom or dad would want her talking to Envy. How about I'll talk through ye? All right? Ask ye eight hundred five A five one on five one that we got rumors on the way. Yes, let's talk about bird Man. He was talking about MESSI interviews. All right, we'll get into that next. Think that is

it's about report Angela Yee on the Breakfast Club. So Birdman recently sat down with Nick Cannon and talked about MESSI interviews. Here's what he had to say. And I don't know who he's talking about. Why is it that people feel like it's a necessity in the radio space. And even all these interviews, everybody got a show now that they feel like they want to be messy and talk about stuff that we know as solid individual we don't want to talk about that. Where does that energy

come from? And how do we change that? You know? Ready, yours as a hell of a job, take it to completely out of content by disrespectful him and down play the artist. So when the disrespect comes you, I think, um you. So they got to do a job. But it's still a line. You know, as a man and as a person. Sometimes you got to check that show. But we have never had a messy interview a Burnman

because you never had a Burnman interview. All right, we had a Burnman moment, And I feel like Nick Cannon be doing some things, whaling about always putting his damn foot in his mouth. You on that radio every morning, okay for the next however long you chan you're gonna be messy too, all right? Now, he had his own was it a podcast? Remember when he hosted for Wendy Show. For that we had you was on there being a little messy asshole. Burnman wasn't messy Burman, but Charlemagne just

said he wasn't talk about y'all. Okay, I don't know. Maybe Burman is right though. Radio personalities don't think you can say whatever you want to say, and the artists can't react however they want to react, react however they want to. That's whether that's storming in here, whether that's punching you in the face, whether that's all in you

a sucker street. That's right. I've had I've had it all, so I don't even respect you media personalities who he never got punched hips out the head to be totally honest with you, y'all, just talking video gracious. He also has a new film project with Chris Brown coming your FYI. Oh yeah, dope, is it okay? Just to make sure you weren't being messy? Shut up. I wonder why Nick Cannon being so messy. I like, he ain't about to be messy on that damn radio. He just did that.

That was kind of messy. That was messy, okay, Wren members coming back that head wrap radio ancle work, but for so long? All right, all right now, the Lion King is breaking advanced ticket ticket sales. According to Fandango and Adam tickets. They're saying that's breaking records for straight up Disney movies. And they said the first day sales of advanced tickets topped the mark that was previously held by Beauty and the Beast back in twenty seventeen. What

does it come out this weekend? You're gonna go see it? Yeah, I'm taking my kids, all right? Comes back this weekend for real. Um, the film comes out July nineteen. Oh, so you guys can go this weekend. You see what happens. No Man Far from Home, all right? Vah one. They're doing eight one hour episodes of Love and Listings. Now what is that show? Well, it's set in southern California and it's a real estate docuseries and you know who. It stars Sug Night's son, Jacob Knight. So that's going

to be premiering Wednesday, July thirty. First, what is the show about real estate in southern California? I knew that, But what is what are he doing? He's a real estate trainee and he's trying to recover from his family legacy. So I guess they'll show him with some celebrity clientele trying to show them houses, trying to be a real estate Marle. Yeah, it's about a blood trying to sell real estate to a crip in a blood neighborhood. That

will be yeah, yeah, yeah, yes. His celebrity clientele will include people like Jamaine Dupree, Jordan Sparks and Burros Ray j and Brandy and laz Alonzo. FYI, all right, ja Cole, he hasn't filed the documentary trailer for a Revenge of the Dreamers. Three? Are you guys excited about that? It's a new film called Revenge and that movie actually is going to chronicle the making a Revenge of the dream dream Is three? And last, but not least, I do

want to talk about Lala and Carmelo, Anthony. Let's make sure we get this Carmelo audio up again. Dramas And you know, earlier today we were talking about how Carmelo was spotted on a yacht with a woman and that went viral. So a lot of people were weighing in saying that he was cheating on Lalla. Who's this woman that he's with in Europe. Well, he has responded because the heat was crazy and he wanted to explain himself. Keep my family out. This man I'm over here trying

to do my business retreat. I'm over here trying to have a good time. I'm on the boat with some friends. Them people are married. Man, they ain't got nay, ain't got nothing to do with anything. Y'all trying to expose y'all exposing somebody's wife, y'all exposing somebody's kids. All that, Like, come on, now, I gotta deal with that. I gotta deal with that with my son. I gotta deal with that with my wife. That's what I'm saying. Man, he's

thinking about social media. You see picks with zero context, and you jump to conclusions based off what you feel is going on. When the person comes out and plain, is it like Mello did? You don't believe him because

you don't want to. You already got your mind made though, right, Well, his alleged child's mother, because it's a woman that they're saying, it's his baby mom that he had a side baby she posted and where's out here explaining how they're laid up on a boat with another man's wife, but can't explain why they can't spend time with their daughter. Hashtag explain that and then she pulls it another hashtag. After she came to her sensus and what did she say?

That's exactly what she said. She put that hashtag very next that it was on Jasman Brand, Jamin Brand, look at Jasmine. I was there now, I thought I thought they said it was there. It was there. She boasted that, and then she came to her senses and said, black men. Don't you know? I thought they had a guy. She couldn't really post anything and post pictures and say anything.

That's what I thought. Well, maybe I bro I don't know what that is about, but I do know when it comes to that picture, that can easily be miscontrued. Because we take family and friends vacations all the time. And if you lie on the beach and the chad next to you know, one of your wife homegirls, one of your home girls, and next to your man this girl and his wife. People could take a pick of that, and that could be out of context too, and say, hubby just went to the ball to get some drinks

for everybody. You know, just never know, never, You never know. On a boat or on the beach, it's like everybody laying shine by side next to each other, like that could happen. That's all I'm saying. Okay, Well, she did write hashtag blackman don't cheat. Finally somebody tells the truth. How ironic is that? All right, well I'm and that is your rumor report. All right, thank you, miss yate revote. We'll see you tomorrow. Everybody else to People's Choice mixes up. Next, Oh,

he shout out to Natina. She sent us to breakfast. Thank you, Natina. Natina, you lied. You text everybody and told me was sending them breakfast. You texted me this morning and said I'm sending you breakfast because your birthday is on Saturday. And you text you last night and told her that you were sending her breakfast because you love her exactly. Then you text Envy and say you were sending him breakfast. So you just you just out here playing all sides on Datina showing guns to everybody.

She definitely told me she was setting sex right here. I ordered a breakfast bread from Bubbies for your birthday. Will be there between eight and eight thirty. And that's exactly why I text back, I'm not hungry. You gotta stop ordering pork bacon two girls. I love you, Natina. Yeah, she said, I ordered breakfast for you guys. It's gonna rib eight eight thirty. She's say no about Charlomagne, but exactly, but I got detect right here. She said, why did

you get breakfast this morning? I told you ordered to breakfast. I'm like, oh, I was a juice. I love you On Latina She's like, I just said, because m VY, I love you. I don't really love the rest. She said all that, I definitely believe that. All right, Nina got some good news too good What what good news that moves? All right? Black men don't cheat? What's wrong with these people? Let's go. I told y'all at nine thirty AM, I was gonna tell y'a who was gonna

get dunky today? We put a poll up on Breakfast Club AM's Twitter page. It's gonna be up for the next twenty three hours. But in the first hour we got over eleven hundred votes, and twenty one percent of the people say, Marshy Jones, who got shot at? You get dunk here today? Fourteen percent of the people say Ebony James Jim is the shooters she get dunk here today?

With sixty five percent of people say law enforcement is to blame for charging Marshay Jones with manslaughter when she is the woman that was pregnant, got shot and lost her baby. So if that's what the people say, then this is what's going to happen. Please give law enforcement in Alabama the biggest he had. All right, when we come back, David John will be joining us. Today is National HIV Testing Day, so we'll chop it up with him. So don't move. It's to Breakfast Club. Good morning morning.

Everybody is DJ mvy Angela yee, Charlomagne the guy. We are to Breakfast Club. We got a special guest in the building, David John. Welcome back son. Thanks, I appreciate you. Good morning, my brother. How are you now? Today is National HIV Testing Day? Yes, it is yesterday, and you come up here every year during this time to spread awareness and tell people how they can get tested. And we also are doing testing add twoses for life in Brooklyn. Yes,

and that's gonna be on SAT excited about that. Yes, thank you for the opportunity. So let's talk about a little bit. Yeah, this is an annual day and opportunity for us to be reminded that we are still dealing with the HIV epidemic. It has been more than two decades and black and Latino latin X communities continue to be hit hardest. I appreciate now that we are beyond believing that this is a gay disease or something that

just affects gay people. We have a lot of conversation, particularly over the last year, around black women, women of color, latin X women and how they're affected. And what we're really hoping is that three things happen when we take opportunities to cut through the stigma, which I appreciate this is a platform for us to do that. You guys have been really helpful in that regard. The second thing

is to again encourage people to get tested. The thing for this year is National HIV Testing Day is do it in my way, so put on an usher CD, think about what it is that that matters to you most. Some people to get that later. But the point here is that right like some people don't like to drop blood, you can swab your mouth, you can get or quick you can go to the clinic. You can do this at home. Um, there's no reason why you shouldn't know

your status and then get connected to care. And then the last thing that we haven't talked much about here, but I think it's really important is that there are people thriving with HIV. Right. I found myself saying over the last couple of weeks, they may highly visible, very public person of color beyond Magic Johnson who is living with HIV. We don't know. I don't know, but factually that can be. I actually do know some because I've met some people that do come to the juice bid.

They have told me, right, and they look like you can. It doesn't look like they're walking around, you know, struggling. They look just regular, like people are thriving with HIV. Yes, And that's a good thing and a bad thing. And I tell you what, it's a great thing because people are actually thriving with it and being able to live with it. But it's a bad thing because people aren't taking it as serious as they used to because they don't consider it as life. There not all people, right.

So it is also the weekend before the week before World Priday in New York, which is where the celebration isn't for white lg ETQ people and for white people generally, HIV is not really a thing. Right. The rates in those communities are so low, both with regard to transmission and with regard to people who are actually living with HIV that in many ways it's something that they can move past. But that should simply not true for us.

And so it's incredibly important to take advantage of days like this, but also every other day to have conversations to ensure that people get tested and to lift up and support people who are thriving with the virus. How often should people get tested? The CDC recommends every six

months generally. Again, and this is for people who are not in committed monogamous relationships where they don't have to consider things like this, but for people who are in high risk categories, right, black women in particular black men who have sex with men, which is a category of the CDC users, which is problematic because they lump in black trans women who are not men who have sex with men. They recommend that us every three months. I

do it every year when we do our testing events. Interesting, you said that it covers as with two white men and they said they would rather have HIV than herpes, And I was like, where did that come from? Because in their mind they think that herpes is the outbreak and they think that it is visible and you can see it. But with HIV you don't necessarily see it and you can thrive with So both are problematic, right and so and this is why space is like, this

is a really important words matter. We have a Toolkire words Matter HIV that in part highlights this. When HIV was first introduced, people used to talk about it and and and and want us to imagine that it was a virus that was bubbling up in somebody's if I didn't at any point might use onto somebody somebody else. Right, That's also how people walked around thinking it was a death sentence and you could actually identify somebody living with HIV.

The realities that it doesn't work like that, And so we should be mindful of the fact that one who is HIV positive is more susceptible to being effected with other sexually transmitted infections, which is now the terms users, but that there are ways to prevent becoming positive are infected period, right all right, when we appreciate you for joining us and mister David John's across platforms. Also follow NBJC on the move all of the information about natural

HIV testing days on their wild side. Having a Twitter chat this afternoon at two so can find more information. If there are other questions, you can hit us up on there. I appreciate And if you think he's talking fast because he has a flight to catch. Davy Johns is the Breakfast Club Positive notes up next, everybody is DJ Envy Angela Yee, Charlomagne the guy. We all the Breakfast Club again. We got a shout out to Gerard called Michael for joining us this morning. Also David Johns

for stopping through as well. Yes, sir, saluted Gerard called Michael saluted David Johns. Damn. I guess we could say too proud gay men, too proud black. Yeah. Today is also a National HIV Testing Day, so you know you can always find out where you can get tested for free locally, and we just wanted to make sure everyone's aware of that. I get tested every year, me too, not me, I'm married. I docting to the physical every year.

I do it to support other people getting tested. So when you go to the doctor, you don't always have to get a JOV test. They ask you if you want to ask. They don't just do it. They take They take your blood test you for everything. No, don't you if you tell them to do that, I get tested for everything because you telling them to do that. Oh no, I didn't just do it on their own. Now they don't. You have to request it exactly. Talking doctor, he does it own every day. He tests everything. Your

doctor just takes what he wants from you. He does, really he does. What about when you stated I've never been sedated around him? Oh okay, what about your doctor? Uh no, I give my doctor consent and permission to do Has he done a test yet though? Guys, Hello, we're trying to have a discussion about National Prostate Exam. Let me show you how it works. Um no, you're not a professional. All right, Well leave us on a positive note. Oh wait, can I just finish talking about National?

So every single year we do participate by having testing at the Juice Bar in Brooklyn, and I do make sure that I go out there and I get tested right along with y'all. To make sure you come through and go wherever you have to go and get attested. And even if you are like okay, I'm in a committed relationship, it does encourage other people to do the same thing. It's always great to know your status because you never know what can happen. You don't know if

you're committed and the other person isn't well. Charlemagne, leave us on a positive note. Listen, man, let's talk about trauma this morning. All right. Trauma creates change you don't choose, but healing. Healing is about creating change you do choose. Breakfast club petition, you are finish or y'all dumb.
