Episode description

Today on the show it was only right to have Jeezy call in after an intense vs battle between him and Gucci last night. He spoke on the moment where Gucci played his diss record to Jeezy, understanding growth and no falling back into bad patterns and more. Also, we had the new senior advisor to the President elect Cedric Richmond where they spoke about the new position and what to look forward to. Also Charlamagne gave a much needed hee haw to Rudy Giuliani for his embarassing drip of hair dye or maybe it was something else.

It's time. It's time time to wake up, teaching in Angeli and Charlomagne the Doctor to practice club bitches, the voice of the culture. People watch The Reckfas Club for like news to really be tuned in. It's one of my favorite shows to do, just because y'all all wish keeps you one, honey, y'all keep you really. They might not watch the news, but they're on Twitter, they're on Facebook, they're you know, they're listening to the Breakfast Brother gets

your ass. So good morning Usa yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo. Good morning Angeli, Goodna. Cholomagne the guy Pea stood up playing it is Friday. Yeah, this is Friday. Yes, it is Friday weekend, Friday, the friday before our holiday week, Friday before the week go to night after verses, feel like you've been in the club all night? Yes, I definitely feel like you've been.

I took three in the morning party and your ass off. Man. It definitely does hack the ass club, but it was amazing. Versus last date. I give a gim a round of applause. I thought it was great dropping the clues bomb for g Z and Gucci. I think it was great. I mean, they had us waiting about what forty five fifty minutes, but that was cool though those two legends could do that.

I just I just thought it was great. Magic City set up, perfect, perfect, perfect, perfect atmosphere for Magic City s. Stacey Abrams started started the battle, what is that Magic City? A lot of people thought that was awkward. It was a little awkward. Yeah, but I like, I like when the world's collide, you know what I mean, Like I want to see I want I want I want us to start like making those people to starts. People like Stacey Abrams, you know what I'm saying, People like the

Tamika Mallory's of the world. Like, you know, we we even letting the rappers in, the athletes and everybody leave for a long time. I think we need to start using our platforms the shine some light on them. Jesus Christ, she flipped his whole state blue, helped flip the whole one of the people to help flip the whole state blue, and got a new president because of yeah, you know, and we still have elections coming up, so let's not forget that. That's what she was there talking about. That's

the portable people get out there and vote. I like it. I just thought I thought the battle was dope to go going back and forth. The music sounded great. Um, Coucci was being Couci, you gotta love it. Jeezy was being Geez. It was I mean, and there was so many records that they could have played that they didn't play. Both left a lot on a lot on the table.

They both left a lot on the table. The Jez Jesus, Jesus, if you had to go back and forth, I mean, they had so many hits when when they didn't perform the last song together, so I was like, it's over. They still had so many, so many records on the table. But you know, Jez is one of my top seven

favorite rappers of all time. His catalog is amazing, and first two mixtape Screeches, Watching trapa Die, Uh Into the Team one on one, the Inspiration the Recession Team one on three, phenomenal, phenomenal bodies work and they had one point eight million people on Instagram lives. I thought they cracked two at one point the day. I didn't see the cracking it. So these numbers because I know they showed it on like Apple. Also, is that cumulative, it's

just Instagram lives they do. They do the cumulative later, so like like in a couple of days, they'll have all the total numbers. Like I watched on Apple, I don't even watching on the phone. Numbre Apple experience is amazing. You have the crib, You're watching it on TV. You know, it's a real event. I watched it on the phone. I didn't watch it on TV. I just really hope the moment leads to like some real healing for both

Jeez and Gucci. Man, because you say what you want, that's that's a traumatic experience that happened, you know what I'm saying. All the beef that led up to you know what what happened that night, you know, God bless the dead like that? Uh yeah, that was this traumatic experience was bad to be for both of those individuals. Yeah, and you're living with that hurt, you're living with that pain for a long time on both sides. Yeah, and it was some young dumb stuff, you know what I mean?

That caused. Yeah, but somebody's gone because of it. And I just pray to God that you know, what they say least stays right there, that they leave it right there on that stage. And I want them to go on tour together. I think that's what I think. That's what the players. I think the players, they all gonna go on tour when this world opens back up, and I think that would be dope. Yeah, absolutely, if if they get to a real place of healing. I think

Last Name might have been a start. Like I love when I love when Gucci said, thank you for extending the Olive branch, I accept it, you know what I mean, because that that was bigger mister Jenkins Dix than that Olive branch, and it's even bigger for Gucci. They accepted. It's not cool that y'all can be in the same place and do that, but go on tour together. I mean, because that was about the money. Because the money makes a lot of money, probably more money than they ever

made on tour. If those two go would get with each other and add tip and do a trap Trap tour, you know what I mean, The Kings of Trapped or something like that. They don't even have to add Tip. They could just go on their own Gucci and Geez, they don't need any on the to them. The only thing with Tipp is is how do you you know it's Tip open up for them. I wonder about Tip can't open. I wonder about Tips, Tip timp though. I mean, Gucci and Tip got to iron somethings out as well.

I don't think Tip would have handled that as well as I don't think Tip would have handled that as well as Jess. No, I think I think and you gotta give Jez like a round of applause for real, because he was come. Because it could have went any which way, you know. I feel like Jess was prepared, Like I think everybody knew that, you know, one person was going to get disrespectful. I feel like Jez was

prepared for that. Yeah, yeah, but even still, no matter how much you prepare that that was that was harsh last night because it just wasn't the song it was. We'll get more into it that we had a lot going on this morning. You right now, I forgot we got a whole show. Think all right, well, front Page News, what we're talking about, Well, let's talk about Georgia. They have confirmed Biden's victory and after an investigation, no widespread fraud.

Today's bide his birthday too. He's ninety seven years old. Let's go America, one of the founding fathers. It's a breakfast local morning. Everybody is DJ Envy Angela Ye, Charlomagne the guy. We all to breakfast, clubless, get some front page news. Where we start me? Well, let's start with Georgia. They finished their statewide audit of the presidential race and Biden still be Trump by twelve thousand, two hundred and

eighty four votes. They said, Georgia's historic first statewide audit reaffirm that the state's new secure paper ballot voting system accurately counted and reported results. They actually had to confirm everything by today and certify their election results. They said, in all, they were more than fifty eight hundred uncounted votes that were uncovered, which was fourteen hundred were for Donald Trump, who said the discoveries were proof of wrongdoing,

which is wrong. And they said, this is just really accidents caused by human error. It's not indicative of fraud or vote rigging or anything. And they actually account for a certain amount of results that would be the expected margin of human error. Yeah, I mean nobody thought otherwise, right, We all pretty much knew that, you know, Joe Biden

had won Georgia. I just thought it was crazy because Trump was acting like it was a reelection last night and he was tweeting about the gd Gucci battle, like trying to get George on his side. That was wild. But now the Governor of Georgia, Brian camp has until five pm Saturday, to sign the paperwork that officially grants those votes to Biden. Man guard Brian Kimp's family. Okay, Trump might have somebody tied up in a basement from Brian kimpily right now, okay, telling him to make the

right decision, all right, all right. In the United States has reported one hundred and eighty seven thousand, eight hundred and thirty three new coronavirus cases on Thursday. That's the highest one day total since the pandemic began. Wow. So I know everybody's getting ready for the holidays, but they are recommending that you do not travel for Thanksgiving. Yeah, and not only not travel, would not travel, not go

to dinners even locally. They don't want nobody, I think more than six people in the crib with seven people in the house. I know they had shut down New York City public schools. I know if you go to college, if you're in school saying, if you go away for if you go home for Thanksgiving, your might as well stay until January because you got a quarantine for fourteen days and then you know you have your winter recess. So it's a lot going on, so please be safe

out there, said Polo. Schools close in Jersey. My daughter's school is I think they had a case. They did some type of contact tracing and somebody was close to somebody. Your daughter school? Yo, No, no, my mocat school still open? All right? Well that is front page news. Get it off your chest eight on drink five eight five one on five one. Let's talk. Did you see the battle last night? What were your thoughts? You got things to get off your chest? You feel good? You want to

send some positivity around whatever it may be. Call us up as the Breakfast Club. Good morning, the Breakfast Club, Wake up, wake up. You're time to get it off your chest. Is it your man or blessed? We want to hear from you on the Breakfast Club. Hello, who's this yo me drilling man and traff and what's up, bro, get it off your chest. Hey, I just wanted to like really congratulate those two young brothers last night on

that beat that they cancel. Man. I love seeing that, And I just wish my little cousin and died he loved easy and Booty. I wish you could have seen that beat. Same love the debate that all the time loves better. So, yeah, I don't think people understand how monumental that was last night, because I think a lot of people really truly don't know the history of either one of them brothers, you know, especially if you didn't

come up, if you weren't down south. But what last what we saw last night was extremely monumental, and I really hope it leaves it some real healing between both of them. Absolutely need it. And I just hope that the younger, the young generation and just watch that and model that and just see that. Like man, it's it's a brighter light at the end of the tunnel. He just making their each beat to work together. Yeah, bro,

writ egether? You know who do you think? One though, Let's get to some let's get to some man works stuff. Who do you think oneasy? I gotta say it was close. It was close when Jez played the information something. So it was like ten o'clock. Everybody in the house sleeping girl. You know, I yelled out loud, shout hey, I love y'all. Thanks for killing that be right, you know, thank you, brother. I mean I could see them. I mean they both have marketing minds, and I could both see them going

on tour. I could see them doing a mixtape for an album to set up that at that tour. You gotta add tip though, And the reason you gotta add tip is, you know, even though half of the black population is down shot, like, you want to take that tour more than just the South right. But I mean no, I mean, they could do that tour anywhere. But the problem with hohen, y'all don't even know how the records. I know all of GZ records, and I know you. I know you said she didn't know a lot of them,

but I know most of records. But where do you put tipping that category? Chip can't open up for t I and easy, I mean who either, None of them can open up for each but they can go back and forth and so on. So on they do is icy. That would be dope. They can do the best of all traps. But you can't do that. I can't open up. I got to close that. Well. You keep saying I gotta open I said he can't. They can switch nights, the can do different nights. I don't know, Jeez, come

out first one night, Gucci, they can rotate. I don't know. Hello, who's this Marning? And this is Keiana Colla from eastern Pennsylvania, chest Um. I just wanted to talk about the battle a little bit um for me. I think it started off amazing. You could tell that uh Jeez was in his element. He was cool, calm, collective. You can tell by Gucci he was like uh on edge from start. He didn't sit down at one time. I think I just think that's him. No, I don't, I don't, I don't.

I don't think so. I think he came to came for the max when he hit a lot of belt when he played that song, I was real below the belt and Gez school his but and let him know what it was like if you want to come up here here and accept my olive branch, like, don't do me like that. And I think that was uncalled for on his part. He did not have to play that that that song was disrespectful. I think he's still dealing. I think he's still I mean he's dealing with a

lot of trauma. Who want no, don't hang up on I want to know what you think one she said, Gez already, she said it started off nice, you know what, but it's funny you read tmc TMZ's caption is just the funniest thing we Gucci main went there. He played truth his infamous distrack boasting, I don't hear from the white people about that hit your man names and walk away from our culture right now today. We don't want to hear nothing y'all got to say about us today,

white people. Okay. Gez admittedly immediately stood up, but instead of charging at Gucci a threatening violence, he hit back with the speech about why they would do it. It's just it's just funny. It's Helen. The white person wrote that right about this. I know a white person wrote that, get it off your chest eight hundred five eight five one five one. Get it off your chess is the

breakfast club, good boarding breakfast club. This is your time to get it off your chest, whether you're man or blast so so you better have the same industry we want to hear from you on the breakfast club. Hello, who's this the morning, Charlot Maagne, This is Yatty, Good morning, So how are you? Are you calling from from Orlando? Hey, what's happening? Well, I just wanted to say good morning. I wanted to give a huge shout out to my

boyfriend Hallen, who's working right now. He's a hard working man. He treats me like a queen, treat me better than man that I've ever had before, And just wanted to say hi to you guys. Um I called. I tried calling in yesterday and I tried emailing the BC of BC change for at gmail dot com. It was a website, it wasn't an email. Yeah, I miss I'm missing her. I misheard, uh the announcement on the radio. So I missed my shot. But it's all right, okay, true. Indeed,

did you watch the versus last night? I did not. I was working too late. Okay, Yeah, but I hope you guys have a wonderful day, great weekend. Mama, Thank you so much. I bless y'all. I feel like pup to say, let's put one hundred dollars in your cash. Episode sound like you're looking for definitely, but she's hello, who's this? You Moon from West Philly? Man, West Moon? What's up? Y'all? Get it off your chest? Yo. I just want to say, man, I made it through the

work week. Yeah, I mean I'm here at work now. And I also want to just you know what I mean, sit back and reflect like I've really been blessed during this pandemic. I mean I kept my job. I mean I started my own clothing line off this joint. So I just point everybody. I mean, whatever y'all going through, man, keep y'all head up. And also I would like to plug my My ig for my clothing line is called

two our more. It's French for all love and um it's two our more clothing t ou t A m O U R C l O t hr n G. Yeah. I mean y'all go check that out please, And y'all just keep y'all head up. Man, be safe about this drink. And Charlotte, man, you boy for real, for real, y'all, I don't know what that means. I mean, I know in Philly didn't say bold. I've never heard nobody saying like, yeah, no, you boy mean like you the boy. Yeah, I mean

you're that boy. You that we appreciate that. I mean, I like I like being that boll Thank you, my John. So did I say that? Right? Thank you John? Get it off your chest, my John, like my g one oh five boy here my John. All right, we got rumors on the way. Yes, we are gonna dispel some rumors that we're floating around, and that is about Boosey. And also we'll be talking about Nelly and dancing with the stars. Uh, he's doing some big things there. But we'll tell you what he has on the table next.

And also Jeez will be joining us this morning. We're gonna kick it with Gez. Were gonna talk to Gez after last night's versus battle. I don't believe project out right now. I don't believe it. Now he's on the line. Oh yes, yeah, we're gonna talk to my mom. It's the Breakfast Club, Go morning, the Breakfast Club. It's about, is the rumor report Angela Yee on the Breakfast Club. Well, despite the rumors, Boosey is not getting his foot amputated

after shooting getting shot in the leg. Surgeons didn't remove his foot, so people were saying that he was supposed to get his lag amputated, all kinds of issues, but it's not true. That's good drop on a clue bumfil Gucci because he's diabetic, so you know, things like that can go go back one situations like that happens. Happened. They said, yeah, they did have to get together a diet to make sure he would be fine while under anesthesia. He ended up taking twenty four hours to decide if

he even wanted the procedures done. So fake news. His leg is not amputated all right now. I don't know if you'll have been watching Nelly on Dancing with the Stars, but you know he got a perfect score from the judges the other night, right, I didn't see the last one with Nelly? What do you have to dance to? Um?

What's time? Trying to remember what he was dancing to? Man, I don't remember, but this because this was on Monday and he got a perfect score, and um, he's actually going to be going into the final round like we told you previously. But after all of that, he'll be acting again. He'll be starring as rock and roll pioneer Chuck Barry in the upcoming Buddy Holly biopic. O Nelly definitely has Chuck Burry from Saint Louis, right, what if he can pull it off? Though? Can Nelly act? I've

never did a movie before. Yeah, he's actually before. Well we know he can dance, now, I haven't seen him. Chu, Chuck Burry. That's a hell of a role they have to play. But I mean they both from Saint Louis. Phone, I'm mistaken, so all right. Neo and Crystal detailed their marriage proposal that almost did not work out the way they anticipated. Now, Neo had asked one of Crystal's friends for some help, and she was going to bring the ring to him. And here's what he had to say

on ot these behind every Man. It was a homegirl of hers that knew the jeweler that I got the rings from. So her homegirls like, I'll come and get the ring teeth. She won't see me, she won't know. So she shows up, but she knocks on the door. So I entered the door. And it's an acquaintance, mind you. She lives in Texas. We were in Florida. I was like, so you took a flight all the way from Texas And how did you get upstairs? Oh? Your man got me on the room or whatever, and I have a

room one on your floor. Pump your brakes. Listen, man, you gotta put a lot of thought into that proposal. My brothers, you know what I'm saying. That proposal means something. You know, Well, imagine some strange women, well not strange, but your friend shows up to where you are and you opened the door. This is what happened when Crystal opened the door. Here's what she had to say. So it turned into okay, wait a minute, you here for him? Wait what? Okay, what the hell is this? How when

did when did y'all exchange numbers? And what the and see the temperature rising rising rising, like oh down? Uh no, she just she she was gonna. I don't lie well under pressure at all. And at that point I was full of adrenaline so and was about to get physical. He kind of just intervened and like God's knee and just proposed with the ring and I was like, well, damn, you could at least let me get my was done.

I mean, least he thought it through. Are you trying to play something right where he tried shouldn't have had her show up to the house because then Crystal opened the door and I was like, why is my friend here? Yeah, and was ready to fight because it looks suspicious. Oh that's even better though, because you got and you got that extreme high of I'm after this girl, I'm here because he's proposing to you. Then you're like, oh, you know it's a good move, right, Well I did work

out clearly then. All right, Well, I'm Angela Yee and that is your room of report. All right, now, keep a lock. When we come back. We got front page news. What are we talking about. Ye, we'll talk about Apple. They're gonna be paying one hundred and thirteen million dollars and we'll tell you why. All right, we'll get into that next. Keep a lock. This to Breakfast Club. Good morning, Hey, hey morning. Everybody is DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlomagne the guy.

We are to Breakfast Club now. Jeezy will be checking in in about five minutes straight off versus, so we're gonna be kicking it with Jeez. But right now, let's getting some front page news. Where we're starting you, Well, let's start with Apple. They have agreed to pay one hundred and thirteen million dollars to thirty four states. And that's because they would deliberately slow down older iPhones to

extend their battery life. So now after an investigation, an Apple wasn't transparent about their battery problems and then they were unexpected to use shut down. Why to give it to the state to note the people? I think that you have to um. You ever get those notices in the mail where they're like, you can claim this money a class action lawsuits attention, But it'd be like a dollar. You get a dollar or ninety nine cents or two dollars and three cents be so low? Boy, Well better

cash in. I'm a cash in on that dollar, all right now. Managers at a Tyson meat plant, this is discussing they had a betting pool on how many of the workers would end up getting a coronavirus, according to a lawsuit, so the most managers at the Waterloo facility, they started avoiding the plant floor because they were scared they would get the virus. This was back in late

March or early April. And then while the virus was spreading on the meat packing floor, managers gave their duties to low level supervisors who had no management training, no experience, and then, according to this suit, the allegation is that the supervisors also canceled safety meetings, and then after learning about positive cases in the plant, they told other supervisors to deny that these cases existed, according to this lawsuit, and all at the same time, they were taking bets

on how many people would get sick. That's crazy. And then they had a cash buy in winner take all betting pool for supervisors and managers to wager how many employees would test positive. How awful is that? That's crazy? What was the point? Like what led to that? Like? Like what led to I'm saying, you know what, let's bet on how many people get sick? Stupid? Humans are humans? Boy, I'm about to say nig's going nigg, But you know, I keep telling y'all the N word ain't just about color,

all right? Define Nick thought right there? Yeah, I just can't believe that these are people's lives that we're talking about here. Humans are strange individuals, all right. And we know the holidays are coming up next week, and I do want to tell you guys, the cases of coronavirus. Again. We have had a record number one hundred and eighty seven thousand in a single day, so that is the highest SURS that we've had thus far since the pandemic began. So they are saying, do not travel if you don't

have to. We just are advising against that. So I was planning to go away and I think I'm just not going to now because we'll be stuck. Yeah, keep well, no, you just got to keep it safe, all right. Well that is your front page news, all right, thank you, miss ye. Now, when we come back, Jeezy will be joining us. Jay Jenkins straight off of his Versus battle last night, new projects, straight from the Club that Cometown

last night's new album Recession too. So we're gonna talk to Jeez when we come back, right, So don't move. It's the Breakfast Club, The Morning, The Breakfast Club. You're checking out the world's most dangerous morning show. Morning. Everybody is DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlemagne the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. We got a special guest on the line right now, just finished the versus, just finished it being in the club last night, and now he's up

with us. Jeezy Big Snow. The money, Yeah, Big Snow, how do you How do you feel this morning, Big Snow? I mean, I'm just really just you know, a lot went on last night as far as you know, just the album coming out, definitely versus and just running around just doing promos. So I ain't even I ain't came

to Grips with nothing years altogether, it's like a blur. Baby, did you have a plan because you knew you knew what records he was gonna play, or you could assuming what records he was gonna play, So what was the plan? I'm in. The plan was how I felt, you know, I my my my my songs or my life. So you know that's where anybody you know, I'm quite sure you know any artists feel that way. But like for me, like I know what I put my blood, sweating tears

and then my music. So I could have played any songs like that wasn't the case, but it was just how I was gonna feel when when to see what type of emotions, um any of these records brought back up that either one of us play, you know what

I'm saying. So it was more of a mental thing for me, you know, And and it took a lot for me mentally because I'm in a place in my career where like I am from the streets, you know what I'm saying, and I have done and said a lot of things, and um, I just had to make a decision, like, you know, either it's gonna be about what I see going on or high I can how I can contribute to Then people understand like it's bigger

than us. You know. The goal wasn't to get rich to take you know, just for all the things you see, you know, what's going on world Day, Like that Vaughn thing really touched me. I did you know, I know, I know dirt well, you know, I was actually proud of them and it's just like it was surreal to get that call them kids, man, them babies, you know what I'm saying, Like and they ain't got to be

that way, you know what I'm saying. So it was a lot of that And what happened to um m O three, what happened to Boosting At the time, It's like it was it was a crazy weekend. You just watching all these things happening. You're just like, damn, you know, you know, it's just real you know what I'm saying,

And it's just like it's an unselfish moment. You know, it's it's like a catch twenty two because you have some people like yo, man, you could have put it like dog like I don't know to tell you like I'm rich. You know what I'm saying. I'm grown and I want to see everybody. I want to see all y'all live to make it to beat at a position like myself. So I'm not gonna take you nothing different. So it was that you know it was real, bro, because you know it could have you could have walked

away and it could have been all bad. You know what I'm saying. And like my legacy on my people. Let mean, let me tell you something. I'm proud of you. I'm glad you didn't leave with ego last night. You didn't move off of motion. You moved with strategy, and like you just said, you made a conscious decision to leave the to the side. Do you think last night will lead to a real moment of healing between you

and Gucci? I do because as men, you know what I'm saying, God saying it's been going on almost a decade. It was two decades, and there was a point where we when you know, we we was you know, we we were cool, you know what I'm saying. And I just think everybody got in the middle of us and you know, not to say what happened or trying to you know, the reals went on like that's just something me and him gonna have to you know, figure out

later on. But for for y'all, it's just like, you know, I understand that the more and more and more and more it goes on, the worst is gonna be because we like the forefront of us. So if anybody behind us think that's the way to go. So it was like for me, it's just like, you know, we just got to see you know, down heels all, you know, but that was that was that was the effort. This is like it's front of the world, like you know what I'm saying, It ain't even for so you know,

it's real life. It's just like, you know, we both got to come to grist with that, you know what I'm saying, Like we both got to really be men, bring on the core. How it happened. I know you you know, you came on a breakfast lubl a week ago, and you said, you know, the first battle was supposed to you know, you reached out to Gucci, Switch reached out to Gucci and he respectfully declined, and then it was supposed to be the TI So when did things change?

How did that happen? I mean, I mean, to be honest with you, Like from what I hear, he did respectfully to decline, which I respect. You know what I'm saying, No, no dispect, And you know, I guess he looked at it the way I looked at it, just like yo, bro, like there ain't nobody else they want to see us with and for once, at least mentally, it can be about the music and too, you know, instead of it just being me and him and our personal feelings. Is like,

now you got the world watching. So I feel like as a man, I wasn't gonna, you know, not do it because of what happened, because that's what the platform is for, you know what I'm saying. It's like, you know, you get the referee it and and the people because because look how big that was. And I didn't realize it until me way, but look how big because it was more so like, yo, we're gonna have to sit in the same room. It's got to happen. And and look how big what we started twenty years ago, fifteen

years ago, how big it got to. It's almost like the whole world had to sit us down and be like, Okay, so what y'all gonna do? You know what I'm saying. And that wasn't the first time you and Gucci tried to reconcile over the years, though, all right, right right, I mean we I mean, you know, it's always got to that point we you know what I'm saying, like tried,

you know what I mean. But it's just like responsibility now, it's like if you go back on your word, it ain't just mean you know somebody you know who's trying to figure it out. Is the whole world so me and it's just like we look crazy. Either we're gonna leave it where it's that and that's the whole thing,

Like we're gonna leave it here in Magic City. I chose Magic City because it was it was legendary for me, you know, rest the piece of DJ Nando, Like my whole career was broke there when I was going there, spending my money and doing the things I was doing to get my career up. It started there, you know, and a lot of the things that happened with us started there, you know what I'm saying. So it was

almost like, we're gonna go in this building. It's mutual is we both know what it is, and we're gonna walk in. It's men, and we can walk out as men or not, you know what I'm saying, Him and my choices walk out as a man. And I feel like at the end of it, you know, that was the choice on both sides. Now, there were some disrespectful moments, so I wanted to ask you what was going on through your head and how did you maintain your composure? But hold on, Jesus, let's answer that when we come back.

Eight hundred five eight five one oh five one. Jeez is here album out right now, straight off of versus, So we'll talk to him when we come back. It's the Breakfast Club, Good morning morning. Everybody is DJ Envy and Jela Yee, Charlomagne, the guy we all the Breakfast Club was still kicking it with Jeez. He's here straight

off of verses. Last night. Now, you you had a question, you yeah, so Jeez, I was asking there was some disres backful moments, and I wanted to know what was going on through your head and how you maintain your composure. I looked at it like, um, you know, we need

sixth graders, you know, like we're not a kid. Like, can't antagonize me with something that, um that we both understand, you know, because because I'm not in the same mental space as I was twenty years ago, and I nor can I let you take me there, you know what I'm saying like that that would have been the biggest upset in my life because I have self control. I'm very self aware, and it's just like hold up, man like, and that was the case, we might we not even

came here, you know what I'm saying. So in my mind, I didn't feel nowhere about it because I've already heard the songs. I know already know what the situation. People may think of the situation, and you know that as well. So you can't antagonize me with that, you know, live and think that you're going to get a response because I'm not that same person I was years ago when

that's how things got out of spirted out of control. Anyway, it's like I've practiced, I've done it, and anybody know anything about me, like Sharlomagne, you know, like I've took the last ten years to better myself because of a lot of things that happened in my life, and I just promised myself I would never put myself on those positions again, because when you react and somebody gets you off your square and you acting out of anger or um,

you acting out of anxiety, it's normally not the right decision. And I like, I'm from the gutter, Like listen to tell you something that I'm from the gutter. Every day I fought, you know, I've worked, I've grinded, I've did everything, yeah to get my people and myself you know, out of that. And I can't let my anger take me back there. So for me, it was more so like it was a moment of truth for met anger front and it got a little really it was a lot

in and be who you are. You gotta be somebody you never you know became, and just be like yo, man, at this point, I like, you know, we we I can't even do that with you. So I'm gonna be I'm gonna be there. I'm gonna be the the mature person in this situation, say dog like, I'm not gonna go back and forth with you in front of the world about something that we could have talked about in

our personal space and worked out. So it was a hard decision, like I came front like it was like one of those things like damn man like, and I don't do disrespect easy. But it's just like for for for them kids, and I'm seeing dying and for these mamas and you know, for for this to be happening, and you know, and and and you're watching. It's like they don't even care, you know what I'm saying. So it's like I got at least care and that that was mysition, Like I care about them more and I

care about how people are gonna look at me. This is decision I had to make. I had to take the disrespect to be like yo, man, listen and just draw the line there. But but yeah, I believe you in Guccie still got trauma from that whole situation. Have you ever put yourself in Gucci shoes? Though, Like you have to know why he feels the way he feels.

I mean, I mean not to you know, because street code Street athletics that you know what I'm saying, So not to get into it because it's still a lot there and his friend, Um, that's the conversation, like, that's that's where it gets real grown man at and I'm not opposed to that at this point. I'm not apposed any of that. Congratulations y'all, y'all, y'all broke a record

last night. I mean only to him talking about he said, you're not opposed to what I've been having that conversation to see, you know, to see how his his whole take on you know, he just even the change of events was you know what I'm saying, because it's been times where I'm quite sure he probably felt you know, like you know, you just never know you know, everybody, you know, it was tense I'm saying throughout these years. So like no, like I'm quite sure you don't know

how I look at it, you know. So that's a real conversation we gotta have as men. Now, I was gonna ask last night y'all had the after party. Did y'all go to both of y'all go to the after party? Were all in the section where you'll have different sections, What was the conversation after verses, when y'll pieced it up that you have a conversation after all, was it just we don't have to say anything. You know what it is. I mean it was you know, a party.

It was Atlanta. Man, you can't you know how it is. I mean I had to get out. I stayed with you know, I ain't see enough mask for me. I'm like, my god, I keep paranoid, like you see it in the air, you know. Um, but no, it was it was crazy. So it wasn't that And just so y'all know, like you know, just just out of being a real when I to be a solid person, like I can't speak on something that happened, Um, you know almost eight hours ago with clarity that I haven't said, sat down

and really thought about. So I don't want to say nothing. You know what I'm saying that ain't ain't real. You know what I'm saying. I just gotta get clarity for myself because I got to play that out how it played out for me too as well. I just got a couple more questions about that situation. Do you regret anything you said on stage? Scrapped? I gotta be be honest with you, like something man like I came to

rest with that so long ago. Bro, I don't even like I don't even listen to you know what I mean. Like to me, it's like obviously I felt like that one day I did, you know, but that was fifteen years ago. You know, you know what I'm saying. It's just like, you know, I wrote a long a lot of songs fifteen years ago. I ain't thinking about that, you know. And jeez, how much real estate do you own in Atlanta? A lot? A lot, A lot? You know,

A lot? Yeah, you know, the top. I'm probably one of the top, if not the top, um, I know, especially for what I do that owns real estate, uh, downtown, midtown, um, you know, throughout Atlanta. Like that's a big thing for me. A lot of people don't know that because it's quiet for me. But but I've been on it. You know, I owned city blocks, you know, you name it. You know. Um, it's crazy. But that's that's like I said again, you know, that's that's who I am as a person, Like I'm

into things like that. I just don't talk about them all the time. So you just gotta be from that world. To know, so you know like that, you know, jeez, you know real estate. I mean, we have those conversations. But when you said that last night, it was like, you know, our own Aflanta. I just, I just I thought it was funny. Yeah, but I mean, I mean I was getting real though. Was Hey man, you know I don't I don't have twenty changs. I ain't had time to buy stuff like that, and it's hard taking

them things off. But I tell you, you know, when it comes to those houses and those visits and those duplexes, I mean, we can get it too that you know all day love it. You know. The only person I probably you know, me and Emmy need to get in there and go back and forth. You know what I'm saying, anytime you want to do it. And I got it. I got a couple of schools. I'm ready. You know you got a song on the new album Recession Too

called Nigga. Yeah. I'm gonna ask you a really foolish question because I know the answer, But what inspired that record? Hold on, hold on, come, let's get right now. But I would have walked in there last night. They've been all bad to the song. Jeez, you can't play this record? Why not we not play right? I got the clean version we're gonna play, ain't gonna play it right now? It's the Breakfast Club. Good Morning Angela Ye, Charlomagne the guy we are the Breakfast Club. That was Jeez song

my new album, The Recession. Uh. You know it's crazy. When I first heard the beat, I just automatically thought of school days and I thought, leading to the video, he didn't pick up the phones like coffee man, you know what I'm saying. I know you're out there popping bottle celebrate Joe Biden, but you need to get it to dog. I just personally feel like it's and it's that's the crazy thing, bro Like, as a black man and somebody who's been in all those situations, always just

strive to be better. Not to say I can't be me, but there's just certain things that you do that you know what kind of tendencies those are, and it's okay, But that don't mean you gotta be that way all the time. And that's why a lot of us don't get invited into the right wounds, or the right functions, or or or or the right things because we all we don't know how to turn it off. And my thing is, you know, at some point you gotta have balance with it. And that's okay, you know what I'm saying.

You can't just be one way. So the things that I'm mentioning on the song is basically the things you do when you in that molde. So just when it's something you're like, oh, that's me you're doing. You know what I'm saying. Did you really go to Popeyes and all the legs and they gave you all thiyes? Now do that all the time? Like that, go mad to be about your job? Dog, I get it, you know

what I'm saying. But it's those things. But it just reminds you of you know, what we do um as a coaches just because we feel like it's okay and it's the easy way. So and no disrespect to you know, my people, but it's just like some of it. You know, you gotta be able to grow out of it, you know what I mean. Keep a little bit, but grow out of it, because you can't. You know, you've been somewhere, you've been out and they walk in and you see, like, man,

I'm saying, because you already might fiece some problems. I've been that person before. When I walked in the building, everybody was tense, you know what I mean. It's just like I didn't know how to show, you know, envy. I showed the functions a hundred people with me. It don't take that to come to an event, you know what I'm saying. It don't take you know, Like I mean,

you know, somebody invite me to a nice dinner. You know I can't, you know, a nice dinner and it's it's intimate and I'm I'm busting down blunts and leaving them on the table. He wrote him a week or have conversation. You know. It's just certain things you got. You gotta have etiquette, right, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, now let's talk about therapy for my soul. Yeah, let's talk about that record. Is there anything else to talk about it? In the record? I felt like I said enough,

you know what I'm saying. But it's one of those things like you know what I mean. Charlemagne talked about up man, like even with this this situation with with with with Gucci, like I just wanted to clear the air. Man. I'm just tired of walking around with all the baggage. Man, and it's mystique and it's this um, these these storylines that everybody think they know. And I'm a man of integrity, man like I just can't deal like and I did it for two decades, but I just can't deal with

the false narratives. You know what I'm saying, because you're right, I see things the way I see it, and sometimes you know, I could be in the wrong and other times I might not. But if you're not gonna sit down and have a conversation with me about it so we can work it out and figure it out, then

we're not communicating. So when I'm hearing and doing all these things and I'm minding my business and trying to build my empower for my my loved ones and my employees and the people that's in my circle and all these things going on, it cuts deep when you have integrity. So you have to just keep it because I've been type. I've been quiet my whole career, So I mean, you know that, and that's what I feel like. That was

the problem. I talk to nobody about nothing. So even when me and Charlomagne was talking, he was telling me about what therapy does. I can't talk to nobody about this. And the next thing was you just write it down because I heard that helps. I just got my path and I just started writing down how I felt and why I feelt like this thing goes the way it should have went. And then and before I knew what, I had a song, and when I recorded it, I

felt better. And then when the world got it, I don't know, I woke up and I just felt lighter man like, like, I mean, that's that's my truth. I'm done, Like I don't got nothing else to say about nothing. It was what it is. I said what I said, And normally when you go sit down and talk to your therapist, they don't call you when you leave and be like, yeah, you remember you were talking that about that.

It's like it's just like I felt like the world was my therapist and I just everything I had, everything that was in me that I felt there was like a blockage or a weight. I just said, Yo, this is it. You know what I'm saying. I'm done, Like I don't even want to talk about this normal. I don't want get into it no more. I know everybody gonna have things to say, but it's like I'm done, I'm grown. If you want to see me like it is what it is. But that's how I feel. That's

the wild thing about healing. The healing is funny. Man. Some days you're gonna feel like that, and then some days you're gonna feel like them same. You know, eternal wounds are still hurting you. It's crazy because you know,

trauma is real. That's right, it's a real thing. And a lot of things in my life to having, you know, I to be honest with you, I started feeling like all these things with blocking people around me I love from their blessing even to me being vulnerable and open and honest because I've been guarded so long, you know

what I'm because I've been spurned so many times. And it's just like I don't want to do things to people that I know I could and should do because I feel like they're gonna burn me at some point, because that's been the history of it. And I'm like, until I get these things off me, I'm gonna block people they blessings that really love me and really want to see the best or really want me to be my best. You know what, I'm saying because I'm guarded and it's just like no, man, just put it in

the air. Get that calm off. You know, let's start new, let's start fresh. We got a old change and let's roll. You know, man, I think the best of the best of you have to come for you and Gucci man, because you know there's no time standp on trauma. But like like when you when he said last night, I'm happy you extended the Olive branch, and I accepted. I was like, man and brothers about to really get I

think to a good place. Could y'all see could you see yourself doing more business going on tall album mixtape. I'm gonna tell you how far we came. And this is where my egos side ain't got none. Like I said, We've had situations where I came in that club. He came in that club back in the day. Everybody was tense and all this was going on bro like at a real time. But for but for me to hear him say on the stage that you extended the Olive branch.

Let me know where we're headed, I would have never thought in the million years I would have heard that type of verbs out of his mouth as a city about where we are. You extended the Olive brands. Think about that. Man, he accepted, he said, he said, you extended. I accepted. Yeah, look at the already and that he's

saying Olive he understands that. But look look how many times we went on in the world to come back when we started to say, you know what I've seen that you know what I'm saying, And I was like, damn, I mean what could you say? Even for you know, the people that support us. It's like it's like divided side. People like I'm gonna keep it real, like if I'm if if my mind is like yeah, that's first I murdered. I see it was in a while and be like, hey,

I ain't cool. Actually sound good? You know doculent ice again and uh it was just good man, you know, like you know if if a mon is it was, it was good. The DJ's okay with each other now they was all that last night just to see how somebody else's you know, running disagreements can make other people around you act, even even in the in the in in the hip hop culture of what we do you know what I mean, DJs, they probably didn't even play my music because they felt like they rock with him.

How many artists who really love what I do wouldn't even come rock with me because they it's a line, right, Well, you mess it with everybody's money, You messed with everybody's legacy. And it's all because of how two individuals feel about each other. So you're drawing a line. And one thing I can say, and I'm not trying to be Malcolm X and mar Luther King up here, but listen, man, I've seen people from Harvard and Yale get money together.

I've seen people from IBM and Apple get money together. Bro. At the end of the day, it's about taking care your family, living long enough to spend some of this money, man, going to see the world, going to do the things that you dreamed of doing, and nothing else really matter, you know what I'm saying, taking care your family, like everything else in between his noise. And you know, if me and if me and me and broken get passed, take that first step past that. That's a big example

for everybody out here. Like you know, whether you're at with it, you know if it if it's some way to figure it out, you might want to try that because just think about how much music has been left on the table, how many celebrations you know what I mean, like how many tours that didn't happen because people wanted him on a tour? And then I want to me you know, I mean, just it's weird, bro, you know what I'm saying. And we're grown. I mean, come on

with ten years, I'll be you feel me. We appreciate you, guys. Man that the personal last night was was amazing. The album Recession too was out right. Now make sure you'll go stream and then and like I said, I hope this leads is in real healing between you and Gucci. Man, it's sloth to everybody, sut to Larry Jackson and Pee

and everybody who assisted. Let me say that to me together every p so solo, Larry Jackson, everybody that was you know, working behind the scenes to to to you know, make amends a look man, you know, maturity though, Like it's a step in the right direction, like let's see, let's see where it leads is. I'm optimistic, you know,

and and and you know I truly believe that. And let me say that because as I said, I wouldn't talk about this until I get praise, but I feel like God made everything come full circle for them, even you know, having Swissdom to create that platform and us to be able to use it to bring you know, our culture and our people together and say, hey, look this is bigger than us and we're gonna show you that. So, you know, thanks to God for even bringing that back

full circle. Y shout the Swiss, shout the Timberland man that that platform is amazing and thank you guys. We appreciate you. Jez all right, so love, all right, it's the Breakfast Club. Good morning, rumors on the way after World's Thanks. Want to show the Breakfast Club Charlomagne and God. Angela Ye dj Envious Friday, damn it and it's time for Rumor Report. Angela Ye is talking about the Fresh Prince. Why am I screaming? She's filling the team. This is

the Rumor Report with Angela Yee on the Breakfast Club. Well, the Fresh Prince of Balaire. The reunion special was on HBO Max. It was filmed on their original set, Wilson Listen, everybody was it? Did y'all watch it? I did? I watched it yesterday. Actually, I was my pre game before

the verses. Now, one thing that everybody was talking about was Janet Hubert and Will Smith back together again, and they finally had that conversation that they've never had about the friction and how afterwards she was labeled difficult and couldn't get work. Here's what she had to say about the set being hard for her during that third season when I got pregnant, there was a lot of things going on in my life and then Will's wife as well.

There was some friction because I was pregnant. Home life was not good at all. The cast had no idea what was going on. You know, during that time of her pregnancy. I wasn't sensitive. You know, now that I've had three kids, I learned some things that I did not know at the time, and I would do things very differently. But I can see where I made the

set very difficult for Janet. Man. That's why you gotta allow people to grow, and you gotta allow people to evolve, and you can't take things personal when it comes to other people because you don't know that people other people are going through. Yeah, calling her difficult, but she's having problems at home, she's pregnant, like she had a lot going on. I mean on both sides, But like she said during it, I mean, it's you know, she was kind of blackball because of him saying that that she

was difficult and she couldn't get other work. She couldn't get other jobs. I wonder if she ever sued for that, if she sued the show back then, I had a lot of countries after watching that. I wonder how her relationship was with James everyone he passed away. Let's think about that. You holding a grudge against everybody because they did you wrong, right, but then he passes you know what I mean. I wonder how she felt about that, right, And you know they had had reunions many times, she

just never was involved in them. So although the cast came back together. Now she also talks about people thinking that she was fired. Here's what really happened. They offered me this really bad deal in the third season. They said, you've got two months and two weeks off work and you cannot work any where else. I did not accept their offer. I was never fired, so they said, okay, then we're gonna recast your role. When I left the show, I had this new baby, and no one family disowned me.

Hollywood disowned me. My family said, you've ruined our name. And I wasn't unprofessional on the set. I just stopped talking to everybody because I didn't know who to trust because I had been banished, and they said it was you who banished me. Wow, imagine that that's an entanglement, all right? Well? Will Smith also says, you know, he was only twenty one years old at the time, and he had his own issues. Here's what he said. I was twenty one years old. Yeah, everything was a threat

to me. Why was I not you? The world? I was so driven by fear and jokes and comedy. Yeah you were. You were alive. Which what you didn't realize either, that I was going through a lot at home, very abusive marriage. I can see now the level of pain and the level of struggle that it was for you just to show up every day. But you took all that away from me. And I appreciated that conversation. But now how you gonna make it right? Will? Okay, you got a tone for that situation. You got the reboot

of The Fresh Prints coming on HBO Max. It's more of a dramatic themed version. How about put on viv In the role of viv would makes sense to me. Right all right, Well, here is what Janet Hubert had to say about just the narrative of her being difficult and also being a dark skinned woman in this business.

I lost that wything, and I understand you were able to move forward, but you know those words, calling a black woman difficult in Hollywood is the kiss of death, and it's hard enough in a dark skinned black woman in this business. But I felt it was necessary for us to finally move forward. And I'm sorry that I am blasted you pieces. When I looked back now, it's obvious that you were having a hard time and I felt like you hated me. I could not do a

thirty year celebration and not celebrate you. It's a part of me, it's a part of me that hates seeing people heal in real time because I feel like that should be like a private thing, but it's such a good thing for them to do it publicly because and inspire other people to heal too, absolutely, you know. So Yeah, like I said, I hope that you know, they really they get to a real place of healing, and I hope will pay it forward, you know what I mean? I hope you can atone for that. He's in the

position to do it. Put Janet Hubert as the mom and the reboot to the Fresh French. I love the dramatic version seeing the Gucci and Jeezy last night. I just love seeing people, you know, being man putting the ego to the side and do what they gotta do. And especially being a Janet Hubert has not aged at all, by the way, absolutely not even a little bit. She could come right back down them stairs and replay that role. Reprobably that right now. That was like the fresh prince

of Red Table talk. It felt like right that conversation, Oh, that was way deeper than that red table talk. To these it seemed very honest. No I'm talking about I'm thinking about the conversation between Will and Jada when they did the entangling thing that right there, that him and Janet did. It was just it was so honest and so pure. It was just it was not Her life was basically, I don't want to say ruined, but her career,

her career was all right. Now, Monique, I guess was watching this while all this was happening, and she wants an apology and from Will. No, she was an apology from Tyler Perry. By the way, she posted hats off to Will Smith apologizing for what he did to Janet Hubert's Everybody's on big career life when he was young. Perhaps Tyler Perry, who was admitted in private that he was wrong, will follow suit and be man enough to apologize in public like he promised. Will work on Oprah

and lions Gate a little later. Ps, Tyler, you want to eat people's choice to work for being a people's champ for your body of work. Tell the truth about a woman named Monique who did nothing wrong and being champion for the individuals who supported your career for years, the black women, and then she did it. Please swipe to hear Tyler Perry say it with his own words. I have, like I told you before, I have heard people say that Monique absolutely was done wrong by them.

So if they if they all her an apology, they should get her an apology. Man, everybody deserves healing. I want everybody to get the healing they deserve. Okay, all right, well that is your rumor report. I'm angela ye. Peace of mind is what we all should be after piece of mind envy. But I don't know you're looking at me, stupid, look at you thinking of a piece of something that's not mine? All right? Nor is it mine? Oh my good? Okay, who are you giving your doging? I bet you wish

it was you, don't you? But it's not. It's Rudy Giuliani. Actually, actually, all right, we'll get to that. Actually what I was thinking about you when I saw Rudy Giuliani yesterday. We'll talk about it for after the hour, all right, we'll talk about it for after the hour. They put that finger out there like I'm one. Why it's so cold in here? Now? It all makes sense, don't it. Draw. Don't you know you ain't been here? It all makes sense? Why so cold in here? Let's get the donkey. Hurry up,

Come all right, donkey, the day's up next. It's the Breakfast Club coming donkey. Time you get dunky day you are hu, I'm gonna fatten all that around your eye. They want this man to Donden Blowers man. They're waiting for Charlomagne gloves. Let's go talk to you. Who was gonna be on Donkey of the day. They chose you the breakfast club, bitches, he's donkey of the day to day. Boy, you lucky. I can't find my bathleting right now. I want to push. I need my lips to work right now.

Hold on, I need my lips to work. Hold on one sec. All right, I'm donkey here to day for Friday, November twentieth, goes to Rudy Giuliani. Now, Rudy had a press conference yesterday because he was so us Okay, He's Trump's attorney. That whole team over there, they still trying to act like they won the election instead of just letting it go. Listen to the guy. Listen, listen, ma'am. You are lying. You're lying. You're lying. Oh, continue to lie. I'm not going mam, mam, mam, mam, mam, ma'am. Okay,

let me answer the question. Answer the question, Dan, bring me a picture of you know what I want to see. Now, I'm gonna be honest. I don't care about any of that. Okay, I'm just mad. We're not gonna revote today because I need y'all to see the vision of this Mayonnai's flavored mammal sweating profusely. Now, Nick, when you edit this video later, make sure you add this picture to it. Okay, Dan, I need you to pull the picture up holding the

Knick's camera real quick. It was so hot under those lights. Okay. Those lies Rudy Giuliani was telling had him so hot. And this is why I want to give him a donkey to day. Not only because he's a raving lunatic who literally would hold Donald Trump's penis when he peas and shaking for him when he's done. But what we saw on that stage last night should be a warning to all you just for men, ask nickus all right, listen to me. That wasn't just for men, do you

you say you stay over there? Listen to me, all you color and Company by Laura, y'all as brothers. I don't want this to happen to you. Now. Clearly Rudy didn't have permanent hair dye. He had semi permanent head dye, because I don't think permanent hair dye does that. Now let me turn to an expert. M j V. You haven't died your head, you know. I want to talk to you. Okay, talk to me, sir. Now. When you're putting that just for men, easy comb uh in color

in your bid? Do you use permanent or semi permanent, which one doesn't melt when he gets hot. Talk to us. Just for men is just one Dare's no permanent or non semi permanent. It's just just for men being I don't know a bejing isn't. Now you are not not gonna tell no goddamn lie. You are an avid bike rider, okay, so you sweat a lot. So when you have that soft sheen Carson hair color for men on your chin, what keeps that pay ain't from melting? I don't know.

Maybe I'm really concerned. You've got to see serious you guys. Have you ever seen I have not seen you keep it locked to envy. I can't allow this to happen to you. Small people learn from their own mistakes. Wise people learn from the mistakes of others. What is there to learn from what Rudy Giuliani's pay ain't okay? What is there to learn? Envy? Give him some advice. I mean, Rudy Giuliana should have used just for man. That's what he should have used. I don't know what doesn't run.

I don't know, but that's what he shitty you this His color should have been like a light brown. I think that was Rudy Giuliani like, Okay, light brown, listen to I think his was more of a dark brown way. You know we're talking about you. Okay, we listen. All we're saying nvs. We don't want this to happen to you, but it seems like you got it together. You know what I'm saying. All this, I want you to listen. Just just just listen to this one part. Listen. Answer

the question, play it again, played again. Answer the question. Okay, one more time, let's play one more time. Answer the question. That's Rudy Giuliani standing on stage trying to talk and end up with a mouthful of Beijing. Okay, Envy, I do not need you on this ad talking one day and getting hot because you're looking at me in my try steps, and then you start sweating and end up with a mouthful of Beijian easy color. Okay, I'm serious.

I did some research on this. The Beijian website states that die for eyelashes or eyebrows can in fact cause blindness, blindness p o pay Okay, I cannot have you out here illegally blind because that damn Beijing ran down your head and into your eyes all right, matter of fact dramas checking visa lashes right now, check them and tell me he uses age five. Right, his eyebrows do look darker than usual. Now I totally understand why he doesn't

want the heat on up here. He was complaining how cold it wasn't here, but he was doing that to throw us off. He told the building to keep it cold because he don't want that pay eight and his eyeballs. By the way, Rudy Giuliani and DJ Envy, Beijing should not be in held due to the risk of respiratory irritation. Did you know that? I don't know who uses Beijing. I mean you should tell Rudi Juliani don't use Beijing. It's in your bid. Oh maybe uses sharp I don't know.

I don't have it in my bed. There is no reason for any man, black or white to be using Beijing during the pandemic. Okay, Beijing causes respiratory irritation. Coronavirus causes respiratory illness. Can you imagine having trouble breathing and not knowing if it's COVID nineteen? Are Beijing fifty nine? Envy? What number do you use? Tell us age forty five. You think it's age forty five, he tell me. Well for adjustment, man, he tell me he uses age forty five.

He said it on the air before. That is dark brown. It's actually the darkest brown. I think you use fifty nine. Tell the truth. You use fifty nine, don't you? And you owe me ten? Use fifty nine? Don't you? The oriental black permanent hair color that's you right, that contains no ammonia and requires no hydrogen peroxide to use. Tell me right now, tell the truth for what's on this radio. I don't use Beijing. I don't know what you're talking about. The moral of the story is life is about going

hard in the paint, but not hard in that. I ain't okay like dj N being Rudy Giuliani. Don't put me on his like even give Rudy Giuliani the sweet sounds of the Hamletones. Oh no you are do gee, Oh the damn the doge, Oh the day drum. Rudy Giuliana should try just for men at the bag. He's rubbing his chin drown he's double to check his fingers. I bet you he looked like he's got fingerprinted. Look. No, one doesn't look, look, look, there is none the fear of God. Let me shout out. Let me shout out

my brothers. Man, Let me shout out my brother Rick Ross. Let me shout out my brother. Why don't you met my brother Kevin har Oh my god, this is my brother's eye. I can't believe you. Six nine. Oh my god, it six nine. I can't believe you. You take the whole color down. You're taking the whole CNB down. Man, all the colored all the colored men, beardsmoody, Julia. God, you shouldn't be using SHARPI. You shouldn't be using Oh my god, I can't believe you just took the whole scene.

I'm just shouting my brothers. I'm about to get my mixing. Wow, that's messed up. Bro. You just stood on the stand and said, if I'm going down, everybody going down with me. This guy is something y'all talking about. I'm doing my mixing. Wow, gosh, Look, I'm getting my I'm getting my mixes. So I'm thinking the songs I'm gonna playing the mix. I'm gonna throw it back Kevin Harts record. You know I got I got a couple of joints, m CNB. Y'all all, y'all

got all right? Hey, getting this christious? Well, thank you for that donkey today. Gee, I don't know what it was about, but all right, all right. When we come back, Cedric Richmond will be joining us, the new uh scene advisor to President elect Joe Biden. Yeah, we're gonna talk to him when we come make sure he don't change his goddamn number on us. All right, right, it's the Breakfast Club. Good morning, the Breakfast Club back. You're checking

out the world's most dangerous morning show. Morning. Everybody is DJ Envy Angela yee, Charlomagne the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. We got a special guest on the line this morning. Yes, the new senior advisor to the President elect. That's right, Cedric Richmond. Welcome back, brother, Good morning everybody. How y'all doing, blessed Black and Holly favor. Congratulations on

being named senior advisor to the president. Man to tell people what that position means, because they didn't they didn't even know what coach had was he Wait, what does it mean? This is the first time it's not a free position on the Biden campaign. I can tell you that. Let me just it. Will be Director of Public Engagement, which means I'll engage in uh interact with everybody from the civil rights community, to the LGBTQ community, to Black

Lives Matter, to the Latino community. And I'll be in the White House as a senior advisor to the President for him to bounce stuff off, to have him put in decisions. And sometimes you know that question is who's at the table. It's my expectation to be at the table. Do you get a chance to breathe and say, yes, we finally made it. We finally did it because it was a long fight and the fight continued for a minute. Or do it now you look at it and say, Okay, now we got a whole lot more to do. Well,

we have a lot of work to do. This president has left chaos and confusion all across the country, especially a raging pandemic. But we you know, I don't have to tell you all. You know we have a lot of work to do. When you start talking about systematic racism, when you start talking about addressing poverty, when you start talking about addressing climate change, when you start talking about addressing police reform, criminal justice reform, all of those things

we've talked about. Now it becomes the time to put up a shut up and so we have work to do, and that's the part that is the awesome task. I So you said that this was the hardest decision you've had to make in your life. So what were your reservations. Well, first of all, I haven't had a boss in twenty one years except the people who put me in office.

And the other part was making sure that you know it's meaningful and Charlemagne, I will tell you that between you and d L because both of you all on interviews asked me the same question at some point, which was who do we hold accountable if things go arived or we don't live up to expectations. And the real question was, well, if I don't go in, then I'm cheating people of that voice, of all of the people

I'm convinced to be a part of this movement. And then you know, it was just to uproot your family and moved to DC. Look, I like DC, but New Orleans is the best city in the country, and so all of those factors went in. But at the end of the day, it's something I had to do. Was it hard to leave your congressional seat. Absolutely. I mean,

first of all, I just got reelected. It's been six elections going into my eleventh gear Assistant to the Whip, which is a leadership position in the House, and the more seniority you get, the more you can help your district. But in this broken government that we have now, with the Senate controlled by Republicans or could be controlled by Republicans, Mitch McConnell's just going to continue to block everything that's important us, like the George Floyd Policing Act, which he's blocking,

and are the voting Rights Extension which he's blocking. So part of it is, you know, there's more than one way to skin a catin. So if we can't get it done legislatively, let's go into executive branch and see what we can get done there. Who you think should get that seat, your old seat? Oh, look, there's a number of qualified people who are running, and I will look at him, I'll talk to each and every one of them, and I'll probably make a recommendation to the voters.

But it's important to keep someone who will put the constituent's over ambition or anything like that. So and look, everybody that's running has a track record, so voters will be able to judge them. How are you navigating through Donald Trump not trying to help with this transition phase. What are you guys able to do to get around that? Well, the good news is Joe Biden has been in the White House before and so there's some institutional knowledge there.

But it's a hindrance, and the sad part about it is it puts Americans at jeopardy. So if we're talking about having a cohesive rollout of the vaccines, if they're ready, it would be nice to know where they are, what's their plan, so that we could come in or adjust their plan and have our own plan ready. But you need to know those type of things, especially on National

defense and Security BRIEFHASE. One of the glaring items in the nine to eleven report was that because it wasn't a smooth transition, there were gaps and the terrorists were able to exploit those gaps. So those are the things you don't want to happen. But there are a number of people who used to be in the Trump administration that is volunteering information and so we're doing the best we can with what we got. But I don't think that's adequate, and we know it's not adequate for the

American people. So we just, you know, hopefully expect to temper tantrum the stop and we can get to transition and get ready for one of peaceful transition, but to a moving presidency coming up. And I was gonna ask, is there any way to forcefully do that by law? You know the fact that these laws all these states to come in and say you know now that you did leave, that you did lose. Is there any way to forcefully say no, we need this information. You have

to or you go to jail. Is that possible? Or no? That doesn't happen like that. But there's some legal routes you can take. But I'll just tell you from my time in Congress, when Donald Trump tell us its cabinet secretaries and not to cooperate with committee investigations, to ignore our subpoenas, we hold them in contempt, and then nothing still happens. This is a lawless punch that is in the house right now. And you know, without Donald Trump freeing them up, I expect them to continue to be

a problem. However, I do think at some point Donald Trump is going to realize that it's bigger than him for the first time. I think he will understand that this is not all about him, or he'll just take his ball and go home and say, you know, if y'all want Sleepy Joe takes Sleepy Joe, y'all all want me back in four years. So I'm taking my ball

and going home. Whatever it looks like, it just needs to happen so that we can get on with the business of transition and preparing to run the greatest country on Earth. We got more with Cedric Richmond. When we come back, don't move. It's to Breakfast Club. Good Morning Morning. Everybody is DJ Envy Angela Yee. Charlomagne the gay we are the Breakfast Club was still kicking it with Cedric Richmond. Charlomagne, Cedric, are you ready for all the smoke that's gonna come

you away? Though? Because I posted you on my Instagram yesterday a couple of days ago, congratulating you, and immediately people started coming with all types of you know, rhetoric. Somebody whose climate advocates and leaders who fight against toxic are pollution saying that he's terrible for the environment because he got tied to the oil and gas industry. But what do you say to that? Look, I understand their concern.

They also have to understand that in my congressional district, we have hundreds of thousands of jobs tied to people showing up working every day anywhere from hotels to all in gas to refineries. And that's just the district that I represent. But what I would just tell them is that they all applaud Don mckeacham as being one of

the leaders on environmental justice. Well, when we were deciding to put our climate plan together, it was me that called Don mckeacham, who's a difference in mine, and said, hey, we want the best environmental justice plan that we can find, and we want you at the table when I want you involved. So I know the damage that's going on out there, and I think we have assembled the team to put it together. And we had a robust climate change plan, and by the way, Joe Biden and its

climate plan won the presidency. Nobody else did. Yeah. But then that's why they were kind of upset too, because they said that you raked in big money from the fossil fuel industry and voted to help oil and gas companies. Is that true. No, that's not true. Now, I did receive contributions from the oil and gas company. They're businesses in my district and just because you write a check doesn't mean you own me. And at some point the

activists are gonna have to understand that. Man, you're the third politician I heard say that, and it makes perfect sense to me, Like you can, you know, have somebody donate to your campaign, but as long as you're still serving the interest of the people and not, then what's

the problem. Environmentalists have also donated to my campaign. So look, I just think that it's it's a distraction and when you know people are out there just trying to get it done, we should come together, especially when you win an election. The fact that the cracts of fighting after we win makes absolutely no sense. We should be at the table figuring out where we go from here. And I think that's what Joe Biden wants to do. So look,

Sunrise and all the environmental groups. I'm going to reach out to them and make sure that they understand that this is the Biden climate Plan, this is the agenda we're going to embark on. So let's take people out of it, focus on the plan, and so I forgot who said it. It might have been King, but I heard Obama repeated before it's not about the man, it's about the plan. And I believe in Joe Biden's climate

plan and his environmental justice plan. I was going to ask, how do you undo the damage done by the president now and his constituents who are saying that there's voter fraud and this whole election was rigged and there's a lot of people who don't believe in the system. So

how do you undo that damage? Well, one first, making sure we get to January twentieth and watch him leave the White House and watch Joe Biden go into the White House, because I think what we've seen over campaign is that Joe Biden people believe him, and he can restore trust in government, the election system. The Trumpsters out there that believe that somebody stole the election, they're going to believe that no matter what I mean. They created

the term alternative facts, and people believe it. Unfortunately, he has a percentage of the population that will believe whatever he says. He says the news media's line and they believe it. So it's upon us once we take office to make sure we restore people's faith in government, restore

the faith in the election system. You have republican governor's, Republican Secretary of States like in Georgia saying we had a recount, Joe Biden's the winner, the election was fair, there was no fraud, and those people who are going to choose to believe the alternative facts are just going to believe that. Now, how can we help you and Senator Harris and everybody in the White House keep those promises for black people? How can we help on the ground. Well,

I think you have to keep raising issues. We don't get a pass because we won. And I think that that's important. And I think I said it on this show before Charlotte Mane, but I'll try to give you the thirty second of it. When Jesse Jackson, John Lewis and Martin Luther King and all those people, not Martin, but when the civil rights leaders went into visit London, Johnson after the passage of the Civil Rights Act that told them they needed a voting Rights Act, he said,

I can't do it. They said, no, you have to do it. He said, I want to do it, but I don't have the political capital are the will of the people to do it. So help me by when you leave this room, make me do it. Go create the environment out there, create the demand for that change

that will help me usher it in. So to the extent that people are still talking about Black Lives Matter movement, whether it helped or hurt, Black Lives Matter movement is a partner in the struggle for progress in this country, and we recognize that. We applaud them, and the more that they push, the more that we're able to do. And so that's what we need from you too. I mean, we have to make sure that our people are engaged.

And if that means our people are engaged enough to the point where they are criticizing our action or in action, well that's just a consequence of it. But it moves the needle forward. So just keep doing what you're doing, being an honest voice, plane spoken, keeping it real however, you know, being woke, however we describe it, or the young people say it, that's what we need from you.

And so young people need the truth and the real truth, and the more it incentivises them to be a part of the process, I think that is very very important. You know, you know, and I know you're part of the administration, but on a scale of one to let's say, the Civil Rights Act of nineteen sixty four, do you have faith in the Biden Harris administration to really make

transformative change for the black community. Absolutely. You know. The hindrance is the fact that we did not pick up the Senate yet, and hopefully we can pick up those two seats Georgia. We need the people in Georgia to just really show up. But the will is there, and you know, my grandmother used to say, whether there's the will, there's a way, And so I believe that both of them want to be very transformative and leave a legacy bigger and better than the sixty four Civil Rights Act

sixty five Voting Rights Act. And part of what we want to do is to extend that Voting Rights Act, which has lapsed since the Supreme Court decision that gutted it. But by the way, I just want to also throw in there that you know, Vice President Biden did break a barrier already and show some courage and the ability to think out of the box and take chances by picking not only the first woman, but the first black woman to be a vice president candidate on a major ticket.

And by the way, at the end of the day, as I look at this, I don't think there's another ticket that would have beat Donald Trump as close as this election was. I think Senator Harris was a vital part of the ticket. And I think Joe's authenticity and people knowing him is what earned him the title of president elected soon to be forty sixth president of the United States. I agree with you. I just you know, I just want more than the symbolism at this point,

that's all, you know what I mean. Oh, look, I agree with you. I would just say, if you want to see what somebody's going to do in the future, just look at their past actions. And I think that that should at least earn, you know, a sense of you know, good will. Not saying that that good will should last in perpetuity, but I think it's it sets the tone for what type of administration this wants to be.

And I would just tell you, as talking to President elect Joe Biden, it is very clear that he wants to empower and do more for the African American community and any president before him, and you know there are other issues he wants to have that legacy on. But he is very set on making sure that you know, has uh lift every voice agenda, it's actually implemented. Well, we're gonna be on his ass, so don't change your number, Okay, Cedric, we appreciate you for checking in, Man and call and call.

You can call life to you back. Now. It's so fatty, Cedric Richmond. It's the breakfast club. Go on, think the breakfast club. I think they had one versus in Atlanta last night, Gucci versus Jesus. I'm gonna tell you the other verses. What's that? The other verses Atlanta versus Covid? Okay, what the hell y'all got going on in Atlanta? What I saw in compound last night looked ridiculous. Y'all really trying hard to catch Covid? Really? That looks nuts? Bro?

Does you can't say nothing about no Trump rallys or nothing when you're doing stuff. But it's been like that. It's not like this is the first time. It's like that night. Look, bro, it's been like that for book. What time you say what she called last week? She was like, the cases ain't rise. I'll keep it up. And a lot of y'all way over forty in them clubs. You know what I'm saying, I lie you overweight and overweight. It's a lot of underlying conditions. Y'all keep playing in

the land if y'all want to. All right, well, let's get to the rooms. Let's talk Hallie Berry. Listen. Oh my gosh, got angel. It's the role report the Breakfast Club. Well, halle Berry had some things to say about her past. You know, she had a first orgasm when she was eleven years old. She was talking to Lindsay Flores and here's what she had to say. I remember my first orgasm. You do, yeah, and I did it to myself. So how old were you loving? Really? Really? And what was

happening through it? I was daddling and I was figuring out my sexuality. You give us some context. Why is this conversation happening? But what is this shows range that it just came up. I had an orgasm at eleven, Okay, I was just playing that, all right, have some context. You know she's sitting there having a conversation and that's one of the things that they discus. I can understand

if you say that was lip service. I would get it that that type of show, something that extra bad and bougie bushe and so they're talking about different things like sex positions and their craziest sexual escapades and okay, so it's part of the show, sitting around just chilling, you know, Like later on I go to baber shop, like, hey, Charlamage, when's the last time you know? I mean, it's not it's not gonna happening. All right. Now, let's talk about

new music. Megan the Stallion's new album Good News came out, so I know everybody's excited for that. Now. One thing that people are talking about is a song called shots Fired on there and she's talking a lot about what happened with Tory Lane's allegedly and her former best friend Kelsey listened to this mentioned bly blind but real, real Facebook chill. We'd imagine me giving or did you win your feelings? I just thought it working another Thursday, Now

imagine me. I don't want you want to believe if you wouldn't have been invited and didn't win for me saying put you to been in night you are not to talk. I guess that made my friend excited. Now y'all like, cool, you shot a five ten ten put it twenty two and ten. It's like the bullets wouldn't pillet with a gun in its film. All right, well, it looks like some more information about what happened that day, but she is um clearly not going to be friends

with her best friend ex best friend anymore. Yeah, how close were the They couldn't have been that close show they were best friends. I need to know how far back that ran, because that don't seem like it. Well, you know, your best friends become your worst enemies. That is true. I'm mine, and so that's what happens when somebody knows everything about you. That is the person that if things go left and you fall out, If it's somebody that's not really tight with you, why would you

even care? Yeah, I mean, you know, you meet people later on in life that you you know, might have been super cool with y'all thought y'allway was close, and y'all fall out. But your your people people, and you've been down with for a long time. That's why I ain't got too many. I'm going like that. I know my people, I know where they staying, and they know what they staying with me, and never ain't got worried about that. Not too many new friends in mine surf.

I remember when you and JJ Mona got it wentto it because he smashed cake in your face or something for like a year. That was so cute. I remember that. Yeah, but that's that's my brother. He I mean, he would You wouldn't do anything like that. I mean, you fight with your brother sometimes, and and we do fight, and we argue and and we know, and we smashed cake in each other and it was so wild beaucause y'all told him to do it. That's why he was drunk.

And he did it sensual like he know. He did not do it kind of like slid his fing face. Y'all gass. You said you would be funny if y'all throw this cake nace, nobody said. And he told me. When you told me, y'all said that, I thought that's what y'all doing. New York is all paid in full. I was like, y'all smashed the cake in his face. That smash. He punched me in the face with the cake. Didn't get it. The icing was on your cheek and he wiped the ice and off after he smashed him.
