Your friend on Friday that the world's most stagers want to shut the cameras agree, isn't listen city, So Harry the captain of this the only one who can keep these guys in check. Solomne. There was called petition good morning USA, Hey dam they fam what's up? It's Thursday? Yes, all day, all day, every day. Good morning everybody. It is Thursday. Long night. Last night me too. I was out with Angela Yee. We were at the Juice Bar educating people on real estate and financial literacy. Yeah, it
was good. We learned about crowdsourcing as far as trying to get funding to get a home, and we learned about what Fanny May does and about Airbnb and all different kinds of things and how the MV has been buying all his homes. Yeah, you should, definitely if you get an opportunity a chance. It's called Wealth Wednesdays is at the Juice Ball and b K and we also stream it live on Facebook. Yes, and so it's up there too if you can't make it out, Yeah, And
it's a lot of knowledge, a lot of information. It's absolutely positively free. All you gotta do is RSVP. So if you're ever in a New York area, you can get a lot of that knowledge, all right. I'm also traveling all over the country trying to teach people, encourage people to invest in real estate and own their own community. I'm gonna be in New Orleans coming up, Charlotte coming up, Chicago coming up, in La coming up, Houston coming up.
So if you're in those areas and you want to learn about that, you could just you know, hit me on the Instagram. Just hit the link and you can see what i'mna be in your town. I'm really really big into encouraging people to invest and buy their own community. A lot of people have been renting for thirty years, forty years, twenty years, and that money that they spent in renting, they could have been owned a property, a multi unit property, and made some money off of it.
I'm really proud of ANGELI ye give angela year a round of applause. Drop a bomb for Angelie. If you don't know, but she purchased her first crib several years ago. She was very nervous, but she wanted to purchase in that home. It was a two family home or two unit home, so the upstairs pretty much pays her mortgage. Well, the downstairs two excuse me, phouse, the downstairs pretty much pays for her mortgage. And I just remember her buying
the house a couple of years ago. How nervous she was five years ago to be exact, Yeah, she didn't know if she was going to have enough to do it. It's very expensive. But now she paid for that crib, and the crib went up a couple one hundred thousand dollars four hundred thousand. Look at that and see that. So she has a lot of equity in her home. And that's the home that she lives. And so I want to shout to ye and everybody out there that's
really really trying to get into invest in. And you know, like I said, you don't have to take a seminar, you don't have to take a claw a class, Google, you know, read a book, just try to get the knowledge that you need. But some great referrals. We need to own our own neighborhoods. You know, I'm tired of them kicking us out about neighborhoods. And then when we're trying to get back into charging this extra money or the prices shot up and I'm talking about Detroit, I'm
talking about Texas. I'm talking about you know, New York, Hall of Jersey City, Chicago, Saint Louis in all those areas. I mean, those areas everywhere around the country. But we need to own a lot of those properties. Yes, And before I came to both Wednesday, yesterday I was filming for my podcast lip Service, and we had Lisa Anna on. You know who Lisa Anne is? Lisa Anne? The name sounds familiar, all right, well you should google her, but
she'll be on on Friday. But it was a great conversation. Okay, remember the porn who's nailing pealing and someone plays Sarah Palin. Yes, that was Lisa Anne. Oh, he's the number one most searched porn star. Now I'm gonna see what she looks like. So she's no, I'm not definitely not searching to held my phone. I'm gonna use your phone. Dramas. Yesterday was dramas. Already looked it up yesterday. He looked it up yesterday. She did, Yes, he did. He knew she was already. Yesterday.
It was my son's birthday. My son turned five. They should have brought him. Oh, I should have brought him to what service. No, that's all right. It doesn't even to know about Lisa Anne or whatever her name is. I took him bowling though. We went bowling. He's a five year old that loves to bowl, so we went bowling yesterday for his birthday. They put the bumpers up for him, or yeah, they put the bumpers up for him. But it worked out well for me. I'm sure it
had like a two hundred score. It was amazing. It's a great last night. Anyway, Let's get the show cracking front page news. What we're talking about. Oh, let's talk about the game last night. I know you want to talk about what's happening with the war with the Golden State Warriors and with Toronto. All right, we'll get into that next. Keep it locked. This to Breakfast Club, Go morning. Everybody's DJ mvy Angela Gyee, Charlemagne the guy. We are
to Breakfast Club. Let's get some mornange news. All right. Last NAG game through the NBA Finals. The Raptors beat the Warriors one twenty three one oh nine. Raptors lead the series two one very undermanned war forty seven. Last night, Clay Thompson didn't play, no plays. Kevin Durant is still out, but Clay Thompson will be back Friday, and I think ka, I think it's a k D's returning for Game four.
I mean they all gonna return for the game. For it enough enough now, they like, even if they're a little injured, they're gonna come back and play probably well. The Golden State Warriors did warm up to that story of Audi Dan's song as well. Push your Tea's joint YEP, that was disrespectful, it was, But I was drinked there, nah. I mean it don't matter though, because so why they go to Drake. Drake don't play basketball. What are you
talking about? Like that Drink was going to drink himself in the middle of all the time they heckles them. Last night, Drink was posting pictures of Clay Thompson with a bunch of white girls. I don't even know what that meant, he said, stayed golden my friends. Do you think the Raptors care that they played push it t the Raptors? I don't. That was a dig at Drake. Okay, Drake saw that just the way you saw that. Drake saw that somewhere too. The dig would have been winning.
That would have been the wheel. Well, you know, that's kind of tough when you don't have you know, two of your starters Clay Thompson are Kevin Durrammant He'll be at Game five before. They should have played Push on Friday then when they had everybody back. What else she got you? All? Right? Well, a Texas high school teacher thought she was sending some private messages to Donald Trump
about anti immigration. And this is really sad because she's a high school English teacher in the Fort Worth Independent School District. She's been a teacher there since nineteen ninety eight. And she tweeted Fort Worth is loaded with illegal students from Mexico. I really do need a contact here in Fort Worth who should be actively investigating and removing illegals that are here in the public school system. So what's sad about that? I mean, she's trying to get students
from the school removed. So they're here in a high school trying to learn, and she's writing on Twitter, and but she's also teaching these students. I don't know that. I don't know the guy would feel comfortable with somebody like that I wouldn't feel comfortable of that trying to get those students out of there. We're living a biggotan country. What are we talking about? Fed right, So I'm like, I don't know what sad about that she's a biggot. No, it's sad for the students that they have to have
this person as a teacher. Well, the sad walls that we got to live in a biggoty country. Well what most people in positions of power are biggest? Okay, So anyway, she did get her contract terminated, but she is asking for a hearing to test her firing. So other allegations did come to like once these tweets did come to light as well, because you can imagine what somebody like that who was supposed to be teaching the kids who are our future, what else they're doing in the classroom
that might perhaps be harmful to our students? All right, Oakland, it's the second in US city to decriminalize shrooms. So now people will be able to grow and take magic mushrooms and they don't have to worry about getting arrested because it has been decriminalized. I really need to know what the health benefficity shrooms. This is crazy, you mean to tell me. All our life they've been telling us shrooms and dangerous, and now they decriminalize them. Like Jesus Christ.
I've known people that have oldded off shrooms and jumped out of cards and all kinds of stuff like why. A lot of supporters say it's a way to become closer with the planet, and this is crazy, man. I mean, the thing about shrooms is they are natural from the Earth. It's not like you're making something that wouldn't already exist.
As a kid, they told me shrooms was bad, you shouldn't use it and make it crazy, and now you're just gonna decriminalize and gay, I didn't have any issues, all right, so you would encourage shrewm you shroom music. I'm just saying, you just you just have to out the teacher. You don't be that You just you just you have to out the bigger the teacher that don't be that guy, that person. I think that anything that you use in excess and you use another wrong conditions
should is an issue. But I think if you know what you're doing and you know how to use it properly, then you could be okay, all right, that is your front page news. All right, get it off your chests. Eight hundred five A five one oh five one. If you're upset, you need to vent hit us up right now. Maybe had a horrible night, or maybe had a great night, whatever it may be. Eight hundred five A five one oh five one. Get it off your chest. It's the
breakfast club. Good morning, the breakfast club. Wake up, wake up, wake If you're time to get it off your chest with your man or blacks, we want to hear from you on a breakfast glove. Hello. Who's this hey, get it off your chest? Good morning, good morning, Good morning guy. What's up? Your money? Good money? Good money? So I met the stuf tender right and we were dating, and the whole time she told me like she was married
and they've been split a four years. Well, I wish to get my charger from her house, and he was sitting on the couch and I was a little confused because I was like, I got y'all broke up all the time. He was like, no, we've been together. I'll leave for the weekend. I'm like, wow, that's the weekend. She tells me to come over dang, well, what you're gonna do? So you decide you? Oh, I love her like I love her a lot because she had me
messed up. She had you after up, she had you, after she had me get rid of all of my stuff, She had me get rid of girls, other girls and everything. Tell me that he was gonna be together. She ran that game on you. Damn. I didn't know women women running that game too. I thought that was just guys who do stuff like that. Wow, lady knew. She played me all the way to the left and then was like, well, lady, I still want to be with my husband, So it is what it is. Man. I was like, oh god,
you ain't want to join in. Yeah. No, Well she didn't want to be a full time lesbian like you. She just wanted to be a part time lesbian. Okay, are you mad at her because you wanted a tempt job? That's the ball. Well, I'm sorry, I'm giving people full time positions. But you sound like you're in good spirits, right Mary? Hey, what's up? Let me get in. Hey, what's going on? What's going on? What's going on? Good morning, y'all? But you needed a hit. What we're at Molly No,
I was gonna alway to work. Me jump out the v real quick. So yo. Look ye right, I name Molly D. Electrician, um m D. Y'all, y'all all entrepreneurs. I've been working for this company for like six years. I'm thinking about just jumping off the ledge and starting my own. I've been throwing electrical work out here in NYC for about the last four years for myself. He isn't starting to pick up. That's follow me on Instagram
at Marley DD Electrician to check out my work. I get busy, quality work twenty four to seven m and you got a lot of properties. Man, if you ever need electrician, I'm a young black man trying to do my thing. Check my page. I'll hit me up. Man, I'll come look you up. But you got were you from. I'm in Brooklyn, man, but I do all five boroughs. Oh. I got a mentor. He's a black man license electrician. Okay, trying the door, I think, man, shout out to him
and you you're a licensed electrician as well. Right, I'm certified. I'm working on my license on mass electrician soon. I'm gonna get that. Okay, you're gonna get that all right? Brother, So I just wanted to plug myself think the morning, and y'all I like that. You did it, man, you did it the right way. You've been working on it. You got some clients built up now from the job that you've been working on, and now that you have that base ready and you feel knowledgeable, you're ready to
jump out and start your own business. I'm thinking about it. I'm thinking thinking about you. I'm trying to do my thing. Sounds like he's ready. Try what up? Try? I'm good? Trash, Hey, tra are you good? How are you? Boot? I'm doing good? What's up? Says? What up? Says? How are you? I'm doing good? I'm doing good. Listen, man, can I talk about this dude real quick? That went viral them it's above me now guy? Uh huh? Yes? So everybody seen
that video? Yes? Yes? So in the video, he's like, you know, talking to the white lady and he's telling her old in this climate, you know, you can't be saying these type of things and all that, which is great and all that, but I don't know if everybody know. Literally, like two days before that, he was going on a whole transphobic rant. About how he doesn't like transgenders. Then the bad thing is he's actually a very gay. He's actually a gay man, and he's one of those gay
men that like to divide the LGBT community. I heard about that, but what do that got to do with him experiencing racism? So my whole thing is like he put on all this transphobic stuff and started selling T shirt and then didn't trying to issue an apology coming aside, oh that's not how he released it. I can't stand people who literally say stuff about people and then this because they want to get to the bag, they start apologizing. Well, here's the thing, I didn't know who he was. He
may be transphobic, but he's still experienced racist. Like I don't like. I hate when I hate when we do that, because it's like, if we don't like racism, we can't like racism across the board, regardless of who happens to you. No, and I suttinly agree. But at the same time, you can't be saying that you don't like racism when you're out there here discriminating against your own people in your
own community. I don't like to see people who discriminate who getting discriminated again, discriminate, but he's still experienced races he did, but he don't hear an He also need to be selling T shirt after he literally did being transpoled two days before. So champion an entrepreneur when you're transpolga like, well, Jesus Christ, traffic damn trap. Just hangs
up when he's done, my right. They did the same thing when dude got killed, When dude got killed by the police, and then they was like, well he used to sland the blacks, Like what that got to do with anything. He still got killed by the police, and police killing unarmed black men is wrong. Eight hundred five eight five one on five one. Get it off your chest. Hit this now, it's the Breakfast Club. Good morning, the Breakfast Club. This is your time to get it off
your chest, whether you're man or blast. So you better have the same industry we want to hear from you on the Breakfast Club. Hello, who's this? Seven five seven? What's up? Get it off your chest? Well, now, I mean I'm a little bit bad this morning because I was telling about boy cut his yard the other day, right, and he had he had his dog out there, and
I had the gas can out there. Well, as I walked away from the dog, you know, cutting the rest of the yard, the dog went over there and started licking up the gas right, So we had to take him to the vetinarian immediately. We put everything up to them to the veterinarian. He was running around and he just passed out. So when we got him to the veterinarian, the vetinarians checking on him and everything, and we're like,
oh man, what's going on. And so all of a sudden, vet nanian coming back there and he's like, hey, I know what's going on. What's going on? What was going on? Said? The dog just ran out of gas? Boom? You know, man, when you started talking about the gas, well you started talking about the gas, I thought I was gonna give you a nice hot dog joke off this morning. Get in that way. One person like that, Hey, but I'm making funny videos and stuff up to me about being funny.
After what I said, I was really like, damn thing about his dogs. Can you talk to me about being funny? After you got you tried to get that lame one. I really thought something happen with the dog. I was concerned the dog was gonna end on fire in this story, and I had a nice hot dog point ready to go. Man, all right, I was still lords after. I was like that, what happened to the dog? Hello? Who's this? What's what's something? Man? You're gonna tell us your name? Hey? Yeah, it's true,
Hey Trey, get you off your chests, bro, man. Yeah, man, I just want to speak on that case about on the guys in New York, man, um, the guys in New York a million, um, the guys that got talked with the rate and um Central. Okay, yeah, man um, I want to know who come up with the numbers? Man? For the one million, for all them years out of your life, man, not only did you show them gays lives? Man,
you just short the familized way up. Man. For the one millions, not enough told there's no amount of money though, not at all. Nothing is enough to take to give you back your life. Yes, yes, I definitely agree with that. And I'm like, I think they need to go back to the drawing board because for the one million dollars, that's no way. Like that's crazy, man, like that, that's that's crazy. Yeah. I agree the boys to lowne their stuff and to say they did that man like that.
That's ridiculous. Man, if people still looking at them a certain type of way, like they character is stored forever, like y'all, y'ad, that's crazy. Yeah. And the fact that Dancy are saying that those young men did it when you know, evidence shows otherwise, evidence a confession. And Lenda Fariste is still like, oh, I believe they had something to do with it. What? Hello? Who's this? Hi? Good morning, good morning? What's your name? Mama? Hi? Hi? Hi, he's here?
What's up baby? How you? I'm Grady Gwan Bradren, My dear, my dear, I've seen the last farewell player. Tyler Perry is amazing. He didn't say meda, but gay give you off your chess mama. Okay, First of all, I just want to say I'm blessed. My baby dog just turned five months. I love your mama and completely changed my life. UM, I'm so sure. All. I want to ask you a question. Can I send you a book um shook one so that you can autograph it for me? Of course when
you live at UM I live in Miami. Yeah, of course you can do that, baby mailing and I mail it back that's easy. Oh, because my boyfriend, like when Set had a baby and his there's anxiety through the rooms, like oh oh my god. But I just want to see you can like write something for him to just let him know that it's okay. We're gonna make everything's fine. We're almost we're almost closing out of the house. He just needs to take it easy. That's easy, baby. Please
mail it. I will put you on hold and they'll give you the address. Mail it. I'll mail it right back. Hold on, okay, thank you. I love you, guys, love you back. Get it off your chest. Eight hundred five eight five one on five one. If you need to vent, you can hit us up any time. Now. You've got rooms on the way. Yes, find out about an NFL player who got robbed by two women for half a million dollars. My goodness. All right, we'll get into that next.
Keeping locked as to breakfast club. Good morning, the breakfast club. Good morning. Everybody is DJ MV and Angela yee, Charlomagne the guy. We are to Breakfast Club. Let's get to the rooms. Let's talk fifty cent. She's filling the team. This is the Rumor Report with Angela Yee on the Breakfast Club. Well, fifty cent is still collecting money that people owe him, and he posted part of a clip from the Breakfast Club where Young Buck was on. I had no knowledge of legal money and how that rotated.
I always been got a hold of the paper and put it up in something throughout my whole didn't the money, you know, I come off a rock Mike toy tifty telling me, Yo, that account that I told you to set up, you need to go check it? Hit me and thanks. I came back to fifty like, yo, brod, did you get me the right it right amount? He laughed. There they're like, yo, there's yours. So didn't tell you
about taxes? Not at all? Done everything when you till I want more money Monday, all right, fifty cent posts that un said I gave this fool the money man, he spent it. I paid his taxes, all his legal fees. I can't read the rest now. Fifty posted that two days ago. So it's a great chance that since then more people have been exposed for on fifty cent money. Absolutely, I'm sure he gives he lends a lot of people money. It helps a lot of people out. You would be surprised.
How does he give it though, because if you give it to you and says, look, take care, can't account you're good? Yeah, you're good like you got godline. I think a little bit of both. I thinking sometimes he knows people are in trouble and they call him and they reach out to him, and he's very you know, fifty never says no. What does he say, You're gonna have to pay me back? Now? I think it's understanding, understood, and I'm not giving you nothing. Well you're not my son.
Can't you borrow the money to pay him back from him? No, you can't borrow money to pay him back. Here and let me borrow a thousand dollars to pay you back of thousand now, No, you can't do that. No, if you if if I lend you say no, I need it back. Yeah. But if I say to you, your man, loan me some money, I'll give it back to you and I get on my feet, then I owe you. But if you just give it to me because you know I'm in trouble, if you ask, I say thank you,
and who I need that back? You know, you know my son, I need that money back. Things got be you got to be written down. I need that money back. That sounds good. Who just gives out money for free? For nothing? Right? Lean Bell? Apparently two of his girlfriends stole five hundred thousand dollars worth of jewelry from his home. Lebian Bell, he's a New York Jets running back. Okay. Now,
he was at his house. He had two of his quote girlfriends, that's how he refers to them, at his home in Florida, and he discovered the jewelry was missing when he got back from the gym seven thirties that the items in his closet were also in disarray, and his girlfriends were nowhere to be found. A girlfriend. Amongst the things they took two goal chains with diamonds, a black hand dependant with black and white diamonds, and a Rolex watch. They all have a combined value of five
hundred and twenty thousand dollars. O'kay how much you paid them? I don't care how much y'all kicked it. Those weren't your girlfriends, now they see got got Yeah, those aren't your real friends, because that's your real friend. And then they drove off listening to the City Girls. I guarantee. All right now, Joey Badass, he's gonna be playing Inspected Deck in the Wu Tang an American saga series, and he was on with Andy Martinez and here's what he said,
No more movie roles are coming up the way. Oh you're not this movie role? Oh tell me please? I love, love, love you as an actor. Me and Dave vs is in Utang. I love that. So is Dave playing meThe Man. I think he's playing method. He's playing he has to play meth de Man. He's so much Yeah, I'm Inspected Deck. That's dope. I always wonder how I feel about that, though, because Utang Clan is my favorite group of all time, and you know, I'm glad Davis Enjoy Badass are getting
to work. But Woutang is such iconic characters, and the man wanted Davis to play him in the movie. That's what I'm saying. I wouldn't have. I'll be able to watch that and be able to get past the fact is Davy's and Joy Badass. I think you could get past. Yeah, I think so. I think it'll be good. I've seen some of the other pictures from set. You know, I used to work for Boutang. So I saw the guy who's playing Divine, he looks he looks just like him.
And then Jamie Hecktor is in the movie as well, and I just hosted his benefit the other night, so he was running from and he posted this on his Instagram from the set to the charity event that he was hosting at the same time. You can't wait to see I mean, I got a great actors in it. I definitely can't wait to see it. But those guys are such iconic characters and such iconic figures, so I just hope I can get past the fact that that's
Joey Badass on screen and Davey's on screen. Now you saw great, you saw Gravy as Biggie and even fine with that, right, Yeah, Gravy wasn't as well known as Dave and Joy Badass all though. But Dave. Look at that Dave. Now I kind of see meThe Man. I kind of see how they can make meThe Man out the day. And the other good thing is that guys are involved, So I think that helps too. When you have the people that they're playing actually helping them out
and being involved, I think that's a great thing. We saw Jamie Fox's ray and I thought that was good. Yeah, So, as I'm saying, so, maybe these guys will do a great job. Every birthday, the day you gotta go that deep if you're gonna play you know, iconic characters like that. And Davis is also making his debut with his first movie.
It's a Netflix original movie called Beats. So he revealed that as well, Beats looks at the life of a gifted young man suffering from mental health issues following the death of his sister, and he's starring in. Davis would be in that movie as well. All right, I'm Angela Yee and that is your rumor report. All right, thank you, miss Ye. Now when we come back from page News, what we're talking about, Well, yesterday we were telling you about the couple at the Bahia Principal Resorts and La
Romana a Dominican Republic. Well now there's another couple that has come forward talking about an incident they had at that very same resort last year. All right, we'll get into that next. Keep it locked. This to Breakfast Club. Good morning, Owning. Everybody is DJ mvy Angela Ye Charlomagne, the guy we all the breakfast Club. Now, let's getting some front page news. Last night, Game three the NBA Finals, Raptors beat the Warriors once, one three, one o nine.
They lead the series to one. Curry had forty seven last night. Yeah, but Clay Thompson didn't play, Kevin Durant didn't play. Don't worry. The Warriors will be fine, all right. Clay will be back Friday. I think Katie's coming back Friday too. They said he was a strong, strong possibility for games on before. I'm sure he'll be back this Friday. Especially if I'm losing like that, I think they both go back. What else we got you? All right, Well,
let's talk about this Baha Principay resort in the Dominican Republic. Now, we told you about a couple that died at that resort, and then also a Pennsylvania women who died at that resort, also all of those mysterious circumstances respiratory problems. Well, now a Colorado couple is talking about they stayed at that same resort in the Dominican Republic, and they stayed there in June of twenty eighteen. Things started off well, but then they got so sick they had to cut their
vacations short and go home. Here is what Kaylyn Null had to say. As soon as we came back to the room, we noticed that smelt like so many had dumped paint everywhere. We were drooling accessfully. My eyes were not stop watering. That night, we both woke up soaked and sweat a like four in the morning and kind of terrified. We booked a flight home before the sun came up. I was having the worst intestinal cramping I've ever experienced. It felt like a chainsaw going through my gut. Yeah. Yeah,
the same Bahia pensip Hay resort. Y'all gonna have to hire a publicist. Yeah, they've already released a statement now. What they are saying is when they went back, they had a dia diagnosis from doctor, and the doctor said likely or organophosphate poisoning, which is a reference to pesticide. They say that we're being used on plants all over the resort. They did try to file a lawsuit against the resort. They asked for a million dollars and the
hotel refused to reveal the chemicals they used. They refused to refund their money or anything. So this case has been stalling in the courts in the Dominican Republic. Oh, none of that gonna stop women from going there to get their bodies done. Okay, Now, the resort did release a statement. They said the recent deaths aren't connected and right now they're investigating and waiting for toxicology reports. All right. A Columbus, Ohio doctor was indicted and that was on
twenty five counts of murder. That's in connection with allegations of overprescribing pain medication, and that pain medication was patients who win their death. William who Sell is a doctor who worked at Mount Carmel Health System. He pleaded not guilty. He's being held on bond. And what they're saying is the deaths took place from February of twenty fifteen to November of twenty eighteen. Each of these twenty five counts could carry a penalty of fifteen years to life if
he does get convicted. Now, during initial conversations, the attorney revealed that a doctor which was who Sell, was administering doses of fentonel at a level they thought internally was inappropriate and not for a legitimate medical purpose. So they are saying that he did overprescribe these things to hasten the death of patients that were being treated. That's twenty five people I know, right, And Oakland is the second
city that's going to decriminalize shrooms. So now they're going to say, if you get up with rooms, if you grow them, any of that, you won't get arrested. So you don't have to worry about that at all anymore. I don't understand why they decriminalize in shrooms, Like what are the benefits of shrooms that somebody can can tell us so they don't have to be criminalizing. But people who are fans of it say that it helps you
actually connecting and become closer to the planet. And yeah, but it also gives you panic attacks, it gives you anxiety. They say that if you got a history, let's get your frenny in your family, you shouldn't do them, or any type of mental illness, you shouldn't do them. Well, then you definitely shouldn't do them. And that's the case. Yeah, it doesn't seem like it's I don't understand that you shouldn't do none of it. Now it's okay, now you don't smoke weed now in a lot of places it's legal.
All I've ever seen people do it is trip out when they do shrooms. Oh you haven't seen it? Well, yeah, I know a guy that jumped out of a car because he said everything looked like Super Mario Brothers when he was on Really. Yes, I just want to know what the benefits all Like, if you're decriminalize in something, I want to know why, Like, is there's some some health benefits to it? All I hear? What are they? Well?
And just so you know it's decriminalized, that doesn't mean that it is something that you can just give to anybody who still can't distribute it commercially. It's still forbidden in schools. It's still illegal. And most of the rest of the United States, they must not be arresting a lot of black people. A lot of black people were doing shrians. They would not decriminalized. There must be more white people doing shroans than black people. That's what that is.
All right, Well that is your front page news. All right, thank you, miss ye. Now shout the Earth got in Jarrule. They were on the show yesterday and they were talking about college. A lot of people were upset about what they had to say about college actions. He said they had had two different sides. Let's play a clipple of the conversation yesterday. I chose a different route for my boys. I said college, and I took them with me. But if they wanted to go to college, yeah, but they
didn't know what they wanted to do. Alas of people gonna be like that, that's a bad idea that my kids make six figures. I'm cheating life basically for my kids. It was a time when it was illegal for a black person even you learn how to read. So why wouldn't you want your kids to be as smart as they can be. I want my kids to be successful. I think doing with dad, every black young man and woman needs education. All right, well, let's open up the
phone line. Eight hundred five eight five one oh five one. It's college needed for this day and age. You know. Joan Rule says, yes, his daughter went to Hampton. He says he's pushing his kids to go to college or if God, he says, no, you know, I don't necessarily think my kids should go to college. I think that life lessons is more important than getting a college education. Eight hundred five eight five one oh five one. What
do you guys stay. I think that it depends. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer for a person, but I wouldn't discourage people from going. I understand some people feel like college is a very expensive debt to take on, but I also feel like for me personally, it was great for me to go to college. I don't regret it. I would encourage people, if you have the means to be able to make it happen, to do it. And it's I think for many different reasons,
which I'll explain when we come back. It's been really beneficial to me. But I know people can also be very successful and not go to college. So I can't say that you have to go or you shouldn't go. I think you said you said is it needed? Is this depending on what you want to do. If you want to be an attorney, a doctor, an engineer, you need it. As an attorney, not really, though you can also just be an apprentice, like what Kim Karda. I
thought you had to go to law school. But yeah, I mean it's I guess it's needed if you get into some of those fields, but it's not needed. I'm definitely I wouldn't want. You can't be a doctor if you don't go to right. But I'm with you to be an attorney without going We just talked about that. Yeah, but she's not going to law school. No, she's not. She's studying under attorneys. Yeah, that's the former school. Though she's not paying to go to any school. She's not attend.
I don't think you can be an attney without going to school. Well, that's that's what she's doing. She's doing it. I guess school. I don't know about that. Some people are so mad about that. She's just taking the ball type of classes though. No. Eight hundred five five one oh five one. What do you think it's college needed for this day and age. I don't necessarily think so. I think it depends on what you want to do. But I think we also have to change the curriculum
of colleges. We'll talk about it when we come back. Eight hundred five A five one or five wants to breakfast Club. Good morning the Breakfast Club Morning. Everybody is DJ M v Angela Yee, Charlemagne the guy. We are to breakfast club now. If you just joined us with talking college yesterday, IRV got in ji rule we're here. They were talking about college being a necessity. IRV said he doesn't necessarily feel like his son should go to college. Let's see what they had to say. I chose a
different route for my boys. I said college, and I took them with me. But if they wanted to go to college, yeah, but they didn't know what they wanted to do. Last people gonna be like that, that's a bad idea. That my kids make six figures, I'm cheating life basically for my kids. It was a time when it was illegal for a black person even he learned how to read. So why wouldn't you want your kids to be as smart as they can be. I want my kids to be successful. They can be successful after
they got college. I think, doing with dad, every black young man and woman needs education, and I kind of agree. I absolutely positively agree. Yes, there's some got it. There's some things that you have to go to college for certain jobs. But some of those jobs, no, you don't necessarily have to. I just remember going to school and some of the classes I had to take, like the periodic table elements. Have I ever used that? But I had to memorize that. But I've never used it a
day in my life. I didn't have a curriculum at my college, so I didn't have to take classes. I didn't want to take algebra for time three wasn't three point one four Like I've never used that ever again. But I feel like some of something is there. Gold be better to do internships, an apprentice and thing. You can do that and go to college. Yeah, but the college is really get it gets you a high buil
and sometimes the classes, the curriculums needs to change. Those curriculums have been the same for over two hundred years, but times have changed. There are some classes too that I took a Latin and the reason why I know English so well is because I took Latin because a lot of words in the English language derived from Latin. People might say it's a dead language, but it definitely has helped me with my vocabulary and understanding definitions. But I will say from college, I've gotten a lot of
opportunities that I wouldn't have gotten otherwise. And I know people that have raised money from graduates from alumni of their school and called up and raised millions of dollars to start a company. Well, I didn't go to college. So I'm the wrong president basketball college. But my wife went to the University of South Carolina, So I hope my daughters following her footsteps and go to college. And I also want my daughters to be entrepreneurs. But you
gotta listen to what Earth said. Irv is speaking from the perspective of a seven figure individual. God, he said he took his kids with him. God, he is an entrepreneur, he has businesses, and nepotism is real. And that's fine because that's what we all hustling for to be to be able to pass on more to our kids than just trauma. And it's a difference between education and certification. Education is what you learn from experience. Certification is what
you get from college. You get your bachelor's degree or socials degree, your masters degree, that's certification. Education is what you get by being out here, living and learning. And then you know a lot of people that graduate college, they start off making about forty to fifty thousand dollars a year, which is struggling, which is difficult. Once you have an apartment, you have a car, you pay for
your food, and then you pay your loans back. You broke, so you wouldn't change your whole Hampton experience and not gone to college. I was forced to go to Hampton. I'm the only person in my family go to college, so I had no choice. But I'm saying now that you look back, would you say, well, I didn't, I would not go there, Or would you say because you want your kids to go to college. I see you take your Madison on the school tours and everything. You
want your kids to go to college. It depends on what they want to do. If they want to do something that I think they have a strong curriculum, then yes. But like my daughter is into real estate, she also thinks she wants to be an attorney. So you know, going to school, there's no real real estate classes. They have one class or two classes. There's nothing that really teaches kids about real estate, just like coding. There's not too many classes that make kids take colding classes. These
are things that are very important in today's day and age. Now, are you sure about that because you haven't been to college in a long time, Are we sure not colden classes? And as there was not like there's not like a coding major in a lot of the colleges that my
daughter went. I went to at least nine age, you know, to nin HBCUs and they didn't have They had colden classes and they had real estate classes, but they didn't have anything as or major to really you know, they could give you a class, but not to really teach you. And sometimes people don't know what they want to do and then they go to college and they take a class in and find something that they love, Like like I took screenwriting, I took playwriting. I took all kinds
of things that I was somewhat interested in. So I now I had the capability to do those things that I didn't otherwise. And listen, I would tell kids too. You know, if you haven't figured it out and you have nothing else to do, when you graduate from high school, go to college. It's like going to the gym. It's not gonna hurt you, right, you know what I'm saying. To go get a degree. So while you're trying to
figure it out, at least you're in school. And you know, I'm the wrong person to talk to you about this because I didn't go to college. But always remember your net You're never as specialist me. What all right, I'm amazing what your mom will tell you special, because you know I'm special. Anybody got to tell me. Okay, bron ahead, yo, what's up? What's up? Oh? Man? You need a college. Bro, we're talking college as a college needed for today's day age.
Don't think so. Man. There's a lot of people that go to college, and you know it, don't even get jobs in the fields that they went to college in. Man, you know what I'm saying, what do you do? I'm in the army. Did you go to college? I did, and I don't have I didn't. You know what I'm saying. I didn't do anything. I'm not doing anything now now. I was the college for Okay, what you go to college for? Criminal justice? Actually? Oh, you want to be
an attorney or a police officer? Not necessarily correcttorney. Um. At the time, I really didn't know what I wanted to do with it. They took me to took the major and that's what I picked. I was young. I didn't even really know what I really wanted at the time. So you still got options. You could be a cop, right, could be a corrections officer. Did you feel like you learned? Did you feel like you learned anything valuable? I feel
like a lot of life lessons. But I don't feel like the college was the only way that I could have learned though, like lesson you know what I'm saying, Like, there's a lot of different ways. I mean, trades might be even better than college school. I agree with that. I like, we need to bring back trade schools, man, because those are the you can go get those jobs and get to work immediately and start making money. I ain't gonna like people that would do air conditions and
you know, no mechanics. Absolutely, yes, I do agree with that. Daryl. We've on to Daryl. Hey, what's up Charlemagne and what I'm saying we're talking college. You think college is needed for today's day and age. No, I don't think it is at all. I ain't go to college. I just got my high school diploma and I paint cars for a living, and I'm making way more money than people still in college. That's a great trade and out of college all they do once they get out of college back,
I got to pay what they just got out of college. Vote. Yeah, you know what, it's crazy you say. You paint cars and that's a huge industry and people are making millions of dollars, and a lot of people don't have a college degree. A lot of people just have a high school diploma. The fact, you know that rap that they put over cars to protect your cars, That rap cause five thousand dollars if you want to get that rap
in your car. And people are making a killing by just going to school learning how to put that rap on cars and then making a killer. That's something I think everybody should get into. Learn a freaking trade. You know how many people you know sheet metal workers and the iron and steel workers, they make a lot plumbers they always gonna eat. That's always brick masons man eight five A five one oh five one. We're just having a discussion about college. Is it needed for this day
and age? Call us now it's the Breakfast Club, the Morning cj Envy, Angela Yee, Charlomagne, the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Now if you just joined us, we're talking about college is it needed for this day and age? That This conversation came from Earth Gotti and Jyru, who were on the show yesterday. List here. I chose a different route for my boys. I said college, and I took them with me. But if they wanted to go to college. Yeah, but they didn't know what they wanted
to do. Last people are gonna be like, no, that's a bad idea that my kids make six figures, I'm cheating life. Basically for my kids. It was a time when it was illegal for a black person even he learned how to read. So why wouldn't you want your kids to be as smart as they can be? Want my kids should be successful. They can be successful, have to then gos coming without college? But think doing with dad.
Every black young man and woman needs education. We keep saying needed, like I don't, I don't know things need. I don't think it's needed. It's needed. Depending for every one time they said college was needed to get a good job, you needed a college education fields you needed degree. I think it depends on what you want to do. Like if you want to be a doctor, you want to be an engineer, an attorney, We've talked about that earlier. U you have to have some type of degree except
for like four states, like the grand attorney. So like if you want to be in those type of fields, you have to go to you got to go to school for that. Now, other things, a lot of entrepreneurship. No, you really don't. Well, you know, you know how we were talking about. Sometimes you know, they made the laws hundreds of years ago, and now times a change and sometimes they have to adjust certain things. That's what I
feel the same way with the college curriculum. I feel like, yes, back in the day, a lot of the stuff that we needed, the periodic tables, okay, cool, but hell, they times have changed. I don't even know what the periodic tables are, all right, I'm not evenna tell you what I think about when you take periods? What are you doing? Periodic table? What do you doing? Not saying? What's a two water? That's periodic table? That's from the periodic tables?
To see water, it's never wake up, it's water H two O though en oxygen and all that what I'm saying. But I have to memorize that as a kid in college. Oh yeah, and if you wanted to be like a chemist or something like that. But again, like I said, when I was in college, we didn't have a core curriculum, so I only took classes I felt like taking. I was doing photography, I was doing screenwriting, I was doing some fun classes. I think I did religions of African
American people. I took classes like that. Curriculum should be like entrepreneur classes. They should make you take those type of classes. They should make you take real estate classes, investment classes, they should make you take those type of classes. I agree with the person who called last break man trade school is the move because you can go there and learn. So it's so many different like like think about the elevator installers and repairs the other day to
lady got stuck here at the radio station. That's what they had to call. You know what I'm saying, that's what you're interested in. Yeah, but I'm electrical and electronic repair as boilermakers. Like, if you want to make some money, learning the trade is the way to go. Hello, who's this hey, Alicia. We're talking as college needed for this day and age well as a person who acquired her masters from NYU. Absolutely, but I feel that you can
acquire education through multiple ways. You don't necessarily have to acquire your education through one venue because after living in multiple countries and looking at externships, apprenticeships, I feel that there are other ways. But having an education is crucial because you have to know where you came from you know where you're going. I think it's a difference between education and certification. Education is what you learn from experience.
Certifications what you get from college, because you gotta think you gotta highly educated people like Malcolm X who didn't go to college. Is it because they read everything in the library and they lived life experience, right, And I don't disagree. But I'm a person as an educator. I'm a school teacher. I worked with at rich kids and I worked as well as in the mental health in field.
So those things that I acquired while being a this is my second like this, this is my second life and education because I was a dancer first, I tour it all over and then I went back and got my education so that I could be a teacher, so that I can make a difference on another level. Right, So in order for that to happen, I have to
have that education, I have to have that knowledge. It would take me even longer to acquire that knowledge or be certified within that place of where you have that certification for you to say, hey, this piece of paper says I'm qualified and qualified to teach. No, this piece of paper just says that for the other folks who need to not understand that I have the two religion of knowledge. This is for you, but for me being able to say I can do this on another level,
you have to acquire education. Thank you, mamma. But you know, you know what I was thinking, Like we both were saying the same thing right when I took my daughter on that college tour and we went to about nine nine to eleven schools, and she was talking to the different counselors and they were talking about different majors. And when they said that, yeah, after four years, you get a job and you make anywhere from forty two to fifty thousand dollars, my daughter was like forty two to
fifty thousand. My daughter, she did the math for herself. By the time I get a place to live, a decent car, food, and I got to pay these loans back up, I have a loan. How much money do I have left? I have nothing left. I can't enjoy myself. And what wands up happening? You have to get credit cards. Now you're in debt. Now your credit card called. Now your credit sucks, and now you're back into the same hole that you are in. A life exchanging experience for me.
It was a nice transition from high school to real life. For me. It was a great way for me to learn how to be an adult, but still being an environment with people that are like minded like me and people that I have, you know, friendships with forever and networking with people that I do business with still to this day. And I do feel that I learned a lot in college and I wouldn't take that back. It was a great for me personally. It was a great experience.
It dependal kind of life you're living. Like I said, education and certification are two different things. Like I think education is just life experience, living and learning. You know, I'm saying networking with people like that, like that's a great that's a great experience as well. Eight hundred five, A five, one or five when we're talking college this morning isn't needed for this day and age callers now, it's the breakfast club. Everybody is DJ Envy, Angela Yee,
Charlomagne the guy, we are the breakfast club. Now if he just joined us with talking this college needed for today's day and age, I were taking your calls a lot of people on the line. It's definitely not needed sleeves. What up sleeves? Slease? What college did you graduated from? My brother high sleeve? I ain't go to college. No, I don't believe that, slease. No, I ain't go to college. But but but at the same time, you don't need to go to college to be a successful individual or
anything like that. What do you do? Slease? Um? I work at the airport? Okay? What you got day in part? Bro, I'm actually a cook at the airport. Okay, at what restaurant? Land Shark? But they just they just told they renovating right now. So you're chef? You you went to culinary school or something? Nah? I actually just learned from my people. But who is your people? You know how that? You know how that goes? I used to cook, we used to cook crack, and then you turn that into you know,
being a good chef. See. See that's the stereotype right there, Charlotte. I'm gonna tell you what another stereotype is. I don't want to name. Please cooking my goddamn food? All right, I hope you Mamonica, my name is. My name is Cabar. All right, Cabar, there you go, thank you? Now, you don't you don't need to go to college to be a little successful in the bedroom individual look at you.
That's very true. When I'm special, when y'all gonna, when y'all gonna realize I'm special, Your mama tell you special. I don't. I'm special, Marina. God shines on me a different way. Breath from much over. God gave me on the phone with you guys. What's up. Hey, let's Immu from westfle Um. I think that you don't really necessarily
need to go to college because think about it. I look with people to hear Bachelor just making a team as made like they saw even it's like they got all this bet they can't even enjoy money on the same level. Cisting you went to weird, I make community and like not to doubt an. I mean, you don't not to put a body deal, but it's like and don't put me down. But your entrepreneur skills probably different.
You know what I'm saying. You probably know how to hustle and do and make some money on your own. They're probably looking at your jobs. Well, since you're talking about hustling, Uncle Charlotte, I have a podcast that's on Apple Podcast. Okay, it's just this chet and it's Brillon bridd in this Black Girl Magic. I'm about to cry because I've been waiting for this opportunity. I listened to
you on every day. I read your books, I listened to list Service and you know Gea, and like I'm about to cry, Well, we're gonna the name of your podcast it's just this chet. The pictures black Girl Magic. It is by Brian Bridge. We talk about everything. It's a it's a dynamic melan melanin duo at the cry um, she's sweet, I'm the sultry, so it's like it's it's popping. We talk about everything. We even I always quote true, so don't get no. I appreciate it. Everybody go check
out Brie and Brie. I still can't understand the name of your podcast, slipping No, no, I ain't gonna do this opportunity over. Charlotte said, it's quote simply chat, sipping chat, sipping chat. All right, all right, got you? Yes? And the picture it's called black Girl Magic when you see it, not some other ones, because I'm at the trade markers because they they want it simp all right, mama, all right, baby, I respect the husban. Thank you. You got it? Hello,
who's this aready house? Hey? Now we're asking that you think it's college needed for today's day and age. Um personally not for everything. But I'm a college student from a poor neighborhood, so college is important to me. I feel like education is supporting. Like Rule said, I do feel like because my ancestors fall for um education, we should check up the opportunity. It's nothing wrong, well educate ourselves as black people in the black community. Education isn't
it's especial for some people. Get the purpose? All right, thank you, I'm with it, thank you. I just really think they need to change the curriculum. And I told you a story about that guy I was on a panel with that. I went to Duke and he said he couldn't raise any money for his company that he started, and then he started. Somebody recommended, why don't you hit up the alumni from your college, And he went in.
He alumni that he never even met before, and he raised millions of dollars that way, just because they went to the same college. And I would also say, man, I would tell kids, if you haven't figured it out and you have nothing else to do when you graduate, from high school, go to college. It's like going to the gym. It's not gonna hurt you. But also, don't sleep on trade school because people leave trade school and
go and get jobs immediately. But don't listen to me because I didn't go to college, nor did I go to trade school. And none of y'all are specialist me. I don't know you. I mean your mom said you special? Who else said you special? God? I am blessed, black and highly favored. Okay, it's definitely special. God shines his light on me in a different way. So please don't look at me as an example, because you'll never be me. Special education, absolutely yeah, And shout to all the trade
schools out there. Shout to Lincoln Tech. Shout to all the students out there that's really trying to get a trade and really trying to get it in man, trade school is the wave I'm telling you. Like, everything in this room requires somebody to have some type of trade, some type of skill, because they got to fix the microphones, fix the boards, fix the computers, everything in this building. They got. The elevator got stuck the other day. They
had to call the elevator repair people. Plumbers like go learn a trade. You will make money immediately. Absolutely. All right, Well we got rooms all the way. Yes. Since we're talking about being successful, let's talk about this billionaire that might be on Shark Tank. Did he go to college? I don't think so. All right, we'll get into that next. Keep a lock this to Breakfast Club. Good morning, Mounting. Everybody is DJ M v Angela Yee, Charlomagne the guy.
We are the breakfast Club. Hey, good morning to Tina and Na. Tina as an executive death Jam. She has us on right now. Good morning, Tina. One one of my favorite people in this business. You know what I'm saying. She works at death Jam. Right, Hey, bestie executi right now, She's like, please, don't say nothing crazy figures crossed? Why are you always talking? It's about me? If I'm one of your favorite people, I don't talk about Natina. They do just a little bit, don't And about def Jam. Oh,
you know, Defen can do better. They def Jam sees their quotely numbers. They know they can do better. All right, let's leave you think they don't know. All right, Let's get to the rumors. Let's tell listen just oh my gosh, the rumor, report got angel, it's the rum of report breakfast club. Well, jay Z people want to see him on Shark Tank. Amongst those people that want to see him because that a billionaire is Barbara Corkran. Here's what she had to say. He's a self promoter. He works
his ass off. Why shouldn't he be a village? Is like the best you think the ultimate shark, Right, he's the best businessman and then he'll get shark Why not he gets invited? Who the hell is that woman? Who is that? You don't know who Barbara Corkoran is? No, she's a big real estate the real estate mugu who's on sho You never heard of? Corkran sold a lot of New York. She owns a lot of New York. She's hue, but Corkran is a real estate agency and she's on Shark Tank. You don't know Shark Tank as
much as you like. See, this is y'all problem. Right, you like to say explain everything. It's plain what water is. But when you know something you think everybody knows it. You should have said who is Barbara Cochrane? I'm like we changed it around it. When I don't know something, I say, explaining it, you got people should you don't watch Shark Tank? No, I don't. Oh wow, okay, when everybody watch the Shark you don't. And I don't think that.
I don't think that. Explain every Shark Tank is always gone too. That's why I don't explain why. I understand why you explaining the same goal for you? You don't assume people know who that is. I just do when I explained it, everybody should know Envy. Well you Okay, my bad, I'm sorry. I didn't think that. I did think that what is Nike? What is Nike? See what I'm saying. See, I didn't think that Barbara Corkin was well known, but I guess not. All right? Now, Lee
Daniels is developing a whole Daniels. He is a gay icon drop on a club. Why can't he just be an icon? Because he's a gay icon, not a regular icon. He's nothing regular about Lee Daniels. Anyway, he's developing a Sammy Davis junior miniseries and he's doing it with Tom Hanks. So who are these people? You know who? Tom Hanks is gay? So they haven't given us an official release date. And Tyler Perry never heard of Tyler Perry. You would
think that. Imagine you wanted to get a job working for Tyler Perry, and you're like, let me be creative, not just gonna give somebody my head shot and a resume. This one woman decided to actually get a whole billboard. Raquel Bailey is her name. I thought that thousands of dillars to put billboards up in Atlanta asking Tyler Perry for a job. I thought that was great. The billboard said, attention,
mister Perry, Raquel Bailey is your next leading lady. Well he posted it, but he didn't think it was so great. He said, So here's the deal. This is not the way to get my attention. If you're looking for a role in one of my shows, please don't do this. Save your money. This is the third time that someone has done this. Please stop to audition is free. I'm sure you can use that money for a better purpose.
I love that you want to work with me, and I love that you invest in yourself, But when you do things like this, it puts my team on hiler and makes me look at you sideways. I know the message that you want to send is a positive one. But this comes across as the opposite. Well, it definitely got Tyler's attention, and she just didn't get her a job. The only thing that's gonna get her a job is for her to go in there an audition and be
good and then she'll get a job. But it definitely did get his attention, and that's what she wanted, and I thought that wasn't to me, I thought that was great. I was like, yoh, that's smart. Are opposite of what she wanted, though, But hopefully somebody will give her a job now, if it's not Tyler Perry, maybe somebody else. But they're not gonna get her a job because of the billboard. They're gonna get her a job because she's actually good. Now will she get called into some more
auditions because of that billboard? Maybe? I don't know. It's no guarantee, right, but at least people will know she is now she put that billboard up. If she comes for a you know, a casting call, you might pay extra attention to her because of that billboard. Yeah, you're the woman that was on the billboard. But if you trash, you track like yo, you know the girl has on the billboard. She came in the audition and she's Terrible's true? Remember her? Even more correct? I thought some people have
good auditions and bad ones. Good days, bad days. All right, I'm Angela yea, and that's your rumor report. All right, thank you, miss ye Charlemagne. Yeah, speaking of Billman, can you explain who Charlomagne is? I am that's no, that's true. That's why our consultant didn't. Clark said we should always reintroduce ourselves to people because we're always on the new markets. So this is the Breakfast Club Charlemagne naturally syndicated radio show.
I am Charlotmagne. I'm one third of the Breakfast Club. Yes, Charlemagne used to be dog Skinnies. Light Skinny findles me every morning that this dog skin bag you're talking about I don't know about. Then I don't know this doctor person that used to find to you? Who is this guy? There's a dogskined man and here findal and you should tell somebody. We could all be in danger. Okay, danger get that dog you too, man. We need this. A young man named Chad Focus to come to the front
the congregation. We'd like to have a word with him. Okay, this is this is I don't even know what you call this, but we're gonna talk about it before after that. All right, that's next, keep it Loctice to breakfast club, Gomore. It's time for Donkey of the Day. I'm a Democrat, so being Dunky of the day a little bit of a mixed so like a dog day. Now, I've been called a lot in my twenty three years. That Donkey
of the day is a new wife. Donkey to day for Thursday, June six goes to a Baltimore rapper named Chad Focused. Chad, I need to talk to you, and I need to talk to everyone taking penitentiary chances for their career. Okay, nothing wrong with investing in yourself. In fact, you should invest in yourself. But it's a right way to invest in yourself in a wrong way to invest in yourself. We'll get back to that in a moment. Okay, that's what Chad wants to be. Ladies and gentlemen, I
told y'all already, right a rapper, Okay, I listen. I tell every aspiring artist I meet that on the road to chasing your dreams, investing in your dreams, you also have to deal and invest in your reality. Okay, your reality is bills need to be paid, you need to eat, rents due, car payments, whatever. Okay, you got monthly fees just like the rest of us. And one thing I can't stand to see is someone putting all their eggs in one basket. All right. You can't limit yourself to
one hustle. So once again, in the pursuit of your dreams, you have to deal with your reality. But for some reason, people think they can't do both. It's so strange to me, especially you know these kids that are in college, like it's twenty four hours in a day, one hundred and sixty one hundred and sixty eight hours in a week. If you're working forty hours a week, right, whatever job it is, doesn't matter, whatever it is, you can take
care of your monthly bills, all right. If you go to school, you might be in class twenty hours a week. You can even add on another twenty year study time just to be safe. That's eighty hours a week accounting for all right, job school, So you still got eighty eight hours to play with. You can do whatever you want with that eighty eight hours. Because your reality is
being taken care of. So if you want to pursue a music career and be a producer, if eighty eight hours a week isn't enough time to fit that in, then you're not hustling right to me? Now, Chad Focus is his name. He had a day job, right, he was dealing with his reality. He worked as a search engine optimization specialist for several years at an unnamed company. I don't even know what a search engine optimization specialist is,
but it's a job he had for several years. And the company gave him an American Express card, So this might This ain't no job, This is a career, right If you get an MBAX card right yep, to make company purchases it all right? Now, if you got a job for several years, I would assume you're making enough money to invest. Maybe not the way you want to, of course, but you got something to make some kind
of investment into your career. Rap career. Nonetheless, Chad Focus had a bright idea, ladies and gentlemen, a bright idea that has landed him in jail. I think we know where this is going. I mean, come on, to be a successful rapper, you have to have some kind of jail record right, Let's go to w jay Z CPS
thirteen for the report. Police Baltimore rapper known as Chad Focus look to be living a lavish lifestyle, showing off cars and muddy in a major social media following, but prosecutors say it was all allegedly paid for with stolen money. He looked like an artist on the rise, his music videos averaging four million views on YouTube with thousands of
followers on Instagram. An indictment released Tuesday says Airington worked as a search engine analyst at an unnamed company, where he was issued a company credit card for business expenses, but prosecutors say that between January twenty fifteen in August twenty eighteen, he used it to make four point one million dollars and unauthorized purchases purchases such as concert tickets, billboards,
audio equipment, and travel expenses. The indictment also says he brought followers on social media and paid outside platforms to artificially increase plays on streaming services. He took a number of steps to basically cover up his tracks and make it much much harder for his employer to figure out what he was doing, and stealing over the course of time.
Those steps include allegedly forging signatures from supervisors signing off the purchases, and having co conspirators use computer software to falsify billing statements. The Baltimore Rappers career now coming to a screeching end as he faces up to twenty years behind bars for conspiracy, wire fraud, and aggravated identity theft. Lord have mercy cha, Chad want to be a city girl so bad? God, he sweared that someone was gonna be scammed a season. Chad Focus, you should change your focus,
all right. You just ruined your rap career. You just ruined your life, all right for a rap career that was never gonna happen for you. Right. Let me tell you something. If you invest four points something million dollars into your rap career and I've never heard of you until now, you must be trash, all right. Chad Focus had a billboard in Times Square. The billboard said, Chad Focus number one artists in the world. Has anybody here ever seen that billboard? I've never seen it now, I've
never see theesel. If a tree falls into forest and no one is there to see it, did it really fall. Hell, yes it did. If a billboard goes up in time square and nobody notices, did you waste your money on it? To answer this, hell, yes you did? All right Now. Instead of a record deal, Chad Focus has a federal indictment, and he is charged with wire fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, and aggravated identity. As I said, it's a right way to invest in a wrong way to invest.
This was indeed the wrong way. Please give Chad Focus the sweet sounds of the Hamletones. Oh no you are do gee, Oh the da gee, oh the day? Yeh, yeah, that wasn't I'm out the record the show. It wasn't until about fifteen twenty seconds ago. I said, Yo, we should actually download his music and hear what it sounds like. I'm not doing it, fighting urge. Nope, your investment was terrible,
all right, your investment. Will your investment sucks? Chat not giving you that like downloading your music, nor will I play it. He spent a lot of bread four point something million dollars. Does this music sounds? I have no idea? You don't know. Will I find out? Don't care? All right, Well, thank you for that. You gonna be a scammer. You gotta have jam in music as the city girls. All right, right up next ask ye eight hundred five eight five one oh five one. If you need relationship advice, any
type of advice, call ye right now. It's the Breakfast Loual Morning, the Breakfast Club, Got Bullies, Breakast break Death Breakdad Blea. You used to call me on myself phone club. It's time for ask YEA. Hello, who's this. It's Keen John Man with up. What's up? Bro? What's your question for you? Man? I wanted to basically know how to get out the friends zone with this one chick. Basically, Bro, I kind of set myself up and I'm just trying to figure out how to get out the friends zone. Okay,
so friends zone. So she doesn't know that you like her. I mean I think she do, but at the same time, like I don't want to come out like with that, like because I don't basically built a friendship whatever where we talk to each other about everything. Like I know the dude she messed with, she know the females I messed with, and I'm trying to like get out of that and like let her know, like I won't choose.
Have you taken her out on a date yet? Yeah? Yeah, we actually, uh we went out before um and I bought her you know, I bought her something for her birthday or whatever. Little stuff like that, but nothing is serious. Though. Well, since you guys are already so close with each other, maybe you should ask her to go on vacation with you. Yeah it's dope, though, mused, go on Orlando two hun July.
So that's dope. Well, I don't envy her because I don't know how to really do that though, Like, how can I like really ask what do you go into Orlando for? Oh, just a family vacation. I'm taking my son down it. Oh and she knows your son already. Yeah, yeah, she knows my son. I just want to make sure that's not a weird situation to have her around your whole family. She knows your whole family, No that she don't. She don't know my whole family. So you would like
for you guys to start talking. But I don't know if that's a good time because that's a lot of pressure. Yeah. I mean, what you think I could do to get her, like to kind of make that mood, to like get her to see me in a different way. I think that you guys should do something together. It shouldn't be a family vacation. That's too much, too soon, but it should be the two of you, one on one. And I wouldn't even have your son involved. I think it should just be the two of you, even if it's
like a weekend getaway. And that's how you can tell. Ay, if she decides to go with you, and you guys decide to share a room, then clearly she's may be interested as well, and then you can let her know if the vibe is right while you're on that trip, that you like her and see if she feels the same. Okay, I appreciate you, but I do feel like if she agrees to go with you knowing that it's kind of a romantic trip of the two of you, then she
must have some type of feeling. But if you want to take it to the next level, you got to make those moves right right right, that's true. I thank you. I just want to say real quick, y'all let me go. I love y'all show and I check y'all out every time I get a chance to. You know what I'm saying, But one time, y'all get a chance checking me. I'm king John Man. I got a little album out, all right, bro, have a good one, man, Okay, ask ye eight hundred five A five one on five one if you need
relationship advice, Kola. Right now, it's the breakfast Club. Good morning, good morning. Everybody is DJ Envy Angela Yee, Charlomagne the guy we are the breakfast Club up with in the middle of ask ye what you want to go to? Ye? I'm nine three? Hello? Who's this hand? This is an animous? Hey, anonymous?
What's your courses for? Ye? Okay? So I am nineteen and my boyfriend is like ten years older than he and so recently we got into a huge argument and he's like, you can't do anything without me, this, this, and that. So I went and got me another apartment finely, And he doesn't know yet. But my question is like, when is a good time to tell him? I was thinking, like, give him a month of time, or just not tell him at all and just move out. So you guys
are breaking up, yes, but he doesn't know that. He thinks everything is all coomed by y'all because he does this a lot, like he's like Um, he said things to try to like mentally break me down, and I'm just over it at this point. Okay, Well, right or wrong, I'm gonna tell you what I would do if it was me. When did your newly start? It starts August the first, and you'll be living there with him until then. Yeah,
I would probably wait until he's not home. I know he's not gonna be there, pack up all my stuff, get on up out of there, and then let him know once my stuff is gone and I'm not there anymore. Oh that's good. Yeah, that's what I would do, just because clearly he's mentally abusive to you. Has he ever put his hands on you? Well, he tried, and I beat his ass. Fuck. Yeah, once things start getting physical
and all of that, I wouldn't trust it. So I wouldn't want to have to stay someplace with somebody who might get physical with me. So what I would do is on a day when I know he's not gonna be home all day, if I have to take off from work while he's at work, make sure I get all my stuff about it there, and then once I'm going to be like, I probably wouldn't, I might not even call him I might just leave a note and be like, hey told you I didn't need you anymore.
Have a good life. Oh yeah, that's good. I think I might do that. All right, Well, good luck, and I'm glad you're getting out of a toxic relationship. Thank you so much. All right, we're proud of you. All right, good luck, Mama. Ask ye eight hundred five five one oh five one. If you need relationship advice, any type of advice, you can call ye. Now, now we got rumors on the way, y. Yes, we have that nine one one call that was made with Jesse Smillett when
he was allegedly attacked in Chicago. So we'll play that for you. All right. We'll get into all that when we come back. Keeping locked this to Breakfast Club. Good morning the Breakfast Club. This is the rule of report with Angela Yeast Club. So they have released the phone call, the nine one one call that Jesse Smillett's manager made when Jesse Smillett was allegedly attacked in Chicago. Now here
is that call. I just need a police to come by, m I worked with an artist I don't want really want to say his name, but he went through subway. He was walking by some guys. I don't know if he jumped in or something like that, and I just want to report it and make sure he's all right. Does your friend need an ambulance? I just think it's pretty weird, man, just because I'm here and I don't know what it is. They think they put a new surround his neck. Okay, this is a well known person
watched for the police. All right, So they finally have just now released that Callum. Now, Wendy Williams, what did that prove? Like, what was the point of that just to say it? I mean, right now, all this information is getting leaked from the case and getting released. So this is just the first time we've all heard this nine one one call that was made when it happened. I don't know what it proves, but it doesn't mean
they don't prove anything. It proved. Jesse called his manager after this whatever situation happened, and his manager relayed the message that Jesse gave him right and they said that he didn't want to fole a report, but he was going to make Jesse fole a report, all right, Wendy Williams, she's trying to do a sit down interview and allegedly she wanted to do it, maybe perhaps on gil King, but gil King felt like it might be a little
bit too much for her show. So I don't believe even though gil King was at the top of Wendy's list, They said her people want either a morning show or an hour long trimetime special. They wanted to sit down with a big name anchor. They said gil King was at the top of the list, according to The Daily Mail, but she turned it down. Gil King said, it's not clear.
They said, it's not clear why gil King turned it down, but there's a lot of talk that they felt like maybe it was a little too trashy from Morning Telling. I don't believe that story at all. I don't I think that is Yeah, that would be ratings goal. I think that's a completely made up story. Said, oh a morning show, that would be ratings god. I can't see why in the Daily Mail Morning show. The Daily Mail is usually accurate, but it broke a lot of the
stories about Wendy. Yeah, and if if Gail did turn it down, it's probably because she just doesn't want to do it at the moment, because she probably wants one dy to heal, but it's not. I don't think it's any I don't believe any of that. Always messy. She don't want to do it. Nonsense. All right. Dayne Wade is putting out his memoirs and that's going to come
out in October. It's called three Dimensional, so it's going to focus on his life story and his professional accomplishments, and that follows his story a father first, How My Life Became Bigger than Basketball. That book came out into twelve, all right. Michael Jackson's estate is now saying that HBO is in breach of a contract, and that's because they had a non disparagement clause back in nineteen ninety two.
Michael Jackson had that non disparagement clause with HBO. So now the estate is suing for one hundred million dollars saying that HBO was in breach of contract when they developed an air leaving Neverland because they had that long standing contractual relationship. All right. So now, Lathan, she said that when she was filming loving basketball, it was miserable for her. Not part of the reason was she had to learn how to play basketball. She had all these
professional NBA players around her. It was a lot of stress, a lot of pressure, and she also did not feel like she was a top pick for that role. They really wanted a basketball player who could act, but when that didn't work out, she was kind of like the you know, consolation. I guess here's what she said. I was miserable because I got the job. And I think Gina, you know, it finally got to the point where she had to hire somebody, and when she's almost like she
hired me because she couldn't find somebody else. So it wasn't there wasn't a lot of joy, and there wasn't a lot of trust in me. I was like the default, and that's hard. First of all, she did a phenomenal job. She did, so they say, we would never think that though watching that movie, it looked like she was, you know, she killed it. Or did they want a basketball player to play on my part? Because one was pretending to be a basketball player in that movie as well, so
did they want a basketball player to play his role too? Um? I have no idea enough maybe who knows. But it was also Gina Prince Bathwood's first movie that she directed, so I'm sure there was a lot of added stress because of that, and it was like her baby film so classic. God damn it dropped on a clues bombs for Loving Basketball all right tonight. Layton is actually in two of my favorite movies of all time. Loving Basketball is one, Brown Sugar is the other. Brown Sugar is
the greatest rom calm. Ever, don't debate me on these type of things, Okay, I'm not here to argue with you all right now. According to the New York Post, they're saying that DJ Kalin is upset, and he's upset because his album Father of a Side was not the number one album was number two, and according to the New York Posts, he went up to the label and went off on them. So, oh, you're mad at the label. Can't be mad at the label in a situation like that happened as you came out the same week as
Tyler the Creator. Tyler the Creator has a more organic connection right with people, and Tyler the Creator sold more records. It's just that something maybe the label didn't do something that they were supposed to know. The label did everything they supposed to do. Kala had the machine behind him. But that's what I keep trying to tell y'all. The machine doesn't really matter nowadays if you have a real
organic connection with the people. So you can have as many labels behind you as you want, you can have as many videos as you want, you can get all the radio radio rotation in the world. That's not going to drive people to your music if they don't want it. Still did he still did very well. Let's be clear,
they're good. He greeted that people didn't won his music, but he also, according to this report, he was upset that the label didn't fight for him because he had done this bundle deal and those albums that were sold in that bundle deal, the downloads did not count. It was a bundle deal with an energy drink, and those weren't included in his Else by Billboard, what the creative all the records organs number one that week just being Organic Act. And by the way, they're both on Sony,
so the number one and owns epic. All right, Chris Brown and Drake are going to be putting out a song together. It's what it looks like, all right. Chris Brown posted a picture of himself for Drake and says summertime about to get a lot hotter. So that's what people are speculating. Looks like they have something new coming out, all right, um, And then it was tweeted out that Chris and Drake song is the song of the summer day parties, pool parties and roller skating rank vibes. That's
according to songwriter Nija Charles. I also want to say Kalin has no reason to be table. No, seriously, Kali gets Hella promotion. Bro, he gets more promotion than Calla. When Kala comes out, gets all the radio playing the world videos. Tiger might be a second. He's on Tigers, Mess with you Tiger. He's on like Callin is on everything. Not when his album comes out, it's bigger than the can sol No, all right, well I'm manage yeah, And that's your rumor. Reporter just didn't sell as much as
Tyler as Tyler guy. I just think Tyler has a more organic connection with people, and he's got a real like follow. We like, we like Kalid, But I don't know if people rush out to buy Kalid's album this album maybe single singles, not the album, not revote you're not hear them? All right, Well we're not here tomorrow. We'll be in San Antonio votes not here tomorrow, but everybody else will revote, will be back Monday. You guys will be back money. Okay, all right, Well, the people's
choice mixes up next, we vote. We'll see you on Monday. It's the Breakfast Lug, the Morney e j Envy, Angela Yee, Charlomagne, the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Hey, I go. I'm really tripping off this DJ Kali story from found the New York Posts, page six. So we don't know, we don't know if it's true or not. Yeah, we'll explain it again. Um. Allegedly, they said that he was upset that his album was number two and number one. He didn't like that we're the second best, the second
best stud I'm gonna be honest with you. I don't now that I think about it, I don't believe that story about college. The reason I don't believe that because the CALLI seems like the type person that gratitude. It is always his attitude. But if that is true, I'm I'm very disappointed in Kalid, only because Calid gets a lot of promotion. Bro. But it's not even it's not even child's fault. It's just the fact that the machine
is dead. There's no such thing as the machine. No more like you can have the machine behind you and it can push your album and it can push your record, but if it don't have an organic connection with the people, it's not gonna go right, simple as that, Tyler to create a soul more record than Klid that week because Tyler has a colt like following and he has an organic connection with people. And I see people saying, Yo,
the album is dope. The album's dope, dobums dope. I don't matter how many features you got, how much radio spins you got, if you don't have that organic connection with the people, they're not going to gravitate towards it. Simple and can't no machine make them. Gosh, you're really upset about this whole calend I'm just saying, it's just like weird. Well, congratulations Calid on a great album in the number two spot for the first week. They'll great
all right when we come back. We got your positive note, don't move. It's to Breakfast Club, Good morning, putting Everybody's DJ, Envy Angela Yee, Charlomagne the guy. We are the Breakfast Club now on Charlemagne, you got a positive note for the people. Bro Well, Yo. First of all, I want to tell everybody man, if you're in New York today, I will be at Macy's. No, I'll be there at
five thirty pm. I'm having a discussion and a meet and greet about you know, mental health and my books Shook Win Anxiety, Playing tricks on Me and is hosted by Gia Peppers. So today at five thirty pm, I will be at Macy's Harold Square in the men's department on the third floor. So pull up and have a discussion with me in Macy's. Okay, and anything too is an amazing person a rocketji. Now the positive note is simply this the world is we have created. It is
a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking. That is Albert Einstein preface Club. You finish it, y'all, dumb
