This is where I respect this show because this is a voice of society. Sames in the game. Guys are the coveted morning show. But y'all earning exacting the coach. They wake up in the morning and day want to hear that. But the world's most dangerous morning show.

Good morning Usa. Yo ya ya ya yo ya ya ya ya ya ya ya ya yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo. I don't see angela ye, she's about to walk in, all right, Chalomigne. The gud piece to the planet is Friday. Good morning Friday. Here, it's definitely Friday. We got a really action packed show for you today. I know a lot of shows say that, but they can't back it up. All right, now we can't.

We have We have Chloe joining us, Chloe Bailey joining us this morning, Chloe Bailey, my cousin, Oh stop it, don't hate my South Carolina cousin. That's not your cousin to see, well, exactly, that's the stupid thing to say when y'all know she said that, but you know that's my cousin. Yes. Also also JB. Smooth will be joining us to comedian actor JB. Smooth. That's right. Kurby Enthusiasm season what twelve is coming. Leon Black is his character

on there. I think he joined Curban's season six. He was Vivica Fox's brother, and Vivica Fox's character was dating Larry David. Oh wow, that's how he joined the show. They were living in their house they had gotten displaced from Hurricane Katrina, and then Larry David broke up with his wife and then he started dating Vivica Fox and then they broke up. But Leon never left, so that's

why he's still there. That's the best thing about watching those shows, because when you go back and you watch the old episodes, you'd be like, oh, that was such a such you know, because a lot of times to be somebody who then blew up now and you'd be like, you didn't realize that back then. Curb Your Enthusiasm one of my favorite show, so it was coming back on I think October twenty fourth. But they always have a lot of great guest appearances, so that's what I like about.

I think Vince Vaughan was on the last season, Chaz Boner was on there, a lot of different people. I feel the Sikes used to be on there. I remember when one of used to be on it. I feel great today. It's tgif. Okay. Tgif means t ght. So thank god it's Friday and the God's on its truth for my late night talk show comes on tonight at ten pm on Comedy Central and Mercury is still in Gatorade with so you know, rechel Grade. So what are we talking about tonight on the show? Uh, it's social

media the Devil, okay, And we have Tristan Harris. I don't know if you have seen that that Netflix documentary The Social Dilemma. Tristan Harris will be on there. It's social media the Devil. Should it be discussed on social media? Well, no, it's called the Social Dilemma. That was the name of the documentary on Netflix. Yes, And I'm in Phoenix and we have Cal Newport on digital minimalism. To Angel's point,

because you know, they say everything in moderation right. Yes, there's a reason why social media should be in moderation. That's why cal Newport wrote the book Digital Minimalism. He'll be on there to night as well. We have to unplug a little bit. All right. Well, I'm in Phoenix. I you know, I'm trying to do the my Car show out in Phoenix. So I had to come out here and check out a couple of venues. So I came here, and while I was in the airport, I

lost my phone. And you know, without having a phone, I know what was going on with you. It's very difficult. I couldn't call an uber, I couldn't check my flight information, I couldn't check account information. And then you do have a phone. You just lost one phone, yeah, but the other phone, I don't have anybody's number, and that's kind of just like my back of phone, and I don't I didn't have Sean Lemagne's new number. I only had your number, Gear's number, and my parents number in that phone.

Everybody holds of somebody didn't have family, so I get so I called ye, like ye, can you send me everybody's number. I didn't have Charlemagne's new number. I couldn't call a labor eleven o'clock at night. I was knocked out. It was all bad. You realize how important your phone? Yeah, you didn't text me back eighteen hours later. You used to realize how important your phone is? How to how to connected we are to our phones. Like the fact that you lost your phone in your whole world went

to shambles. That's not my whole world. That was very dramatic, my wife, I just can't call the Uber. I just call the Uber, especially being at all of us are old enough to remember at the time and we didn't need those things. Lord have mercy. But it was just the Uber thing because it's so convenient to call the uber through your phone. I could not call the uber to get a cash Sometimes you can't even get one and they tell you you just need to call it uber. Yeah,

so I left it at the phone. So anybody, if you see a phone at the airport, Phoenix Airport, it's mine. Please please, I'm cash at yourself, cash at myself. All right, Well, let's get the show cracking front page news. What we're talking about, Well, let's talk about Steve and Nash. She's talking about Kyrie Irving's Instagram live and his thought, it's on how to move forward. All right, we'll get into

all that when we come back. It's the breakfast clogal morning, Ain't morning everybody, It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlemagne, the guy we all to breakfast club. Let's getting some front page news now. Last night and Thursday night football, the Buccaneers beat the Eagles twenty eight, twenty two. Now Major League Baseball, the Dodgers beat the Giants, and the Red Sox played at Astros tonight at eight o seven. That w NBA if Mercury played the scott tonight at nine.

Now what else we got? Easy? Well? According to The New York Post, Steve Nash did not listen to Kyrie Irving's Instagram live. He said, I didn't listen to it, and I pretty much said everything I've had to say about it. If something changes, we'll talk about it. But apparently he's ready to move on and not even discuss this anymore. He feels like it's been taking up too much attention. Yeah, it has been, and it's gonna be

a distraction to the Brooklyn Nets. At the end of the day, they still got to take the floor and play ball. Where the Kyrie's there or not. It can't be answering questions about Kyrie irving every time there's a press conference, right, Okay, and Roberts. You guys know about Robert Durst, Right. They had a six part HBO documentary on him called The Jinks, and then he actually admitted to murder on the documentary. Yeah, in the last episode the documentary ends, he's in the bathroom and he's still

miked up and he pretty much confesses to murder. Well, he was just sentenced yesterday to life in prison for murdering a friend more than twenty years ago. And you know they are also investigating whether or not he killed his own wife because she went But he's like ninety, right, he's like ninety two or somebody that eighty five. Yeah,

he's a lot older now. But it was just amazing because he wanted to do this documentary, gave them access to all of his records, was miked up, did multiple interviews, and that's what ultimately ended up with him getting this conviction. So him in the bathroom pretty much confessing. So, yes, now he's been sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of her role. All right, Well, that is your front page news. All right, get it off your chess

I love them type of compliments when somebody says, man, I just appreciate you for being you, not for what you do, not for something you did for them, just for being you. I love that, man.

Thank you, brother, All right, get it off your chest. Eight hundred five eight five one oh five one. If you need to vent, you can hit us up now. We got rumors all the way, yes and new allegations against Bill Cosby. Will tell you about this new lawsuit. All right, we'll get into that next. And don't forget. Chloe Bailey will be joining us this morning, and also comedian and actor JB. Smooth. All right, it's the Breakfast Club. Good morning, the breakfast Club. Oh my gosh, got report

got its breakfast Club. Well, there's a new federal lawsuit against Bill cos and the charges are that he drugged and raped a young actress in an Atlantic City, New Jersey hotel after promising to help boost her career. She actually played on the Cosby Show. She guest starred as missus Minnifield back in nineteen eighty four. Her name is Lily Bernard. Now. According to her, this sexual assault happened inside the Trump taj Mahal in August of nineteen ninety.

She said that she went to go meet with him and he even asked her to call him daddy. During that time, apparently, he gave her a non alcoholic drink, she alleges, and she awoke to find him naked on top of her, raping her. She lost consciousness and when she awoke again, found herself naked and alone in an

empty bathtub. So the reason that she was not able to do anything before this was because this happened before in nineteen ninety six, and prosecutors could not proceed because the alleged offense was before that when the statute of limitations for sexual assault was lifted in New Jersey. But she did speak out at a press conference in twenty fifteen alleging that he did give her a drug to

drink and errate her. So these are new allegations and she is seeking compensation now at this point in time, she said she still thinks about it, and she still, you know, has suffers from what happened. So she is seeking twenty five million dollars in damages from Cosby for her allegations of a salt battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false imprisonment, and punitive damages. All right, so we will

keep you updated on that case now. As Shanty is saying that she has a lot of blue checks in her dms, as we can all imagine, Black America Web posted an interview where she spoke about her upcoming movie, Honey Girls, and here's what she had to say about them. Blue checks. It's a sea of blue checks. It's kind of crazy. It's definitely a party going on in my fiens. Do you ever respond to any of them? I do.

Sometimes it's late, you know, sometimes it is a little late and I'm like, oh my gosh, I can't believe a year ago, or you know, because I wasn't a huge dmer, but there are some really important ones that I answered and they turned into records. So not just people hollering, also business, yeah, or maybe somebody hollering could

turn the business. But yes, it is definitely business. I can imagine a lot of people reach out to Ashanti for some guest appearances or to do stuff with her, So you know, sometimes you gotta read them because a lot of business can go down. What I never understand is like, you know a lot of people have four business inquiries in their bio and so it's an email, but those are never as full as the dms. Yeah. Maybe sometimes they also feel like if they hit that email,

it's not going directly to you artists to artists. It could be a manager or somebody else checking it. So they feel like, let me reach out directly and speak to the purpose. I rest go to the team because I'm busy in my memory back so I might see I might see you and want to reply and want to do something, but I'm not organizing my schedule and all that good stuff. Artists might call you for something, might need you know something, want to talk to you

for a quick minute. They don't want to go to the team the email and have to wait for reply. DM is usually quick, all right. Now, Tony Braxton has her first fragrance coming out, so that should be exciting for her. And she's actually partnering with the Home Shopping Network because she was introduced to that at an early age by her mom and they're fans of that shopping television network. So it's named Breathe after obviously her hit song that was on her self titled debut album back

in nineteen ninety three. So congratulations to her. She said, my sisters are always honest. We had a few fragrances we were trying in the beginning. They were like that's not it, or that's too heavy, or that's too this. So I had honest noses around me. They all love the fragrance. They loved the bottle, and they're so excited about us getting together with HS and they're gonna watch me on air this weekend, so you can buy that. It's actually modeled after her one million dollar microphone, the

bottle honest noses. Why would you lie about what something smells like? You can't be that much of a yes person that you just lie about what something smells like. Everybody can smell, and like, I think we're pretty universal on what we think smells good and what doesn't smell good, right, I don't know, I think different sense of us a smell different on different people. It does. For the most part, things smell good, though you know, you know what smells bad.

That's what I mean, you know what smells bad. But some people are like stuff that I don't like. Like some people are like a stronger perfume. Some people are like different types of sense. Some people like fruity things, some people don't. You know, So it is all subjective too, based on correct your preference. Well, keep an honest nose around you people. It's very important in life. Some people like that would scent, right, It's like a wood scent

that people like in colognes. All right now. Stacy Dash has revealed that she did have a past addiction, taking eighteen to twenty pills a day, she was talking to doctor Oz and here's what she said. I just celebrated

five years of sobriety. I'm clean, and in this five years, my blessing, the greatest blessing, is that not only have I been able to be honest with myself and become a better person, I've been able to understand my parents and that they did love me, and that they were doing the best they could and they were just sick. How bad did this addiction get? I was taking eighteen to twenty pills a day. Yeah, I lost everything. She said.

It was the deepest, darkest secret, and she said she spent about five to ten grand a month on pills. Also in their interview, she talked about a bad period that she had a past abusive boyfriend who once left her with a broken arm in her early twenty She said he would be her so bad she couldn't get out of bed for two weeks, couldn't walk, and she said her arm tied her to the bed for three days.

Some part of me thought that's what I deserved. Well, I'm sending her healing energy and I'm glad she's out of that space. And if she was high for the last five years. That explains a lot. And if you do know she was battling addiction and she was high like that for the last five years. To excuse some of the things she said and did politically, I mean, I still wouldn't wish that on anybody, no matter how

much I disliked their views. So what I'm saying, but would you excuse some of those views politically, being that you know she wasn't in her well, I don't know that she still means them or not. Yeah, even though she was high, she still might stand on it. She remember she said some months ago she said she didn't believe none of that stuff. Remember is she she forgot exactly what the exact quote one. Remember she came out and said she didn't believe a lot of that stuff.

She was saying she was just saying it because she was. I forgot why. But yes, she did denounce a lot of that stuff. All right, Well that is your rumor reports. All right, thank you? Miss got from truly done supporting supporting Trump and apologize for her paths. Report the Trump you I don't remember that. I remember she said that. I didn't know that meant that she didn't mean anything she said because all the other stuff that she said, who I am, maybe it wasn't. I mean, we would

hate to think that. I think we all grew up loving Stacy Dash So that was always a disappointment. But I do feel like my heart goes out to her. That's not an easy addiction. It's a disease to try to have to kick, and especially when it probably gets to get worse when you're saying these things and people are coming at you. All right, well, front page news, you could be getting somewhere money today, so check your account. We'll tell you qualifies. We'll get into that. Next, it's

the Breakfast Club. Good Morning, So Breakfast Club, your mornings will never be the same. This Sunday on CBS, Queen Latifa is back Equalizing injustice. In The Equalizer, need help, have nowhere to run? She's the one you call when you can't call nine one one, America's number one news show. The Equalizer returns this Sunday at eight seventh Central on CBS Morning. Everybody is DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlomagne the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Let's get in some front

page news. All right. Now, let's start off with some sports. Last night, the Buccaneers beat the Eagles twenty eight twenty two. In Major League Baseball, the Dodgers beat the Giants to one. Tonight the Red Sox take on the Astros, and in w NBA News, the Mercury take on the Sky. Now what else we got easy, Well, millions of families will get their fourth Enhanced Child Tax Credit payment today, which

the IRS is distributing. About fifteen billion dollars was sent to roughly thirty five million family last month, and the average payment to the parents who had sixty million children was four hundred and twenty eight dollars. Most parents automatically get the enhanced credit of up to three hundred dollars for each child up to age six, and two fifty

for each one age six through seventeen. So there's going to be two more monthly payments the IRS is scheduled to send in twenty twenty one, So look for that because you might have that in your check with your expanded child tax credit. All right now, Joe Biden did a six minute address to the nation where he said that the private sector COVID vaccine mandate will take effects soon. Now, some of the things that he talked about is that

there has been progress. We're making progress nationally. Daily cases are down forty seven percent, hospitalizations are down thirty eight percent over the past six weeks. For the past two weeks, most of the country has improved as well. Case rates are declining in thirty nine states and hospital rates are declining in thirty eight states. We're down to sixty six millions still on except for high number of unvaccinated people,

from almost one hundred million in July. All right, well, this is going to make some people who are anti VACCA is very upset, but they are about to have some vaccine requirements. For businesses with one hundred employees or more, vaccine requirements that we started rolling out in the summer are working. A labor department is going to assume be issuing an emergency rule for companies with one hundred or

more employees to implement vaccination requirements among their workforce. Every day we see more businesses implementing vaccination requirements, and the mounting data shows that they work. All right, so I guess that's going to be happening soon and again we'll keep you updated. But according to data right now, seventy eight point five percent of you as adults have had at least one COVID shots. Man, that's gonna hurt him.

That's gonna hurt him in the future. I mean, you know, it is probably necessary, but to have those mandates on the vaccine and the people that a lot of people that lost their jobs because of those mandates, and people that had to quit because their jobs want allow them to be on because they're vaccinated. That's gonna hunt Joe Biden in the future. His approve of rating is already

the lowest has ever been. And it's simply because voters want to ROI on the things that you know that were promised on the campaign trail, but that's not happening. And this, you know, going on with these mandates, and it's calling people to lose their jobs, tearing the corner soon and then not have to have these mandates when people already fired, We don't have the pandemic. The holiday is coming up. People never forget how you made them feel.

And let me tell you something. It's interesting to me how like people hear a lot of the people who don't want to get vaccinated, and how there's people in other countries that are dying to get these vaccinations, and that we have to send them and they're upset that they don't have enough, and then we have a surplus here, and then people don't want to It's just crazy. Every things the opposite, all right. And Bill Clinton has been

hospitalized for urinary tract infection and it actually spreads. Yes, Wow, what is that so fascinating to you? I heard about people getting tis all the time. I just you know, just what just this wild? Bill Clinton got a utah, so he's in good spirit. No, it's bacteria. You can get it from like wiping yourself the wrong way, you know, bacteria getting into your I think where you're you're wiping yourself the wrong way. I think, yeah, you can't because

it's basically bacteria don't come out of there though. I mean, yeah, you have to wipe them all the way up. That's That's what I'm saying. It's bacteria that lives. There's no from one area that goes into your tests. For girls, you know, you're not supposed to do that. They teach you from a young age. We talked about Bill Bill Clinton back the front. I don't know how you got it. There's a long way to go, but you know, a lot of times they say that that's happened when bacteria

from your partner's genitals also gets in there. So it could be for any reason. We don't know how he gave it. Hillary, that that's what you blame it on. Hillary, that I had a friend that happened to I'm not gonna say who, but dude, you wipe the wrong way. Yeah, the urinary track infection. If you listen to the brewer of this podcast, you know what I'm talking about. It can also happen from other things though, like your hygiene.

It says diabetes is a cause as well. Also if you're not empty and your bladder properly, so it could be any of those things. Any old now, right, what is that? What is the man called? He still ain't wiping the wrong way. You can't wipe the wrong way for women. We can not for guys. Yeah, I just know we've been taught that since we were young. Make sure you wipe front to back to not wipe. It's

pretty easy to get a UTA. Bacteria that lives in the vagina, genital tools our antal areas may enter the euretha, travel to the bladder, yeah, travel to the bladder and uretha's. I don't think you have that. You don't have that, right, Yeah, you don't have that ut. I want to hear more. My goodness. All right, well that is your front page news. You probably don't even know how we got it. They

said it's really common in older people. It says this can happen during sexual activity when bacteria from your partner's jgitals and his fingers and sex toys get pushed into your uretha. UTI can also be called by chlamydia, ganeria other organisms. That's why I always thought UTI was a STD. No it's not. It's just infection, all right, and you can get it without having anybody that brings bacteria in contact with your uretha can cause a UTI. Bacteria in

contact with Bill Clinton's yourtha? Can you say youth? My goodness? All right? All right now, when we come back, Chloe Bailey will be joining us. She has a new single. We'll get that on as well. Yes, okay, so don't it's the Breakfast Club. Good morning, the Breakfast Club Morning. Everybody's stej Envy, Angela Yee, Charlomne, the guy. We are to Breakfast Club. We got a special guest in the building. Yea, she's back, Chloe Bailey, welcome back. Thanks for having me, guys.

I'm so happy. How are you? First of all, I'm doing really good. I'm doing great. Actually, I'm Blessing Favor, Blessed Black and Holly Favor. Yes, it's always a pleasure to see you, by the way, I know, like since you guys are young, I'm always like, there's the both of you and Helli's so dope. So I love to see the success that you've been having. And I know outwardly like you've been handling things well. But I saw you tweet out. If I told you what I go through,

you wouldn't believe me. You have no idea. Yeah, you know us, Yes, tell us. I think we all go through some stuff, you know, like we're all human and life isn't as easy as people might think. And how you present, so I think that's what makes the journey even special when you know how much hard work and blood, sweat and tears you put into it, and that's what makes a journey sweeter and when you get there. So yeah, especially when it comes to energy, because I gotta think

social media has to get to you sometimes. Oh, absolutely, absolutely of course, you know, a lot of times the words that I see bother me, but I'm learning that that isn't what validates me and they're talking, so it's a blessing in a way. You gotta turn it off sometimes I'm just like, you know what, I gotta, I gotta. I wish I could, But at the same time, it's helping me get my name out there. And we're in the middle of a pandemic, so it's not like I can just shut my phone off and go out and

go and torn everything. So it's like that's the way to the fans. So it's kind of it's like a blessing and a curse at the same time. You have to disconnect go to protect your mento absolutely and emotional. Yeah. Yeah, you gotta kind of be able to tell what's real and what's fake. And it's like, of course you care about what people say, but at the end of the day,

it's not everything. It's what's right here. So I sell you on Jimmy Fallon and I love the fact that she was up there like making beats and thank you and I know production is a big deal for you. Yeah, on the new album, are you going to be producing. Absolutely, I'm always producing and mixing my vocals and involved in

every little bit of the process. But it's also been fun collaborating because you know, the group, I was like always behind the computer with the engineering and the production, and now I'm like, I get to have an engineer recording me. I get to focus on my vocals and making it sound really pristine and clear and like really getting that perfect. So it's been nice kind of doing both at the same time making beats. What did you start making beats? And I was like, twelve E love

and twelve You're good. A lot of people don't know, but I love love music and I'm such a nerd and I love building things, and it's like music is mass so it always came easy and I just love it. And it's like sometimes you can't really articulate to someone how you hear something, so it's like I would just take it. I'd be like, Okay, I want this here, I want that there, and then I just started taking over it completely. So it's it's really fun. I love producing.

I would like to know what, Chloe, because you said you do care what people think about you? What what exactly I think when it's the complete opposite of who I am on my character. I think that's when it bothers me the most, or like any comparisons. But could

you want to see y'all don't know me? Of course, of course, I think if if you when you all hear things being said negatively about yourself, sometimes you always want to respond and be like no, no, But at the end of the day, you gotta let the work speak for itself and make you go harder too. You'd be like, Okay, you feel like that we was about to happen next exactly exactly. You think it's difficult because we I think a lot of the fans seen you

grow up, like they've seen you from the young age. Yeah, yeah, grow up into this woman. So you think that's what difficult because they still see you as a little kid. It could be I don't really know, but I'm happy because they grew up with me, so without them, I wouldn't be here right now. So it's like we're on a journey together. You know. I think some older male perverts out there that once you got of age, was like, how do you know if there were? If there were,

I wasn't paying a thing, so I hope not. I hope not. I feel like you've gotten into that space like a little nass. You know exactly what to do on social media to get people talking. Oh you think so? Yeah. I wish I knew. I'm just being myself. I'm not gonna lie it happy. If I see my name trending over me just being myself, I'm like, oh that's cool, and then I'll like get off of it. So I don't really dive too deep into what people are saying,

but it's pretty cool. But a little bit though, like you might tweet something, I'll post something be like, okay, I know this about the rip. I mean honestly, it's always the things that I least expect that kind of go the furthest which is crazy. Okay, So like, what

what was the last thing? Too much specialty? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah that I just tweeted that because I've always been doing too much of us since I was a little girl, and it's who I am, and I just I have so much passion and fire in my heart and it just comes alive and I'm on the stage and I have so much to give. So I think that's what people are seeing and I'm happy they're watching. Yeah, that turned into a thing because somebody try to say, oh, when you did the family and she's doing too much?

And then I love that response because isn't that what we want performers to do, right, to get on stage and go above and beyond and give it there all. Yeah, there's so many incredible artists out there and not one is the same, and I think it's really special to have variety. And you know, if they want to watch me me and my performance, that's pretty cool. I appreciate it. So yeah, I'm just gonna keep going mean. Yeah, do you find it's always the people who aren't doing enough

trying to tell you that you're doing too much? Um, Honestly, I don't really pay attention to the people who are actually saying it that much because if I do, I'm really going down a rabbit hole and I'm hearing the focus off of myself. But you know, um, I think we all have our little personal things we deal with and sometimes when we're bothered, we just outwardly say it. So it's okay, I don't really mind if you don't

shoot your sister will Yeah she's coming. Yeah, the aries have you ever gotten to a fight for real and like jumped in like a feelical uticase my sister and I like somebody else. Oh no no no no no, you don't got a jump No no, no, no no no, I'm not trying to do that. I'm very protective technic about my words. Yes, yes, is an influence. You also say, Kalis is so now doing this album. Kalisa has been known to cross all type of line to do things. Left is that what this album is gonna be about

doing some things different that people are not necessarily thinking about. Well, the thing is, people don't really know me completely, so everything will be a shock and surprise because they're finally seeing the real me and the full me. So I think that's really all it is. Like even when I made my own Instagram, I wasn't doing anything different. Half the stuff on there was from my fence to and my private account that all my friends and family were on.

People are just now getting introduced to me. That's interesting to Calisa. You know you don't hear that to all? Why she won her tone of her voice and how like sexy and ronche and bossy her lyrics are always and her vocal production I think she's so crazy talented. Any shoot, I'm one and I just want to feel more confident. I put her on No, but she follows me on Instagram and I gotta tell you, I was

so happy. I was so happy. And then two I recently got to work with the Neptunes and I was like, you guys up the white Yeah, but to inspire me, so yeah, yeah, we have more with Chloe Bailey when we come back, don't move. It's the Breakfast Club, Go Morning. Everybody is DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlemagne the guy. We are to Breakfast Club. We're still kicking it with Chloe Bailey, Charlomagne. Now you get Beyonce comparisons. Have you spoken to Beyonce

herself about those? I love her so much and you know, we talk about yeah, yeah, yeah, we talk about any and everything and I'm just so grateful to have her stamp of approval and you know, and she always gives me words of encouragement. You have no idea how much that means to me. So it's like what she kind of says, It's like, Okay, that's pretty dope, because she's been there, she's done that, and to know that the advice that she's giving me is exactly from the place

I've been. It's pretty cool and inspiring. What did she say about you know, you are maybe feeding into those comparisons. Did she tell you not to? She says she's really proud of me, and you know that's not something we specifically talk about. But I'm I just love her and I'm happy she sees this light inside of me and and my sister as well. So how do you feel about a comparisis I'm grateful. That's the biggest compliment anyone

could possibly give me. I have so much more work to do to even get there, even get it out to where she is, so it's a huge compliment for sure. Yeah. I often wonder we're putting too much on artists when we do that, though, because you Beyonce is beyonest, It's like, you'll give her a chance to be Chloe. Yeah, I mean to give people the benefit of the doubt. We all do that. We're like, oh, like if someone is inspired by Jennet Jackson or anything like that. So I

don't really mind when people say that. I just know I have a lot of work to do. I'm etective. Is your your family, your mom and your dad when you see all the things on social media or the news, and your brother, because I'm sure your dad gotta be just ready to while out and punch everybody in the face at at one point because his baby. Yeah. Yeah, my family's so protective. And my little brother and my god mom and Hallie, they're like ready to fight someone.

For me, you had to call him like Dad, chill out, Dad, chill out. I got this. You know. There's been a few times where I'm like, you know, silence is about answer, It's okay. And a lot of times like if I get emotionally overwhelmed as I take a deep breath and just kind of pray and I'll call it my god, I'm on the phone, like I can't. I can't person your go to person all the time, like instantly from South Carolina. Right, yeah, we're related me and you, Kelly. Yes,

talk about this last time. Yes, I got this guy. It's okay, I'm sorry, all right, Nope, I can in that conversation right the hell? Yeah, Okay, okay, okay. No, you can say you don't remember, because I wouldn't remember. I wouldn't remember every day. No, No, you good but I appreciate that cousin. I'm trying to claim that who not, that's my cousin now. You know. The other day we had to play part of I'm Hallie's performing. She did such an amazing job that Disney and they really had

people going crazy on social media. So what was the conversation with her like? After that? I was just so proud of her. You know, she taped that maybe a month and a half ago, and we were all we were all hanging in her apartment together, me and my little brother and our pets Poseidon in common. So we were chilling watching squid Game actually, and then when it aired, I was like, you sang down. Is it tough creating a solar? You know, I'll tell you the most difficult

part believing in myself. But with the creation side, it's very therapeutic for me and it's literally all I do. So that was easy because when I'm stressed, when I'm sad, when I'm happy, I pour my heart out into my music, and literally music. I saved my life, so that the creation part isn't hard. In the performing part, it's a little scary. I always get so nervous for any performance, like I'll be shaking like this. I'm like, oh, I'll

be praying so hard. But believing in yourself is interesting because you know, even after you create, what will give you that belief in yourself? Is it the reaction from people? If you pay attention to what people are saying, you just you're never gonna get there. I think you have to realize the power in your voice. And one thing I'm learning is that I have to trust my intuition and my gut and not second guess myself a lot. And it's like, if you don't believe in yourself, or

if you don't fight for yourself, no one else will. Yeah, get into a place of worthiness? Is it's tough? Why? I don't know, Like I got there really really really really really latent life. I always wonder about like young young individuals like yourself who take so much criticism It's like, where did they get a sense of worthiness from? Yeah, it's a lot of self reflection and you know, I'm not perfect and there's still so much I have to go and we kind of always go in that space

where it's like, Okay, am I doing enough? I on the right path, But I just have to realize it's more than me absolutely, And Have Mercy is a very confident song too. Yeah, I'll yeah, have Mercy. I wrote that in April, and it was like a response to everything going on because I, like I think about it, that was like the month, like the whole top from January to like May was when everyone really were talking about me and how I was showing myself and my body and all that. So Have Mercy I wrote that

in response to everything. So it's crazy that that ended up being my first song and everyone's loving it, right, Yeah, you better have the lad to women out too. Yeah, yeah, I'm happy Like when women come up to me and say that I inspire them to be more confident in their bodies. You have no idea how much that means to me, because I'm still always finding the confidence within myself. Like people like, oh, you seem like the most confident person,

blah blah blah. But it's like how people think I am is where I'm trying to get what's your biggest fear in this industry? If any, My biggest fear in the industry, I'm scared of failure, that and disappointing myself. But other than that, like I feel like if I just keep my head down, I'll make it. Yeah, I like, I like the journey that you know, I would tell you, don't put too much, don't put too much pressure on yourself. Yeah, that's another lesson I'm learning for sure. Just have fun,

enjoy the moment. That's I'm learning that. And I tell you the things that bring me the most joy is like food, so like I'll be stuff in my face like nobody's business. You can try to food from different places, yes, and carves. You have no idea how joy that brings me. But if you gotta find those little moments, enjoy those little things that enjoy exactly, keep saying on it absolutely. What's your favorite place to eat in? Your favorite place to be at? Oh? My favorite place Houston in New York.

What's your favorite place? So I'm vegan, right and my favorite vegan. It is fun when you get vegan vegan who loves like junk foods And it's like sage and crossroads. I love like doughnuts and pasta and rice. I can't eat vegetables without rice. And if I don't work out or like constantly like pay attention to it, I'll like gain really fast when you when you became vegan nine years ago when probably so our mom, she was like, oh I was at this place and they're like, try

being vegetarian. You know the energy that you put in for whatever. So we're like, sure, we tried it. We try. I did, and you know, Sis and I we never went back. Our family they all eat meat and everything and it's just us. So I like it. We have more with Chloe Bailey when we come back, Dope Move. It's the Breakfast Club. Good Morning Morning, everybody is DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlemagne the guy we are to Breakfast Club. Were still kicking it with Chloe Bailey. Who would you

want to collabor We see you did? Uh the joint? You want to collab with? I have so many dreams I'll tell you, Okay, Beyonce, come on, that's that's a hometown. Kanye Ure Thousand, Frank Ocean, Travis Rosalia. I would love those are like my top on doja. You know that would be fun too. Why haven't you called into Beyonce? Oh I don't. I don't know. Oh that means there is one on this How much of the album is done? How much of the album is what done? Oh, it's

like eighty five percent done. I want to do like one more round of just like grinding after like I do all this press for our mercy and just like make sure I'm getting everything that I need out of this project. I'm really proud of it, and I'm really excited with you A ballot or up Temple, Yeah, Temple will be fine. I don't know, guys, we have to create it. We have to what we'd have to creative? I hope one day, I hope, so could I realize how good of a performer you was? I forgot what

a war show? That? What was that? What a warning? Yeah? I'm like, oh, she's really a dope performer. That's you think? So, oh yeah, thank you, thank you. Vide gonna be crazy, But you say you're gonna be performing that song with the next VMA. Is that dope? That would be so cool? One day? One day and then I said you, so you licked the mic and you were like, I don't even recall doing that. Are you looking Mike's during COVID

lit it. I'm the biggest like dorm of pope. I was so excited on that stage And when I'm on the stage, I just kind of black out and I just I kind of lose it and I don't I swear I don't remember doing that. And I watched it back and I said, oh wow. I was like wow, okay, and you know, it's really funny looking back. I'm grateful that two weeks after I was fine, I'm still testing, Like damn it, where's having part of cold protocol? How many of your exes have called you up and been like,

so a girl, what's happening? Like? Can we have something to eat? Honestly? None? None, because I block half of them. Then the other half were still friends and it's not you know, it's like people will respect you, they know not to just reach out to you when things are great if you don't speak anymore. So yeah, I'm chilling. So there's no going back. Man, Oh no, no, no no. What's what are you like in a guy? Now? Like if you had to say this is my ideal, man,

what would that be? Okay? So I'm a nerd inside, So I like the guy really cool and like fire on the outside, but they got a nerd out on the inside. Edge. That's what I'm say exactly. So that's what I like and they have to be really sweet and kind and funny and intellectual because that's like, that's what gets me. So yeah, eradicate the stigma around the world nerd nothing like Okay, I think nerd gets a bad, bad rap. Yeah, I mean like I want, like you want to be the nerd you want that you want

to be that. Yeah, nothing to do with you, Just about nerd with you because you know what I'm talking to you, like that cousin Hollywood did something. You know what I'm saying. That's the nerd things that you into because you called yourself a nerd a couple of times. What are the nerd things that you're into? Ooh okay. I love legos, I love cross words and bird searches. That's not nerdy, it's so thank you. What about growing in that draw their bids on and put the pain on.

That's not nerdy. I think that's a personal choice because somebody people, Yeah, some some people aren't blessed in that, and if they want to get that, then they gotta do what they gotta do to get it. That's true. What about growing in that can't have growing your head always have to wear a hat because of it? Because they look like RoboCop. Well, I think they should be confident in their bald head. And you know, if they want to wear the hat, wear the hat, but sometimes

let the breeze flow. Have you been hat fished? Hat fished? No? No, because I like to run my fingers through the hair. That has a lot of people. What about what about short man? How do you feel about short man? Short men are great? I want I don't want to be taller than you in heels? Okay, what about hair pieces? Like what if the guy had a hair piece hold on that short minute? Great? I don't want to be I don't want to be, but you wouldn't you be

taller than the shot? Right now, I'm like a man problem. I still can't figure out sherman are great but in other words, not for her? Got you got? How many we saw ari shut down claims that you had some sort of light skinned privilege when the Twitter user tried to say that, How did you feel about that comment? I think black women are beautiful, and I don't like how mainstream media tries to pit women black women specifically against each other. And I love it when we come together.

So that is so beautiful and empowering and I love Ari and she's gorgeous and so talented. Did you hit her off? After that? We'll be instagram dm in a lot, So I'm pretty sure I don't. I can't really specifically recall, but I'm sure we did. I say, yeah. Also excited for Summon Walker's album. Oh yes. And then I saw the Sierra Altro Sierra's Prayer, and then I heard A Dell's album is coming out the same month, and it's like, gonna be so great for women and we're gonna be

singing our hearts out. That's what I'm excited for, because we get summer one week in the Dell the next week. I believe it's a good time. Yeah. Yeah, So when is yours coming? Very soon? I want to release some more music because I am technically a new artist and I want people to really get to know me musically and then drop my project. But it's almost done. Do you think they're respecting the music? But they might be respecting just which is still a good problem to have.

Respecting just you more is whatever it is. I'm grateful for it because they're paying attention, so you know, whether it's me as a person or my music. I'm happy for its good. You're very multi talented. Thank you. What are some other spaces you see yourself being in? Yeah, I love acting. I really want people to see me in that world and producing for other artists and scoring. That would be so much fun for me. You're not gonna have no time, Well, you got to grind, gotta

put the work in while you young man, exactly. You know what they say every time is not an ageis income? Yeah, I know social media likes to say you're too sexy. What are your parents? My parents are pretty supportive, you know. I've always been very in tune with myself and my body. So as much as of a shock as it was for the world, it was like, oh, it wasn't really anything from my family. Yeah, even daddy. I'm sure Dad had a lot of things and thoughts about it, but

he didn't really articulate them towards me. And they raised you guys pretty great. Yeah. So I'm sure that they also are confident that you're going to make smart decisions. For sure, I hope so. So right, Yeah, that's good because it's a family fair Other than your cousin, your e strange cousin, cousin, what's up, cousins, I can't believe you forgot that hurt my feelings. I forget everything I can, have nothing to do, and don't take it personal at all.

I just I'm just old. Okay, okay, I forgive you for your family. Let's let's get into the song you want to introduce it to enjoy it with you and beyond ahead. Oh exclusive, we got the exclusive, we gott exclusive. What's it called? I am Destiny shop for my single I have Mercy. You know it's all about loving yourself and your body and your assets. And yeah, so I hope you guys like it all right when we appreciate you for joining us this morning, Thank you so much.

Thank you guys. It's the breakfast Club. Good morning. So it's not okay drop on a clues bounce from my cousin Chloe bad all right, claiming that from now on, I bet you are. Can't believe you forgot that memory is not the best You're gonna slew third Daddy Doug though, that's a big deal. That's your family and her uncle. JU know, you know I knew Joseph growing up. Though. That's the crazy part. You had no idea. Bro's did you talking about? I didn't know Jolah Bailly growing up

very well. I didn't know Doug though, their father. But it's all right. Well morning, everybody is DJ Envy, Angela Ye, Charlomagne the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Let's get to the rumors. Let's talk Windy Williams. This is the rumor Report with Angela year Well, the Wendy Williams Show is coming back on Monday now. It was originally supposed to start on September twentieth, but it got pushed back several times because of ongoing health issues, but it will

be returning. Wendy won't be on there October eighteenth. That episode is hosted by a panel that include Devin Simone, Bebby Smith, Elizabeth Wagmeister and Michael Yo. And then from Tuesday through Friday, Leah Remedy will be sitting in for Wendy Williams. So that's what's going to be happening. They said it's gonna be like a remix of Hot Topics, still have Wendy's presence on the show, but it'll be

kind of remix. So they're doing it by committee basically, it looks like, yeah, I know, I saw a lot of people talking about how they were petitioning to have the opportunity to host the show and sending in letters and trying to get that opportunity. So I guess as we're seeing when Wendy might return, you'll see how long they'll be guest hosts. But they said she is having some serious complications as a direct result of Graves disease

and her thyroid condition. All right, now, Doja Cat has surpassed Drake as a rapper, as the rapper with the most monthly Spotify listener, So congratulations to her. This is just monthly, but she had sixty three point six million while Drake had sixty three point three million, So definitely that one. All right now, Speedy Mormon did an interview three sixty with Speedy Mormon with Meek Mill, and it

was a very extensive conversation. Some of the things that were discussed was Meek Mill talking about perhaps he is, you know, almost done. Next week is gonna be a different group of songs. We're gonna call it a stend down. We're gonna make it longer, We're gonna basically update the playlist a whole new vibe. Yeah, people usually do deluxe it's two three records. This is gonna be more than two three records. I got a point to prove, like from here to twenty two twenty two, people don't really

really be like that. So I'm gonna keep like charging the thirds every three four months on some repla travally until the next three years. And tim feel like rap I got like three four more years left that deluxe edition. They're saying that that might be that Pop Smoke collab that he's been teasing for quite a while on that deluxe edition as well, so get ready for that now. In addition to that, there was a lot of backlash and we discussed this over the album cover with the

women on it. The artist who actually painted that is a woman. Here's what he had to say. No, do I think it's appropriate to have Naggie women on buses? No, I do not think that's appropriate. That can be changed. But Nina is a great woman. She's an African American artist that represent Black women, and a lot of Black women support her. Like you know, social media is like not real. In my neighborhood, people are really dying everything

in Philadelphia a little girl's Little boys. The topic of a wrap of a bus is not a real thing that's going on in the places we come from. But you know, everybody can have a oplion. But I'm not too fine on that social f that fit castling people. I'm still confused about that. It's inappropriate to have a cartoon image on a bus, but it's not inappropriate to have that same image of a real person on an album cover or on a poster or in a music video.

Like I was really confused about what made people so I rate about that. Well, he's saying everybody can have whatever opinion they want, explaining this is a black woman who actually created this art. He wasn't trying to disrespect black women at all. And don't we sell it, don't we celebrate the WAP, Don't we celebrate Chloe Bailey when you do the bustet challenge? Like I just was really confused about why all of a sudden people found that inappropriate and it was a cartoon images art. I think

it mad when they want to get mad. It makes sense, it does it, But you know, hey, who cares about logic? All right? In addition to that, he talked about his ninety thousand sold in the first week, and whether or not that matters to him me, I rather him take me off Billboard. You gotta think about, like, what is the purpose of me being on Billboard? If jay Z talks about him believe bill Board, he'd been in the

game for thirty years. Why should I put myself in a position to be where they say allegedly something is being manipulated, And then I'm putting my my brand on a list that's being manipulated. If I'm not manipulating that list, why should I even put myself in that to make anybody look over top of me? Not saying anyone that's manipulating that list. But Billboard is not a part of my marketing scheme, all right? So is the difference between

Billboard and Sales scanal? I think Billboard is? Is it different? I don't know. I thought sales can usually calculates the amount of records sold, and Billboard with something else. I guess Billboard is placement though like number one, number two, you know number one, But I get because I mean it's it's no longer where they just count sales. There's bundles. You could buy a T shirt with a with a you know, with with listening to the album, you can buy a ticket to that. So it's they play with

the numbers a lot. Yeah, I get it. I get with Meek saying, but you also can't change the rules based off, you know, whether or not you sell o crazy amount of records or not, because the rules have been changing, I'm been changing the last couple of years. But you know, because they just started adding bundles. They just started adding the fact that you could get ticket

sales with with album sales. They just started doing. Yeah, things are evolving because remember YouTube numbers didn't used to count. I think doesn't count. Yeah, So it's a lot of different rules that have to evolve as how people consume music evolves too. But the point remains when artists sell a lot of records, they brag about it. They already have historically. So it was me so I think that was a different time when Meek was saying. Meek was saying,

back then, they didn't calculate, you didn't. You couldn't mess with the numbers. It was just based off of sales and streams. Now which you can do bundles, you can t shirts, you can get it there's a lot of different ways to sell exactly. All right, Well, there's a lot more on there. He also talked about how he feels like he might move on from Wrap within the next four years. In addition, he's going to write a movie, so he's looking to get more into the movie industry

and he's looking to become a screenwriter. All right, now, I want to shout out to Meg the Stallion. She actually has a deal now with Popeyes, so apparently she's opening up her own Popeye's location and she has her very own hottie sauce at Popeyes that's coming out on Tuesday, October nineteenth, So congratulations to her. She also, of course did hot ones and the great R and B tradition of creating songs to make love to. What are the most essential ingredients to a freak anthem? Okay, I want

to answer a question, but the pepper's dancing on my tongue. Yeah, yeah, that's okay. They're good ingredients to a good love Making a song, first of all, you need to have that good baseline, that good drum pattern, so you could be on rhythm. You got to match the strokes, and then like you just gotta have somebody that could really sing. All right, so I'm gonna get some of that too. I think they're sending some up here on Monday so we can try that. Hotti sucks because you know I

love a good hot size. I love all my food super spicy. All right, Well that is your rumor report. All right, thank you, miss ye Charlemagne. Who you giveing that? Donke you man, there's a dude named Brandon Fellas. He was a member of our cracker. Okay, the domestic terrorists organization known as Vanilla isis who stormed the Capitol. And remember yesterday we talked about people snitching on themselves. Oh, this is a good one. All right, it's a good one.

We'll talk to get into that next. Keep it locked. This to Breakfast Club. Good morning, So Breakfast Club, your mornings will never be the same. We have to remind ourselves often that on January six, and attempted cool of this country happened in America. Treated it like a bunch of kids getting a little

too ready at spring break. Okay. By the way, three things that have to happen and have to happen, Okay, in order for democracy is we know it to be preserved. One you have to protect voting rights currently not happening. Two, biden them have to pack the Supreme Court, currently not happening. Three you have to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law any and everyone involved in the attempted cool

of this country on January six. You have to make an example out of those people, simply because you have to show the next domestic terrorists don't even think about it. Okay, Historically people who have gotten executed for attempted cools another country day. But but here in America, the home of the so called brave, and I say so called brave, because you have to have courage to do the three things I just mentioned, and the people currently empowering government

just simply like that. They just do democratic cowards. It is what it is at this point, and that cowardice will hurt him at the polls. But back to the matter at hand, Brandon Fellows, you know, people talk about how stupid some of these Trump supporters appear like some of them come off as real idiots, unintelligent, ignorant, dense, brainless. And if you feel this way, you're probably right. You could absolutely bet on it. And I think it's a

pretty safe wager. Because Brandon Fellows decided to testify on his own behalf in regards to the attempted coup. He had a bond hearing on Tuesday, and a federal judge warned him he could be opening himself up to perjury or even obstruction of justice if he testified on his own behalf, and that he would likely be going back to jail well, regardless of what the judge told him. What do you think happened? What do you think happened? What do you think happened? Let's go to MSNBC All

In with Chris Hayes for the report Police. For instance, Brandon Fellows, He's a twenty six year old from Albany, New York. He faces a felony charge for obstruction in connection with the riot. He showed up to the January sixth insurrection dress like bring a fake red beard and a USA code. So that guy was in court this week trying to get his bond status for evoke, and against the advice of the judge, he chose to represent himself.

He then accidentally admitted to two additional felonies in cross examination a lawyer for the government, to admit under oath that he had climbed into the capital through a broken window, and that he had tried to get the previous judge on the case removed by putting that judge's wife's phone number as his emergency contact, and that he had missed

court ordered mental health and drug testing appointments. At the end of this nearly two hour episode, the judge in question told him, quote, you've engaged in a pattern of behaviors that shows contempt for the criminal justice system. Judge ordered brandon Fellow's back into the custody of a DC jail in the in the wise words of Pat Pousse's Queen are you dumb okay? Job includes bombs for remy

ma right. You already got a felony charge of obstruction of an official proceeding in connection with the January six Capital riots, and now you added two new felonies because you did exactly what the judge told you not to do. You had pre trial release but got ordered back into custody in June after repeated violations. Here's the thing, why would you respect and listen to your government after you didn't attempted cool of his country and nothing really happened

to you. Of course, he has contempt for the criminal justice system. He thinks he's above the law. Okay, he thinks y'all all a bunch of suckers, and he can't wait until the next one is organized on Facebook so he can be there. By the way, Brandon Fellows decided to represent himself after he had spent the previous two weeks in the DC's jail law library. Have you ever heard the saying just because you go to church doesn't mean you're a Christian. Likewise, stepping into a garage doesn't

make you a car. Well, it's the same thing with the DC law library. Just because you go there for a couple of weeks doesn't make you a lawyer ready to represent yourself in court. But Newboddy told Brandon Fellows that also when they tell you that you have the right to remain silent, take advantage of that. Let your attorney speak for you, even if the attorney court appointed. I mean, hey, it's better to remain silent and be thought of domestic terrorist than to speak and to remove

all doubt. Please let Chelsea Handler get Brandon Fellows the biggest he had. Hee haw, hee haw. That is way too much. Dan Mann as also tonight on Comedy Central on late night show The Guys on this truth, if we discuss how social media helped to bring all these idiots together, okay, and how it helps to continue to bring all these idiots together. So tune in ten pm tonight on Comedy Central. All right, well, thank you for that, donkey. Or today now when we come back, comedian and actor JB.

Smooth will be joining us. He's at Caroline's, a comedy club in New York City over the weekend. We're gonna talk to him about everything that he's working on. So don't move. It's the Breakfast Club, Go Morning, the Breakfast Club. J Envy Angela Yee, Charlomagne, the Dad. We are to Breakfast Club. We got a special guest in the building. Yes, indeed, brother JB. Smooth living up to his name this morning. That's in the clean Um sim where you got on

that brother, You're always clean. It ain't too late for y'all manana. But I was telling y'all I was really excited because Curb your enthusiasm is coming back on October twenty fourth. I cannot wait. Man, let me tell you we had you know what, shooting in this climate has been nuts overall, but they kept it real organized and safe. Man. The protocols were kicked in and we had a good time. Man. It's any of that season because y'all addressed what's happening

like a lot of times in society in general. So it's that on the new season. I can't tell you everything, but I can tell you that, you know, it's kind of based on this promo we got. You know, it's like the world has changed, but Larry hasn't. And I think that's a great way. That's a good premise though, like when you are an older man who came up in a certain era and now the world is changed around you, like, well, I can't say this, No, I can't do it is now Like that's that's a lot

of people. It's a lot of people. Well how do you deal with that? Now? For yourself and comedy because you're doing Caroline's this weekend? Oh yeah, man, you grew up in a time where you can say anything on that Oh now you say the wrong thing and it's over. Oh man, it's a weird place to be for comedians. But it's like, um, I guess it's based on your style. It's like boxing styles make fights, you know what I'm saying. So I kind of have a unique style that I've

stuck to the whole time. It works for me, you know. But it's definitely not easy trying to be PC and trying to you know, because you are used to the era you grew up in. You know, even the Dave stuff has been in the news right now, and it's it's rough for comedians right now, you know. But Damian Winn said, Dave Chappelle is freeing the comedy slaves. Do you feel like you're being held back in any way? I guess I'm not. I go back to the styles,

your style. Whatever your style is, man, that's what you your audience is, that's what your brand is. You know. But I say this, we got to be very careful in this climate, in this world and how we proceed with comedy, evolution of comedy, because here's the hard part. You're watching a comedian on stage, you're loving him. You know he gets backlash. Now here's here's the thing that's tricky. If the comedian gets backlash, right, what happens when the

camera spinds around and now it's on the audience. You're starting your feet, your girl hugging, you got you're tripping, you know what I mean? Do you get fired because you in the audience laughing? That's true? See that that's the hard part. And we gotta be I think we gotta pull back a little bit and figure out how we can move forward and and understand the purpose of humor, satire, everything across the board. The purpose of it is to make the light of it. Is that nervous stuff being

a comedian. Do you nervously doing interviews and you say the wrong thing? You have so many jobs, so many movie so waited to come. You say something now, congratulations anything. You guys have that issue if you see every day every day, you guys have to do it. But you got to live, man, you gotta live. And a lot of people know you're intent. You've been working in this business for so long and people can vouch for you and know in case you slip up and something doesn't

come out the way that it happens. Yeah, you know what I was going to ask you on Curb your enthusiasm.

Had there ever been times because the content on there can be really funny, Like I remember there was a kid that loved daring swastikas on the other episode and even on the last season, right, Chad Boner was on there, Yeah, and had got this penis right and knocked things over with his penis because he got it too big, And so even things like that, have there ever been times when you guys are like, maybe we can't do that or you know what, You're gonna always have those moments

on Curb man, because but but again it's anchored in it's a brand. And I still say you you are what you eat, so you know, you watch what you love, and you know, we were just in this weird place. But society is nuts, man, and you know it's so called witches all stakes back in the days, and they believed in all this different stuff. So you know it's not sustainable though, like because humans will always fail purity tests, Yes, exactly.

So it's one of these things, man, where you just hope that the evolution of the world man goes in the direction that is progressive that we trust each other on some level, that that nothing we say or nothing we do we're meaning any harm to you. You know, and I know there are people who do mean harm to you, but there has to be a balance there where you understand the purpose of what we are doing and with the purpose of entertainment is congrats on the

Emmy win two brother man. That was That was fun. Man. I had two things going on that night. One, I was opening the show, so I had to open a monologue. And I was the first presenter, So being a professional, I'm thinking about making the show opens up great and presenting the first award. You know, I wasn't even thinking about the nomination while I was because I just want to make sure I did a great job. Who knows, maybe one day I hosted damn Emmas, but I want

to make sure I killed it. So I went up there and did my job, and then I went and sat down in the audience. You know, I hadn't waited for the nominations or whatever, but I wasn't it wasn't on. It was an honor to be nominated, but if I had lost it, but it's just been a great night out I've been happy. I did a great job opening the show. It's really about everybody, you know. I'm not gonna let myself be singled out as someone who wants

to you know. It was the feeling where you're surprised was it because yaid you weren't even think it about it. I wasn't. I wasn't. It was kind of gone. And then my category came up, and then my my writing partner, myuse was like he tapped me on. He's like, he's like, yo, did you rat a speech in case you went? I said, I did not write speech, so you really didn't even think. But but it's not even that, I just know, you know,

sometimes you got to go off instanct. I'm gonna misspop from the hard think people who I knew were instrumental in my movement, and I was kind of a man and left there with something inspiring for people and left. But I also let them know that, look, man, this is an honor to be on this stage, but it's also something that you know. It's your pace car, you know, it's your checkpoint. And I said, man, I think you guys for are even considering me to be nominated. Now

I changed mentally. Like Fat Joe said, yesterday's price is not to day's price. You didn't feel like the price, man, because I consider myself to tortoise, you know, the tortoise on the Hairs story. I'm consider myself tortoise. Man. I'm talking. I don't stup on toes, I don't burn bridges. I just kind of move man in a certain way, certain mentality. And that's the only way I know how to do it, man. And I just focus on every bright spot, and I try to learn from every bad spot, and I just

try to make sure it's fun, man, you know. And then that's what that's the energy you got. You you're gonna have to have in what we do. Once. Once you become embrasive or demanding for something, like you deserve something, it changes who you are and it terms how people see you. That's that's never been me. You also have a daughter, right, yes, old twenty seven man, and she works from me. Oh, Jerika, she works for me. How is that? Having your working for good and back? Because

sometimes you can't really boss around you your kids like that. Dad, Shut up. You realize how dumb your ass is, how old your ass is. When a young person is telling you how to do your social media and how to press this button. I could be on my on my I phone. She's like, no, daddy, okay, you know, but I think it's cool to have her close. And she's smart, man, she's you know, she knows what she's doing and it helps, you know, having someone around you cares, cares like that

about yourself. Press yeah, yeah, it keeps you doing all right. We got more with JB. Smooth when we come back. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning morning. Everybody's DJ Envy Angela Yee. Charlemagne, the guy we are the Breakfast Club was still kicking it with JB. Smooth. Charlomagne, how did you stay in stand up shape during the pandemic? I didn't. I was on for a whole year and a half day. A year and a half man, I was all, man, I'm telling you, how did you work out? Did you

work out in front of your kids? Your wife? The wife? That's where you started the podcast. The podcast helps so much because you really it's really about hearing yourself. When you're in that dam pandemic. You're sitting the damn how you can't hear yourself? You learned about stuff more so than anything, but also being off allowed me to see better about what's going on and see and almost see

what people are looking for. Now, you're performing in New York City, New York, Caroline, So, New York got a lot of different rules regulations. I'm sure you heard what's going on with Kyrie. Oh yeah, man, thoughts on that? Oh Man, you know people drive their own vehicle. Man, I think you have to drive your own vehicle. I think people are gonna go the way they want to go, man. And I don't think they have to judge what's too much for them. Yeah, I think it's I think it's

his choice, but to do what he feels. Man, And being human sometimes allows you options on what you specifically want for yourself. You landed for typically just like brothers would list like us, can't them kind of word, bro, you gotta work on yours, brother, I don't say specifically specifically like I heard a few, I had a few. I'm one of the top ten they say, that's one of the top ten most different words for brothers like us with a listen to say specifically shut up, Yeah,

you gotta work on the man. But yeah, yeah, yeah, That's why I'm able to do these commercials and do voiceover work. So well, you know you did you ever have you cut your boys? Many? Yeah? Did you ever have to work on it? They send me to a speech class one time, and he had me putting my tongue behind my teeth, says when I say s words, Yeah, it's just annunciation, man, And just hear yourself like how cocky? You actually really don't. But you know, we know we

just evolved. Man. I always talk about how we evolved. Man, say statistician, what right? Right? I might correctly, I might be repeated vs. You in the r VS? Right? Man? Can you tell you something? Camping? No, there's three things now. One is camping, one is RV in and one is resorting. Now here you go. Camp sites are are very difficult. People gonna be intense, people gonna be in little RVs, people gonna be in big rbs. But if you want

to glam now, I do RV resorts. You know, was an RV resort that it is just like a regular resort, but it's only RVs. Put RVs in there. You got a parking area, you got an outdoor kitchen, it got all the goodies. Man. Sometimes you have a perla you can just hang out. Oh man, it is amazing. It's like riding around in a New York apartment. Really is that small? And like, you know, why not flying? Get a hotel? You like being on the road. Man, it's really cool to just I have your own. Like our

RV is a thirty eight footer. We drive to the RV resort is gated to get inside there. You got a clubhouse, you got a gym, you got three or four pools, putting greens, every tennis, everything you want. You could rent a golf cart and ride around the whole properties huge sometimes like twenty thirty acres. You didn't have fun, enjoy meet other RV ers. Just enjoy yourself. You see too many black people? Yeah, I really need some, but I would consider myself the number one black damn RVA.

I'll tell you that much. It sounds like a fun though, No it is. I'm telling you. If you got one, you got one, and you got one, and we all said we're gonna roll out and go up state, and you got your family and yours, your family, your family and yours. I got my family in mine and we're riding Man, I'm tell you something and nothing more fun than that. Man, I'm telling you. You get there, y'all roll up. The party just rolled up. You got Netflix inside your RV. You got all your goodies in there.

You got a fridge full of food. You got a little grill you can put outside and grilled with. Is a showering RVO Oh hell yeah, full bathroom. Man's in the r right. Huh. You do what you gotta do. See, Yeah, you have a clean out. You have a hole that goes on, it comes out. You put it in the ground at the resort. It's a baby. You don't even to touch nothing. Man, sounds very free. I want to get your full tratorial right now. But you get one and come to CALLI. You get when we ride up

to Yosemite, and we'll just kick it. Man, I'll show you all the ins and out. Don't worry about that. There's no questions, just answers to her leading up to a special. You know what, I do want it to lead to a special, but I will, I will say, Man, after doing it so many years, Man, this make this might be my last tour really yeah, And I don't want to be doing this to sixth I don't have the patience or the energy. I want to create some different memories and I think, you know, it's going to

be one of those things where UM produce directing. I think that's in my future and I think I have a lot to give visually, and from doing it so long, I think I know exactly what what works as far as film, TV, and I think I learned a lot and then. And that's why, you know, even like when I got on SL, I did it for to make my resume look better, to get in certain doors, to get in certain meetings, to be around certain people. You know, I'm a great, amazing host. I met is working on

SNL as a writer. You know, even though I was a performer and a stand up and I would love to have been a cast member, but I knew that even getting in the building had opportunity to make moves. Next thing, you know, I'm doing warm up for two years. Next thing you know, I'm in monologues. I'm in a sketch here and there. I'm a damn writer. Behind I took the job as a writer, but of course they knew I could do other things. But I think that's

what you gotta do thirty something years in. I just think that there's a lot more you can do with your brand, and it's not easy doing stand up and in this climate. It's a lot in this climate. And one thing, the one thing that's weird about it is

you can't see smiles through the mask. You know why you're on stage, You're like you're starting a bit and you're wondering if it's going right the way because you can't see like someone smirk a little bit like they on the premise of the joke, so you don't get that.

And also when you when you were in the mask, the laughter is muffled and you used to feeling it on your skin a certain way, and you know, feeling that on your skin no more like, oh man, you feel the reverberation of their laughter and if you know, you feel the energy. We appreciate you for joining us today. Brother, y'all dope was always Karen Lions this weekend. Two shows on Friday, two shows Saturday, and one on Sunday. To get your tickets and we appreciate you, brother. Yeah, man,

I was a far from Home and now I'm in the new one alsome. But hell, I don't remember Jimmy's moving far from Home. That was the teacher me and oh yeah, yeah,

what happening is k ok ok ok okay. We handled damn powers. So him the power of knowledge absolutely from morning partner way longer than I don't think the move I think I got cut what what whate? He was having died was blider Man, but I don't think. I don't know it was wider Man. But man was made in the sky and that was oh got you got you, got you jav Small. It's the bad morning. I love y'all. The Breakfast Club. Yes, it's the one of the most

day this morning to show the Breakfast Club. Charlottagne and guard Angela DJ and and it's time for the Room and report. It's new Music Friday. It's about got Angela on the Breakfast Club. Well, I'm sure y'all. Now Young Thugs album is out today Punk and we do have some previews for you of that. Of course, Ja Cole, his partner, is on the album It's Stressed. I got

a few legal feeds. I got a daddy medical bills credit to fix people to pay you play light when you're playing my That's Stressed with Jacole and t Shine. So Gun is on the album Future Juice World Post Malone and they sat rocky Um. That's song is tough. This song Bubbly with Drake and Travis Scott. I cut on my wristsoking with Eco Chiller, calling they won't see the fine. I took her to China check up a time,

but she ain't talking the same. By nights up, still bobbing in rage and the spare still living the range. It feels like a Thugs festival album, like he made this album for those festival crowds, like that record the bubbly there living it up record tough tunes, but I can really see them ringing off at festival, all right. And he got some slower slowed it down in the beginning to die slow stupid asking all right now, dojakats on the album as well? And so is Mac Miller.

Day before, says a kid, I've been an addressing him that I was Damn's green bits stuck doing one flipping ye swimming deeper all right, So make sure y'all listen to that today. Also, Mac Miller's Faces is on streaming services. That album's from twenty Fourteenrow too, yep, and can the man what's my name? That? That? Is? This a whole album? It's ten songs, so yeah, so that's out today too. All right now says it. Has also announced a series

of intimate performances that will take place in November. It starts off in Houston November third, and the last one is in Vegas Day in Vegas, November fourteen. All right now. Jonah Hill has asked for fans to please refrain from commenting on his body, good or bad. He said it's not helpful and it doesn't feel good. He said, I know you mean well, but I kindly asked that you not comment on my body good or bad. I want you to politely let you know it's not helpful, it

doesn't feel good much respect, I don't think. He had previously addressed his weight a few months ago a publication posted pictures of him shirtless at a beach, and he said, I don't think I ever took my shirt off in a pool until I was in my mid thirties, even in front of family and friends. Probably would have happened sooner if my childhood insecurities weren't exacerbated by years of

public mockery about my body by press and interviewers. So the idea that the media tries to play me by stalking me while surfing and printing photos like this, and it can't phase me anymore as dope, I'm thirty seven and finally love and accept to myself. Oh, he's absolutely right. But telling social media to not comment on something, he's telling social media to comment on something. I think he also means interviewers and people he knows, he's even if

it's something positive. He's like, just don't even you know, sometimes people would be like, oh you look so much better, Oh you lost a lot of weight. He doesn't even want people to do that great sentiment. But they're not gonna listen to him on social media, all right, Well they've been warned and told, all right, Pink Floyd the co founder Roger Waters, he's seventy eight years old, and he just married a forty three year old woman who was his former driver. He announced it on Instagram. Camilla

Chavis is her name. They were dating for around five years, and he's worth three hundred and ten million dollars. By the way, he said, I actually met her at one of my concerts a couple of years ago. She worked in transportation. She was driving the car that was taking me at the Coachella festival. He played that in twenty sixteen. He said, I was in one place for two weeks and there were many transfers between the hotel and the venue. My security sat in the front with her and they

talked while I stayed in the back. I don't know. Something about her attracted me. And then one day he said excuse me, and he said, did someone ever tell you that you have beautiful cheekbones? And that was the beginning of it, that reaction. By the way, she's a black woman, so when you see the picture of them, she's forty three, he's seventy eight. But one of the

founders of Pink Floyd. Complimenting random things works, right, Yeah, people normally compliment, Yeah, I think, so you can't be like, excuse me, you have a beautiful fat ass, Like you can't say something like that, right, you cannot do that? Now I love your collible. This is clavic. Yeah all right. Gabrielle Union says that she used to have really low self esteem and at one point, um she wanted to

really be a video vixen. Here's what she said. And when my internship ended, they were like, would you ever consider being like one of our clients and us representing you and mind you. I had such low self esteem. I wanted to be a video host so bad. Like I didn't want to be in movies. I didn't want to be in commercials. Now they are video vixens ig models. Yeah, but I wanted to be like Abbage, except I lacked

all of the necessary accoutremal. I mean, for Gabby's age, I can see why she she wanted to be a video vixen. Video vixens, you know, were considered the thing back then, right, Yeah? It look when they would living the life. Yeah, they got pretty famous. And this was on the JJ Reddick and Tommy at Is the Old Man and the three podcasts that she also talked about auditioning for the California love video Tupac. Like I was literally, you know, auditioning for like California Love video with Tupac.

And so you fell into a really successful acting career when you wanted to be a video yeah, trying to be in music. I was like, let me try, Like, you know, my handed acting, and I have a photographic memory and you know, memorizing like Saved by the Bell scripts not that hard. So I started booking things right away, and they were like, this is something, well, good for her, and look at how successful she's been absolutely her career. But you never know what life has for you or

what God has for you. It's my guy, Tommy and JJ Reddick Tommy. Tommy's my guy. Good white people right there? All right, well that is your room of reports. Now we got what are you laughing for? Because I got a lot of the people and tell them you got the People's Choice mix coming up at the v What do you want to hear? Left? Oh? You know what, Adele has some new music out today. You think he's gonna put that in the mix? Nope, damn anything else? What about the new song with Summer Walker and JT.

I know we've been playing at this morning that's playing at nine o'clock because it's the iHeartRadio whatever stimulus package they got going on, So that's gonna play nine o'clock anyway, right right, yep? Yeah, what else did we want to hear? I don't know, huh. Anyway, make a request if you guys V and also put up a red flag with there's a cap exactly any request we tell y'all to do, that's absolutely cap. All right, I need to put a red flag and a blue cap. I mean, it's very interesting man, my man, Tristan Harris, if you've ever seen The Social Dilemma on Netflix, the documentary that's basically, you know, exposing how these tech companies work. And if you saw the testimony that Anna Hougan, the Facebook whistle blower, you know, revealed last week, bro let
