vaccine or you got a placebo. It says fewer than ten percent of infections wearing participants who have been given the vaccine. More than ninety percent of the cases were in people who have been given a placebo. So it sounds like good news. Yeah, of course it is. I told y'all the whole narrative of COVID was going to change if Harris Biden won the election. It's going to be a mandatory mask, man, Dave, when Biden becomes president, and the hope of a vaccine being on the way

He was actually battling stage for a pancreatic cancer before he passed away at his home Sunday morning, he was surrounded by family and friends and hears what it sounded like over the weekend. We lost

our beloved host, Alex Trebec. This is an enormous loss for our staff and crew, for his family, and for his millions of fans. He loved this show and everything that stood for. In fact, he taped his final episodes less than two weeks ago. We will air his final thirty five episodes as they were shot. That's what he wanted, right Because when you hear about Alex Trebeck and you're like, okay,

he's eighty years old. He had pancreatic cancer. When I heard that story, in my mind, I said to myself, he lived a full life and and and he passed. He passed peacefully. He transitioned peacefully. That's what you would hope for, right, Yes, okay, well they did have a moment of silence, and so those episodes that he already filmed will be airing through Christmas Day. So they said he was filming just two weeks ago before he passed away. Wow, he probably eighty years old. He you know, he'd been

battling cancer for a while. He probably just knew like, Okay, my my time is almost up, so let me, you know, do what I want to do in my last days. All right. We might be in the club three four, five days, come tests and nothing, you know, so we've been kind of blessed early on and didn't know what we did. Think we had it early on life in January because I had the cost for about two months.

I cannot get old. I was just called and the coughing so bad that I started, you know. I finally got some cough medicine from the doctor, but it didn't It helped me a little bit, but I think that's probably was COVID. Me and Tip was kind of going through that for while we had fevers, but COVID wasn't. We didn't know about COVID at the time it Right before it hit. Nick, let me ask you a question, now with the baby coming, what are some things you're

gonna adopt from your parents? One things you're not gonna do. I know when when I first had my kid, I was like, I'm not gonna be as protectives as my parents, and then I was worse than them, you know. So what's things you want, some things you're gonna take with some things you're not gonna do. Uh. You know, that's really a hard question because I just really don't know. I feel like a fish out of water with this

whole pregnancy. But I feel like I want to like not put her, you know, so much in the light at first, like I kind of want her to choose. But at the same time, I know like when she comes, I want to post her everywhere. Right, Oh, I just love my baby. But it's like, I don't know, and let's see. Definitely, in some ways, look how my mama looking like, girl, would you about to say? Um? In some ways I feel like, well, no, no, because y'all

really are not just super overprotective. I really feel like I'm going to take more from y'all than I'm gonna try to do stuff differently, Like I'm really close with my mom, Like I call you for everything. I probably tell you too much, but it works out. I'll probably do a lot of that, And when the baby comes, you're gonna understand why they were were the way with you the way they were. Absolutely, you gonna understand that once you have your kids. Yeah, the stuff that you

know y'all do that get on my nerves. I'm sure I'll understand. I can't want to see how much, how many whoopings, popping, how much discipline she puts in the game. Yeah, okay, that's what's That's one thing. Because you really my mom, y'all did not really pop me and do stuff like that. I'm gonna be given popper. I like the pressure that establishment Democrats like Jim Clyburn are putting on the president of elect because basically it's a whole lot of black people with a whole lot of demands, and I think this is the administration that will be receptive to all of that if they know what's good for them, because I would have hoped that they don't believe there was a record setting voter turnout because people actually like Joe Biden an old school establishment

Democrat politics. Okay, let's be cliff. It wasn't for an act of God called COVID, Donald Trump would have been reelected. And if this administration doesn't make major moves for black people over the next four years, especially if they win the Senate run offs in Georgia, they don't even have to worry about a large group of black people pulling up for them in future elections. Yes, so she had made some comments about EBT cards that people didn't like, and you know, she feels like EBT cards. Imagine if they could be used only for healthy foods. All right, So we're opening up the four months eight hundred five eight five, one oh five when we're asking how do you eat healthy

using the EBT card? So I guess what's up with you? Yeah, I mean, listen, I haven't used the EBT card in a while. But if my memory serves me correctly, the thing about EBTs you can buy healthy stuff, but the healthy stuff is expensive, you know what I'm saying. So a lot of times when you go on these stores with your EBT card, you're buying the cheaper items just because you're trying to make what's on that EBT card scratch. So I don't think it's necessarily that people don't want

to eat healthy. I just don't know if they can afford to. And I've read about programs like Healthy Staple Healthy Staples, and it's a plan that can help people that are on EBT eat more healthy because I think that WICK is based on the use of food packages that include food such as fruits, vegetables, and whole grains that are deemed to provide good nutrition and Healthy Staples pays grocers who supply basic healthful foods like food like grains, vegetables,

and beans. They paid them. Healthy Staples pays them to make sure that people don't EBT get that healthy food. If if I explain that right, I'm not sure I explained that all the way right. But yeah, I just knows the healthier foods. I just know they're super duper expensive. So it uh, it's hard to buy everything that you need buying that expensive food. I've never used the EBT card, um, but I like college. No, I never did. But in college we um. We used to buy ABT cards from

people and give them cash. And I didn't buy. My roommates did. That's what we used to get from the crackheads. Crack used to do with the EBT and then happy when the crackhead I came through with eb and my roommates used to buy to buy food for the for us in the dorm or our apartment. Well, I will say this, there's a lot of food deserts, and I know where I grew up, the supermarket there didn't have access to a lot. There's no whole foods like in

the hood, you know. So I think that part of the problem is also access, and that's one thing that we've been working on. That's why we did a juice barren bedside to begin with, just to have healthier options for a decent price. The juice started six dollars. You can get like a fold the juice equivalent to a meal. But I know it's not easy because sometimes you go on these supermarkets and stuff is expired. The food, the fresh fruits and vegetables aren't fresh, so you're like, I

can't buy that. It looks disgusting, And so I think that's part of the problem too. You can't say you can only buy healthy foods because you should be able to not limit what it is that you can purchase and also make sure that there's healthier options even available for people. Yeah, and you but you can. I mean, the crazy thing is it's not it don't be crazy money on these EVT cars. You know, sometimes it depends

on your household side. But if you got a family at three and it's five hundred and nine dollars on your EBT, you're not fast that money. You'll go trying to buy groceries. So yeah, I mean it's not. But you know what, this is good for people who are vegetarian and they still want to eat something and get some food, and they might like that. So you know, it's just an option because just because something is vegetarian or vegan doesn't mean necessarily that it's healthier for you.
