You're listening to the Brand ED Bullet from the Brand ED Podcast. Four freaky fast Friday wins to get you going for your weekend. Let's go. Win number one, something to try. Can I share my screen real quick. Now how many times a week do we hear that? Especially coming out of the pandemic?

Well, there's a new take for online meetings and remote collaboration and it's called sessions and their aim is to bring your tool stack into your online meetings with no extra apps, no extra accounts, no extra tabs. You run your meeting and all of your tools straight from your web browser with a large stack of functionalities. Now sessions.co bring some really interesting tools under one roof for your online meetings, for your webinars, for your workshops, for your courses.

I'm going to be trying it out very soon in one of my upcoming meetings. I'd love for you to try it out and share your thoughts. Win number two, something a client recently asked. A client recently came to me for some help getting above the day-to-day grind of building his online coaching business. He just felt like he was spinning his wheels and he was unsure of where he was trying to go. So I walked him through an exercise I use to bring focus, to help lift him out of the fog.

Here are the prompts that we walked through. Number one, what will success look like for your consulting business 12 months from right now? We wanted to define success as an attainable and measurable thing he could accomplish. Prompt number two, what is one key metric you can measure to help get you there over the next 12 months? That could be a monthly webinar attendance, email list growth. Book X amount of discovery calls per week. And then prompt number three.

What will your life look like 12 months from now when you achieve that success? We want to define the internal motivation. What's your favorite go-to when you need clarity or focus on your business to lift you out of the fog? Win number three, something to think about. Remember, nobody writes the book in the beginning. Nobody writes the book in the beginning. Learn from other people's experience, learn from their success as you read their book.

But don't put pressure on yourself to know it all right now. The guru or author of the book did not know it before they wrote the book. They discovered. It Through a process of trial and error, mistakes and success and oftentimes a heavy dose of luck. But in a book you get to go back and edit all of that packaged up and put a nice bow on it Win number four, something personal. Speaking of reading business books, maybe you're like me. You read a business book by an expert.

She outlines her steps to success and she makes it look so easy. So logical. So, duh, why haven't you figured this out already? Granted, the author never calls me out like that. I tend to do that myself instinctively. That's not great. I know. But on one of my walks recently where I was decompressing and reflecting the quote from when number three came to mind. If the expert or guru was so superior, so other worldly, so next level. Then she would have written the book before she started.

Bottom line 99% of the time. The book is written after trial and error success. Not before. Nobody has it figured out. So take the pressure off. If they did, they'd have the guts to write the book before. Now am I the only one who reads a book like that and then feels like an idiot for not figuring it out already. Hit me back and let me know Thanks for joining me on this episode of the brand ed bullet. Good news.
