What's saying that your boy Fredo bang be Me's in Moon Rock Raader. I'm like, maybe the scared name of me ain't telling the money'll make no since speaking catch me on a bootleg kill partcad let go What the Butleg Cap Podcasts Special guest.
Let's get his mic right? My guy Fredo bang is back on the show. Finally. It's been a while, man, been a couple of years. Good to see you, bro, Yeah, been a little bit. Ah, yeah it was. I think the last time you're on the pod, it was like it was definitely two years ago, at least it was. I think it was right maybe like a few months before you got locked up. The last time two years ago. So yeah, what's up? How's how's everything? Man? Getting ready for the new project? Yeah, yes, I'm sad.
Yeah, So what I'm saying explain so well? Basically, uh, there's two reasons why I named it. That all the music that's on this project I made when I was going through a real rough time my life last since I've been out of jail. And also it's basically like it's like an iron and things like basically showing you, okay, we can make regular music. And be sad as hell. Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
Also, thank you for that, because I feel like I'm tired of just like I just feel like hip hop needs to be a little more vulnerable, be a little more honest, you know what I mean. So when you say because because because it takes first of all, to name your album, that that's a big that's a brave
thing to do. You know what I'm saying. Were you going back and forth about doing it because to be like that vulnerable publicly, you know, and and you're kind of seeing as like a quote unquote gangster rapper.
You know what I'm saying. It was either that I forgot what the other name was. I forgot what the other name was, but it was namely that what was.
What about the last couple of years had you in a little place.
It was just going to jail for nothing? And when I went to jail, you know, I was at the top of my career.
For sure.
It's slowed me down. I had the refund shows, I had the just basically like I had just restart everything on some you know what I'm saying, Because you lose your you know, it's like you lose that that flow, you know what I'm saying, So just redoing that. And then I had label problems with my main with my independent label, so I couldn't put out no projects. I haven't put out a project in fourteen months.
I was gonna say it's been a minute, it's at least a year.
Yeah, But it's not my fault.
So it's just so because for people who don't know your well, I don't know if you still are you still on deaf Jam? Yeah? Okay? So you had a label that that deal was through, like your OG label right from is that from Baton Rouge? Nah? Okay, but just like an independent label that yeah. So because rich HOMEI Kwan went through something similar with t Ig where they prevented him from releasing music for years, right, So what was what was the disagreement and how did it end up getting.
Basically, they had a legal situation with a third another party that kept them back from handling business with me properly, and so it just was tied up, crisscrossed and just just deep bringing the worse and worse, you know what I'm saying, And we just couldn't settled it for a while.
What ended up being the resolution, like what was the typical I.
Want to get too too deep, But like I say, I don't fault them all the way because it happens right people you know don't like you said something. Just my biggest thing was I felt like like they helped me get to where I am. I wouldn't be where I'm at without them. But I feel like as the artist, I am the initiatives that I take as much as work I put in on half of both of us. I feel like, you know what I'm saying. Sometimes you got to swallow a pill for me, you feel me
because I do the same for you. So I just feel like what I was going through I shouldn't been going through even for that loan, right, I should feel like she immediately got fixed.
What would be advice because we've seen recently similar situations like Megan and fifteen oh one I think it was fifteen oh one and Carl Crawford, they went through it. If you're a young up and coming artist, sometimes people can come into your life and, like you said, make things possible for you right when you don't got nothing.
So you're just like, hey, let's do it. But is there any sort of things people should look out for or things people should do to kind of protect themselves from getting into a situation where that you've that you kind of like learned from this situation.
I'm gonna say, no matter what you do and precautions that you take, how the music industry is set up, and it's not because of just the labels, it's just how it should be going. It's so easy for us all just to get fucked out of running like it's just playing stuff. It's just easy, you know what I'm saying. It's not set in law. That just had has to happen. That has to happen sometimes, like with l ods. I
even got l d's that's something to everybody. Get letter of direction, letter dis and make sure what's old to you get paid to you, and what's good old to everybody else go to them so nobody get it. Collect from somebody money and they got to wait for them to pay them. I got those, but my ship still messed up to it. It couldn't get put in and fixed.
So for people who don't know what a letter direction is, it could be I'm not like a music lawyer. It's just a sign document saying that it's it's also how you can distribute masters too. Like so for.
Example, let's says, let's say you put an album out right, your or like your l O.
D's would be sent to death Jam. So depth Jam knows who to pay before it hits like yeah, someone else's pockets and you got to depend on that person to do right by you.
See, this is the thing, like, it's depth Jam is the publishing side being out because it's so many different sides of the music. You know what, the right side. We got the vilager side, so that's too. Right there, you got death Jam, you got the people who collect the pub they got the police, people who may collect YouTube separately. They got motherfucking sound exchange, all of it.
It's just a lot, bro. So who do you depend on because people I see people getting take advantage on by lawyers too, Like you also got to kind of make sure you got you hire the right lawyer.
I don't went through that too, because I don't had lawyers. They don't even do shit, and then.
And they get a cut for nothing. It's like, hey, you know, I could have probably just googled this contract online. I mean it seems like, I mean, most people don't know about the things we're speaking about most artists, So for you, you kind of had to go through it to be like.
I mean, that's sometime. Really it was all just learned because like I'm savage to shit. You feel me, and I'm the type of person where I read shit three full times. Like all my contracts I looked at, I go over. I waited til our sign them. You know what I'm saying. But sometimes you just don't fullip. You know what I'm saying, understand until you go through it. You feel me and then you learn and the next go round is wrong. You get it right?
Would you say you're happy with Depth Jams so far?
H I'm happy in my position. Yeah, I feel like there's always to be better. I can't follow death Jam for a lot of things because they are for want their legendary label. What comes with that though, is an old horse. Oh yeah, you feel me, and I'm a very new horse. Sometimes it's very hard for those old horses to break habits, old habits. You gee what I'm saying. Also, it's a bunch of new people stated comeing in.
Well, that's what I was gonna say. Since you've been signed to Death Jam, there's been regime changes at the LAB.
We had like three different presidents.
Right, and that I always feel like, if let's say the president who is there when you're signed, they're gonna be the most excited about you because they're responsible for your signing, right, or the an R whoever, whoever brought you into depth jam right. Once they leave, it's up in the air whether or not the person who replaces him.
Paulsberg one who brought me in A side shout out to Paul Eminem's manager Goliath Entertainment a legend.
But it always, like I see it happen all the time where somebody will get brought into a label situation and then wants their whole squad that brought them in leaves and goes through a different label, and then there's a whole new people and then they're not as enthusiastic about it or they don't understand it as well.
The good thing with me is and shout out to the president like tounge of that right now, great guy, and he'll very understanding.
He fort of orders like one hundred percent. He's solid about aside as they come.
And it's hard coming in trying to fix it everything for sure. Uh. The thing with me is, I'm pretty different from a lot of orders. I don't wait on the label to cut the chick to go get the video.
You just handle it.
I handle it and I wait to get it later. So and then you'll you'll file like a reimbursement right so out the gate, I'm productive.
Yeah.
For two, I'm very budget savvy, you know what I'm saying, Like, I'm not going fucking to go get a fifty thousand dollars video that I don't need because you can spend and I don't and I don't feel like it's gonna make back, you know what I'm saying. And I have projects that are in the green already.
Which nobody has right on major label systems. It's very tan.
If I could, if I can push, I can pushed out with three four certifications, a bunch of chartings with depth, jail with three different presidents and all this stuff going on.
What if everything was consistent.
Right, so everybody knows my work, you know what I'm saying.
That's interesting, Yeah, because for people who don't know, like if you're an artist, I think a lot of times.
And I'm want of the top streamers over there. You know what I'm saying, No shit.
I want to shot you out too, because I think you're in a good position to depth because right now, deaf Jam needs a star they don't have, like YG left Big Sean's like mid cycle, Like you know, I know Benny the Butcher's about to drop his album, but like I feel like deaf Jam, like you're the young star on the label now, which can only help you because they need it, Like they really like that. It's
kind of cold over there. You know what I'm saying in terms of like when you compare them to like Republic or you compare them to Interscope or you know what I'm saying, Capital or RCA. But it's funny you say that your budget savvy, because you know, I always tell artists because I have a recording studio, so I was a artists, like, hey, I got the big studio vocal chain and it's seventy dollars an hour.
But that's fine, seventy an hour with an engineer. But but don't give me the label invoice shit.
Pay for the studio otherwise they're gonna send you to a paramount where they're gonna send you to like, you know, one of these big and it's two fifty an hour engineer.
I do pay. I do pay sometimes all the time. I will. I won't is if I'm locking in for like two three weeks and I got folks.
Sometimes That's what I'm saying. People, people you know thise people will come to LA and they'll stay in the studio for like a week straight and I'm like, bro, you know how much that week cost you? And you're over here ordering fucking Boston Nova.
When it comes to me bringing full five producers in flight. So it's a lot more money involved. So just so they know I'm not on some trying to eat it at my budget type because some some weird people do that. And I don't know why they do that, because you're just taking money that you got to pay back.
Well, those artists they live off advances, they don't. That's there's a lot of artists I know who they're like, hey man, they give you get that advance and you don't ever think you're going to see another Red Scent off that album. So it's like I got to get the next album, turn it in. Is I get my you know, half a million or whatever? It is that's
that's dope you got. You got a bunch of music in the green because that's not a common practice with a lot of young artists because they that budget off.
I mean, and it's hard the custo. It was a very hard to get in the green, Like your music got have to do good and your budget has to be low to getting the green fast.
What was something that you were able to like do to kind of get out of the funk you were in because you had so much momentum and you still I mean, look, it's not like you don't have momentum.
Yeah, it's just but you you had.
It was on the radio everywhere.
I'd be wanting more out myself, you know. But I'm saying, like, how were you able to put yourself out of that and just kind of like did it kind of like make you hungrier? Like you get out of jail, are you like super fucking laser focused or you just a little discouraged? The first So when I got out of jail, I had to go through a process of the rest of my papers. So at first they wouldn't let me go back home to my house. I was about had to get a new house, so it was just in
Florida or Florida. They wouldn't let me go back at first. So it's just there's so many things that I had to go through, so my mind wasn't always focused, and like I said, I forgot my rhythm. So now I'm trying to fix it. I'm taking so long to try to fix the labor issue. Right, I'm not focused on getting my music out by any means necessary, you know
what I'm saying. And so it's just I wouldn't focus and right now, and when you do get off focused, you gotta find that confidence again because you feel me like, that's when you can't realize.
It's almost like when you're a basketball player and that shots not going in. You just got to shoot yourself out.
Of the funk, right right, And so then that's when the comments start getting to you. To that's when it started sucking with you know what I'm saying.
So do you find yourself reading comments?
Yeah? I read it. I watched it.
I watch everything. You gotta stop no, stop reading.
The reason why I don't it's because I want that good up at.
You know what it is? Though you got here doing you apologetically, what's going to happen is you spend too much time reading the comments. Even if you don't think it's affecting you subconsciously, it's affecting you subconsciously. You're thinking that. One brother, you got to understand the type of human beings that leave comments on YouTube videos and like these
posts like imagine sick flex. He said, Man, this shit heavy hurt no, but imagine Like I always tell this to people, like you know, because like I have a YouTube channel and sometimes I'll get stuck reading the comments and I'll be like, damn, someone left a paragraph under this video they took three five minutes out of their day to comment on a stranger's piece of content, something negative, like imagine like how fucked up in your day's got to be? Or your life gotta be.
It'll be sometimes it can be like it would be the troll, but it'll be funny to me and sometimes right number day, sometimes it make me mad. You know what I'm saying.
It just yeah, like if I if something ever comes across my Twitter timeline that's negative, I just retweet it, yeah, because I don't give a fuck. I just like, shit, you don't let the comments get to you, bro. I would stop reading them on that ain't good for your health.
What is it good for you? Day, mushroom? I got a lots a mental This is the mental drugs.
It'll help you. Yeah, I mean are you still on papers? Oh you're not?
I finally good?
Good congratulations man, congrats. Yeah that's gotta feel like.
Yeah, that was like I said, that was another process I was going to.
So now that you're not on probation, it's almost.
Like I can go out to the country and everything.
You could do what you want now man, and like leave that whole part of your life just in the rear view mirror, like you know what I'm saying, Like there's other bags to get now. Now you could go Is there a country that I want to?
Bahamas? And got my first of the country chip, How was it? It was beautiful? I love them Bahamas. I'll get a house out.
Though, Yeah for sure. Now you just gotta like travel for fun. Hey, I got a week off I'm gonna take I'm gonna go.
See that's the thing, like fun and don't really exist in my life right now because I'm rind album.
Yeah feel yeah, Well, once the album's out, once you once the videos dropped the singles are out.
I'm not gonna be happening to I just get into a groove that is ways just more less stressful as far as like it's just gonna do good. You know what I'm saying. For sure, until I get back into that group too, I feel like I can't. I feel like I can't miss Yeah.
Yeah, well I think too. Like another thing is like nowadays, just because something doesn't hit the way you thought it was gonna hit, just keep going.
Yeah, because a lot of times we put out shit and then it ketch up later on, like Trust Issues is gold not right? When I first put that out, it had like seventy thousands viewsed the first week, and.
You were probably like, damn, I thought that brother the Jid song with twenty one Savage the Round Sound, that song as a year and a half old, real Yeah, the Ceiling Challenge song. Yeah, that song is from early last year or no, early twenty twenty two, and it popped up again in twenty twenty three because of TikTok.
That's how UBI doing it would be go viral on TikTok or something.
That's what I'm saying, like you never know, like just and then also like you're you're you're smart to understand like catalog like matters. So it's like, hey, you know, whatever you put out, it just it's just gonna add to the catalog. Speaking of catalog, would you ever see yourself in a position one day to like a lot of people are selling their catalog, selling their pub I don't think you're there yet, but like let's say five.
Off off my pub a thousand times.
Oh you have not interested?
Real I was liking my chicks. Yeah, now they come with something just outrageous, and then it doesn't have nothing to do with the music I'm making for it. Maybe it just it just depends on you know what I'm saying, because pub mostly uh includes like radio and stuff. Yeah, so you gotta think.
And tops still getting paid all right.
Now, if I get to the point where I feel like, Okay, I don't juice to ship do songs as much as I can on radio and stuff, let me go ahead and move forward, you know what I'm saying, Then.
I tend to say for you, like somebody who is like kind of was broken like on YouTube and the streaming world, how important because you you had a radio hit, which is not a lot of people have had in your position because they're streaming success and then once you get a radio hit, it's just a little different.
A lot of radio nice, nice radio play, a lot of radio support.
I was gonna say, like, when you get one of them ones that like it is like a top ten at urban, you know what I'm saying. And I think I think, uh top was Top twenty.
Rhythm it got it got top fifteen, yeah, I think urban, and I think maybe toe in one.
Yeah yeah, rh yeah. But when you get one of those, like that's got to feel good, like getting.
The first time ever feeling like a real rapper, right.
Because then you're doing you're going around. You gotta go see the every every city, you gotta go see the DJ, you gotta go program director.
All the time, it was just I'm I'm a numbers person, so I'm I'm the artist that I have my autists access to every single outlet of my music, so I know exactly what my music doing in every different spot if you got the numbers. So when Top came out, and it should just like oh different said, so this is what a radio looks like. The pub a whole different way, all type.
So who do you got on this album?
I got Rick Ross, I got Rob for a.
Nine shot to Rob, A great guy.
I told a lot of people about Robb before he popped off. Uh treated, I got Kevin Gates.
Gates, Hey Badridge legend. Ye have you hung out with him yet?
Yeah?
He's a very interesting person. He's interesting man, but he in the best way possible. I feel like he's so like spiritually awoken. Now you'd just be hanging out with it, but he just just he just got energy pouring out of him, you know what I'm saying.
I like to catch his shows that I can just to get because his shows have a good energy. His live shows are crazy homies jumping around and I feel like he's just doing burpies his whole set.
That motherfuckers and so he's he's like ripped now and ship we're doing a show with him. I gotta drive to Phoenix tonight because the station on out there is like it's like our big radio show and he's headlining. So I'm looking forward to his set. Shout out to Kevin Gates.
I think I've seen that fly. I got a couple more people on that art.
Yeah, it's it's a pretty random show. But it's Kevin Gates, Tech nine, Young Nudy, Yeah yeah, Johanne.
Lucas, Oh yeah, I see, I've seen that.
Uh give me the dynamic between rob four Nines obviously from uh from New Orleans, obviously, Baton Rouge New Orleans. I feel like historically the vibes have been different musically because it's two different worlds, two different worlds, two different places. I've never I've only driven through Baton and Ruge, never hung out. I've hung out in New Orleans a couple of times. What is the relationship between the two places today?
And you know, I think it's dope to see you guys working together, but like I feel like there should be more like you know, pollination of the of everybody kind of rocking with each other, you know what I'm saying.
So Louisiana is a real crab crab and buck bucket type of place. So Bandon Ridge, New Orleans, we always like had weird right, It's like it's like it's like not a Seers rivalry, but it's like when Katrina happened in New Orleans, came to Badon Roods and people's living out like about fighting giving each other all types of stuff. You feel me, It's just two different worlds. I think New Orleans is more Uh, has a more variety of cultures that influence them. Uh, but that's because it's it's
it's been a port. It's a bigger city. Yeah, you fear meta. It's a trade city, so you always have people coming in, coming out and influencing them. You know what I'm saying. That's why they have more cultural stuff than us. You feel me, that's fair. I thought what I thought was dope was like the second line we don't say line interesting. Yeah, you feel me like it's just different stuff.
Yeah, I I need to go hang out in bad Rooge.
Uh, it's really ain't nothing to matter.
Food. I say, the food I was invited to do. Like, is it crawfish season? Crawall, No, there's somebody had told me to go out there with him. Uh, there's like a season in which you like can hunt crawfish out there, like they're out and you just grab like raw crawfish everywhere.
You do that and random pawn.
Yeah. My thing is I don't like crawfish like that. I like the meat, but I don't like the motherfuckers sucking the heads off the ship. Pause, big paws, big super back to back paw. I mean do you like crawfish?
Yeah?
Absolutely, yeah, Yeah, I don't know man very like like you said, they're in ponds.
Like yeah, like you can go grab like a certain times you can go grab a h crawfish out of ditch.
This is true.
Uh.
What was it like? Did you win Rosslink when you were in Miami?
Oh, we don't think col size, but to put us on yeah, nah, suns to time. Yeah, because I had got a feature for him from my uh he lives in at somebody who used to be my orders. I had got a verse for him from Ross and Dan willing up.
You had to be okay, okay, okay. What's that like like trying to do the label thing as an artist who's still bubbling and on the come up yourself?
Oh, I'm kind of sad with it right now because I just had a just a bad fall out with my ex artist. But I'm I think I should just focus on myself. You're right, because people just don't work like you, and it's just people just don't understand the business sometimes and some people just don't I don't know they heart just don't be in the right places sometimes.
I also feel like artists sometimes if you're not, Like I feel like the guy who's like the Golden Standard is like Gotti, because Gott he had a twenty year run and and like you know, he always had CMG, you know what I'm saying, But like I feel like he really had so much. He had like solidified his position as like a top dog before he really really
dug into the label side. So it was like, I feel like if you're an artist that's like still kind of working on like solidifying yourself, Like it's kind of hard for you to like worry about so much at the same time because you're worried about it's definitely because it's so much mental. You only have so much mental bantage.
You gotta take care of your stuff and take care of us. It was like trying to turn into projects at the same time.
And you also kind of feel like you gotta kind of baby if the other artists working like yours, you feel like you're kind of babysitting.
Hey man, when you're gonna drop something, you know you can't want it more than they want it, So yeah, damn, what's the sound of this album, the new singles Dope by the Way come Through. Yes, nope, you know I shot that back last year and watched.
Oh so that's a that's an old video.
Yeah, I just never dropped it. Wow, I'll be having already really yeah, because I was gonna the situation had got so bad to it. I was gonna drop the album myself.
Just fuck it, yeah and just deal with whatever happened.
But I ain't want to go through the So this.
Album was the album for the most part, you were gonna say, fuck it, I'm gonna drop the ship myself. This is exactly Oh shit, So this is dope. So you've already got you probably already got all the visuals fucking ready to go. You've already had.
I'm working on my next project.
I bet now you got. You can't. You can't sit on your hands like you did with the last album because of the legal situation. What about are you doing anything with your money, like, are you investing? Are you doing anything outside of just like you know, typical fucking having nice cars.
And I'm not a big spender though, I'm not into all that because I've put so much of my money back into so like for one project, I might spend eighty one hundred thousand dollars on just videos and stuff. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. So I'm more, way, more safer than a lot of people. Plus I have a mortgage and kids and stuff like that.
How many kids you got, I got to two kids. Fatherhood something that has changed you for the better.
Yeah, I bet it's just only the negative side of it for me is having to overly care about I have to. I have to care about you know what I'm saying. When I have to, But I care more.
You have to. I mean, you don't have to.
I'm just saying I care more about somebody else besides you, right, you feel me. It's a new feeling, right, So my work will get put on the back burner sometimes.
But yeah, if your kids sick or something, because it's.
A double negative, because okay, yes I love my child with all my heart. But if I miss work, it don't work. You know, you can't support you can't support you. You got to make sure I'm around you all the time. You feel I can't make money, It's called work life balance, bro.
You got to figure that out.
So I miss a lot of stuff.
But you know, as long as you're there for enough of it.
I just hope that they understand when they get old.
I'm sure they do for sure.
Man, are you like a big Are you like a big LSU football guy? Yeah?
What do you think of that? The quarterbacks supposed to be like a top five pick? Did you watch football this year?
What's that?
Southern college football is different?
Bro?
Like, y'all treat that ship like it's fucking like religion.
Bro. I mean l s U is in my hood.
So I'm just like, isn't it really like religion type level dedication? Like when it comes to like the ls US of the world and the Auburns and the Alabama like these like, man, y'all are crazy.
Bron Yeah, it's I don't know, it's different.
And then it's so funny to me because I always see these videos like Southern college football fans that are obviously racist and unless it's Saturday, yeah, and then they got a root for the black players. Like I'm tripping right now a lot of except what's up? Man, Run Bama Run? That's like what else? What else do you do? These days? Just like like extra, like if are you watching TV? Playing video? Games. What are you doing in your spare time?
Video games that have been my like just ease my mind type of time. I'm playing a lot of MLB.
Really the show.
Yeah, I haven't played the show, and like I love playing GTA and stuff, but it's played a computer. I had to get a new computer.
Oh you're on the computer. You're in the PC.
Yeah, RP. Are you just the role playing in Grizzly World.
Oh you're in Grizzly World.
Yeah, well I haven't been in like three months. I'm about to get back in.
For people who don't know.
T Grizzly has a the biggest server fi and if you're in the game, you have to it's like acting. You can't be. You can't be.
You can't break character. So if you broke character in Grizzly World, what happens?
I think you're like want to get suspended?
Do they shoot you? No?
If you break credit, you just like like kick you out.
So what's your character in Grizzly World?
I got too. I got one that's my name you like adult and stuff like that in the streets, and then I got another one called like Officer Bru stupid cop. You're just fucking with people, officer brus stupid, so you just pull it over it like do you have an accent?
Like, what's the bru stupid accent?
Give it to me a littleser, I got the drugs that you want you pull you do?
They know it to you?
Some people know that, like the fans that watched my.
Twitch your twitching hard I was.
I slowed down all that.
Were getting money off of that.
I ain't never really seen those crazy. Most of us seemed like two thousand dollars. So I just really be doing it for fun.
For fun. That's so funny when you do something like that, is to make you realize, like damn, I could fucking act for real, you know what I'm saying, Like if I really needed to, I could play. I could play.
Because once like because I bust out laughed and I had to mute my mic and just bust.
Oh for sure, I couldn't do it, bro because I see some of the like T. Grizzley, like they'll be doing this like serious drug deal and ship and the way they been talking to each other. I'm like, this ship is man. I've only played the story mode on Grand Theft. I've never played online. It's fun story mode. I beat that ship like ten years ago. You know what I'm saying. I can't wait for the new one. Six is coming soon. So right now you're on MLB. Yeah, O Tahani the.
Asian man, No, he ain't know my ain't know my team, but.
He's a Dodger now.
Yeah, I was hoping he came to Miami.
Yeah, that shot to the Marlins. I don't know if they're good or not. I don't really know.
They got a nice squad, but my team ned pitch and roster a little bit from.
Arizona, so made it to the World Series, which made me care about baseball for about two weeks. You know, I don't give a fuck about baseball? Are you? Are you but that your It's not your favorite sport?
Is it?
Is it?
Baseball's I played?
Oh you played? What'd you play?
Shortstop?
Shortstop? Just you gotta be on it? Yeah? Were you? Like? How far did you go? I had high school?
I could have I could have do it something in college, but a whole different.
Why do you think there aren't more? I feel like the best baseball players come from everywhere else but here, Like I feel like there's not a lot of like like when we think of like high school basketball, high school football it second thing. But I feel like baseball, for whatever reason, it's a lot harder to get the use involved.
Why do you think that is? Like what got you into it? Like when I was little some friends? Yeah, but baseball is real more. It's a lot more mental and you gotta really be revealed, like it's you gotta be super dedicated to be good at it, right, you know what I'm saying. Uh, And it's a sport where okay, like football, if you run to play, okay, the catcher gotta get to you. I mean the quarterback, the center gotta get the ball. The quarterback you got help to
win a game. Baseball, when you go up there, that ball come to you. You gotta catch and throw that motherfu. You feel me, You go up the back, you gotta hit the ball or not hit the ball, you feel me.
So that's what everybody says about golf, Like golf is like golf.
Is fucking born.
See I never play.
I couldn't do it.
I've only played the top golf in Vegas where you hit the ball and ship. But my homies are in the golf and they're like, it's like you versus yourself. It's all it is. You're you're against the course. Who cares if you're playing somebody Like it's really the whole game is just it's like mental like mhmm forty two. They could keep golf. It's definitely boring. That's crazy Baseball. Huh, so is your your team is the Marlins?
I fold the walls, plodding on the walls. I wouldn't say nobody else is my favorite because I'm more of a like I'm a fan of a person, Like, so, who's your favorite player? Man Mirror is my favorite man for him?
You know, Manny was a beast on the Red Sox, so you were fucking with the Red Sox then and then we went to the to the Dodgers. Yeah, so right now it's like Oani's the guy. Yeah, it's crazy because he I feel like he's been the only person since like Babe Ruth has been good as good at hitting as he is his pitching, because back in the day, Babe Ruth was a picture on the the Red Sox before he went to the Yankees.
Yeah, uh Cci Sabbatha was a good hitter too.
I don't remember shout out to C. C. I remember, I don't know he was hitting though I didn't know he was hitting.
Yeah, see, I don't think he ain't get as many as.
Bay are legend right there CEC Sabathia shout out to him is a different and he got paid smart. He kicked off because you know, in LA the taxes suck, so he's only getting paid two million dollars a year. And then after his deal's over is when all the real money kicks in and he'll be fucking hill left l A by then at tax money and Cali's you were doing the right thing. Florida's where it's at no state tax. You could carry a gun. You know what
I'm saying. You could do whatever. You go to strip club at six in the morning, get some chicken wings.
All probably just ain't have enough.
Yeah, what is you have a favorite Miami strip club?
You like?
I've been to most of them. Boo Booby traps. Cool, it's just the.
I'm just not a club.
Just a lot going on there.
I like. I like that, a lot going on in Miami. Pod.
I like Tuttis though, so this is Tutis is just chill. You can go sit off in the cut and have a lobster tail and not be bothered. So you get up on that second floor, got.
The kid and run around the parking lot harassing and ship. Yeah.
Booby trapped a wild place. Yeah, booby traps fun.
I'm just not a club person. I just I readther be in the hollow playing video games.
And THATSS you're getting paid to be there.
Yeah. Anime?
What's your favorite anime?
My all time favorite any Yasha. But I've been licked in to uh Black Clover, I've been liked in my hero Academia. I've been locked into uh the new Bleach Bleach.
Yeah, I've heard of that. My son. I just bought my son the sword from one Piece. I bought my sword from I'll tell you right now because I texted it. What's your favorite enemey I brought him. I spent like to on Christmas. I brought him this fucking sword from this fucking anime sword.
Yeah.
It's a attack on Titan.
Ah tack on something. It was good.
I can't stay and it was since his favorite character is Amon and my top anime is Dragonball and Uto and attack on Titan dragon.
Ball one of my tops. So they're just don't be consistent.
Almore, isn't there like thirty seasons? How do you like? You know what is is?
You gotta think all the episodes will be stressed to like like one fight will be eight episodes to.
See how any of that?
You know?
What is an anime? People don't give credit for it being an anime? Is The Boondocks.
It's not an anime.
It is It's not it is it's not see that's it is an anime.
I mean, if you go off the anime definition, it's not.
What does that mean?
It's like Chinese animation.
It's Japanese.
I think, No, it's not.
Is it Chinese? Boon Dogs was made by Aaron McGregor, But it's it's it was made very You've never seen the fights in the Boondocks.
That's not anime.
It's an anime. Bro the Boon Docks is an anime, just like Afro Salm Samurai is an anime.
I gonna say, just feel like his anime.
Yeah, first of all, the guy who created his name is Aaron McGregor. You like you like the Boon Dogs?
I love The Boon Dogs. All seasons on DVD me too.
Season three was that was when the writers left.
I love all of them.
Season one and two, though, I don't think it gets better. I got a radio drop from Uncle Ruckas. Yeah, the voice actor was doing drops. Yeah, like ten years ago. I got it. Shot to Uncle Ruckas. Okay, is it safe to say? Would you say? The closest thing to like a real life Uncle Ruckus we've seen is Charleston White. I'm not sure it's close, right. He said some crazy shit about his own people, and I'm just like, that's very I was a little Uncle ructcy. He might be right.
He got he said, he got the honest nobody does. He does have the I didn't even you know what, I wasn't even thinking about that. Well. I think he really be just doing that for the social media.
I don't know what was he nice? I mean, listen, I've seen a lot of his content that I think is hilarious, and I've seen a lot of his content that I think is extremely.
When I'm middle, I just told Hi about like, I don't agree with what you be saying, but you say what you want say?
You know, right, is there anybody uh for you that you know you you've obviously been on the other side of being a hot new artist. Who's Who's somebody, Who's who's come out the last year or two that you're just a fan of. Doesn't he gotta be somebody you know? Or there's been some dope ship coming out lately, like Big Extra Plug is Holly, He's hard bro. That Mexicano Tea.
We have some lights beats. Yeah, mexican O teeth for sure. We got I got two tracks.
Willow Tea, Oh Fire. We went hog hunting him and I in Texas. Yeah, we were. We were in a helicopter and the guy lowered the helicopter. We put the guns out of the helicopter. Just fucking mowing down pigs.
That's fun.
It's on YouTube for Yeah, this ship is so much fun.
Why you see that? Must not be on your channel.
It's doing really well now it's almost a million views. It's on my channel.
It up.
It's fun. If you ever go to Texas.
I always wanted to do it, but I don't know if I can.
You can. I'm an animal lover, I'm saying because I'm a feeling well, they didn't ask me any questions. It's Texas bro.
But if I had the signs of paperwork. I can't if you to sell you that, you know, the felling that's a filler.
Hey, we didn't have to sign in right now. We just got straight straight to it. Just hopped in the helicopter they handed we was mowing down the yet.
Yeah.
Just gun safety. Yeah, yeah, it's fun. Just don't film it. Don't put some pictures. I mean, you know, I don't. It's Texas. I don't think in Texas. I feel like they don't give a fuck. Everybody got a gun with the fist though they don't give a fuck. This is true.
They're trying to everyd with air.
So you can't even vote. That sucks.
I don't really get into all that. Yeah, I don't really kill vote. It's president.
I always tell everybody this, man, if if who's the president has to do with how successful or happy you are in life. You got the whole game fucked up, because I'm gonna get it no matter.
What the saying is. If I can't do nothing to change, I don't give exactly.
It's like you can only control.
Man. Wake your fat ass up.
Man, he's a snore. You've been sleep for a minute. But the stores kicked. Did you're sorry? That sounded like your officer voice? That sounded like what's his name? Officer?
What officer? Bro?
Stupid stupid bro? You should do a fucking skit. Would you ever like try to do TV?
Like?
I want to do a cartoon that should be great.
Can't find about it? Let me do it?
You want to like?
Do you want to like write it? And then I want to do a voice Oh, you'll find somebody can't find. All you gotta do is in LA.
You got to get an agent on the actor side and they'll try to pitch you for a voiceovers. I don't know no so agents. I don't know any agents on the acting side. I'm like the most I mean for living in LA, I don't know much on the Yeah.
It's just as me doing a Disney movie.
How to be Fire. You wouldn't You wouldn't even have to like, uh you, I wouldn't tell anybody like yo, it's fraid o bang, just like your government name. Here's some of my examples, maybe a couple of GTA clips. So you playing officer fucking whatever the fuck? And I think I think it's possible. Man, how fucking helped you out? Fucking yeah.
Yeah.
Well listen, man, the album's coming out when because I just saw you put the pre order up. You book a pre order and try to unlock the artwork the nineteenth nineteenth? How many songs?
I think like fifteen, but I'm gonna I'm coming right back on like two weeks. Really yea deluxe or a whole new album deluxe?
How many extra songs?
That's six seven? I'm still aside right now.
Shout out to that hey man, you get Hey. I got a feeling were gonna get another album for the end of the year from you too. I mean's fucking January.
I'm trying to get out three to three Okay.
Last question, give me your If you're on it, who are the other three artists on the Baton roush hip Hop Mount Rushmore? If it's freight Bang and you you can exclude yourself if you want, but I'll leave that up to you.
I think I think I'm gonna put another word game and be on though.
Okay, so Fredo's on it, there's three three more spots on Mount Rushmore. It's four people. Yes, Oh of course, your cousin and Webb.
That's three, you said, Ben rude, little fat okay mm hm m hm.
And dude and dude, I wouldn't visited dude.
I'm a.
He's a nice guy. And I also wanted to commend you guys for the unity and the community thing. Was that about a year ago? Mm hmm about a year and some change ago, which was a big deal. I was trying not to I was trying to be the first interview ever where the dude wasn't brought up that you've done any still technical ags and brought up because he's just dude.
Yeah, but I thought listen because I I really you know, I really hate when people bring him up because I feel like it be unfair because I feel like when y'all not and I'm not saying this is no type of negative way. I'm just I feel like when they when people get even with Gelling though, Like that's why I said, I'm not just saying that negative because I
fuck with y'all. You know. I feels personally when people interview him, they don't be wanting to fuck up the chance of the interview and stuff, so they don't bring me up to him, and I feel like it's kind of like, you.
Know what my approach with that interview was I felt like I have had zero relationship with him.
I understand, but I just said, it's unfair my call for me, because it'd be making me look like I'm always talking about him, for sure. I know it's just I know it ain't well.
I think you're and I think both of you guys are like so mentally mature past whenever you guys had whatever y'all had that, you know, That's why that when I saw you guys did the community event with his team and your and your team, I just thought that was a big deal. But you know, my approach to that whole situation was like, I don't want to do more of what is expected, and that would be bringing up I didn't understand.
And then they probably.
I didn't even see. It's a credit to him. It was just him and I talking right and and and and you know, uh, I just I knew. My approach with that was like most people probably talk to him like he's an alien, but he's just a dude. You know what I'm saying. He's got kids, like I got kids, like you got kids, Like let's just shoot the ship. And I you know, I didn't want to get into too much of that because I don't have a previous relationship with him.
It's cool though, because I understand y'all got a job, and you know what I'm saying. It's just be to the fans and make it look like I'm always speaking him because when they somebody when the blows, cut something up and be me talking. You know what I'm saying, Well, you're past it, man. I'm an over books, so people can get that out of right. You feel you'll past it man. Twenty twenty four, New Ship, New money, Finally,
new music, finally, Finally. January nineteenth, the new album is out Yes I'm Sad, which I think is a great as hey man, look so far, it's been a good year for music because this is new twenty one Savage. I want to hear before it drops. Have you heard the new twenty one Savage album to drop yesterday? Far Fire? He always got some good production.
Oh my god, his beats, man, I look forward to hearing your album. Everybody should go.
Drake the best with grabbing a concept.
And Ross Ross got the best beats. It's Ross twenty one, Drake h Ross and Ross's ears for beats.
It's crazy production was good, but as far as the total package, twenty one and Drake always know how to get a subject, wrap a theme around it and the liver like that ship, the American Dream and that. Well.
Listen, your album's coming out on the nineteenth. Everybody go support it. If you pre order, you get the full artwork, right Uh. Kevin Gates is on it, Rob four nine.
