with Earth Game. What's what's us? Propa? Y'all? Uh? I just want to shout y'all out, man, because I feel like I was just telling you before the interview started like this record with wild A, I feel like it's you know, you guys have put out amazing records before. I'm I'm a real fan of what y'all do. But like when I heard this song, I was like, Interscope got a real like radio record to work, Like this could be like a real hit record for y'all. Appreciate that, man, Yeah, man,
you know, it's just it's just one of those records. Well, we like to always give the people something that they can you know what I'm saying, live with you know what I'm saying, Like outside the homes, outside the headphones, you know what I'm saying, Like we just want to just create music where people could like move around and do life to you know, even in the pandemic when everybody inside and stuff. But it's like, you know, we need that energy. You know, everybody don't need to be
sitting down the whole time. And shit, no, for sure, I think like also, you guys, and you know you mentioned the pandemic, like, thank you for you know, the contributions to the spillage really jolbum because yeah, thank you bro. Yeah that was much needed last year. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, it was a good vibe. Man, it was good time
to make it to time. Yeah, you know for people who don't kind of know, I kind of look at you guys as like the kind of like the closest thing to what we have to Dungeon Family in twenty twenty, twenty twenty one, you know, and I know you guys have been rocking for a long time. A lot of people think that that's like the first project, but you
guys have other projects. Projects. Yeah, yeah, like this is yeah, like Mariva's Fire obviously, you know j I D. Black kind of you know, I spoke with g I D a bit about kind of his roots with Spillage Village and like his early roots with Mariva and Black. But how did you guys all form the collective? Like like initially, because like I said, it's got an energy that is very reminiscent of you know, some of the nineties hip hop collectives, you know, like some native tongue shit, you
know what I mean. Initially it was just Us Jid and and well initially just Us Jid and Hollywood JB. Like initially because we all went to school together and then once we all got out of school came back to Atlanta, we didn't really know what to do with ourselves much other than keep hanging out, you know what I'm saying, keep hanging out and making music. So then we looked up with Mariva, who we met while we was in school, and she was still living here. She
started coming over more naturally. It's like Black, you know what I'm saying. Hollywood Jab brought his brother Jordan, and then Christo who is Ji's producer and DJ bro his brother Benji. It was all just like we naturally just hanging out together all the time anyway, just making music all the time anyway. And then it was like, well, we're gonna what do we call this? It's like a village bros. Like, and then we keep called you the spillage village because the ideas just kept coming out. That's
all we ever did. We got together. Yeah, it's crazy too because I don't think like people really you know, Black kind of had a meteoric rise in the last three or four years, you know, and I don't think people really kind of understand like his roots in and ship, you know what I'm saying, and even just like his talent as like an MC, you know what I mean, Like he could rap his het up. Yeah, Like was
that something like? Because I remember when his ship started to kind of initially take off on SoundCloud and there was like a lot of mystery behind it. But you guys, being around him early on, did you guys kind of always feel like like he was a star. It was just a matter of time. He was just super focused, you know what I'm saying. When I first we first met Black, I remember him talking about like deals he got in and out of in high school. All like
bro in high school. We definitely wasn't talking about no deals. Wow, you know what I'm saying, Like, you know what I'm saying, he just had he had a different exposure to the game that we could that we all learned from. You know what I'm saying. I think part of his main speeld is so great was the longest time we all have learned stuff from each other. You know what I'm saying. We've all like taken little like humorous stuff from Jid or like you know what I'm saying, something like vocal
cues that all lose, We've all learned it. I remember I learned from Black. Black used to he first was doing his melodies. He would have the mic super turned up, super high and be saying him very softly. So he would be sleeping in the living room and wake up in the middle of the night or make him in the middle of the day and just be recording. I'd be like, what he doing over there? I didn't know he was actually making stuff. And then he'll play it
and be like, Okay, Wow, that's a cool technique. So he was always like picking up on each other techniques, Like the whole time he was like all living in the same house. That's an interesting recording technique. It's almost like you could kind of be like off off in the corner logo. That's what he's just turning up your levels like crazy, you have everything turned up on his end,
and he was just being there wow. And then by the time he would play it for us, like he was like, yo, you just did that, Like while he's over here, like you guys, yeah, playing mad or whatever. We didn't even hear him doing that. We love that. He was like that's fine, Yeah, that's that's crazy, man. I do think like that. One of my favorite moments of last year was your Guys Tiny Desk Show. I thought that was like, yeah, I thought that was fucking special,
especially like like A mile away. Oh really okay, yeah, man, that was I feel like those tiny desk shows are so important and when they're done right, they're like game changers because I think it really kind of shows like you. It's almost like it takes out any theatrics. It's like you and you got to be dope or you ain't dope, you know what I mean. Colors did that for us too. I remember the Colors you guys did a couple years ago.
Yeap when before him live it usually works with yeah, I was telling him I met you guys originally in Tampa. I don't remember what show it was, but it was before you guys were officially signed to Dreamville. I don't remember who who old did you guys open for? I think it was probably did you you guys never opened for Wale? Okay, okay, because I remember going to a
wal a show, but yeah, it was. I remember meeting you guys like at the merch table, and you guys were so like and at that time, I think I had really just kind of heard your guys ship off like two dope boys and like all the blog ship and and I really hadn't even like dived in like like all the way yet. But you guys have put together like a really dope run over the last like
five or six years, just quality music. And with this new record with Wila, I feel like it's kind of like the icing on the cake, you know what I'm saying, Like, like everything has worked to this point. You guys are known obviously, you guys have you know, a very hardcore fan base, but like I feel like now it's time for like the world to get let in on Earth Game, you know what I mean? Yeah, for sure, for sure,
we put in that groundwork. And even like even with just the wil A record or the Grammy nominations and like you know what I'm saying, the accolades and they're getting seen like recognized doing shows over in duc and stuff. It's like we put in all this groundwork over the past few years, you know what I'm saying. To what, like we had a fan base that made these moments possible,
you know what I'm saying. Like it's not no industry playing type stuff, not, you know what I'm saying, These automatically open the doors for these guys, Like they prove they worth you know, yeah, you guys got it from the mud Man and it's you know, it's crazy too. Did you do you guys ever feel like with your name Earth Gang, like you guys had to win people people over a bit because I felt like when I heard the name Earth Gang, I was like I was kind of like a bit like, oh, what is this? Yeah?
Is this something like like the are they rapping about recycling or some ship? Like you know how many times people said that in the beginning, But that was like a very common joke. It was now now, which we played on it more back then, but we we do. We do obviously care about an environment, but that wasn't like the focus name, you know what I'm saying, But that that's dope to see, Like how many like how at first that was like the thing like what is
their game? Now? Like you go to shows and you don't care, Yeah, they won't they say they are Earth Gang, you know what I'm saying. Like now the fans are like everybody we go, people own it for themselves, like I'm Earth Gang too, I'm Earth Gang to you know what I mean. The name of the group is we're all on Earth facts. So Mirrorland came out was dope, you guys, just like official debut album. This Spillage Village project was real special. Now we got the waal a single,
I'm assuming that. Well, first of all, how close are you guys done with this album? And and like like you know, how many songs are we looking at? We're pretty close. We're not one hundred percent finished, but we're pretty close. And I say, give a tap, like maybe like round twelve or something. That's a nice that's a nice number. Yeah, And and then you know, obviously you got lay on the project. Yeah, young club on the last project. I mean, you know, is there gonna be
any dream Bill brethren on this album? We we we we. It's in't the worst, Like it's just a lot of records were still polishing. That's what I'm saying. We see, we see who feels where we got to get the meat of the project done. Was definitely done, you know what I'm saying, Like the buck of the buck of the ideas done. The concept is beautiful, really excited. What we gotta we gotta figure out whe everybody else is
gonna go. Like casting wise, who was first to sign with Dreamville was it and I don't call him Jid because I called him Jid in person once and he was like, I don't know you like that, you gotta call it, But like, was it you guys? Are was a j I d first the same time? Okay when uh when when Cold Cold met us in person at the eppisode tour is at the New York date and uh we we actually were opening for for Soul and Jim Jeed at the time was he was my roommate.
So I didn't want you know what I'm saying. We first got the offer from APPS so to go on tour. He was my roommate. That's like my boy and my brother. We made Hello songs together. I didn't want to do just earth Gang going into it without him and just leave him there. So he was like, hey, bro, come on tour with us. He so he we we split our set with him just some somethingdy bro, some brother ship. Bro. We're not gonna we finished you, you you know what I'm saying.
We all without even like clearing it with the APPS. So like we got the homie coming, we put up with him and he was like, no, bro, we're gonna split this s like we're gonna get this shine. You're gonna get the shine. He did, and uh when when Cole met us, he was like, that was cool. Man, who's the other dude? Yo? That's all better did So he was like, man, all y'all coming, And so we all would literally pile up in the car together because
I said it was roommates. So we get up in the car together and drive out in North Carolina together and we just all spend time with cold. He was like, man, so what's your situations looking like? And he was like, we ain't got no So he just sign us all around the same time. It just so happened. We had had never Storied already almost as soon as he got signed, so he was ready. Yeah, he put that out and
then we put out the EPs and then our album. Yo. It's crazy because like, I feel like Cole has been so careful about who he brings on to the team, and there's so much artistic integrity on that roster, and you know, I feel like col could sign anybody like he could probably this point, you know, he literally go out and probably signed you know, any of the bubbling up and coming rappers like, but I feel like he cares so much about that the brand of Dreamville and
like just the integrity the music that comes out of that.
You know what I'm saying, Like he won't make he won't make foreign cars, man, he won't make exciting right and like some exotics would like you know that that we ain't cranking out right right right right talk about you know obviously, you know, you guys got the Grammy nomination for Revenge of the Dreamers three, which was, uh, you know, I told Ebe this, like, you know, the fact that he was able to craft such an amazing, amazingly sequenced body of work because he was you know,
E was was was like letting me know about kind of how many songs he had to choose from, and then just the way they they flowed, and it was like it felt like I know, and I know all the sessions were scattered, but it really felt like everybody was kicking it in the studio together and y'all made like a cohesive body of work. Share with me some of your favorite moments about those sessions, because you know,
we hear about how legendary they were. Everybody was getting flown out, Like, you know, I just always think back to how special of a moment that was to have the baby on that record with Cole Like you know what I mean. So yeah, yeah, talk about those sessions for Revenge of the Dreamers three and like some some memories you have from him. I mean, it really was just the camaraderie, you know what I'm saying, Like the creativity and the camaraderie all in one space from like
people all across the industry. People you just you know what I'm saying. You ain't never met them, but you see them shining and stuff, and it's like when y'all get into the same place, it's just love, you know what I'm saying. Like it ain't really like how many followers you got, Oh you ain't got that many. You can't be on this song type of energy, you know what I'm saying. So like that that we ain't let that block the creativity and the energy that was going
through the room and through the buildings. So to me, that's like my favorite aspect that it was cool when some legends pulled to like Ross pulled up. They can't pulled up like some people that wasn't even on the project. They were just legendary people that was in Atlanta at the time, and they go through the like to be a part of station. I feel like the greater part of the of the Bucks. Rosster pulled up like the Milwaukee Bucks. They was in town. Yeah, yeah, pulled up
for the you know who pulled up? Surprise the hell out of me. Uh, what's brand name? Used to play for Miami and he play He's from Canada? Uh, Miami from Canada. I don't know. I can't think of his name right now, but he used to play. He's super tall. Bro. He's part of Lebron's championship down there center. Bro. What's bro name? Bro? I'm trigger right now. That's because I'm high. Canadian player used to be right next to me Brook the Miami heat roster. Oh, he's talking about twenty fifteen
Miami heat rusher. He's talking about Chris Okay. Yeah, I didn't want to say from Canada. Yeah, I was about to say he played in Toronto. I said that that's not That's not what what I mean. Chris Bosh was there. Yeah, Chris Bosh, And I'm talking about Chris Bosh in the room. He in the small room, the smallest of the studio rooms to too too. He was in there, it's already like it's crowded. When one nigga walk in there, it's probably like it's probably like five six niggas in there.
And he's a he's like seven feet tall, seven feet tall. He's sitting in the corner, folded up with his laptop and his lap making beats. Chris Bosh was making beats and making bees. Bro I'm going on there and I'm like I've seen him at first, but he in the corner so touched off like like behind some Like I'm like,
I didn't eve really see him. When the do you don't even see hi because he touched off, And I'm like, yo, I'm looking like this, like this nigga actually is a huge person, and like what it was Chris Boshing like like yo, this nigga Like yeah, you know, I'll be cooking up whatever. He didn't make it. Anybody was just coming just to feel that vibe, just the tivity in the room. You know what's crazy is uh? But well, first of all, how was how was Chris Bosh's beats?
I feel like it was pretty much. I feel like I feel like I feel like I was pleasantly surprised, Like I feel like I gave him one of these like fire. Yeah, and then Gianni's being there. I didn't even know, Like Janice was like hip He's from Greece, so I don't know, you know, the whole team pulled, you know what the locker room now playing pool with George Hill and Ship GEORGIAI yeah, pool player, you did you did you? I took that. I ain't playing, not
George Hill, you know what I'm saying. But now like he played it, damn good. Yeah, And I feel like I feel like because of being with Cold is so many niggas in the league just respect Cold of course, and plus and plus like he could low keep making NBA roster. Yeah, I hear like he's like he's he's always training with that. What what's the dude? The trader in New York could be training all the NBA players, but Cod he'd be running it. And then his first
couple of projects was like basketball. He had a basketball warm up, So like that's definitely all part of the vibe. Yeah, the Dennis Smith Junior pull up, I know's he's real close with Cold. He's pulled up to the house of a bunch of times. Aleast be watching black mirror with him black man. That's how have you guys obviously besides working your asses off, like you know, just being at home and ship, how have you guys deal like that?
I mean, Atlanta's wide open, but you know how you guys kind of dealt with just like just the way the world has kind of changed in the last nine months. I mean it's helped me focused a whole lot more. Yeah, me too. Man, thought I was focus is back then, but like it's like real focus here. You know what I'm saying. I appreciate it. Man. Of course you want to go out and have fun and like do shit, but like you got to take your health, you have to take your family health. But like in the meantime,
get you some more money. Yeah, I think that for me, Like like you said, I feel like my focus became like like like lasered in. You know. It's like people kind of took this thing two different ways. I feel like a lot of people kind of use that as an excuse to to be hella lazy or I have
gotten fat during the pandemic that being said happens. I feel like it just kind of focused my hustle and and it just kind of makes you rethink everything, you know what I mean, like every like like you know important, Yeah, what's really important? Man? And then you know it obviously kind of just reinstills your bond with your family, you know you especially I'm out in La so I'm around my kids a lot more. And yeah, you guys got kids.
I got a son. How would your son? Three? Oh? Yeah, that's you know they call terrible two's, but it's really terrible threes. Man, three olds are fucking turned up. Bruce Lee today that I was like bothing pressly and a little like what what's happening? Like trying to kick through a glass door? Like, bro, you don't even realize what that would do if you actually had the strength. Crazy you guys, You guys are both vegan, correct now? Vegan, pescantary, pescataria.
I watched the interview you guys with my homegol Ashley. Where you guys are? She said, you guys are vegan? I don't think that's true. We probably ate some vegan food. You guys are pesctary? Are you you're pescatarian or you pesctaring that? I mean I respect that, hey, man, Like when I'm out of the country. I eat some meat, you know, I know his raised right here right out here.
It's up. It's pick slime and this whatever whatever is crazy. Whatever. Yo, if you watch the video of like like any videos of like how they make hamburger meat, it'll make you like, I never want to eat in America. But like five years easily easily. Have you'all ever seen a video how to make chicken nuggets? Nah, look at that, it's all in it don't it's don't fuck you up. They just put everything in and just grind it, ground it up. They basically take so they get a bunch of baby chicks,
flip them like this. If you're female, you go somewhere to go start making eggs. They raise you up, fan you up. If you mail, they put them in like this huge bend and turn the blender on alive chicks, baby chicks. Bro, And that's chicken nuggets. Then whatever sh And I don't know if that's everybody's chicken nuggas, but that's at least some of it comes out to be some nugget streak. Damn. Yeah, I couldn't give up that, I think if I had, if I could ever get
to that point, I could. I could never give up fish though, fish, sushi, lobsters, crab, I mean, you know those are the So do you guys have an album title for the album? At? Can you share it? Is it already out there? Okay, it's coming though, it's coming any idea like when the album's gonna come out for the summer? All right? So okay, so sometime in the next summer time, all right, get high with more something like that. So you guys are such close friends with Jed?
Can you kind is there? What's what's going on with him? Like? Are this week? Oh ship, there we go? He makes me right now? Okay, yeah, we need that. You know, the whole crew is active, super active. I appreciate that, and I'm curious to being from Atlanta playing. Yeah, I was about to say was I was? I was about to say, like, I feel like I would have heard about that. I was just like and I was like, well, is this like, was he supposed to say that? What I heard the album is super Fight? I was over
in the house like before we left. He's an alien bro, like a real life like he's like one of them ones that's like you know, a Jedi with with with with rapping bro app in his fucking asshole man like I wanted to so for the first This is my first time at Atlanta, and I had to go to Magic City to try the hot wings and I was I was extremely disappointed. Really the wings were not you supposed to get the limon pepper. Of course that's what I got, though I got living pepper. Waspping he said
blue flame is way better. One thing, the flame better number one, number two. When I hear people getting mad at City food, I don't really hear him. Get the wings so much. I didn't get like everything else on the menu before. I got fried lobster tail. That was fire. That was that was smacking. But the wings were just if you want wings in Atlanta, you gotta hit the little corner spots. Bro, you gotta hit you like a little hoods. But you ever been to DC, you know
they have you have like the little carry out. You had the best chicken, the best mumbo sauce. It's the same things here. Ex said, we got like realize hot wings. Yeah. I was gonna say, you guys don't strike me as like the biggest strip club connoisseurs. But that's what you tripped to I'm tripping because I'm so Atlanta. Bro. Okay, so what's what's what is like the top three? What you right now right now? For for booty? Let's start with Booty and then we'll go food. Lord a little
my favorite pretty Face, Magic City and Blue Flying. Okay, a Lord, I've heard the Lord. Someone told me strokers strokers out out East. Yeah, Jared Benton is a sick fucking took me to the Claremont Lounge. It's not that's not what it is, and it was it's been gentrified like that hotel both about you know, he did it on purpose. He was like, Yo, I'm gonna take you to the spot. Is fucking crazy, bro, He's like, dude, the sold He's like, he's like, just come with me
for twenty minutes. And because senior citizen dancers. That's crazy. That's that's why. You know, Lord lawyd got like the best looking girls you want to see? Like, okay, what about food, strictly food real cheatah someone someone told me the cheatah like like chea like this food, but it's kind of like I heard that the the strip club side of its whack like but it's not. It's a Gentleman's Club dancing the nickelback. Yeah, you like, of course and the girls are like just slowly like they got
good lamb a lot of rock music. I love rock music. I don't like. I don't want to see women don't. No, that's not what I can you take me. It is one random strict club and like Ipsilanti, Michigan, and it was kind of like that. We'll be going to Audill be On. I probably can make a little encyclopedia stript club. Nice, I'm gonna put you on. There's one in Phoenix called Jaguars thatires. Yeah, it's they got heard that pass I passed by when I was in Fensi the last it's huge, huge, yeah, huge.
I've been I mean now that in Atlanta. You know. I've been to Miami. I've been over It's it's clothing because I ain't I ain't gonna hold you this. I've been to some in Houston, uh and Dallas, buttle buy, North Carolina. I haven't done North Carolina, North Carolina, North Carolina. You gotta do d C. And you gotta do Miami. No, Miami Toutsies is my favorite is like born Oh, I say wait when the water broke. That's not when the water broke, that's what out of that to the strip
club here throw this. I was booking a flight to get back to Atlanta. Strict Club came in busted in the hospital. Covid Glitter also has great food. They got great lobster with the seafood rice man. Yeah, definitely, yeah, yeah, I heard that the lamb chops at the Cheetah are are where it's at. I gotta che has got like like a really good cooking staff apparently, ship like really good like being like the women is just I'm benest that,
like right right, right right. I'm curious how hot like you the obvious Like I think when people see you guys, the immediate comparison you guys have gotten is outcast this whole like, since you guys have come out right, I think sonically there's some fair points to that, But I also feel, like, you know, I feel like you guys are influenced by so much more than cast. I think it was dope because I remember go ahead, of course.
I mean, of course, man, I went to stink on you the outcast of my favorite group ever, Andre, my top three ever, Like when I went to Stink on You, and I was I was like, I was my twelve year old self would have seen me at the Outcast studio with all the plaques and then the artwork of like the naked girls from the CDs and ship like it was amazing. But like I'm I know, I told that, man, you can't even have artwork in the CD. Do you remember how fire their CDs? CD work you see, the
art work used to be crazy. But I don't think anyone's ever had better CDs than Outcasts. They always had the naked girls on everywhere at a the at Aliens one was the best. The Stink on Your one with Crazy now at she was fine, that whole image, but the one was cast album musically, see a lot of people don't like this, but I say my favorite album by them is Think on You, just because I like some I like the hits, but I also like some of the experiments and stuff Gaoline dreams, I love politicians.
You don't talk about that song the Stink Love beautiful like them? Yeah, but also I mean, I don't know if that would be considered the best. I think that that you guys, just like everyone has. Womini was like it's also like Women There at Aliens was the first one I ever heard. That was the first one that I ever really bought, and then I went back and bought the other ones. You know what I'm saying. It was still honestly on ATL My dad bought AT and I remember when he let me hold it. I was
probably it had to be. I mean when when came out, he was in field great so whatever year it was, I was like a super little I'm thirty three, howld are you guys okay? So we're kind of you know. I remember like as a kid, like when I when my I had have been like a big homie my apartment complex who had at Aliens? And like when I saw the CD, I was like, oh shit, is a naked girl? I remember still in my dad's and like just having it in my room or some like playing
the music. Did you're doing something real wrong? The C Like I don't know what to do, but I just really loved it was still and then my mom came find it. She was like, what is this? I like his dad CD? Which it was, man, yo, I heard I heard you guys. You know, you guys have a
lot of respect for Snoop Dogg too. You know. I just had a conversation with a beat out from rap Radar and we were kind of we're doing like a year end rap up for twenty twenty, and I was we were talking about who's the who's been the biggest rappers ever at their peak? And I said, it's just at their peak. I'm not saying like over the span of their career, but just like you know, their peak. I think it's Snoop and Fitfty. Fifty is gonna be.
I just think it's fifty and Snoop. I don't know if I don't know if I mean, I mean what kind of no but I mean like out Cast had a run and obviously you know if you think, but if you think a peak Outcast, it was Love Below and speaker Box, it was amazing. I don't know, but I don't disagree with you. Of course, the one best album of the year, the grammar is Diamond. But they were kind of like it was two separate albums, like their peak was kind of like Andre solo album and
then speaker Box that had some ship. But it was like to me, like I'm talking about like first like Yo, Snoop Dogg was on Vibe. He had the murder case like he just came off the chronic Doggi style, like right there. Because fifty but okay album with the speak love below, even if you counted as one thing, it still was more about the music and about the art than anything else, which is a great way to peak, right, But it's about them, their characters story, like fifty just
got shot down times. I remember telling me that in school, I was a little ky, like what happened to this nigga? Right times? The Lord the movie and he had a fucking video game that was Fire on Xbox. That's what I'm saying. But bunh, Yeah, it's to me it's ether fifty or Snoop. But but yeah, I think it's I think it's probably like if you were if I've had it, if you put a gun in my head, I would probably say fifty. I mean, you say to see m possibly,
but you know they are impossible to see. It's m possible. Shout out to him though impossible. Now, we talked about your guys favorite cast albums, but just in general hip hop. If you guys had to go to an island with five rap albums, I like this. I like people get specific with the you know five some you know some people will be like, you know Pink Floyd or you know five rap albums. You're on an island for a year and you can only listen to five rap albums.
I'm gonna tell you reasonable that break just because I best go with the blueprint. Okay, I need, I need that. I like, I like, I like, I like young Hold, I like, I like like this, and then I don't always speak about love below. That's one one. I like that, that's a that's I like that. Then I'm gonna go
with mis education alone. Here Education be my second one. Okay, WEP album, then I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go with I'm trying to figure out which Hot Boys album one of them Hot Boys Warfare. I think it's Girl, I think Begervilla. I don't know. I think it might be your Villa. I think it might be the one before that, the one before that. There Man Registration, just because it's super long, the longest one,
you know. Late Registration is my favorite Kanye album. I don't think it's the best Kanye album, it's my favorite. I'll give it. I take late registration. Mum, you're gonna take a grill warfare? Yeah you you got you got two more, ye, I got to more. I got a whole Lauren Kanye Me, I think you and I have the same favorite jay Z album and the same favorite Kanye album. Well, I f look like and forth of that Kanye one, but I is one of my favorites every now and then I do be on there. Of course,
that's the other one, the top one. And honestly shout out to Jesus. I think Jesus is aged. I think it's age well, I think it's aged so well man. You know the only person I heard say that I gotta listen to it now. When it first came out, I was like, I'm in myself. Remember you know that whole meme when you look like you're trying to that would me like, like everybody liked this, I'm gonna just try to keep bumping me. Not everybody liked it. It is sticking to me. Like other words, it's his most
polar polarizing album for sure. That is sprite too. Yeah, yeah, shout out the future. That's number This is too so good, bro, it is It's funny because when we when we got in Atlanta, I was just being like a typical you know, tourist. I'm like, Okay, I gotta play thirty Sprite too, and in Atlanta, you gotta play that. I play that and thug Motivation, and I was like, this is this feels right? I mean Atlanta for the first time we rented the long season two be my last one. Okay, Yeah, who
do you think? If you guys have to say who's more influential, thug or future Future Future, I'll say future just because a lot of niggs around the world try to be future. Niggas can't beat them so far, but niggas gonna try to be future. Niggas can't be future either, but they gonna try. Niggas will never try to wear dressed like that. People aren't brave enough to try to beat them. Yeah, Like the only people that have even come close come from his dojo. You know what I'm saying.
You got like he got it, Yeah, like gunning all them niggas even a little bit. They come from the world. So it's like they come close and they still do their own thing, you know what I'm saying. But it's like nobody from outside of Atlanta has tried that. People from outside of Atlanta have tried to be Future. You know what I'm saying, designer the whole thing I ain't saying, you know what I'm saying, nothing wrong with what he did,
but no, no no, but he sounded. I mean, let's be honest, a whole bunch of Future influenced, Like you can't do not influence my dog, Like say what you about you writing a song, but like you can't not influence. Yeah, and then not even in his own fault because if you talk to him like that's just his voice, that's yeah, but you can influence of like the style of everyone talked and it was Futures Record. When it first came out, it was like this new Future is crazy, but it's
not Future from New York, New York. Yeah, I think I think Future kind of kind of you know, with just making like melodies first. You know, obviously you can go back to you know, obviously Drake, you know, was
so far gone. But I feel I feel like what Future did with melodies and hip hop, it's just his His fingerprints are all over everything right now, like everybody like Roddy Rich, like post Malone like all these people who are like the biggest rappers in the world, Like you gottattribute the future, bro, and he just had more time in the game too. We want to go the future up. You just got to give it to him from seniority. This guy's got a Dungeon Family tattoo on
his forearms. Man, you got a little more time again. I remember listening to future records on like on like mistakes and like lind Wade type ship in like eighth and ninth grade, like he was called he was going to buy meat back then, you know what I'm saying. It was a song he be on like he's being like them like passically he'd be like a whole bunch of need from the hood on the song. And then he had like a verse you know what I'm saying, that ship too, and then like he like rolls out
of there. So we we've been around to see that nigga be like a lot of things, you know what I'm saying. What do you feel like the camaraderie is like in Atlanta, because you know, from an outsider perspective, from being like you know from the West Coast, you know, we always look at Atlanta as like the example of uh like networking, there's so much unity and and now mind you, I also realized that there's a lot of beef and shipped out here. But for the most part,
unity will come when more people connect. Yeah, but I feel like just in general, the perspective of Atlanta is like there is some real unity out there in Atlanta, man, you know what I'm saying, Like, as long as Atlanta win, Like you seen Gucci and Jesus Bro, Like who I was gonna do that? Name another beef on the coach, niggasin to come together and do that. Who else don't do that? You know what I'm saying. On I g
live fifty would never do that. I don't really know enough about the beef, but I know that down here, man, you know what I'm saying. But they really at the end of the day, they came together as man and was like, you know what, for the sake of Atlanta, for the sake of unity, for the sake of seeing everybody prosperably, gonna squash it Like that's Atlanta, man, keep both. We was talking about future, the influence Gucci really was father above that situation. Well, I think Gucci don't get enough.
I think he's probably the greatest godfather. He might be, yes, yes, ever, I think Gucci is probably the greatest an hip hop history on this planet for sure. Think about all the people he could have signed, Like he could have had the Migos, you know what I mean, Like all these people who could have been his artist, and they still come from his dojo, you know what I'm saying. Surest Martial arts so like that ship, that Gucci one and like that, he's just like a perfect example of what
Atlanta is. Like you gotta always be looking at for your young nigga and and pulling them in a direction to get some money for theirself, you know what I'm saying, Like not just not just trying to satisfy you know what I'm saying, It's like, look, do what I did, do what you could do, and always looking for somebody else like that? Is there a big Do you feel like there's a disconnect from like the younger generation of Atlanta hip hop and like you know, there's that clip
of of young Thug talking about Andre. Do you think there's like a like a disconnect between the older generation and then and then the generation that's coming up now. Now. I just feel like we're just so focused on paving our own way, you know what I'm saying, even like they was back then. Of course, everybody back then was like, man, hey, this this is the first time Atlanta is being all
all that. We're paving our way from from from Dungeon Family to TLC to Jermaine dupri You know what, I'm so so deaf like it was it was it was aris Arista and the Face like that was like the first major record label. So they paving their way. Come to odd generation. You know what I'm saying. You got QC, you got Slack, you got the Slim Boys, you got Gucci and everything that he doing. You know what I'm saying, Like we're paving our weight, you know what I'm saying.
So it's like I don't think it's so much a disrespect, but it's just like we just focused and we appreciate what they did. But number one, we focused and we trailblazing. You know that's facts. That's facts. Any you guys care to spill any any j CO album t You know what I mean. We're supposed to get the fall off? You got it? Do we know when it's driving. I mean the fall. He was week, okay, next week, so we got lined up. It's on, it's already uploaded, ready
to go. Just gonna just come out of nowhere just to heat. That's that's it's a link away. Have you got you know somebody who I think, uh, you know, one of my favorite artists and one of my good friends in Atlanta is Killer Mike. If you guys got a chance to link with him and uh and work with him at all, not not working on music, we definitely him a couple of times. It would be nice to music Killing That's the first I ever purchased my own money monster monsteron Wow, that's not even on Spotify.
That's crazy. I never even though I haven't even tried to listen to it since I have tried, I remember about that. It was. It was nine dollars at the at the Greenboro Record stuff. Wow, c sho. I feel like what he with him and like what Run the Jewels are doing. It's just very original. And I feel like what you guys, you guys are also original in your own way, and I feel like it be it'd be a crazy, it'd be crazy, you guys would be
crazy Jews. I ain't studied them like I should. I still be like focused on the Mike pr No, Mike's ship that he's he's working on some ship right now. He played me like twenty five songs the other night, and Jesus fucking Christ, what about Sidie the Prince? We mess how like maybe like once years ago, Bro, I ain't never did know. He's also from different time. That's too, so it ain't been like no pressure, got you, got you, got you. But also I ain't never did know that
would be interesting. Man, I'm just thinking, like, who's you guys can wrap your asses off? He could wrap his ass off, like you know, that might be too much ass off, might be too much bars. He might need more right right right right? Yeah, that's crazy. So we're gonna get out and hopefully by the summertime the single is out with a YO, And I think, you know, can we talk about just a real quick because I feel like we don't give his flowers and that man
his flowers. That man put man got a door because that man been going strong with ten plus for a yeah for I mean, and he was like leader of the blog era. I remember that running Bro me too. Gotta respect the man, Lenny has gotta respect what he's done. You know what I'm saying. Yeah, I feel like we just got to give some respect to because I feel like when we talk about like the grades of you know, I feel like, you know, he don't get mentioned enough.
Has had a consistent crazy career. Career is unmatched. You know what I'm saying. Like he has a hell of a career. Brool Jerry Sofield. Guys, you guys with I do like I like we like curves. I was gonna say I'm a curve guy. Larry Dave Yo to everybody. The only person I'll probably fucking like if I ever met i'd like really stand out like a bitch, would be Larry d If I met Larry David, I'd be
beside myself and you know he would be so annoyed. Yo, listen, but I know you don't want to take this picture. I know you hate everything about this moment. I know you hate it and I love it, and I know you know, let me just get this selfie. Bro so I would be kicking with him too much. If you live around from me in La, I would literally be the day Yo. Let me ask you guys this because with some of your guys is are working visuals and ship very very trippy ship. Do you guys partake in
any any cycle psychedelics at all? We definitely have in life. Yeah, think about this, man, you know what I'm saying. You ever seen my manager brought up today this video we did a long time ago called sixteen Binos in the Sweat. He was doing like psychedelics in the desert in that video, so so years ago. Mushrooms. You guys ever suck with DMT? Never did d MT. I never did DMT because it looked like cracking number one and then you got a free base it. Yeah, you know what I'm saying, look
like crack. And then they be saying it's like the feeling you get when you're born and you die, and I feel like that's special. So I'm just letting you know. You know, it's crazy. Mike Tyson does it like once a month. I know a lot of people that do it too much, but they all burned out, like also cannot if you can give it, come to it. So that's cool. Yeah, I've been That's that's the one thing that I haven't tried it, Like I just want to try Nah, only mushrooms, and he's pretty fun. It's very
clean feeling too. You just be like And then the other thing people do is like I got a homie that will go out to like he goes to Costa Rica and he does iwashed it like Sharman, Like that's like some powerful that's like yeah he says that version. Yeah, he's like I did thirty years of therapy and the whole in two days. I believe that. Damn. He was, like, I might get a little He did that ship and this guy his wife, my man was he smoked cigarettes his whole life. He had a cocaine problem. He was
a horrible gambler. Just got just my guy had a lot of vices. He did that ship. Hasn't touched a drug, a cigarette, nothing since I did it all. It's crazy. That's awesome. Yeah, I think. I think, like I think the one thing that psychedelics do is just kind of expand your mind to what's already there. Like what if you if you're on that side of not touching drugs and you do it, you probably go to the other
side of like cocaine and cigarettes and stuff. I want nothing to do with that Nope, this weed for me, man, join every now and then. Yeah, I think I think that it's just to kind of expand your mind to what's already there that we just just you know what I mean. I do feel like there's there's there's there is stuff that we don't see. That is the president. I think this alien ships about to pop off to keep it a buck. If I was an alien and I was looking down at this ship, I would not
come this way, be like what for what? I'll wait till you burn each other out and then just take it over. Like I feel like you smart enough to get across the universe, you should be smart enough to see that that's the ship. Could just wait for that to burn all they might need to come down here to humble all of us though. I mean this then ain't gonna happen, bro right, this world today, that capital, the Capital ship is crazy Capital, the Kovid, the war,
oh everything. If the world today came home with you and get you in a place and focus and love, then what's what we need? Yep? That's facts man. Well, look earth gang. I appreciate you guys for tapping in. Hopefully we get an album sooner than later, sooner, sooner, sooner, and uh the new single is out. Go support it, go, you know, go run that bitch up on at your radio stations and uh call in, get on their nerves. Bro, We're trying to do like they used to do back
in the day. You know what I'm saying. They used to call in and be like bugging you know what the problem is though most radio stations, well not in Atlanta obviously, but a lot of places, the stations, all the people are doing the shows from home. No one's there to answer the fucking calls. You got to throw rocks at the window. You just gotta tweet tweet the radio station and they'll keep it a buck A little secret.
All your fans. If you're in the car and you hear the record, shazam it because because if you know anyway, because radio stations look at the Shazam data and they use that ship to try to all the fans, all the Earth Game fans. Yo, play it in your car and off Spotify, and then what is this ship? Because it will help it, It will help it at radio right way to bootleg boom boom boom. Earth Game. Appreciate you all for checking in.
