Bouley Kap Podcast. We got a special guest in here, Mike Guy represent but let hell man the boy. Yes, sir, what's good? Bro? Man? I ain't know, Man, I'm just out your working man zombie right now and got no sleep man, straight work mode. Man. You I feel like it's been it's been at least a year year and a half since you've been back on the show man, So welcome back. I appreciate you for having me again.

So far, you hain't putting out a lot of music this year when we're used to you dropping so much. So I'm only assuming you got a whole lot of coming. I got a whole lot of coming for so, a whole lot of coming. Yeah, because you were you were putting some high pressure on twenty twenty two. Man, he is some high pressure for so, I ain't gonna lie. It's gonna be a lot of way more pressure than

while I was applying at twenty two. For real, I'm just getting started, for real, My year is just getting started. I had Ralphie the Plug on the show and he went viral because he was talking about how your album was much better than Kendrick's album. Hey Mama's shout out to Ralphie. Good guy. You guys drop that album on the same day. How do you Because I do feel like the people who give you respect are like the

people you're like you would really want respect from. But do you still feel like you're a little slept on? I mean, I ain't. I just put it like this, I ain't where I want to be. You feel me. I ain't know where where I want to be. I'm just key working. You feel me time. I'm just one of them. For I already believe. I already believe in myself that I wanted to. I just got to put it out there. You feel me put it in their face.

You feel me for to believe that too. I ain't gonna lie twenty twenty three, Like you say, I ain't been doing it, like I ain't gonna say I ain't been doing it. I've been doing it right, recording and I ain't been putting out though. Like I ain't gonna lie. My year really just start starting to get started for real when you got so much pressure. April fourteenth album album What's it called? I ain't gonna say album mix project seven songs, Nice seven songs? You got a name?

For it yep, two K twenty three. Oh I like it all right, two K twenty three. Man balling on these Man, I ain't gonna lie. This might be uh this, this might be my last solo album of this year for doing some clap albums with people. I got some, but I don't they might, they might drop, but I don't really count them for You know that when you say your last solo album, So what does that mean? Probably just for the year. I'm really just on some.

I'm gonna just be dropping, but I probably ain't gonna drop no tape for it, just like singles and probably just singles for it, just dropping. You know, the attention span so short, you feel me. He's just gonna keep it lit with some singles for real. What is uh? You know, we were just talking a little bit about

Russell obviously coming out of your town. So many legends to come out of Vallejo too, By the way, what is it like to kind of see someone like l Russell kind of take a different approach to the music industry? Obviously he's not really kind of right now, we get so much of the street music from Valletjo. He's kind of giving us a whole different side of the coin.

I tell so every time I see him, he'll tell you, I call him baby Jesus, right, baby Jesus, Like when we see the Russell, we believe type like that really really like he walking around his with angel wings and the heylole around his right when you walk around this to go like he's showing the way and he not. He's not putting on negativity in the world. Like he

pushing all positivity. Like I tell that, like you you're you're going to Evan for the show, like you got to like you spreading a good message like he want to. Like you know that, you know because in the Bible that they talk about that spreading by message. Here he a prophet. He wanted them no cat. Have you been to his house for any of his shows yet? Yeah? Pretty crazy. You got the backyard going crazy. It's right in the neighborhood. So and they and they so respectful.

He be on some pay what you want to like a mug. When you're doing like that, like to give you a hundred for a shirt, you feel you might have some little low ballers, but you're gonna run into some go even out. It's gonna even out for so, probably he's done. They're getting molded even out for so, I was gonna say, how far are you from compared to where his house is at? Are you that? Kind of like I ain't even in valid you talking about

like where we're from though, like where you're from? Yeah, like we're from around the corner for sure, Like we're both in the north. The North Hell is small, like really like it is very small. It's as small as an island. For I guess island's bigger than Vali. You obviously have's been somebody who tapped in with us what's going on in Stockton because Stockton's kind of on fire right now, man, kind of the Bay's cousin a little bit,

you know. Yeah, a lot of people who aren't from the Bay, lump, Sacramento, Stockton in the Bay all is one even though they're not. You worked with young Slope

before they passed away. Talk about your guys' relationship. Obviously rest in peace to him, but you know that was a big loss for Stockton or p my nigga, man, since I tapped in with him, like you feel me because you've just been genuine for as my nigga, like I call that nigga like we was just talk on some other shit, not even on no music shit for real, Like he'll come pull up on me. You feel me? Uh? I had Eyeline a little plays for him to go get this so you feel me? All type of little

ship as my nigga or p that nigga. Man, I fuck with I really fuck with mostly. I fuck with a lot of E B K niggas though I ain't gonna lie. I fuck with Jack, I fuck with j Bo Trey b Little Mable. I fuck with a lot of them niggas. Niggas cool. Do you ever do like shows and stocking? Uh? I did it so stacked him before. Probably I probably did a solo show like not too long ago, but yeah, it'd be so much shit going to I wouldn't even remember, for you've been a part

of some crazy shit man, for sure moments. I probably the last time I probably did it so stacked them, probably like a year or two ago. I don't remember being out there, but I know a nigga did a couple of shows out there for so Yeo, what was it like being a part of the Black Panther soundtrack, because that kind of was a moment Mama's Kendrick was on that record too. Yeah, that's a big deal. Now. First of all, not a lot of people these days to sharing records with Kendrick, And that's one of the

biggest movies of all time. So that's my biggest song to this day. That motherfucking with like double platinum in that muf for just the song itself. And they ain't got no video, you feel me, no video nothing. I feel like that was kind of like the last Hurrah for Soob kind of yeah, that was like our biggest I feel like after that ship is when ship kind

of started a yeah, man, a lot of shit started happening. Man, behind the scenes, you know that shit go, man, just some old brother ship though niggas fighting behind the scenes, like we brothers and we was young, you know how that shit go. Like, But what was that moment like for you, Like just kind of knowing you're making it onto a Marvel movie soundtrack and Kendrick's hopping on the record. I ain't gonna lie when we first got in the studio, we got on that ship, like, I really ain't think

it was gonna really come out. He's like, yep, we at least got the chance to be in the studio with that nigga and give us what. Oh you guys are in the studio, we got the So niggas really just had the mindset like shit. At least we got up in the studio and got the chance to you feel me, show that nigga what we got for real.

You feel it's a banger. But when that shit came out, I heard the Black Panther shit came out, but niggas ain't really think you feel me our shit was on there, so I really didn't nigga check like motherfuckers was just calling the nigga like, Yo, make the Black Panther soundtrack, y'all. Nigga's going crazy. Nigga your first stupid woo whoop. I'm like, hell nah, I'm in the studio at the time to record.

I go straight to the soundtrack. I listened to that shit the way you put the little pause on my ship. I was like, Oh, ain't gonna lie like that shit in there, like gaving nigga goose bumps. You feel me the way that that nigga hit the nigga with the boy, you feel me, then change the tempo for like folk boars, like, I ain't gonna lie that shit had a nigga feeling like a champion, you know, like when you growing up,

a nigga got you. You in sports, you in the trophies and shit, when I was playing sports, ain't gonna lie. I ain't really win too many trophies. Like I was really a street ball player, I wouldn't really you fd me one of the ones really really on the court, so you found me shit like that, Like that's a trophy for me. Listen, do you want to win some money? Got to stop the interview, but listen, there's so many opportunities to gamble, to bet on your favorite sports, to

make sports more interesting. NFL season is over, but it's all good because the opportunities to win are just getting started. Yeah. Look, there's so many things you can do. It's just the best, man, they are the best. We got

out to Hardean man. That's the family. Man. Go if you're in Vegas, pull up on the man Hardean, Las Vegas. Do you ever kind of because I saw low jjus got sentenced to some serious prison time, and we think kind of like everybody kind of went their own way when it came to the group. It feels like you're kind of the one guy who's kind of cut through and like been able to really be consistent and really kind of show and prove as a solo artist. A shout out to Young Al he's up. You know, he's

obviously had some dope solo shit too. But for you, like, I'm not knowing your personal relationship with these guys anymore, but do you tap in with somebody like little g if he you know, gets he has to go sit down for twenty years, like just on something like you said, some brothershit or is that relationship kind of a rap? Slimmy my brother? That's it, Slimmy my brother. That's fair. Who's gonna be on the epauh shit? Really? Just kallin for real, for real, for real. I can't wait to

hear that. You know, Mama's you know, I'm trying to push that. I'm trying to push that one. Uh, I'm trying to push that one sign. Man, I'm trying to gain my my lady fan base, you feel me? So he's on the hook. Yeah, for so that's sir. Was there something you guys got in the studio together on Yup Yup? I called that nigga that nigga pulled up, laid that bitch down, lay my shit down, Boom classic.

It's one of the ones too, My mama, Yo speak to me because Mac Tres from Vallejo and obviously you know, one of the more celebrated artists to come out of the Bay, especially if you're from the Bay. Did you grow up listening to Mac dre or was he? I mean that was kind of like past your generation a bit, Like was that something that you just kind of had to go back to your dre? Was you feel me?

Like his music was always around like of course, like niggas knew like all the all the big shit, like even like even like the big the songs that was like big in the streets, like niggas knew mostly and then like most of that ship though, like I really had to go back and go you feel me dig do my own little researching for real when I was young, like I was really into sit like like I was really into like the mainstream niggas like Lil Wayne, like

of course a young nigga at that time, like Soldier Boy, like I had to really do my own dig of course I knew the main shit though, but like to hear him on his gangster shit, like when he first came out, I had to go do my own research for sure. I do feel like you guys kind of influenced a generation. I feel like s ob y'all probably don't get as a group the credit you deserve in terms of you guys influenced a lot of LA guys.

I feel like a lot of like how you guys are rapping the flow, y'all had like kind of the slightly offbeat shit like I feel like you guys kind of And this can be said about the Bay Area in general with a lot of shit that happens. You guys influence a lot of shit, but don't necessarily get the credit for the influence that you guys have on hip hop, even LA hip hop. Do you guys, did

you guys notice that like happening? Because you guys are hot of ship moving and a lot of people in LA started to pop up that in my opinion, sounded a lot like what you guys are doing. Did you notice that? Yeah? For so you know how that shit go? Like, we don't really you know how that shit go? Like, we don't really get No, we don't get credit for a lot of shit, but you feel me like Nigga not gonna hit the scene, cry about it and pout for real. I mean like it is what it is

at the end of the day. Though, a lot of niggaggas that you feel me, A lot of niggas I'll run into, like they'll pay a nigga humus like when they see a nigga, but like Nigga probably not just gone. Ain't nobody's gonna want to put it out there like,

oh shit, I ain't gonna lie. I relieve like nigga really based my flow off the young niggas, like if we're young niggas, like maybe if we was like some OG's or something in the game, like motherfuckers, it'd be easier to pay hamas to be like, oh I really been grew up listening to Woo Woo woo young niggas. You feel me, don't nobody. Not too many motherfuckers want to give a young nigga too much credit, you feel me.

They think a young nigga big headed wool. They don't want to give a young nigga that much juice, that

much power. But niggas don't be you feel me like niggas be on some humble shit nigga not really chripping off that shit like it is what it is, Like I can't think of you guys, and I think it like Shortlin Mafia had like a lot of sons, Like yeah, for so you remember, like one motherfucker might copy us, and then a motherfucker that copy us, a motherfucker might have copied them might not even listen to me, Like it's just it's just so much recycled shit going on.

You don't know who a motherfucker really getting ship from. Like we started a lot of shit, but like a lot of shit got recycled, like you feel me, like motherfuckers get it's like lost files, Like motherfuckers don't know where they got this. In that front, It's all good though, Like I'm glad to see that motherfuckers created away for everybody to eat for real, because a lot of the young niggas seen was dead. It wasn't no young niggas really rapping for real, Like we taught young niggas how

to talk shit. You feel me just be free, You feel me speaking mind. It's a lot of cappers up on this bitch tool that you feel they making a way though you feel me congratulate them boys, feeding a lot of young niggas off the way. But a motherfucker started. But I ain't gonna say motherfucker. We all started this ship as a group. But you feel me like they ain't tripping out that shit. Let them boys go crazy.

But shout out all them boys like are you would you you said solo projects? Really

I probably I probably end up releasing one or two of them by the end of the year. Who I ain't gonna say all that, you feel me? It's some shit in the way because I got I gotta, I got some shit. I got some ship done. Anybody from Is it from the bay or outside of the bay? Uh? Yep? You out front of bay, front of bay, You and Lo Russell will

be crazy. Yeah. For so that'd be like a very good contrast of styles and content. It had me on my profit ship. We fucking around do some shit for so we gotta do some shit like modens just once on, like we gotta do a couple like for the culture for sure, for man for sure. Okay, so we got April Twelfthy said April fourteen, April fourteenth, NBA two K twenty three. Is that what's going on? Just two K two K twenty three The EP Caitlin for real for real on it. Yeah, anything else you got working on?

Brother man, shit, really Nigga's just working like I'm just I'm just going. I'm just going like it ain't no, it ain't no stop to this shit, Like I'm really not. I'm really just not focused on dropping tapes and EPs like I'm gonna just you feel me, just drop songs here and there, me see how that shit play out one time, just worry about not getting bipped out in the Bay was so hot time. Do you feel like it's finally starting to because I feel like during the pandemic,

like at least the city got like way worse. Do you feel like it's like starting get a little bit better. And for people who don't know, Bleha was not close to San Francisco, it's a it's what about forty five minutes like fucky five, like catch it then there'd be

an hour on a bad day for sure. Yeah for so, But like I do feel like the Bay kind of got pretty crazy in terms of just like lawlessness, homeless people, fucking motherfuckers running into CBS's and coming up as long as it's under a thousand dollars, do you feel like it's getting like a little better. It's starting to get

a little old. Not really, it's just it's a lot of shit going on, like that don't get posted like right, I be like me and my niggas like we be on the it's like a little app and let you know everything that's going with Citizen the Sity.
